(00:01):
It's the Lorie the Young Show podcast. If you missed the show this morning
because you'd rather hit snoozed than laugh, or want or relive some or all
of your favorite parts, we gotyou covered. Come on LITERI up Today's
Best Country ninety three point one wPOC Baltimore now Top stories at the top
of the hour. Yesterday I endedup being just a beautiful day out there,
(00:24):
a little warm, but still reallynice. Yeah, Todays should give
us more of the same. We'llsee low humidity and sunny skies with a
high right around eighty six degrees. The humidity comes back in tomorrow, though,
We'll be looking at a muggy andhot weekend. Mostly cloudy Saturday with
some peaks of sunshine and a highnear ninety one. There's also a chance
of showers and thunderstorms. Sunday willlook pretty similar, but it'll be a
few degrees warmer, with a higheron ninety five. Monday that we do
(00:46):
get back at the nice weather withdry and sunny conditions in a high around
eighty four. So we just gottaget through this weekend and then we'll have
some nice weather again for a coupleof days. Walgreens announced that it's closing
stores, and it's closing a lotof them, over twenty one hundred stores.
To be exactly what they're looking at, the company's CEO says that quote,
the current pharmacy model is not sustainable. Apparently twenty five percent of all
(01:06):
locations are looking at closure. Idon't believe they've announced exactly which locations are
closing yet, but twenty one hundredstores, that's a lot throughout the country.
So I would imagine there's going tobe some here in Maryland that we're
going to be losing at some pointhere in the near future. And there
was a debate last night, andlook, I know it should be a
serious deal that the presidential candidates aredebating, but it's just not really the
world that we live in today. So if you did watch a debate last
(01:26):
night, then you already have yourfeelings about it. Quite frankly, even
if you didn't watch it, thenyou probably already have strong feelings about it.
Either way. If this is somethingthat interests you and you want to
find out more, I said, pretty much believe you're going to do the
due diligence and look it up foryourself. So we don't need to cover
all the stuff that went out lastnight on the debate, but I just
want to make sure we at leastmentioned it this morning. And that's your
news update. All right. We'vegot a new song, and then we'll
(01:48):
get to Bethany's brief. Bethany, what are you going to be talking about?
So the Dexter prequel series, they'readding some pretty big names. One
of them has drawn me in.I know, I know, Oh,
yes, we'll talk about that.Plus I have the reason why all of
those contestants on the prices right arekind of kind of wild. That's funny,
(02:09):
all right, Old Dominion, they'recoming home on ninety three point one.
It's Old Dominion and coming home. It's nine minutes after eight o'clock.
It's time for this to keep usin the loop of entertainment and pop culture
and the things we shouldn't care about, but somehow we really do here on
(02:31):
ninety three point one. So,new court documents have revealed that Michael Jackson
was in debt over five hundred milliondollars. Isn't that when he died?
That's that is really wild. ButI mean, his kids seem to be
doing all right as far as justyou know, financial support from me.
Debt to rich people is different thandebt to us. It must be.
(02:53):
Speaking of debt, Elton John isselling some of his wardrobe pieces on eBay.
Okay, you know what. Someof them are amazing. I know,
so that could be fun. Samehere. I don't know if you
I don't know if I have themoney to buy those sparkly jackets. In
your future, I could rock sparklyjackets. I know. No dun glasses
though, the crazy glasses and hats. Yeah, all right. Experts are
(03:16):
saying, guys, brace yourself becauseexperts are saying that rom coms are back,
and I am here for it.I'm excited. Everything cyclical right in
the nineties was a big moment forrom comms, and they're saying that twenty
twenty four could also be a bigmoment. I think people are noticing they're
finding new life on streaming. Likethere's so many cheesy rom coms on Netflix
(03:40):
that just do like super well forNetflix, that people stream the crap out
of things like The Kissing Booth, except like they love them, So I
think that I think they're right,Like there is an audience for that.
