Speaker 4 (00:30):

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Yeah you remember that nineteen twenty.

Speaker 2 (00:35):

on radio streaming on the planet, brought to you by
the number one boat dealership in America, not a Gold
Ventures Marine group, I might add America. I want a joy. Hey,
how were you? You're freshly shaved? It like that.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Look you know you know where we're going today?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
You look actually presentable. Thank you.

Speaker 5 (00:56):
We're going so I have a wedding to go to
today and guess who's getting married?

Speaker 2 (01:00):
We actually take your head off of the wedding. Absolutely not,
are you kidding me?

Speaker 6 (01:04):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:04):
I wear like a nicer hat.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
You don't take your head off for a wedding.

Speaker 5 (01:10):
I mean, if they asked me to. But you know
that is I can't comb my hair. It's a fro
you saw it.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
They'd get like a shaved marine cut man, do something,
cut it back.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
Then.

Speaker 5 (01:23):
I have a tiny head. Guys like, if I cut
it short, my head looks smaller.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
I look like beetlejuice. Remember when the guy like makes
his head small.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
You have a small head, and he's like, wow, there
you go. There's no way you have a small head,
No chance. Beg and knife jeffs wait real quick.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
I'm sorry, but it's Skyler, Skyler from Nautical Ventures.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
He's getting married today.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Oh congratulations man, Yeah you're going right, Yeah, I'll be
there sure ye uh Jeff and Knife forty. Thank you
very much, Stephen Jake right, thanks for flying the ship
if you wanted to you my friend. Okay, you're going
to come back there.

Speaker 7 (01:58):
Oh good morning, tiny head, there you.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Go, Thank you very much. So we have a load
of potato this morning, jell. Let's get right to the
first guy in the shoot. Man, let's do it. He's
been busier than heck all week long. Yeah, Jimbo Thomas,
you want to bring him out in your famous fabulous style.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
You know what, I'm going to do something new today.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Let's do it. Man, Captain Yep Jimbo Thomas. That was
really weak, man, But I guess he likes to.

Speaker 6 (02:26):
The moderate better than a lot of them.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
You mean all the previous copos we've done before.

Speaker 5 (02:32):
Yeah, correct, correct, we could do like you know, his
name is Jimbo.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Slim Jimbo. I know you fished a lot, man. I
saw some post you had some mahi. I think, what's
going on, buddy.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
Yeah, well, we didn't fish a lot, but we did
fish a little. How's that sound? Fish has been all right? Offshore?
There have been some dolphin there. They're not jumping in
the boat by any means, but if you spend some
time out there, you more than likely are going to
come across some The guys fishing along the edge in
shallow have been seeing a few dolphin, but as you

(03:12):
get further offshore, that seems to be with a bulk
of mari. Yesterday we were the ones we caught were
i'd say twelve to eighteen miles off shore, so we
were out there are good ways. We've been complaining about
all the seaweeds in the previous few weeks, but that's

(03:33):
kind of dried up for now, although it could be
back and force today. But the seaweed was pretty easy
to navigate through. We did find some larger patches way
out there, like the sixteen mile range, and that's where
we caught the bulk of our fish yesterday. No big ones,
just schoolies, but enough to make a few good meals

(03:55):
at least. And then we did it.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
We did.

Speaker 6 (03:58):
We threw them and let ghosts with small all the
ones as well. And then it seems like all morning
we never saw bird. And then after about twelve twelve
thirty we started seeing birds. So I don't know if
it's a pattern that maybe they're popping up later in
the day or just coincidence, but you know, after that
we started seeing birds on a pretty regular basis. We

(04:20):
were using our Simrat halo radar to spot the birds.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, thank you, oh yeah very much.

Speaker 6 (04:31):
You know, with it being nice and it was relatively
calm out there yesterday, and that's when those radars really
worked good for spotting the birds. Ev it's rough makes
it a little tough, but uh so, yeah, we were
spotting the birds pretty regular basis. But the ones that
we caught under the birds seemed to be on the
smaller side. So there are dolphin out there and then

(04:52):
a little closer in along the edge of the gulf Shroom.
A few of the boats did stay in there and
have been staying in there the last few days, and
there's still some stin fish being caught in an occasional kingfish.
I have no black fin tunas they I guess they're
done pretty much this season. Yeah, well there's noways as possibility,
but so sales banitas, occasional dolphin and an occasional king

(05:18):
along the edge, mostly on live beats.

Speaker 5 (05:21):
What about wahoo anything there? I haven't seen anything with wahoo.

Speaker 6 (05:26):
I haven't heard of any personally so nor seen any
on any social media.

Speaker 8 (05:34):
So no very few wahoo's.

