Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're on board the Nautical Ventures Weekly Fisherman Show with
legendary fishermen Eric Brandon, an extreme angler Joe Hector, powered
by Mercury Marine, Go Boldly, Holy.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Fish Bones, walk them to the number one the fishing
show in the country, brought you by the number one
boat dealership in America, Manautical Ventures Marine. I might add
got a cool campaign run to get the dogical Adventures
right now, Joe. They have a thing of Instagram saying
don't be terrified, like the terroriffs, don't be terrified. Okay.

(00:41):
They have like all these acts a part thirty sevens
of various colors and styles or whateverwhere else, and they're
all sitting around there for sale with no terraffs. So
the prices are stupidly low, and they actually just kind
of the price off of that. You want to say
something at all, you're just gonna freeze up. Well, I mean, oh,
it's trying to like mentally understand that. Wait, so wait,

(01:03):
say it again. The slogan says, don't be terrif No,
I get that, okay, right right, And they've got the
axtra par brand, the thirty seven's right.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Where are they from?

Speaker 2 (01:13):
They're from Finland.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Oh that's why I got considered.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Finished the sign boat was speaking and finish to you.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
No, I just I was just getting confused.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Seland what do you think? Man? Come on, dude, Steve,
she like just not even hear you or what's his brain?

Speaker 4 (01:28):
I just want to say. I love the axle pars.
That is my favorite boat that Nauticle has. And the
small ones. The big ones they are so bad.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
I like the small ones, They're pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Gosh, somebody the show knows that they actual par Is
besides me, because no clue, I don't.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
I don't know the axle pars. I love the axle Pars.
I mean that is a badasso. And there catching on
a lot more more people were picking them up.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Oh man, they're a hot cellar. So a crazy show.
First of all, back in Night forty, Jeff thanks to
fly to Ship there and stevehen j Gray, crazy man
hatty duty. So we got a guy coming up on
the show today. Remember George Clark Junior back in the
day was our keys reporting captain. I love George whever
we cooked with him, Yeah, he cut on set and
cooked with us. Yeah. So he talked about his son
Wyatt Clark. Okay, with a cool hobby, he's actually turning

(02:14):
into like a business.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
That's how you do it, man. He takes something you
love and you create something matter.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
He assembles fishes, skeletons.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
That's pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
You've got to actually boil these, like.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Every kind of fish or is it just.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Certain fish like sixty or so? This morning early too?
I piece some piece by piece, he says, GIRLA glue
is the key to putting each boat together.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Is that a Is that a a show? No, it's
just do we get them?

Speaker 2 (02:43):
No, it's not pay.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
A product that someone uses for their hair.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
I do actually, thank you very much. Well, you're the
one who said its multi purpose, multi purpose. We need
to contact them that he's coming up this hour on
the show because that Jim Matthew cannot be here. He's
he had some issues.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Man happened?

Speaker 2 (03:00):
I feel bad for Jim. He yea gonna have problem
with this week?

Speaker 3 (03:03):
What happened?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Are you no? One of his buddies. Jim's in a
bad way. One of his die buds filled his tank
with pressurized cow methane and he's whole recovering right now. Yeah, yeah, basically,
don't ask me how they pulled it off. It might
involve a hose or something, but is that it?

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Joe, No, did you make a funny sure's joke?

Speaker 2 (03:20):
He got filled with the pressurized cow methane and Haley
did it was quite the quite problem. Yeah, yeah, anyway,
let's go with the show, Jimbo Thomas.

Speaker 5 (03:29):
What can we have people rate joke like our jokes
in the comment section?

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Like either do a thumbs like it like in row.
We'll do like a thumbs up or a thumbs down.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
On a stream they can't. Yeah, let's do it all right, cool,
I'm gonna put a thumbs Ah, you wanna bring jim
alatawall He's It's okay.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
I've done it like the last five times.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Man, he's the man who travels the planet and predatory
species looking for a jis and whatever else will buy
a bare hook. He's afraid of no stone grab and
definitely is a Budweiser endorser. It's the one, the only
the man. Jimbo Thomas on the Thomas Flyer.

Speaker 6 (04:03):
Hey, hey, guys, that that was pretty accurate?

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Was it pretty good? You give me a thumbs up
on that one?

Speaker 6 (04:12):
Well, I mean it's there, it's all kind of corny,
but it was better than the copa or the seminal chant.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Chance. We haven't done that in a while.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
You do it next Saturday.

Speaker 6 (04:25):
I will anyway, I'm not gonna be here next Saturday.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Are you You're off the show next weekend?

Speaker 6 (04:32):
I believe so truly. I'm letting you know right now.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Jim why don't you wait till like the night before
the show and let Eric know it pisces him off?

Speaker 6 (04:42):
Yeah, can scramble.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
He's make him work for his money a little guy. Anyway, Jimbo,
what's going on with the fishing world? It blew a
couple of days this week. I heard reports by like
dorm beckoff coming up. He's got some banging stuff.

Speaker 6 (04:55):
Really Yeah, it's been fairly good this week. And it
was a little breezy earlier, but it was like bad
by any means. And then the last couple of days
has been very nice. So offshore, we've had some blue water,
and more importantly, we've had current all week, so that
means good fishing. We've been sailfish have been pretty consistent,

(05:19):
and depending on where you are, it's been really good
or just good. There's been guys with a number of
boats with double digit catches in the last few days,
and then typically that's where they are finding more blue
or water. I've been fishing out in front of Government
Cut and it hasn't been very blue, but it's still

(05:40):
been great fishing six seven sailfish in a day, so
there's nothing to cry about that. Not a whole lot
of other stuff mixed in, although yesterday some dolphins showed
up and nothing big, but there's a fair amount of
schoolies out there. Nobody, to my knowledge, went out actually

(06:02):
chasing the dolphin. They were all caught from live baiters,
whether you were kite fishing or just drifting your live baits,
so basically they were finding us, we weren't finding them.
And then there's been some decent black fans mixed in.
Hardly any kings, no kings to speak of, so there's
been sailfish, black fins and a few mahis today. It

(06:27):
doesn't seem like much win right now, but I know
they're calling for a northwest wind. We've got a little
sailfish tournament that we're fishing in today with about ten
boats from a fishing club. It's not a big big deal,
but so we're going out looking for sailfish and black
men tuna yes morning, but yesterday we had one tuna,

(06:49):
We had a few dolphin. We were out in the afternoon.
We didn't see any sales yesterday, but there was sales caught.
We didn't have any winds in the afternoon, so we
didn't not kitefish. Kite fishing definitely you'll get a lot
more sail bites than just drifting or slow troll in
your base. But you know, we still catch plenty up
drifting or slow trolling. We just didn't have to see

(07:12):
any sales in the few hours we fish yesterday, but
we had good action on on the one black fin
and a few dolphin. We did have a couple of
kingfish or they might have been Baracouda cutoffs, but I
haven't caught any kings or have I really heard of
any this week. But it's been good fishing, so I
think today should be more of the same. Northwest wind,

(07:36):
get some live bait, go out on the edge of
the gulfs room if you got enough win for the kite,
which in the morning it looks like there probably will
be get the kite up. And it's been anywhere from
about one hundred and ten to two hundred and fifty
feet of waters where we begin the bites.

