Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're on board the Nautical Ventures Weekly Fisherman Show with
legendary fisherman Eric Brandon, an extreme angler Joe Hector, powered
by Mercury Marine, Go boldly.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
List of fish.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Let's make day, Holy Toledo.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
I got Brandy here with me and Eric is out
getting some kind of transition thing. He left us a statement.
But we're gonna have.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
A killer show.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
It's gonna be a lot of fun. Brandy, how's it going.
Speaker 5 (00:35):
It's going.
Speaker 6 (00:35):
You and I have only chatted when it comes to
me being filling in your chair over the headphone.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
So you're in the captain chair.
Speaker 5 (00:43):
I'm shocked that I'm sitting in this chair. I'm not
gonna lie. I'm on a disrespect I'm going to but no,
it's an honor to be here with you.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
Yeah, this is our first time meeting, like you said,
every person, and uh, yeah, we're gonna have a fun
show time.
Speaker 5 (00:55):
I'm excited. I'm really excited.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
Yeah. So first I saw a poet from Nautical Ventures recently. Okay,
and Holy Toledo. I know they were the number one
dealership because it's in the post, but in the whole country.
Speaker 5 (01:10):
Wow, that's Adventures.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
Yeah, they're literally the number one dealer in the whole
entire United States of America.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
And I just think that's so cool. I had to
mention that this.
Speaker 7 (01:20):
Show and from the top down, Roger More and the
whole crew is incredible.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Yeah, they're great. They're like a family.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
I've known Roger since I was a kid, and I
came in there with a crazy idea to start extreme
kayak fishing and he was like, I'm in man, let's
do this.
Speaker 6 (01:34):
But that's the reason why they're number one. It's the
two of you are already saying they're like family. So
when people walk in there, they feel like family, and
it makes people want to come back.
Speaker 5 (01:42):
But the fact that we have them here in our backyard,
it's awesome, amazing.
Speaker 7 (01:47):
And they also have the best toys on the planet.
I mean for a YACHTI or anybody, and not just
awesome boats but everything.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Yes, very cool, very cool. So I believe we have
Jimbo raiiting online.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
Is he he's there?
Speaker 8 (02:00):
Okay, Jim, It's.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
Joe and Brandy on the show.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Hi Jimbo, good morning.
Speaker 9 (02:12):
Good.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
That was a much better intro than what would come
on now.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
Yeah, Jim was not too thrilled.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
Please tell me it's not Joe.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
How's it going.
Speaker 10 (02:26):
It's going very good. How are you all? We're going
better than Eric. It sounds like yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
So we were talking.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
It was like a big shock because I didn't check
my phone yesterday afternoon and I thought Eric was doing it,
and then literally when I pulled in, I saw that
he wasn't able to. So I was just like, uh, okay,
let's do this. Here we go.
Speaker 6 (02:48):
And I thought you were gonna say, for a second, well,
I really did think he transitioned.
Speaker 7 (02:55):
Hold on, I actually have audio being sent from the
transition coming shortly.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
Well, we wish him the back, yve.
Speaker 6 (03:06):
But he didn't release a statement saying that he did
have a procedure and that.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
He's recovering fine.
Speaker 6 (03:11):
The procedure, I promise you, I have, I have the text,
I have the tea I promise.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
For Eric to give you a statement is epic in itself,
and Jimbo and I will make fun of him for
the rest of his life over that, of course, definitely
like his own post, that's a whole other thing. But Jimbo,
how's the fishing.
Speaker 9 (03:31):
My man?
Speaker 10 (03:32):
So we've had beautiful weather all week. Fishing has been
all right, not great. Last week it was really good,
but we had wind and breeze last week, and then
this week the weather gets really nice and the fishing
it's just so. So we are down at Ocean Reef Club.
We're fishing in their annual sailfish tournament, okay, and that
(03:53):
started on Wednesday, and it's sailfish only, so we are
in sailfish mode and we fished two days so far
and then today's the last day. We're not kicking any selfish,
but really we've caught two sails in two days.
Speaker 9 (04:12):
I think the.
Speaker 10 (04:13):
Top boat has about maybe ten or eleven something like that. Okay,
But but so it's a four day tournament, but you
fish three out of the four, so most of the
top boats have already fished are three days, so today
will be our third day and you pick one of
(04:33):
the days just to sit out late day or whatever
they call it.
Speaker 9 (04:37):
Right, So we gotta.
Speaker 10 (04:39):
We've got to do some sailfish rally in today. Looks
like it should be another beautiful day. Also mixed in
with a few sailfish bites, there's been an occasional kingfish,
occasional black fin tuna in a dolphin or two, but
they've been pretty scarce really, so it's been more sale
(05:01):
fish bice than anything. And for us, not a whole
lot of but for some of the guys they have
done pretty good. But again, beautiful weather. Yeah, it's you know,
sweet goes. You know, there's somebody's going to win, and
hopefully it's us, but we we got a lot of
catching up to do.
Speaker 5 (05:18):
Wait, I have a quick question though, how deeper question?
Speaker 10 (05:23):
So we were fishing.
Speaker 5 (05:25):
To ask that that's your line.
Speaker 10 (05:27):
That's a great question. Uh. So we have been fishing
anywhere from about ninety to two hundred feet, and we
have seen sales caught in ninety and I've seen them
caught in two hundred feet and the couple we've caught
in the last couple of days that one and two
(05:47):
hundred feet and one of them in about one hundred
and twenty five feet. But I sat in about ninety
feet for about two hours and I didn't get any
bites yesterday, so then I moved out a little deeper
and a boat that was in ninety feet caught one.
Speaker 9 (06:03):
Okay, So it's just the right place at the right time.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
Of course, of course, you know what's crazy is that
I think last week and we were talking about that
one boat had like forty something.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
They were right rolling through. It was nuts.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
So it just goes to show you, you know, you
never really know. I mean now it's just kind.
Speaker 10 (06:21):
Of nah, so no you don't. So yeah, like talking
might you never know. We really had been seeing any
dolphin for weeks. You know, you hear one, hear one
caught here and there. But then last Sunday everybody cost dolphins.
So Saturday were out there like no dolphin around Sunday
(06:44):
everybody called dolphins. They weren't like fit finding means, but
you know, boat sat anywhere from five to ten mahis,
but pretty much every boat had five to ten mahis.
And then they were just schoolies up to maybe ten pounds,
but they're still well most of them were just legal schoolies.
(07:06):
But still they were legal schoolies. And then Monday they're
gone again. So they showed up for one day. Where
they came from and where they disappeared to who knows,
but you'd never know. You know, today, they could those
the sale fish could be thick out there, the dolphin
could be you know, from one day to the next.
That's that's what keeps us going back out there. If
(07:28):
we knew exactly what we're going to catch every day,
you know, it wouldn't be so much fun.
Speaker 6 (07:33):
Well, today's your day. You had it back out, Today's
your day.
Speaker 10 (07:37):
It's got to be. It has to be our day.
Speaker 5 (07:40):
You've got to imagine the fish already on us.
Speaker 10 (07:43):
Thank positive. We're going to have a great time regardless,
but we'll have either a better time if we catch
a lot of fish.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Yeah, okay, all right, buddy, Well listen anything else. I
also heard there's been wahoo caught anything, but.
Speaker 10 (08:01):
I'm sure there have now in this tournament. They do
have a fun fish category and to my knowledge has
been no wile who's caught great and they're sixty boats fishing,
so uh but again we're nobody's trolling. You're gonna catch
more while who's trolling typically, but we do catch them
(08:21):
on the live baits, the boats fishing up up door trolling.
Maybe they have caught a few. I really haven't been
in contact with them since I've been done here all week. Okay,
so it's always a possibility.
Speaker 9 (08:33):
The wall who's could jump in the boat today. You
never know.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
Yeah, hey, and what your sales that are caught, you
get them all live bait.
Speaker 10 (08:41):
Yeah, it's I mean, you control for them, but you're
every everyone that's been caught has been on live bait. Yes,
not just by us, but by the whole fleet. We've
got Valley who's sardines, cigar, mendows, herrings, the couple. And
there's no kite fishing. Well, there is kite fishing, but
you get more points if you're not kite fishing, so
(09:04):
we have not been kite fishing some of the guys.
You get two hundred points if you catch it out
rigger fishing, and you get one hundred points if you're
kite fishing. So there have been both that have caught
ten or twelve sales, but they were kite fishing. So
(09:25):
you know, if we can catch four or five on
the outriggers, we can back up the say yeah, cool
like that. That's the object of the game.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
At least, sweet Jimbo.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
Well, sounds like a pretty decent report.
Speaker 4 (09:39):
You know, the sailfish is solid mahi or not existed
as always and uh, but there were mahi, but that.
Speaker 10 (09:45):
Was it's kind of basic standard report.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
Yeah, I like it, man, all right, brother, well we
appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
And uh we will talk I guess next week and hopefully.
Speaker 9 (09:57):
We'll be here next week.
Speaker 3 (09:58):

up next week.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
Got who's next? Corey Butt?
Speaker 26 (14:36):
Corey.
Speaker 5 (14:36):
Corey's on the line.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
All right, Cory, what's going on?
Speaker 13 (14:39):
My man?
Speaker 27 (14:42):
Oh?
Speaker 9 (14:42):
No, not too much.
Speaker 28 (14:43):
Hey you guys doing.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Oh you know, we're just living the dream. How's those
snake heads over there?
Speaker 9 (14:50):
Well?
Speaker 28 (14:51):
It was a it was a pretty good week to
start the week. We got in some well I fished
that pretty rainy day on Monday, and that was a
very good day for snakeheads. We got them up to
eleven and a half pounds and we got about twenty
We got about twenty five that day, eleven and a half.
Speaker 5 (15:15):
The rain is that what brings them out?