It's usually on streaming. We needsome lighthearted comedy with some kissing. That's
all we need. It's the kindof stuff that would have been straight to
DVD releases like ten years ago.But now they find a hole, then
(04:01):
people love it. I'm calling forthe Olsen Twins to come back and make
a round. Come let it,let me speak it. Intos can do
it. That's what I'm saying, all right. Megan Markle is fuming because
Taylor Swift is buddies with Prince William. Well, she took a picture with
him. So Megan Markle has apodcast, okay, and she asked Taylor
(04:25):
Swift to be on the podcast.Taylor Swift said no. Of course.
I'm sure Taylor Swift doesn't even knowabout it. I'm sure she says no
to every single podcast she gets askedto be Yeah, Meghan, get real,
do you think do you think she'shating on you? Because Meghan on
the phone so I can talk toher, please, I asked Taylor to
be on my podcast and she saidno, I'm not mad about it.
(04:45):
I didn't think Taylor's entourage didn't evenbother talking to her about this, and
so anyway, so now Meghan saysthat they're in this big feud, and
I'm sure Taylor Swift's like, weare so anyway, now Swifties are on
the internet of course, being like, you know, Prince William and the
kids came to her London show andTaylor took a picture with them, and
(05:08):
Megan's like, don't why aren't youfriends with me? I know, right,
that's what it sounds like. It'sMegan creating a few to get people
to listen to her podcast. I'mstill not going to Does she have the
podcast? I thought it she Ithought that got canceled. No, am
I wrong? No, I don'tknow. It was like it sounds like
Janna Kramer, pr like, letme say something really silly just so people
(05:28):
actually like protect that. I'm stilla fing This reminds me of Jana Kramer.
You're exactly right, Okay, sowell, just you know, I'll
just say it, the debate waslast night. It happened that it did
no big surprises, or she'll justsay that I didn't watch it, but
from people who I know who didno big sprice, whatever you thought was
gonna happen happened, probably did exactlyright. Uh, And I sort of
(05:50):
wish it was an AI debate becauseI think I would have liked that more.
Brownie James got drafted to the LALakers and he's to play with his
dad, and I kind of lovethis. It's so cute. Even though
I don't think that he's really NBAquality at this point, I do think
it's cool that there will be anopportunity for a father and son to play
(06:10):
basketball together on the court. LikeI dig that. In other news,
experts are saying that nepotism is back. Okay, it never went away.
I'm just kidding, okay. Andthen lastly, how about speaking of AI,
there's a hospital in Texas that's usingholographic doctors, and actually, based
on my last couple of appointments,I think I'd rather be okay with it.
(06:31):
I'd rather have a holographic doctor totell me I have to drink more
water. Okay, I I know. So anyway, there you go.
There's the wrap up. All right, Bethany has your Flashback Friday selection here.
In just a few minutes, we'llfind out what that is. We've
got a sunny day today after theclouds leave. There's been a lot of
clouds around this morning, but mideighties for the high this afternoon. We're
(06:54):
at sixty eight now Today's Best Countryninety three POC Baltimore now Top stories at
the top of the hour. Apair of former Uvalde school law enforcement officers
have been indicted over the response thetwenty twenty two deadly schools shooting. There.
Reports are the former Yuvalde school policechief and a former school police officer
(07:15):
faced several felony charges of abandoning andendangering a child. The shooting at rob
Elementary School left nineteen children and twoteachers dead, and officials have long been
criticized for the slowness of the responsefrom authorities during this situation. We're learning
more about the proposed Red Line publictransit here in Baltimore. Governor Wes Moore
is planning a press conference about itscheduled for today, but we now know
the red Line will feature light railcars, not rapid buses. Moore says
(07:39):
that they listen to communities, stakeholdersand leaders across the state and it was
clear that this is what they wanted. The red Line had been approved before,
but it was axed by Governor Hogan. It was later revived by Governor
Moore. The transit line will runeast west across Baltimore, while the current
light rail system runs north south. And I touched on this story a little
while ago, but the NFL wasbeing sued for its deals with DirecTV and
that whole Sun Ticket package, whileLos Angeles Jerry found that the league did
(08:03):
in fact violate federal antitrust laws byinflating the price of NFL Sunday ticket and
preventing fans from buying single team packages. The league reportedly must pay nearly five
billion dollars to fans who subscribe toSunday Ticket and ninety six million to bars
that were overcharged for the package aswell. Now these amounts could be tripled
under the law, so there couldbe even more money involved here. The
NFL, of course plans to appeal, but that is a big chunk of
(08:26):
change. Five billion dollars. That'sa lot of money. Even if you
are the NFL, that still alot of cash. So yeah, interesting
to see that one come down. That's your new update, all right?