Speaker 5 (07:53):
Nice, don't sha so any size to these blackfinn. Are
we starting to get some of the big mamas coming
through or what question?

Speaker 6 (08:00):
Think they've been on average fifteen to twenty pounds, But yes,
there have been some twenty plus pounders caught, which we
should keep seeing more and more of them as we
get through April and into May. If I had had
some piltures, or if you can get live piltures to

(08:20):
live chum with your odds of catching one of those
nicer ones or a bunch of them is way better.
We searched the search yesterday from Elliott Key to Government
Cut looking for piltres. We never found any pilters yesterday,
but if you can find them in live chum, you're

(08:41):
gonna get those tunas going. So we were just drift blind,
drifting without chumming yesterday, so we were happy just to
catch one, to be honest with you, right.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
So okay, sweet man, you know I got a feeling
we're gonna have an early jumbo blackfin hoopla.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Yeah, really, I really do slightly early.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
That feminine premonition you mean, basically it's your feminist come out.

Speaker 6 (09:06):
Yes, well, I hope you're right because we've had an
early tune of bite. We've been seeing them for the
last month always right, So those bigger ones are hopefully
show up as well as the medium sized ones have.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Yeah. I have a question of the flyer, Jim, But
when you get back to the dock with a load
of fish, are you the guy actually filling up those
for your clients and backing those?

Speaker 6 (09:29):
I am? I am yep.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Well I have other captains like Captain Robert on the
Real Insanity. Yeah, he told me that he will not
fully anybody's fish unless they pay him off. No, that's
all part of service, he said, He's just not going
to fill up that sucks fifty fish unless they pay
him a file a fee.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
How long is that?

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Yeah, I was just gonna ask that. You never told
me what the craiger is, but he charges them to
fill the fish, Jim Bow, what do you think of this?

Speaker 7 (09:59):
Now?

Speaker 6 (10:00):
I don't go with that. If if they want fifty
fish fill aid, first off, we've got to catch fifty fish.
So nowadays that doesn't happen very often. It used to
happen commonly so and also nowadays, like the only time
you're gonna have fifty fish is if the dolphin are biting.

(10:23):
You're not even allowed to catch fifty up nowadays. So right,
I mean I clean thirty of them on a regular
basis if I got people that you want to fill
their freezer. But nowadays most of them, not just our customers,
but the fishing customers in general, they are not big

(10:46):
fish hogs whatever you want to call it. They just
want to take them up for a couple of dinners.
Because back in the old days, they would fill up
three coolers, bring them home and freeze them, and then
they'd go out a year later and they're like, oh man,
we still got fish in the freezer from last year.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Freezer burned exactly. Freeze fish, man. I don't freeze fish, period.
You should parasites. I don't do it, Joey, Sorry, are
you serious? I'll I'll give you the wait a second,
so you get But like if you get blackfin, you
don't freeze them that night and then eat them the
next day. No, why never? What I just said never?

(11:26):
I said never.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
You guys got to research parasites, man.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
That's because you're such a fricking sissy.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
I'm just saying you guys should research it.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
You're you're you're a man who lifts weights and trains
for living, but basically inside your baby, well.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
You know you are inside full of parasite.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Baby, is what you are. You got parasite, drinks, some
kind of anti parasite, your weird hair.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
So you're saying that's the only pair he has.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Jumping on the rock the clock man, But we don't
see next week it will miss you like crazy and
they go tear them up on the flyer and do
what you do man, because you were the man in
the first box man you out to shoot.

Speaker 8 (12:03):
You got it all.

Speaker 6 (12:05):
I'll call you during the week and let you know
what my story is for next week. And we're supposed
to go over to the Everglades fishing and like in
the path.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
You can't. You can't get a satellite phone. You get
a lot of money out, do you.

Speaker 6 (12:20):
You equit me with the satellite phone and you're.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
On all right, barrow from Joe. All right, thanks so much, Jim.
I'll have a great all right.

And the Morning Happy Fish. Why are you leading for
our fishboat?

Speaker 6 (17:58):
Guy?

Speaker 2 (17:58):
But coming up he maybe see what is this thing? Man?
I don't but I like it. Whatever it was, it
was good, kind of cue, kind of catchy, you know.
Speaking of why Clark what he does for this living
putting the bones together with fish. There's actually a name
for that for you guys to do it called no,

(18:18):
it's called it osteological preparators. Osteological preparators that put together fishbones.
You know, the scientific name for that. So very cool. Interesting. Anyway,
speaking of bones, she's caught a lot of fish with
a lot of bones, man, big ones, big big bone fish. Yeah.
Cory Norakowski with the snakeheads.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
Did you see those largemouth bass?

Speaker 2 (18:39):
I saw the basses week, so I gave him a
caption saying slobs man. Yeah, big ones, Cary, you want to.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
See your brother Corey.

Speaker 9 (18:47):
More than goods.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
How are you doing, shabby? You said you had a
good week through Corey. I watched a live video of
you actually hook up to a snakehead and fighting it Nettiett. So,
uh pretty cool stuff. You had a good week.

Speaker 9 (18:58):
Huh yeah, yeah, it was, it was. It was a
good week. A lot of those largemouth bass that I've
seen us up in the central Florida. I was up
there for a couple of days up in uh uh
lake called Lake Kenansville out in the middle of nowhere,
and uh that was a.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
That was good.

Speaker 6 (19:19):
That was good.

Speaker 9 (19:19):
That's a lot of large baths in that lake, but
that that was fun. We were catching some on top water,
getting them mostly punging through mats, just you know, flipping
and pitching stuff like that. So that's we've got a
lot of the bigger fish. But down down this way,
it's been good with the snakeheads and the peacock bass,

(19:40):
that's been great. That's a that's a great time right
now for them, really good bite and.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
The peacocks are they're nesting and all that right.

Speaker 9 (19:49):
Now, right Yeah, they're they're definitely in that mode right now.
I took two guys the other day and we were
both we were going for peacocks and snakeheads, and they
did pretty good with the snakeheads. Of the peacocks definitely
was the deal that day. He one guy got one
about six.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Pounds nice and uh yeah, a big one, and we got.

Speaker 9 (20:15):
Some other four pounders. So mostly mostly the pyecasts. That's
what a lot of the bigger fish are doing right now.
They're they're on those they're on those beds, or at
least getting ready to if they're not on them already.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
So well, you know, these peacocks are kind of interesting
because Jill has a tournament coming up in like a
week or two Joey, Yeah, like two and a half weeks.
Exotic Best Round up coming man coming quick, a large bout.
Are qualified people, Well.

Speaker 5 (20:44):
No, no, no, it's only it's only exotics. So it's
only peacocks clown knife fish. They're the two main species
in lake and for like the bigger money. And then
we have a whole bunch of like side divisions, like
the snakehead division.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Okay from Drave And then I asked a very simple question.
You don't have to go to a whole Well no,
you said sponsor fly.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
I pulled you back in.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
You would have gone right with it. Okay. Oh and
by the way, we're sponsored by x y Z b
G and then his mother too. Okay. Anyway back I'm
playing with Corey. Are good friend here? You asked? I know,
and you definitely tell so Cory, uh, are you totally
an artificial lower guy? You don't usually kind of you know,
that other bait stuff to you.

Speaker 9 (21:32):
I I don't personally. I mean I if I got clients,
sometimes I do. I do bring live bait. I did
that day, but we didn't even use it.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
So that was a.