Speaker 28 (15:19):
Well, what usually happened. What usually happens is it's those
like overcast type days. You get those rainy, like low
light conditions. Those fish they have a lot a lot
of their like their eyes are like closer to the
top of their head. So a lot of times that
over that low light condition usually gets them really going,
especially like you get low pressure and barometric pressure drops
(15:41):
and those fish, you know, they really start feeding when
that water gets there, when you get that rain coming in,
so kind kind of like where they come from. They
come from like Thailand, Southeast Asia. When you get the
monsoon type weather, that really gets them activated a lot
of times, especially like top water.
Speaker 6 (16:00):
So if you see a monsoon outside, grab your pole
head out to catch a snake head.
Speaker 28 (16:06):
That is a good tip logs and no lightning, You're
you're good to go.
Speaker 3 (16:10):
I like it, Corey, I got a question.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
So I know there's different types of snakehead and I
was wondering, You're the guy to ask this, obviously, but
why don't we get the other species here?
Speaker 3 (16:23):
Would they survive the big one? You know, those big
ones with that are yeah, beautiful.
Speaker 28 (16:29):
Yeah, I've I've I've actually went to Malaysia. I've caught
those giants probably like four years ago. I went over
there and did that. But they they could definitely, they
could live over here if they got over here. I
just I don't I don't think they've just I don't
think they've ever which is I'm kind of surprised, but
I don't think any of them have ever been brought
here like like a pet, you know, because that's a
(16:51):
lot of times how these fish gets. You know, we
got all these dots here because they were somebody's pet
at some time and then they let it go. But
I just, yeah, I don't think they've ever been actually
brought to the state.
Speaker 9 (17:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (17:06):
Yeah, that's crazy, though, I mean, I mean, they would
they would survive, though, Yeah, I do.
Speaker 28 (17:13):
They're because they're they're very tropical. They're they're a tropical fish,
just like the bulls eyes we have here. I mean,
even the ones they have in Maryland, the northern and
the in the Potomac and stuff. They'd probably live down
here too, because I've had I've taken guys out and
uh you know, they said, yeah, they've caught him in
almost one hundred degree water temperature up there in Maryland
(17:33):
during the summer.
Speaker 29 (17:34):
Damn.
Speaker 28 (17:34):
So they could they could live down here if they
wanted to as well. So I'm spry. Yeah that that species, yes,
they're that northern snakehead is from like China. They're from China,
parts of Russia, so they can deal with that really
cold wow th cold winters so interest yeah, ours ours
(17:57):
can't though. They want to get to below fifty degree
water tank they they die off, they're done.
Speaker 5 (18:02):
There's snow fish they can get the cold.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
And I live in anything too. They're so hardy.
Speaker 5 (18:09):
Oh yeah, they're super hardy.
Speaker 9 (18:10):
Oh my gosh, that's yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:12):
Their air breathers, Yeah exactly.
Speaker 28 (18:14):
Yeah, air breathers. They can live in nasty you know,
not the greatest water quality.
Speaker 10 (18:18):
And yeah, you know that's so all right.
Speaker 4 (18:21):
Well, how about the how about peacock bass? How's that going?
Speaker 28 (18:26):
I I didn't really get out too much for them
this week. I I the one thing I did do
was I large amount I did large amouthed bass out
in the Everglades, which was that was solid. It wasn't
It wasn't anything crazy. We got fish up to four
and a half pounds, so I didn't really get into.
Speaker 9 (18:46):
The peacocks large mouth but it was kind of a.
Speaker 28 (18:48):
Mixed, mixed bag of stuff. We had some top water,
some you know, some plastic worms.
Speaker 9 (18:54):
You know.
Speaker 28 (18:54):
It was it was you know, slow fishing. You get
around redheads and stuff because fish aren't re spawning. But
we just we didn't get anything, nothing big, nothing big.
Speaker 6 (19:02):
So you're not alone on that. My husband went up
to the lake and had a horrible time. Yeah, he's
there's nothing that was biting at all. But the week
before everything was great.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 28 (19:11):
Yeah, yeah, they got the they got the bass Master
Elite series up there.
Speaker 5 (19:15):
Yes, they do so.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
And how about the large mouths. You said you were
getting some nice large mouths.
Speaker 28 (19:21):
Yeah, we get get him up to four and a half.
We didn't, We didn't get anything huge. I think we
got probably about thirty thirty five that day. We got
a bunch, but just nothing, nothing huge. So because usually
you're looking for this time, yere looking for some of
those big ones spawning. But sure, we just didn't just
didn't run into him that day. It was kind of
(19:42):
like we had we had dirty water and had to
go find clean water and it was so it was
kind of mixed bag. Once you find the clean water,
you started getting into fish.
Speaker 3 (19:51):
What do you use for for targeting like the large
large mouths.
Speaker 28 (19:56):
The big ones, Well, I you know when it's you
get a stable, warm pattern one date that I've caught
so many big ones on it as as a spro
hollow body for ag. That thing is unbelievable and that
thing's producing or if they're not hitting top water like
as they're spook too, that's another that's a really good
(20:18):
like a walk to dog bait. That's a good bait too.
A lot of giant fish or bath that I've caught
have been on a big plastic worm, like a twelve
inch worm. Yeah, just the old school, like a plum
like a like a june bug, or a plum like
a just a black and blue like a mimic of
(20:39):
blue deal.
Speaker 9 (20:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 28 (20:44):
You know it's funny that that like a trick worm
that does actually work very well.
Speaker 9 (20:53):
It actually.
Speaker 28 (20:55):
It actually does. It's a it's kind of a it's
well and it's surprising. And I've used ako that's got
like a pink and it's called Morning Dawn. It's pink
and purple.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
Morning and it's it.
Speaker 28 (21:08):
I did it a couple of years ago or two
years ago, and in central Florida I caught was one
day they wouldn't hit anything else but that bait. I
got a nine pounder and like thirty fish that day.
That bab it's pink, yep, it's yep, and it's something different,
something different.
Speaker 9 (21:25):
Nobody ever uses it.
Speaker 28 (21:27):
So that's kind of what you gotta think sometimes, something different,
out of the box.
Speaker 27 (21:30):
I like it.
Speaker 5 (21:31):
I like it out of the box.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
And what about snakeheads? I know I asked you this
question last week, But what's something different that you could
use that maybe people don't normally use for like targeting
the big snakeheads.
Speaker 28 (21:45):
Yeah, so the the big thing is like a Texas
rig crawdhead. Like it's your pitching and flipping like you
do for bass. Yeah, that's a great, great technique. That's
I a lot of the get fish I've ever caught,
and even records that I have caught. Our current record
that I do have, it was on that style. It
(22:06):
was on that bait okay, and uh, it's just very
just nobody used it and nobody nobody everybody's like top
ar top war, and I get it. It's pile of fun.
But that's a great that's a great bait. Spinner baits
pretty well known, but that's a that's a good one,
or a chatter bait like a vibrating jig, and then
rooster tail is a good bait too, Like are like
(22:28):
an inline spinner. That's just it something different that nobody
really ever uses.
Speaker 4 (22:35):
So what definitely what is that exactly? Like can you
explain the.
Speaker 28 (22:41):
So yeah, it's like it's it's it's really nothing fancy.
All it is is it's just like a it's a
it's it's got either like a treble hook where you
could put a single hook. It's kind of got like
a bead or like in the middle like a like
not a bead, but it's got like a it's hard
to explain. It's like a canister beat or something. It's
like a rattle almost, and it's got this big blade
on it and they use it for like muskie and
(23:03):
stuff like up North and it's just got this big
blade on it and that blade just creates all that
vibration and all that flash and that you know, it
attracts those snakeheads a lot of times.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
Cool.
Speaker 9 (23:15):
If you put the.
Speaker 28 (23:16):
Single, if you put the single hook, you can sometimes
put the like a trailer on their crowdedad or a
you know, like a grub tail, something with a lot
of action on it, and that attracts them a lot sweet.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
So okay, cool, And let me ask you real quick,
what's your uh, what's your world record now?
Speaker 3 (23:32):
Because you keep beating.
Speaker 28 (23:33):
Your Yeah, I've done it eight times, and fifteen and
a half is the record right now.
Speaker 5 (23:43):
So fifteen and a half on a snake head. That's amazing.
Where did you catch that one?
Speaker 9 (23:49):
Huge?
Speaker 28 (23:51):
It was in North Lardale, was in a It was
in a ditch on the side of the road that
I pulled up to one day, just on the way home,
and just the spot that I go to and I said,
let me stop on the way home, and.
Speaker 5 (24:05):
Its amazing.
Speaker 9 (24:07):
It's just timing.
Speaker 28 (24:08):
It's just you. You got a time it right a
lot of times.
Speaker 10 (24:10):
That's how good.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
Yeah, do you.
Speaker 5 (24:12):
Remember what you caught it on?
Speaker 9 (24:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 28 (24:15):
It was a it was a gambler lure. It was
a burner crawl. It was just a little crowd, aad
type bait and uh that bait just I've caught a
lot of big ones on that. I mean, any any craw.
Speaker 9 (24:31):
Bait will work.
Speaker 28 (24:32):
Any if it's got a lot of fluttering action, that's
what gets there. It gets their attention.
Speaker 5 (24:36):
But that was the one that day. That was the
one that day.
Speaker 4 (24:40):
W Well, Corey, listen, man, that was a stellar report,
my man. A lot of good information. And uh, I'll
tell you what since bringing you on recently or back on,
it's been awesome.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (24:54):
I actually made a small video clip and I had
so many people asking questions, uh, just from some of
the information that you you did give us last week.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
So I'm gonna make another one and just keep pushing
these out. So I'll tag you.
Speaker 28 (25:08):
Yeah, yeah, no, no problem, no problem.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
Thanks Corey.
Speaker 9 (25:13):

I love that I was a gypsy in a past

How's it doing?
Speaker 8 (30:25):
Eric took a day off, Eric Fisher or something.
Speaker 4 (30:28):
He's transitioning, he's recovering, recovery.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
I apologize.
