Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yo Bootleg cap podcast man special guests in here. My guy,
do you hear about brother? How you doing? Last time
I saw you, you lost one hundred dollars with you yourself?
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Yeah, man, I want to hunt. I want it back.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
You did like later on in the weekend.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
Yep, I've seen him again. Actually I wanted in New
York's in New York.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
I want Oh. I mean, this is just the thing
you do anytime this guy?
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Yeah, we uh as the tails. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
Would you say in general you're a gambling man?
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Kind of? Sort of kind of. I would say it
sounds like you are. Yeah, Like I give me a
good gamble on.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Every now when you go to the casino, is it
like bet some money on ship? But like if you're
in Vegas, do you like hit the tables?
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Yeah, just for fun for real. But like I prefer
shooting dice.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
So you'll play dice with the hommies. Have you ever
caught somebody with's some fake dice? Oh yeah, niggas play
with fake dice, loaded dice all the time.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
You just got to catch them, get up on it.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Like I haven't me personally, I've never lost to fake dice,
but I've seen I've seen people.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
You've seen people. Have you ever done the thing where
they have the plate with the little caps and they're
moving around and.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
I got Yeah. I lost to that before when I
didn't know nothing about it. I lost like like a
thousand and two thousand or something like that in Miami Crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
I don't know what they do. Those people are gypsies.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Yeah, you don't. You can't. It's impossible to win against them.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah. No, it's like they and then they have a dude.
It's like in the crew.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
That's gambling and you win, it's before you yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Yep, yep, yep, yep, and they're all ship I got this,
yeah yeah, they're all splitting up there.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Oh yeah, for sure.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
I didn't seen it plenty of times. Like I'm super
hip to it now though, for sure.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
What's what's new with you?
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Man?
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Obviously the new single has been out for a while,
and I know you guys are trying to take it
to radio. Ship, But what's what's what's on the way,
What's what's going on with you?
Speaker 3 (01:45):
I'm working on my album right now, bro. Love heard
the album. The music is incredible, man, Just trying to,
you know, put it together and tell a story or
really me, like I can't really stress enough just closing
that that chap, that little herb chapter and growing into
you know, me being thirty year old.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Man, that's been doing it for quite some time now,
and you know what I'm saying, trying to tell that
story of you know, where I come from and what
it took me to get here. You know what I'm saying,
because it's all documented, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
So your whole life's been pretty pretty it's all documented.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
So it's really me trying to trying to tell that
story to you know, the people who don't know it.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Right what I'm saying. So for you, is this project
more like like is it like are you talking to
your younger self how you're closing the chapter? Is it?
Are you making music that people can maybe like associate
with that era of your career?
Speaker 3 (02:42):
Definitely, yeah, I'm making music that people could associate with
that era, the era of my career one and really
just you know, closing that chapter because it's growing, The
music is growing, and I'm growing as a person, as
a man, as an artist, So it's it's transcending transcending
into you know what I am now, you know what
I'm saying, So.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
You feel like any sort of sadness like leaving that
kind of all right, this shit's.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Over, yeah in a way, you know.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
And it's a lot of emotion and vulnerability into the
project that I'm putting in, you know what I'm saying.
So like that's really what it is for real, Like
what I when when I say closing that chapter, it's
really just open and growing into a new chapter right right.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
For sure, I was talking with that. I just talked
to Joey Badass in New York a few days ago.
We had an interview and he was talking because you know,
he came in the game of he was seventeen. He
was saying initially when he first got in, like some
of the things he regretted was, he said, he was
kind of moving with like survivor's skilled essentially, like and
making sure no matter what he did, he wasn't going
(03:45):
to go nowhere unless everybody could come with it. We
tend to do that a lot. It was just like,
you know, I fucked myself out of some rooms that
I probably should have been in because you know, I
didn't understand the invite was for me, not me and
everybody exactly. Did you go through that same shit?
Speaker 2 (03:58):
I definitely did.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
And you know, I've seen I've seen Joey's whole career,
you know, because me and him were both with Cinematic
at the same time.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
You guys are both thirty. Yeah, yeah's age, Yeah, for sure,
very much.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
Peers, Yeah, we definitely that's my brother man, you know,
me and me and Joey, I would like to say,
you know, we came up around the same time and
together and Peers, you know, being friends and homies and
me seeing you know, when I came to Cinematic, he
was already very successful, you know what I'm saying. So
I had seen, like, you know, how he moved and
stuff like that, and he definitely he was definitely one
(04:32):
of those guys that kept the homies with him and
made sure whatever he did at the moment, he shed.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Light on them, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
And I was one of those artists as well, Like
I probably feel like I definitely, you know, cut myself
short when it came to being in certain environments and
being around certain things because I'm worried about you know,
everybody around me and had certain decisions would affect other people.
So I was moving with survivor's guilt as well, and
even to a point where it's like I didn't treat
(05:00):
myself like handle myself and carry myself the way I
was supposed to carry it because I'm worried about certain
things that I would do that would affect other people.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
You know, So when you come from a.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Background like that, you know what I'm saying, where you know,
everything so close knitted and poverty struck, and where we
got that mentality all let's stick together, everybody, let's stick together,
and if I'm the one I'm gonna save, I'm gonna
get all of us out of it. But it got
to be more so a group effort. It got to
be more of a group thing than just one person.
Everybody got to be trying to build and work towards something.
(05:32):
That's the only way that you can do it as
a collective.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Did you ever have like, you know, we all dealt
with peer pressure, but I feel like you've been on this,
you know, growth trajectory for so long emotionally, you know,
mature wise, all that good shit. Did you ever have
peer pressure to like maybe be a little embarrassed that
you were kind of outgrowing some of the homies. Yeah,
where they were.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
Yeah, that's yeah, Like that's what I mean by like
how I carry myself, Like certain things I wouldn't do,
certain things I wouldn't by I wouldn't show. You know
what I'm saying that that probably would have been helpful
towards my career because I'm thinking about, you know, the
jealousy that might come with it and people feeling left
out and feeling like.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Oh, you did this, you got this, you could be
able to.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Do this for me, you know what I'm saying, So
like crazy, Yeah, I definitely dealt with that a lot
growing up, but I've grown out of it, like all
the way, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
I think it's the most amount of jeworry I've seen
you within an interview that we've done. At least, I
feel like usually you're just bare neck. Yeah yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
The last Yeah, the last couple, I definitely came in
just just chilling for really. I still kept it like
today though, like even with the little three chains is
light but heavy, so it doesn't look very light.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yeah, yeah, no, it's light heavy. It's the light heavy set.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
How far along are you with this album?