Speaker 9 (21:45):
Was really wasn't really any need for it. It was
just you know, they were just fired up, and it
was you could use artificial and you know what I mean,
when they're doing that, you can kind of use any
artificial for the most part and you'll catch him. But yeah,
I every now and again sometimes the clown knife fish,
that's probably the one species I'll ever bring it for

(22:06):
if I have to. I did catch some that day too,
So that was another thing that was I got like
I went three for five and like an hour just
fishing under one bridge. So I did get into some
of those as well. But yeah, yeah, I'm more of
an artificial guy. I just have always been always like
the challenge.

Speaker 5 (22:26):
I think a lot of fresh water guys maybe I'm wrong,
but it seems like a lot of guys that mainly
do fresh water are into artificial and guys that are
like saltwater guys first and then like fishing fresh water
are more live bait.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
Well, but you're superficial. It is terrible.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
What do you say your.

Speaker 9 (22:55):
I was gonna say, I I I definitely believe that
as well. I've noticed that with a lot of guys too,
that you know, when they're more of the saltwater side,
they're more live bait, you know, more than artificial, you know,
more than the fresh work guys are definitely artificial first.
So I yeah, I definitely.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
I think it's just what you're used to, like, you know,
as an offshore game.

Speaker 5 (23:17):
Myself, I just always you know, loaded the box with
live bait, right, So it's like when you're freshwater fishing,
you're just kind of like, oh, well, I'll just get
live bait and and you know, do my thing, and
then I'll bring artificials. But then it's the opposite with
like a guy like Corey where he's like, I'm just
gonna bring some live bait just in case, but I'm
going to use my my my gun.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Before. Remember one technique live baity talking about using crawd
ads for bait. That was great, man, Yeah, that was
some I never heard of before. Would that be considered
live bait? I guess so, right, I mean views of
live Yeah, they'd be live bait. Yeah, I guess. I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
It's well, no, it's weird called bait.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Don't know.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
It's kind of a weird term for like a craw dad.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
Don't it's weird, Cory, I'm sorry, man, Maybe it's a
different name, A live crawdad, A live bait in your world, my.

Speaker 9 (24:10):
Friend, Yeah, I would, I mean yeah, if I if
I brought him, yeah, I would you get him live?

Speaker 27 (24:20):
It was.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
A live crawdadst Listen, here's how it goes.

Speaker 5 (24:25):
Like if you're fishing up like when I fish for
permit on the beach, I say I'm bringing live crabs.
I'm using live crabs. I'm not saying hey, I'm bringing
live bait. I'm saying live crabs. R Man, Well, I'm
saying he's if he's using crawdads, I'm not going to
be like, I'm bringing live bait.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
I'm gonna say I'm bringing.

Speaker 5 (24:45):
Live crawdads or Crawdaddy's or my daddy, your daddy, I'm
your daddy.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
What he brought up last time, he mentioned the fact
he doesn't like to get those pictures near him because
they will pitch his fingers when they're alive. Right, so
he pulls off the pictures, okay, while they're alive, so
you get a bit of the finger while they're a lot.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
I think that's a good question to ask our people
in the chat.

Speaker 5 (25:05):
Yeah, maybe when you use crabs or you know, a crustacean,
do you say I'm bringing live bait or do you
say I'm bringing crabs?

Speaker 4 (25:16):
What?

Speaker 5 (25:18):
I think that's a legitimate question. I mean, Corey, don't
you think that's a legitimate question.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
Some people don't like to talk about the fact that
they have crabs.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
Yeah, that's true. I mean, see if we gotta laugh
out of Cory, that's a rarity, big laid back guy,
get their laugh out of Corey.

Speaker 28 (25:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (25:37):
Yeah, I have to say I think I think if anything,
probably somebody's gonna say it's probably oh yeah, I'm bringing
live crabs and bring live you know, yeah that they're
gonna say that more and they're going to say live
bait with that. Ye say how I've always heard it.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
Corey, don't give Johnny any validation is already big ass
crowd will blow up like a balloon. Okay, seriously, the
hattle exploded.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
Okay, it's not my fault that I'm always right. It's
a curse.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Ever, Corey, fishing image stay at home for what are
you doing, buddy?

Speaker 8 (26:09):
Yeah, I'm I'm going out.

Speaker 9 (26:11):
I've actually got the date of myself. So I'm gonna
go out and fun fish for myself and see you
and bang out some snakeheads and maybe some peacocks.

Speaker 2 (26:19):

glader to the show. And uh, I learned something Brandy

Speaker 3 (31:05):
So you were sixty when this started?

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Oh dear God, please okay depends. I was thinking about
maybe a party to celebrate our nineteenth anniversary. Maybe we'll
make it the twentieth. Okay, would it be cool? Well, yeah,
you would have to do the twentieth.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
I think I want to do like a live on location.

White Hey do buddy? Hey, way what man?

Speaker 35 (31:53):
Too much confusion going on there? This is too easy, guys.
You just get on my boat Saturday night.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Hey, what what is this?

Speaker 4 (32:00):
What is this guy's name?

Speaker 13 (32:01):
Here?

Speaker 15 (32:03):
God?

Speaker 2 (32:04):
There you go?

Speaker 35 (32:07):
Do you do your party from on my boat?

Speaker 36 (32:09):
Many?

Speaker 35 (32:10):
I was there the first day.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
So the party the reward fishing boat and we'll.

Speaker 35 (32:17):
Fish, we'll put the kites up, man, and uh you.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
Know, can you bring all run it?

Speaker 35 (32:26):
Absolutely? Absolutely well? Yes, whatever you like?

Speaker 2 (32:31):
All right? Wait, so what's happening on the reward fleet
for you this week? By friend?

Speaker 35 (32:37):
You know, we've been sticking kind of the same the
same plan.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
Uh.

Speaker 35 (32:40):
We we've been catching I've been catching a handful of
decent buttons. We're still catching a sailfish pretty consistently as
long as we can kite fishing. And we had a
what text today. I'm I'm kind of like tying my
days together. I've actually haven't been running the boat so much.
I've been building a deck in my backyard. It's been
pretty hot, so I've been putting in long hours off
out there. But yeah, that's that's way harder.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
I like fishing.

Speaker 4 (33:04):
Does someone know about this deck here?

Speaker 35 (33:08):
It's it doesn't come. Yeah, I'm going to I am
going to read you the rule. If it's not a
test to the house, you don't have to. It's not necessary.
Yeahhh so stevens the house. Anyway, we had what text today,

(33:32):
Todayson listen, I think it was Thursday. We had an
afternoon we kit fish just for a little little while
with a bachelor parbaty. We cut three sails. So there's
still sale fish out there that you won't put your
time in form So they're still coming down. So the
other thing is your buddies have showed up on some
of the deeper some of the deeper recks, not the
one eighties or two hundred, some of the deeper stuff.

(33:53):
If you guys listen to know where they are out
in three hundred or so and a little deeper than that,
you can find them. But some of the some your
buddy amberjacks have showed up as well. So sweet, and
I love them because they're sid man, they could be
really stupid, you know. Yeah, at least you're twenty dollars
jigs as fast as you can feed them sometimes.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
You know, so I will.

Speaker 35 (34:16):
It's like, oh god, God, there's you know, it's funny.