What's coming up on your brief?Bethany Taylor switches in another feud, Yes,
so I don't even know if sheknows about this one. Now I
find it fascinating that, Yeah, this one, all right, we've got
the new Old Dominion two, Solet's play that first and then order to
(08:48):
the brief He's coming home. Therebe so many Today's Best Country It's Kenny
Chesney on ninety three point one WPOC. If movies is what you're looking to
do this weekend, you want togo to a theater or whatever, have
(09:09):
a couple of suggestions for you.I know tomorrow is supposed to maybe rain.
I don't know what the weather's goingto be like. All right,
A Quiet Place Day one horror moviethat is out. When New York City
comes under attack from an alien invasion, a woman and other survivors try to
find a way to safety. Theysoon learn that they have to remain absolutely
silent as the mysterious creatures are drawnto the slightest sound. I love Lapita
(09:33):
Nuango. She's in some other actorsthat are excellent. What's rotten to me
this thing? Yeah? It's givingit an eighty five percent? Nice People
have really liked the Quiet Place franchise. Yeah, yeah, they really have.
That Kevin Costner movie Horizon on AmericanSaga. This is chapter one and
are there three. I think it'sthree. Yes, yeah, okay.
(09:54):
Families, friends and foes discover thelure of the Old West as the Civil
War divide the country. So KevinCosser, Cianna Miller, Sam Worthington,
Giovanni Rabisi. There's a lot ofnames in it. What's rotten tomatoes got
to say? Yeah, it's givingit a forty two percent. One of
the critics said, The Horizon isthe kind of autour project that makes one
(10:16):
long for the idea of studio notes, for anyone to push back on Costner's
worst instincts. Unfortunately, he provesto be the judge jury, an executioner
of his own passion project. Yikes, it is three hours long. Yeah,
it's a long one too. Andthose Westerns can feel long anyway because
they're out on those dusty roads.Yes, so we'll see. You just
want them to stop and get adrink. I know it did well at
(10:39):
con, but I'm not sure howthis one's going to do with the general
We'll find out. We'll find out. Yeah, all right, you have
another one. Yeah, this onelooks kind of interesting. It's over on
Netflix. Yeah, it comes outtoday. It's called a Family affair.
It stars Nicole Kibben, zac Efronand Joey King. I think the long
story short is Joey King plays theassistant to zac Efron, who's a big
Hollywood actor, but he ends upfalling for her mom by Nicole Kidman,
(11:01):
and then you know, wildness ensues. But older women are having a moment
in Hollywood. Dane Hathaway movie, you got that there was something else too
where, like there was fun olderwoman and a younger man. Yes,
that's probably. And this one looksto be kind of like a rom com.
It's supposed to just be a littlebit of fun. It's getting fifty
three percent on Rotten Tomatoes, whichis pretty much exactly what I would expect
it to get given the content ofthe film. But if you're looking for
(11:22):
someone to stream that could be kindof fun. That might be for you.
All right, Are there other thingshappening locally if you don't want to
go to a movie or stream amovie that you could go do? Sure,
concerts, some concerts get outside.Yeah, Hearty's in town tonight.
He's a Jiffy loub live. Ifthat's not you're thing. Donny Osmond is
also in town. Talk about theopposite ends of the spectrum. I mean
(11:43):
something for everybody. You got it. The Rangers are happening there in town.
They're going to play the Orioles allweekend. So that's the thing.
Phil Vasser's and Annapolis tonight. Anothershout out for his show over there at
Ram's Head on stage. Yeah, tomorrow and Sunday night. You got Alanis
Morris sat with Joan Jet and MorganWade. We're going tomorrow night. Yeah.
(12:07):
I think that'll be a great show. Hoping the rain holds off.
