Speaker 3 (00:44):
A good morning, every bought it, and welcome aboard the
Disney Wonder Here we are. Yeah, we are on board
the Disney cruise to Alaska. This is day number two.
We uh, we got on but was embark We embarked.
We embarked yesterday out of Vancouver, BC, and now today
(01:08):
is a sea day. It's an at sea day as
we make our way to places like Juno Where else
are we go? And we're going yeah, yeah, a lot
of these places. I'm sure by the end of this
vacation I'll be very well versed in how to say
all this stuff. Oh yeah, yeah, But anyway, welcome, it
is the wood Show. Not everybody is here on the cruise.
(01:30):
We have people, of course, that are running things back
at wood Show headquarters. For example, we got bored and
Menji they're doing their thing. Morgan is back there doing
her thing with Vaughan. They're running thing. Seabasses off this week.
He wasn't really needed for anything because we only had
so many spots that we can get you know, for
on the ship, right, and quite frankly that, like we
(01:51):
mentioned before, this is not really like a seamasses. Yeah yeah,
can you image sea mass running around a bunch of
kids were wanting to hang out with us? Anyway, my
name is one exactly. That's great, Gory, Happy Alaska Cruise, Menace,
Happy Alasta Cruz Woodie. All right, there's a loving this,
Gina grad Hi. All right, we got Sammy morning. Phones
(02:12):
not working so great. I mean, it's it's hit or
miss as far as I get. I think just getting
people on the air is probably gonna be easier for
we just do a text. Yeah, so you can send
your text over to two to nine eight seven coming
up on the show this morning. Got some woodies, show,
food news. We're being a little with that. We've got
the we got all the entertainment stuff as always. Uh
and yeah, obviously a lot of stuff from uh, you know,
(02:34):
from what's going on here with the cruise itself. Yep.
And you have a chance to win your very own
Disney cruise. It's the seven night Disney Alaskan Cruise. You
and three people are keyword today, just like we did
all last week. The keyword today is whale w h
A L E. So anytime between now and midnight tonight,
(02:55):
it's a keyword for the entire day is whale. Just
go to the woodieshow dot com enter that keyword whale
and you could be ending up on a Disney cruise
of your own, like just like just like this one
actual one. Yeah. Also, I have a topic that I
want to get to you later. What's the best vacation
you've ever been on? If you're planning, because now that
(03:17):
we're past Memorial Day, it's the unofficial beginning of summer
Memorial Day, and so now you're planning and looking forward
to what you want to do. Maybe a couple of
tips on how to save a couple bucks, that'd be nice,
But like, what's the best vacation could be? From me
when you were a kid or when you got older,
best vacation you ever went on? Again, you can send
that over on the text over to two two nine
eight seven. Of course, make sure you're following us on
(03:39):
social media at the Woody Show. The list of the
top US summer travel destinations for twenty twenty five is out.
Speaking of traveling based on affordability attractions, then you know
overall fun. The top five are Orlando, Florida. Sure, and
not just the theme parks Disney right, Yeah, but Orlando's
got tons of a affordable hotels, a variety of attractions,
(04:02):
so you can go check that out. Atlanta was number two, okay,
which I would have never thought, like, I'm going somewhere
with like my kids, Let's take a trip to Atlanta.
I mean, go to the Coca Cola World, I guess neat. Yeah,
you guys would go take the tour of the CNN Center. Yeah,
Atlanta looks nice. I honestly have never been either. My
(04:24):
my grandfather worked in Atlanta and lived there for a while,
and I remember we went there and we went to
Stone Mountain. What's up Stone Mountain, Georgia. There's like an
old Confederate carving in the side of like a mountain.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
Yeah, it's the guy that isn't that the guy that
made Rushmore didn't do that.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
Maybe I don't remember the history of it. Remember they
did like a laser light show on the side of
Stone Mountain. I think it's the same. If you google it,
you'll see Stone Mountain. It's like a general lee on
horseback and a bunch of others, and I remember like
a handful of because I hadn't thought about Stone Mountain
and forever since I was a kid. And uh, there
(05:01):
were some storks. They're trying to get the place I
think shut down because it was like when they were
taking all the statues down, like everywhere, and like, oh,
this person's canceled and that person's canceled. Tina looked it up.
It looks mad boring.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
It looks cool, mad boring, especially a kid going yeah,
not boring, not on your list of things to do.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
But but here's the thing. You were able to take
a what do they call it a gondola like to
the top of it. That part was cool. Yeah, I
thought that part was cool. Number three again top summer
US travel destinations for affordability, attractions and overall fun. Number
three of all the places, Washington d C.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
Huh oh yeah. You just walk around and look at
the mall.
Speaker 6 (05:51):
So many schools do trips there, like middle school kids
are always going to d C.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
Yeah. Imithsonian's free, right, this is it free? I think
you can just.
Speaker 7 (05:59):
Walk in and there are some very cool museums.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
SMITHSONI okay, but they say free museums and a high
safety rating. I just thought that. I thought, you see,
it was always dangerous.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
Yeah, I think within a certain block radius.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Maybe look at the first spots, it's fine. Other than Orlando,
this is the other one that makes sense. In the
top five of the top summer travel spots. Honolulu. Okay,
so the weather diverse activities.
Speaker 4 (06:23):
I'm telling you, the revamp of Waikiki Beach is awesome.
There's so many different like food halls and shopping areas.
Speaker 8 (06:30):
It is.
Speaker 4 (06:31):
If you haven't been there for like, let's say ten years,
it's a completely different experience.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Yeah, Honolulu. By the way, Woodies Show City, we are
proud to air there weekday mornings. Also another Woody show
city on the list of the number five, Austin, Texas.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
Yes, Austin, Oh girl, it's.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Great live music, food scenes, outdoor fun. Some other Woody
show cities that made the list. Starting with the top
and then working our way down the rankings. Philadelphia ranked
number eight on the list. Lots to see so history, culture, cuisine,
making it a top pick for summer travelers. Dallas Fort
Worth at number ten. All right, so there's a blend
of modern attractions in classic Texan charm.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
They say to Grandscape at the Colony. Yeah, it's awesome.
That's my jam right there.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Number twenty two. En list the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Nicely,
number twenty two. Okay, the Steel City surprises with his
vibrant art scene and scenic riverfronts. Okay, sure, yeah, I
mean I love Pittsburgh, but not for like I don't.
Here's the thing. My wife. My wife is from Saint Louis.
Yeah right, I'm from Pittsburgh. I wouldn't say either city is.
Speaker 7 (07:36):
Like a like a destination.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
You go there because like, okay, your your kid is
in a cheer competition, Sam Bayer. You go there because
you want to check out the ballpark. A lot of
people go just to dou'ble do that ballpark tour.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
P and C is.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
Always one of those places. And then you'd hit typical stuff.
You do the incline, you do a couple of things. Yeah,
but like anybody who go, all right, kids, we're saving
for a trip to Pittsburgh for vacation. I've never understood
that the same way I would see I would see
tourists in Saint Louis were like, what are you doing here?
When I lived in and I would go to my wife, like,
you're from here, do you get it? It's a great
(08:09):
I'm not saying it. It's a great place to live,
and it is Pittsburgh, same thing. Great place to live, Yeah,
but would you go there on vacation If.
Speaker 8 (08:15):
You're from the Midwest in a small town, you want
to check out the big cities.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
I'll say this about Pittsburgh though.
Speaker 4 (08:20):
What I like about it is is very concentrated when
it comes to like PPG and yeah, all the sports
complexes are downtown, the casinos right there, you know, like
you can you can get around.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
Yeah. Then you got Los Angeles number twenty seven on
the list. Wow, I'm surprised by that, But it's because
of the higher costs and because of its legendary terrible traffic.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
Yeah, going back to the Saint Louis thing, and like,
why would people even go there? Even at its height
of San Francisco where it wasn't as crappy as it
is now, I would still think, like, why would people
even come here?
Speaker 3 (08:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (08:54):
I mean it was a beautiful city.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (08:57):
The first time I went there, I was in early two.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
It was awesome. Let me tell you what do you do?
Let me tell you where San Francisco ranks on this list,
number eighty nine. WHOA gone so downhill?
Speaker 4 (09:07):
I will say this though, the Disney Family Museum really
really cool. Yeah, and it's located in San Francisco, by
the way.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
San Francisco number eighty nine. The city by the Bay
may be impacted by its high living costs, crime, homeless
people being everywhere, and other factors being shut down everywhere.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
I can tell you the Disney Family Museum is not
near any of that. It's by the Golden Gay Bridge.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Working down the list of what he shows, Citi's number
thirty seven. The list is New Orleans. Okay, so fun music,
food festivities, Okay, Las Vegas and city number thirty eight.
All right, Well do lots to do. But I think
it's a little bit about affordability at this point. Yeah exactly.
But also because like it's not a family Yeah, I
shouldn't be people bring their family. They shouldn't.
Speaker 6 (09:50):
Why there's still suffer kids to do that?
Speaker 3 (09:54):
You would ever want to know? Why you want to
go to Vegas? You can excuse no. I think the
people that you see with the kids there, I'm not
sure they bring them on vacation. I think it's more
they're there visiting maybe a family member or somebody else,
like a friend that they know, and so they have
like a night out, and so they have the kids
with them as they bring. But that's that's not like
they did. All right, kids, let's pack up the car. Yeah,
we're going to make we're going. We're going to Las
(10:15):
Vegas for the week.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
Yeah, but those baby shoulders at one am through the casino,
you're like, what are you?
Speaker 3 (10:21):
And then here we gonna take the break out. Number
seventy on the list is Indianapolis, so sports, cultural attractions,
things like that, all right, eight seven seven forty four
would again be thinking about, uh, what's the best vacation
you've ever taken? Eight seven seven for Yeah, that's right.
The phones aren't Are you talking to me? Yeah, I'm
I'm in such a routine despite my surroundings here on
(10:42):
the Disney Wonder on our way to Alaska. Yeah, you
could text us, send us a text over to two
two nine eight seven more Woody Show from the High
Seas coming up next, hang on showing All right, well
we were into another new hour insensitivity training for any
politically correct world. It's the Woodi Show. On board the
(11:04):
Disney Wonder on our way to Alaska. This is the
Disney cruise that we've been talking about. And now we're
here and yeah, by the way, everybody's like, oh, you
guys are on vacation. Yeah, it's a lot of we're
doing a lot of running around. We're doing the stuff
that Disney needs us to do, and then we're also
(11:25):
doing the show. Yeah, it is kind of nice. I'm
looking at these other radio stations that are here, and
a lot of the people who are here are not
doing the types of shows that we're doing. The like
they're on like where they play a bunch of music
like DJ's like the regular solo people. Yeah, and so
it's like they have a lot of downtime.
Speaker 8 (11:45):
Yeah, and I'm become jealous.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
Yeah, all right, So the phone's not not great, so
like we're just kind of relying on text. You can
send your text over to two to nine eighty seven
on what that's great gory. There's Menaced is here. We
got Sea Bass back at home. I'm telling that he's
not here. Sammy's here, everybody else is back at the
Woody Show headquarters. Seaback. SeaBASS actually has the week off,
(12:12):
he wasn't needed for anything, so he looked out, Yeah,
but this is uh this trip. And then later on
this year, my wife and I were going to Mexico
our annual trip with our friends with no kids, and
we did the you know, we did the whole thing
with my mom over spring break. We're doing the fourth
of July with my dad. So the family obligation stuff,
(12:35):
which are trips, differentiate. Yeah, So there's a difference between
a trip and a vacation for sure. Yeah, there's you
can go on a trip and that's when you go
see family. Anything family related is a trip. Anything where
it's like you're going somewhere just for like to go
to a particular place like a getaway like this case Alaska,
(12:56):
that's a vacation. Yeah. For sure, trips we go and
stay at your parents out just so they the parents
can see the grand kid. That's a trip.
Speaker 8 (13:04):
That's a trip.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
That is a trip. If you're planning a vacation this summer.
Some tips from the experts on how to save money
when you book stuff. Number one is to be flexible
with your dates, because if you're you're locked in the
traveling on a specific day, like especially if it's one
of the summer holidays. For the July or Labor Day weekend,
it's going to be a lot more expensive than traveling
on a random Tuesday or Wednesday.
Speaker 5 (13:26):
Well that's because most people can't be flexible, yeah, with
their jobs.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
Yeah, but I mean if you have vacation time, like
I think, I think I think people are kind of
hardwired in programmed to say like, oh, well, it has
to be Monday through Friday, Like, why couldn't you go
Wednesday to Wednesday? Sure, that's true, right, but I guess
you want to butt it up at least the ends
one of the weekend.
Speaker 8 (13:46):
Get the extra couple of days.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
Yeah, they say, you try to avoid flying on Sundays
and Mondays. Those days tend to be the most expensive,
according to the data from the app Hopper Mondays Friday.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (13:59):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
There was a time when, you know, vacation rentals like
Airbnb's were usually cheaper than a regular hotel. But that's
so yeah, but that is not the case anymore. This
is what Gregy has been saying about, like going to
Las Vegas. Yeah, oh my god, Like, unless you live
in Las Vegas. But if you're going on a trip
to Las Vegas prepared to drain your entire life saving
and that's why Vegas has been getting killed.
