Speaker 4 (00:23):
Welcome to the Nautical Adventures Weekly Fisherman's Show. You're number
eighteen going. I don't know. It's Star Wars Star Trek
time might be your number two thousand and five. We've
been doing this.
Speaker 5 (00:35):
This is Star Trek.
Speaker 4 (00:37):
Yeah, I mixed up for a minute. Still caught early though. Anyway,
so welcome to the show. If you're wondering on to
Facebook Street why we are wearing matching Star Trek shirts
is because today we're celebrating William Shatner's ninety fourth birthday.
Captain James Tiberius. The tea is James Tiberius Kirk. How
(00:59):
about that? Huh?
Speaker 5 (01:00):
I think it's lovely.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
Actually, now just been known over the years to do
a really lay mass Captain Kirk impression. Okay, so I thought,
you know, now you guys got to deal with I'm
putting you in a character of the entire show. Okay,
so what do you say? We opened up with a
theme that opening rap. Bring out the intro. There, James
T s to star Trek on the show. All right,
(01:24):
here we go.
Speaker 6 (01:26):
Space the final footier. These are the voyages of the
Starship Enterprise.
Speaker 5 (01:34):
It's five year missions.
Speaker 7 (01:37):
It's too explore strange new worlds, to seek out new
life and new civilizations.
Speaker 5 (01:44):
To boltanly go, We're no band and Eric has gone before.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
Who alight? That was a really good joke, Jill. You
you actually memorized every single word. Didn't blow it all?
Speaker 8 (02:04):
Man?
Speaker 4 (02:05):
Yeah, that was great. I had my own intro. But
I'm gonna leave do my own thing. But I'm not
gonna go there unless I should, Should I steem or
just leave it alone.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Man, I'm already embarrassed. I'm not even gonna talk to
you guys anymore.
Speaker 4 (02:17):
Oh right, then, let's go ahead and over the show.
Speaker 5 (02:20):
We have troubled back in time to saving as species
from annihilation.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
So far, okay, okay, I used to be in character
of the entire show. I think I just did. After
three seconds here we're done. Anyway, we're celebrating James T. Kirk,
Captain Kirk. You know, William Shattner day here right, you.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Know, I hate to say it, but you guys look
like you've got some type of new Burger King uniform
on hold the pickle special order to do upset.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
These things cost me a mit, man, I got these
things done by Amazon, like an overnight prime time delivery.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Because you waited too long.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
Whatever. Man, it was the last minute idea. Like everything
else on the show is okay, they never pre planned anyway,
Let's get some fishing chat and bring out our friend,
Captain Jimbo Thomas. I hope he rips your ass on
the warp speed minus five Thomas Flyer, my dad, Jimbo Thomas,
do you read me teptin?
Speaker 5 (03:12):
Captain?
Speaker 9 (03:13):
Yes, yes, I copy you.
Speaker 5 (03:16):
This is me report please.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
This is the sound effect of that transported thing they
were doing. Man, oh yeah, we just transported right to
the show. Man. Was that? I?
Speaker 9 (03:28):
Well, I was never a Star Trek fan, but I'm
gonna give you all I got, Captain.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
Sounds like Scott, you're gonna give you don't like?
Speaker 10 (03:38):
Boy?
Speaker 9 (03:39):
What hell? I don't even know.
Speaker 4 (03:44):
Had I'm going to give it, giving it all, Captain.
That is great. That is great, Jibo, really good job.
It was good, awesome job. So, uh, what alien species?
If you caught off the Old Flyer this week, buddy boy.
Speaker 9 (03:59):
So it's thin all right, but not spectacular. Are the
main reason we've had such a lack of north current lately.
If we can get some north current, the fishing should
be really good.
Speaker 11 (04:11):
I suspect at least.
Speaker 9 (04:14):
So throughout the week we've had some sails. There's been
a few dolphin caught. On Thursday, there's a big weed
line offshore five or six hundred feet of water, and
there's not tons of dolphins, but more dolphin than what
we've seen coming down. And that was Thursday, and then
yesterday Friday, the wind switched out of the northwest really
(04:34):
hard and they killed that.
Speaker 11 (04:37):
But today.
Speaker 9 (04:39):
We're gonna have light winds from at least what I've heard,
so that's an option. If that weed line's formed up
out there again, those dolphin might be on it. And
there was a few floaters found and the dolphin were
hanging on these floaters and there was small wallhoo's on
all the floaters that were found, So that's an option.
(04:59):
And and otherwise we've been kite fishing catching our sale.
Like I said, we've had a few nice kings throughout
the last few days. And I haven't caught any, but
there have been a few black fin tunas caught, but
you know they they're still not here yet. But there's
a couple of strays caught. So in general, you know,
(05:19):
it looks like we got a nice day, should be
decent fishing out there, and I'm gonna get some live
baits and go hopefully there's enough win for the kite.
Put the kite up, and I'm gonna let some of
the other guys be the guinea pigs head if they're
going to head off shore. And if I hear any
activity out there, then we can.
Speaker 11 (05:38):
We can always up.
Speaker 9 (05:39):
Our game planing and and do that. But the kite
fishing along the edge has been the best, our best
bet in the last few days.
Speaker 5 (05:48):
Nice man, not a bad report there, huh, So do.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
I I like them all? But I'll try to give
you a nickname on the show because it starts right
things going on with William Shatter's birthday. So would he
be Sulu check off Lieutenant o'hura, No.
Speaker 7 (06:06):
He definitely be. He'd be check Off. You'd be Sulu. Uh,
Steven would be computer.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
And whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
Wait a second, Okay, I think I think Eric could
be uh a Chinese version of Lieutenant Hora. No, yeah, yeah,
really yeah? Oh absolutely, Well, kids, turn the ship. I'm
going to find I'm gonna find something for Joe here
in a Second's great.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
I bet you will, doctor, what do you? I bet
you will?
Speaker 11 (06:37):
Cling on?
Speaker 4 (06:39):
Steven could be the Klingon. Okay, that's true, the enemy.
He might be the Klingon.
Speaker 9 (06:45):
He could be yes, yes, anyway, So I can't wait
till you have the Gilligan's Island. Then show, Oh boy.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Who would played the again? Who played Gilligan?
Speaker 9 (06:59):
I think I would be would be you?
Speaker 5 (07:01):
You definitely the doctor.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
I got to do a show he'd be Marry.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
Guys.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
I got to do a home show with you Marry
Oh my gosh, she was fine, though. I got to
do a home show with Gilligan after he got kind
of got busted for a certain event and they said,
see whatever you do, don't mention that he got busted
from marijuana. And I got no. I started the open
of the show with the Gilligan's Island theme and I go, hey,
little buddy, what you been up to?
Speaker 4 (07:29):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Just growing things?
Speaker 4 (07:34):
Quite this is a humor. Did he not, Yes, he did,
so Jim, before you go, man, seriously, man, guys heading
out today, Well, the best game plan one go out
to look for floaters. Fly a kite.
Speaker 9 (07:44):
I mean what dude, Yes, yes, and yes, so if
you have if you have dolphin on your mind and now,
they might not be out there today or it's you
have to be seen because this time of the year,
we could catch ten one day and not see one
for two weeks after that. So they come and they go,
and where they go who knows. But they could be
(08:07):
out there today because we're not going to have that
west wind. I wouldn't go too far out because what
the ones that were caught the other day were roughly
five hundred feet of water, so that's not very far out,
so go out of No, not at all. So I
wouldn't go much further than that unless you hear of
a good reporter of some sorts, of a reliable one. Otherwise,
(08:30):
get some live baits and in fish the edge of
the gulf stream. You know, if you can get the
kite up, do that. Otherwise you can drift or slow
trol those live baits and you'll have a shot at
a sailfish. Possible kingfish, dolphin in there as well, possible
black pin tuna, and for Joe even a possible wahoo,
which we haven't seen many of.
Speaker 11 (08:51):
Mother and the little guys.
Speaker 7 (08:52):
Yeah, so it's just the little ones really being caught
right right now.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
You haven't heard it well because.
Speaker 9 (08:57):
All the ones being caught were on float or and
on floaters. They're typically little guys. I mean, if you
catch a twenty pounder on a floater, that's a big one.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (09:08):
So most might say here that eight to eight to
ten pound range, which.
Speaker 11 (09:13):
Is big enough.
Speaker 9 (09:13):
But I like to catch when they weigh fifty pounds.
Speaker 4 (09:16):
Oh me too, All right, Oh yeah, well, jim I'll
have a fine day out there. My friend what's your name?
Speaker 12 (09:22):
Him?
Speaker 4 (09:23):
The other character Bones, He can be talking doctor Bones,
you know, because he catches maybe a bone fish occasionally though.
Speaker 7 (09:29):
Yeah, but Bones complains all the time like Jimbo doesn't
come Jimbo's obviously we use it bonehead.
Speaker 11 (09:36):
Maybe what's going on?
Speaker 4 (09:39):
Bonehead?
Speaker 13 (09:39):
There?
Speaker 4 (09:40):
He wrap up with a great point there, man, Hey,
have a great week in jim I've got to catch
them up man, and the thanks for playing along with
these two knuckleheads here and playing the game man, give
it all. I can't captain, I can't give her.
Speaker 9 (09:52):

Speaker 4 (11:26):

Speaker 4 (11:31):
I always trying to make the vulcan hand side?
Speaker 3 (11:33):

it's we'll see where he goes show.
Speaker 7 (16:45):
Yeah, you've already mixed up Star Wars with Star Trek.
You've already you don't know what a board is.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
I think you guys look like you work at the
AMC Movie Theater with his outfits on or like a
futuristic Barger King.