Speaker 25 (34:20):
Uh.

Speaker 35 (34:21):
You know, we talked last time a lot about these
jigen trips, and you know, in my history and growing
up and what we did was called you know, deep chicken.
But back then we were smart enough to know when
the kings were around, and you put a piece of
wire on front of your jig because you don't want
to lose a thirty five cent chicken.

Speaker 3 (34:35):
So oh wow, wow, you know, forty five dollars Now.

Speaker 35 (34:44):
I relate. I relate. Jiggers are kind of like surfers
a little bit. They got a certain aloofness to them.
You know, they come on the boat with theirs bags
of chicken stuff. I have been in the most incredible
kingfish bite and I can wrap wire fast. Okay, guys, this,
give me your oldest jigs and we wrap some up
for you. Oh no, we don't use wire, I said.
You are losing all your jigs every cast. It's like,

(35:07):
oh no, but we don't use wire. We're not supposed
to use wire with vertical jigs, I said. Man, I
guess I'll write a book because whatever you're reading doesn't
make a bit of sense.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
Man, if you're about hitting him, I'm taking your because
you're you're the pro and I'm not the pro. So
if you use wire, well I'm using the wire.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
Yeah, but you know, how are they get stuck in there?

Speaker 2 (35:27):
It's hu Joe, Yeah, exactly, I know you are.

Speaker 35 (35:29):
There's a difference, you know, you talk about the experience level.
There's a difference between growing up knowing what learning what
to do to make it, make your best option and
your best opportunity and do it. It's very simple. But
if you learn mostly by reading about it, you know
and don't do put your time in uh. If you

(35:50):
don't do enough of it, you don't have the faith
in it. And that's not a that's not a fault.
But when when guys like me or Bouncer has spent
fifty years out there, you know, running three four hundred
trips a year or whatever it is, you know it's
a lot. So you do learn something. You learn to
simplify some things you know. And that's that's probably the
best advice, if ever I could give anybody, is think

(36:11):
about things you know, and think before you act, and
don't necessarily depend upon every every every single YouTube video
you see that it's the right that it's absolutely the gospel.
So okay, my last tip, All right, Well, we did
a couple We did a really cool We did a
kid's fishing trip out of out of uh what's it
called over there, the Big Big Ritzy group. We took

(36:33):
a bunch of kids out and we took caught them
a couple of hundred grunts and on a birthday party
for some six year olds. So they're a hoot, man.
And the last thing I got is you do you
I don't know if you ever talk about it, but
if you've got a Florida fishing license, you can you
can you fill out a special permit and you can
get five stone crab traps legally. I don't know a

(36:54):
lot of people even know that. You're entitled to it.
You don't have to pay for it. You go buy
the traps and then you go put him out, and
you got to put an r on for recreational uh
with a float. Excuse me, I'm supposed to have a
float on it and you can go catch your own,
you know.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
So why I got to talk to you to the
clock files off the wall here, but we got a
guest waiting behind you, so we got to rock the clock.
But thank you. Wayne has always been bringing strong but
I did not know that though cool, very cool, yeah
five yep. Yet to put a camera on him.

Speaker 4 (37:25):
So nobody steals your stuff.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
The whole of the day. Thank you, Wayne.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
Thanks Wayne.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
So we're going to the keys now talking to a gentleman.
His name is Wyatt Clark. He's the son of George
Clark Jr. A great.

Speaker 4 (37:38):
Nad that's bad man man.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
So Wyatt, it's got this very cool thing all on
where your symbols fish, skeletons and does it like very scientifically,
one rib bone at a time, one vertebrae, the heads altogether. Well,
that's the photos on the screen here on the Facebook. Yeah,
very cool.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
But say how to why why?

Speaker 36 (38:02):
I come?

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Want to tell you, buddy, Hey, why?

Speaker 28 (38:04):
Hey?

Speaker 3 (38:05):
Good morning?

Speaker 2 (38:06):
All right?

Speaker 25 (38:06):
Man?

Speaker 2 (38:07):
So I am totally intrigued by what you're doing, and
I've been some research on this, and just I see
how meticulous this whole thing is. I guess I want
to know, Joe, are you? Yeah? Of course, why'd you
get involved in this thing? And what turns you on
to putting the other fishbones skeletons.

Speaker 3 (38:23):
It was a mix of, you know, people can tell
you to recall him a.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
Second, we'll call you back, why you have a we
have a why? Why will call you back? There's a
little funk connection issue there, buddy, We call you right back. Okay.
So I wasn't ready to say his whole history about
doing this, but his dad tipped me off, called me
last week and said, hey, my son's doing something really
really wacky and crazy.

Speaker 4 (38:43):
We're showing some of the video right now.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
And uh cool, very cool video. And I said, okay,
let's talk about it. He goes, you know, would you
mind put him on the show and kind of exposing
the public to what he does. Yeah, it's beautiful, And
I said, not a problem. I mean when you see
these final pieces, like that's why they're celler for like
two fifty a pop.

Speaker 4 (39:02):
Calling meticulously takes them apart and puts them back together here, I.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
Mean, which you have to to prepare those You have
to put them some kind of hydro chloric acid. Yeah,
to get all the fricking everything that I think you
thought the about a boiling pot and then they use
glue and and baking soda to hear these bones. He's back. Okay,
why you're back there, buddy?

Speaker 36 (39:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (39:24):
Okay? Now, so your history is you decided to start
this win and what got you involved? Buddy?

Speaker 36 (39:31):
Uh So I started doing this three or four years ago,
and I just hired to we'll catch all these night
fish lamb and throw water.

Speaker 4 (39:49):
This is that's a signal. Hey, why if you could
stand up a little bit or moving a little better
spot where you're having and get close to that phone,
we'll have a little toil hearing you. But we're getting
you better, a lot better now. So yeah, all right,
a so you got.

Speaker 36 (40:01):
So Yeah, it's just a mix of things. It's just
seeing a waste of something, and I don't know, I
just kind of enjoyed doing it.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
It's really unique and.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
It's unique.

Speaker 36 (40:17):
I mean, yeah, it's just I just got sick of
seeing fish be wasted.

Speaker 4 (40:22):
How long does it take you to put one of
these fish together.

Speaker 36 (40:26):
From start to finish? It takes about maybe two weeks,
depends on how.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Long I work on it every day, So it depends
on the size of the fish. But when you have
a favorite fish you like to put together one. It's
kind of like you like second nature to you. Snook bash.

Speaker 36 (40:45):
I like to do Coubert snappers because they got the
real big fangs.

Speaker 2 (40:49):
Yeah, man, that's cool. I just did it sale fish,
you both. That's awesome. So would you prepare these fish?
Why did they go to some kind of an acid
bath first to get the feet off? Or how do
you prepare these bones? Man? For assembly?

Speaker 35 (41:09):
So I'll boil them down.

Speaker 2 (41:14):
And a degree and once I see all apart, the world.

Speaker 37 (41:22):
Eat with my.

Speaker 2 (41:27):
Work. Why I'm asking more time? This is this gonna
be a great interview. But the problem is you have
a phone issue, uh down where you are, So maybe
if you walk out a little bit further away from
where you are to a different spot, because the phone's
really cutting out pretty badly here, so we'll keep trying
to hear you better. Okay, walk over here. All right.