Speaker 6 (30:33):
He did release a statement to me early late last night,
and he did ask that I read it that said
that he is recovering from a procedure.
Speaker 7 (30:44):
And we actually have audio coming from the transitioning store,
which we'll play coming up in theologist.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
Forgot something.
Speaker 9 (30:53):
That's what I want to hear.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
Oh boy, he's gonna kill me.
Speaker 36 (30:58):
Oh yeah, well I'll have to kill me birth I guess,
you know.
Speaker 4 (31:01):
Yeah, because I said it, that's said. All right, I
get blamed.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
So how's uh, how's the fishing, my man?
Speaker 36 (31:09):
Well, you know, we're reward fishing fleet downtown Miami. We
got a fifty six in the seventy foot boat there
for all comers fish. Uh, you know, half day trips
every day pretty much, and night trips are just now
starting to crack. I could talk to you about a
couple of things. We got our smaller boats in the shipyard.
We did a big facelift and Coast Guard inspections and
the Feds all love us, so we're.
Speaker 9 (31:30):
All good to go.
Speaker 36 (31:31):
We'll be back with that doing our special Jiggen trips
and iron Man all day trips. And we got Group
of Season coming up May first, and we pound that
a little bit. And uh, you know, we try to
stay on top of on the front edge of a
lot of kinds of fishing. You know, I'm a party boat,
a party boat owner, but you know I'm I was.
I was kind of trained being a sea wall jumper,
(31:51):
snook fisherman, bridge fishermen, you name it, beaches, jetties, the
whole bit, light tackle. I mean, I pretty much found
the and I know I did twenty some years ago.
I found the African popino fishery out here off Miami,
and I had a bunch of guys come down and
I caught them. Cool world record, Uh, African pompinos on
like four pounds, six pounds, eight pound. Yeah, check your
(32:12):
record book.
Speaker 17 (32:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (32:15):
The biggest one, Yeah.
Speaker 36 (32:16):
The biggest one we got for a lady was thirty
eight and change on eight pounds. Uh yeah, So anyway,
I did all that cool stuff. But I love party
boats because I like people, and uh we use our
boats for We got live wells and all kinds of
cool stuff. Anyway, what's going on now? We had a
couple of beautiful afternoons this week where we got mobbed
by nice small gaffer dolphin, which is a treat.
Speaker 9 (32:38):
You know.
Speaker 36 (32:39):
I love stupid fishing, man, you know, it's just such
a treat. You know, hit the water was nothing, fancy,
hit the water with something, man, bend over.
Speaker 5 (32:48):
I think of your next boat. Stupid fishing.
Speaker 4 (32:50):
I love it.
Speaker 9 (32:51):
Fish.
Speaker 37 (32:52):
I like that.
Speaker 8 (32:52):
Well, that's one of my other you know I've done.
Speaker 36 (32:54):
I spent fifty years bottom fishing off Miami, and my
one of my first sayings is it deeper to fish
the stupid they are, so you don't need the floro
and all that crack and flash lights and what do
you say those fish with star if they had to
wait for something to have a light on it to eat?
Speaker 9 (33:09):
Come on?
Speaker 36 (33:09):
So, I mean there's some basic facts about fishing. I'm
your basic fact dude.
Speaker 26 (33:14):
You know.
Speaker 36 (33:14):
I like that a whole lot of yeah, a whole
lot of crazy new new ideas out here, because those
fish haven't changed, and it takes them a long time
to change anyway.
Speaker 4 (33:23):
So you were getting a lot.
Speaker 11 (33:27):
Yeah, we had a couple of days in a row.
Speaker 9 (33:28):
Yeah, they mobbed us.
Speaker 36 (33:29):
We hooked hooked five, six, seven at a time, and
big and there's there, you know, small gaffers, you know
for six pounds, five pounds, sevens, you know whatever, you know,
just right in there.
Speaker 9 (33:39):
You can swing them.
Speaker 36 (33:40):
You can swing them or you can get them. You know,
they're well over legal. And that's the cool thing about it.
So great eating fish. I actually had dolphin twice last week.
I cooked it twice. I said to the boys, I said, guys,
hit me up for some filazer and because I hadn't
run the boat last week, just everybody else to it.
So so that's a good potential. I will tell you
this time of the year coming up, all you guys
(34:01):
that are live baters out there that do the kite
fishing and stuff, I'd start fishing just the last three
or four hours. It can be ridiculous the difference these
next couple of months coming up.
Speaker 9 (34:13):
I'm not kidding you.
Speaker 36 (34:14):
The late late afternoon fishing when everybody's already gone home,
and I already sucking down the beers. I'm telling you
I can if you know who Quinton is. Quinton Dieterle's
one of the best sale fisher went out there. We
had a day out there by the Seapwey a few
years ago where he and I were sitting out there
and we said, yah, let's just hang around.
Speaker 4 (34:34):
We'll see what happens.
Speaker 36 (34:35):
In an hour, I think we had eight or ten
sales each and we saw a hundred free jumping. They
just know, they were going crazy. They were everywhere, and
I thought, man, this is nut. So I ran a
whole bunch of more late afternoon trips after that, and
they were all phenomenal.
Speaker 9 (34:49):
And you go out there with a wall fall of bait,
everybody's gone home.
Speaker 36 (34:52):
You start chumming. And then of course also you got
the black pintunas were late afternoon, they're going to come
right up on top of the reef, yep. And if
you got you got chum with pilchers and stuff, Man,
you can knock them out. So that's a that's a
good thing coming up.
Speaker 4 (35:06):
But can I tell you whatane, I got to tell
you that the biggest blackfin I ever caught was dusk
fishing was going out like right before sun's.
Speaker 9 (35:14):
Gotta go, then you have to go. Then that's that's
their thing man.
Speaker 6 (35:17):
And time changes next week, remember that, Yes, Sunday time changes,
so you can actually stay out longer even too, wow,
to get that better dusk bite as well.
Speaker 10 (35:26):
Well.
Speaker 36 (35:26):
Last year, last year we did a we did a
bunch of just afternoon tune of trips and we get
guys vertical jack and we go out to we'd go
out I call it Mount Kipness. We got our own
man made hump out here off off off the seago
e five hundred feet and it comes up to three
thirty five and a lot of times late in the
afternoon there's nobody out there. Well, you know, Bouncer Smith
and I had it to ourselves for a bunch of years,
(35:47):
and you know, nothing's forever, and it's fine. You know,
we weren't trying to hold stuff back, but we're fishing,
you know, and that's all right. So I actually I
had guys last year when I pulled up out there
yelling at me for getting coming to their spot.
Speaker 26 (36:00):
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 27 (36:02):
No, it's unfortunate, it's unfortunate.
Speaker 36 (36:04):
Yeah, yeah, And we kind of we developed that fishery
going out there with the wells fall bait chumming and
chumming the tune is up, and having four or five
six big sharks around the boat chasing the tune is
at the same. Let me say nothing like that for
fifteen to twenty minutes of craziness. For you know, if
you get eight or ten terraces on the boat, four
or five regulars or whatever it is, it's it's intense,
you know, to get.
Speaker 9 (36:25):
Out there to see that.
Speaker 4 (36:26):
Yeah, screen, get it up. I love it.
Speaker 36 (36:31):
Yeah, following the fish, you know, Chris crossing the lines
and you know, you know, we just a lot.
Speaker 5 (36:37):
Of fun man to me, like I feel like right,
well yeah, absolutely, yeah.
Speaker 36 (36:42):
Well, if you've never seen a party boat, seeing it takes.
If you learn how to fish on a party boat,
you fish on anything, man, right, and it's it's it's
a lot of fun.
Speaker 4 (36:51):
It is a lot of fun.
Speaker 9 (36:52):
So that's what we do.
Speaker 36 (36:53):
And if you wanted to have that those any of
you folks want those opportunities, I think afternoons at best shot.
But watch Facebook, uh word fishing fleet. We're gonna be
posting so many specialty trips and I run a lot
of those, so awesome. Right, Remember if you got a
kid thirteen or undred, they fish for free, but you're
gonna pay double.
Speaker 4 (37:12):
Hey, I'm bringing I told you I'm bringing. I'm bringing
me up. We're gonna We're gonna do it. Man, it's
gonna be a lot of fun.
Speaker 9 (37:18):
Please do please go a day like this like this.
Speaker 5 (37:23):
Thank you Wayne.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
And now we got.
Speaker 11 (37:32):
Brother, good, good, good. Hey, who's blowing bubbles today?
Speaker 3 (37:39):
It's you know, I'm always gonna blow bubbles for you,
my man.
Speaker 11 (37:44):
I heard listen, I heard Eric's not here, So let's
let's let's give him some stuff. Okay, come on, Eric,
you should have been here. You know I had a
whole back of lobsters.
Speaker 4 (37:57):
You know, all right, I'm here instead.
Speaker 11 (38:02):
Here's the deal. Here's the deal. We have one more
month left of lobster season, and it's been phenomenal.
Speaker 9 (38:10):
We were out last Sunday off of Londonail by.
Speaker 16 (38:13):
The Sea.
Speaker 11 (38:15):
And again shallow stuff forty ft forty foot And actually
on Thursday, I was out with my buddy Marshall, who
owns Meiser Marina in Deerfield Beach, and we were off
of Popino, same thing, thirty five forty feet and crushed him.
(38:36):
It was one and done. One in that we got
one one limit, you know, our limit, our limit in
one dive. And then I was on a boat with
Julie Hicks, world famous Julie Hicks spearfishing. If you really
want to watch some videos about her spearfishing two pounds
(39:00):
yellowfin tuna's I mean in Rica, I mean unbelievable, buddy, unbelievable.
This is not using you know, bait and rods and reels.
Speaker 38 (39:13):
This is literally spearing.
Speaker 11 (39:18):
Yellowfin tuna.
Speaker 9 (39:21):
Think.
Speaker 3 (39:22):
I don't even know how you would underwater without it, exactly, absolutely.