Oh he actually writes Stevo. But anyway, the show is
going where no show has gone before. Correct to the toilet,
thank you, We've got We have a guy who's got tasers.
These damn massive snakeheads bad. It just beams him on
his bees on the boat. There you bees on the
(17:17):
boat man. They're attracted to him, you know what I mean?
Speaker 30 (17:20):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Yeah, the one of the only Captain Corey Doakowski show here. Corey,
good morning to your brother guys.
Speaker 31 (17:26):
Good morning. How you guys doing do it?
Speaker 5 (17:28):
Corey?
Speaker 4 (17:29):
I just asked you real quick up front, man, were
you ever a Star Trek fan back when you were
younger at all?
Speaker 11 (17:35):
Uh?
Speaker 31 (17:35):
Yeah, not really, I told you.
Speaker 4 (17:38):
I kind of thought not. Yeah, it's for his time.
Corey was a Star Wars kid.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
You're either Star Wars or Star Trek.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
Maybe he's watching Fish. Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 31 (17:50):
I rold Martin. I'm not a not a big fan
of him either.
Speaker 29 (17:53):
No.
Speaker 31 (17:54):
Now, Bill Dance and Jimmy Houston has a different story.
Speaker 4 (17:58):
Those guys is a funny guy. Man, he is a trip.
Speaker 31 (18:00):
Yeah, but yeah, Star Wars, Yeah, I was. It was
into Star Wars a little bit. I to be honest,
I wasn't really into either one of them.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Big time probably anyway. So, uh, I saw some photos
this week, not just of snakeheads. You got some banging
big peacock this week, buddy, talk about them.
Speaker 31 (18:24):
Yeah, yeah, Now that that was that one, that one,
especially a few days back, that was that was a
giant one that was almost eight pounds.
Speaker 11 (18:34):
That it was.
Speaker 31 (18:39):
That was pretty much. That was the start of the morning.
It was only like the third fish in the morning.
And that was you know, I spotted the fish because
they were kind of in a the territorial mode. They
weren't quite on a bed yet, but they were kind
of like coming in and out of an area. They
were looking and uh, I was like, yeah, it's probably
like a six pounder, and so I pitch, pitch, you know.
The fish was you know, had to chase, chase, and
(19:01):
then finally got it. The hit and uh I was
fighting it of course, the heck of a fight. And
then I get it to the boat and get it
in the boat. I'm like, lord, this thing is bigger
than six pounds. So uh it's uh put on the
scale and it was almost eight pounds.
Speaker 4 (19:15):
Wow, sick man. I just showed Joe the photo and
he was like, you know, silently saying, wow.
Speaker 5 (19:21):
You know they just get wide at that point, you.
Speaker 11 (19:23):
Know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah they.
Speaker 31 (19:27):
And then that was in Coral Springs, which is pretty
impressive for North Broward. I mean there's places that you
get you know, six and seven pounders, but to get
one that big that way, that's pretty big.
Speaker 4 (19:39):
It's been a while that or live stuff.
Speaker 31 (19:45):
No, that was artificial. Yeah, it was actually on Chattabai.
Speaker 4 (19:51):
Like the man being the man caught that thing on
an artificial lore.
Speaker 5 (19:56):
Let's hear about that jig.
Speaker 4 (19:57):
A lot of guys will use, as we know the
other stuff it boast about catching a peacock on a
piece of live stuff. I've just women he's on a lord, dude,
like real men catch fish. Okay, not very talk more
about that, buddy. So you were were used toss out there.
Speaker 31 (20:19):
So it was it's it's a a chatterbator of vibrating jig.
It's so it's got a blade on it. It's it's
basically a jig which just kind of blade on it.
And basically I had a little like a grub grub
tail on the on the on the a trailer and
so it's just a real like it's kind of like
a curly tail, a little grub like he used for
(20:41):
like crappy jigs and stuff like that, and uh, you
know that's pretty much. It was a see it was
a uh green pumpkin skirt on it, so it was yeah,
I mean you could have I mean, in a situation
like that, you could have used you could have used
a couple of different colors. I mean sometimes when they're
in that mode to get in that territorial mode, you
(21:03):
can you can kind of throw any you can throw
a bunch of different stuff and they'll usually hit. They
just get so aggressive.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
Corey, what was the name of the lure again, though,
I know the green pumpkin.
Speaker 31 (21:12):
Skirt, but it was a it was a chatter It
was a z Man jackhammer chatterbait, got it?
Speaker 4 (21:20):
Got it, folks, z man jackhammer something thing. Yeah, chatterbait,
chatter bait. Yeah, so I forgot that chatterbait. You got
a tackle box full of every lord knowing the man
because you just collect them and you buy them when
you make or whatever. How do you decide what lure
out of all those hundreds you've got, will be the
(21:40):
lure of the day. I mean, how do you figure
that thing out?
Speaker 31 (21:44):
Well, you know, like in a situation like that, I was,
you know, I was thinking about using like that the
lucky craft coiner, like a jerk bait with the treble hooks.
But I usually with a peacock bass and they're big,
I try not to use treble hooks because usually they
don't get as better as good of a hook set
as a normal straight you know, just a regular jayhook
or a single hook. So that's why I decided to
(22:06):
use that on that fish. If it was willing to
hit it, of course, and uh, you know I wanted
it had just showed interest. I'm like, all right, you know,
let's uh we'll keep going with it.
Speaker 9 (22:15):
And uh, you.
Speaker 31 (22:17):
Know, a lot of times you just got to kind
of see what the fish are, you know, what they want,
and uh, you know, kind of just kind of let
them tell you what, you know, what they're looking for.
A lot of times that's kind of like the snakeheads too,
you kind of or the even bass largemouth bass. You
kind of try to figure out a pattern and now
during the day and see what what they want.
Speaker 4 (22:38):
Is that a fast retrieve or kind of a jerky
retriever or a bust off the bottom thing or how
do you work that?
Speaker 32 (22:43):
Lore?
Speaker 31 (22:44):
Well, that lure you could kind of do all sorts
of ways.
Speaker 9 (22:47):
You can.
Speaker 31 (22:47):
You can bounce it off the bottom, you know, slow
roll it like a spinner bait. You can burn it.
You can burn it really fast if you want to.
I mean, just friel it and as fast as you want.
There's a lot of different with versatile bait you could
use in many different ways. That way I was just
it was just a jig and type motion just to
(23:08):
you know, are sometimes it be jigging, but sometimes it
be like a slow retrieve, just to kind of see
what the fish is doing, right, how aggressive it was
going to be? But yeah, it was. We've caught a
bunch of other ones too that they.
Speaker 5 (23:20):
Too, Corey, Is it true.
Speaker 7 (23:22):
I hear that when they're around the beds like that,
and those really big ones, if you throw lures that
mimic like baby peacocks, that they'll go after them. Uh
maybe a little more than like another type of jig,
only because I guess or lore, because they they cannibalize,
you know, when they're aggressive like that.
Speaker 5 (23:39):
They're young.
Speaker 31 (23:41):
Yeah, yeah, that's I've seen that before. You know they
I mean where they where they do, they are aggressive
towards that. I mean there's sometimes they're just they get
so aggressive on those beds, or they just an area
that they find that they want to spawn, or when
they're they're paired up looking for a bed. They'll just
still hit about anything as long as you, you know,
retrieve it the right way. I mean, hell, I've even
(24:02):
caught him on I'm a bear hook. Yeah, I mean
that's when they're on that's when they're on a bed
and they actually have eggs. This one didn't have that,
but when they actually have the eggs on the bed,
I mean, they get so aggressive. Sometimes you can throw
a bare hook and they'll get Now.
Speaker 4 (24:18):
Tex Corey on my leg over my balcony. I can
actually watch Peacock's bed up and you know, the mom
and daddy that are doing their things, you know, get
the baby's a hatch and I don't. I can actually
tease them up and just piss them off and make
him bite a lure, but I don't mess them. I
let him be mommy and dad. Yeah, and don't play
with him and just let them alone because I want
(24:39):
them to have babies and make my leg even full.
Some guys have seen. Yeah, we'll target those beds, Joe
and trying to piss off those fish to make one bite,
and then you get them and the dad hauls ass
off for a day or two. He's like in shock
he just got caught. You know what I mean, Corey?
Speaker 8 (24:56):
Right?
Speaker 4 (24:56):
You agree? Right?
Speaker 31 (24:58):
Yeah, no, I agree. I mean the only really my
kind of my rule of I'm ever doing when I'm
doing that is if it's a big fish, then I'll
try to catch it. A lot of times I don't.
I don't catch every one of them.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
I leave a lot of them alone.
Speaker 31 (25:10):
It's if it's a big fish, that's what I'm targeting.
If it's going to be on a bed, that's the
one I'll catch it. Like, I don't usually catch both
of them. I'll usually just catch one just to leave
the other one there so it does its business.
Speaker 4 (25:22):
But yeah, have you ever used live bait when you fish?
Or is that something you ever ever do? I? I have,
I have, I have, I have interesting. Yeah, that's all
Joe bait.
Speaker 7 (25:38):
It's like Corey sor right, when you got a kid
and you want to go out here, you want it
to be easy, and you want to just getch something
you bring the.
Speaker 5 (25:50):
Can use.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
In nineteen twenty, Yeah, yeah, I had to do it.
You see start talking back then. Oh yeah, might have
been all right, Corey. So, uh we got a little
chilling the here this morning, a little nip. Man. I
think it's a good day for bass fishing or peacocks
(26:20):
or snake heads or what do you think?
Speaker 31 (26:23):
Uh, well, I'm going I'm going out of the Everglades today,
So going out bass fishing, that would that would probably.
Speaker 11 (26:31):
Be the best bed.