Speaker 4 (14:21):
But I think it is starting to go down because
they're getting killed. I was just there for EDC and
I was shocked because I had to book my own,
my own hotel. I didn't have my travel agent. I
was shocked on how affordable it was for that weekend
because they know half a million people are coming that weekend,
(14:43):
they're gonna shack up the prices. It was crazy affordable.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
Yeah that's good. Yeah, I mean because like you see
all these reports about like all the Vegas resorts and stuff,
and because they let it get out of control, they
let it get to control, like the room prices, the
drink prices, the food price, the price of everything charging.
You know what.
Speaker 4 (15:00):
I looked up the same hotel that I stayed at
and it was so I'll just tell you the room
that I got. It was like two eighty a night.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
I looked up that same room I would say, three
months before it was six forty.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (15:16):
Well, I think it's hard to get out of the
mindset of what you originally paid for something. Yeah, when
Airbnb first came out, you could stay at an apartment
in New York City for five hundred.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Bucks for five days.
Speaker 7 (15:27):
Yeah for nothing, Now it would be.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Five hundred a night. Tell, Yeah that was the introductory price.
Speaker 6 (15:34):
Pay for all the cleaning fees and everything.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Well, they want you to clean also, right, Another trip
tip to save some money, stay in the outskirts. You know, like,
the closer you stayed to all the action, the more
expensive crap is. So consider staying a little further out,
especially if there's a good public transportation.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
Yeah, if you're going to take public transportation, because yeah,
you think about it, Uber and Lyft and all this
stuff is crazy expensive as well. So you're like, oh,
I get a great deal on this whole tell because
it's a little on the outskirts.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
But do you have to think about how you're gonna get.
Speaker 6 (16:04):
Back in if you're going into a city.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
Yeah, pay with credit card points. Yes, yes, this one's
tough if you don't have many points saved up already.
But if you are sitting on a bunch of points,
use some of them to book your flight, your hotel,
or your rental car. But points usually go further when
you use them for cross country or international flights, So
you know, booking hotels during off peak times, you actually
(16:27):
get a pretty good deal on that.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
My buddy, every dollar he spends he runs it through
he has a Hilton card. Yeah, every single dollar he
spends he uses that Hilton card. And he says that
like luxury resorts in like Cabo, like wolldarf the story
or whatever it is. And that's what he does around
the world. It just because not even a dime goes. Yeah,
(16:50):
get spent off that card.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
You know what I've been doing. I got this. I
got a new credit card through Bank of America. Yeah,
have some of my accounts and stuff, and it's like
a I forget three point two percent cash back on
all the SUD So basically anything I spend on there,
I'm saving three percent. And so I get that. At
the end of the month when they post all my
(17:11):
points and stuff, I just take that and convert it
back to the cash and put it right towards so
like I saved towards the balance. Yeah. So you know,
instead of paying one hundred bucks for it, I paid
what ninety seven? Yeah right, I'm trying to do. Yeah,
that's pretty good, right, you know, that's crazy good cash back.
As the Apple Card. I'll see if Yeah, I've never
(17:32):
used I use Apple Pay for Do you use Apple Pay?
Speaker 4 (17:34):
I am now an I used to. It's weird, you know,
I'm very it's very tech pro technology. But I was
very anti Apple Paid for some reason. Yeah, because it
wasn't really available anywhere when they first started.
Speaker 3 (17:50):
Now I use it all the time. All right. So
we're on the the Disney Wonder. We're on our way
to Alaska. We're giving away that Disney cruise. You can
win a seven night Disney Alaskan cruise for you and
three people total for you. You could be on board
experiencing all these cool things that we're doing. If you're
not following us on social media this week, you definitely should. Yeah,
if you have any interest with me, we're doing all
these excursions for the rest of the week and the time. Yeah,
(18:12):
we're doing the We're doing the show here from from
the Shipball week. Oh.
Speaker 5 (18:16):
Can I offer one more travel tip of all people?
I have a travel tip, speak to a local if possible,
because this reminds me of Woody's wedding and I was
booking a hotel room for his wedding weekend and I
booked it with a view of the Arch of Saint Louis,
and I thought, how nice? How perfect is that? Told Woody,
I'm like, hey, I booked my room. Yeah, we're staying
at the such and such and you are ten feet
(18:38):
from the arch, And he said, don't stay there. You're
not going to be able to walk anywhere. It's not
that great neighborhood. Yeah, it's not the best part of
the Telly.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
Yeah. So then I got a way better hotel.
Speaker 8 (18:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
So if you if you can talk to a local. Yeah, well,
if you want to go on this Disney Alaska cruise,
you can win your own three hundred dollars Disney gift
card up for grabs, get you qualified for the Grand
Prize draw, which is the cruise. The keyword today is
whale w h A L E. So anytime between now
and midnight tonight, you just want to go to the
(19:09):
woodieshow dot com. That's thewoodieshow dot Com. Enter the keyword
whale for your chance to win the Disney cruise and
we're gonna take a quick break. We'll come back. I
do want to get into the topic. What was the
best vacation you ever took?
Speaker 2 (19:22):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (19:22):
Yeah, and why like what was so great about it?
It doesn't have to be as an adult. It could
have been when you were a kid. But the man
is somebody, what's the single greatest vacation you've ever taken?
What was it? You can text over to tow nine
eight seven? Who am I the Woody Shop? All right,
So what's the best vacation you've ever taken? I mean,
(19:45):
this one's too early to tell, sure, right, I mean
I know it's it's already grabbed me. I love the ship.
I've been on this ship before. My wife and I
we took the kids on like a little five night
er on the Disney Wonder, on this ship that we're
on right now. As we said here, it wasn't to Alaska,
Yeah we we we took it to like Cabo and
(20:06):
what's what's the.
Speaker 7 (20:07):
Like around the peninsula that Yeah, yeah, so we did
just to see if the kids.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
The kids loved it. Yeah, as your steps, I'm.
Speaker 7 (20:15):
Doing loving it, never getting on.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
Yeah, your kid could be a mouseket here more so,
we're on the Disney Wonder. We're on our way to Alaska.
You can win your own Disney cruise. The word is
wil w h A L E that's today's keyword. Just
go to the woodieshow dot Com enter that keyword there
and that is your chance to win. So I asked
you the question, like, what's the what's the best vacation
(20:40):
you ever took? Best vacation ever, Greg, what's yours? Well?
Speaker 5 (20:44):
I have a lot of memorable vacations. I kind of
categorize these like weddings, because you know how you were.
You've been to one hundred weddings. You don't really remember
all of them. You remember the really great ones, really
bad ones. I have a lot of memorable vacations as
a kid, but I think when I was a kid,
I was so ealy impressed by everything, and those are
just road trip vacations to see family, but they were
(21:05):
magical at the time. I think my best vacation was
my most recent trip to Cancun because Mario had never been,
and I knew the magic of white sand and warm
o bath.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
Water, cool days, unlimited.
Speaker 5 (21:19):
All these Mexicans had been. He'd been to Cabo uh
and then very different. So taking him to Cancun and
kind of knowing, you know, like if you've seen a
good movie and you show somebody that movie and you
know they're gonna love it. It's kind of you kind
of enjoy watching them enjoy it. And he loved the
sand and the water. We did that excursion to Isla
(21:40):
Mujeres on the It's like riding a boat across bathwater.
Like you've said, can you say it's so authentically it's
so cool.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (21:47):
It was just relaxing day, drinking lots of food. We
had the room on the top floor overlooking the ocean.
It was just heaven. Hell yeah, the only thing that
above me so much. This is right around the time
where I would say there were five different couples at
the resort, where it was the guy spending his entire
(22:08):
day taking pictures of the girl.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
Did you see that everywhere? I got news for you.
I know this is not really like the kind of
place you expect to see it, but it's everywhere. Now
I've seen it on this ship. It's it's everywhere. It
is everywhere. Can you feel bad for the guy because
you're like, yeah, because it is what you're doing. It's
all cute stuff, Like everything's got to be a photo shoot,
Like why don't you just enjoy literally everything? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (22:33):
And I do feel bad for the guy because this
dude was being dragged around and Okay, now I'm gonna
lie on the diving board on this rock.
Speaker 3 (22:40):
Yeah, especially and especially now it's like you take the
instant so you can see it immediately, no getting it
developed right, Oh yeah, so you just take the picture
and then they got to look at it and they
go okay, no they did again.
Speaker 7 (22:50):
They did it again.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
Yeah, let me take it nobody and again, and then
they do it now. If change and go to a location, yeah,
Gina grad best vacation ever.
Speaker 8 (22:58):
Well, I was going to say Costa Rica. That's the
first and only time I ever zipline through a rainforest.
But then I also got a monkey tail in my
mouth and thought I got a disease, So that one's out. Yeah,
because it used my like it hooked its tail into
my mouth to stabilize itself, and I really thought I
had like a horrible disap So it has to be
(23:18):
the Cook Islands. I went with my girlfriends to this
little island called Raa Tonga in the middle of the
Pacific Ocean, like near like maybe a Popua, New Guineash,
American Samoa Ish. It was incredible. It's kind of like
we're new Zealanders. It's like they're Hawaii. So a lot
of New Zealand vacationers, U Surpie amazing, a lot of
(23:42):
rugby hot rugby players. Oh oh. We all got to
pick the thing we wanted to do the most. Because
I was there with a bunch of girls. I picked
the jail. So we all went to the island jail
and it was of course, it did awesome. There were
like just a handful of dudes there and they're making
ukuleles for the tourists. And I go, where are all.
Speaker 7 (24:01):
The other inmates and the guy said, they're.
Speaker 8 (24:04):
Home eating lunch, and they come back after lunch to
serve their time. It was phenomenal. I'd gladly go to
jail there and like you said, just laying on the
beach in the beautiful sand and hearing the water just
lap right up and go back. It was magical. It
was like fifteen hours. It was long, but it was
(24:26):
worth it. It was really awesome, all.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
Right, Sammy best vacation ever.
Speaker 6 (24:30):
Oh ever, I mean this was I had a very
great trip that was laying. But part of that trip,
I mean, the whole thing that we planned, we knew
we were doing sort of a once in a lifetime
that we were planning.
Speaker 8 (24:45):
That's the trip it is, but you I mean the
whole trip.
Speaker 6 (24:48):
I mean it started in Boston where I went to
a Patriots game at Gillette during the Dynasty, and that
was my first time getting to go to Gillette, so
I was very pumped about that. Then from there we
went to Iceland, where of course the northern lights.
Speaker 8 (25:02):
In the Jealous and thereaway was gorgeous.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
Now and again, just to refresh everybody's memory or for
people who are new to the show, when she says
we this is not her and a boyfriend. This is
her and a friend who is a boy Yeah, who
left his girlfriend at home? No wait wait wait who
left his girlfriend at home to go with her on
this trip where they're sleeping under the northern lights and
(25:26):
these bubble But.
Speaker 8 (25:27):
They had separate beds, right, Oh no they didn't.
Speaker 3 (25:30):
They just had the pillow in between them. Okay, when
she was apparently like the other girl was apparently cool.
Speaker 8 (25:36):
With this, the best girl.
Speaker 6 (25:37):
We planted the trip when they were not together.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
I just wanted to reset the table ahead the other things.
Speaker 6 (25:42):
We did, Okay, like when we were icaling with snorkeled
between the tectonic plates.
Speaker 8 (25:46):
We went to the.
Speaker 6 (25:46):
Black Sand Beaches. All I love the Black Sand Beach.
And we went to Blue Lagoon which was really cool.
And then from there we went to Amsterdam. We had
like a twenty four hour lay over there and we
took a uh like cruise kind of thing through the canal,
which was really cool.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
You would think a girl ended like pregnant seven times
with the things that they're like they're doing, like because
all we snarkled through the tectonic plates and then we
slept like you think, like, oh, yeah, somebody's definitely coming
home brag. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (26:14):
No, and uh we went to the Heineken Brewery and
then also the Red Light District had to see that.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
Yeah. Then uh.
Speaker 6 (26:22):
Then from there we went to Ireland and we went
to We made whiskey at the Jamison Distillery in Dublin.
That was really cool, and then we made our way
over to the other side of Ireland. We stopped and
did the Larney Stone. I kissed the Blodie kissed the
actual Blarney state.
Speaker 8 (26:38):
I know they pee on it. Whatever. I kissed the
barney stone upside down or something.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
Yeah, you late, yeah, you go upside on.
Speaker 6 (26:43):
People are holding you on the helping you see, you
don't fall, but yeah, and you kind of hold onto
these bars. That was really cool. And then went to
like a small coastal town called.
Speaker 8 (26:51):
Dingle that was a lot of fun.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
And then we went to good Berries. Yeah right, those
Dingle berries, Yes, so good.
Speaker 6 (26:58):
And then we went to the Dare Manner, which was gorgeous.
It's this huge castle in Ireland. Oh my god, the
best hotel I've ever stayed ever. The grounds are gorgeous.