Speaker 11 (39:33):
The lines attached to a big booie and you basically
you wear the fish out and come and pull it
up and put it in the boat. Uh usually something
like that. They'll put a second shaft in them, right,
But yeah, it's craziness. Uh and uh, pretty pretty cool stuff.
(39:58):
But I was dying with her. It was just fun
watching her. She shot a nice twenty four inch Martin snapper.
So they're in shallow as well. Okay, again, we can't.
We cannot catch grouper, you know, spirits, free grouper, all
hall fish, not until the first so but boy, conditions
(40:18):
have been good, seventy four degrees probably fifty plus foot visibility, visibility,
gentle south current. It's been nice, man. The conditions are good.
And and we're going out today. We're going out?
Speaker 8 (40:34):
Why not?
Speaker 17 (40:35):
Right?
Speaker 5 (40:35):
Oh heck, it's a beautiful day. The weather's supposed to
be fantastic all weekend long.
Speaker 9 (40:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
And just to be clear, so grouper season starts on
the first right.
Speaker 5 (40:44):
Which is today, mark first of May.
Speaker 11 (40:47):
May, two more months, so.
Speaker 3 (40:50):
Eric can have his fit.
Speaker 6 (40:52):
I was gonna say, normally he like has like a
big problem when you guys know the brain, total brain.
Speaker 11 (40:58):
Yeah, well that's why K's problem. That's not my problem.
Speaker 5 (41:03):
We have a question though Stephen asked it earlier.
Speaker 6 (41:05):
When she's down in the water and she catches these
fish two hundred pounders, what happens to like like the
sharks that are you know, swimming around you know, like,
are they coming after that or somebody in a boat
grabbing them off?
Speaker 11 (41:20):
No, the sharks are not as plentiful in Costa as
they are off here. But still, uh, you've got to
pay attention. So your buddy, your your buddy who who
has a spear gun? We'll kind of fend them off,
send them off? Is shark fencing. Shark fencing is is
(41:41):
the is?
Speaker 6 (41:44):
You know, I wouldn't be honest with you guys. I
would really have to be particular about who my buddy
is in the water with another I'm going to tell
you now, if Eric Brandon was in the.
Speaker 5 (41:53):
Water, he would not be my spirit.
Speaker 11 (41:59):
Her breath, holding her breath, going down, shooting the yellow
fin tuna, and then coming back to get another breath.
Speaker 4 (42:09):
She's free diving.
Speaker 12 (42:10):
She's free diving. She's not scuba diving.
Speaker 5 (42:13):
You didn't say that earlier. So she's free diving. No
flowing bubbles, And can I ask how far down is
she going?
Speaker 11 (42:23):
Normally she's very comfortable at about sixty feet. She can
go down to ninety or one hundred.
Speaker 9 (42:30):
Yeah, these people incredible.
Speaker 11 (42:33):
You got to be trained properly. Take how long can
she is out there that I advocate?
Speaker 4 (42:39):
Chief?
Speaker 9 (42:39):
Chief?
Speaker 12 (42:40):
How long can she hold her breath?
Speaker 9 (42:42):
A couple of minutes?
Speaker 11 (42:43):
Yeah, she's got very good, good skills, but you got
to really pay attention and your buddy, uh, you know,
needs to watch what you're doing so they help you.
Speaker 1 (42:53):
Uh.
Speaker 11 (42:53):
There's a thing called shallow water blackout. That's why, like
even Julie Higgs took took classes how to do it. Okay,
So it's it's not like, hey, I'm going to watch
some YouTube videos and let's go and do it right. Right, Absolutely,
you really need to get trained.

Speaker 9 (52:15):
Well, I've seen his videos lately and the stuff he's
shown on them. I don't know how the statement is
going to be.
Speaker 6 (52:20):
I know, well, that's probably why he wanted to release
the statement, but it said please just use this.
Speaker 5 (52:27):
Abe had some routine surgery and is recovering. Thank you.
Speaker 9 (52:33):

God love you, So, Sean.
Speaker 4 (53:02):
House to fish in my man?
Speaker 9 (53:04):
Uh So, I fished all day yesterday and without a bike.
Oh so we're doing a tournament today. We came up
to West Palm and uh Okay, we'll see what happens.
Speaker 4 (53:14):
So you just left popping all together. You're like, I'm
done with it.
Speaker 12 (53:18):
Often does that.
Speaker 7 (53:19):
Happen to you Sean where you just get nothing at all?
You're totally skunked.
Speaker 9 (53:23):
Oh man, not even a barracuda. It's pretty rare. But
I didn't even get a bike.
Speaker 5 (53:30):
Why do you think that is?
Speaker 9 (53:32):
Though?
Speaker 4 (53:32):
Like what you think?
Speaker 12 (53:33):
No fish Friday? I guess for him?
Speaker 9 (53:36):
Yeah, no fish Friday. It's a highway out there. The
fish migrate through and they haven't made it down yet.
Speaker 5 (53:43):
Oh man, how sucking traffic?
Speaker 4 (53:45):
How about?
Speaker 3 (53:48):
I heard they were getting a lot of my he
and stuff. I guess like last week?
Speaker 4 (53:53):
How was that?
Speaker 9 (53:54):
Have you? You know, when they each wind blows hard,
they'll come in and people will get them right right yesterday?
Speaker 4 (54:01):
Oh man?
Speaker 3 (54:02):
Any reports right now? You guys get a bite or
anything yet? Have you started?
Speaker 9 (54:06):
What line's in is at seven o'clock?
Speaker 2 (54:09):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (54:09):
You're doing the tournament?
Speaker 9 (54:11):
The tournament? Yeah, the Kingfish Tournament.
Speaker 3 (54:13):
Ah okay, okay. How's how's king fishing in general?
Speaker 4 (54:18):
Is it decent?
Speaker 32 (54:19):
Or?
Speaker 2 (54:19):
You know?
Speaker 9 (54:20):
Down our way? I haven't really seen any yet, but
from boyting up there's them a good.
Speaker 3 (54:23):
Bite so okay, any big ones?
Speaker 9 (54:26):
See yeah, I think in a Jamie's tournament in the
meat size and they got a fifty three pounds or
fifty eight pounds something like that.
Speaker 4 (54:34):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (54:35):
Yeah, any wahoo anything like that.
Speaker 10 (54:38):
I didn't.
Speaker 9 (54:39):
I don't think there is even a wahoo caught in
Jamie's tournament. That could be wrong.
Speaker 3 (54:43):
But man, what is going on?
Speaker 5 (54:46):
Something's in the water?
Speaker 9 (54:47):
Yep?
Speaker 3 (54:48):
Yeah, And I heard the sail fishing has been lately.
Speaker 27 (54:52):
Oh.
Speaker 9 (54:52):
I mean there was the epic fight last weekend where
they called fourteen fish in two days. But yeah, but
cold front left it just shut down.
Speaker 2 (55:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (55:01):
Yeah, that's crazy.
Speaker 6 (55:02):
Do you think it's the cooler weather because I feel
like it's cooler late, like longer, like it hasn't been
as hot and humid.
Speaker 9 (55:09):
Yeah, when it's warm for a couple of weeks and
then we get a cold front and sparks the the bite, right,
but then after that it just goes back to normal
winter time.
Speaker 4 (55:20):
And the pressure and all that stuff involved that, you know,
and then you know, we got the Exotic bass round
up coming up.
Speaker 3 (55:27):
You're getting ready for that? Are you gonna be able
to fish it?
Speaker 2 (55:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (55:31):
I'll be able to fish that one. My wife's came
in Fisher too defend your championship.
Speaker 3 (55:35):
Oh okay, you know Sean's wife actually won that tournament.
Speaker 5 (55:40):
Good for her, that's amazing.
Speaker 4 (55:42):
I love it. She kicked butt man girl power, I know,
and she killed it that day. She also got didn't
she get a bigger peacock bass? Uh from?
Speaker 9 (55:51):
Yeah? She could have won that tournament two three times
ever that day.
Speaker 4 (55:56):
That is insane, insane. Well, the good thing is we're
gonna add I think more to the Snakehead Division or well,
we're thinking about making some a little change here and there,
but I think the Snakehead Division is gonna be pretty big.
And I've been talking with the owner of Drave and
he makes lures and fishing equipment stuff like that, and
(56:18):
oh yeah, I know them.
Speaker 9 (56:19):
Well, he does a lot with the RB tackle the.
Speaker 3 (56:22):
Guys exactly exactly.
Speaker 4 (56:24):
So I think we're going to add to that and
make that like a bigger part, a side part of
the of the tournament.
Speaker 3 (56:31):
So we're excited about that. We're excited about.
Speaker 4 (56:34):
The extreme season coming up and the summer Slams looking
really good, Sean, so we've been yeah, yeah, I think
that's gonna be big so all right, brother, well today, Yeah,
good luck in the tournament. Let me know how you
do and post some videos.
Speaker 9 (56:50):
Yeah, we'll do. Man, have a good one, guys. Thank you.
Speaker 3 (56:52):
All right, thanks Sean.
Speaker 4 (56:54):
All Right, so we're a little early because Sewan's report
was kind of you know, but.
Speaker 6 (56:59):
It seems like everybody we're chatting to today hasn't had
really a lot of luck out on the water.
Speaker 5 (57:04):
Yeah, you know, we gotta find out why.
Speaker 6 (57:07):
I think we need to do like an experiment here
and like figure out what exactly is happening here.
Speaker 4 (57:12):
Yeah, we should get some like Bunker Beekerts out and
we'll do like a the whole thing.
Speaker 5 (57:19):
But everybody that we've talked to has had a hard
time on the water this week.
Speaker 9 (57:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (57:23):
Rough.
Speaker 5 (57:24):
Everybody's been rough.
Speaker 6 (57:25):
Yeah, they said though the first Monday when it rained,
they all had some luck, and then after that it's
kind of just kind of gone on the downside.