Speaker 31 (26:32):
I mean, the peacocks probably still catch pretty good. I
don't think it's too cold for them. The snakeheads probably
later in the day just because of the bright skies.
That was kind of that way yesterday. It was later
in the day that was the better bite. Okay, but yeah,
I would I'd say all of them you can get.
(26:52):
I'm going bass fishing, so I'd say that probably the
better bed out of everything.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
Well, Corey is the man. Every weekend you bring something strong,
brand new tackle, brand new lure, brand new technique. A
whopper of a right in from that peacock on the screen,
because that was a badass photo which I did send
Steve O by the way to see know. Okay, but anyway,
all right, thanks for being on the program. Man, you're
part of this family crew here. We appreciate you and
title lie my friend. Do it up.
Speaker 31 (27:17):
Thanks Bud, all right, thank you very much. Have a
good day, guys.
Speaker 4 (27:21):

other place to the Yeah, so come back do that more.

Boldly he and I are addressed almost the same until
football season the radar fan with Joe's over steroid body.
The shirt looks much longer. You take that man, and
I'm the thin man. So yeah, it's kind of a
contrast here. But trying to rip a shirt, Joe, I
just bought that for you. If your gun's pop a
little bit, you may bust a seam.
Speaker 5 (28:19):
Setting my phaser to kill.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
Well, coming back to you right here, Oh oh god,
just oh, trying to get a rickshaw.
Speaker 5 (28:32):
Kind of holding it like a machine gun.
Speaker 4 (28:34):
But stand that was.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
Very low to say that. Okay, it's like three feet
under all.
Speaker 4 (28:40):

You're on board the Nautical Ventures Weekly Fisherman Show powered
by Mercury Marine. Go boldly with legendary fisherman Eric Brandon
an extreme angular Joe Hector.
Speaker 4 (32:47):
Yeah, y'all, welcome back to the Nautical Ventures Weekly Fisherman Show.
Tuned in you got job I Warrick Star Trek shirts
matching for the first time. With three years, we've never
worn the shirts again. They never never ever will. It's
a one time only day. We don't don't like my style,
you man, you were the extra small stuff. It looks no,
(33:09):
it's medium, sir, looks how you stole it out of
your daughter's closet. I mean, that's just how small and
tiny they are. It's ridiculous. Actually gets your big old
booby's hanging eyes is really weird. Anyway, I greatly I
should be spocked that man. I got a spot. Guy.
Look going man, you know Romuland anyway, it's see what's
(33:30):
happening on the reward fishing fleet. This man is Barne,
one of the greatest caps out there. Oh yes, James
t a might add okay, very true. And this guy
fits the show. We know his name is, we don't
character he plays. This is definitely cod today Mand Okay, sorry, Wayne,
con there we go, it's con coming, thank you.
Speaker 13 (33:53):
I'm there, man, I'm there. I want to have whatever
you're having. My coffee is trip though, so it is good.
Speaker 4 (33:58):
I just do you understand Wayne? It's j Kirk William
Shatner's ninety fourth birthday, so we're dressed alike Star Trek
shirts and giving big profits. William Shatner, who not man
doing crazy things, isn't that crazy? He's on Space ninety four,
flies around of space at ninety three.
Speaker 3 (34:14):
He's not on SpaceX.
Speaker 5 (34:16):
He was on some version versus flabbergasted.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
Hey, wouldn't you do it?
Speaker 39 (34:20):
Eric?
Speaker 9 (34:21):
Eric?
Speaker 4 (34:21):
Would you do it? If you're a shot in a
hard well.
Speaker 5 (34:24):
First off, I'd have.
Speaker 13 (34:24):
To reach ninety four first, because I'm not ready yet, see, because.
Speaker 4 (34:28):
I still got a shadow.
Speaker 5 (34:30):
Excuse me, I still have things that wouldn't do it?
Speaker 13 (34:32):
Dump dump, Although when you get to ninety four, if
you ain't done it, if you ain't done it, do
something else.
Speaker 5 (34:38):
And because go to space, okay, I could deal with
that and come back.
Speaker 13 (34:42):
Although what you know what I always said about that
with these guys and the guys that got the gazillion dollars.
Speaker 5 (34:47):
He rides up in space, he comes home. What does
he do next?
Speaker 4 (34:53):
Put on what you do next? He puts on a
new wig of the day. Pretty much, Hey, what about
for a thrill?
Speaker 3 (35:00):
As was supposed to go for eight day tour and
they turned into nine months.
Speaker 4 (35:04):
Was a total disaster.
Speaker 13 (35:05):
Well right right, yeah, that mean old musk. Yeah, I
want to take them fishing.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
So back on book. What's the reward catching this week? Buddy, Well, I.
Speaker 13 (35:17):
Will tell you, you know, we just came off of that
moon phase. We've got some got some really pretty button
snappers here this week. We had some days when the
current was running a little hard for him to bite good.
But you just got to fish for them a little
different when the current's really flying. But yet north of
the seabooy there one hundred feet of water, so eighty
to one hundred. Quite a few really nice mutton snappers
and late in the afternoon Blackfntuna's a few kings. The
(35:38):
they're called banded rudder fish that show up pretty much
by committee this on this moon and the next moon.
Speaker 4 (35:44):
Really we just came off of it.
Speaker 13 (35:45):
But they're they're a type of your one of your
one of your friends the jacks, and they're they're like called.
Speaker 4 (35:52):
Banded rudder fish.
Speaker 13 (35:54):
Well we we don't know who started this, but even
back in the seventies. Yeah, we call them ambourines. And
they're like three to seven or eight pounds.
Speaker 4 (36:02):
That's it. That's all they get.
Speaker 13 (36:04):
But the cool thing about it, yeah, and they will
they spawn on any mid range structures, not super deep
anything up off the found blue area, the old deep freeze,
several of the old flugarrects, anything from maybe let's say
one hundred and fifty feet they can stack up on
and you go over one of these wrecks of the
machine on it and it's just the blacks out and
(36:26):
they eat anything.
Speaker 4 (36:27):
They'll eat a red rag there.
Speaker 13 (36:28):
They're so stupid and just for fun, Yeah, just drop
drop a vertical jig down and have added. And I
don't want to seem dumb because I'm supposed to know
all this stuff. I'm not sure if they're regulated size wise,
but they're a little dark media but not bad. Hey, look,
you know what, you can take them home. You can
let them go. I had trips. I had trips a
while ago, a couple of seasons ago, where we'd catch
(36:48):
two hundred of them on the party boat.
Speaker 4 (36:49):
I mean, people walk off the boat.
Speaker 13 (36:51):
Yeah, and knuckles are scraping the ground. They're so tired
from catching fish. So finding them is the issue at times.
But that's one of the coolest things. The big jacks
two start to show up. We haven't really fished them much,
you know, for us to do it you got to
have the right conditions. But you can go out and
do they tell you want Eric right, you guys know
where the jacks.
Speaker 5 (37:07):
Eric loves it.
Speaker 4 (37:08):
I'll pass. I use my taser on that fish. First
of all. My real a lot easier down below. And
to bring up this floating blob.
Speaker 5 (37:19):
Let me ask you, though, don't you think it's fun
catching them?
Speaker 4 (37:22):
Though?
Speaker 5 (37:22):
Like sometimes start Trek voice, they are fun?
Speaker 7 (37:28):
What does it feel like to catch those alien looking
monster fish called amber?
Speaker 4 (37:35):
Funny?
Speaker 13 (37:35):
We actually have some customers that fish fishing with electric reels.
Speaker 5 (37:40):
It's it's kind of cool cool.
Speaker 4 (37:42):
Give me a brank, Wayne.
Speaker 5 (37:43):
Come on, I hear you. I hear you like.
Speaker 4 (37:49):
And they hurt you, hurt you? Okay, they heard.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
I got a question here for for mister Kahn. The
customers that come with us a big electric those electric
reels they have to bring like an extern. I don't matter.
Is it all built into the rock?
Speaker 4 (38:01):
No?
Speaker 13 (38:01):
They got man, this These these things are so cool.
And actually I missed out on the I'm a I
do test stuff for pen which is kind of cool.
Speaker 5 (38:09):
They give me all kinds of.
Speaker 4 (38:10):
Stuff to check out. Beat up, you know.
Speaker 13 (38:12):
Yeah, so it's pretty neat but I missed out on
this somehow, and I beat them up for that because I.
Speaker 4 (38:16):
Love these little things a little. The little battery weighs
a couple of pounds.
Speaker 13 (38:20):
And so let's say I'm gonna go old school about
a three oh or four O size reel. I don't
even know what you call that, but you know, a
mid size reel right on, I guess nowadays it would
be at twenty to thirty pound blank something like that.
And you could put twenty pounds, thirty pound, forty pound
bread on them, the whole.
Speaker 4 (38:37):
Six seven hundred yards of line.
Speaker 13 (38:39):
Yeah, and they rip, they rip, and it's got to
handle on it, so you fight it, so you get
tired of fighting it. Yeah, and you flip the switch
on when you sit back and sip your beer or whatever,
just to get a rod holder if you want.
Speaker 5 (38:49):
That's you get a lot of people though that bring that.
Speaker 4 (38:53):
With the electric man. I'm sorry, dude.
Speaker 13 (38:55):
I've never tried one. I know the guys that do
long range trips in water, of course, but you know what,
if you're out there fishing for for let's say you
want to catch you know, queen snappers, and in the
middle of Gulf of Mexico. Sure, you know there's some
guys that run the long range trips from Key West
and all that. You know, those reels are amazing. You're
dropping a jig, You're dropping a pounds and a half
(39:16):
jig and eight hundred feet of water. You know, dropping
it's fun, it's winding it up spro So.