(41:48):
You're not a bluetooth, are you? You're on your king
the phone? You hold your phone? Why you got you there, buddy? Yeah? Okay.
So we were talking about the fact you put these
things together preparing, and he said you boil them down first. Yeah,
so with a decrease.

Speaker 36 (42:12):
And that just pull a lot of the okay, that
way once they are that yellow, that yellow colored.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
All right. So, I mean I'm curious, Joe, what do
you how many bones you think are in an actual
fish you're putting together? You think it might be a
couple of hundred. I mean, I don't know what a
lot how many bones would be in an actual fish.
I've never actually thought about how many rib bones they've
gotten back for it to bray and the tail thing
and the whole head assembly. It's just like a massive
jigsaw puzzle.

Speaker 3 (42:46):
Well, yeah, that's all I was going to ask.

Speaker 5 (42:48):
So why, like, when you're putting together different species of fish,
I mean, do you know all these species or do
you have to kind of research it and as you're
putting together like a puzzle, you're you know, looking at
either a video of that assembly or a book.

Speaker 3 (43:04):
How does that? How does that work?

Speaker 2 (43:08):
I mean it was just practice, practice and.

Speaker 36 (43:13):
Every fish.

Speaker 35 (43:16):
Structure.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
Wow, right, so he said roughly, steven't answer your question.
He said, about two weeks per average on fish. Now,
are you actually settlings to clients or just a hobby
for you right now?

Speaker 3 (43:31):
A little bit?

Speaker 2 (43:33):
I doing a lot bearing the key pretty cool? Give
fish skeleton bed so very cool stuff. Do you have
a way to reach you for these? On Instagram or
somebody watching one from the show One of our viewers
wants one? How do they reach out to you and
get one?

Speaker 25 (43:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (43:52):
I and then just been messages.

Speaker 2 (44:00):
Well I'm gonna post up that thing later because I
only heard like one or two words before. You can
actually get these fish, of course, I mean why, I'm
so sorry the phone to think just yeah, totally this morning.
It's not your fault. We have these things technology, right,
but I got them pretty much. Gist what you were
saying about how you you kind of boil them down,
let the bones try out, get them off here and
you actually know some of the species and research those.

(44:22):
As Joe brought up research the structure of the fish
and where bone goes were, so you're not putting a
spine bone in his nose a hole or something. And
I mean and so he said he likes doing kuberra
because of the big fangs they've got. Look, I think
swordfish would be cool too. He did a sailfish too.

Speaker 4 (44:40):
He said, Yeah, we have a pictureup of why with
his dad by the way.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
There he goes white and good old George Clark Jr.
There he is why. I want to thank you for
being on the program.

Speaker 6 (44:49):
Man.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
I wish the phone had been better. We maybe visit
this thing and bring you back one more time so
get a good audio feed. But I think we got
pretty much the idea of it all.

Speaker 35 (44:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (44:56):
I'm really totally impressed by your skill set, man. I
can't imagine having a patience to do appreciate it. And yeah,
you said the key was girl and glue. Is that correct? Yeah,
I mean, that's that's a plug. Joe.

Speaker 5 (45:11):
Why you got to get him as a sponsor, man,
I'd reach out to that and be like, hey, you guys.

Speaker 2 (45:15):
I'm gonna buy wine a new phone. Actually, why, thanks
so much, man, you're a great guest. And then we'll
fix the phone next time, buddy. Thanks brother, all right,
thanks so much. Why I feelso bad. I was looking
for this interview so much, man, and then the phone
just goes kaboo.

Speaker 3 (45:33):
That made it hard. He's a great I was trying,
you know, but it's just you know, and I.

Speaker 2 (45:39):
Think they're not like that. You're trying to make him
a second shot. Maybe, well, I think we should let's
do it again, because you know, there's so much more
we can get into with that. Just I had a

Speaker 14 (53:51):

you don't mind, bro, all right, all right, called Shot
on the matt Man.

Speaker 8 (54:38):
Hello, yeah, just on the sp I love it.

Speaker 2 (54:43):
Yeah, Well, thank gosh, he knowes not to use the
F words or whatever. Anyway, So you're after shot. What's
the mother like? Man, calm seas, how's it looking that there?

Speaker 8 (54:52):
Oh yeah, it's real, calm, real nice. I came out
kayaking actually yesterday I got a selfish pink fish Anita barracuda.
So say the action and so it's not quite springtime yet,
but it's picking up for sure. Man, it's I'm hopeful
for today.

Speaker 2 (55:07):
He just takes my joe, but he's got a yak
out there, dude, a yack. It's my four inches off
the water catching sailfish and yakudah and tuna. And it's
just incredible to me about doing that. Man, that's you know,
that's hardcore, bro. That's what we do. That's what you do.

Speaker 9 (55:23):
Yeah, yeah, so I call it extreme.

Speaker 2 (55:26):
Yeah did donegal venture's a trick at your yack. I
think brought it in for some treatment, right.

Speaker 8 (55:31):
Oh yeah, it's almost They got some parts coming in
for me. Almost done. So I was in my uh
my wife's pie yesterday giving it a rundown before the tournament.
But uh, I can't wait to get back in my
other one with the nice comfy seat I got in
there and everything, this three sixty swivel pod I having that.

Speaker 9 (55:48):
Thing, Man was like, there for sure.

Speaker 8 (55:49):
You know your friend Boomer.

Speaker 2 (55:51):
Had to bring it up. I had to bring it
up man with a swivelo ass pod three sixty magic
chair letter it go, gotta it. Boomer sees this our
here's us on the show height and it'll just take
the feed and put it on like nine platforms and
just blow this like more than Joe would. Man.

Speaker 8 (56:12):
God, I got a question for you, sir. Who's that
better hair you were?

Speaker 6 (56:17):
Boomer?

Speaker 2 (56:19):
Boomers is like gray and like a big knot, that
knotty thing these guys that were up on top of
their head, this new fashion statement of having a knot
on your head. I don't wear.

Speaker 3 (56:27):
Then dreads though. Is that considered like dreads?

Speaker 2 (56:30):
It's dreadful actually, Andrilla Glue like, man, I do wear
my hair like that professional. But Boomer is more of
a hippie still man, So whatever. Yeah, yeah, so Sylvie
asked pods on your Yeah, I'm glad to hear that.
I guess question for you man, you're ready for the
big round up? Man, I mean it's coming up soon, buddy.

Speaker 8 (56:49):
Oh yeah I am. I'm like a big time ready.
I got all my rods re spooled, everything's tied on,
rigged up, ready to go.

Speaker 9 (56:57):
Man, I'm ready ready.

Speaker 2 (56:58):
And I'm assuming you're usually what live bait out there there.

Speaker 8 (57:02):
So yeah, using live bait on RB tackle is going
to be bringing some live bait out there too, which
is say, they're the guys that fisher.

Speaker 6 (57:10):
With alf shore.

Speaker 8 (57:10):
They really knew how to take care of their bait.
It's a big difference when you have good bait out there. Yes,
it is, so I'm excited about that. But then it's
also it takes my a little bit of advantage away
because everybody's going to be able to get that same.

Speaker 2 (57:23):
Beat using shadows. Shiners out there, Shiners, Okay, I know
that's Johnny Steel like in shadow.