Speaker 4 (57:32):
What's really kind of strange is that like that little
spike they had in the Mahi bite and then it
just kind of died again.
Speaker 3 (57:39):
So it was like one spike they did.
Speaker 4 (57:42):
Okay that or I think it was like two days
from what Wayne was saying, and then it just kind
of dropped. But I mean at least well even no,
actually even Corey said with the peacocks it was slow.
Speaker 6 (57:54):
The only person I'm sorry I name that just lost
was the party boat, he said, the easy Wait wait,
that was it. He's the only one that's really had
success out there. But I mean outside of that, everybody
else is struggling this week. Guys, today's a day. Today's day.
Speaker 5 (58:08):
We're going to turn this all around.
Speaker 6 (58:10):
Everybody who's headed out on the water for a tournament,
I'm putting out good vibes for you.
Speaker 5 (58:15):
Oh yeah, today's a day. You're going to catch him big.
Speaker 4 (58:17):
Well, hopefully Benny will have a better report for us.
I mean, I've known Benny for a long time.
Speaker 5 (58:23):
He's You're putting all your faith in Benny.
Speaker 4 (58:25):
I'm putting everything into Ben and the Jets. Well unfortunately
he's a Jets fan.
Speaker 5 (58:29):
But yeah, we're sorry Benny. It's okay.
Speaker 3 (58:33):
It's like a one legged like dog or puppy. You know,
you're like, oh, I look at that little thing.
Speaker 6 (58:37):
He's the guy though, that now the guy. Now, can
I ask what is his specialty when it comes to fishing?
Speaker 4 (58:43):
So Benny owns a whole bunch of charter boats okay,
and he's got a little fleet going on. And Benny,
Benny is like one of those all around fishermen.
Speaker 12 (58:54):
After this.
Speaker 4 (58:56):
Coming right now, so we'll talk to Benny right after
live on Fox Sports.

There's no doubt about it, guys. He's a rabia legend
in South Florida. I grew up listening to him, you know,
at the ripe old age of two. And here I
am being able to sit in his chair complete honor
as I fill in for him, because he is recovering
from a little procedure that he had.
Speaker 5 (01:03:32):
So we wish him the best.
Speaker 4 (01:03:34):
So tell us about quickly if we can that long. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:03:40):
Well, no, he's one of those people that, like you
just fall in love with him, There's no doubt about that.
Speaker 5 (01:03:45):
But he's also a pain in the.
Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
So I always try to hug him, like I try
to give him a home.
Speaker 4 (01:03:52):
But you hugged me, right, guys.
Speaker 12 (01:03:53):
We have video of him, by the way, Oh we do.
Speaker 4 (01:03:56):
Let's see.
Speaker 5 (01:03:57):
I got to see this, oh video of of e
b Where's he at? Where is he at?
Speaker 4 (01:04:02):
Where's our buddy?
Speaker 12 (01:04:03):
He's recovering.
Speaker 4 (01:04:04):
Hold on, let me check this out.
Speaker 5 (01:04:06):
He is totally recovering.
Speaker 4 (01:04:08):
Can I see?
Speaker 26 (01:04:09):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (01:04:09):
There he is there.
Speaker 38 (01:04:10):
He is Eric.
Speaker 5 (01:04:12):
God love Eric Brandon.
Speaker 6 (01:04:13):
But no, he has got a bird. He's got a
big heart, a big heart for ladies. That's probably why
you won't hug you. I I have no idea what
they're looking at, so I I can't join it on
the fund.
Speaker 5 (01:04:26):
Oh my gosh, it.
Speaker 4 (01:04:26):
Looks just like your bird.
Speaker 5 (01:04:29):
She's got a bird a bird. But no, we wish
him well.
Speaker 4 (01:04:32):
We we love you, so we got so we got
my man. I've known this guy a long time, Benny.
How's he going, brother?
Speaker 9 (01:04:46):
Pretty good? Pretty good.
Speaker 37 (01:04:48):
I don't know where you guys are talking about Eric missing.
He's over here in the Bahamas.
Speaker 9 (01:04:51):
With me right now.
Speaker 5 (01:04:52):
I thought that he could be.
Speaker 37 (01:04:54):
I have told you guys, he got some Uh he's
over your party, ended.
Speaker 9 (01:04:57):
Up with us.
Speaker 4 (01:04:58):
Believable.
Speaker 5 (01:04:59):
Wow, seep hole dancing last night.
Speaker 3 (01:05:02):
Of course that's what he does.
Speaker 5 (01:05:04):
Hey, guys, come on, you make Caine dancing.
Speaker 9 (01:05:07):
Benny.
Speaker 12 (01:05:08):
Are you in that blue water Bahama situation right now?
Speaker 9 (01:05:11):
Man?
Speaker 37 (01:05:12):
Blue water Bahama situation? No, I haven't heard about any situations.
We came over here yesterday doing some fishing, caught some tunas,
caught some snappers, just having a good time with some
buddiestuation today have going on there?
Speaker 5 (01:05:28):
Where are the Bahamas are you?
Speaker 9 (01:05:31):
Well?
Speaker 37 (01:05:31):
We were in Bimini yesterday. Today we're in Lukaya, but
we're about to cross back over to the States.
Speaker 10 (01:05:35):
Now.
Speaker 3 (01:05:36):
Oh you're in port Lykaya man, Okay.
Speaker 37 (01:05:38):
All right, yeah, over right here where the kayak tournament
used to be. I saw some familiar faces.
Speaker 4 (01:05:43):
Really did you? Did you say hi?
Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
Like from did they remember you?
Speaker 9 (01:05:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 37 (01:05:50):
Yeah, there was a few people who did. I actually
saw a guy in Bimini who remembered me. He said,
I met you and Lukaya one time.
Speaker 9 (01:05:56):
I said.
Speaker 37 (01:05:56):
The only time I was ever there was for a
kayak fishings ornament and at the time that was the case.
He said, yeah, I used to work for the kayak tournament.
Guy like he used to help you out, he said,
I forgot his name.
Speaker 10 (01:06:06):
Oh Luther made again.
Speaker 9 (01:06:07):
Man, Oh wow, it could have been.
Speaker 4 (01:06:10):
It could have been a little backstory. So we for
four years we did a tournament in Portla Kaya, Okay,
and Benny was part of it and every I mean yeah,
we went down. I mean it was it was such
a blast.
Speaker 5 (01:06:21):
If they remember your name in the Bahamas, that means
something happened.
Speaker 4 (01:06:25):
I don't want to know the story. Yeah, well there
was a lot that happened, especially on the back end.
Speaker 9 (01:06:30):
There were some stories.
Speaker 4 (01:06:31):
Oh yeah, lots of stories.
Speaker 3 (01:06:33):
But so, speaking of stories, Bennie, how's how's the fishing.
Speaker 37 (01:06:38):
Yeah, so fishing locally, he's been a little better. I
mean I know every week we've been telling you it's
been getting a little better and better since really our
last cold front, or i'd say about a month ago
when the bite was real slow. From then till now
is like a night and day difference. There's been a
lot of days we're getting some good current and we're
getting some good fish passing by, and it seems like
the days where we don't have as much current, it's
(01:06:58):
still kind of tough. You know, you could still get
out there and get a couple of random wahoos. You know,
they've been pushed in shallow if you've got the blue
water pushed in shallow, just like the sailfish lately, So
tho's been the hot topic always for the winter months,
especially with the wahoos around the full moons. And I mean,
we've got a few kings starting to trickle in. I've
seen a few random tunas get caught. So you know,
(01:07:19):
a few weeks here things will start shaping up and
you'll see everybody talking about springtime fishing is here, and
you know that should start trickling in here in the
next week or two.
Speaker 4 (01:07:30):
Any size to the black fan.
Speaker 37 (01:07:33):
So now, I haven't been seeing any bigger black fans myself.
Yet I did see a few random ones caught. I
think I saw the Deep Blue guys get a really
nice black fan recently on a live bat so And
they're not in any sort of pattern yet, but you know,
you could definitely get lucky, you know, pattern with the
tunas right now in the Bahamas, them tunas are thick,
(01:07:55):
you guys, get over there running around the time of
the year where they're going to start showing up really good.
Now seems like they're already here.
Speaker 6 (01:08:01):
So this week going to scale from one to ten?
Ten being the best is what is the scale for
you out on the water.
Speaker 37 (01:08:08):
So like ten being like full on springtime hot action fishing.
Speaker 10 (01:08:13):
We're still only.
Speaker 37 (01:08:14):
At like a four. Okay, we're not even halfway there yet, Yeah,
I mean, I think that's the only reason I'm up
to a four is because of a sale fish in
the Waho's right right.
Speaker 3 (01:08:25):
And has there been any wahoo being caught around or yeah?
Speaker 37 (01:08:29):
Yeah, the wahoo has been very random. I got one
the other day. I think last time I spoke to y'all,
I caught a few the day after those. Seems like
I get lucky the day after I talk to you guys,
so tomorrow I'll probably have a killer day.
Speaker 4 (01:08:40):
Today, we sprinkle that ferry dust all. Yeah, and I
kind of want to change tune a little bit to football.
What's going on with you guys, because I heard so
ESPN reported that you guys are maybe open to trading
up to the first picking the draft with the Titans.
(01:09:01):
Did you see that.
Speaker 37 (01:09:03):
I've seen that. I've seen them talking about cam Ward
has visited the Jets already. He's not my favorite prospect
for an NFL quarterback. I loved him in Miami. I'm
a big Miami fan. I wasn't happy with how he
bailed on us in the Bowl game where I think
we could have won. But I mean, if he comes here,
I'll feel the same way I did with Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 9 (01:09:22):
I'm not the I'm not the biggest fan of the move,
but I'll support it. I'm a Jets fan, unfortunately for life.
Speaker 46 (01:09:28):
Some stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:09:31):
Jets Joe, all right, Benny listen man, have fun in
the Bahamas.