Speaker 4 (39:22):
I know Boucher, your friend Boucher, of course he like
to got his boat, okay, and my sons would be
glad to use the figure button to adjust the electric speed.
I wouldn't touch it.
Speaker 5 (39:34):
Her son's jacked. Why would he do that?
Speaker 4 (39:36):
I don't know. Man, he's just maybe a litt lazy
day I got.
Speaker 13 (39:39):
It's a sore spot for me when I see a
million dollar boats or thereabouts. They got four five thousand
dollars electric reels off. They're doing eighteen knots and they
catch twenty waho's all on these electrics and beat your
chest like they did something.
Speaker 5 (39:54):
Well, just go shoot a cow man, Come on, I mean,
I'm with you.
Speaker 4 (39:59):
That's not mee. That's the advanta.
Speaker 5 (40:01):
After all, If they got then they give wait a second,
wait a second.
Speaker 13 (40:04):
Way then they get into the dock and they give
them away and then they beat their chest more like,
is it all about.
Speaker 4 (40:10):
The picture, one of those guys.
Speaker 5 (40:13):
It's just one of those things, man, photos everything.
Speaker 11 (40:16):
Yeah, we know.
Speaker 5 (40:17):
Eric, Eric catches the same peacock bass every day. Popplo
there you go, and it's beautiful. He tries to make
them look like five pounds. Reality is two pounds.
Speaker 4 (40:28):
And I held him way out for the camera.
Speaker 13 (40:31):
Yeah, like it's called it's called long arm, Larry, that's
what it is.
Speaker 40 (40:35):
You arm, Lario, warm armary long arm. Not warm arm,
warm long arm, long arm. Sorry, Joe, there you go here,
I got something for you. Try one of these.
Speaker 4 (40:49):
All this spock man, Yeah, spuck here anyway, way, now
you head out today, money or what? Man work?
Speaker 13 (40:55):
I'm not myself personally. The boat's gonna be going now.
Uh hey, listen, why don't we do it? You know
we need to do, man, we need to do We
got to get together and do an event something like that. Man,
see if you can go maybe through the show. I
don't know if you could do that. We'll take tick
the first thirty thirty kids and adults whatever, do something
like that.
Speaker 5 (41:12):
We'll do an event with you guys. I think could
be fun. Man, that'd be great.
Speaker 4 (41:15):
I have a great idea.
Speaker 11 (41:16):
Let's do it.
Speaker 4 (41:17):
Why are we doing like an entry contest and invite
our listeners to fish with there and Steve O okay, yeah,
let's go find them on a boat. Right, you'll give
a cut rain deal like free. Okay, we'll take care
of that. Yeah, and they'll fish.
Speaker 5 (41:31):
I'll throw your trip, brother, I'll draw you a trip.
I'll trow your trip man trip for our listeners.
Speaker 3 (41:35):
Well, I was like, does that boat ever go out
early in the morning, like this time of the morning.
That's too early?
Speaker 13 (41:40):
I could No, I could. Actually I was scheduled to
do a trip today, which is strange. Usually when I
run the trip, I got to turn people away. I'll
carry fifteen eighteen people and we got a boat there.
It's almost sixty but it's fine for fifteen twenty people.
Speaker 4 (41:54):
You know, the big boat carries a bunch more.
Speaker 5 (41:55):
But no, I got no problem leaving a daybreak with
how trip.
Speaker 3 (42:00):
How's far off show do you typically go?
Speaker 13 (42:01):
You know, you know, I don't think golf, shark fishing
off Miami's all of that. It's just because of the
time it takes to get out, Like, you know, if
you're gonna go like dolphin fishing. You gotta do it at
the right time of the year and right now. If
you're going to try to catch any offshore fish, I'd
rather do it the last two three hours of the
afternoon and you don't have to go out too far.
Speaker 3 (42:19):
That's good because I was just thinking, if we just
had enough too much of air, can just jump off
the boat and head back.
Speaker 5 (42:23):
So wow, I got a life raft, man, I got
a life raft.
Speaker 4 (42:26):
On the top of a long road. Yeah way, we
got a man behind you, man, So thanks so much
for the reward fishing.
Speaker 5 (42:33):
We got to do that though, you show. Let's do
a promo. Let's do a promo man, Okay, all right,
all right, but we're ready.
Speaker 4 (42:40):
All right, gentlemen, I have a beautiful day.
Speaker 5 (42:41):
Hey Dwayne captain, do your bloopfloop.
Speaker 4 (42:44):
We have a gym waiting on line one. Oh yeah,
you blip it up a little bit. I wish you
could see your face like when you're doing that. You
made easially goofy. Look at facial boom. It looks like
moving like some god way retarded fish. Here's the brain
(43:10):
hole of sass of that line.
Speaker 6 (43:11):
Wondering there's a clone of Jim is Jim there is.
Speaker 10 (43:20):
Are we listen?
Speaker 14 (43:21):
Are we gonna start with that today?
Speaker 4 (43:23):
Come on, I will start with the what's set, what's
left with the bugs, and we'll pick on whatever else.
Speaker 5 (43:29):
This is why you don't give you Eric, This is why.
Speaker 41 (43:33):
I'm glad you brought that up, because the things are
thinning out for sure.
Speaker 11 (43:38):
Good.
Speaker 41 (43:38):
I was with my buddy Marshall on Thursday. Yes, he
owns Miser Marina in Deerfield Beach and uh he has
a thirty foot Parker. Nice nice uh nice dive. It
got it got a little windy in the afternoon. But
one season one season one, one, one one. We had
(44:00):
to work hard. No, we did get our limit. I
just want to let you know. We did get our limit.
Course you could, but we had to work hard for them,
you know. And they're still in the thirty five to forty.
Speaker 10 (44:16):
Five foot.
Speaker 5 (44:19):
But here's what's happening is a couple of weeks ago,
you know.
Speaker 41 (44:23):
We would see him cluster it up and you see
one big male and a bunch of little females and whatever.
Now every female you catch has what's called the tar spot,
you know. Yeah, they went to Las Vegas. They did
the wild thing and then they came back, so that's
(44:44):
the reason why they do cluster together. Okay, so what's
happened is that clustering's over with and we're actually seeing now.
Speaker 14 (44:53):
Females with eggs.
Speaker 41 (44:55):
So we had several of those that we obviously with
eggs you have to let them go.
Speaker 14 (45:00):
But we're definitely at the end.
Speaker 10 (45:02):
Of the season.
Speaker 41 (45:04):
That's the reason why April first, you can't catch any
lobsters anymore because they are definitely you know, the species
is getting together, doing their wild thing and and laying
more eggs. So that's why we're kind of off now
until the end of July. I gave you a little
(45:27):
lesson in you know, boys and girls in lobster world.
Speaker 5 (45:30):
Okay, him, when does howks? When does howg season start?
Speaker 41 (45:36):
May first is hog and season?
Speaker 10 (45:41):
Yeah, and we really haven't.
Speaker 41 (45:42):
I mean, god, we were seeing a bunch of the
big hogs, big ones. I haven't seen them on Thursday,
and even the grouper, but I think they're a little
out deeper. Yeah, So we've been staying mainly in the
shallow stuff, the thirty five forty five foot stuff. We'll
be out today today would be a really nice day.
(46:04):
All right, it'll be kind of fun. We'll be off
of popping a loaded by the sea. We'll probably be
in that shallow stuff again. But again we're expecting onesies
and onesies and onesies, A lot of onesies, all right, Eric,
a lot of onesies once.
Speaker 4 (46:20):
All right on, that's like a flaris you count onesie. Yeah, Jim,
were going to rock the clock man, but have a
great time today. Go catch a few more. And uh thanks, Jim,
got that one fish spirit of the brain hole.
Speaker 5 (46:33):
Oh we did get a nice mountain.
Speaker 4 (46:34):
We did.
Speaker 5 (46:35):
We did get a nice mountain.
Speaker 41 (46:37):
But he wasn't through his brain hole.
Speaker 4 (46:40):
Okay, and I don't have you not, Jim, goodbye, Take care,
take care right? All right, So it's side for the
start start by bucket, which is loaded with wash wax,
deck cleaner, shiner made America, America, best stuff ever made. Man,
it would probably shot up that start ship enterprise like you.
Speaker 5 (46:59):
Wouldn't believe it's a starship not starkship.
Speaker 4 (47:01):
Okay, start sound like start ship, start starship Okay, whatever.
So here's the trivite question. Eight six six eight oh
one zero nine four zero ready yeah, eight six six
eight one it's forty if you spell Lee backwards, what
would that be?
Speaker 5 (47:20):
Joe Shark? There's no multiple choices here?
Speaker 4 (47:22):
Okay. If you can't figure this work, then you don't belong,
you know, on the planet because this is just too
damn easy.
Speaker 5 (47:29):
Okay, Eric, Sorry, what's the multip choice?
Speaker 4 (47:33):
Are you just that I didn't give any multiple choices?
Speaker 8 (47:35):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (47:35):
I said them. I thank to you guys. No multiple choices.
Only a something asked could figure this out. Okay, Right,
So if you spell Lee backwards, what fish for toothy fish?
Would that be? Okay?
Speaker 5 (47:49):
Starship God.
Speaker 4 (47:52):
Enterprise eight six six eighth one zero nine four zero.

Speaker 4 (55:08):

Joey's water.
Speaker 3 (55:12):
I bet she's on the water.
Speaker 4 (55:13):
Oh yeah, he is. Let's take a bet.
Speaker 5 (55:15):
All right, captain shows.
Speaker 11 (55:20):
Thank you? What's going on?
Speaker 12 (55:24):
Is that?
Speaker 11 (55:24):
Bud?
Speaker 4 (55:24):
Is that your Kirk impression the Shawn? That's pretty good?