And when we were there, we did skeet shooting and
falconry and it was so much fun.
Speaker 7 (27:16):
She's basically her honeymoon.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
He did.
Speaker 6 (27:21):
We had a lot of fun, and then he helped
planet and then we also went to the Cliffs of More,
which was very cloudy, very windy, but oh my god,
that whole tr I mean that was probably two weeks
ish we.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
Had so we had to shower at the same time.
But it wasn't weird at all.
Speaker 7 (27:37):
We're environmental.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
Yeah, we did bucket shower.
Speaker 8 (27:41):
We're green under a waterfall, friends.
Speaker 6 (27:45):
But we had a great time.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
Mena's best vacation ever.
Speaker 4 (27:49):
Well, at the end of every year, I like to
do a thing I called three first, so we kind
of get like three weeks. Also, I'll do like three
different vacations and within three weeks. So one of them
was going to Japan and then going to Europe and
then back to Hawaii and then wrapping up in Vegas.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
That's usually like what I would like to do, all one,
all one vacation, all one vacation.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
But there was this one vacation where I flew straight
to Hong Kong and then I got on well, I
went to Hong Kong Disney, and then I got on
a cruise where I went to Japan and the Philippines
and then back to Hong Kong and then went over
to Macau, which is basically there, basically their Las Vegas.
(28:33):
It's Lost Vegas times ten. Wow, massive casinos, massive buildings.
Then I flew from a cow to Shanghai and went
to Shanghai Disney, and then after that I flew back
to Hawaii, hung out with Hawaii for a little bit,
and then wrapped up in Vegas again.
Speaker 3 (28:50):
Wow. So much fun, so much fun. But I mean,
and you're not exhausted by the end of all that.
Austin never homesick. Hell and the homesick no like not
the homesick, but just like, well you're on the go constause,
like here's the thing in your day day life when
you're working, Like when you're at work and you have
your normal I call it the tread when you're on
(29:10):
the treadmill all your life and you're doing all your
normal stuff with work, and then you go on a
vacation and even though the what you're doing you're choosing
to do, but still it's like that treadmill, Like there's
no downtime physically, there's not a lot of downtime just.
Speaker 4 (29:22):
To like, no, no, I'm not like over exerting myself
at An'll know, I'm just kind of like walking around
checking out cool stuff. But there was a place that
I just went recently, and I think, Greg, you're gonna
you're gonna have to go at least once in your lifetime.
One Barcelona, Spain. I want to go to Italy, And
I know you had.
Speaker 8 (29:39):
That Italy like six.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
Years ago, and I mean you can Italy, you can
skip France.
Speaker 4 (29:46):
I have no intention, but I know you live Wait, no,
you lived in London right in Cambridge, Cambridge, but yeah, France.
Speaker 3 (29:57):
I mean in London that was for school. Though, right,
it was, but it was was like yeah for like
four months.
Speaker 4 (30:01):
But anybody that's a free of international travel, just go
to London is a good starter place.
Speaker 7 (30:05):
Yeah, freaking language.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
Yeah, it's really easy to get around. Yeah. Yeah. The
best vacation ever. Well, I mean there's one as an adult,
but one is a kid and the one that sticks
out from being a kid number one going to Disney
for the first time for sure, because we only went
on We went once when we were a kid. Yeah,
I was eight years old, my youngest, the lesbian sister
was four, and then the breeder was five, right, so
all little kids and that that was so cool And
(30:28):
that was what really made me fall in love with
Disney because I always had to say, like, I'm gonna
go back there again. I'm gonna go back there again.
But wait, I didn't come from a family that had,
you know, money. Yeah, Like that was the one trip
that we did. But for my grandparents' fiftieth anniversary, they
bought all the grandkids tickets on a cruise. Oh right,
(30:48):
and so it was with all like the cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, parents,
is like, but they didn't pay for everybody. The parents
had to pay their own way, right, It was just
the grandkid who got the tip. We got it for
Christmas from our grandparents their fiftieth wedding anniversary. And so
this is the first time that any of us really
(31:08):
had a sense of any kind of independence or real
true freedom because like you look around here at mean,
look all these kids that are like running around doing
their thing. You know, the parents don't have to be
with them. Twenty four sevens. We're going to go.
Speaker 8 (31:20):
Yeah, they're always find a ball.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
Right, they're finda bowl. You set some rules, Hey, meet
me back here in an hour and a half. You
need to check back in with me. And that's what
we did. Yeah, and it was great. It was the
best vacation. We went to Bermuda on that one nice.
This is ninety two, okay, so I was a freshman
in high school. It was awesome and that was like
(31:44):
by far the best. Now as an adult, best vacation
to this point is still the yearly vacation that my
wife and I go to that place in Mexico.
Speaker 7 (31:53):
Times have you been there?
Speaker 3 (31:54):
So this year will be fifteen ye, same place. I
get it.
Speaker 6 (32:01):
Wow, I don't I don't get that.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
I can't want to.
Speaker 7 (32:05):
Experience something new.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
No, no, No, here's the thing. I'm not looking for experiences.
I'm not. But I unlike Menace, I'm the polar opposite
of that. So like and the good thing is you
have to have a vacation style that matches with the
person you're vacationing with. Right, So, when I have a
week off from this schedule where no mean not the
one that we're on right now, and to being on
a cruise, I'd say, like typically right now, when we're
we're on the trail back at home and I'm waking
(32:28):
up at one o'clock in the morning and I'm coming
in and I'm doing the show and we got kids,
activities all you I want to take that week off
knowing that they're no surprises.
Speaker 7 (32:36):
Yeah, I get that.
Speaker 3 (32:36):
I'm going to a place where it's a beach. It's
always one of the top five beach that I go to.
This place called Secrets Maroma Beach. It's in Riviera Maya
on the Cancun side of Mexico. Look it up. It's gorgeous.
Everything you see online is exactly how it is. Five star,
all inclusive, no kids at the resort at all. You
got to be at least eighteen to even be there.
All the food, all the drinks, it's priced out so
(32:58):
that the eighteen year olds can't go. Yeah, I mean,
so it's that spring breaker kind of place.
Speaker 8 (33:02):
Or anything like that.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
And so it's a beautiful beach. The water is like great,
crystal clear white sand. Service is awesome, food is great,
and I just get the chill and my wife and
I get to hang out and connect for a whole week.
That's amazing, And it's just complete downtime serenity. That's what
I'm looking for.
Speaker 8 (33:23):
You could probably walk around that place with a blindfold on.
Get where you're going.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
I don't need experiences. I don't want experience. I have
experiences the other fifty one weeks a year exactly with
this job, the different things that we do like this,
look what we're doing right now. True, right, Yeah, I
get experiences. I don't need it for that week. That
week is not for them. But as an adult, that's
my oa though.
Speaker 4 (33:45):
Did you think it was kind of cool though because
you had that experience as a kid with you know,
taking your family going on a cruise, and then you
were able to do that for your family. Yeah, like
later on because you've gone on cruises where you've had
your extended family family.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
Yeah, we bring them. So we're going on another trip
over Thanksgiving this year and we'll bring us out at
the grandparents and yeah, yeah, so, I mean that must
feel really cool to do, right, That's cool and also
gives us a break.
Speaker 8 (34:11):
The best part thrown at it.
Speaker 3 (34:13):
You get to spend some time with the with your
parents that you don't get to see all the time
as we all live close to each other. And yeah,
that's cool. Then you dip eight seven seven forty four
Woody send us a text over to two two nine
eighty seven more Woody Show on board the Disney Wonder
on our way to Alaska. Oh yeah, coming up next
year on the Woody Show. Show will be right.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Back this.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
Way outside.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
Show.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
Well, hey, maybe this will end up being what you
will share at some point. Like, man, the greatest vacation
I ever went on was I won this cruise. Yeah,
I know, I won a Disney cruise to Alaska from
this show. What was it called again? It was like
the Wat Show. That's right. Yeah, Now you can win
a seven night Disney Alaskan cruise for four from the
(35:06):
Woody Show. And we had that keyword. The keyword is whale.
W h A l E. That's today's word. So anytime
between now midnight tonight, you just want to go to
our website, which is the woodieshow dot com enter the
keyword whale for your chance to win. Yeah, I mean,
do we have Will watching on the agenda?
Speaker 8 (35:26):
We do?
Speaker 1 (35:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (35:27):
Yeah, okay, because I know some of us are doing
a couple of different things. We're not doing everything together
some of the because I know I'm doing a seaplane excursion.
Speaker 8 (35:35):
Greg's out on that one.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
I'm not sure. Yeah, I figure yeah, yeah, yeah, I
don't know what day that is. I know, because we're
at C today on vacation time.
Speaker 8 (35:45):
We don't know what's fine.
Speaker 3 (35:45):
On Friday, we're watching Friday's well watching all right, Yeah,
so yeah today is at C day uh and then
tomorrow's Glacier viewing, and then we got Skagway on Thursday,
Juno on Friday and let me look ahead on the schedule.
I don't even know how to say this. It's a
cat catch.
Speaker 8 (36:04):
You can on Saturday, will there be time to just
like park at like some random picnic bench and just
eat our weight and crab legs.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
Oh I already have that planned. Yes, I would like
to go. Yeah, there's a place called Tracy.
Speaker 7 (36:16):
Yes, and you know that's exactly what I mean.
Speaker 4 (36:18):
The crab legs are as big as my forearm.
Speaker 8 (36:20):
I would like to accompany.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:22):
Wait, so how are you going to do that minute?
Because I see we have an excursion Alaska Island, well
quested ORCA point. It's five hours and thirty minutes excursion. Yeah,
but the the back on the ship time is not
until way late for forty five.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
Oh no.
Speaker 3 (36:40):
Really yeah that can't be right. I'm looking at right here,
guest aboard for forty five.
Speaker 8 (36:45):
We'll have to take them to go, you know.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
Yeah, I'm saying like you say, you might have to
scarf a bit.
Speaker 6 (36:50):
Yeah, well guess the short six forty five am, so
maybe you can get some crap.
Speaker 3 (36:54):
I'm not about that. I'm going to breakfast, all right.
So hey, you know what I did have like a
uh crab Benedict like eggs Benedict crab like the crab,
and then the what is it the holidays?
Speaker 2 (37:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (37:10):
Oh yeah, so good? All right? To win your Disney
Alaskan cruise, just take that keyword whale w h a
L E show and a hoy mate, I said on
the High Seas we are on the Disney Wonder on
(37:35):
our way to Alaska. This is a an at at
C day. So then yeah, tomorrow we should be arriving
and we're gonna be doing some some glacier viewing which
is gonna be cool, and then Skagway on Thursday, Juno
on Friday, it's a Disney Alaska cruise that we are on,
(37:59):
and we've got the Alaska Cruise that you can win
a seven night Disney Alaskan cruise for you and three
other people. And the keyword just like we've been doing
last weekend now this week whale. W h A l
E whale is uh what you want to go to
our website with. Just go to the woodieshow dot com
and uh use that keyword whale and you could be
(38:21):
winning the three hundred dollars Disney gift card and then
get qualified to be Today's Grand Prize drawing entrant.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
Sweet yeah, so uh yeah, so we have we have that,
but uh, this is awesome because my wife and I
usually only get the one vacation every year that we
do without the kids. Yeah yeah, Gina stepson.
Speaker 8 (38:42):
Is is here, yeah, which I'm actually stoked about.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
Yeah, Menace has a dumbass tyler. Yeah yeah, but uh yeah,
so yeah, we're on board. Yesterday is when we got
on board. We boarded the boat in Vancouver, and so
we left yesterday afternoon and Vancouver's nice. Yeah I did.
I gotta tell you, man, my favorite days on cruises
(39:07):
are the sea days.
Speaker 7 (39:08):
Oh yeah, they're chills, chill, see everything on the boat.
Speaker 3 (39:12):
You got nowhere to be, especially early than the cruise
like we are now like you can discover and just
go around and just check different things out. If you've
never been on a on a Disney cruise, they have these,
you know, adults only areas, so adult only pool, an
adult only kind of like lounges or bars of course,
but I mean, you know Palo which is a great
(39:33):
restaurant that's not part of like the regular dining that
you get when you go on the cruise. It's a
separate thing. But if you're going on a Disney cruise,
we recommend the we recommend that you do that. But yeah,
so then you know tomorrow's the Glacier viewing, so excited. Yeah,
and then uh and then we got an excursion on Thursday.
It's gonna be the White Pass Scenic Railway. Yes, it's
(39:55):
it's supposed to be.
Speaker 5 (39:56):
Great, great things about it. I've spoken to people have
done it. I said, it's incredible.
Speaker 3 (40:01):
Yeah, yeah, I'll be honest, I haven't. I haven't looked
much into it. Yeah, I'm gonna be completely surprised.
Speaker 6 (40:08):
Scenery.
Speaker 7 (40:08):
Well, Greg, I haven't looked into anything either, right, Oh,
not at all.
Speaker 5 (40:12):
You haven't gotten everything down to the last I think,
where do we put our pens? I want to look
forward to driving the Disney people crazy?
Speaker 3 (40:22):
Well, we got Tim Martinez here. He's the only you
can follow along our Alaskan adventure on our social media.