Speaker 3 (06:47):
I really feel like I'm at the finish line, like
I'm if I was to say, I'm probably about eighty
eighty five percent done with the music, and I want
to close it out.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
I want to close it out and turn my album.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Man in Chicago, so to go to It's the studio
where I first recorded my first big records in Chicago's
where I started off at and I just want to
get the energy of that room. So I want to
go in there to put their final touches together in
that room, and I feel like it'll be like some
real nostalgic for me and especially I just want to
(07:18):
see like maybe if I record some music they're cool,
but if not, just really just getting the feel for
it and turning it in in that environment for real.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
So it's like I'm super excited to do that. I'm
not gonna lie.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
Are you. Are there any features that are feeling nostalgic
for that kind of period of your career as well? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (07:36):
In a way, Uh, the Juice World record, you feel,
I'm saying like it's of course, you know, Juice World
didn't start my career off, but he played a significant
role in where my career took off and with his
career and how we did a lot of stuff together.
And you know what I'm saying, and both of us
being from Chicago, of course you feel I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
So that's one of the future kids.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
Got to have the most released amount of vocals of
any rapper ever juice right, it's like him in two.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
Yeah, absolutely, he jews got enough music. Man, he probably
could drop for the next five teen years for real.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
Well when you would just like see like him freestyle
and he just wouldn't stop rapping. Like I remember he
came on our show once and he rapped for like
ten minutes straight, just off the top of his head.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
Yeah, he did.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
Tim Westwood, he rapped for an hour over an hour straight,
which is insane. I've never seen nobody do that an
hour literally.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Do you know? Like obviously you are a lot of
favorite rappers favorite rapper. Like when you ask a lot
of rappers, they'd be like, yo, man, Herbo's my goat
or you know one of the guys who was crazy
to me. You're thirty now, but you are like a
young ogre.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
You're like an ogen because I started when I was sixteen, bro,
Like when I really started doing music, traveling, doing shows, touring.
I dropped my first project when I was sixteen years old.
You feel me walking the phase.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
On Land And like even.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
Before I dropped that, I had already had like roll
to fase on Land projects and stuff like that, where
I was just putting out music and getting everybody ready,
and it still took a year over a year to
do that. So I put my first songs out when
I was fifteen years old on YouTube and just trying
to you know, just really just having fun with this shit.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
Bro.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
I didn't even know it was gonna take me here.
I really was just trying to like put on for
my hood in a sense, like you all right, bet,
I'm gonna be the spokesperson for my neighborhood, like you
feel me. Like that's what made me fall in love
with rap music, just talking about hood stories and ship
that I was seeing shit I was doing and experiencing
in the hood and kind of like getting that that
(09:41):
pat on the back from my neighborhood like yeah, he's
speaking for us, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
And it just that was like the only affirmation you needed, Like, hey,
if the homies.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
If the homies fuck with I was cool with that.
Like you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
I used to come on on the on the like,
come on the block and freestyle for my homies or
you know, play music and send it to their phone.
And once they learned the music and learned the lyrics,
like like I felt like accomplished, Like I was a
rapper already. You feel I'm saying, Like I swear that's
what I used.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
To do it for, like just just the whole.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
The getting the credit and the affirmation that you get
like from your neighborhood. Once I once I realized my
neighborhood was behind me and here in my back, that
was all the confidence I needed to keep going.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Yeah, I feel like it's crazy too, because if you
just think about like you kind of came up during
like the tail end of what we would call the
blog era, but it was like the world star era too,
a world star.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
Yeah, fake your drive.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Drive shot, great blog from Chicago.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
Show man boy barber Man.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
No, it's crazy because like I feel like we forget
like how many like errors of rap you've kind of
been a part of because you when you first came
in streaming wasn't even like thought, it wasn't even a thing.
Nobody had fucking spot up. Spotify wasn't even a fucking thing.
My first project came out on that PIF exactly. I
don't know what's going on with that PITH. By the way,
(11:05):
we need to the app is. I don't think it
exists anymore.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
There's somebody that's where we went to go get all
our music that PIF when I dropped and you had
social dropping on that PIFF and King Louis and all
those guys.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
You feel me any of those old mixtapes, do you
ever feel like you want to put them on DSPs?
Speaker 3 (11:24):
I mean, welcome to phase on DSPs. I think all
of my projects everything piece now. Matter of fact, when
I think about it, I got like thirteen fourteen projects
out on DSP jesus a lot.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Has there ever been anybody who you fucked with that
like ended up being like that you didn't realize that,
like you're just a fan of this person, and then
they ended up being like, Yo, yeah, I grew up
listening to you type shit.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
Rob fo nine for one, Like when I first went
the helly remixed fire for sure, good looking bro when
I when I first met Rob, I was just a
fan of like my cousin put me on and I was,
of course hearing like his music because I used to
hang out in New Orleans a lot hearing about them.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
And you know what I'm.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
Saying, my brother, me and my brother go to we've
been going to New Orleans, like it's like like our
third home for just going out there, hanging out, eating,
having fun and shit chilling with the homies that we
sucked with from out there. And my cousin had put
me on his music, but I had to remember that
I had already heard heard of him, like heard his
name kind of like buzzing when I used to go
to New Orleans and hang out. When I started fucking
(12:29):
with him like on a music tip, like he always
tell me like how he grew up listening to my
music and shit like that and how much he fuck
with me. Even Scaler Skiller do the same thing too.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Like yeah, Skiller Skill is one of those names. I
remember talking to him and him being like, y'all, I
grew up.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
Listening energy, yeah, yeah, yeah. So it's like it's a
good feeling for sure. And when you got like a
relationship with those guys. We call him your brother, and
you really are fans of them and you just want
to see them win. But if it's a different feeling
for them as well, being able to you know what
I'm saying, call me they brother and do music with
them and they've been listening to me for ten years
(13:03):
type shit.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
You know what's crazy is you put out a project
called Greatest Rapper Alive. And back in the day when
Little Wayne called himself the best rapper Alive, it ruffled
a lot of people's feathers because at that time there
was like this weird like division and hip hop between
like what was like real hip hop and what was
like commercial ship. And Wayne kind of kicked that wall down.