Speaker 9 (55:27):
That your no?
Speaker 11 (55:27):
That that was when I said, sewn so I normally, uh.
Speaker 4 (55:34):
Are you? I know you're kind of young guy. Did
you ever watch Star Trek back in the day of
their showing at all?
Speaker 11 (55:41):
I watched Return of the Jedi. You know that's probably
about my limit of it.
Speaker 4 (55:45):
I don't even know the different wars. Oh my god.
Speaker 11 (55:48):
Yeah, see, I mean you know the difference.
Speaker 4 (55:49):
That's my level of interest in it.
Speaker 11 (55:52):
I mean I think you're the same, right, Joe.
Speaker 4 (55:54):
No, I didn't ask that question. Sean, don't do this.
Speaker 11 (55:57):
Don't Star Wars Trek, right.
Speaker 7 (55:59):
Don't do this to med Sean.
Speaker 4 (56:03):
You've been in the sun way too long. Man, All right, buddy,
So more are you on the water or what are
you doing?
Speaker 37 (56:08):
Man?
Speaker 11 (56:08):
Oh yeah, I'm on the water for sure.
Speaker 9 (56:10):
Man.
Speaker 11 (56:10):
It's a little boat out here, but I'm here.
Speaker 4 (56:12):
Yep, yeah, man, no doubt about it. Yeah, yack inter
voting today.
Speaker 11 (56:17):
I am in the boat. Am gonna be for a
little bit here. My uh my kayak is at Nautical
Ventures for a little spring tune up. So I'm gonna
get ready for the tournament season, get all tuned up
and uh yeah, a little boat fishing for the next
few weeks.
Speaker 5 (56:32):
I saw this sailfish you got.
Speaker 11 (56:34):
Yeah, mm hmm yeah. I was a welcome delay yesterday morning,
so I'm gonna got really rough out I came in.
Speaker 3 (56:42):
So I want to ask Sean a question because folks
don't realize that Nautical Ventures just doesn't sell boats. They're
also about maintaining them and and you know, keeping owners happy.
What kind of maintenance there tune up do you do
on a on a kayak.
Speaker 11 (56:55):
Mainly the pedal drive system, and then on the kayak itself,
the the steering and rudder tables and stuff like that.
But The main thing is the dry systems. That a
mechanical just in there. There's cables and chains and belts
and all kinds of stuff. But that's one thing I
want to point out too, Like if you go to
these big box stores and buy these off rand Kay accents,
you have a problem. Yeah, nobody go to Yeah good luck. Yeah.
(57:19):
Having the local dealers support, like Nautical Ventures up and
down the East Coast is key. Is they are the
go to place for.
Speaker 4 (57:26):
Fun in the water. Right, great pug man, we'd love
that kind of stuff. Shot these great guys. They pay
for the show and we appreciate it very much. What
are you targeting out there today? What's what's look for? Selfish?
Speaker 11 (57:37):
H I know we got some kids with this. We're
going to anchor up to a ball here, put the
chump back out, try and get some snappers and do
some beat. Yeah, that was a little fun day.
Speaker 5 (57:48):
Little tip. I don't know if I should throw this
on the radio.
Speaker 4 (57:52):
I should go all right, I'll do it. Nothing secret here, Joe, So.
Speaker 5 (57:55):
Sean, if you go to the if you go to
the last Booie.
Speaker 11 (57:59):
Ball, No, don't thar that on the radio.
Speaker 3 (58:02):
Yeah, you're right, never mind, are you giving out tips.
Speaker 11 (58:07):
Don't throar that on the radio.
Speaker 4 (58:08):
You put a hot ball tip, Joe, No, I was
just kidding a hot hot ball out there.
Speaker 11 (58:14):
Joe's going to tell you where the speedos are.
Speaker 4 (58:17):
Yeah, great fire. So when you're tied for these fishing balls,
I normally throw a chunk back out. You look what
yellow tail come up there and puffs and puffs.
Speaker 11 (58:27):
A little oh yeah, yellowtail, and then we'll go stition
with despuitos? Is the goal.
Speaker 4 (58:34):
Speedos? I know, Joe, But I mean as far as bait,
they make great bait.
Speaker 7 (58:40):
So how would you hook a speedo because I get
that actually from people.
Speaker 4 (58:47):
A lot of hooks, long fit, a lot of hooks.
Speaker 11 (58:51):
No, basically your regular stinger rig was an extra one
tight on the back of it. That's how I do it.
Speaker 4 (58:57):
Very cool man, very nice. And what normally with his fo?
I mean, what what's the targeting speedos?
Speaker 8 (59:02):
Wah?
Speaker 9 (59:02):
Who?
Speaker 11 (59:02):
I mean.
Speaker 4 (59:05):
Everything everything big? Big? Yeah, I mean spidos are on
a small bait anyways, they're a big bait.
Speaker 5 (59:10):
Yeah they're big man.
Speaker 4 (59:11):
No, they're big, they're big bait man. Yeah, very cool man.
So you're out whereabouts are you today?
Speaker 11 (59:18):
Yeah? Always got to keep it to represent, you know,
keep it home. Down there you.
Speaker 4 (59:24):
Go popping baby popping, popping pop popping, straight out of pomp.
Why are you correcting all my words today? Every time
I say, because I'm a broadcaster, I should be able
to speak.
Speaker 5 (59:38):
Here we go, we go with.
Speaker 11 (59:41):
Your It does have the voice, you know.

We're no man and woman has gone before.
Speaker 4 (01:05:29):
Joe. Very well done, I must tell you. Ben k
Kirk Characters is the very beginning of the show. Yes, thanks,
and it's actually getting better as well as the worst.
Speaker 5 (01:05:37):
Oh appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (01:05:38):
It's getting much better. Thank you. A nice job, Yes,
super job. Let's beam up Benny shallly, Sure it's beaming
Benny's fishing charters. Okay, bet hey yo. Beat me up, Scottie, y'all,
he's a Trekky fan. Beat up Scottie Hey doing Benny,
Good morning to you, buddy.
Speaker 32 (01:05:59):
How was that in an episode of Star Trek back
in the day?
Speaker 5 (01:06:03):
What?
Speaker 32 (01:06:04):
But it was one of those made up ones And
when you go to Universal with your dad and they
put you in like the green screen and put you
in the in the in like, uh, have you ever
seen that?
Speaker 5 (01:06:14):
No?
Speaker 4 (01:06:14):
No, I haven't seen that. Sounds very cool.
Speaker 32 (01:06:16):
I gotta find this. It's like a VHF. I think
I was like eleven years old. I put the little
fake ears on.
Speaker 4 (01:06:22):
Oh yeah, were you like Spot because you were playing Spot?
Then I don't need I'm not a trek you so
I wouldn't know.
Speaker 32 (01:06:29):
I'm just playing the role right now.
Speaker 4 (01:06:32):
You are ears on, Joe. He was definitely spoking yeah right, yeah. Anyway,
so we're doing a little fun day with this whole thing,
and half the audience, if you're if you're under the
age of you know, thirty, you have no idea what
we're talking about.
Speaker 3 (01:06:45):
No, it's more like sixty, all right.
Speaker 4 (01:06:46):
Sixty, thanks Steve Ough. Anyway, half the audience has no
idea what struck Trek is it. Half does, but away
Betty's got sort of an inkling of it because his
dad's have been dressed up in Yeah, spock ears in
front of a green screen. Okay, trauma ties the hell
out of it as a kid, Like, what do you
do it? Dad? The ears or what? Man? Anyway, what's
(01:07:08):
your catching, Benny? What's going on, buddy man?
Speaker 32 (01:07:11):
Yeah, I mean it's still primetime sail fishing out here
right now. You know, the conditions are perfect for it.
The weather has been perfect for it to swell, offshore
has been perfect for it. So it's uh, you know,
sailfish has been the hot topic for us still. We've
been focusing on on them pretty much every day and
considering everything else by catch. So, you know, still been
(01:07:34):
picking out a few few other fish. Yesterday we got
some wahoo.
Speaker 4 (01:07:39):
You know.
Speaker 32 (01:07:40):
The pelagics are, like I've been saying every week, a
little hit or missed for us still.
Speaker 4 (01:07:46):
But I mean that that that.
Speaker 32 (01:07:47):
Spring bite's coming. Man, We sense it. It's coming real soon.
Maybe another two weeks and we're gonna be a full
fledged springtime fishing through here.
Speaker 4 (01:07:56):
Nice. Just feel it every day.
Speaker 32 (01:07:58):
Getting a little better and a little better.
Speaker 4 (01:08:00):
Benny. You know, shellfish are great. I've caught a whole
bunch of my life and right now at this point,
in my time. I'd rather just hand a rod off
somebody else. I've got a hole a load of those stings.
I like meatfish, that's my thing. I'm a meat guy.
Bring me back some stuff like throwing a grilled joey,
you know what I mean. Yeah, I want to do man,
So any any good meat meat's been hitting the hooks
or what? Yeah?
Speaker 32 (01:08:20):
Yeah, I mean when it comes to meat again, we're
we're more on the pelagic side of things as far
as meat fish, Mahi tuna, wahu kingfish.
Speaker 4 (01:08:29):
But again, the.
Speaker 32 (01:08:30):
Wahoo's been the hot topic as far as meat goes
nice and we have picked off a couple this week.
I mean, when it comes to meat, there's a bunch
of things we could do here as a backup plan.
We had a couple of trips this week where we
had some young kids. We put them on the reef for.
Speaker 4 (01:08:43):
A little bit. Let the little kids just.
Speaker 32 (01:08:45):
Pick out some small bottom fish and they got a
little bag of some white meat scale fish to.
Speaker 4 (01:08:49):
Go home with. You know, you got conditions what white
meat scale fish?