Speaker 6 (05:36):
Although that I've only got a half day today, so
I'm not going to be able to make that fifteen
miles offshore routine, although they could be in closer, you
never know, but we'll probably start out trolling the planers
and that's where you always have a shot at a wahoo. Now,
the water has been beautiful, there's been a lot of

(05:56):
current right in close, so the conditions or right to
catch a wahou, but there just haven't been any car
But I'm aware of jib.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
I've got a question for you, my friend. Totally off
track here real quick. If you're going to someone's wedding, right,
would you ever think about wearing a freaking fishing baseball
style cap on your head to the wedding?

Speaker 6 (06:23):
Personally? No, because I don't. I only wear a hat
when I'm on the boat. I don't ever wear one
on on land, so that would be negative. But you
wouldn't upset me.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Okay, wearing a hat to a wedding and I just
can't figure out that at all. Why who does that? Dude?

Speaker 3 (06:42):
It's not like I'm in the wedding party.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Who wears it? I'm just like a like a you know,
dora one of those fancy Italian hats.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
How do you know? I don't do that?

Speaker 2 (06:51):
You don't you're wearing I.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Walk up, I'm like.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Torgia language. Well you're a son? Tell them like Hungarian
or something.

Speaker 6 (07:04):
Yeah, I'm not quite sure either.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
What are you Italian all the sudden? Man? I missed
this party? You head that today or what? Buddy?

Speaker 6 (07:14):
Yeah, yes we are. So it looks like it's gonna
be a nice day.

Speaker 8 (07:19):
We're gonna like I just mentioned a little bit ago.

Speaker 6 (07:22):
If you were paying attention we are going to control
the plans today.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
A yeah, man, he said that. I regret that, Yes
he did. Yes? What what? What colors?

Speaker 3 (07:33):
What color skirts?

Speaker 6 (07:36):
Typically? I like a pink sea witch and a bonita strip. Wow,
that seems to be the universally favorite color for a
sea witch. But we usually mix it up.

Speaker 8 (07:51):
We'll put a maybe a.

Speaker 6 (07:53):
White and blue one and a pink one and put
two of them out there and see which one outfishes
the other. But and along, Reddit's just about.

Speaker 8 (08:02):
The same usually in my opinion.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Okay, Jim Bow, tight lines man, hook them up today
and just knock him dead, dude, get them get him in,
load de boat, buddy.

Speaker 6 (08:11):
All right, And I got bad news for you. I'm
not gonna be here next week. I'm going to the
Bahamas tomorrow for ten days.

Speaker 9 (08:17):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (08:18):
And I'm not gonna I'm gonna be over there, not
over here.

Speaker 8 (08:22):
So you're on your own.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Why is that bad news? I mean, I'm sorry, cam Well, because.

Speaker 6 (08:27):
I know how much you love to hear me and
Saturday morning.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
I do. I do, Barry. I miss you so much. Okay,
all right, Jim, thank you, mate. Thanks Jim Bow tight
lines pal.

Speaker 6 (08:42):
You got it, guys. Good luck to everybodys.

Speaker 10 (08:45):
Announcements program put news announcements.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
We have been interrupted for an important news announcement, Joe Asteroid,
I don't know up a the simbred machine which doubles
is a newswire. Just spit out some information for me.
It's right here in front of me. We digestus for
a second. Yeah, Joe, there's some exciting news in the
Nautical Ventures camp these days. Nautical Ventures has officially been

(09:12):
acquired by Vision Marine Technologies on the Nasdaq VMAR. They've
been acquired by Vision Marine.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
What so, what does that mean?

Speaker 2 (09:23):
It means a whole life first of all, vmaar. By
the way, I just added adjultive innovation to Florida's favorite
boat dealership. Now I'm not to ask that question, Joe,
because thanks. So what's changing, honestly, just one thing. Everything
is getting better. That means that Nautical Ventures will offer
more boats, more toys, more innovation, and all with the

(09:43):
same epic water adventures you know and love.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
So Earlier this year, Nautical Ventures got the number one dealer.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Correct ye in America.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
In America.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
Okay, and now you're talking about this. This is this
is awesome, man.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
This is pretty big breaking news. I can see what
the SpongeBob things in for sure. Man. Okay, now they're
still your go to plagraph were all things fun in
the water, but now they're bringing the future into the
fold with Vision Marine technology. Okay, just so you know,
the gentleman at the helm, Alec Monsion, the big guy.
He's got some great ideas that are absolutely menifique. That's

(10:24):
French for magnificent menifique. Okay, now speaking innovation, joy just
so happens, by chance, I got a little video here
of what these electric motors and Vision Marine can actually do.
The actually are breaking water speed records. Shall we roll
that show the mack it out? Okay, yep, they're breaking

(10:52):
these really big speed records with these outboards and they're
really good, like this one lake. I forget up north.