At the Woody Show, you can I look for us there.
I know we're all missing Sea Bass. That's been the
roughest part because it's it's myself, it's Gina, Greg Menace
and Sammy. Yeah, and floating around everybody not floating.
Speaker 4 (40:45):
Well, I mean he's on this, not in the water,
but I mean not seeing Sea Bass's face on daily
basis is pretty crushing.
Speaker 3 (40:55):
Yeah. Well, let's let's be honest. I mean, the cruise
could be his thing, but like a Disney cruise would
not be his thing.
Speaker 7 (41:00):
Yeah, it's a no win situation all around.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
Was sticking a cruise with us just probably wouldn't be
a thing. But you want to, yeah, follow along on
social media. We've got the phones open eight seven seven
forty four. Woody. Uh those are those are rough. The
phones are not not the easiest thing to do, uh
while we're doing the broadcast here, but we can we
can get the text. You can send your text over
to two to nine eight seven. We're gonna take a
(41:26):
quick break and then we'll get into some of the
news stuff, or at least some stuff that people are
talking about that's coming up next. See people talk about
getting back on land and having your sea legs. I'm
trying to get my sea fins. I'm trying to get
my I'm trying to get my sea legs. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So,
I mean this is our first show aboard the Disney
(41:49):
Wonder as we've been talking about here on a Disney
Alaska crew. This is only my second cruise in my life.
Speaker 5 (41:57):
Second cruise ever, and I love them. Yeah uh okay,
So something about a state room that's just fun, you
know what I mean. And you just have that constant view.
Speaker 3 (42:08):
Let me ask you a question, Greg, How's how's the
pooing situation? Because Greg? Greg, and Greg's here with Mario
partner Mario, which we don't really get to hang with
Mario all that much.
Speaker 7 (42:18):
I've only met him once.
Speaker 3 (42:19):
Here's what's kind of cool. You know Gina's husband Andy,
you know, with the we got the kid with the
with the thing. He's here and and of course your
steps on but like your wife, my wife, Mario's here,
MENACE's wife, Nacho's here, and so very rarely do we,
I mean, every once in a while have an event
(42:40):
where everybody gets to hang around, right, it's usually something around.
But yeah, it's cool. Got my friends Jim and Brian. Yeah,
so that was that was That was the one thing
that Greg was wondering about was like, how's that going
to work? Because, as you know, Greg can't use a
public restroom, which also means even though there's a ton
of restrooms on the ship.
Speaker 7 (42:59):
That's the room bathroom is his home base.
Speaker 5 (43:01):
Yeah, exactly, Yeah, but then what if you stink the
place up? Like what if you wreck the place? Brian
brought the pooperri good does work? I haven't even yet.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
It does.
Speaker 6 (43:13):
You can confirm it does, but you're the problem with
it is that you have to remember to spray it
before you go, and a lot of just like you
go to the bathroom and.
Speaker 3 (43:23):
You're like, oh no, so here's I've never used it.
I wasn't sure if it even worked, but like, so
correct me if I'm wrong. This is how. This is
the science behind it. So no, you spray it onto
the surface of the water. What it does it creates
a barrier, right, so like when so when you when
when you when you when you drop your delivery through
it and then reseals over the top of this so
(43:44):
the odor can't escape it. It's pretty theoretically that's how
it's supposed to work. When you say it actually.
Speaker 6 (43:48):
Works, it does work.
Speaker 3 (43:49):
I can't confirm only one of the four of us
in our room is not opposed to going out and
using one of the other many.
Speaker 8 (43:57):
Many many I'd be the first, like I gotta go
see you guys later.
Speaker 3 (44:00):
I would. I wouldn't dream of that. Jenna and I
have done that. Like where we're at the you know,
staying at a hotel and like someone's really got to
go and it's like one of those rooms are not
super big and whatever. So it's like, man, she'll go
I'm gonna go down the lobby. Yeah, or I'll go
down the lobby. I don't believe Yeah, no, no problem, right,
I just need to wear a mask or something, yes,
(44:20):
so nobody can recognize you. I just wouldn't want to
be seen afterwards. I mean, how awkward if you walk
out and all of a sudden Daisy walks by. I know,
you know, Daisy knows what you just down. So we're
on the Woody Show. It's a seven night Disney Alaskan cruise.
You can follow along on our social media at the
Woody Show. The keyword today to win your very own
Disney cruise whale w h A l E. Anytime between
(44:43):
now and midnight. You just want to go to the
Woodies Show dot com and enter the keyword whale. Uh.
There's a couple of things that wanted to bring up.
Oh we have what's also kind of nice about what
you said that this is your second cruise ever, that's
what we remind me. Okay, now see now the sea legs.
I did have sea legs after my first one. It's
(45:05):
a it's all coming back. What's nice about the cruise.
Is what I love about the sea day like today
is a seat at sea day? Is that Like it's
a good disconnect opportunity because you're not running around, there's
no excursion. There's of course, there's a ton of activities
that are on the on the ship here today they
have a movie theater. Non did you go up to
the ice cream station yet? Greg? Not yet? That will
(45:27):
be my end of week. Right right up next to
the pool, there's a you can just go up there
and it's soft served ice cream. It's dangerous. Our friend
Tyler's definitely taken advantage. But if you're thinking about, you know,
needing the detox from digital like digital social media all
(45:48):
at once. Yeah, people are so fried from screen time.
The digital detox retreats are now becoming a thing, like
people will go to these places. So maybe not a cruise,
they're just digital detoxers. And yeah, yeah, exactly seventeen percent
are actively looking for places to go on vacation that
force them to unplug. And then these retreats go totally
(46:11):
old school. There's no TVs, there's no phones. Sometimes they
even lock up your devices at check in nice and
so all you've got are board games, nature and awkward sciences.
Speaker 5 (46:22):
Okay, so I'm picturing the woods like it in the
woods where you have no signal, no Wi Fi.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
So you have no choice but to which sounds awful
for me. For you, it sounds awful.
Speaker 8 (46:33):
But once you get over that initial hump, you probably
just feel so free.
Speaker 3 (46:36):
Yeah, okay, so this is what they say. They said
most guests they have a panic at first. Yeah, like
phantom phone buzzes and everything, weirdest phenomenon, but they're they're
chilled out after about forty eight hours.
Speaker 5 (46:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (46:48):
I would love to do that. Yeah, to be forced
to do it.
Speaker 3 (46:50):
Yeah. Now this this trip's a little bit different. I've
gotten really good. I used to be really terrible on
vacations with the constant emailing and the texting and the
things like that. But like on on this one's a
little bit different because we are working exactly. I mean
here we are. Yeah, yeah, we're still doing the show.
Speaker 8 (47:06):
We're not we're not laying under the soft serve machine.
Speaker 3 (47:09):
Should Greg and longevity researcher claims that popcorn can help
you live to one hundred really air pop popcorn is
loaded with fiber, complex carbs and even more antioxidants than
some vegetables. You can lower your risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes,
colling cancer, and even dementia. Damn plus. As long as
(47:30):
you skip the butter, it helps you stay full without
blowing up your diet doing that. Just to make some
at home and put garlic salt on it. Oh yeah,
you know what's good is uh? You know when I
was really watching what I was eating, and I was
having like a lot of like chicken and steam vegetables
and stuff, you never see the butter buds that I can't.
(47:55):
It's so good and it tastes like you have it
soaked in butter. What is it you get? But you
get it in the spice Island where you get like
garlic powder and salt, and at the grocery store. Mollymy butter.
It's a little still make it. It's a little blue
like shaker things healthy. There's no calories. It's called better
than butter. Okay, yeah, Molly mac butter. And you can
(48:18):
just sprinkle it on your veggies or pasta.
Speaker 8 (48:20):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (48:20):
Oh man, we grew up on Yeah you've never heard
of it, menace, But on the on the popcorn thing,
you have no fancy air fryer. Need to just toss
the kernels in a brown paper bag and any microwave.
That's a great idea. And also, I know a lot
of people do this. I can't stand the smell, so
I'm not on board. But people use nutritional yeast like, oh,
it tastes cheesy and buttery, but it's not.
Speaker 8 (48:40):
It's nutritional yeast yeast.
Speaker 3 (48:42):
I don't know what that is either.
Speaker 7 (48:44):
Yeah, oh, look it up, smell it.
Speaker 5 (48:46):
Remember Molly mac Butter had the laziest jingle of all time.
It was just Molly Make Butter, Molly Make Butter.
Speaker 8 (48:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (48:55):
How long has it been around?
Speaker 8 (48:56):
Oh god, at least forty years, maybe fifty years.
Speaker 3 (49:01):
There was a radio station in Australia c a DA
just caught using an AI host for the past six
months without telling anybody, And wow, guess what, no one noticed.
The quote DJ, who they called Thigh sounded real, I mean,
hyping up four hours of music every weekday. The station's
program director was bragging about it in a now deleted
(49:21):
LinkedIn post, and the truth came out when a local
reporter got curious ran recordings of the DJ through AI
for a voice analysis. And that's how they got busted.
The station is getting roasted by listeners. The station released
a statement apologizing for misleading listeners, saying they were just
exploring new technology.
Speaker 4 (49:41):
Why I mean, why would people get all but heart
about that? I mean, Spotify has their AIDJS. I mean
they're completely open about it.
Speaker 3 (49:49):
So that's different because they're open about it. Yeah, but
if it took six months to figure out and you
thought it was a real person, yeah, but I mean
I could see where you would feel misled, like betrayed.
A real person is not a real I don't care
if it's not a real person. But tell me if
it's not a real person, like we are real people. Yeah,
like here punch uh yeah, violence, no violence on the cruise,
(50:15):
no violence. But I don't care about that.
Speaker 4 (50:18):
Is I mean, was it introduced as like, oh, this
is our new DJ, and like yeah, I kind of
introduced it as a real person.
Speaker 5 (50:24):
Then I see, Well they don't disclose that when you
make a phone call. Because I'm convinced I spoke to
a robot when I called a mortuary.
Speaker 8 (50:29):
Which is the worst place to talk to a robot.
Speaker 3 (50:31):
It like a ten minute conversation. Yeah, I'm telling you,
I love I'm loving the AI stuff for so many things,
Like it's greg I'm telling you that I even have
it download, download, just something easy like chat GPT onto
your phone. I have it on my computer, but down phone,
(50:52):
download the app onto your phone. I find myself as
one that you're talking to, right, Yeah, what you can do?
You can type or you can talk either way, just
like you're sending a text message. How are you to
put the text in there? But I'm telling you, man,
it's it's really interesting. I got my mom into it
because she's been going through all that medical stuff and
you get these reports and you get things that are
(51:12):
written in a way that a doctor would understand it,
but like how do you break it down? So this
is the most basic use of it I ever Right,
this is where most people are, if anywhere they are.
Some people have just said, like you know what I'm
It reminds me of the older people back like when
the Apple two E came out in the eighties, Like,
I'm not using computers.
Speaker 4 (51:30):
It's like taxi drivers that were fighting uber and sing
the technologists here.
Speaker 3 (51:36):
But here's the thing, even the most basic level you guys, like,
now here's what you got to be careful of This
is what I told my mom. When you have a
document from your doctor, your test results, make sure you've
edit it, You've cropped it so that your information, your name,
all that stuff is out of there. Because you are
you are feeding AI. You're feeding information to the AI.
But you can get, like your report back from a doctor,
(51:58):
you can say, break this down from me, and it'll
break it down, even if it's something you all right,
I still needed to be a little bit more simple
than that, like h and it'll it'll break it down
even further. Here's Greg. I'm telling you this. Greg's ended
up being like that movie Her. Yes, Greg's gonna fall
in love. I can really see you as much because
you sometimes need super simple things explained, especially when it
(52:21):
comes to technology or how do I do this or whatever.
You can say, all right, what is whatever is? What
is wi fi?
Speaker 7 (52:30):
To step by step strong, show me.
Speaker 3 (52:31):
An example, show me a picture of that process, or
show me a video of like it's it's really cool. Yeah,
it's really cool. So I don't need it for And
I saw, like we're talking about this AI uh DJ
at this radio station in Australia just tuning in and
the listeners got pissed because they weren't told about it.
I think it's interesting, but what I don't want and
(52:52):
what I'm not interested in. There's some app and rich
on Tech had mentioned it on his Instagram page. There's
an app where you could take any article or anything
that you read and it'll turn it into a podcast.
Yeah it's not. It sounds terrible, does I'm not. I'm
not messed around it yet.
Speaker 5 (53:13):
Yeah, it's it's not good. So it takes the content
and turns it into the audio form. But it doesn't
just read the article. It actually makes it like a
correct like a conversation about that article.
Speaker 8 (53:22):
It's like production value.
Speaker 3 (53:23):
That's weird. Yeah, it's there yet, it's not there. It
will be though.
Speaker 7 (53:27):
It got me through my statistics class.
Speaker 3 (53:29):
My thing, though, is the fase.
Speaker 4 (53:32):
This is why I think there should be age limit
on social media, you know, because my parents are getting
fooled by AI stuff on Facebook.