Speaker 4 (57:30):
I have a question, Can you use any kind of
bait you want? Are you stuck on the competition with
certain baits?

Speaker 35 (57:35):
No, you could use that, You could use an use anything.

Speaker 2 (57:38):
Yeah, yeah, maybe tried live craduds while he's out there.
You could kowski scores, but hey, you never know, man.

Speaker 8 (57:45):
Some wild caught shiners, some bluelegill. I mean that would
be if you put the work in and get them,
and you're you're definitely putting yourself.

Speaker 3 (57:52):
I thought it was live bait. Eric, why'd you say,
Why did you say live craducts? I thought it was
live bait.

Speaker 2 (57:57):
I had, oh.

Speaker 3 (58:00):
Prove my point.

Speaker 2 (58:01):
Wait, thinking about live Stuffmber, as a kid, I can
actually go to the supermarket and buy these containers full
of live worms, right, and they sold them in these
little pint sized containers, and you can walk down to
the fishing bank throwing on a hook man and catch
like a brimmer oscars or whatever. It's pretty cool. Nobody
who's using the live worms anymore anyway.

Speaker 4 (58:23):
They still have the live worms that the wind Dix,
the old.

Speaker 2 (58:25):
Schoo for really still selling those things.

Speaker 4 (58:28):
No, it's the old food they leave out. You skip
the worms that come.

Speaker 2 (58:33):
Oh it's those kind of worms anyway. All right, Sean,
last time we rambled like this, you said we were rambling,
So we'll stop rambling. Yeah, I'm not in it.

Speaker 9 (58:40):
I'm not in a tournament. You can go all day, though,
really only when there's.

Speaker 8 (58:45):
Only when there's the lines in at seven o'clock.

Speaker 2 (58:46):
It's the problem, Sean.

Speaker 5 (58:48):
So Eric and I got into a little tiff about this,
and Eric believes that if you use live crab that
you need to say I'm using live bait, and I
told him there's a difference between using live quote unquote
bait or if you're going for like permit, you're gonna
say I'm using live crap, right, So how would you

(59:11):
say that?

Speaker 2 (59:12):
Who cares?

Speaker 3 (59:13):
Because you made a big deal.

Speaker 2 (59:14):
Out of this. Why do you bring on this one though?

Speaker 8 (59:17):
I'm sorry you say.

Speaker 3 (59:19):
Live bait when you're going using crap?

Speaker 2 (59:22):
Did you just hear what he said? I'm going why
natural bait or it's artificial the uh.

Speaker 8 (59:31):
Never heard battle teal or something like that.

Speaker 3 (59:33):
No way, I never heard that.

Speaker 2 (59:35):
You're from Jersey, un totally uneducated. Okay, that's what Wow, Sew,
you got my back man, I've never heard that, never heard.
You're right, Oh, Sean, we're going to rock the clock man.
But hey, thanks again, brof. You got to doing your thing.
You're kicking butt ticking names, and hopefully that young man
won't do you at the around up coming.

Speaker 3 (59:54):
He seems ready.

Speaker 2 (59:55):
I hope, he says the bus man.

Speaker 8 (59:58):
He's good friends with Dream, so he's got his insight
connection there.

Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
But we'll see, all right, Meg, good luck.

Speaker 8 (01:00:05):
You buddy A right see, you guys had my back on.

Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
The live baked there Joey, it makes no sense. It
does to him. He catches more fish than you do.
At Lease. He catches more fishes than we do. It's
because he fishes more, obviously, Joe Right, seven o'clock hour,
covin up. We all kinds of funch stuff ahead, keep
it right where you got it seven o'clock one time,
actually for a chime at Fox Sports Night forty.

Speaker 13 (01:00:32):

us here with the fishing, but also with the number
of trips we've been doing. We were a little slower
this week. We did a lot of maintenance this week.
But yeah, there's there's some fish around. It's starting to
starting to trickle in. You'll get your random tuna here
and there every once in a while. I'm gonna call

(01:06:26):
it and say, next week the show is going to

Speaker 45 (01:06:57):
Nothing crazy. I've seen a few random ones here and there.
But yeah, this is I mean, the moon's getting bigger
right now? What are we right around the full moon? Yeah, April, Yeah,
I mean right here things are going to start changing.

Speaker 2 (01:07:14):
Your thing is days before the full moon or days
after the full moon? What's the better time?

If we're talking wahoo, they always say a few days before,
a few days after.

Speaker 2 (01:07:25):
My thing is the tide.

Speaker 45 (01:07:26):
I like the outgoing tide for the wahoo, So I
always try to play the tides where, you know, try
to catch yourself fishing on the outgoing tide and get
better results.

Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
Yeah, I agree, I asked her, I did ask you
a question. I've never asked anybody on the show this before. Benny,
when did you actually know in your life what do
you want to become a professional fishing captain? Something you
thought about as a kid or just hit you later
in life. Question?

Speaker 45 (01:07:51):
I mean, I think it was always a you know,
a dream to grow up and be a charter captain.
Maybe you always looked at the charter captains as like
a rich retire guy. Now and then you get into
the business, starts seeing how some of these people run
their business and how some of them treat their customers.
And it was almost like if they could.

Speaker 2 (01:08:09):
Do it, I could do it type of deal. But
not if I treat their customers bad. You don't. You
don't treat your people bad. So you're gonna be those
good guy captains. That is a yell at their course,
right of course. Yeah, well I don't know about that,
but you know, we try. I'd tell you the fish
up Boucher's boat back in the day, and he would
literally chew me a new a man. If I didn't

(01:08:30):
do something the way he liked it, he would get
all over my ash man. And yeah, my son's like,
that's not the way to do with Eric. You have
to tell that they got twenty five yards and working faster.
You do his voice work much faster than that. Eric,
You're doing it wrong, but at a hier octave. Okay,

(01:08:50):
he just trying to be helpful, but it was kind
of harsh. Anyway, you're paying, you're paying the guys I've
been yelled at. I get it.

Speaker 3 (01:08:56):
Yeah, I got yelled up by a few different captains.

Speaker 2 (01:08:59):
I don't doubt that's usually every weekend here. Say yeah, so, Benny,
I guess uh, Joe's asking us a question about Wahoo.
We talked about that mahi a been scarce, man, I
haven't heard much about that. What is that you said,
Mahi mahi? I never heard of those not here mahi.
Yeah yeah, see, Betty, they've been around. They're just a

(01:09:23):
little small right now. I mean, I don't know, it's
been a weird year for the mahi, even all summer.
It's like we never had a good mahi run, you know, yeah, yeah,
it's right. I think it's different, man.

Speaker 5 (01:09:34):
I really think that they've changed course and we're just
getting like pocket remnants of them. I just don't think
it's the same. I mean when I first moved here,
it was different. I mean we I remember going out
I got a charter years ago. I mean I'm talking
like when I first moved here and we caught like

(01:09:55):
six mahi that were all the smallest was like fit
fifteen pounds the smallest. And that's not even that long ago.
But it just feels like something like that is such
a rarity now, right. I don't know, I just think
it's different. What do you think, Sean, Sean?

Speaker 2 (01:10:16):
I mean, oh, I was waiting to kick in.

Speaker 25 (01:10:21):
There.

Speaker 3 (01:10:22):
I just talk to Sean.