Speaker 27 (01:15:32):
All right, so listen, let's get to this.
Speaker 5 (01:15:35):
Okay, you're my kind of guy. Norm. You just get
you don't you cut to the chase.
Speaker 4 (01:15:41):
Let's do this?
Speaker 27 (01:15:44):
Oh you don't want to say something like that about
a guy like me.
Speaker 26 (01:15:48):
All right, So.
Speaker 27 (01:15:50):
The fish was really good this week.
Speaker 49 (01:15:53):
Red hot ah Saturday, Sunday, Monday was just red hot
selfish everywhere.
Speaker 27 (01:16:01):
It was even a blue marlin caught in four hundred
feet out front. Oh yeah. And then uh, and then
it laid down. The sword guys got off shore.
Speaker 49 (01:16:14):
The sword fishing was pretty good off shore once the
weather laid down, and there was some decent swords caught.
Big Roy Luke Hart caught himself with two sixty two
and yep, so there was some really good fish caught.
Speaker 27 (01:16:29):
And then Wednesday, Thursday, inshore just just died.
Speaker 8 (01:16:34):
I mean it died.
Speaker 9 (01:16:35):
There was just nothing going on.
Speaker 49 (01:16:37):
Then they went back, you know, guys had to go
back to bottom fishing and catching uh you know, catching
the familion.
Speaker 27 (01:16:44):
Snappers right to make a day of it.
Speaker 49 (01:16:48):
But I mean that that's the weekend through really Wednesday
was just unbelievable fishing. I mean, double digits days on sales.
Wahoo's black men, a few black men too. There's a
few mahis. I mean it's just you know, kingfish, not
kingfish up to the north, but not not too many
(01:17:11):
out front right here.
Speaker 27 (01:17:13):
It was just excellent, excellent, excellent, nice.
Speaker 41 (01:17:16):
Man.
Speaker 6 (01:17:16):
Wow, when you say up north, I'm sorry, I'm gonna
ask questions, you know, because when you say up north,
like how far north are we going?
Speaker 26 (01:17:24):
You know, pomp Ando area?
Speaker 4 (01:17:25):
Okay, norm, I got to hear more about this marlin.
So what was the story with it? Was there any
kind of story with it?
Speaker 49 (01:17:32):
Or yeah, real work charter boat out of fishing headquarters.
I was trolling out four hundred feet of water and
blue marlin came up and ate a a blue and
white seawitch or a value I guess.
Speaker 4 (01:17:50):
Oh wow, man, nuts, And you know, it's refreshing getting
your report because a lot of the reports have been.
Speaker 5 (01:17:57):
Yeah, you're one of the best. That's yeah, that's saying
that they had a good week.
Speaker 49 (01:18:01):
Yeah, because the fishing was absolutely red hot straight through Wednesday,
from Saturday, from from last week's report Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday,
and then it started ONDNESD it was just okay, and
then last two days Thursday Friday was was atrociously poor.
Speaker 5 (01:18:25):
Well, you've been a lucky guy this week.
Speaker 10 (01:18:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:18:27):
How about the how about mahi? Any big mahi?
Speaker 49 (01:18:32):
There were some mixed in mostly on the kite, not
not not any big ones, So it's not as far
as I can see.
Speaker 4 (01:18:39):
Okay, Yeah, I'm wondered about the mahi because that Marlin,
because you're the one that always said they're coming in
and they're they're eating those those small mahi mahi.
Speaker 49 (01:18:49):
Yeah, it's really more of a more of a spring
and summer type of thing. But I mean, if there's
any influx of of bait. Now, one thing I will
tell you, uh, is that there was some blackman a
few black fan tuna's tot and uh, I know one
(01:19:10):
guy that pillayed one and it was absolutely packed with
little tiny squids.
Speaker 9 (01:19:16):
So that may have to do with uh.
Speaker 49 (01:19:19):
That may have something to do with with with the
tunas and and some of the other by catch that
I like to But I'll tell you what though. I mean,
you know, anytime anytime you see my mice, you know,
there's always a chance that there's gonna be a blue
mail on behind it following it.
Speaker 27 (01:19:38):
So you know, we did have we did have a
small we did have a few minimis.
Speaker 49 (01:19:44):
Showing up and that's you know, hey, listen, it can
happen at any time, you know, right, norm.
Speaker 6 (01:19:51):
We appreciate Yeah, it seems like you're the guy to
follow on the water because you've caught him.
Speaker 5 (01:19:55):
Big this week.
Speaker 4 (01:19:57):
Thanks Norm.
Speaker 9 (01:19:59):
All right, Joe, guys, have a good one.
Speaker 27 (01:20:01):
And what was your Nameesica?
Speaker 5 (01:20:03):
Yes, Jessica. We'll go with that, Jessica Rabbit.
Speaker 3 (01:20:07):
All right, all right, see you, budd.
Speaker 4 (01:20:13):
Here's Johnny all right, next up we got Johnny, my man.
How's it going, Johnny?
Speaker 45 (01:20:21):
It's good man.
Speaker 38 (01:20:22):
We're driving out to the Everglades and gonna have a
good day to day.
Speaker 45 (01:20:27):
The fisher biting so awesome. It's gonna be a good one.
Speaker 4 (01:20:31):
All right.
Speaker 3 (01:20:32):
So how's Lake Aida. What do we got going on there?
Speaker 4 (01:20:37):
Lake?
Speaker 38 (01:20:37):
You know, he's been fishing really good something. Sorry, my
phone just stopped taking over there. Lake Ey's been fishing
good some days, like really good some days, and other
days it's been just kind of so.
Speaker 45 (01:20:52):
So it just seems to depend on the day. And
you know, this morning's a little cooler, so.
Speaker 38 (01:20:58):
I think the lake today would be you know, if
you're going to be fishing, you you want to fish deeper.
Speaker 45 (01:21:04):
Once that water temperature.
Speaker 38 (01:21:05):
Goes, you know, below like the mid to high seventies,
this fish.
Speaker 45 (01:21:11):
Are gonna go deep and and and they're very catchable deep.
Speaker 38 (01:21:14):
Everybody thinks that when it gets cold, you you can't
catch them, but they're very catchable. Just got to fish
them in a different water column instead of fishing them
under the docks like we have have been some of
the week.
Speaker 45 (01:21:28):
Everglades water level is still really high.
Speaker 38 (01:21:33):
There's some fish being caught. Uh my people today they
wanted to catch a bunch of oscars, which there's there's
plenty of that going on in the Everglades right now.
We can probably catch about one hundred fish an hour.
Speaker 5 (01:21:50):
To it, So that's the kind you want to go on.
Speaker 45 (01:21:55):
And all kinds of messed up today.
Speaker 3 (01:21:58):
Wow, man, how about the cloud knife fish.
Speaker 45 (01:22:03):
Clowns are tough this week? You know, we had a few.
Actually we had one day where we caught four, which is, you.
Speaker 8 (01:22:11):
Know, good, But.
Speaker 38 (01:22:15):
Yesterday we fished and we poked around for about two
hours looking for one, and we had no bites whatsoever.
I'm not sure, you know, even though I've been fishing
for these guys for almost twenty years now, sometimes they
(01:22:35):
get the best of me. And it's always on a
moon phase where I'm not how to describe it.
Speaker 45 (01:22:44):
It's just.
Speaker 38 (01:22:46):
A moon phase that's not normal. So a new moon
or a full moon, something that only comes around once
in a while, because it seems like on the and
by the way, clown knife fish are nocturnal, so every
so often we get these you know, crazy moons and
the clowns and a lot of other fish.
Speaker 45 (01:23:06):
Actually they get all jacked up, so they're not.
Speaker 5 (01:23:08):
The only clowns that come out. I guess, huh, it's
very appropriate.
Speaker 4 (01:23:17):
And let me let me ask you this, Johnny, what
do you use for clowns when you're targeting them.
Speaker 38 (01:23:23):
So a lot of my clients they just want to
fish live bait for him. Yesterday we were throwing a
good deal of live bait. We were throwing some really
deep diving crank baits because you know this fish, they
sit on the bottom.
Speaker 10 (01:23:39):
And a lot of.
Speaker 38 (01:23:40):
Times I throw a five inch soft jerk bait on
a Texas rig with a it's called a Texas I had.
It's made by z Man and it's just a five
inch streak Z is the bait and we're dragging that
thing on the bottom. It works really good. I mean,
(01:24:00):
it's one of the top producing artificial lures that actually
catch a lot of cloud knifes outside of live bait fishing.
Speaker 4 (01:24:10):
Interesting, okay, cool? Is there a certain color that you
use for that.
Speaker 38 (01:24:15):
I'd like to use bright colors, you know, like white
or white with silver that with a lot of glitter
in it, just because we're fishing basically the bottom of
the lake, so I want something that's going to catch
a little bit of light and they see it and
they hammer it. I mean we've got we've had days
where we've caught.
Speaker 45 (01:24:33):
Multiple fish on artificial and that is the one bluer
that they really.
Speaker 3 (01:24:42):
I don't know, they really just attack it, go for
it everything.
Speaker 45 (01:24:46):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 4 (01:24:47):
Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 3 (01:24:49):
What's your biggest clown that you've ever caught, Johnny.
Speaker 27 (01:24:53):
Oh Man, I don't know.
Speaker 38 (01:24:56):
It was definitely a client fish that was I remember
its specific, really good clients to mine.
Speaker 45 (01:25:02):
It was actually the guy's grandma that I caught it.
It was almost thirteen pounds.
Speaker 5 (01:25:09):
What go grandma, dude?
Speaker 4 (01:25:11):
That's yeah, that's awesome.
Speaker 5 (01:25:13):
But you know what, Johnny, today could be the day
that you catch one and it can go on the
record books.
Speaker 38 (01:25:18):
Okay, yeah, right right, yeah, I'm always looking for that
record fish.
Speaker 22 (01:25:23):
There you go.