Speaker 3 (53:41):
And I go, it's hard enough to be able to tell. Yeah,
it's hard not to tell. I mean yeah, and I'm like,
you know what, social media is just not for you anymore?
Speaker 8 (53:49):
You know, should be an age limit at the top
of your life.
Speaker 3 (53:52):
Yeah, it's forgive.
Speaker 4 (53:53):
Yeah age limit, Like hey, you know what, just like
we're going to take your license away social media. We're
going to take it because you're just being fooled by
certain things and yeah, and it's putting you in a tizzy.
Or there was just like so much like fake video
of when the fires were happening in Los Angeles. Oh
my god, there was like fake videos of the Hollywood
Sign on fire and people thought it was real.
Speaker 3 (54:15):
Like, well, it's gotten so good. Yeah, a lot of
it looks so real. But I mean to take two
seconds to like search around some news and you would
know it's not real. But I'm I'm on my way
to like somewhat of her relationship. Yeah, I'm sitting there
on the couch and I'm thinking about something or watching something.
I go hey, yeah, and I'll fall tell me more
(54:36):
about this, and it tells me how to go, Oh,
do you think I'm overreacting if I think that X
y Z, And I'll go, uh, mostly because it just
looks at it from an analytical standpoint, and it'll tell
you kind of like, okay, well, based on that, yeah,
you're being a little paranoid because here are the facts.
Speaker 8 (54:52):
So it's actually keeping you grounded well in a way.
Speaker 3 (54:55):
Also, have you named her yet?
Speaker 4 (54:56):
What's but Daphne. It's funny you bring that because Gary Vee,
who we really like. Yeah, he was just doing an
interview and he says that he believes that your grandchildren,
one of them will marry an AI robot. That's the
that's the future.
Speaker 3 (55:14):
Great. I'll be dead by them for sure, that's the
that's the that's the great part about not having your
kids until you're in your thirties, Like, I won't be
around for the.
Speaker 4 (55:24):
Grandkid marrying the kid marry somebody. I'm marrying the AI chatbot.
We're talking about full robot. Oh I understand, we.
Speaker 8 (55:36):
Saw thatway there.
Speaker 3 (55:38):
Yeah, that's the true. Yeah. Well, whoever marry SeaBASS eventually
will be married to a robot. All right. Well, we're
on board the Disney Wonder and there's so much to
talk about with this this ship. It's it's not one
of their newer ships, right, but they do such a
great job of maintaining and updating, and they're constantly refurbishing
and remodeling and all these and by the way, even
(55:58):
if you're not on this one, looking into a Disney cruise.
Maybe Alaska is not your thing. They offer so many
different destinations and got their own private island. If you're
leaving out of Florida. It's like in the Bahamas, you know,
it's it's it's awesome.
Speaker 1 (56:11):
Man.
Speaker 3 (56:11):
There's so many different things.
Speaker 4 (56:12):
They also have on that island. The adult side only
island part of the island too. So if you're like,
I'm not traveling kids, you can do that. I went
on the Disney Fantasy Ship.
Speaker 3 (56:23):
As I went on that one. Yeah, that one's awesome.
It's super nice. Well, get some more information about these
Disney cruises. In fact, you can sign up to win
your very own seven night Disney Alaskan cruise. Today's keyword
is wal w h A L E. Just go to
the Woodieshow dot com and sign up to win right now,
and of course, get all the information online by checking
(56:44):
out the Disney Cruise Line website. Yep, we're gonna take
a quick break more from The Woody Show on our
way to Alaska on a Disney cruise. It is the
Woody Show.
Speaker 2 (56:59):
Show.
Speaker 3 (57:01):
You inquire its life for me? Yeah, yeah, dude, my
go to breakfast on all these cruise ships.
Speaker 2 (57:13):
Yeah, I like to go.
Speaker 3 (57:15):
I don't do this sit down breakfast deal. I like
the buffette. I like to go to the buffette because
you can get eggs anyway you want.
Speaker 8 (57:24):
So I go.
Speaker 3 (57:25):
I do four eggs over medium, four eggs over medium,
and then I get some yogurt and I put some
granola on that, some fresh berries. Dude, it's so good.
Yeah yeah, so, uh that's a I've already nailed that
this morning.
Speaker 8 (57:44):
You're not going to starve on the Disney Wonder.
Speaker 3 (57:46):
No, no, no, there's there's food all over the place. Yeah,
we're on the Disney Wonder. Today is a CE day.
So we are on our way because tomorrow we've got
some glacier viewing that we're doing. Yeah, and then uh,
we're gonna be as Skagway. So that's on Thursday Friday.
We're going to be and Juno and then you know,
back at home base next week. Yep, we're not we're
(58:07):
not thinking about that. Yeah, no, no rush all right,
So we got text. Text seems to be the best
way to do this. Send us a text over to
two to nine to eighty seven. Follow along on social
media at the Woody Show. Yeah, like a food mint
food on these on these cruises are insane. The food,
(58:28):
I think the food is really good. I love it,
you know, because you do have a bunch of different
options you can you can go with like the sit
down restaurant kind of stuff like I mentioned, or Apollo,
which is on this particular Disney ship. They have them
on a lot of their Disney.
Speaker 7 (58:41):
Ships and it's like Italian inspired, right uh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (58:44):
Yeah, but it's like a separate charge restaurant, right, So
you do that kind of like a like a menace
of the one that first told me about that. And
so the first Disney cruse that we went, first time
I ever tried caviar. So good changed your life, did Yeah?
But anyway, so if you want to along, you can
find us on social media at the Woody Show. Dude,
(59:05):
I see people and it's not just on this, but
it's it's on any place I've been. We go to
Mexico with my wife, or we go on one of
these cruises. The people that go on these things and
work out why why do they even put a gym
on a cruise ship? Yeah, you're you're you're taking away
from my enjoyment. I don't want to see people working
I should feel guilty, right. I know my wife was
(59:28):
like that for for a while, Like when we go
to Mexico, she would bring her workout stuff and I'd
sleep in.
Speaker 8 (59:35):
But I mean, I do like a nice cruise track
at the top, just to walk around for fun. But
I'm not trying to pump iron.
Speaker 3 (59:40):
But that's the thing that you're doing. You're doing enough
walking as it is.
Speaker 7 (59:43):
Yeah, but just to get a different, you know, bird's
eye view of the ship.
Speaker 5 (59:46):
But please enough with the window. All it does is
make me feel like, yeah, exactly, we don't need that.
Speaker 3 (59:54):
Yeah, Greg, you're gonna be doing any spa treatments while
you're on board, you know what? Probably not.
Speaker 5 (01:00:01):
I'm focused on our excursions in the food. I am
like yoloing with the food situation.
Speaker 3 (01:00:07):
But we do have okay, so I love the Pinocchio's
Pizza Rea. By the way, today is a Today's a
sea day, right, and then we have a day seven,
which is going to be this Sunday. That's a sea day.
So you do it on one of those days.
Speaker 5 (01:00:19):
That's excursions. On those I could have my friends go
to the spot, they would like that, and then stop
by Daisy's Delight Greg, Daisy's delight.
Speaker 3 (01:00:26):
I'll you gotta go there. There's all kinds of look,
it's day one. I don't know the lay. Yeah, because
we got on board. We got on board yesterday and
uh yeah, Dallas was fun. It's kind of a whirlwind, man,
because we we went. We went to Dallas and we
had an event there with our radio station, The Eagle.
They had a big rock show on Sunday, and so
(01:00:47):
we were at that and as soon as we were
done with all the official stuff that we had to
do there, straight to the airport. Yeah, we got we
all jumped into in a sprinter van. We went to
the airport, We hopped on a plane, We flew to Vancouver,
got on the well, yeah, got in late, so you know,
slept what everybody too excited to sleep because the next morning.
And what's cool is like when we got on the boat,
(01:01:08):
the hotel that we stayed at right there was right
across there, right across from the port.
Speaker 8 (01:01:15):
So perfect awesome.
Speaker 7 (01:01:16):
Does Dallas feel like two weeks ago?
Speaker 3 (01:01:19):
Just with all the all the crazyness last week feels
like it was two weeks Yeah, Like just getting to
the point where we were leaving to go to Dallas and.
Speaker 7 (01:01:28):
Then get here but a lifetime ago.
Speaker 3 (01:01:31):
Yeah, we're we're question for the text over to two
to ninety seven. What was the best vacation ever, like
from that you've ever taken. It doesn't have to do
some people don't go anywhere. It's just a staycation. They
find different things to be productive, not to work out necessarily,
but like they'll take a week off and they'll just
completely paint the house, get organized. Yeah, some kind of
(01:01:52):
big So it doesn't have to be where you went
somewhere like really crazy or like you got.
Speaker 8 (01:01:57):
A hotel downtown away from your house.
Speaker 3 (01:01:59):
Yeah, and everybody, And that's the thing. Everybody's definition of
vacation is different, right, you know some people really like
to just kind of sit and do nothing.
Speaker 5 (01:02:07):
I think if it's a vacation, if it's more than
just a weekend and you don't have to work, Yeah, yeah,
that's a vacation.
Speaker 3 (01:02:13):
Yeah. Well this is part work, part vacation. We're working
remotely this week. Canswer when we're on the Disney Wonder
on our way to Alaska. It's a seven night Disney
Alaskan cruise, which you could be doing exactly what we're
doing as all these things that we're talking about and
things that we're experiencing. These we're doing that White Pass
Scenic Railway excursion that's gonna be on Thursday. Is when
(01:02:37):
that's Yeah tomorrow, Yeah so excited. Yeah tomorrow's the Glacier viewing.
Oh yes, but yeah you can. You can win your
seven night Disney Alaskan cruise. Today's keyword whale.
Speaker 1 (01:02:45):
W h A l E.
Speaker 3 (01:02:47):
All you want to do is go to our website,
which is the woodieshow dot com. Enter the keyword whale,
and that's your chance to win a three hundred dollars
Disney gift card and possibly win a seven night Disney
Alaskan cruise of your own. And I'd be thinking about that.
Just text over to too ninety seven about your best
vacation ever by inspiring. All right, I gotta search my
memory day. See that's why I give it to you now,
(01:03:09):
because I got to think ranks. Takes a while to
fire up what vacation show? And we are into another
new hour in sensitivity trading for a politically correct world.
It is Tuesday morning, May twenty seventh, twenty twenty five.
(01:03:32):
So someone would call this like unofficial beginning of summer.
Sure are ye that Memorial Day is gone. Yeah, but
we're passing the world and we're on a trip. Yeah.
We are on board the Disney Wonder on our way
to Alaska, sailing through Alaska. Yeah, we boarded in Vancouver
(01:03:53):
yesterday and now we're on board today. A day at sea,
and we'll be doing the show here from the Disney
cruise ship today, Tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday.
Speaker 7 (01:04:04):
It's hard, but we're taking one for the team.
Speaker 3 (01:04:05):
Ye yeah, I know, I know, And we couldn't. We
couldn't bring everybody. I mean, obviously Disney gives us a
certain number of spots, so uh, you know, everybody else's
back at what you show headquarters making sure that this
is all happening and the connection, the connection holds up
and then we get on the air. But so shout
out to Bort and Menji and Morgan and Vaughan because
(01:04:30):
we have we have Sammy here with us, although I
don't know where she disappeared to mo, No, she took
out because Tim Martinez is here. So it's like Tim
and Sammy are kind of like boots on the ground producers,
and it's myself, there's Gina Greg We got Greg gored
Menace is here.
Speaker 2 (01:04:45):
Hi.
Speaker 3 (01:04:46):
We got some show food News coming up for you
to say hour food News. And then also coming up,
we're going to talk about that question that we have
out there. We're just floated it out there to everybody.
What's the best vacation you've ever been on? Like, what
was the best thing, whether it was you when you
were a kid or like once you grew up as
an adult. Choices. It's kind of the ongoing theme this week.
(01:05:08):
And as you know, now we're into summer or we're
getting closer to well's see what is Today? Is Tuesday?
I think tomorrow? It's either today or tomorrow. My kid's
last day. I don't know because I'm not there. Yeah, yeah,
we got we got some grandparents. My my stepmother and
then her sister are staying. So you you brought a
bad parent?
Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
I know?
Speaker 3 (01:05:29):
Yeah? So did he?
Speaker 1 (01:05:30):
Did he?
Speaker 8 (01:05:30):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:05:31):
You got taken out of school?
Speaker 8 (01:05:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:05:33):
Sweet? And when and when is school over? How much
school is he missing this week? So he's okay? So
this is officially his okay celebration. I was like, you
know what, who cares about?
Speaker 1 (01:05:44):
What?
Speaker 3 (01:05:44):
Miss?
Speaker 8 (01:05:45):
A couple of parties?
Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
Dad?
Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
What grades?
Speaker 7 (01:05:47):
He's leaving fourth grade.
Speaker 3 (01:05:51):
In the fourth grade, and I'm the one missing finals.
Speaker 8 (01:05:54):
And I'm the one who had to like campaign for this.
At first, I'm like, what's he gonna learn the last
four days a school?
Speaker 3 (01:06:00):
Also, do you remember your last week of fourth grade? Literally? Billion?