(13:26):
But nobody said about you calling yourself the greatest rapper alive.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
Oh no, it ain't really feel like I feel like
even when Wayne was doing it, like people, you know, it.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
Might be a little a lot of people to say
for sure, I ain't really I don't remember that. I'm
thirty eight, so I got eight years on you the
whole second grade.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
I feel like nobody challenged them for it, though, like
nobody challenged them to a rap.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
I called himself the King of the South. People people
were like.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Nah, but you know yeah, I mean it's really just
a confidence thing. I feel like as an artist, you
should all everybody should feel like they're the greatest.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Everybody should feel like they're the best. You know, I'm
saying that what they do.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
But like I'm a real student of hip hop, Like
I'm a student of rap lyricism and bars and you
know what I'm saying, like overall hip hop. So that's
what makes me, you know, say that and then you know,
own it because what I put into my music and
how I'm telling the story that I feel like in
my generation, only I could tell to that magnitude, you
(14:22):
know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
Right, And I feel like too. You've also talk about
the young og thing a little bit. It's like you've
also kind of shook like been one of the few
artists to kind of come from where you come from
and show people like you can evolve and not like
not be a crash out for sure.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
For sure, man, because where I come from, it's easy
to crash out. It's easy to make split decisions, you
know what I'm saying, Decisions that it costs you the
rest of your life. It's easy to do that. It's
not easy to walk away. It's not easy to think.
And you know what I'm saying, swallow your pride and
make decisions that's gonna make sure you get home at night.
So I try to like speak to the general you're
under me and tell them, like, you know, the real
(15:03):
way to be gangsters just to survive.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
It's a lot of a lot of people who was gangster,
and you know what I'm saying, their lives got took
or they freedom got took, and now they live in
the rest of their life in regret if they still
have it, you know what I'm saying. So for me,
it's always been like a chess game, a game of chess.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
You know.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
The key to being in the streets is to make
it out the streets, not the exactly exactly exactly. So
like with me, I always hear like goals to make
it out and become something. Even if it wasn't this,
I had goals to do something with my life.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
Yeah for sure. Uh, if you're the greatest rapper of
life alive, who who are you? Round out your top four?
Let's say it, Who's Who's the rest. When it comes
to when it comes to wrap Alive a love me.
Speaker 3 (15:59):
Wayne, Meek Mill, I gotta throw kiss and then I
gotta throw hole in that tu tho.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
So that's five. I wouldn't even way to cheat.
Speaker 3 (16:11):
I gotta throw in that tuto when it comes to like,
yeah rapping, like you know, they those those the people
when when they put a verse on that you could
arguably say is one of the greatest verses of all time.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
I feel like, yeah, I mean that new Meek, that
Meek record he did with Friday just got the best
version of your complex game so far exactly. And the
song you guys did earlier, that Survivors Gelt was hardest.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Yeah, I appreciate it. Bro.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
Me and Meek got some ship though, like chemistry is crazy.
Not for sure chemistry and I love working.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
He's also somebody who, like I feel like Meek is
like a great example of people who and it's so
fucked up because you know, Meek Mill should be like
the quintessential example of somebody who's like leveled up and
like matured and like showed you the way to like
build these big relationships, these big partnerships, and it's like
motherfuckers be on his head.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
And he was one of the first street niggas to
do it. But when you when you reach greatness like
that to a to a certain level, like it's always
gonna get attacked for you are gonna get criticized, You're
gonna try to do anything to bring you down, you
know what I'm saying. Like he was one of the
first street niggas. That's really motivating the trenches to do right, like,
you know what I'm saying, not be in the streets,
(17:21):
get your mama crib, put your put your people on
around you, empower your people, like he was preaching that
shit as soon as he jumped out, Like as soon
as he got out here and started making money, he
was trying to tell the you know what I'm saying,
the young niggas how to do right with it and
what to dude, you feel I'm saying. And I was
one of the ones that listened. And you know what
I'm saying. When he when he spoke, I listened, that's crazy.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Hey, real quick.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
We want to tell you about our sponsors at odds Socks.
That's our day one family. Make sure you follow them
at odd Socks Official. I just got to running a

(18:04):
Use that promo code Bootleg right now. Hey, don't forget
to go to bootleg cab dot com. You know, we
had to celebrate the two year anniversary of the most
viral interview of all time.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Throw the shirt up so you could see it. I
turned it down. Shout out to that boy Big Boogie,
a big college in Jacksonville, and we just threw these
on sale half off for the five hundred episode t
bootleg cab dot com. Go get you a shirt. Let's
get back to the interview. You got an app? Yeah, ye,
which is different a lot of people. I feel like
the day like, I don't know anybody who got a
(18:33):
fucking app dog.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
Yeah, so I'm probably definitely like one of the only
artists with an app for sure.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
Yeah. I feel like, you know, maybe Soldier Boy had
one like a decade ago. I would hate for Soldier boy.
I gotta watch com I used to be on it
all the time to what do you what is the
what's the like? The app is obviously very successful. What
is what are the like? What is that just a
direct gateway to your fans?
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (18:56):
For sure.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
That definitely like my music.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
So like even with like the project that's going crazy
right now, Greatest Rapper Alive that I put a walk
in the phase on Lamp part two, all those I
put exclusively on my app, you know, to just feed
my algorithm and for my fans to be able to
go and say, all right, this is for us, you
know what I'm saying, Like it's not. I didn't put
it out on DSPs. I didn't put it out for
the world. Really, I didn't really care about you know
(19:22):
what I'm saying. Please in that side of the music industry.
Don't get me wrong, I'm always I never say it.