Is that me? Yeah? Yeah. I think jon Jet is like the
guest splasher or something at the Oriolsgame tonight. I don't really know what
that means, but I think shelike sits in the outfield and sprays fans
with water, which I think iskind of funny. Yes, that sounds
great. I love Alanis. Iwould love that show. I think I'm
very excited. Never seen her before. Chris Brown, I guess he's in
(12:31):
town on Sunday. People. Stillhe's still a thing. He's not canceled.
I don't understand, but whatever.Yeah, So lots of concerts this
week. Yeah, there's a lotto do. If you're looking for something
and it's gonna be It's gonna behot a weekend. Do you think so
pretty warm? Yeah? Pretty doesheat back up again over the weekend.
I'm probably gonna take it a fatnap. I think that's great. It
(12:56):
does sound it sounds good right thisminute. Actually, I'm ready to just
get a blanket. And there's LovingTheft with Angel Eyes ninety three point one
WPOC. She laughs, Whiskey whizzer. I guess this is where it is.
(13:18):
It's Bailey Zimmerman ninety three point oneWPOC, Today's Best Country. We'll
get to Tyler Hubbard and Alan Jacksonhere in just a couple of minutes.
Every once in a while, maybeonce every six weeks or so, we
just try to find out, tunein what everybody is watching to give us
ideas for things we might want tocheck out on TV. What are you
(13:39):
watching, Bethany? I just finishedTop Chef. They got a new host
this year, and like the newhost. Yeah, she's she's not bad.
It's tough. That show has beenon for twenty seasons, so to
take over for someone that's been doingwell love yeah, yeah. And then
I also am in this rewatching oldshows kick and I am rewatching Big Love,
(14:03):
which is, oh yeah, apolygamist drama. Yeah yeah. So
now I'm out in the public likelooking at people and oh yeah, they're
definitely plaguing. Oh yeah, she'sout spying now, Oh yeah. Definitely.
Many wives, many, many wives. I've been watching a couple of
documentaries. I just started one. You'll love this Saint Pierre. There is
a documentary of Nickelback Oh Go andtheir story. It's funny. I saw
(14:26):
I know how much you like RyanReynolds. I did think of you.
He actually, in the beginning ofthe documentary comes on and says how fantastic
they are, because you know,he's from Canada. There from Canada.
But it is an interesting story.I haven't watched the whole thing. I'm
only like twenty five minutes in maybe, but I'm going to go back and
finish that up. The one Ireally want to talk about is the Celine
Dion documentary. Okay, that isreally what I have to give her props
(14:54):
for is that she really lets peopleinto her world. Yea. I mean
you're seeing her while she's having aseizure. You're seeing it's kind of on.
It talks a lot about her careerand starting out and her family when
she was a kid, and youget all the background. But obviously she
now has this stiff person syndrome, and you know it's such a rare thing.
(15:15):
A lot of us didn't really knowwhat does that mean? What do
you go through? Kind of thing? Well, you see that, and
I'll tell you she is driven. That woman is the strength she has to
try to get better, so thatshe really her goal is to get back
out performing again, because there's nothingthat brings her greater joy. She's always
been very musical. From times shewas a kid, she was singing for
(15:39):
her family and that's what brings herjoy is singing. And so to watch
what she goes through. Also, you'll be amazed at how organized she is.
I just want to say, inher house, every time she opens
up something like a drawer, there'smaybe one hundred and fifty sharpies, but
they're all in their special place.Or her sock drawer there's probably one hundred
(16:03):
pairs of socks. She has bigdrawers and they're all rolled up perfectly in
line. I'm like, that woman'sorganized. Wow. But it's it is
interesting and it takes you into herworld a little bit to see what she's
going through. And I'm just, you know, good for her that she
was willing to let people see someof the rough stuff she's in the middle
(16:25):
of. I think only I thinkI read one hundred and thirty three people
in the US have that. Yeah. Oh wow, Yeah, that's that's
rare. How rare it is.Yeah, and it's amazing that there are
people that know enough about it thatthey can help her, Like you think
you'd have to research just to tryto She's got a lot of you know,
physical therapist and she has to havea doctor nearby and they give her
(16:45):
different meds to try to deal withstuff. And it's it is a wild
story, but it's definitely worth awatch. She's not given up. That
woman is not given up. Whatdo you watch in Saint Pee? Hard
to follow that. My wife hasput bridges In on the back burner for
a few minutes. So now we'recurrently rewatching Gilmore Girls for the ninetieth time.
