Speaker 1 (00:00):
And Fox News Radio is Evan Brown is here. We
have a situation room. Situation here, Evan.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Good morning. Yeah, we certainly do. The Middle East is
about to be probably embroiled in a very big war,
not something that lasts twenty four or forty eight hours,
but something that could be ongoing as Iran is vowing
retaliation for the assassination of the Hamas leader Ismael Khania,

(00:28):
as well as a Hesbela figure as well, which of
course was a move in response to Hesbela striking a
town in northern Israel, killing twelve children. And so this
is where we're at. But Israel has demonstrated an ability
to wound Iran very quickly and very strongly. Iran was

(00:53):
certainly shocked by the Israeli ability to target a specific
person at a specific address, and it's did it ratchet
things up? Probably, But this has always been Iran's endgame anyway.
Iran has been looking to have a war with Israel
for forty years at the very least, so this has

(01:14):
sort of been a long time coming. But at the
same time, it's extremely dangerous. Israel is making a lot
of preparations to evacuate even more people. Remember there are
hundreds of thousands of people who have been living under
evacuation ever since October seventh, both around Gaza as well
as in the north of Israel. As Hesbala continues to
its rocket barrages. They were doing so even.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Last night, right, they're just raining down missiles from Lebanon.
And I guess there is some intelligence evan that this
is imminent. I mean we're talking this morning, this afternoon, tonight, tomorrow,
that there are no ideology says that there will be
an attack.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Now, yeah, there's a belief that its ski could be
coming today or tomorrow. There was also a lot of
chatter that it would be happening next week on the
August thirteenth, which corresponds to a Jewish holiday that commemorates
the destruction of the First and Second Temples, which is
known as sort of a bad luck day in Jewish life,

(02:15):
called the Chisha Bab, And so the fact that they
would choose a solemn holy day to do it is
really not a shock. I mean, the attack on October
seventh was during a festive holy day as well as
everyone remembers nineteen seventy three an attack on Yumki Port.
So if an Islamic nation were attacked or retaliated upon

(02:41):
on the Islamic holy day, there'd probably be a lot
of outrage. But when it's the other way around it,
it doesn't seem to be all right.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
I wonder what I mean. You're right, Certainly Israel's ability
to laser focus on specific areas, specific targets gives the
Iranian's pause. But I know the Israelis and everybody else
on the globe is worried about Iran having nuclear weapons.
That's the doomsday scenario is there. Does the United States

(03:10):
believe that that's a possibility.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Well, we have been hearing for years that they're very
close to being able to create a nuclear warhead. We
don't seem to know exactly when that's possible, or if
they may even have one yet, but that is a
very real fear that Iran would use a nuclear weapon.
Israel has reportedly anyway a supply of nuclear weapons that

(03:34):
could be used in retaliation, but they've always had them
as deterrence, in hopes that no one would try to
use them use such weapons against them. But you know,
Israel is more interested in stopping an attack than enduring
an attack, And the question I think that remains over
the next couple of days. Is will Israel conduct anything

(03:56):
proactively to try to head off an attack, because this
might not look like April if Iran attacks with just
a volley of missiles and drones that were somewhat easily
intercepted not just by Israel but by the United States,
by the United Kingdom, by Saudi Arabia, and by the

(04:16):
Jordanians as well. The Jordanians in the Saudiast have been
very upfront saying we are not going to let Iran
use our airspace to attack anyone. We don't trust the
Iranian weapons not to fall in our territory. We have
the right to defend our territory and we'll do that.
At the same time, both Saudi Arabian Jordanians have said

(04:39):
they're not going to participate in the strike against Iran,
as says the United States as well. So Israel has
help in terms of its defense, but in terms of
anything that is proactive, Israel would probably be going it alone.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
That been just before we run here talking with that
from Fox News Radio. What when we hear this term
repeatedly a broader Middle East conflict, what does that mean?
What does that entail exactly other countries becoming involved.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Iran has already said that they don't care if they
drag other nations into this, meaning the Arab nations that's surrounded,
so that would mean Saudi Arabian, the UAE, and Jordan
and Syria and Lebanon. Iran has often been criticized, historically
been criticized the Islamic Republic of Iran anyway of using

(05:28):
both Arabs and Shia and Sunni Arabs specifically as cannon
fodder because they don't like to fight or they can't
necessarily fight their wars by themselves. Iran has always relied
on proxies and whatnot, But a broader war would mean
Israel not only exchanging fire with Iran, but also, as

(05:51):
it's been doing, targeting Iran's proxies which live in other nations.
It means Hezbollah in Iran, it means excuse me. In Lebanon,
it means the who these as we've been seeing, But
it also means catent Hasbila in Iraq, it means the
other Hasbela factions in Syria and uh And the big question,

(06:11):
I think for everyone is what happens with Turkey. Who
has promised to a Iran, But Turkey is a NATO member,
And what would the United States do, or the United
Kingdom or the rest of Western Europe do if Turkey
gets involved. Would they be looking to do with this
on a NATO level where they have to provide some

(06:33):
sort of defense to Turkey or what so that that's
another big question.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Yeah, sure it does. Having great information, Thank you you,
bet Evan Brown, Fox News Radio here on news Radio
eleven ten KFAB this Monday morning. Keep an eye on that,
of course, and I'll bring you any breaking news on
that as it happens.