Speaker 5 (01:25:24):
From my mouth to God's ears. I wish you nothing
but the best out there.
Speaker 4 (01:25:28):
Today or Johnny, we'll get it in my tournament with
you and I there on the helpboat watching how sick.
Speaker 38 (01:25:36):
Well, you know we we did catch a handful of
them last year. You know, in the beginning it's kind
of slow, you know, nobody's really catching fish yet.
Speaker 45 (01:25:46):
They're going to their spots.
Speaker 38 (01:25:47):
And I was with John Stetam from Johnny Jiggs and
we literally smoked a bunch of them just on that
same five inch cman And yeah, I'll have to take
you Joe.
Speaker 5 (01:26:03):
Well, I know it's a date, you guys are going.
Speaker 6 (01:26:06):
Yeah, it's a date, yes, because we have a date
coming up after this break.
Speaker 4 (01:26:09):
Yes, it's girl power break.
Speaker 5 (01:26:11):
Yes, it's break time and girl power after this with
Jen and Deb. So I'm excited, all.
Speaker 4 (01:26:16):

Speaker 6 (01:32:15):
Yeah, no, I have to tell you the weather's been beautiful.
What Steven those words were like a turn on? Oh yeah, yeah,
sixties and seventies.
Speaker 4 (01:32:23):
It's definitely eighties.
Speaker 12 (01:32:24):
Very rare that I get a woman saying that when
I talk, it is a turn on. So well, thank you.
I'll take that. Jessica, Jessica, thank you for that.
Speaker 4 (01:32:30):
By the way, Yes, yes, Jessica, Rabbit, thanks jess Okay,
all right, so next up we got Captain Deb. How's
it going?
Speaker 23 (01:32:39):
Yee?
Speaker 47 (01:32:40):
How guys?
Speaker 46 (01:32:40):
How is it? How's it going?
Speaker 4 (01:32:42):
It's going? Deb?
Speaker 26 (01:32:43):
How are you? God?
Speaker 46 (01:32:45):
Great? I'm great. I mean, I mean, you couldn't ask
for a me more beautiful week that we've had. I
did a lot of sitting on the sandbar and running
beautiful you know, like little small echo tours and other
things that getting out and enjoying this weather. And fish
really doesn't really like it when it's flat. So I
(01:33:06):
guess I'm gonna sit on a sandbar and get paid anyway.
Speaker 7 (01:33:09):
Captain dev we have that picture that you sent me
that Wow, yeah, what's going on?
Speaker 4 (01:33:15):
Wow?
Speaker 46 (01:33:17):
Yeah, definitely. I mean it's been one heck of a
season for a whilehoo. I put twelve or thirteen on
the decks. It's January, so yeah, I mean it's been
it's been really cool. I mean, I'm I think I
got it dial in now, so I'm working hard at it,
and it's It's one of those fish that that I
(01:33:38):
think is one of the hardest fish to catch in
the ocean, and it's a lot and especially without live bait.
You know, anybody can anybody can catch a fish on
light bait if you know where to find them, but
to catch something, to tease something with feathers and lures
and to make something bite is a little bit more challenging,
(01:33:59):
and I think that's why it turns me on so much.
So yeah, I enjoy chasing wahoo. But you know, it's springtime.
The reefs spend kind of really active. Our mutton BYTE's
still been still been pretty good. The yellow tail snapper
have been seeing a lot of those. But you know,
we did have a guy go off yesterday when of
(01:34:19):
the captains go off shore yesterday and put a bunch
of dolphin in the boat. So maybe that's a good
telltale sim that was got some dolphin coming down the reef.
So yeah, I mean it's it's definitely spring here and
it is.
Speaker 3 (01:34:32):
Gorgeous absolutely any size to the dolphin.
Speaker 46 (01:34:37):
Yeah, I mean they were all keepers, so I mean,
you know, you know, twenty five twenty six inches and
they will eat anything. And that's that's I mean, they
just when they come this time of year, when they
come in, you know, if they come in early, that
just tells us the springs here. You know, usually if
(01:34:59):
you look back into your fish calendar or your fish
diary that you're supposed to be keeping. I know I'm
going to say this every week, but if you look
at we used to have dolphin come through in May
and now they don't they either there everything's changed. Sometimes
our bigger ones are here in September October. But it
all depends on the weather patterns and the wind and
(01:35:20):
everything else, and the way the current's running or the
way the gold stream is or how far it's off
or whatever. So I think it's going to be a
really good year for dolphin.
Speaker 6 (01:35:31):
This year, Keptain deb I have a question for you,
because obviously we got some newbies that listen to the
show and everything like that. What area are we in
when we're talking off the reef.
Speaker 46 (01:35:42):
I fish anywhere from one hundred and twenty out to
three hundred feet off the reef. I've been catching a
lot of wahoo inside of two hundred, but I don't
and I call a really big one. I called a
sixty some pounder this year in like fifty four feet
of water. So there's not any fences out there. And
(01:36:04):
you know, when our selfish are biting and they're chasing
baitenshow inside of the reefs, you know they're going to
be in thirty forty fifty feet, So, I mean it
just depends on They will come in shallow, that's for sure,
But most of your bites are going to be in
between one hundred and twenty feet the three hundred feet
depending on the time of the year.
Speaker 4 (01:36:24):
Awesome. And you know it's interesting you mentioned with your book,
your little book that you keep your log, and how
things have changed for mahi, because I've noticed it here.
For wahoo. Actually, we used to in my in my
summer tournaments, the Summer Slam two we always had in August,
so we would always catch because you had those two moons,
(01:36:48):
you had that the blue or blue moon or super Moon,
and we would always catch man like thirty to forty
to fifty pounds. We had a seventy pound wahoo in
one of our tournaments, and it was like clockwork every
year we were getting them. In the now it's changed
and well, yeah, like for some reason, like five years ago,
(01:37:09):
everything changed and we wouldn't get one. And it's and
we still haven't got one since those five years of
in like seven years in a row.
Speaker 3 (01:37:20):
Of always getting those big wahoo.
Speaker 4 (01:37:23):
Now what's really weird is they're catching those big wahoo
in the winter time and it's it's I mean, it's sporadic.
It's not like it was in the summer. And don't
get me wrong. You're still gonna get some. But it's
just totally changed from my logs that I've kept.
Speaker 5 (01:37:41):
The diaries important.
Speaker 3 (01:37:42):
Yeah, and speaks to you.
Speaker 4 (01:37:44):
Yeah, And it really just goes to show you, Captain
deb you know everything you're saying is right. I think
I think a lot of different species are changing. And
I don't know why.
Speaker 3 (01:37:55):
I'm I'm not gonna like lie and say I'm some
scientists and this is why. I don't really know.
Speaker 4 (01:38:01):
But it's interesting that a lot of these species are
changing their their routes and where they're going.
Speaker 3 (01:38:07):
I mean, what's your theory on that, Captain dev I.
Speaker 46 (01:38:11):
Think that fish are you know, a pattern type fish,
So you know when a fish decides it's They all
migrate through the keys, they all migrate through South Florida.
Some fish cut through Channel five Bridge in Lower Monacombie
and go that way towards the Gulf of Mexico. But
they all have one thing on their mind at certain
times is to go Swann. Another thing we've been having
(01:38:35):
going on right now that's abnormal this time of year.
Well I don't know if it's abnormal, but it's been
more than usual is we've been having humongous kobea everywhere.
Kobea is one of the best eating fish I've ever eaten.
But this time of year, we have big manor rays
that comes through and they come down the ocean and
then they cut through Channel five Bridge and you'll see
(01:38:57):
like thousands and thousands of manner rays and there's big
kobe are on them. So these guys in these bay
boats are going out to you know, the Gulf of Mexico,
and they're catching these kobea and some of them are
sixty seventy pounds. I mean, they're that big. But I
agree with you. I agree with you. I think it
has a lot to do with our our weather patterns.
(01:39:18):
And I'll say this are our law Ninia year or
our l Nina year, and it has.
Speaker 47 (01:39:25):
To do with weather.
Speaker 46 (01:39:26):
You know, how much rain we're gonna get, how much this,
how you know all that considers.
Speaker 11 (01:39:31):
But you know, you're right.
Speaker 46 (01:39:33):
The big wahoo have been staying more offshore in the
golf Stream up north towards Jacksonville, South Georgia. You know,
in the Carolinas. We do catch them here in the Keys,
but they're a smaller type of fish. And I think
that is because There's two routes they fish take. One
is the outside of the Bahamas route and the other
one is down the golf stream through the keys. And
(01:39:56):
you know, when you and when you when you take
a migration and only half the pack get through, you
know something's got to change. So I think they're changing.
You know, they're they're figuring out, hey, if I go
this way, I might die. So they're going different routes
and different fish and they're changing patterns.
Speaker 10 (01:40:13):
I believe.
Speaker 5 (01:40:14):
Wow, where are you headed to today? What's your plans today?
Speaker 46 (01:40:19):
Today? I'm off. I've worked the last six days.
Speaker 4 (01:40:21):
Good for you.
Speaker 46 (01:40:22):
I've been on the water the last six days. But
I do have a sunset tonight. I try to run those,
you know, at least five or six times a week.
I really enjoy that in taking people out and watching
the sunset. I'd rather sit I'd rather sit on a
boat and watch a sunset than sit in the bar
and watch a sunset.
Speaker 7 (01:40:39):
And Captain Devin with the sunset time changes, is that
going to change your schedule for fishing?
Speaker 43 (01:40:46):
Uh?
Speaker 46 (01:40:46):
Yeah, I mean everything changes depending on you know a
lot of Steven, a lot of things that is based
on tide. You know, a lot of these fish that
we catch are tide dependent. So I mean, if you're
just going out to charter fish and you've got to
catch whatever you can in that slotted amount of time,
(01:41:06):
then you have to kind of, you know, figure out
your day. But if you're going to go, you know,
target one particular species, you have to really look at tides.