I can't say it enough, Like I'm always working trying
to gain new fans, Like that's what I do it for.
I'm trying to gain that one new fan every time
I put music out. But I want to like make
the fans that's been riding with me from day one
feel appreciated too.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
So that's what you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
That's what the app does for me to be able
to get them exclusive content, exclusive music anything.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
You'll give them music that you don't plan on putting out.
I know, I'll give them music that I do plan
on putting Oh yeah, they get it first.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
Like you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
So I'll give it exclusive to my app for a
week or a couple of days and then they.
Speaker 2 (20:02):
Go out on DSPs.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
But yeah, and I think that make them go rushing though,
Like that make them go get an app and go
rush it because they know, like, all right, but he
put this out for us.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
You have a name for your fans. You know, niggas
got bars and shit.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
I don't need to come up with younger.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
You gotta have a name, man, You got all the
people with that app on their phone. Put it out
there be like, guys, his name is for sure, what
the name of the fan base?
Speaker 2 (20:25):
Fan base?
Speaker 3 (20:26):
I'm going I'm gonna look up some now, I'm gonna
put that shit on my page, asks man, see what
see what's staying in the test.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
You are known to kind of get on people's records
and make them your own. This is something at this
point you have like a really big reputation for who
wants smoke remix? Like if you go to the club,
you just you're just skipping to your version.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Yeah for sure?
Speaker 1 (20:48):
What for you, man, Like, what would you say is
like your favorite feature you've done, and just your approach
when it comes to maybe it's a remix, like what
the helly remixer? Who wants smoke remix? Or just getting
on somede because I feel like you went He's on
that Meek record. But I feel like you when you
approach these features, man, it feels like you always are
looking to steal the show.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
It's not even now.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
I'm just trying to like rap my best shit every
time I get on the owner, and I feel like
I appreciate the opportunity.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
So somebody come and get me for they record.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
I want to make sure that you know I'm giving
them my best ship and giving them something that they appreciate.
What it's like they excited to put the song out,
you know what I'm saying. I always like like like
Lil Wayne is one of my favorite rappers of all time,
Like he is he my goat. So that's what Wayne
done his whole career. Like when when I was at
the drawing board figuring out what music and what projects
(21:40):
I want to drop, I was doing features with everybody,
like send me a record, send me a record. I
got you whoever needed, whoever called me, any of my
peers need a feature, I'm jumping on it right away,
like and I'm known for that. You could asks around
like I'm going, if you send me the song on Wednesday,
I'm gonna probably sit that my fucker back back Friday.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
That shit is rare too.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Yeah, for sure, I'm turn it all the way around.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
And I go to the studio and I dedicate hold
sessions to straight features, like I might do eight features
in the session and one day. And I'm trying to
go hard on all them bitches though, because for one,
my name is everything, and so I want it to
be known. Like man, every time herb get on a song,
he ripping that ship, you know what I'm saying. So
it's like that's just something that it's important to me,
Like it's not it's not even strategic. It ain't really
(22:24):
strategic or nothing. It's just like me naturally, I just
want to get my best ship on the on the
song you feel me, And honestly, uh excuse me. Honestly,
features are the easiest for me to do because I
already get It's like an assignment.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
I know what I need to do.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
True, it's just the song concept already there right exactly.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
So now I could just take your song.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
You start from scratch, you' building the.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
Studs exactly, So now I could just add to it.
I could take the parts that that you know, the
significant parts in the song that make the song, that
make your ship hard, and the best parts of your
versus best parts of the hook, and I could put
it into my versit. You know what I'm saying, Like,
so strategically I do it that.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Way when you know you. I don't want to get
into the specifics, but I guess how like for you, man,
how was it kind of going through your legal shit
and just like listening to the internet, and because you're
you're a public figure, so when you go through certain shit,
you know, it gets posted on blogs, it gets posted everywhere,
and then you know, people come up with their own
assumptions and all this shit. How do you kind of
(23:25):
navigate that? And is there anything you learned from that?
Specific situation in terms of just how to move with
with just.
Speaker 3 (23:32):
It's really bro Like what I learned about the Internet
is they love you today, hate you tomorrow, I love
you again. So I try not to feed into it,
especially the comments where they given insight or information on
some personal shit that's going on in your life, because
a lot of times it's not really true, right, And
I've never been an artist to go on the Internet
and explain myself, like give an explanation or give a
(23:54):
statement to something that somebody may may have seen, especially
when it got something to do with my freedom. You
know what I'm saying, me fighting the case, and you
know I take that very seriously because I got children,
you know what I'm saying. So sure I'm trying to
make sure that I stay free and I get home
with my kids. And when the Internet, it's like they
kind of want you to crash out in the way
like they do.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
Man.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
They want you to comment and they want you to
say shit, and they want you to get overwhelmed and
stretched out to a point where it's like you can't
really function, you know what I'm saying. And I got
to be at a function because no matter what I'm
going through. I still got to be a father at
the end, the beginning and the end the.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
End of the day.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
Yeah, it's number one job, man, exactly.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
So I just try to be in my best headspace
mentally and try not to get an outside world too
much access of me, and you know, where I am
and the stuff that's important or even not important to me,
Like I don't even respond to the ship that's not important.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
You're definitely you know, for somebody who's had the relationships
you've been in, and you're probably like one of the
least messiest artists like in the game, like you have
to down.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
I don't know what the I just learned.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
I just found found out that Yan, it's not like
an actor being tired. They said, it's something about lack
of auction.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
It's also very research.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
On this ship.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
It's contagious. Did you know that?
Speaker 3 (25:08):
Yeah, I just said that, like it could take somebody
Yon and you yawn and and ship Like I'm I'm
just learning about like that, don't associate with being tired
because I was, Yon, I'm like.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
Damn, you're running around. I don't even know what your
day's been like, Bro.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
My week has this has probably been one of the
longest weeks ever, Like starting from last week the Summer
Smash being in Chicago, I was doing it was great,
it was amazing, show was it was lit as fuck,
having my son on stage, all that shit was just
super fire. Then I left, went to Atlanta, hed the
do press there and I'm here right now.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
You know what I'm saying, doing what I do, but.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
It's a blessing.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
I'd rather be busy than just sitting in the house
doing ship.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
It's what you asked for.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
This is definitely what I asked for.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
So I'm always gonna be grateful when I'm even when
it's hard. When it's hard it's to show up, I
still show up, you know what I'm saying. No matter what,
I try to do my best and just always be present,
especially for you know, my team and the people that's
going hard for me. When they see that you in
the trenches with him and you willing to go hard,
they go harder for you. You know what I'm saying.