(17:07):
So that's happening. I can't evenwatch that show anymore. As much
as I used to watch it.I hate it so much. Yeah,
it drives me. So I rememberwatching it when it was like out and
thinking like, oh, this issuch a sweet, wholesome show, and
I watch them like these people areawful human beings. There's not a single
one of them with any redemptive qualitiesexcept for Kirk because he tries. He
tries so hard. Anyway, Butwe also started watching The Bear. We're
(17:30):
a couple episodes into the new seasonthere. I've watched a couple. Yeah,
I mentioned yesterday that we're watching TheChallenge on Paramount plus the season thirty
nine of that. Oh I didfinally, I finally broke down. I
started watching Roadhouse, the New Roadhouse. It's it's just as bad as it's
(17:51):
living up to it, isn't JakeJill Holland that, Yeah, yeah,
even the I mean I haven't finishedit yet, but even like the fight
scenes I've seen so far looks soai generated, Like it doesn't even look
like I know, they're obviously notpunching each other in the face, Like
I get that it's not no fightscenes and movies are real, but like
you can even see like blurriness whereit looks like they edited it to make
it look I don't know, it'sjust it's none of it is good.
(18:11):
Like it's just bad. Jake Jillenhallis in that new show Presumed Innocent.
I watched the first episode of that, so not enough to like really say
anything about it yet, but Idid watch the first I watched a couple
there's I think there's three or fourout. I don't know, and I'm
still I'm not sure. I'm stillnot sure how i feel about it,
but anyway, I'm sticking with it. It seems interesting. A couple texts,
(18:33):
Uh, somebody's watching repeats of PerryMason. Oh okay, wow,
my husband loves those. Oh wow, Joey Pickett. Yeah, Joey Pickett.
Joe I thought it was Joe Pickett. I don't know anyway, he
plays the he's you know, likeh he works for the Department of Natural
Resources or something, and there aremurders in the woods. It's And then
(18:55):
somebody else said Milf Manner is sofunny. I haven't. I don't know
what that is either. Oh,there's so much TV, too much,
But you know what, I havebeen searching a lot around for stuff because
you know, if anybody ever watchesNetwork, which a lot of people don't,
there's nothing on there, So you'remore people are searching I think around
(19:15):
right now of all ages, justto find something that's new. So yeah,
there's a lot of content. Thereis a lot. I didn't even
know there was a documentary about Nickelback. I just stumbled at it. No,
I'm always interested in people's stories. In the documentary, Do they know
that people hate them? You knowwhat? Somebody they're interviewing says they were
(19:37):
the first to start the whole cancelculture. They felt like nickel Back was
that was that that they were thefirst ones that people did that. I
think they're saying that because it makesthem sound cool. But it wasn't anybody
in the band them. No,No, it was like somebody who was
observing. I also have that.I don't know that band didn't say that,
But like, I also find ithard to say anybody was can so
(20:00):
when they're still selling twenty thousand ticketsa night, you weren't canceled. Cancel
is Kevin Spacey who can't afford topay for his mortgage anymore? Rights.
I guess the whole thing is justyou know, it's it is kind of
interesting that people just had this hate, like there was love them and they
hate them. There was a lotout there, but it is kind of
an interesting story, I think.Anyway, if you're watching something that you
(20:22):
find interesting worth you know, givinga little quick review, we'd love to
hear from you. Seven seventy ninesix two. Start with higher Hate,
jag Mans good, Whiskey, ridderMans good, riding Rooms, country Mans
good means you music Grim Old Dominionninety three point one WPOC. The thing
(20:48):
I love about those guys is theyjust always have this vibe about them.