But yes, the the between the moon we have we're
on a negative tide here and the keys right now,
so everything's a lot lower than it usually is. So
the low tide's really low and the high tides low tide,
(01:41:28):
so it's it's been a little weird with the moon
and everything. And we are definitely going to spring forward
on this sunset, so that's going to be cool and
we're gonna have nine o'clock sunsets again and that's exciting to.
Speaker 5 (01:41:40):
Me staying out later.
Speaker 3 (01:41:42):
And uh and how's the dusk fishing is?
Speaker 33 (01:41:45):
That?
Speaker 3 (01:41:45):
Is that as hot as it is.
Speaker 18 (01:41:46):
Here it can be.
Speaker 46 (01:41:50):
I mean you've got to go back to thinking that,
you know, most of your fish that do not have
eyelids are wahoo, tuna, you know, things that have big eyes, swordfish,
they they like the dust part, they'd like dawn, they
like nighttime. During the day, in the sun, tie in
the sky, you can forget it. They're deep. So unless
(01:42:12):
you're planar fishing or you've got you know, a weight
down where they're not looking up at it and you're
not going to have a greater chance of getting it.
That's why you're doll fishing and you're dust fishing. It's
so important.
Speaker 6 (01:42:24):
I learned something today. I did not know that they
did not have eyelids, so really yeah, so when.
Speaker 46 (01:42:31):
They look up, they're they're blinded just like you dolphin
or mahi mahi they have they have actually eyelids where
they look up and they're not blinded by the sun.
So they they're a top water pelagic fish.
Speaker 6 (01:42:44):
Pretty nuts right in my head, I'm trying to picture
this now, not haveing eyelids.
Speaker 4 (01:42:51):
And captain dead real quick before we got to go.
How about the swordfish bite? How's that going there?
Speaker 46 (01:42:58):
Well, so March is a really good month to come
down in thword fish. I mean this is when our
big girls come through. You got to go back to
again the migration, going to the Gulf of America. I mean,
you've got to see that, you've got you've got all
these fish that come down. I'll tell you a quick story.
In nineteen seventy something, a great captain out of Buve Mary,
(01:43:23):
Captain Skip, he caught a sword fish in the wheel ditch,
like a three hundred pounder that was lost in the
wheel ditch. And that's because used to they used to
come through the bridges and head to the Gulf of Mexico,
which one is it's closer to get to. So I mean,
fish get lost, has no fences. But our sword fish
(01:43:44):
flight is extravagant here in March, April and May.
Speaker 4 (01:43:48):
Yep.
Speaker 9 (01:43:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:43:49):
And they're big ones too, from what I say.
Speaker 46 (01:43:52):
And they're really big ones. Nick stans it caught his
biggest one, you know, in May, and then he caught
an ocean liner or airliner and whatever you want to
call it, seven and forty seven pounds, you know, I mean,
you just that's that's a big fish, the monster fish.
And they come through here and he caught it, you know,
in between sixteen hundred and two thousand feet of water.
(01:44:14):
So there's a lot of fish on that bottom that
run that bottom current, that travel under those those waterways,
for sure.
Speaker 4 (01:44:22):
Right, wow, Well.

but this thing is going to take hested in your level.
I mean, I just think, like I think you can
go around what this.
Speaker 50 (01:48:40):
Thing is really cool as you can see, it fits
right into a backpack and it's got this long hose
that can help you get down to thirty feet, which
I feel like here in South Florida, I mean, we
have so many dives right off.
Speaker 5 (01:48:52):
The beach that you can go with this thing.
Speaker 26 (01:48:54):
Oh yeah, so you want to test it out, let's
do it.
Speaker 5 (01:48:57):
Always got to spit in the mask.
Speaker 26 (01:49:01):

Speaker 50 (01:49:04):
It comes with some several things in this package should
make it so easy. It comes with on top of
the floating blue Nomad, it has a pole already with
a dive flag attached to it, so you're not carrying
around like a lot of gear to go diving. You
can honestly fit everything in here and just bring.
Speaker 24 (01:49:22):
Your mask in fins.
Speaker 35 (01:49:23):
I'm pretty sure you could put this in one of
those cubbies at the airport, you know, like on the plane.
So it looks like it fits as a.
Speaker 3 (01:49:29):
Travel case as well.
Speaker 5 (01:49:31):
It is travel friendly.
Speaker 50 (01:49:32):
TSA will not be pulling you over for this guy,
So just imagine this.
Speaker 5 (01:49:36):
All right, let's talk through it.
Speaker 50 (01:49:37):
I'm patty certified, thank god, Ben, since I was thirteen
years old, thanks to the parents. But it's really pricey
to get certified by your gear and everything. This is
something that you don't need to be scuba dive certified for.
And when it comes to how much you're gonna be
spending on your certification, all the gear and everything, this
is gonna be a better.
Speaker 24 (01:49:55):
Offer for you one hundred percent.
Speaker 35 (01:49:57):
I'd rather learn with this than have to go through
a bunch of money courses. You know, at least I can.
Speaker 4 (01:50:03):
See if I like diving with this exactly.
Speaker 5 (01:50:05):
This is going to be your go to present right now.
Speaker 15 (01:50:08):
Thanks for watching, guys.
Speaker 24 (01:50:09):
I'm Kat Haley, I'm John and you.

Speaker 27 (01:50:21):
See you next week. Hey, guys, I'm Kat Haley.
Speaker 5 (01:50:23):
All right, very cool.
Speaker 6 (01:50:25):
You know I used to be certified and I like
stop diving because I met my husband and he doesn't
like the ocean as.
Speaker 5 (01:50:31):
Much as I do. He likes fresh water instead.
Speaker 7 (01:50:34):
But Brandy, you're always certified, but you should obviously get
checked out before going again.
Speaker 5 (01:50:39):
You're for taking the words out of my mouth.
Speaker 6 (01:50:41):
Yes, so you're always certified, but it's a refresher course
and I just haven't done it. But with something like that,
it gets you back out there and kind of like
give you back the confidence that you kind of need.
Speaker 5 (01:50:50):
Sure, sure, and yeah, I love very cool ventures.
Speaker 4 (01:50:54):
So let me ask you guys, do freshwater fishing.
Speaker 6 (01:50:56):
My husband is a huge freshwater guy. He fishes a lot,
mainly on the lake Lake Okajobi. He's a huge tournament
coming up next.
Speaker 5 (01:51:04):
Week aweso and I wanted to win.
Speaker 4 (01:51:06):
What's the tournament?
Speaker 6 (01:51:07):
It's I don't know the name of the tournament. Sorry,
I apologize for that one, but no, he I'm excited
for him. He hasn't had really a lot of luck.
Last week he went out and like him and his partner,
everybody that's out there, they're saying that just they're not binding.
They're small ones, but they want the big one.
Speaker 4 (01:51:23):
It is his tournament local or is it no? On
the lake.
Speaker 6 (01:51:26):
His his thing is he loves to fish lake Okachobi.
That's that's where his bread and butter is. He'll go out,
you know at Holiday Park once in a while and
stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (01:51:33):
That's truly.
Speaker 5 (01:51:34):
But but no, he's a lake.
Speaker 6 (01:51:37):
Yes, he loves Yeah, all those trips to Cluiston, Yeah
at the sun Past, trust me, coming off of seventy
five there.
Speaker 5 (01:51:42):
But no, he's I wish all the guys nothing but
the best. Next week.
Speaker 6 (01:51:46):
There's a huge tournament on the water there now this weekend,
but they're not catching them like they were, so hopefully
next week because we're going on a cruise and I
really would like some new jewelry.
Speaker 3 (01:51:56):
Oh so yeah, you guys, Yeah, what's your husband's name?
Speaker 5 (01:52:01):
Scott?
Speaker 2 (01:52:01):
Scott?
Speaker 3 (01:52:02):
You better win.
Speaker 24 (01:52:02):
Scott went big baby, big God.
Speaker 4 (01:52:06):
And speaking of tournaments, we got the Extreme Kayak Fishing
Exotic Bass Round up coming up April twenty six, so
we got a little bit of time, but uh yeah,
that's coming up fast. That's taking place in Palm Beach
at Lake Ida Park. So that's gonna be a fun tournament.
One of the main sponsors, Nautical Ventures, we'll be giving
(01:52:27):
away some fun cash and prizes catal Oh yeah, so
thank you Nautical, And we got a lot of other
fun sponsors like Yeddie, Johnny Jiggs, a whole bunch of
other stuff. And actually Johnny who we had on the
show today, he's actually one of the help boats for
that tournament. So and his charter is South Florida Fishing Charters,
(01:52:48):
so you can look him up. He's a big help
with that tournament. He's been helping me for years. And
we're really hoping to build that tournament up like our
Summer slams and April, and that one's in April, and
then we got the I'mor Slam Part one taking place
June seventh. Okay, we got some time. But just so
people know, they can go to Extreme Kayakfishion dot com

been on the other end of my phone guiding, directing, producing.
He's been a big help. So we wish you nothing
but the best in your recovery from whatever it is
you're recovering from. I'm going to be honest. I'm going
(01:53:43):
to put it out there.
Speaker 4 (01:53:43):
Is it okay?
Speaker 5 (01:53:44):
If I do on what I think it is?
Speaker 16 (01:53:45):

Speaker 5 (01:53:46):
I think he got more hair plugs.
Speaker 4 (01:53:48):
Oh okay, I do. I do, Guys.
Speaker 6 (01:53:50):
He loves his hair and I just think that's what
he decided to do with his day off. By the way,
in all the years that he's done this show, we
have to give him some props. He's only missed.
Speaker 5 (01:54:00):
This show three times.
Speaker 4 (01:54:02):
Yeah, that's nuts.
Speaker 5 (01:54:03):
That's amazing. That's amazing.
Speaker 6 (01:54:05):
So Mabee, we wish you nothing but the best in
your recovery, whatever that recovery be.