(26:09):
So I just I never give up. That's not even
in my character. But to go back onto what you
were saying, like with me not being a messy rapper,
I take pride and that s course I take pride
and man in my business, I take pride, and I've
never been in a rap beef and I've been doing
this ship for then in fifteen years, like I've never
once been in a controversial.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
Rap beef ever at all? Has Has anybody tried to
bait you into some shit?
Speaker 3 (26:35):
Takashi sixty nine, That was about it. He did that
to everybody.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
He tried to bait the fucking world.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
Yeah, he tried to bait everybody.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
But somebody like that doing selling shit.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
Yeah, somebody like that, You can't even respond to them
because they are definitely like sing you off. And a
person like that when't like and I don't even want
to speak on him, for I don't give a fuck,
but like a person with no morals and ship like that,
like he's scooped super low, like he'd talk about your
dead grandmother, he'd talk about your children, he talk about And.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
That's somebody you don't even like.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
You know what I'm saying, Like pay attention to because
now it times out of ten if you see you
on person and never do that.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
I had academics tell me to suck his dick on
the stream. He was drunk while I said, yeah, he
was drunk because I had Rory on my show and
he hates Rory and uh, fucking academics. I don't know.
He was like, yo, boot like gift something my fucking dick,
and I had everybody sending it to me. I'm like,
I'm not replying to this.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
I can't.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
This guy is fucking willing. First of all, I don't
give a fuck a b He's just like willing to
get drunk on the Internet and just say shit about
my wife and kids.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
About anybody, bro.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
And it's like, though, I kind of put them in
the same boat to be honest for real, like him
in six', Nine they like in the same boat when
they come to like saying anything right and not having to.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
Be held accountable for the shit you.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
Say you feel, yeah and it's like for, me we
ended up getting on the phone and my boy ad
put us on the, phone so we're. Good but it
was just one of them things WHERE i was, LIKE
i am Not i'm not.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
Going to play in the circus, man and you're grown ass, man,
Bro so it's like it'll really take away from who
you are as a man responding.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
BUSINESSES i have a nineteen year old son dog like
that you want me to do play on the internet, exactly.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
Bro so it's, like, YEAH i mean you will look
crazy even going back and forth with a guy like
academics and, no it ain't no disk to, Academic that's
WHAT i. Mean but he's willing to just he willing
to do and say, whatever like, yeah for, Sure i've
SEEN i seen. That nigga, SAID i don't even want
to repeat this, ship but he said that he will
go to to meet me a house and piss on his, Porch.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Like what you're gonna do that?
Speaker 3 (28:37):
For like what how you gonna how you think you're
gonna even be able to get away with that type
Of you could say it out your mouth and it
sound good to the to the ten year old kid
And nebraska looking at this ship thinking that you know
What i'm, saying gangster or. Not but the real world
know when you say certain, things you gotta be held
accountable for your, actions no matter if it's, today, tomorrow or,
whatever like universal law will catch up to.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
You that's just.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
To, him he's built a successful business.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
Enterprise LIKE i love what act's, doing though you know
What i'm, saying because this industry is called the. Entertainment he's,
Entertaining so you gotta entertain, people you know What i'm,
Saying and that's how you become successful in this in this.
Thing but just, me, like as a man, PERSONALLY i
just believe certain ship should always be at off limits
and especially how you talk about, people in the way
you talk to people should just be off limits because you,
(29:26):
Know i'm a, Man so ANYTHING i, SAY i feel
LIKE i should be willing to stand on. It like
certain people say stuff and then it's like you have
a conversation and it's, like oh, no my, BAD i
ain't even mean. That so now you're going back on
your word and you're going back on your integrity as a.
Man you feel What i'm, Saying, like, yes that's my opinion. Exactly,
yeah where's the? Media so like if you could say
(29:47):
something and then you think all of takes a conversation
to you, know, agree everybody not willing to accept the.
Apology you got to always.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
Think you, know this internet ship LIKE i was like
not to speak speak on random. Ship but, YEAH i
just feel, like you, know some of the streaming culture
has been like you, know you see like a guy like,
fucking what's the? Kid the white kid that's Big Aiden
ross will go on his stream and just disrespect the
fuck out Of doochi and it's like, Who, like no
(30:18):
one's gonna yeah he was like w went in on,
her bro bitch and all kinds of you don't even
know this.
Speaker 3 (30:26):
Girl, YEAH i don't even believe in disrespecting women, Anyway
like as a, man you should never feel comfortable disrespecting
the woman at, All, like no matter what you, Know
LIKE i JUST i believe.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
You you, know you get you.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
Get bad karma for that type of, shit, man disrespecting?
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Women do you do you feel like you? Know it's interesting,
too BECAUSE i feel like we're getting on the other
side of. It but obviously you're From chicago and you know.
THERE i feel like there's been this like dark uh
portion of hip hop's fan base, that, like you, know
they really really are are along for the ride until
someone dies because THEY'RE i look at a lot of
(31:06):
these YouTube, documentaries they get really big and people like
they might not even necessarily be into the, music but
they're into like the gang, culture the gang or your real.
Culture so and so's got beefit so and, so and
they're super into the. Storyline and then if someone you
know or forbid passes. Away you go in the comments
(31:27):
to some of these, posts and the comments are fucking.
Insane it's almost.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
Inevitable Like i'm From, chicago So i've seen it multiple,
times the amount of rappers that didn't have a success
story because they met their, demise you know What i'm,
Saying so like it's almost inevitable for, real when you
when you live in that lifestyle and you broadcasting it
and you're promoting death and, violence like it's okay to
(31:51):
to tell your story and that's where we come. From you,
know we all got a history of coming from violent
neighborhoods and violent backgrounds and shit like.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
That like that's one, thing.