Remember crew?
Speaker 7 (01:06:06):
Thank you?
Speaker 3 (01:06:07):
Yeah, I'm trying to remember my teacher's name in fourth grade.
I know my first grade teacher, Missus Budden.
Speaker 7 (01:06:13):
I was Moffatt, Miss Moffatt.
Speaker 3 (01:06:15):
Fourth grade Missus Xander miss Sinto Sinto. Yeah, I remember.
Speaker 5 (01:06:20):
The first man teacher I think I ever had was
fifth grade. I never even saw a man working school.
Speaker 3 (01:06:27):
Now we're in third grade, I had a male teacher.
Oh no, fourth grade I had a male So fifth
grade was miss Into Okay, so yeah, third grade first
male teacher I were mister Hill, Mister Hill, fourth grade
mister Hillman both dudes and Hill and Hill. My school
had two men teachers.
Speaker 2 (01:06:48):
That was it.
Speaker 3 (01:06:48):
By the way, I didn't know one of a mister Nicholas.
I didn't know what gay people were back in the
third grade. But looking back at it, I think mister
Hill was totally in fuego. That's so funny.
Speaker 5 (01:06:59):
Both the man teachers, mister Vinton and mister Nicholas. I
didn't know what gate was, all right, I'm a little kid.
Speaker 3 (01:07:05):
Don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:07:06):
Yeah, you're you're gay, hadn't dropped dead right, And mister
Vinton looked like, I mean, almost a twin to Freddie
Mercury like he was. He was kind of buffed and
he wore like you have the mustache, and.
Speaker 3 (01:07:17):
I thought, wow, what a manly man. And he was
like so cool. He was super gay. All right. Well,
so the the phone thing is not not really a
thing because it's uh, it's very unreliable. But the text
good because it's not just us. We have other radio
stations that are that are here doing their shows and
their stuff from from the boat. So anyway, you can
still text text works to two ninety seven. Follow us
(01:07:39):

night Disney Alaskan crew as well. Enter the keyword whale.
That is today's keyword w h A L E. Just
do that on our website today between now and midnight.
Just go to the Woody Show dot com. I feel
like this is something that greg Or Gina would do.
I mean I do it, but more or so, you guys,
(01:08:01):
you make up your own rules for stuff, like what's
a weird rule that you made up and that you follow?
Like weird? W you made it for yourself? Yeah, no
one made you do it. It could be for no
reason at all, but you decaid it was a personal rule,
like you know, uh, Like, Okay, I'll give you an example,
like if if you see a penny on the ground
and it's not heads up, like I won't pick it up.
Speaker 8 (01:08:23):
Oh, like you're a little superstition.
Speaker 3 (01:08:25):
Yeah, that's a superstition. That's a superstition. But to build
on that was what I'm saying, a rule. So somebody
like I just don't pick it up and I move on.
But I've heard where people go, oh, well, you know
what I do, And this is the rule they said
for themselves. They see the penny upside down, they'll bend over,
they'll flip it over so it's heads up. So the
next person has that luck. So the next person who
(01:08:45):
finds it nice, right, that's the that's the rule for them, right. Okay.
Speaker 7 (01:08:50):
I knew someone who and I don't like this for
some reason, this like freaks me out.
Speaker 8 (01:08:54):
But as they're boarding a plane, they have to like
pat the plane and give it like a little superstition.
Speaker 4 (01:09:00):
That's Superstiti's thing. When it comes to like vacation, right,
if I'm going on a week long vacation, Yeah, no
uber X to the airport. I don't care how much
it costs for Uber black. We're taking Uber black.
Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
No, no, no, because I should have had you arrange
the transportation in Dallas. Yeah, because because nevile. If I'm
you know, you spend so much money on a trip.
You paid for all these plane tickets, a nice hotel
and for this awesome vacation.
Speaker 4 (01:09:31):
Yeah, you don't get it. Every single time I get
the most busted ass uber X. And finally I said, no,
I'm gonna treat myself Uber black.
Speaker 3 (01:09:43):
All right, So weird rule that you made up for yourself,
you could text us over to two to ninety seven,
and one says, uh, if you need to retie one shoelace,
you must retie the other because you'll probably do that
because you end up with one shoe that feels too
tight and it's like too loose.
Speaker 8 (01:09:59):
I get that one I have for talking on the phone,
which I do not recommend ever talking on the phone,
but if you must, like if I'm talking to my mom,
and every time she doesn't get it, I say goodbye
twice and I hang up. And if you go, oh
one other thing, I am already in the process of
hanging up the phone. I don't go Okay bye, I
love you, okay bye, Yeah, okay bye.
Speaker 7 (01:10:18):
I'm done.
Speaker 8 (01:10:19):
I'm not I'm not sticking mine for all the way,
by the way, no.
Speaker 3 (01:10:22):
One more hell yeah yeah yep. This one says never
using a fake excuse, like I can't go my grandma
sick because if she does get sick, I'll feel like
I caused it. Yeah yeah, but that's like, Okay, that's
more like a Superssionesa, let's just do superstitions. I think
if I litter, something bad's gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (01:10:43):
I like that.
Speaker 5 (01:10:43):
Yeah, it's more of a routine. But when I leave
the house in the morning, I have to say out
loud garage closed, alarm set.
Speaker 3 (01:10:50):
Oh yeah, you've said that before, garage closed.
Speaker 5 (01:10:52):
The alarm set, like, because otherwise I will turn around
and go back and check.
Speaker 4 (01:10:55):
It's kind of like that Adam Sandler song, right, he
has one about wallet.
Speaker 3 (01:10:59):
Keys phone whatever. Yeah, well, not to this, but this
might actually make you feel better. Greg Not to bring
up the flying stuff again. But like when you're doing checklists,
like your pre flight checklist or even checklist while you're
in flight. So there's a checklist for the pre take office,
checklist for climb, cruise, descent, landing, post landing before you
take on. Oh yeah, there's a ton of checklists, right.
(01:11:21):
That PIB was just supposed to go through, and you're
supposed to say it out loud, even if you're only
in the cockpit by yourself. Oh all right, so all
one and two switches are on, strobe lights are on,
mixture full rich you go through.
Speaker 7 (01:11:33):
Yeah, so you don't skip it by accident.
Speaker 3 (01:11:35):
Correct.
Speaker 5 (01:11:35):
It's kind of like looking over all the stuff you
pack and go. Jacket check, Yeah, socks check.
Speaker 3 (01:11:40):
Each armpit gets the same number of deodorant swipes always.
If you do six swipes on your left pit, the
right one also gets six swipes. Yep, that sounds like
something I would do, but I don't count this. One
says you can't brag about a random act of kindness please.
Oh if he tells someone about it, it cancels out
the good karma about that. No, see, but I don't
do it for the good karma, like if I'm doing something,
(01:12:02):
I'm not doing it for the good car. I'm doing
because I legitimately authentically want to do it, let's see it.
But I'm also not going to be one of those
people who like, oh, no, well you know.
Speaker 5 (01:12:11):
Well, have you ever done a GoFundMe? Yes, I will
not post those anonymously. I put oh, like, I'm not
going to rite fifty. I'm putting my So here's the
other thing I'll do. I'll make sure i'm the top
donor because it has that list where you can bring
it out like no, no, no, no, no top donors,
and then i'll show those correct. So I'll see what
(01:12:33):
the top donation is, and i'll up it by like
twenty five bucks.
Speaker 3 (01:12:36):
One bit I know I won't do. I won't do
by one because that looks very obvious.
Speaker 4 (01:12:42):
I've done that before. But it sucks because then you
beat out like crap, that's all right, you're still up there. Yeah,
you're still on the top list.
Speaker 3 (01:12:50):
When you meet somebody, you can't swear in front of
them until they swear in front of you, But once
they swear, go wild.
Speaker 2 (01:12:56):
I kind of like that.
Speaker 3 (01:12:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:12:58):
I usually go first to feel out the wall, the expression.
Speaker 3 (01:13:01):
It's like, do you have any weird rules that you
made up for yourself? Like nobody made you do it.
It could be for no reason at all, but you
decided it was a personal rule. And that So the
swearing thing now I know for a fact every time,
and Gina, you'll see, I mean you have seen because
now Menji is the newest person on the show. There's
somebody newer than you. Whenever there's a new person on
the show, we have to kind of feel them out
(01:13:22):
true to see like where there's sense of humor, lizes
or how serious because like we say awful things all
the time just off the air, so like we're kind
of joking around and just kind of, you know, messing around.
It's not totally nothing serious.
Speaker 8 (01:13:36):
Yeah, you guys were definitely in polite mode for all
when I got here, and now it is.
Speaker 3 (01:13:41):
I think so to hear that you were very restracted.
Speaker 8 (01:13:48):
No, I think you honestly, if I if I'm really
looking back, I think you were waiting for me to
be super weird and disgusting and then you really let
it like we go.
Speaker 3 (01:13:57):
Over the top of the disgusting stuff in approach that
I was one of you Okay, what's good to hear
when you're eating? Save a bite of your favorite thing
for last that lasts by the mash of potatoes. Just
to finish on a high note. Oh, yes, you always
want to end on you.
Speaker 8 (01:14:11):
My husband, I can always tell when I cook what
he doesn't like, because he eats it first to get
it over with and goes.
Speaker 7 (01:14:16):
He waits till the last thing that he loves.
Speaker 3 (01:14:19):
If you wake up in the middle of the night,
you're not allowed to look at the time. True. If
you know what time is, you get anxious and you
won't fall back. If you won't fall back a step,
I try not looking back. Who am I kidding? I'm
going to look?
Speaker 4 (01:14:29):
Actually makes me excited because I'm like, oh, it's only
ten that happened to me last night. I'm like, it's
only ten thirty.
Speaker 3 (01:14:37):
Yeah. That never works for me because it's never like ooh,
I'm pleasantly surprised. He's always like, oh, I got fit.
I'm up fifteen minutes before the alarm spot are doing
the match two minutes before. That's that's the word I
did start doing it. Like where I go when I
go to bed at night, I turn I have the
Amazon device. Yeah, I have her. It looks it looks
(01:14:59):
like a big like matt a gateball. And that's the
size of it, right huh. And that's so that's my
alarm clock. I turn it so I can't see the
time smart So that way, if I'm just laying there
on my side, I can't even glance out of my mistake. Yeah.
Uh so, anyway, what is something like you have a
weird rule that you made up for yourself. No, I
made you do it. It can be for no reason all,
(01:15:19):
but you decided that it was a personal rule. What
is it? Hit us up on the text over to
two to nine eight seven. We are on board the
Disney Wonder on our way to Alaska, this Disney Alaskan Cruise.
If you want to win yours, the keyword today is whale.
W h A l E. Just go to the woodieshow
(01:15:39):
dot com enter the keyword whale for your chance to
win your own Disney cruise adventure.
Speaker 2 (01:15:49):
Shoe.
Speaker 3 (01:15:52):
I think I think we lost Sammy, like the crow's
nest or something.
Speaker 7 (01:15:57):
She's steering.
Speaker 3 (01:15:58):
I hope she's not seasick. Yeah, definitely, you don't know,
you know, she's probably get a makeover. Or something. Yeah,
I mean, I guess officially, her purpose is not just
to be here on the air with us for this.
She's actually cool or not. She's the executive producer of
the show, so she is busy producing, producing stuff. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:16:20):
That being said, if she comes back in here looking
like a Disney princess problem.
Speaker 3 (01:16:24):
Did my wife share the patches with you? Guys? The
seasick patches didn't need to. I brought my own, don't.
It doesn't. It doesn't affect me. I've never I've never
had that issue get sick on roller coasters or boats
or planes.
Speaker 8 (01:16:39):
I have a new little cruiser with me. I brought
the drama, mean, the patches, the bone. So you tell
me if you need something.
Speaker 3 (01:16:44):
Yeah, like the So these patches if you do ever
go on a cruise or you're going out on somebody's
boater and you got that, you know wow, Yeah, it's
just a patch that goes cut them behind your ear,
like on your neck, behind your ear there.
Speaker 8 (01:16:56):
And yeah, but these boats are so big you don't
are but not.
Speaker 3 (01:17:01):
Still, I mean you will. I can't sit here and
tell people that you won't feel because you do feel
the boat moving.
Speaker 8 (01:17:06):
Well, and if you look outside.
Speaker 3 (01:17:07):
You kind of get the like, I don't know if
you notice it, you know when when you're in bed
and you're like to me though, sometimes oh it's the best.
There's just a rock. Cruise ships are the best sleep
for me. I love it and I'll know if you. Well,
we haven't had a chance to really do it, to
do it yet, but sometime this week, go take a nap,
(01:17:27):
go shut it down for like an hour, can do
Go to the room because we all have balconies, so
we have like a little veranda. We'll have like an
inside stateroom here on the Disney Wonder. Just open up
that and hear the water sloshing up against the side
of the boat like it's just magical. And then you
(01:17:48):
get that fresh ocean air. Oh, it's so good.
Speaker 8 (01:17:52):
You don't need your white noise that sounds like waves.
