(00:00):
Michael Connolly is back here on newsradio eleven ten kfab Michael, good to
see you, Good to see you, Scott. I can confirm that Scott
is indeed wearing pants. Thank youvery much. I appreciate that's nice to
have a spotter. I appreciate thebackup you have run for office before you
were among a crowded field of Republicanprimary candidates two years ago in the governor's

(00:23):
race. Did you win, justfell a short, all right? But
now you're part of a much lesscrowded field. It's a really I don't
know if there's anyone else in thisRepublican field for Nebraska's first district. There
might be a couple of stray candidates, no offense, but it's you and

(00:44):
the incumbent, Mike Flood. Andof course, the money says that Mike
Flood's going to have no problem gettingby you in the primary and probably be
all right in the general election inNovember against a pretty strong challenger in Carol
Blood. So talk a little bitabout your candidacy as the Nebraska first District
congressional candidate, but I want totalk a lot more about your thoughts on

(01:07):
things, because whereas you know, the odds makers say that you don't really
have a shot in this race.A lot of this that you say are
things that people say, Well,I really like what Michael Connolly has to
say, and I wish Mike Floodwould say those things. But then they
don't vote for you, So Imean that remains to be seen. We

(01:29):
were going to let you run inthe primary anyway here on May fourteenth,
But let's just start here with someof the things that you think that Flood
is not doing as a representative forNebraska's first district that you would like to
see done well. Recently, Floodgave an impassioned speech on the House floor
about how we should send all ofthe billions of dollars over to Ukraine.

(01:55):
Now I am completely opposed to this. If you go back in history and
you look at what we've done tothe Soviet Union in the past, during
the Reagan era, when the Russiansinvaded the Afghanistan in seventy nine, he
secretly sent weapons to the rebels thereand they wore down the Russian military and

(02:15):
we basically bankrupted them and we brokeapart their empire. But now you look
at current the current situation. Whatis happening. One thing that people need
to realize is when they look atall of the time periods when Russia invades
the neighboring countries and annexes portions portionsof them, they only do this when

(02:37):
oil prices are very high. Sowhen they started canceling all of these drilling
permits around the country, that forcedthe price of oil up very high.
We've got that situation. And thennow if I start to monologue too much,
just break it hot. Well,it just cut me off. But
we've got that situation. So evenif we dumped billions and billions and billions

(02:58):
in there, the Russian economy iscontinuing to improve because we have forced the
price of oil up. Of course, we also abandoned all of our billions
of dollars worth of weapons in Afghanistanthat would have been very easily given to
Ukraine. Instead, they actually hadan excuse it was too expensive to transport
them back. I still I can'texpress words, probably over the radio,

(03:23):
when I think about that situation.A lot of people very upset with this
botched pull out of Afghanistan, particularlythe family and friends of Corporal Daga Page
here in Omaha, so that issomething that your visible frustration here in the
studio is palpable and shared. WhenI hear you saying these things, though,

(03:44):
I mean, is it that you'rerunning against Mike Flounder, You're running
against President Biden here? Well, sometimes I wonder if it's almost the same
thing. They have a group that'scalled the American Conservative Union, and what
it does is it looks at allthe voting records of all of the Poultice
Titians. The lifetime record voting scorefor Mike flood is a sixty percent conservative

(04:06):
rating. Now, I wanted tosee how I compared, so I basically
covered up their recommendations. I lookedat the bills and I did a self
vote. I scored one hundred percenton conservative rating. In fact, there
are other challengers across the state thatall score right at or near one hundred
percent. Another interesting thing is allof the challengers, congressional challengers, every

(04:30):
single one of them are either Marinesor Marine Corps families. That's something that
a lot of people don't know. There is something I'd like to mention really
fast about the Afghanistanian withdrawal. Iam an educational director and I run private
schools now remotely over in Japan.I do special lessons, lessons on international

(04:51):
monetary systems, military things, andwe discussed the Afghanistan withdrawal. I gave
the list of all the various differentsteps that an individual that a country can
take when they leave, when theywithdraw the military. I had the upper
elementary school students go through this andput them in order, and what would

(05:13):
be the very best order to withdrawfrom a country? A fifth grade boy
was voted as the best one ofall of them. He read all of
his responses and was excellent. Hedid excellent work. Then I told them
what we really did, and thefifth grade grade boy, this Japanese elementary
school kid, said what moron wouldhave done? Something like that. It's