Speaker 3 (32:02):
But or your whole story and your whole image to
be just, that you know What i'm, Saying like it
just welcome a different type of, energy you know What
i'm saying THAT i don't AND i never wanted around,
me you feel. Me but In, chicago it's, big you,
know like they they super invested in the fact that
young black men are killing each other and that's been
(32:25):
that way like for years and years and they try
to warn us about, it, like you, know they want
you to kill each, other like even having nothing to.
Speaker 1 (32:31):
Do with the.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
Industry like if you go back and you think about
like people you know who who preached about, unity Like MALCOLM.
X you know What i'm, Saying like they wanted us
to be peeing against each other because that's how they
get what they, want you know What i'm, Saying that's
how they.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Win that's how the oppressed stay, oppressed you know What i'm.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
Saying so it's like when it comes to that type of,
SHIT i always been like ten steps ahead to just
be like you know, WHAT i ain't finna like just
be constantly disindead people and ship like. That you feel
What i'm, Saying like because we come from that that
era in the drill culture where like you disindead people
when you smoking on, this you smoking on. That you
know What i'm. Saying at the end of the, day
(33:12):
these people got. Families they don't even have to be
somebody from their, neighborhood somebody big, cousin an uncle would
want to kill you just for seeing you smoking On they,
Dead they lost, one you know What i'm. Saying they
loved one and WHEN i started to think like, THAT
i kind, of, like you, know grew out of that.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
Shit you feel, Me.
Speaker 1 (33:28):
Yeah it's almost like two when you when you when
you do that, SHIP i can only imagine the amount
of like stress you're, like going to the stores got
to be. Crazy you never know who you.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
Know AND i HAD i had to live with that
amount of stress for.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
Years like you know What i'm.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
Saying everywhere you, go you're looking over your, shoulder and
you gotta clutch and you gotta watch you looking at
you too. Long you gotta watch what cars riding. Past
you gotta watch what cars tending. Up you gotta watch
what cars park next to your. Car you gotta drive
on certain sides of the express. Away you feel What i'm,
saying like it's it's, Real it's, deep and it get
real meticulous when you live in that, life and nobody
want to live that life ever because you may be that.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Way you may be.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
Sharp when you're in your nineteens and early, twenties but
when you're getting your thirties and, forties you might ease
up and think, it's you know What i'm, saying time
to be, Comfortable and then that don't get. Comfortable exactly
when you get, comfortable that's when you lose your.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
Life you know What i'm.
Speaker 3 (34:19):
Saying because somebody's nineteen year old son might have grew
up hating you nineteen years straight and you in your
forties and he can't wait to see you so he
could kill you for talking about his dad or doing
something to his. Dad that's HOW i, Think LIKE i
always thought like, that you, Know AND i feel like
me having that mas set is, what you, know get
me home to my, kids you feel, Like.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
And it's not a great way to.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
THINK i hate having to think like, that but every
DAY i leave aout the, HOUSE i feel like somebody
is trying to do something to, me or it's, possible
or somebody can't do something to, me you, Know, so
especially being a, FATHER i try to keep my kids
in the most safe environment, possible you feel What i'm.
Saying so it's LIKE i just move with cautionum AND
i don't even welcome that type of.
Speaker 2 (34:59):
Energy like people love.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
Me EVERYWHERE i, go you know What i'm, saying BECAUSE
i show love like nobody really looking to do shit to,
me like even In, chicago like people really love me
for really and that's BECAUSE i move with, love like
you know What i'm, Saying LIKE i don't move with
that negative dark cloud over my, head you know What i'm.
Saying so WHEN i speak to like the, youngest the younger,
guys and the younger generation under, ME i speak in
(35:21):
that matter where it's like they, know, like, bro this,
shit none of it is.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
Promised so if.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
You're able to live a life and take care of your,
family take care of your, kids take care of your,
mother take care of your, brothers, sisters the people around,
you like you, know don't take that for. Granted take
advantage of it where you're able to do it at
a high level for you know What i'm.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Saying for a long, time you feel.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
Me, hey we gotta wrap up this interview another one

naja at the point in time you were able to
work with her and her to kind of embrace. You
AND i THINK i was AT i was At Summer.
JAM i think you came out with twenty, fourteen fifteen. Fourteen,
YEAH i was me and my bushout my boy beatout From.
(36:45):
Atlantic we somehow were able to withstand the security kicking
everybody off stage and bullshit our way to staying on.
Stage but how much of that opportunity was like a
like a game change of moment for you because at that,
TIME I i Mean nicky's obviously the greatest of all.
Time you know What i'm, saying like that had to be.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
Sure, nah, definitely man Shouting nikki And nikki always get
like my highest praise because what she did for, me you,
know it changed my life and she didn't have to do,
that and just you, know just the love that she
showed with saying, like you, know you the young nigga
that's coming up right now THAT i fuck with, right
feel me, like and you, know putting me on that
(37:22):
big platform and opened a lot of doors for me
to go and tour and do all kinds of shit
WHERE i was able to really take care of my
family and really move out of the hood after that,
Shit you feel me when you got that exactly and
having that having, that you know What i'm saying on my,
resume you feel me at such a young, age, MAN
i was probably.
Speaker 2 (37:41):
SICK i was still in high. SCHOOL i didn't even
graduated high.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
School, yet AND i had that opportunity and then you,
know for her to do shows Like Rolling aloud and
she bringing me out, again you Feel i'm, saying ten years,
later you feel me like you, know shouts out To.
Nikki you know she knows she always gonna have a
south spot in my heart to come to you know
What i'm, saying the opportunity that she gave, me you
feel me, So LIKE i, said it's like, artists especially
(38:07):
an artist of her, statue you know What i'm, Saying
like these biggest, her they don't they don't have to
reach back and do any of that. Shit it's not
going to take away or it's not going to add
pretty much anything to her. Career so with her doing,
that it was just like her character and who she
is as a, person you feel What i'm, saying just
wanted to give me a, shot and you KNOW i
took that ship and hit the ground running a thousand miles.