Speaker 3 (01:17:54):
You have the midling no and you just gotta keep
it cracked because it's it is a little cooler out
because we are we are cruising to Alaska. Notation yeah, yeah,
tomorrow is the glacier viewing. Today is an ad sea day,
and today is also a day for what do you
show food news? Let me get a dlpet you know
(01:18:20):
that that. Well, yeah, what do you show food news?
Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
Right?
Speaker 3 (01:18:31):
All right, so here I'm gonna start with I'm gonna
start with this only because well this, this is not
necessarily appetizing. These are things either riskiest foods that you
can eat. Okay, so yeah, so food related illnesses are
on the rise. You keep hearing stories about that up
from last year. And so this is according to all
(01:18:54):
the numbers consumer reports. It's an annual Risky Food Report
which is out and so the top foods that were
subject to the most recalls and or linked with the
largest illness and outbreaks. Uh, leafy greens is number seven.
Speaker 7 (01:19:07):
On the list, spinach and stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:19:09):
But number one on the list is deli meat.
Speaker 8 (01:19:12):
Oh, chicks can't have or you have to put it
in the microwave.
Speaker 2 (01:19:16):
Is that why?
Speaker 3 (01:19:17):
Yeah, I'm not sure exactly why, but I've heard I
think anytime like when you when you cut even like
a steak, that's why, like hamburger, you really want to
make sure that you cook that as opposed to like
a steak tartar, right, because you grind that and you
eat that like pretty much right away, there's no chance
for the bacteria to really grow.
Speaker 4 (01:19:35):
Have you felt over the years that people are getting
lazier and lazier when it comes to sanitation. Yes, Like
when I go to some of my favorite restaurants, it
just seems more dirty.
Speaker 3 (01:19:46):
They have fewer people. I think they have fewer people working. Yeah,
there's a chain that I don't mention. No, Okay, so
this is not just because we're on a Disney cruise.
Anybody who's ever been to a Disney park, I mean,
look around this boat. Yeah, this boat is not one
of their newer ships, the Disney Wonder. It's you know,
I meant to look and see when when when when
the ship was une Okay, so it's twenty six years
(01:20:10):
old and you look around and they're constantly Have you
seen the guys walking around. They got the little buckets
and they're they're like touching up they're touching up the
whatever they call it, the glay, the salac or whatever
on on the handrail around like the pool area and
stuff like that. That this ship is meticulously maintained. Everything
is mega clean. But uh, you don't get that a
(01:20:32):
lot of places everywhere. I mean, Disney is just always
really good about that. All right. So Deli Meat number
one cucumbers are number two.
Speaker 7 (01:20:38):
Which love cucumbers.
Speaker 3 (01:20:40):
Raw what's raw dairy?
Speaker 8 (01:20:42):
Like one pasture?
Speaker 3 (01:20:43):
Yea, where do you even get that? In a lot
of places that raw milk is illegal. Caeso fresco cheese,
yeah too bad. Eggs, well yeah, no onions.
Speaker 8 (01:20:57):
I think with eggs it's because if you get any
shell in it, that's where the bacteria is. Really, that's
what I was told.
Speaker 3 (01:21:03):
What I'm telling you, like, eggs are being they're harder
to crack these days for some of them. Well I
have something going on. We're just getting Like I told you,
I cracked four of them this morning. I'm gonna have
another four tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (01:21:13):
That's my cruise ship breakfast and Gina, that's why you
crack them on the counter, not on the side of
the bowl. You want a flat surface so the shell
doesn't go up into it.
Speaker 3 (01:21:22):
Organic carrots at number eight, number nine, organic basil, and
then ready to eat cooked poultry and meat. I thought
poultry would be like number one. Yeah yeah, but maybe
that's like because undercooked. Yeah yeah, I'm not digging this
food news so far. Well, okay, so in one of
the other things, when you're on a cruise ship, They're
constantly reminding you to wash your hands, like if you
(01:21:44):
notice it, even before you go into like the Buffette area,
there's these hand washing stations. Like when you drop your
your step son off at the kids club, like the
kids like wash their hands. It's like these cool things
you put your hands in. It's just like these jets
of water and love that. Yeah, like, wife, can't I
keep talking about, like how do we get that at home?
Speaker 5 (01:22:02):
I used to get made fun of by my friends
for washing my hands before a meal. Yea on a
road trip, let me go wash up, you're gonna wash
your hands.
Speaker 3 (01:22:14):
Cheese It's and a family on pizza purveyor based in Milwaukee.
They're called paler Mos. I think it's how you say
it anyway. They have teamed up to launch a new
line of frozen pizzas that feature a thin cheese it
flavored crust. So they had the cheese It Italian four
(01:22:34):
Cheese Pizza, the cheese It Original Pepperoni Pizza right, and
the cheese It cheddar Jack Supreme. If this was in
the studio, Greg, you would at least try it, try it.
I would try it. But that's bottom of the barrel grade. Garbage. Yeah,
(01:22:57):
so he got a blend of mozzarella cheddar Romano cheeses.
And yeah, the people that were trying it saying it's
pretty good. I mean, the cracker is thin, but enough
marin aosauce to avoid making the crustsagy okay, and they
say it's I mean, look, they say, there's nothing about
this one that would be any worse than any other
(01:23:20):
frozen pizza. But yeah, so you can get it like
Kroger and Walmart and things like that. It's the cheese
it frozen pizza line. I need it. Yeah, you can,
you can, you can. You can check that out. Lais
has revealed the three flavors the finalists for their du
Us a Flavor campaign. If you tried any of these yet,
I saw one for the first time, have not. I
(01:23:41):
don't even know what the flavors are. Yeah, all right,
so they do this every year, right, So they're gonna
award one of them a million dollars. The other two
finals is gonna get fifty thousand dollars each. And so yeah,
the the the winning flavor will hit the store shelves
later on this year. And so you could vote for
your favorite chip flavor as you find them in stores.
And this contest goes through June thirteenth, So just go
(01:24:04):
to I see them at the at the convenience store
that I go to each morning. And so one is
the Lay's Bacon Grilled Cheese flavor.
Speaker 4 (01:24:15):
Yeah, I like that.
Speaker 3 (01:24:16):
I like that, all right, grilled cheese savory nostalgic ode,
combining two of America's favorite things, bacon and grilled cheese. Uh,
drawing information from her late father's bacon grilled cheese recipe
recipe cheese. Okay, So anyway, there's that. You got the
(01:24:36):
Lay's Valentina and lime. So yeah, so this is this woman.
She said it's her favorite childhood snack. Her mom would
make like a bag of Lays classic potato chips and
toss it with the Valentina hot sauce and then some
fresh lime. They always go overboard with the lime though. Yeah.
And then and then there's this one, the Lay's wavy
Korean style fried chicken. Let's do it? Yeah? All right,
(01:25:01):
that sounds good. Have you tried the fried chicken flavored
chips before? I think so? Now? Didn't we try them here? Yeah?
It was like a chicken waffles one. Yeah, maybe I
don't like, I don't know, like creating chips that taste
like meat.
Speaker 8 (01:25:16):
But I think there's a flavor that in other countries
it's roast chicken, and that one's really good.
Speaker 3 (01:25:21):
Can I tell you right now it's gonna win the Yeah,
the bacon grilled cheese. It's gonna be the lime one.
Speaker 2 (01:25:27):
Really.
Speaker 3 (01:25:28):
Yeah, there's too much hot stuff out there, I know,
but that's the easiest to produce. It's heavy on the
line though, how to be any easier than it's all flavoring.
It's just powdered. Yeah, I'm telling you, I know how
it's broken down. I have the insights. That's totally gonna win. Okay,
I want the bacon one to win, though, we like.
(01:25:49):
That sounds good to me. Yeah, that one sounds the best.
All right, Well, there's your there's your wood Show, food
news every d just a couple of things. You're clear
jelly apparently, Yeah, yeah, I mean, like I always go
and get it from the deli. Although, dude, the the
deli person at my grocery store, are they even there?
(01:26:09):
They're dicks. They're the worst.
Speaker 8 (01:26:13):
And my experience, he was really nice, but I looked
at his hand when he was getting my stuff and
he was bleeding.
Speaker 3 (01:26:20):
So here's here's the beef that I got with the
with the beef with my grocery store deli guy. This
is the this is there's one woman who's just rude
and she's mean and she's like acting as if like
uh yeah. But then there's this other guy and they're
always doing side work. Whenever I walk up there, there's
no one they're doing like, uh, they're preparing. They'll have
(01:26:42):
like those pre sliced turkey or whatever they put out
into the case, right, And so they're doing that. But
I would assume that the thing is like when you
walk up to get something, they stop that and then
get whatever it is you need. They say that you're
standing there, but they're continuing because they were right in
the middle of something. Yeah, right and then uh and
I go uh. And then and he goes, yeah, what
what what what do you need? I go, I need
(01:27:05):
a pound of uh, I need a pound of the
boar's head brand deluxe ham. I want it like shaved yep.
And he goes, I need you to write down what
you need, and they have they have like a little
like pad of paper and a pen sitting on top
of the deli case. Write it down. I'm like, obviously, no, no,
I'm done shopping. I'm just gonna sit here and wait
for you. Go right on the paper, please, I sit
(01:27:29):
it there. He goes back to his side work. He
takes the stuff that he has already packed up, puts
it in the case, and then disappears. So I ended up.
This is this is last week. I end up. I'm
standing at the deli counter. I call the number for
the store, and I go, I've been standing at your
deli counter. The guy who was here vaporized about seven
(01:27:49):
minutes ago and has not come. We'll send somebody over
there right away. I always have a problem at at
this particular grocery store. Do you want me to handle it?
Speaker 4 (01:27:58):
Do you want me to fix the situation because I have.
Remember the coffee lady that was very rude to everybody? Yes,
that's she was very nice.
Speaker 3 (01:28:05):
That's her. I gave her a little call and told
stop being a bitch. We're gonna take a quick break.
We got some more Woodies show here live on board.
They wonder making our way to to to Alaska. More
Woody show next, Hang on.
Speaker 1 (01:28:23):
This is.
Speaker 3 (01:28:26):
Like instead of complaining about your grocery store deli person,
why do you just go to a different store? Yeah, okay,
Well there's a couple of things. We all have our
store for different things, Like there are certain things I
can only get at this grocery store that they don't
carry at the other grocery store. That's number one. And
(01:28:48):
one of those things. Speaking of the deli, Boar's Head.
I like Boor's Head, Boy's Heads the best between the
two stores. The other one is a different brand.
Speaker 7 (01:28:58):
That's not how they carried their deli to be Boar's Head.
Speaker 3 (01:29:00):
I personally, I like, and there's there's other ones that
are good Beats and Watson or whatever. Watson, I forget
what that one that was okay, that was okay, But
like I prefer Boar's Head. Yeah, And so that that's
why I go there. For Why am I? Why am
I going to go to another store just because like
the people can't figure out how to work the deli
and not be Dick's. Why would I do that?
Speaker 6 (01:29:21):
So that you don't torture yourself because you know it's
going to be a terrible experience.
Speaker 3 (01:29:24):
But well, if you're just walking up to the counter
and just bossing. I didn't walk up to the counter,
and I was patient. I waited. I waited for a
couple of minutes, and then I waited for her to
notice that. He turned around and saw me and then
went back to his work. And then I said, hey, dude. Yeah,
I said, hey dude, is there? Are you? Are you
(01:29:46):
working this or is somebody else? Yeah, be with you
in a minute. What do you need the piece of paper? Anyway,
you don't have these kind of customer service issues on
board a Disney cruise. That's where we are this morning.
We are doing the show live here. This is the
Disney Wonder that we are broadcasting from today. It's an
(01:30:08):
at C day. We are on our way tomorrow Glacier
Viewing and then Skagway on Thursday. That's where they do
the White Pass Scenic Railway excursion. And then Juno is
going to be on Friday, and that's the Alaska Island
Whale Quest at the Orca Point Lodge. That's what's happening there.
(01:30:29):
But yeah, so we're doing a show each day from
the boat. We'll be back next week. We get off
the boat next this coming Monday. Yep. But you can
win your very own Disney Cruise is seven night Alaskan
Disney Cruise. The keyword today is whale w h A
l e, which, after all the food and the snacking,
constant grazing, what we feel like, you feel like a
(01:30:51):
total whale. Sammy's back. We thought we thought we lost
it to the crows nest, yeah, or that you went
overboard or something like that. We had we had to
do all the emergency stuff to watch that video. Uster
Muster Station, h Ward, your muster station, not the Mustard Station.
Speaker 8 (01:31:06):
No, don't be confused.
Speaker 3 (01:31:07):
It's the Muster station. Yeah. But when you're when you're
Disney Cruise, the word is whil w h A l e.
And you can enter that right now. Just go to
the woodieshow dot com. We're gonna take a quick break. Cool,
all right, Welcome back everybody. Yeah, it is Tuesday. It's
May twenty seventh. We are on board the Disney Wonder
(01:31:29):
Yeah Alaska Cruise. Thanks to our friends at Disney for
not only setting us up but also giving us the
opportunity to get you on a Disney Alaska cruise. Yep.