Yes, it's just so fun. It's like, yeah, true, I
want to go to your show.I like how you're feeling to keep us
in the loop of entertainment and popculture and the things we shouldn't care about,
but somehow we really do. Asavery On ninety three point one WOC
(21:11):
So Texas and let us know whatyou think of that song seven to seven
nine six to begin your message withhigher hay. I also I had to
look up what Katie by the Doormeans. Did you you guys know we
bar the door? Yeah? Iwas like, what is her name Katie
in the song? But it meansit's an old colloquialism that means hold on
to click out troubles right, yourack, And I was like, huk,
(21:34):
I will Katie bar the door. He's been a lover, like he
just got home from war, sothink about it. I'm standing by the
door right now. I'm waiting, all right, justin Timberlake had a rough
week, but he did sell hismansion before he got arrested, so that's
pretty good. A whoppy. Iwas worried about that. I know,
(21:55):
eight million dollars, one hundred andtwenty seven acre property in Tennessee. Boy,
good for him. Yeah right still, and it didn't ruin the world
tour. He's fine. He's stilldoing okay. Isn't he here in Baltimore
next week? Yes? Yeah, well great, i'l Katie barsador. Ever
(22:18):
wonder about that quirky, over thetop behavior that some of those contestants have
on the prices right well, DrewCarey says that most of them are either
high or drunk. Okay, thatexplains a lot. Is that real?
That's what That's what he said.He says he can a lot of times
he can smell alcohol on their breath, or he'll see them pop gummies.
He said. One guy even camein tripping on mushrooms. Yeah, I'm
(22:42):
not surprised. I think you haveto wait in line for a minute somebody.
I think, yeah, somebody's probablydone it. A lot of those
shows you have to wait. Mymom wanted to do the Ellen Show years
ago. My mom and sister wentout to Los Angeles and they wanted to
go to and they they had towait in line to do it if they
would be like hours, and theywere like, we're not doing this something.
You have to be really committed. You have to bring a roadie with
(23:02):
you. That's why by the timeyou get through the door, you're drunk.
Okay, so oh. Sarah MichelleGella has joined the cast of Dexter,
the prequel series. It's called OriginalSin. She's going to be Dexter's
boss in the series. That's exciting. I didn't have much interest in this
until this was announced, and nowI'm signed. Me. Sarah Michelle Gellar
(23:26):
was like my teenage like because shewas Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She was
my like, she was my girlin high school and she will forever be
that person to me. That's sofunny. Are you ready for a nineties
Would you rather Okay to Panga orBuffy? Oh? Buffy. Really,
I think to Pega's great, don'tget me wrong, but it would be
Buffy all the way. She said, this was his girl. You don't
(23:48):
even stop to Panga Trump like everynineties girl. No, I mean look
again to Panga great like you know, top tier. We're talking like top
five nineties, you know, crushing, But Buffy is the number one.
He's loyal to Buffy. I hada Buffy the Vampires Slayer T shirt I
used to wear. Let me putit this, see right now, Katie
(24:11):
bar the door. The door.Oh, I don't know if Freddy Prince
Junior might have some thoughts about that. Also, a nineties name, Patrick
Dempsey's in the series, as wellas Christian Slater. It'll be on Paramount
Plus. And lastly, if youare fixing to Katie bar your own door
this weekend, maybe pick up amop because a survey says that most people
(24:37):
sixty nine percent of Americans get turnedon h if they see their partner cleaning.
That's actually our survey today. Doesit do it for you? Yeah?
Absolutely. The other day I wasvacuuming, and vacuuming tends to be
somebody that my wife will kind ofdo and I was backing. My wife
is like, You've never looked betterto me, And I was like,
what about all the times I dothe dishes and the laundry. You never
see that, right, Like,I look pretty good over there too,
(25:00):
See, pier floors are going tobe reaching. Vacuuming is a little bit
more of an athletic adventure than standingin front of the sink. Perhaps I
felt like, look at him withthat movie Eadie bar the doors. Did
you have clothes on while you werevacuum? I did? I did well.
We do have a three and ahalf year old running around the house
(25:21):
with a lot of questions on hermind, A whole lot of questions you
don't want to have to answer.Eddie. Are you done now? Vinz?