Speaker 1 (38:30):
Pout you've done, like, uh you know the stuff with South,
Side but would you do a full collaboration project with another?
Speaker 3 (38:37):
Artist, yeah, DEFINITELY i definitely. WILL i definitely would do,
that you. Know And i've been like having conversations with
artists for, sure like the artists THAT i fuck, With.
Speaker 2 (38:47):
Like you know What i'm, Saying like me.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
Like Mik nel would be the easiest.
Speaker 3 (38:52):
One me And meek been definitely talking about that man
and the music that we got is like it's forcing
our fan bas is to get on the end and
at the, start and.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
He's, independent SO i feel like it'd be easier than
ever to do it for.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
Sure, yeah for, sure definitely.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
Independent, FULLY i got this my last project with the.
Label i'll be one hundred percent independent WHEN i put
this out.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
To is this because you've you've been independent ish? Before,
yeah for, sure like all, distribution, right you had like,
partnership partnership. Distribution so after this, project after, This i'm completely.
Independent are you interested? In are you going to stay?
Independent do you want to see what that?
Speaker 3 (39:28):
THINK i want to try. IT i want it, shot,
LIKE i want to definitely give it a. Shot AND
i think when you are independent and open up more
doors opportunities for you to do stuff like, that collab
with artists and you know What i'm, saying put music
out at your own, leisure you feel, me and just
see what it's like to be in complete control of
your life and, career you know What i'm, Saying especially
(39:50):
being an artist that's been doing it for so, LONG
i feel every artist should feel at, once you know
What i'm. Saying at least give it a, Go give
it a go at least it was crazy for a
year exactly.
Speaker 1 (40:00):
Like Y'o Meek project come out To la DOING Masi. Project,
yeah My, DOUG i know you guys have some fucking joint, definitely.
Man so it's, like, yeah it's like it's kind of
LIKE i look at it like THE. Nba you, know
when you go hard and you do, this they, look you,
know a player gonna look to you know What i'm,
saying free, Agency so they could you, know going too
(40:20):
the max or the Super max or whatever it, is you,
Know so that's What i'm looking.
Speaker 3 (40:24):
At i'm looking at it like, that you. KNOW i
just want to just take full advantage of you know
WHERE i am right now, musically like you, know the
tension That i'm getting. IN i feel like this is
probably the hottest That i've ever been as an, artist
even ten years plus down the, line you know What i'm.
Saying SO i definitely want to get a get an independent,
route a, shot like one hundred percent fully.
Speaker 1 (40:46):
Independent what are you doing on the entrepreneurial space BECAUSE
i feel, like you, know you obviously you've done so
much on the charity, side you got the music shit going.
Crazy are you investing or are you doing.
Speaker 3 (40:55):
Anything, yeah that's the thing right, now like right now
Where i'm, at and get into a space where like
this is the most money That i'm making as an
artist even right, Now Like i'm trying to make the
right investments when it comes to like real, estate AND
i want to get into like the restaurant business In
chicago stuff like, That AND i want to focus, on you,
(41:17):
know THE ceo route of things as. Well like with, Me,
yeah sign and, Artists like that's another thing THAT i
want to invest my time and energy and my money
into signing artist where it's Like i'm just building my,
brand you, know and given artists under, me like the
generation coming after me an opportunity to you, know showcase
state talent and learned.
Speaker 1 (41:39):
FROM i mean it's almost like you you ran through
the wall for, them let me show you what not to.
Speaker 2 (41:44):
Do, Absolutely and that's that's something THAT i enjoy.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
Doing you fee What i'm, Saying like that's like just
showing the ropes and you, know like giving the game
to the generations after. Me you feeling like no matter
what it is or who it, is like IF i
fuck with, You i'm going to tell you the Real
like AND i don't want artists to make you know
some of the same, mistakes.
Speaker 1 (42:05):
But, TOO i feel like a lot of artists will
like rush in, too like wanting to have a label
when they're like not even like all the way where
they need to be. EXACTLY i feel like at this,
point you're to the point where it's, like, yo you
figured this shit.
Speaker 3 (42:17):
Out for, sure, definitely and like artist development is the
key to. Success so it's, like if you don't have
WHAT i mean by artist development is like if you
don't have the simple, ship like the little kinks and
shit aren't. Out when it comes to like just people
baying into your brand and who you are as an,
(42:37):
ARTIST i feel like it's nothing really a label could
do for.
Speaker 1 (42:41):
You. YOU i mean like besides to give you a,
bag give give you that front end, money and you still.
Speaker 3 (42:46):
Got to figure it out on your, right you know
What i'm. Saying so it's, like if you got to
figure it, out that's. Cool but a, LABEL i feel
like the best partnerships or the best anything with a
label it has it has to have a strong team,
around a strong core team to make sure that you're
doing what you're supposed to. Do on an artist end
of things Feel.
Speaker 1 (43:03):
YEAH i, MEAN i mean you look at somebody who
made such an amazing.
Speaker 3 (43:06):
Transition, baby, yeah, exactly, sure like baby baby, chilling he big.
Speaker 2 (43:11):
Chilling.
Speaker 1 (43:12):
MAN i think he's ever gonna rap. AGAIN i don't.
THINK i don't even know the last a song.
Speaker 2 (43:16):
Out, NAH i ain't thinking about.
Speaker 3 (43:18):
IT i was just talking To biby for sure, though
like just talking about rapping and getting the studio and
ship like HE i think he would do it like
just for the fawn of.
Speaker 2 (43:27):
It, yeah just just for the.
Speaker 3 (43:29):
Fun of it, exactly like just going in there and
just fucking around and you, know and we still have
those kinds of. Conversations but at the end of the,
day it's, like well we me and, bro we're from
the same, neighborhood like where we come. From you do
all of this to be able to get to a
point where it's like you could just enjoy. Life like
we ain't beat the streets and beat you know What i'm,
(43:50):
saying death and jail and all this adversity to not enjoy.
Life so he in a space right now where he
can enjoy. Life and you know What i'm, saying put
all his time and energy into you know What i'm,
saying his family and the stuff that he wanted to
do that make him happy on the day to. Day you,
know when you get to that point and you've experienced
enough ship to you know What i'm, saying make YOU.