Speaker 32 (01:08:54):
Yeah, like poor geese, snappers, grunts, Okay, you know, all
the white meat bottom fish with scales from the from
the bottom.
Speaker 4 (01:09:01):
And guys don't realize you can actually gruts. Remember the
snapper family, They're they're not really good, you know.
Speaker 32 (01:09:07):
I mean the only the only negative thing with grunts
they have their meat is just like snapper, the whole
bottom rib cage, the whole bottom rib cage on a
grunt takes up half the file at So that's the
negative thing about a grunt. You get you only get
that good top onina, right.
Speaker 4 (01:09:24):
That's why with a grunt I would just actually just
got it, Joe and probably just pan fry it, you
know what I mean. Yeah, the damn thing. I just
thought they throw the pan, give it a good cook
or deep fry it whatever.
Speaker 5 (01:09:34):
I would.
Speaker 4 (01:09:36):
Yeah. Yeah, Actually, when folks have ever caught a grunt,
by the way, when you bring them up, they cut
that in for a reason. Actually, yeah, whoa, you did that,
good man.
Speaker 32 (01:09:49):
Maybe we should do a whole series on grunts. They're
like one of the most sought after fish out there,
you know.
Speaker 7 (01:09:54):
Heck yeah, man, Yeah, kids love the grunts they do.
Speaker 4 (01:10:00):
They do, man, Ben and a Rod Joey. Yeah. So anyway,
Betty saw all you guys got the boats off shore
today was who's everybody that Mike's Savage out there do
this thing.
Speaker 32 (01:10:10):
Yeah, yeah, Mike Savage is out there working today. Tyler's
out there working today. We're rocking and rolling. We got
the spring Breakers down here. You know, they're coming down,
having a great time, messing up the boats, spilling potato
chips all over the place, you know, just spilling drinks everywhere.
Speaker 4 (01:10:27):
We're having a bust man barfing on your boat.
Speaker 7 (01:10:29):
I'm assuming you're not giving them jigs right.
Speaker 4 (01:10:33):
No, No, those guys are jigging. They'll be hooking each other. Oh,
by the way, Betty st real funny coming up. I
gave Joe the segment last week. I think I said
to you as well on the live feed of the
fly Rod story.
Speaker 5 (01:10:45):
Oh and that's going up, by the way, that was
such a going up this weekend.
Speaker 4 (01:10:48):
When Betty brought that up, Man you read with he said, Yeah,
he said, Betty, I gotta.
Speaker 5 (01:10:52):
Hear more about I had to hear more.
Speaker 4 (01:10:54):
I mean that was I watched the play back. That
was a funny segment, Betty. I can say, Man, that
just cracked me up. Dude, funny. You see the stuff
we deal with out here.
Speaker 7 (01:11:05):
What's another you know, since we got we got a
little bit of time, just a minute, Okay, Benny, what's
another like crazy story that you have from another charter
like that a guy that's come on the boat or whatever.
Speaker 32 (01:11:17):
So I mean, we're we're talking spring break and spring
breakers right now. So you know, we had and again
I could probably come up with a bunch of different stories,
but just because this is on my mind, Yeah, we
had a bunch of kids on the boat. And then
they're out there with Captain Mike. He's so laid back
and calm and chill, like you know, if if stuff
starts going wrong and stuff starts hitting the fan, I
(01:11:39):
get louding and aggressive, and I'm you know, you know.
Speaker 4 (01:11:42):
What time it is with me. He's on the boat.
Speaker 32 (01:11:44):
He's letting the kids have a good time. They're dancing.
One kid like did a mosh pit into the other
kid and and like hit him like right into the
tea top and they just like split the zipper on
our twenty five hundred dollars, oh you know, eyes and
glass tea top and.
Speaker 9 (01:12:03):
Off.
Speaker 4 (01:12:03):
Yeah, and like that did he throw them off paycheck?
Speaker 5 (01:12:08):
No?
Speaker 32 (01:12:08):
No again, Mike's Mike's real common chill. He told him
to chill out. They chilled out. They came back in
and I think the zippers still broken. I don't even
think we ever fixed it. But just the point spring
break rowdy kids.
Speaker 4 (01:12:21):
Yeah, to keep in mind, kids, are these like college
age kids were talking about?
Speaker 32 (01:12:27):
Well, yeah, I guess they're not kids anymore. I mean
when I was that age, I thought I was a
grown man. I thought I knew everything. But now I'm
forty and I look back and are some of the
babes out there dressed?
Speaker 4 (01:12:35):
And he's only skippy bikinis and we're just brilliant to
come with Tata. It's that time of the year for sure.
Speaker 5 (01:12:42):
Did you just say tata?
Speaker 4 (01:12:44):
Tata? Yeah? You really just said that's a nickname for
a boob? Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, Okay, disgusting is like
a nickname for a boob. Okay, Joe, huh so you
actually steal? Don't use it one day? Okay, yeah, okay.
Speaker 5 (01:12:58):
Anyway, Benny, have you ever heard like a grown man
say tata?
Speaker 32 (01:13:02):
Now it's usually like the little kid that's still sucking
on the nipple.
Speaker 4 (01:13:05):
Yes, thanks Benny, Thanks Benny, But I have my as
so that one man. I really appreciate you, buddy, Thank
you very much. We're going to rock the clock, Bay.
I have a group every weekend.
Speaker 3 (01:13:18):
Oh now, just throw Benny off because you didn't like
what he's saying.
Speaker 4 (01:13:21):
The clock Joe asked that last question.
Speaker 3 (01:13:22):
But now I smell what the rock is cooking.
Speaker 4 (01:13:24):
Yeah, my minutes. If you get any good photos of
some Tatas on the boat, you have my number, shoot
me a photo, all right, thank you very much.

Good morning, Norm, Hey doing buddy boy?
Speaker 5 (01:19:56):
Hey Norm? How's it going?
Speaker 3 (01:19:59):
What's up?
Speaker 10 (01:20:00):
Ladies?
Speaker 4 (01:20:01):
I always loved that little jab So we was dressed
in uh Star Trek attire celebrating William Shatner's ninety fourth birthday.
Captain James T. Kirk, were you ever a fan of
that show back in the day? Norm at All?
Speaker 51 (01:20:14):
Oh yeah, I mean when I was a kid, I
love Star Trek.
Speaker 4 (01:20:17):
Yeah. Now we got a trekky here. Okay, who is
your favorite character? Was it Sulu? I was it Spock?
I mean it was your who's your go to guy
or lady? Whatever? Grace Lee Whitney. Grace Lee Whitney, was
she the chick with the big yeah communicator out of
(01:20:38):
her ear hole? Is that the one? No? No, no,
she was? She was she was the yeoman, the oh yeoman. Okay,
so she had some kind of special thing that caught
your eyeball, like maybe was some some big tasers or
what you have? She has some big Oh you know,
I've just said the same.
Speaker 3 (01:20:58):
Thing because you said it, because you said okay, you
heard it? Hey, Norm. By the way, if you guys
follow Norm. He had some pictures of some beautiful spring
breakers on Was that your boat, Norm or someone else's?
Speaker 4 (01:21:16):
No, that was the boat next to me. I saw them.
I saw this commentary like, well, I never get charters
like that. As what Norm said, it's a ship full
of chicks men. It was like loaded from a Bowti stern.
Speaker 3 (01:21:29):
Man, and they're all greasing each other up and.
Speaker 4 (01:21:31):
Everything, rubbing each other oil and stuff. It was quite
the show man anyway. That's Norm Fishwise and Brower County.
What's been poppingary? Brother?
Speaker 51 (01:21:40):
You know, nature has its own calendar, and it depends
on where you are located. That determines how that calendar
manifests itself. For example, if you're in Washington see and
it's springtime. You get the terry blossoms. If you're in
(01:22:01):
Georgia when the you know, spring shows up and you
see the hummingbirds. Okay, And in South Florida, you know
it's spring when the silver mullets show up. See yep,
that's there is a spring silver mullet run. It's one
(01:22:22):
of the best kept secrets in South Florida. And they
showed up this last week and there was silver mullets everywhere,
big giant schools of silver molts.
Speaker 5 (01:22:34):
Wow.
Speaker 51 (01:22:35):
And when that happens, you know it's spring. And the
fishing is springtime fishing.
Speaker 11 (01:22:43):
And you've got.
Speaker 51 (01:22:44):
Big giant tarpins. There's lots of tarpin big fish one
hundred and eighty plus founders be caught right now. If
you want to get great, big tarpain in South Florida,
this is one of the best times to go right now.
Speaker 4 (01:22:58):
Uh yep, offshore.
Speaker 51 (01:23:01):
And if you get a well full of those mullets,
take them offshore. You don't need your godlivees, you don't
need your pilchers. You take a well full of those
silver mullets. Okay, you go out, you go out there.
You can hang them out of your kite there's some
of the best kite baits. Okay, you catch lots of selfish.
The selfish bite this week was really good and there
(01:23:23):
were lots of fish being caught this week.
Speaker 4 (01:23:26):
Of course, we had.
Speaker 51 (01:23:26):
Another cold front that that came through and just like
they've been doing, as soon as that wind switches to
the northwest to start biting right on the plane and
this this last week was no exception. Some black pins yep,
some black men too this showing up. We had a
(01:23:47):
pretty fair wahoo bite this last week as well, and
the vermilion snappers bit pretty good on the bottom this week. Know,
so it was that that was pretty much the mainstay
of our fashing this week. Uh and uh it's it
was just a really good, you know, a really good
(01:24:09):
bite this week.
Speaker 5 (01:24:10):
An any size to the yeah, uh.