(05:36):
the guys in charge right now.And we had a mock election between this
fifth grade boy and Biden, andtwenty three to zero, the Japanese elementary
school students voted this fifth grade elementaryschool boy as a more competent leader of
the United States than Biden. What'she doing in November? Let's focus on

(06:00):
what you said a moment ago.Talking with Michael Connolly, Nebraska first District
Congressional candidate in the upcoming Republican primaryagainst Mike Flood. You said that Congressman
Flood and President Biden not much differencebetween them. Congressman Flood, the last
time I heard him on this radiostation, it called in to Emery Songer
Show in the afternoon and he wasdown there live at our southern border saying

(06:21):
that the President has messed this upalmost beyond repair and we need to do
something. That doesn't sound like someonewho's is similar to the president. Well,
perhaps I was stretching it a littlebit. He's actually a lot more
similar to Carol Blood. They havevarious different organizations to send out surveys for

(06:43):
cannabis to fill out. They haveone called Active Vote, and Active Vote
is different in that when you submitall your answers, it takes them and
it plots your photo on an ideologicalchart. If you are conservative, if
you are a liberal, where youare. And the interesting thing on this
is Mike Flood is dead center, right in the very middle. His photo

(07:05):
is there, and touching his photois Carol Blood. So ideologically they are
extremely similar. So now Biden,he's clear off into the left wing.
So that was an exaggeration he's morelike blood than he would be Biden.
And just don't misunderstand. I'm notsitting here too be a spokesperson for the
Flood for Congress campaign. Oh they'renot paying me neither, are you.

(07:29):
I'm just asking questions. Yes,yes, And I want to come back
to what you said here about Russiaand Ukraine. You wouldn't put a dime
into Ukraine to deal with Russia.Well, we'll address that, We'll address
Israel and a whole lot more heretalking with Michael Connolly. His website is
Connolly for Congress dot Com. Thebest way to find it, though,

(07:51):
is to type in Connolly Nebraska.Otherwise there are so many Conolly's in Congress
that you'll be buried before you're runningto my website. And your spelling is
a little different. You know,N E. L. Y. About
three or four generations back our family, they were all double l's. They
all changed their spelling. They werelike thirteen boys in the family. They

(08:13):
all change their spelling. So youhave a variety of Conley's throughout the state.
Most of them are my relatives.Okay, two ends one L Connolly
ends one L Connollyfourcongress dot com Morewith Michael Connolly next Scott Voice News Radio
eleven ten kfaby. Michael Connolly's inthe studio. He is a congressional candidate
in Nebraska's District one. A lotof territory to cover in District one.

(08:37):
Here, Mike Flood, the representativein that district, is vying for reelection
first in the Republican primary on Mayfourteenth. Michael Connolly's here in the studio.
You got Lincoln, you got partsof the Omaha area, so a
lot of ground to cover there, and that's what we're doing here this morning.
In our conversation, you said youwouldn't give a dime to Ukraine.

(08:58):
Now people say, oh, youwant Russia to You're one of these Trump
guys that loves Vladimir Putin and youwant Russia to win. Don't we have
an obligation to stand up against Russia. Let me tell you Putin is a
bad egg. Now, Biden instigatedthis fight with Russia. We had biowarfare
labs set up in Ukraine across fromthe Russian border. What would we do

(09:18):
if Russia came instead of biowarfare labsover into Mexico And then the Bidens were
hinting actually verbally stated that they wouldlike to put Ukraine into NATO. That
also would be like Russia setting upin Mexico and putting their missile systems along
our border. Yep. Biden instigatedthis fight, but we can't bankrupt them

(09:41):
like we did before because the priceof oil is exceptionally high. Russia always
invades and annexes when oil is high. Now, Russia could have hit the
biowarfare labs and backed away, butthey didn't because they have the oil rich
areas targeted. If you look atthe air is that they capture, that
they annex, they are trying tocontrol all of the oil rich fields.

(10:05):
They don't care if they lose afew thousand of their guys. But we've
already sent multiple billions there. Theyhave no control over the Bunny. Basically,
they send it out. We're supportingtheir entire government. We're paying the
pensions for the Ukrainian workers, We'redoing everything. Not only that, but
the Europeans wanted to send aircraft into Ukraine, and Biden was trying to

(10:30):
block the Europeans from sending weapons systemsinto Ukraine. There is massive corruption going
on there. They've had enough. If we really want to help Ukraine,
we cannot do it by pumping moneyinto it. What we have to drill
do is drill so much oil thatwe collapse the price of oil. It
will bankrupt Russia. They will notbe able to afford to wage war.