That's yeah done. I think that'senough out of me. I think
we're done all right. Coming uphere in just a minute, you're on
a ten hour road trip. Pictureit, and you can only listen to
music from one artist. Who wouldyou pick? We'll find out more in
a minute. We've got a sunnyday, We've got tempts going to the
(25:42):
mid eighties. We're in the midsixties right now. Ninety three point one
WPOC that's Dustin Lynch. All right, guys, you're on a road trip
ten hours. There's only one artiston band and whatever that you can listen
to. When it comes to yourmusic on this trip, what do you
(26:04):
pick? I have the most basicanswer, the Beatles. I thought about
that, actually, right, Idid think about that because I get it.
Yeah, it makes sense fast, slow, Yeah, they have a
serious yeah. Yeah. So Iwent by the person I've seen the most
times in concert, So Todd Runggrentake out the song I want to bang
(26:30):
on the drum all day. Ialways hated that song, but he has
Yeah. Oh, I just usedto think really, out of all he
is terrible and there's so many greatsongs that he has. And I don't
know, I don't know. Itwasn't like I saw him twenty five times,
but I've probably seen him five times, and I think that's more than
anybody else I've seen in concert. And he just same thing. His emotions
(26:56):
run all over the place. Hehas poignant, be kind of just different.
I think I wouldn't get bored.So I'm going with Todd. What
about you, Sapee? Yeah,I mean I think my thought process and
this is very similar to the twoof you, and I would probably go
with Taylor Swift because I just feellike the variety of the music over time,
Like it wouldn't be just like you'relistening to the same song over and
(27:17):
over again. There's so much varietyin tempo, style like genre, and
she's got so much music out thereyou could probably listen to her for ten
hours and not repeat the same song. Well, that's that was big for
me too, So I looked itup and only a handful of artists have
recorded ten hours of music. It'syeah, approximately two hundred and fifteen songs.
Yeah, and even a lot ofthe artists that have recorded that,
(27:40):
I mean, it's kind of thesame thing, right, Like they have
a very similar sound to so muchof it that you're just kind of like,
all right, well, I mightget sick of you for ten hours.
I guess I was thinking too.If I was on a ten hour
road trip, chances are i'd bewith my husband. I don't think he
could do Taylor Swift for ten hours, that's fair. Well, my wife
could certainly do it. Yeah.Pretty much the only thing ever on in
my house, it's like Taylor Swiftwith the occasional Maren Morris mixed in.
(28:04):
All you gotta do is pop onsome Taylor stip. Just start vacuuming and
you'll she'll be happy. Right,You know how to make your weekend.
Right On the text line, somebodysaid Florida Georgia line okay, and then
somebody said a ten hour road tripdeserves Jimmy Buffett the whole time. Okay,
Yeah, that's a feel good thing. I'm gonna judge the Florida Georgia
line one. Just a ten hoursof that. I like them, don't
(28:26):
get me wrong, like they're goodin their place for me, but like
ten hours of that over, Yeah, I'd like to just sopt out of
the ten hour road kind of judge. Then I said, I'm gonna judge.
I am definitely judging. I'm sorryto that, Texter, but thank
you for participating in the show thismorning. I will put it up on
Facebook too. But if you wantto text us and tell us who you
(28:48):
could listen to for ten hours thenumber seven seven nine six to just start
with high er hey and let usknow who your hardist who pick. Somebody
said the Eagles, Okay, it'spretty good. Charlie Daniels, Yeah,
I'm judging that for me. Yeah, usually so Neon pretty good thing ninety
(29:15):
three point one w POC that is, lady A. Any texts on who
people are going to listen to ontheir ten hour road trip? Yeah,

(29:37):
you're in a very ziggy mood.I'm just in a good mood today,
feeling good. It's Friday. It'sjust feel good. Old I'm telling you
it's old Dominion's fault. That songgot me all up. This morning's good.
It's good. We'll play. Arewe playing every hour? Same year?
Yes, ma'am. Okay, sostay tuned. It's coming up again.
