Speaker 1 (00:00):
We got to talk about Tupperware going out of business.
If you haven't heard the kitchen at storage companies said
found it in nineteen forty six, it's crazy. And now
the lid has been sealed on an American consumer culture.
Months after Tupperware shuttered the last remaining plants in the US,
the company now has filed for bankruptcy. Huh, how could

(00:21):
we have a problem with tupperware?

Speaker 2 (00:23):
I don't know. That's crazy.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Analysts say the companies failed to connect with younger buyers.
What do you mean young people don't need tupperware.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Everyone needs supperware. They do, but you know, the more
places they go, like the container store, they have like
all these really cool looking.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Things like oh, I see it, you know, like old
I see.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
I think people are buying Yeah, I think that people
are buying that stuff like.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Bamboo, you know, like bamboo tupperware or whatever. But Tupperware
could escalate and sure do more things I don't even understand. Okay,
so maybe there's more companies you're saying that are competing
against the old school direct tupperware.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Yes, I've got like three or four different types of
tuperware from different places. But I also in the Topperware family.
I'm up to thirty six collars.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
What are you collect?

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Because every time you go to someone's house or your
mom's house, you get take the leftovers. That's true too,
although you it always goes in the Tupperware. Wait, it
could be.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Because everyone uses like the ziplock disposable, like the you know,
the little cheaper ones kind of the Oh yeah, you
use those until they just turn orange from your spaghetti.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
I just discovered those ziplock things. Those are kind of cool.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Yeah, maybe that's why. Plus, I don't know about you.
I just shove everything into a ziploc baggy. I don't
really worry about the two.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
I wonder if there's something Maybe there's something else that
Topperware could like a different line of something they could
do to you know, like bring their sales up, Like
I mean, is there a Toperware coffin?

Speaker 1 (01:49):
I don't know. Oh, Tupperware boo? What about Tupperware.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Boots right with like a plastic han lid?

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Oh tupperwear pant?

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Could you imagine like you know, the buttoners zip up.
Your can't say anymore, you just tupperware them up.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Tumperware doobtop Oh tupperware, bathing suits, and then it just
rolls into some sort of little carrying case where it
keeps it dry.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Tupperware you can make suit, You could make belts out
of recycled tupperware.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Superware, fil a tupperware car.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
It just bumps off of everything.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Oh my gosh, I like that chip. They need to pivot. Pivot.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
That's something they gotta figure out a way to get
new sales.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Oh god, I love this. All right, yes, all right,
we'll keep you up to date. But if you have
any other ideas for tupperware, let us know. And if
you're a younger buyer, please like hoop on it. We
can't lose tupperware, okay,