Speaker 1 (44:11):
I look forward to that day and an eye for
talent man. Exactly, Yeah, no for, sure he definitely got
an eye an ear for.
Speaker 3 (44:17):
Talent we both had that, Though like we both had,
it you, know like when we know somebody got, it
when you got that, factor do you.
Speaker 1 (44:24):
Think it's got an it factor that you haven't worked with.
Yet it's that's, newer.
Speaker 3 (44:27):
That's, newer that has that it factor THAT i haven't worked.
With M I funck With Hurricane. Wisdom she's. Hard, Yeah,
no for, Sure like he one of the one of
the like new artists That i've seen coming, out and
it's like he just got that natural raw, talent you
fee What i'm, Saying like they don't have to be
nothing else poured into, him no, gimmick none of that.
(44:48):
Ship like he just hard and from the outside looking,
in it seemed like he just being himself with this.
Speaker 1 (44:53):
Ship, yeah he's. Dope talk about your foundation and you,
know for, YOU i feel like you've been a leader
in terms of just like pushing the mental health like
importance on the kids and just people in. General for,
you like how's your mental health and you, know how
has the foundation been.
Speaker 3 (45:11):
Going i'm in a great space, mentally, man this is
some of probably the Happiest i've been in a long.
Time you feel, Me and it's just Because i'm leaning
towards the things that make me. Happy you know What i'm, Saying, family,
well should my kids go always fall under that, umbrella
you know What i'm, Saying and just really chasing my
(45:34):
dreams and doing it to a level whereas everything That
i've planned to do is, Happening i'm actually doing. It
Like i've took time off AND i planned and strategized
to be doing exactly What i'm doing. Now so when
you when you start to see the benefits and you
start to you know What i'm, saying reap the benefits
of stuff that you just put on, paper you execute a,
(45:59):
play just make you you know, what make you feel good.
Speaker 2 (46:02):
About yourself and feel, confident you know What i'm.
Speaker 3 (46:04):
Saying and on the flip side of, that that's WHY
i speak so much about mental, health like you know
and speak about because you can't really be your best
self if you're not in a good space, mentally you
know What i'm.
Speaker 2 (46:16):
Saying SO.
Speaker 3 (46:18):
I try TO i try to do a lot for
my community and do a lot for like the generation
under me when it comes to just putting resources into the,
community putting resources into people where you know you are
in tune with, yourself in tune with your, emotions and
that way you can set goals for yourself and start
to see those goals through you feel me like mental,
(46:40):
health it has a lot to do with you, know
poverty for, real you know What i'm, saying going Without
and when you when you've go gone without and you've
done that for so, long it's like a lot of
people teeing to give. Up SO i just try to
be like like a key person to show them, that you,
know no matter WHAT i went, THROUGH i never gave.
(47:02):
Up so if you just had that mask setting like,
Man i'm just keep going on my how hard this shit?
Go and AND i know that there's light at the
end of the tunnel for. Me and when you you,
know you strategically set aside ship for you to do
and you're doing.
Speaker 2 (47:17):
It in that. Matter it's nothing like. It, man it's
no better, feeling you know What i'm.
Speaker 3 (47:21):
Saying so that's why, openly Like i'm super vocal about
the importance of mental health and the importance of like
get out there and go get that.
Speaker 1 (47:29):
Ship.
Speaker 2 (47:29):
Bro, like no matter, what no matter how you feel
or how depressed you may.
Speaker 1 (47:33):
Be at to get lost in your. Funk it's easy
to get.
Speaker 2 (47:35):
Lost in the, funk.
Speaker 1 (47:36):
Bro, like get up every day and just be, productive
try to be better than you were. Yesterday like it's
like going to the. Gym it's, like once you're in the,
gym you're, like, man but it's like getting up and
getting out of That, like, YEAH i just need to get,
out get out of the. Crib.
Speaker 3 (47:50):
Now that's WHY i am right, Now like in, general
like that's the next chapter of my, life my, health
like getting in the, gym getting my health, together eating,
right working, out play.
Speaker 1 (48:01):
BASKETBALL i HAVEN'T i haven't burned a thousand calories a
day just. HOOPING i haven't taken that step. Yet but
that's like my next that's the next chapter of my
life right. Now, hey gotta stop the. Interview you want
to give a shout, out, Man the only thing we,
smoke ladies and gentlemen is slap. Woods that's. Right make
sure you follow them at slap. Woods and you know
the reason why we smoked flap. Woods it's literally because
(48:22):
they Slap you ain't smoke a slap. Woos what the
fuck are you? Doing get back to the family, aside, wrapping,
aside studio. Side what are the things you do that?

LIKE i feel like it's something THAT i Really i'm
passionate ABOUT i want to do where it's LIKE i
want to give it my, All LIKE i can't multitask
While i'm focused on music and try to act at
(52:37):
the same.
Speaker 1 (52:37):
Time that's WHAT i feel. Like it's SOMETHING i could.
DO i have to choose one and lock into. It
so that's What john. SAID i still got ship THAT
i want to do musically right now That i'm focused,
on AND i feel like AFTER i put this project,
out AFTER i dropped, this THEN i, could you, know
try to lean into the acting. World you FEEL i

gonna be over here thinking about finishing my.
Speaker 3 (53:18):

joey say, that but that was always my mentality the whole.
TIME i always used to Tell, mike, like, BRO i
got to focus on one thing BECAUSE i Know i'm
gonna like give it my all IF i do IF
i do this acting, SHIT i want to really do this,
shit SO i can't be double juggling with. It so
it's LIKE i know for a fact that that's in my.

Work LIKE i don't pick them for.
Speaker 3 (55:06):
ME i don't even LIKE i don't know about, this
not just he like do it and THEN i do,

like the only strip Club i've ever been to where
if you make it, rain every dollar is up for
(57:24):

jumps down like like it's their birds getting fed in the.
Speaker 3 (57:36):

something like. That you feel we got them kind of strip,
clubs but we don't have the strip club culture that make.
Rappers never anybody ever talk about going to the strip