Speaker 45 (01:10:23):
I just I got and I was that's funny when
you said that, I just pictured Sean Rolls.

Speaker 35 (01:10:28):
But yeah, no, exactly.

Speaker 45 (01:10:29):
Man, It's like, uh, it's weird, you know the mah
he ain't around like they used to be. They're not
as big as they used to be. I definitely think
they used to be more in abundance. It definitely definitely,
especially we used to be able to get the bigger
fish a lot more consistently. We never even had to
measure them. Yeah, and uh, yeah, it's weird. You don't
see those big fish as much anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:10:50):
Yeah. I thought the Norm beckoff last night, Betty, and
he was talking about the fact that he's got some
guys he knows that. He said, bluefend have been running
through all of Soft Florida.

Speaker 3 (01:10:58):
Yeah, big blue it's that time right where they We.

Speaker 45 (01:11:02):
Actually got spooled this week really fast, and that's what
we thought it could have been. But it was probably
either a blue fin or a big yellow fin. Actually,
we did catch a yellow fin this week also. I
forgot to mention, Oh, man, yeah, we did catch a
little yellow fin this week.

Speaker 2 (01:11:16):
Last a yellowphant. Benny. I recall you posting go on
Facebook showing that big woyd and you were get there,
tain your friends with I don't recall ever getting a
bite of that, and I was kind of like begging
here for one. So good did he catch the yellow fant?
Benny was yellowhant.

Speaker 9 (01:11:31):
I didn't.

Speaker 45 (01:11:31):
I didn't even see none of this fish. I don't
even know if this fish got kept.

Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
It was you putting our hands out here for free
stuff on this show. But anyway, Benny, you got spooled though.
Huh yeah, yeah, Captain Tyler, he got spooled.

Speaker 45 (01:11:45):
He was just got dumped really fast, locked up on him,
and uh, I guess lost.

Speaker 2 (01:11:51):
The fish never even had a chance on him. Actually
a blue fin. I just regularly like maybe a tiel
do your something? Spool you like a second? Yeah, that's
that's not too to tackle.

Speaker 28 (01:12:04):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:12:05):
You gotta you gotta be ready for those fish, no
doubt about it.

Speaker 2 (01:12:08):

going all right?

Speaker 8 (01:19:22):
You?

Speaker 37 (01:19:22):
Coogan's Let's get to it because we got a lot
to talk about.

Speaker 2 (01:19:26):
Norm taking away. She gave me a great report last
night talking about Broward County and fishing in general.

Speaker 37 (01:19:32):
Man looping tunas. You guys know about bloping.

Speaker 2 (01:19:36):
Tunas, all right, well it tastes good.

Speaker 37 (01:19:40):
A few guys found out about bloping tuna is the
hard way, and it was more than just a few
all the way from the Keys, all the way up.

Speaker 2 (01:19:47):
To Palm Beach.

Speaker 37 (01:19:48):
But there were several boats, uh, I know of eight
that had loop and tuna bites while they were sail fishing.
Oh okay, right here in bri Yeah, right here in
Brown County. Captain Vinnie Sachs got surprised. They were fighting
a forty six pound jack cravell that ate one of

(01:20:09):
their kite baits. And while they were fighting the big jack,
a blue fin tuna came up and ate their long
kite bait and smoked the TLD twenty five.

Speaker 2 (01:20:23):
Not even a chance storm. You can't even grab the rock. Yeah,
just suck wow.

Speaker 37 (01:20:31):
And that happened several that several plays. Okay, so uh
that was on Sunday.

Speaker 4 (01:20:39):
Uh.

Speaker 37 (01:20:39):
There were no reports of them after Sunday, But Sunday
was a pretty phenomenal day.

Speaker 2 (01:20:44):
Now, Uh.

Speaker 37 (01:20:45):
The fishing throughout the week has been very good. Uh.
We're getting a good strong run of mahi mahi.

Speaker 6 (01:20:54):
Uh.

Speaker 37 (01:20:54):
They first started out this week at small fish. You know,
you have to pick to a dozen or two and
of them before you get three or four keepers. But
gets a better fish and some of them got bill
marks in them.

Speaker 6 (01:21:07):
Guys.

Speaker 37 (01:21:08):
Okay, y'all know what that means. That means there's some
blue marlins following them around, all right. The sail fishing
was really pretty good here. You had to have a
pretty mean live baka with the kites to make that happen,
but there were a lot of There were a lot
of boats that caught sailfish.

Speaker 25 (01:21:29):
A few won the.

Speaker 37 (01:21:29):
Troll too, but it was pretty good. Some big bomber
black fntunas are starting to show up now, some fishing
the twenty to twenty five pound range and the kingfishing
under reef is okay. A few who's showing up as well.
Not too bad. And there was some big swordfish caught

(01:21:50):
earlier on in the week when we had the calmer weather.
There was one guy that caught one that cored out
at six hundred and sixty pounds. They figured out broke. Yeah,
they figured that fish would have broke the state record
at around eight hundred and fifty pounds. And as you
most of you guys know, Uh, Nick Danzick holds the

(01:22:11):
state record with seven fifty seven that he caught back
in like I think it was twenty twenty three.

Speaker 2 (01:22:19):
Yeah, yeah, the fish monster fish.

Speaker 25 (01:22:22):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:22:22):
Man, so hot and proward man, I mean all these
blooping normally what is migrating to their next territories up
the whole thing. They passed through here and just going
in merry way.

Speaker 37 (01:22:34):
Yeah, it seems like it seems like they're moving north.

Speaker 27 (01:22:37):
Uh.

Speaker 37 (01:22:38):
They starting the keys of come in on a really
hard east wind, and some of those guys are fishing
for him down there right in the sand where they
catch the ballet Hu's and the blue fins have come
in there and shower the valley. Who's just like the
saalefish have always done. They move up the coast and
in fact, Joe, you're gonna like this one. Uh, they're

(01:23:00):
coming in real close to the beach at nor in
North Carolina. There's a pier up there. There's a pier
up there on the outer banks called Jeannette's pier and
several blue fins have been hooked and even a couple
of landed on the pier from the.

Speaker 3 (01:23:15):
Fire on a pier.

Speaker 2 (01:23:18):
Yep, you got to kid that man.

Speaker 25 (01:23:21):
Wow.

Speaker 37 (01:23:22):
So they got this, So they got this crazy rule
up there in North Carolina that it's illegal to maintain
to because that's a bluefin tuna if it's not caught
from a boat. So you know what a guy why
a guy went out there in a kayak joe and
he hooked a bit tuna out of the k a
tragged it onto the beach.

Speaker 3 (01:23:43):
That's great. That is that blue little dragged five hundred miles.

Speaker 2 (01:23:47):
Normally if it's land. But you can get them. Dang,
that's crazy man. Wow, man, how big was the was
the blue fin? You think on the kayak?

Speaker 26 (01:23:57):
Uh?

Speaker 37 (01:23:57):
He looked like he was about one hundred and fifty
maybe two.

Speaker 2 (01:24:00):
She wasn't a beast. Okay, that's that's fightable's still it's
still huge. Yeah, all right.

Speaker 3 (01:24:06):
I thought he was gonna say like sixty.

Speaker 2 (01:24:07):
Yeah, whatever, I got the boat. Norby telling you a
little noise back, you're like your marina and you're on
the boat or somewhere we're at.