So what you want to do is you want to
take the keyword whale w h A l e and
you want to enter that on our website. Just go
to the woodieshow dot com. It's the woodieshow dot com
(01:31:50):
and you have a chance to win a seven night
Disney Alaska cruise for four people. So a lot of
people winning the three hundred dollars Disney gift cards. That's
the qualifying prize. And then you go in the running. Sammy,
when are we Is it when we get back on
Tuesday that we draw.
Speaker 8 (01:32:05):
That we draw?
Speaker 6 (01:32:05):
Yeah, that will announce the winter.
Speaker 3 (01:32:07):
You're announcing the winner. Okay, so it's a week from today.
Fun that we are announcing the winner of the Disney cruis.
But just keep listening and sign up because the keyword
changes each day. Today's keyword is, well, we'll be doing
the show from the ship each day. You're the rest
of this week and uh yeah, and then we come
back into port Monday. Yes, sweet, my days are all
(01:32:29):
mixed up. I've never been on a cruise before. We
left on a Monday and came back on a Monday.
You should's either Saturday or Sunday that you leave and
he come back on a Saturday or Sunday. But I've
also never been to Alaska before. That's true. There's that
a couple of the holidays. Today it's a National Cellophane
Tape Day, sure neat National grape Popsicle Day, the National
(01:32:50):
Hairstylist Mental Health Awareness Day. Well that's very poor because
they're crazy, as we've talked to them. Not your sister,
everybody else. It's National sunscreen Day. Okay, It's Old time
player piano Day.
Speaker 7 (01:33:02):
Oh we have one. I grew up with one.
Speaker 3 (01:33:05):
A player are the ones that play on the man
put the scrolls.
Speaker 7 (01:33:08):
In and you have to pump your feet and it
was never.
Speaker 2 (01:33:11):
A left.
Speaker 3 (01:33:15):
In the world. Nuclear switching to honky talk mode.
Speaker 8 (01:33:21):
Oh awesome.
Speaker 3 (01:33:24):
See today is Nothing to Fear Day. Okay, So Greg,
you're not. You have no fear of cruise ship even
before we got here. But you didn't have any kind
of like hesitation about the way that you do about flying,
not at all like my do. We been trying to
get my father in law two. We could we take
you know, grandparents with us on some of these trips
(01:33:46):
that we do with the kids, and we've been trying
to get We think he love it and he won't go.
He's freaked out. What Yeah, he is as long as
I'm close to the ground. I'm okay. Because he's thinking like, oh,
I've seen Titanic. I'm like, dude, okay, this is you
know how long ago that was.
Speaker 8 (01:34:02):
That was operator error.
Speaker 3 (01:34:03):
But also the technology exactly for anybody who's sitting here
going like I can't believe you guys are on a cruise.
I want you to watch go online and watch engineering
of cruise ships. You can go on YouTube. There's a
bunch of them. I know Disney has one where they
show you how they build these ships, and then there's
a bunch of other ones about how just in general,
the technology of how they build the hall within the.
Speaker 8 (01:34:23):
Hall, Oh yeah, we're gonna be okay.
Speaker 3 (01:34:26):
So yeah, even if there was something on the outside
of the outside skin of the ship, it's not reaching
like an you wouldn't know it. There's like all these
pumps and everything inside this basically like a like the
ocean wall space wall, and then like the interior of
the ship and in between that void there when anything
(01:34:46):
or whatever comes in there would break it, they can
pump it out, they can close that section off. The
technology of it is insane. It's it's really really cool.
Speaker 7 (01:34:56):
People literally live on these ships.
Speaker 3 (01:34:58):
Yeah, but today is nothing the fear day. So even
if you were a little greg, you just had to
get over it. I had to have no choice. And
a congratulations to everybody named either Jordan or Aaron, because
today is national Jordan and national erin Aaron, like running
an errand like an everybody knows that Jordan, right, Yeah,
we have one right here in the office. No, I
(01:35:20):
talk to her all the time.
Speaker 4 (01:35:20):
We do.
Speaker 3 (01:35:21):
Yeah, I guess, I guess. I guess I gotta get
out more. Yeah, I really don't know who that is. Yeah,
she's cool. What does she do? Sales? Sales? Okay, all right,
so the phones. I keep almost wanting to say that,
but yeah, you just have us a text over to
two to nine eighty seven, just so you know, for
the rest of this week, we are not doing the
birthdays for obvious reasons, because we have to play nice.
(01:35:44):
We're on it. We're yeah, there are is it Disney.
It's a Disney ship. Not that we can't have conversations
and we are, you know, doing our thing, but yeah,
we're just talking to go all the way with the
adult entertainer birthdays. Sure, yeah, so are you catching up
on like in the flight here or like, while we're here,
are you guys catching up on any shows? I'm trying
to I'm trying to make a point to have some
(01:36:05):
downtime to just hang around. Yeah, relax a little bit.
Speaker 8 (01:36:09):
I'm in a conundrum because it's the series finale of
Handmaid's Tale, so I got to see it and Andy
said there's some basketball thing that I tuned out.
Speaker 7 (01:36:20):
When he's like, oh my.
Speaker 8 (01:36:20):
God, I gotta watch it.
Speaker 3 (01:36:22):
Well we got we got streaming speed internet on the
Disney wonder.
Speaker 5 (01:36:26):
Now Gina's caught up on hacks finally, yes, which you've
got to start one.
Speaker 3 (01:36:31):
Yeah, so great. Now I'm trying to be like you
would he not always talking about F one because it's
my f session. But there wasn't There was a Disney
collamb Oh well yeah, the Disney cop the Formula one
that got announced.
Speaker 4 (01:36:44):
But tomorrow there's F one Academy that gets released on Netflix,
all female drivers, and I'm really excited for that.
Speaker 3 (01:36:54):
Well, speaking of Netflix, they're the biggest streaming service in
the world, more than three hundred million paid customers in
more than one hundred and ninety countries. By the way,
I didn't think there were one hundred and ninety countries,
only like one hundred and ninety two. No, I thought, honestly,
I thought there was like one hundred and sixty some No.
Speaker 4 (01:37:11):
It fluctuates, believe it or not, and I think the
last time whatever because I got aid, was one hundred.
Speaker 3 (01:37:18):
And eighty two or something.
Speaker 7 (01:37:19):
Now it's one ninety five five.
Speaker 3 (01:37:21):
That what it? Yea, yeah, ninety five almost in every
country if you count Vatican City, right. Yeah. They probably
have Netflix thousands of titles to choose from, but a
few are so popular that they get viewers from around
the world and they earn a spot on their most
prestigious most watched list. So this is the most watched
Netflix shows of all time okay, okay, of all time
(01:37:44):
and number one on the list.
Speaker 2 (01:37:47):
I know it?
Speaker 1 (01:37:47):
What is it?
Speaker 3 (01:37:48):
Squid Game? Squid Game? Oh wow? Which you would love it?
Speaker 8 (01:37:51):
The first season was crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:37:53):
Okay, and that's that's specifically it's season one. Ye Squid Game,
two hundred and sixty five five point two million views.
Number two on the list is Wednesday, Oh show, where's
the second season already? So Wednesday season one two hundred
and fifty two point one million views. It's so good.
(01:38:15):
Season two of squid games and number three a right,
it went off the rail. Yeah, okay, so season one
two hundred and sixty five and then season two fell
off at only one hundred and ninety two point one million.
Number four Stranger Things season four, It adolescent said, Number five,
(01:38:36):
what's that? Oh?
Speaker 8 (01:38:36):
That was crazy?
Speaker 3 (01:38:38):
It was so boring. It was really Oh god, it
was a boring. It was shot in real time.
Speaker 7 (01:38:42):
That was that was amazing.
Speaker 8 (01:38:44):
It was this show, this series about this kid who
is being brought up on murder charges. Yeah, but like
Greg said, the every episode is one shot, one camera shot,
and it goes all through the city and it's it's
pretty amazing. It's impressively done, but boring, you thought, Yeah,
you do need to watch it with close caption on.
Speaker 3 (01:39:03):
Yeah something. I watched a number six believe or not?
I saw it, Dahmer, Oh yeah, I saw Oh I
liked it. Yeah, I liked it too. It was good.
Number seven is Bridgerton Season one? Never watched? Is that
one of those old time Yeah shit?
Speaker 6 (01:39:17):
I watched the first season. Yeah, well yeah, but I
wasn't as into it, I think as everybody was. I
never moved on from and it kind of didn't track.
Speaker 7 (01:39:25):
For me, it has very fantasy.
Speaker 6 (01:39:26):
There was a lot of like sex going on, and
it was so this is what I this is what
I remember. This is what I take away because she
was like a virgin at the time. And then you know,
they have sex and they are having a lot of sex,
and then all of a sudden, well like the fifteenth
time they're having sex, she asks him if it hurts
him to have sex, and I'm like, if.
Speaker 3 (01:39:47):
It hurts him?
Speaker 7 (01:39:48):
They didn't know how, It had no.
Speaker 6 (01:39:50):
Concept of like sex, Like no one talked about it.
They didn't understand, they didn't know. And I'm like, you
waited until now to ask him that you've had so
much sex already, Like even if that was a I
should have should have been after the first time.
Speaker 3 (01:40:02):
Very weird, all right, Mickey just turned around and walked out,
like maybe I came in conversation part of the what
are you doing here? It's like, who is this person?
My god, and she's even wearing the ears she's got Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:40:16):
No.
Speaker 3 (01:40:17):
The Queen's Gambit is at number eight of the most
watched of all time. It was about chess really cool,
and then Bridgerton season three at number nine, and then
Money Heist.
Speaker 1 (01:40:28):
What is the.
Speaker 3 (01:40:31):
Season four of Money Heist?
Speaker 4 (01:40:32):
Yeah, I think that's it talks about big time robberies. Yeah,
it's like little mini documentaries if I if I'm oh,
I got to see that?
Speaker 3 (01:40:41):
You know what I started last week? Wouldie? And I'll
watch it when we get back, and you're gonna be
proud of me. I started Mine's ems. Yes, there you go.
Did you watch Sons of Anarchy? I did not?
Speaker 5 (01:40:54):
I did, okay, but I'm starting with mines because I
want to see the part that makes sense.
Speaker 3 (01:40:59):
I mean I can. I'm following it so far. Yeah, yeah,
it'll it'll, it'll make sense. It would make more sense
if you had watched Sons of Anarchy. But I'm always
jealous of people who haven't started a show yet that
I really love. When Greg Watt first started watching Breaking Back,
I'm like, I was physically addicted to it. I wouldn't
(01:41:21):
even sleep. I feel jealous that you have the experience
of experiencing it for the first time.
Speaker 8 (01:41:28):
There are songs that come on the radio and I'm like,
breaking bad, like like Baby Blue or like any of
those songs. It just visceral.
Speaker 7 (01:41:36):
I'm not gonna remind you when it is. I don't
want to spoil anything.
Speaker 3 (01:41:39):
But like, man to go back and see for me,
it's not it's not an everybody's show, but like to
go back and watch Sons of Anarchy, you know, for
the first time.
Speaker 8 (01:41:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:41:48):
I just remember, like I was at my mom's. It
was over Christmas. We were visiting and I had some downtime.
So I'm like everybodys telling me, I really like this show.
Speaker 8 (01:41:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:41:56):
So I put on the first episode and it was like,
I'm thirty at night. Next thing I know, it's after
three o'clock in the morning. I get and I'm just
I'm laying in bed and I'm just binging the crap
at which I don't do. I'm not a binger, but
I was binging the crap out of Sunday Nary. Yeah.
All right, anyway, eight seven seven, damn it. See I

if there is more, that's it. That's a rap. One
last thing, Greg Gory parting words of wisdom.
Speaker 5 (01:44:03):
Please, yeah, remember that the leading cause of injury to
older men is thinking they're younger men.
Speaker 3 (01:44:09):
Yes, totally the story in my life. You know, my
uh my stepmother, she threatens to tell on my dad
all the time. She goes, I'm gonna call your son,
tell him what you're doing, because yeah, he's doing stuff
that a man of his age should not be doing,
no making it worse.
Speaker 5 (01:44:25):
I told you not too long ago. My mom called
me and I said, what's dad up to. Oh he's
on the roof, Yeah, cleaning the roof. Yeah four gosh, yeah,
sat down.
Speaker 3 (01:44:37):
See my dad was trying to he's got these uh
rope swings that he has for the kids when we
come by from visits and stuff. And so it was
right before one of our visits, and it's like way
up in this old tree, climbing up this tree with
a ladder that is like kind of being held with
another ladder because the one ladder wasn't tall enough, so
he used one to kind of supplement for the hot nose.
And so my step mom's like, can you please, I'm like, Dad,
(01:45:00):
I'll hire somebody if you need to, That's what I
tell you. Or how about this, it's not that big
of a deal. Well, the kids need stuff to do
while they're here. I'm like, okay, fine, but you know
what he did. He did it anyway. I'm like, and
if this is how you die, well, what a dumb
what is that? All right? Thank you very much, Greg Gory.
Kristin Leemon is coming up next to here on ALL