Speaker 51 (01:24:14):
Not too many big ones just yet, mostly small the mediums,
a few decent ones, a few my my showing up
as well. But uh, you know, it was it was,
you know, pretty much pretty much our springtime pattern. Just
none of the big the great bomber black fans that
(01:24:37):
we've seen yet, Right, Joe.
Speaker 5 (01:24:42):
To be excited for spring Man for me, super Man,
the best, A.
Speaker 4 (01:24:47):
Great report is also a big star Trek fan, so
it kind of fits with the whole theme of the show.
That's running up to you. Your shirt off on my
dad five minutes ago ruined the whole thing. You have
just actually nuked yourself doing any further James Kirk impressions.
It's a shirta it on. You're not doing Kirk. But
I'm doing Kirk. I'm doing logic. I'm doing Kirk. Dress
of the show. That's you can't do Kirk. That's not logical.
Speaker 5 (01:25:11):
You sound like a guy.
Speaker 3 (01:25:12):
You can It's not happening.
Speaker 4 (01:25:14):
I gotta admit I neither.
Speaker 5 (01:25:15):
Wow, Penny just looked at you and then shook her head.
Speaker 3 (01:25:18):
It sounds it sounds a more like Captain jerk.
Speaker 4 (01:25:21):
All right, thank you, Steve Nor, thanks so much. Man,
have a fine weekend on the finest ky buddy boy.
Thanks Norm.
Speaker 5 (01:25:28):
It got long and proper, you too.
Speaker 4 (01:25:31):
Bro, Thanks so much. Let's go check out our favorite
guy man does tarf and fishing, bass fishing, and he's
got some serious opinions about these knuckleheads who are taking
over Lake Ida. You don't think they're all a charter captain.
Now that's the whole long story. Oh, yeah, man, Johnny,
Johnny Stabill, Hey Johnny, Hey.
Speaker 5 (01:25:54):
Johnny, Hello Johnny.
Speaker 4 (01:26:00):
Okay, we'll call him back. So, yeah, Johnny and I
were talking a couple of days ago, and no, he
was actually showed me some photos of some bang at
Peacock Bass.
Speaker 8 (01:26:10):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (01:26:11):
So he didn't mention Ida, but he's kind of pissed
off at Ida because of all the shenanigans out there
going on where everybody's on a boat. I know, they
all think they're a freaking charter captain up. Yeah, and
they're all picking off each other and just kind of,
I don't know, kind of ruining the whole charter thing
out there. Man. You know there's guys like Johnny with
the time in and the years experience and experience, but
(01:26:32):
how are they ruining it?
Speaker 3 (01:26:33):
Though they like getting close to other people's boats.
Speaker 5 (01:26:36):
Yeah, Well, the problem is it's a lake. It's not
like you're charter fishing in the ocean.
Speaker 4 (01:26:39):
So, like, Johnny's back in the horn here, let's say, hi,
did Johnny?
Speaker 5 (01:26:43):
Okay, and hello Johnny.
Speaker 4 (01:26:45):
We're just talking Johnny picking up a safe story about
these guys, these guys who go out there and bring
their boat out there and think they're automatically a captain
and just you know, kind of screwing up the whole industry.
But anyway, that was what we were talking about the
break there.
Speaker 5 (01:26:58):
You sure you want to dive down that.
Speaker 4 (01:27:00):
I was talking with Johnny about that. There's some valid point, man. Yeah,
the guys who fail, their dudes like Johnny should be
the guys should be chartering, not a guy for seventy
five bucks. And you know, half a beg of peanuts, peanuts,
whatever you Johnny? What else?
Speaker 3 (01:27:14):
Somebody just wants to go fishing on the lake.
Speaker 4 (01:27:16):
Eric, let's Johnny jump it, shall we? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:27:20):
Johnny, good morning guys.
Speaker 12 (01:27:22):
How are you doing today?
Speaker 5 (01:27:23):
Doing good? Eric wants to get you cranky, so I
guess that's his goal here.
Speaker 12 (01:27:28):
You know, here's the deal. I'm in a great mood.
Today is my first day off, and.
Speaker 5 (01:27:34):
He ruined it.
Speaker 52 (01:27:35):
No no, no, no, no no.
Speaker 12 (01:27:38):
Today is my first half.
Speaker 52 (01:27:39):
I've been running doubles and doubles and doubles for days.
It's been the best spring season of charter fishing that
I've ever seen with customers. However, the fishing is lacking
just a little bit. We could dive into that in
a minute, but you know, I'm going to touch on
what Eric said, just real quick, thank you, and then
(01:28:02):
I'm gonna and then I'm gonna drop it. We're gonna
talk about fishing, because this is a fishing show and
it's not about me complaining about the world's problems. Okay,
there's here's the deal. Okay, if you're gonna book a guide,
you want that guide to have.
Speaker 12 (01:28:18):
A captain's license.
Speaker 52 (01:28:20):
You want him to have high end gears so that way,
when you catch your trophy fish, you get that fish
to the boat. You want a captain that has twenty.
Speaker 12 (01:28:31):
Years, not twenty years experience.
Speaker 52 (01:28:33):
But I have been fishing that lake for twenty years,
since I was fourteen years old. I'm thirty four years old.
Speaker 12 (01:28:42):
You know, those are the things you want.
Speaker 52 (01:28:43):
You want someone that's got a nice boat that's clean
when you show up, not a john boat that you
know was pulled off the side of somebody's house.
Speaker 12 (01:28:53):
I mean, you know, I get it.
Speaker 52 (01:28:56):
Like some people don't have the means to go and
and buy a nice, nice boat.
Speaker 12 (01:29:00):
I understand that. But if you have a boat, you know.
Speaker 52 (01:29:02):
Keep it clean, look, make it look right, have your
your rods freshly spooled with new line all the time, like, do.
Speaker 12 (01:29:10):
The best you can with what with what you have?
Speaker 52 (01:29:13):
And I I run a high class service. I have
a nice vote, nice gear, all top of the line stuff.
Speaker 12 (01:29:21):
And then you got me. I mean, you can't beat me.
Speaker 5 (01:29:25):
It's true.
Speaker 7 (01:29:25):
Johnny gives me a hug before every time he's every yeah,
I get a nice hug.
Speaker 3 (01:29:31):
So, Johnny, some half assed captains out there are fake
captains trying to, you know, take advantage of people.
Speaker 52 (01:29:38):
Oh my gosh, there's a ton of them. And there's
new ones showing up every week. I see a new
guy out there, I'm like.
Speaker 4 (01:29:44):
Here we go. See he has my back. I have
a great point. He just validated it. So that's why
I brought it up. Okay, now, Johnny, wait, I got
one question.
Speaker 5 (01:29:55):
I got to ask him one question for just one question.
Speaker 7 (01:29:58):
So Johnny in a per world, right, how do you
fix the problem?
Speaker 4 (01:30:05):
Though, Oh, that's not a minute half questions?
Speaker 5 (01:30:08):
But isn't that a good question?
Speaker 4 (01:30:09):
I've been an answer man, Come on, dude.
Speaker 52 (01:30:11):
What it's a good question that I really don't know
how to answer right this moment. Good, But let's jump
into just a quick thirty second fishing report.
Speaker 4 (01:30:24):
Here that's.
Speaker 52 (01:30:27):
So don't even bother fishing Lake Eye of this week.
It's it's been tough. We we fished six hours. Yeah,
we fished six hours yesterday and we got sixteen peacocks
in the boat and we grinded for them.
Speaker 12 (01:30:44):
Live bait was the key. Go to the Everglades.
Speaker 52 (01:30:48):
You can catch two hundred fish out there and in
the same time oscars, mions, jaguars, cichlids, large mouthed.
Speaker 12 (01:30:57):
Bass, some peacocks.
Speaker 52 (01:30:59):
The peacocks is what everybody comes to Florida and what
they want, and it is the most scarce fish right now.
They've been under a lot of pressure with weather and
fishing and people just hammering them. I mean, those fish, unfortunately,
do not.
Speaker 5 (01:31:15):
Get a break.
Speaker 52 (01:31:17):
So, you know, go go bass fishing. You can go
to the Everglades right now. And I'm not gonna say
specifics because there's a lot of areas that are fishing
really good right now that you can throw top water
from sun up to sundown and catch bass all day long.
You can catch some oscars on top water. You can
catch some Mayan cichlids, and those are hard fighting fish
(01:31:38):
that are small. You know, leave your heavy, heavy rods
at home and bring a medium light or a medium
or even a medium heavy, but leave the heavy rods
at home and go have a good time. Don't stress
about gotta catch a big and gotta catch a giant.
Speaker 12 (01:31:56):
Gotta catch this and that and the other. I was teaching.
Speaker 52 (01:31:59):
Somebody had a cat two days ago, caught a five
point four to two pounder.
Speaker 12 (01:32:04):
Nice just showing them.
Speaker 52 (01:32:06):
So it just goes sha if you cast in the
right spots, right on the edge of those lily pads,
right on the edge of those banks fish, you're gonna
come out of the woodworks and eat what you got.
Speaker 12 (01:32:15):
I know you guys got to go.
Speaker 4 (01:32:16):
So yeah, Johnny Green report man, we got that was awesome. Yeah,
we're talking about these shady captains and we talked about
how to do it right. Don't go for the big stuff,
use the light rods like tackle catches the smaller fish,
and definitely don't li to like da So.
Speaker 12 (01:32:32):
Yeah, it will be good in a month.
Speaker 4 (01:32:35):
Yeah, when that's.
Speaker 52 (01:32:36):
When that's Florida weather is uh, it goes back to
being sober.
Speaker 4 (01:32:41):
Joe when it's my tournament exactly. Yeah, hopefully Johnny, you
bring a strong man. Thanks you so very much, brother,
have a great weekend and thanks for being on the
team here. Uh just you're a big part of the show.