Let's see Dave Matthews band. Okay, Journey all Day. Oh yeah,
(29:59):
I don't know about but okay,if I could do ten hours to
reach their own Luke Bryan okay,Alabama, the Statler Brothers, you can
tell when we're all quiet. Yeah, Tim McGraw or the Juds. Okay,
another Garth Brooks. I might. It's a wide catalog too. There's
so much Garth Brooks, and Ithink anybody who we've played a lot I
(30:23):
would say no to just because wethat's fair, we've heard them all.
We also, yeah, we listenedto music a little bit differently because we
hear a lot of these songs overand over again. Yeah. Uh,
my daughter would say Old Dominion Okay, yeah, I get it, but
I and I wouldn't. She said, I wouldn't hate that, but it
better not be a Katie bar thedoor. See kind of road trip.
(30:45):
That's funny, that's cute. Soyeah, lots of We have a lot
of variety on our tam while peopleare thinking about road trips. I think
Garth Brooks has has won, thoughhe had four to five votes. All
right, I'll get it to guard. There's Tyler Hover Bad, when a

To stick around for that. AlanJackson set to receive yet another award the
Hall of Famer is going to behonored with the Chris Christofferson Lifetime Achievement Award
at the twenty twenty four Nashville SongwritersAwards ceremony. He'll be joining a very
(31:53):
small, elite group of country legendswho have received this honor over the years.
People like Loretta Lynn, Willie Nell, Bill Anderson, Garth Brooks,
and Bobby Braddock are the only otherartists who have had this award bestowed on
them, So definitely elite company there. Also, Jackson just became a grandfather
for the second time. His oldestdaughter Mattie, recently welcomed a baby boys,
so good news there in the AlanJackson family. During a recent interview,
(32:15):
Jelly Roll was asked which country artistshe would include in his presidential cab
that if he was running for office. He had a few names for some
interesting positions, like Lady Wilson,he said, to be chief of operations,
Miranda Lambert as Press Secretary Ashton McBrideto be chief of security, but
Kelsey Ballerini would be his chief ofstaff, and he said it's because he
thinks Kelsey is real level headed.Kelsey finally heard about this and was asked
(32:37):
about it. She sort of laughedit off, saying, I don't know
about that, But then she saidthat feels like I can be bossy,
which feels really fun. So Iwould love to be on his ballot.
And you know, given the currentstate of politics in this company wide run,
yeah, you never know. Heprobably went at this point a debate.
I'm ready for Jilly wil Where's therock? Hasn't he been talking about?
Need some fresh meat in New YorkCity's just a quick train ride away
(32:58):
or maybe a couple hour drive. But you may want to make a trip
there this summer because ABC's Good MorningAmerica has announced the return of its summer
concert series. The first show thissummer will be on July nineteenth with Caine

that show will also be in CentralPark. Then you get Megan Moroney

the Oriels had a good night lastnight. They crushed the Rangers in
the opening game of their four gameweekend series. Cirjric Mullins and Heston kurs
Dad led the way on the offense, while Corbyn Burns improved to nine and
three with the victory. The teamhas hit fifty seven home runs in the
month of June so far. That'sthe most the O's have ever had in
(34:05):
a month in team history, andthere's still a few days left, so
we see. Yeah, they havebeen definitely crushing the baseball this year.
They host the Rangers again tonight.Another good news for the O's they could

is kind of a cool story developinghere for the first time in history,
and there will be a father sonduo playing at the same time in the
NBA and it looks like they'll beteammates. Yeah, it's kind of cool.
(34:51):
Los Angeles Lakers used the fifty fifthpick of the NBA Draft to pick
Bronni James. He's the son ofLakers star Lebron James. This has long
been the conversation people have kind ofwonder while Lebron James is still hanging on
in the NBA and basically, hesaid he wanted to play with his son.
I guess he saw the opportunity thathis son might have in the NBA
and said, I can wait.I can keep playing for a few more
years and kind of do this.So we'll see what happens here. Bronnie
(35:14):
James has kind of taken some heatbecause he did one year of college.
Bond kind of had a less thanmediocre season at best. But when your
dad is Lebron James, you cankind of get whatever you want. I
suppose, so we may see somefun action on the court this year with
Lebron James and his son. Ithink that's kind of a fun story.