Speaker 37 (01:24:15):
That is the sound of economy and class.

Speaker 2 (01:24:19):
Okay, all right, with a happy note, norm We'll let
you go. Thanks to good Man banging report or great
great stuff, Buddy awesome, I got that dog.

Speaker 3 (01:24:31):
Sugning our great friend Johnny.

Speaker 2 (01:24:33):
Stop bill right now, man.

Speaker 3 (01:24:35):
Man, that's crazy.

Speaker 32 (01:24:37):
Here's john I'm.

Speaker 2 (01:24:39):
Blue fit on a yack. I'd love to see that video.
They got one anyway, Johnny, Good on to you, buddy boy,
Good morning. How are you man?

Speaker 49 (01:24:49):
You know, I am dandy. I have been working like crazy,
fishing like crazy. I'm fishing a tournament on Sunday. We
pre fished yesterday and uh we smoked them. So we're
feeling pretty good going into it and looking forward to it,
looking forward to making a name for myself in the

(01:25:10):
tournament world.

Speaker 2 (01:25:12):
You know, well, of the few guys you can actually
open up the show and say, how you doing, Johnny,
things are dandy.

Speaker 3 (01:25:20):
Happy guy.

Speaker 2 (01:25:20):
That's fine. I've never had to use the word dandy
in about thirty years, man, so I'm gonna have to
steal that, Joe Dandy. I don't feel a dandy. Yeah,
dog dandy.

Speaker 49 (01:25:29):
You know the big thing that where I get all
that from is I get a lot of Southern people
that come fish with me, so I pick up their
little you know, you know language, innuendos and uh, that's
where it is like, you know, that's you'll hear me
say if we catch a big fish.

Speaker 7 (01:25:48):
Oh, that's a good end.

Speaker 2 (01:25:50):
Good. Yeah, like Georgia's slang. That's a good there, Joe,
that's there, Spetunia.

Speaker 49 (01:26:02):
Weird, it's weird, but it's I don't know, when you
listen to it all day, you start saying it.

Speaker 4 (01:26:08):
Of course, what are some other good ones there? What
is Johnny? What some other good ones you got?

Speaker 37 (01:26:16):
Oh that's a dandy.

Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
That's a dandy's backer, kid, all right, how about some
dandy news. What have you been catching this week here, buddy.

Speaker 49 (01:26:24):
Boy, everything and anything you want? Peacocks, clown knite fish, snakeheads,
spotted tilapia's large mouthed bass, peacock.

Speaker 6 (01:26:37):
I think are the peacocks?

Speaker 2 (01:26:40):
Uh? Mine?

Speaker 49 (01:26:41):
Sick lads, oscars, lots of bluegills?

Speaker 2 (01:26:48):
Sweet? So is Johnny fish in your tournament?

Speaker 40 (01:26:51):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:26:51):
Johnny helps with the tournament.

Speaker 2 (01:26:53):
Yeah, that's a ripoff. Wh would you have him not
catching fish during the turn?

Speaker 5 (01:26:56):
He's one of the big what he does, he's one
of the big help and wayboats for the tournament.

Speaker 2 (01:27:02):
Jump jump on some cash. Why do you put to
go to work man because he's not allowed not allowed?
That will change because what if we said you, I
don't want to be a helpful I want to be
a fisherman the thing, Nah, he wouldn't do. That'd be dandy.

Speaker 3 (01:27:17):
Then I wouldn't be dandy.

Speaker 2 (01:27:21):
You begin to get it done there or whateverbody anyways,
so that sounds very great. We havee a question on
the show. Jodah had an argument last hour, which we
are all the time.

Speaker 3 (01:27:31):
Oh, Johnny will know.

Speaker 2 (01:27:32):
He will know when you're using let's say shiners or
using shad. Do you say I'm going to bring along
some live shad? You just say I'm bringing some shad.

Speaker 3 (01:27:43):
No, you're doing it wrong. Eric said that wrong. Johnny,
just don't listen to that.

Speaker 5 (01:27:49):
So if you are used, if you're fishing for tarpain, okay,
we're going tarpin fishing.

Speaker 2 (01:27:53):
You and I.

Speaker 5 (01:27:55):
Now if we brought pilchered and goggle ie, we'd say, hey,
we're bringing some live bait, right, But if we're going
tarbefishing and we're using crab, normally people will say I'm
using live crab. Not I'm bringing live bait. So what
term do you do you hear people when they're using

(01:28:16):
crab say that I'm using live bait, or do they
always say I'm using live crab.

Speaker 41 (01:28:23):
So when I'm using filtereds, I call them pil cheese.
We got some pil cheese in the well. We're ready
to go.

Speaker 2 (01:28:36):
Man.

Speaker 28 (01:28:37):
When I'm using god goggle eyes, I.

Speaker 35 (01:28:40):
Say, we got we got gods.

Speaker 49 (01:28:42):
We're ready to rip some salefish out of the water
and slow for wahoo.

Speaker 41 (01:28:48):
Well, when we have crabs on the boat, we got
krabby patties.

Speaker 2 (01:28:53):
Yes see it's a term. He calls them krabby patties.

Speaker 4 (01:28:57):
Isn't that dandy?

Speaker 2 (01:28:59):
Well, that's mighty andy thing there.

Speaker 3 (01:29:01):
I think Johnny's morphing into a.

Speaker 2 (01:29:02):
Southern Johnny's his own dictionary.

Speaker 25 (01:29:05):

Speaker 2 (01:50:03):
There's plenty of room for activities.

Speaker 17 (01:50:05):
And with all this space, you're gonna want to be
using this.

Speaker 22 (01:50:08):
Tallboard for yoga fishing.

Speaker 2 (01:50:10):
Do you name it?

Speaker 23 (01:50:11):
And you know Nagle Ventures has every single attachment piece
that you could imagine to hold all.

Speaker 50 (01:50:16):
Of your near secure cat Does the Catameron style hoole
help with making it easier to paddle?

Speaker 22 (01:50:22):
Yeah, it definitely does, Johnny.

Speaker 23 (01:50:23):
This feature maximizes the buoyancy and it really reduces the
weight to volume ratio.

Speaker 2 (01:50:29):
The large tunnel on the hole.

Speaker 22 (01:50:30):
This minimizes the.

Speaker 17 (01:50:31):
Surface area on the water, which.

Speaker 11 (01:50:33):
Allows the L four Expedition to slice through the water
with more speed in comparison to many of the racing
boards that you've got on the market today.

Speaker 50 (01:50:41):
I've seen multiple people on these boards before too. Didn't
you say a hold of just seven hundred pounds?

Speaker 27 (01:50:47):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:50:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:50:47):
And get this the live L four Expedition.

Speaker 2 (01:50:49):
It only weighs sixty five pounds.

Speaker 22 (01:50:51):
Crazy buoyancy for how light it is. This is the
perfect board to throw in the truck head to the
beach and go full angler mode.

Speaker 17 (01:50:58):
If this board goes missing from the toy chest.

Speaker 3 (01:51:01):
It was no me u.

Speaker 2 (01:51:14):
So I saw that thing. You actually put an outboard,
small outboard at the back of that thing, and that
actually paddle. I think it's pretty cool. I'd be very
cool myself. A little little mercury might d on the
back of that bad boys and take off and go.

on shore by two o'clock.