We appreciate you.
Speaker 5 (01:32:51):
Thanks Johnny, alrighty.
Speaker 12 (01:32:53):

Speaker 4 (01:37:17):
Good morning to you, Hi, Jen.
Speaker 5 (01:37:20):
Good Barny, Good morning guy.
Speaker 4 (01:37:22):
Sorry, so you know, Jen, we've been having a Steve
on the show. It's William Shatner, Uh, the actor. He's
ninety four years old. He's Captain James T. Kirk on
the enterprise. So Joe and I were wearing matching Star
Trek shirts, which will ever happen again. Uh? Were you
a fan of that thing back? Because you're not that old? Uh?
Do you ever watch that as a kidder? But were
women not watching that? Right?
Speaker 53 (01:37:42):
My dad and my brother did, but I had no
interest whatsoever.
Speaker 4 (01:37:46):
Okay, Yeah, William though, No, he's pretty badass guy for
that of your four years old. The truth.
Speaker 5 (01:37:53):
Yeah, he's cool.
Speaker 4 (01:37:54):
So it's kind of nippy and sunny down here, I
guess are another one of our small winter blasts or what
do you call this thing?
Speaker 53 (01:38:02):
I actually think it's gonna be really beautiful. It's gonna
warm up, It's gonna warm up quickly. You'll have mostly
sunny skies today. The high near seventy four northeast winds
around five knots sees three to four feet. Inner coastal
waters smooth, mostly cloudy. Tomorrow, high near seventy six east,
winds a five.
Speaker 54 (01:38:21):
To ten sees two to three feet.
Speaker 53 (01:38:23):
Inner coastal water's a light chop and the keys. Today
you have a little bit of that smoke lingering early
in the morning, then mostly sunny. High near seventy two
northeast to east, winds five to ten sez one to
two feet near shore water smooth to a light chop.
Tomorrow when the keys partly sunny, Hi your seventy five
east winds around ten to fifteen knots seas building to
(01:38:44):
two to three feet. Near shore water's becoming a moderate chop.
If Florida Bay today, north northeast winds five to ten
baywater smooth to a light chop, and tomorrow east winds
ten to fifteen baywater's light to moderate chop.
Speaker 5 (01:38:57):
It's really nice, not too od.
Speaker 4 (01:39:00):
Is Atlanta warm up a little bit? They're getting some
nice weather now or what?
Speaker 53 (01:39:03):
Yeah, we've had some really nice weather, got like up
to eighty degrees one day this week and cool mornings,
warm afternoons. It's just the pollen's coming out, so it's
like crazy allergy season.
Speaker 4 (01:39:14):
Well that's not good.
Speaker 53 (01:39:16):
Yeah, it's awful, but the weather's nice.
Speaker 4 (01:39:20):
All right. Question, I know you have Destination Dive coming
up in this station. Why did you do that? Have
you started actually filming for the showdown for the next
season coming up? I think in August, I believe it is.
Speaker 53 (01:39:32):
Most of the segments are shot. I'm going to come
down and do some filming in May sometimes. So just
trying to coordinate schedules and get down there and May.
Speaker 4 (01:39:40):
Yeah, you shoot down here in South Florida. Where about
to go in the Keys? Oh? Do me a favorite je?
If you're going to the Keys, can maybe we tie
and hook up together? If we get you on a
show here live, we're something that we want to see you.
Speaker 5 (01:39:54):
Come on, jan je. I'll give you a raider jersey.
Speaker 53 (01:39:59):
I'll let you guys know.
Speaker 4 (01:40:01):
All right, Jack, thanks, thanks so very much. Seriously if
you can you can't, you can't, you can't just meet
on the radio. We're happy enough as is already. So yeah,
thank you, Jed very much. He every weekend.
Speaker 5 (01:40:11):
Thanks Jen.
Speaker 4 (01:40:13):
Let's go to the Keys and dividults. Let's do it, Bob,
shall we.
Speaker 32 (01:40:18):
Do?
Speaker 4 (01:40:18):
You want to get it?
Speaker 42 (01:40:19):
You want to do one.
Speaker 4 (01:40:19):
More kirk thing and bringing dam with your kirk thing?
Speaker 5 (01:40:24):
Can I do Bicard?
Speaker 4 (01:40:25):
You do whatever you want?
Speaker 19 (01:40:26):
Bro.
Speaker 4 (01:40:27):
It shows almost over.
Speaker 5 (01:40:28):
Just okay, ready ready, engage, that's it, that's all he says.
Speaker 4 (01:40:36):
He says, engage. Kem damn good oneing to you.
Speaker 54 (01:40:42):
Yee, how boys counts of gallon?
Speaker 4 (01:40:44):
Little nippy down here, down here, I was a mother
down in the Keys. I'm freezing my tail off on
his set here. Tell you true, it's not cold.
Speaker 54 (01:40:52):
Well, I'm sitting on my back porch. You're looking over
the water with a sweatshirt on and a pair of
sweatpants and getting ready to go out, you know. But
I mean, it's it's a beautiful day. It's probably I
don't know, seventy or so out here, and but we've
had it's a little it smells like a bonfire, brother
than that. And the Keys we're pretty good. We've had
(01:41:15):
some as anybody that's followed the news, we've had some
brush fire mate's accident yesterday, so we've had a lot
of traffic issues here in the Keys. People have been
sitting on the stretch for six seven hours trying to
get here get home. So that's it looks like that
may be a little. They opened both roads last night.
Both carts down road and the stretch are fully open now.
(01:41:38):
So the spring break should not be canceled for anyone.
So please come down here and enjoy the Keys like
they're supposed to be.
Speaker 4 (01:41:47):
Super My son fished this week with like Gris and Jackson.
I think it was Thursday, coming back and the brush
fires shut down the roads. Okay, he was stuck on
the highway for six fricking hours at a dead stop,
trying to get back to Miami, and he was I
called him on the phone. He was very very unhappy.
You use words they can't use on the radio with
(01:42:08):
a kid with his son. It was a toughie. But
they got some yellow tail and a few fish, so
it was a total disaster. Okay, So what are you saying,
what's biting down that way?
Speaker 54 (01:42:19):
Well, actually we've we've you know, a bunch of the
guys have started to go offshore. I'm going off store
in a couple of days, just kind of, you know,
go out there and see what's around. But they've been
coming home with some big black fan tuna. And I'm
not talking about footballs. I'm talking about nice size tuna
twenty pounds a plus.
Speaker 4 (01:42:40):
Ye.
Speaker 54 (01:42:40):
Also, our dolphin bite or is starting to turn on.
For the five charter books that I looked at yesterday
have brought in dolphin yesterday. So I mean, the bike's here,
the weather pattern's good, the fishing's great. As long as
we can, you know, keep our weather good or at
least you know, stable enough to get out there and
get the fish, that's for sure. But yeah, there have
(01:43:04):
been a few weed lines out, you know, starting in
like three point fifty, and you know, just work your
baits and and it's early in the season. We're gonna
have a lot of short fish, maybe some anywhere from
you know, twenty inches up to twenty eight, twenty nine
this time of year with a bigger one, you know.
So I mean, yeah, I mean it's it's starting the season.
(01:43:25):
Definitely springs here, we had this. This is probably gonna
be our last cold front, I would hope, and then
summer's here and dolphin fishing is going to go crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:43:36):
Yeah, I was looking wonder to me. Dev Thanks very
very much. So you have spring breakers down there, right, So, yes,
I threw a term out that Joe I never heard,
and I'm sure maybe you have describing women's anatomy. Have
you heard the term tatas used with a women's bod?
Speaker 54 (01:43:55):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that we have those peak parade around here. Definitely, Absolutely,
she's Stephen.
Speaker 4 (01:44:05):
They've heard. She's knows what tatas are.
Speaker 53 (01:44:07):
Okay, you're just selling, you're just aging yourself because that's
low older turn.
Speaker 5 (01:44:15):
She just said, you're saying your age.
Speaker 4 (01:44:17):
I just call them like large large boobs would be respectful,
and you just use them the T word.
Speaker 5 (01:44:26):
You're a very beautiful woman. That's all you said.
Speaker 4 (01:44:30):
That's all you said.
Speaker 3 (01:44:31):
Thanks for keeping us a breast of the situation here.
Speaker 4 (01:44:34):
Very nice, Steve. So that's why Joe's eyes are not
looking at her eyes. He's starting down to those two
wide eyes. Okay, but anyway he's like eyeballs a little bit.
Speaker 3 (01:44:44):
So no class, no class.
Speaker 4 (01:44:47):
Have a great weekend. Thanks for being back in the show.
I know you sometimes you get busy with the chart,
you have to kind of take off and leave. But
we're glad to get you whatever you can.
Speaker 55 (01:44:54):
Okay, it does seem that it does seem that my
show is kind of every time that I go of
the out of the channel with the big boat, it
seems like it's the same time that I'm that I'm
talking on the show.
Speaker 54 (01:45:06):
But yeah, I mean everything here is once you get
through the wildfires and once everything restaurants are very busy.
Just hold tight for another couple of weeks. And a
lot of people here this week from Ohio, Wisconsin, up north,
so as soon as they go home, you know the
keys will open and traffic won't be so bad hopefully.
Speaker 4 (01:45:27):
So thanks so very much, thank you for the best.
Speaker 5 (01:45:30):
Okay, sorry about Erica.
Speaker 4 (01:45:32):
I got a stand point here, take a break up
back because we have a special segment that runs about
four and a half minutes. I got to be on
the clock.
Speaker 5 (01:45:38):
Get right back to you.
Speaker 4 (01:45:39):
Yeah, we do next at Fox Sports ninety.