(10:54):
Later on my website, I'll havea little news article, a story about
a Russian boy that I ran intodown in mexic Ago who had been given
a draft card to report over there. Most people don't realize that when the
Russians have to report in, theymust pay for their own uniforms, they
must buy their own weapon, theyhave to take money out of their savings.
Their family spends the money to sendthose Russian soldiers up to the front

(11:16):
line. And you mentioned about howwe need to drill more here in America,
we are now drilling even less thanwe ever had. They've taken more
rigs off line, and we're doingless and less of that. What about
Israel? What should our stance bewith our ally in Israel? Israel is

(11:39):
a completely different story. Now.I worked One of the main jobs that
I did in the military was inmilitary intelligence, classified material control. We
have a very very close knit linkwith Israel and their intelligence services. They
have saved countless thousands of Americans bygiving us the intel. Israel is essential

(12:01):
for our safety. Israel is acompletely different situation me maybe because of being
an old Marine Corps sergeant. Withintwenty four hours, I would have called
out the Rapid Marine Force. Basically, within twenty four hours, one fourth
of all the Marines can go anywhereon the planet. I would have had

(12:22):
them immediately in Israel because they killedand captured American citizens as well. So
yeah, I support Israel completely. We need them. Israel is essential for
our military intelligence, and we alsohad Americans captured and killed. But I
wouldn't be debating about whether we werejust sending them money. I would have

(12:43):
had our marines there within twenty fourhours, potentially escalating that powder keg that
is the Middle East, to bringingIran into play. Who would be fighting
us with weapons that they'd gleaned fromthe money that we gave them, dropping
it on their What would you do. Let's say, let's put you in
the role of a college president andyou've got these Free Palestine rallies going on

(13:07):
on your campus encampments and so forth, what would Chancellor Michael Connolly of America
University. Do I would have variousdifferent people out video recording them, and
if you hear one of them chantingfrom the River to the Sea, which
basically calls for the extinction of theJewish people, you immediately have them arrested

(13:31):
and charged on terroristic threats. Iwas also worked a little bit as a
military police. I am not tolerantof things like that. Imagine if you've
got some guy walking into a storeand he starts telling people that he wants
to kill them, he wants tokill them all. They're going to pick
up this guy, They're going toarrest him, They're going to throw him

(13:52):
in jail. If you've got acrowd of people doing that, you move
faster, and you move harder, and you take out that crowd. Now,
if someone just says we just wantto end the war, we don't
like all this fighting. Hey,that's perfectly fine, that's freedom of speech.
But once you start threatening people, once you start making terroristic threats,
you are breaking the law. Andthey are extremely tolerant of this BS in

(14:16):
the colleges, and I would notbe. It would be a matter of
hours before that entire group would disappear. They would not be there anymore except
for a few stragglers off the sidesaying let's not fight anymore. I can
handle that. Your thoughts on PresidentsBiden and Trump, because so much of
this election is tied in to thesetwo guys. Boy, Biden, this

(14:39):
guy is. This guy should bea fiction writer. He is amazing everything
that he says. Give him someslack. His uncle was eaten by cannibals.
Yeah, yeah, that caused alot of stress. I can see
the emotional trauma that that causes forhim, and it just it kind of
distorts all of these other perceptions. Now as far as Trump is Trump narcissism,

(15:01):
yes, Is he a womanizer?Yes? Does he do a lot
of things that really annoy the hellout of people. Yes. And he's
probably one of the most effective andbest presidents we've ever had. The guy's
effective. It's like looking at theIsraelis. The Israelis a few years ago
they were laughing at us. Theywere making fun of the Americans because some

(15:22):
general who had separated from his wifefor several years had some girlfriend and they
said he was still officially married. He had a girlfriend, and they fired
him, and the Israelis said,We've got like a couple of our top
generals. They have mistresses, andeverybody knows who the mistresses are. We
don't care because they're the best generals. They can do the job better than

(15:45):
anyone else. It doesn't matter whatTrump's personality is like. He does the
job better than anybody else. Connollyfocongressdot com two n's one l co n

Michael Connolly, Nebraska Congress. He'slooking to unseat Mike Flood in the

(16:07):
Republican primary on May fourteenth. We'vetalked with Congressman Flood on this radio station
and may do so again. Hehasn't been on this show here in a
while, but may do it beforeTuesday's primary. Michael, always good talking
with you. Thank you very muchfor coming in and chatting a little bit
here. It's always a good conversation. Thanks a lot for doing it.