Speaker 11 (11:00):
Actric boats are becoming more commonplace, But where do you
turn when you want something with more kick than your
standard battery powered pontoon. Vision Marine may have something in
the works. The company last weekend brought the V thirty two,
a thirty two foot catamaran, to an event on Lake
of the Ozarks, and completely shattered the speed record for
an electric boat. The vessel, powered by a pair of

(11:21):
Vision Marines Emotion electric outboards, reached a top speed of
one hundred and nine miles per hour that was fast
enough to fully demolish the previous electric boat speed record
of eighty eight point six miles per hour set in
twenty eighteen by Jaguars Vector V twenty e. While it's
still far short of the three hundred and seventeen miles
per hour the Spirit of Australia clocked at back in

(11:43):
nineteen seventy eight, it's still incredibly impressive. Vision said it
worked with Hellcat power Boats and Octilian Power Systems to
design the V thirty two so it could hold the
battery packs necessary for powering both motors. The company spent
several months optimizing the electric motors, the seven hundred vold batteries,
and the cooling circuitry, along with the necessary hardware and software.

(12:06):
Vision Marine CEO and co founder Alex Mangion said the
demonstration was about proving that a transition to electric power
in the marine industry is achievable.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
Electric boats.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Mighty big breaking news this morning, this time of the morning.
Joe for rush. Yeah, man, get that out and do
it proper and give the proper props they deserve. It's
pretty shaking stuff.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
Exciting. I mean, the whole thing in general is exciting.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
To see those motors go the way they go and
what they'll do with nautical ventures and incorporate that with
their whole operation is sure mighty dog good. But the
acquisition has happened, is officially now a done deal? Dude, Wow,
we broke the news on this show. First. I'm very
proud to say, wow, how about that?

Speaker 5 (12:47):
And you know it's amazing, Like from someone that has
been there since the beginning, you know how proud I
am of just the growth and now this taking them
to another level.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
I think it's awesome.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Technology is so good, Joe, that I heard rumored that
they actually have these android radio hosts that may be
sitting in these seats within the next couple of months.
Really we may be replaced.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
H is so amazing.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Oh, now Stevens get great picks some of the applause, Thank
you very much. All right, fun stuff.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
I can't wait for more on this.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
I can't wait either, my friend.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
This is great.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
I've got a vision Joe that Cordolkowski's coming up next,

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Nautical Ventures Weekly Fisherman Show powered by Mercury Marine. Go boldly,
here's there a Brandon and Joe Hector.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Well, let's go tip bar peking in the fresh water
pond where people are hand feeding snakeheads. I've heard chicken
wings and what butter sausage? What clever butter sausage? Butter sausage?
That's Securybusey line, who have been compared to you many
a time on the show. I don't know why. Yes,

(17:53):
they've called me Gary a few times of this program.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
Why would they think that?

Speaker 2 (17:57):
I don't even know how mins at all? Not a
bit man? Maybe, so what we think I have? No idea? Yeah, Cary,
No Rokowski multiple snakehead record holder is one. And let's say, hey,
shall I? Yeah, let's do it? Corey, Hey do buddy, Hey, Corey.

Speaker 21 (18:15):
Hey, Hey, guys, doing well.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Doing great. Just wait for that Corey Norokowski laugh to
eventually show itself. That's coming up. Oh he did it.

Speaker 21 (18:26):
Yeah, you already you already gotta laugh. You already gotta
laugh out of me when you started that with the
hand beating of the snake head. So thank you.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
And by the way, I saw some photos of Facebook.
You nailed some monster snakeheads this week, Buddy Man.

Speaker 21 (18:40):
Yeah, yeah, noth not hand fed. They were all caught
on artificial lures, so no, no ponpet so yeah, yeah, no,
we got got some got some really nice fish. Really
did that's?

Speaker 8 (18:55):
Uh?

Speaker 21 (18:56):
Saturday last week? Well it was actually Sunday. Saturday was
more of a numbers wasn't really a lot of big fish,
but Sunday was definitely the bigger fish day. I got
some really nice fish.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
Wow, I'm assuming yeah, were throwing those frogs off the
bank or any special bait.

Speaker 21 (19:15):
A lot a lot of it was. I got him
on the frogs. We also got them big. What got
a lot of the bigger fish was the artificial crawdads.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
We talked about that, remember that when that story came up.
So yeah, you actually tried the artificial crowdads.

Speaker 21 (19:34):
Huh yeah, yeah, the we were I was Texas rigging them,
so you know, using it with a weight and uh
just bumping it off the bottom and uh really that
was the ticket that was really getting a lot of
the bigger fish.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
Wow. Cool.

Speaker 21 (19:50):
And it just seemed like about nine thirty ten o'clock
it kind of the top ware bike kind of died
and then that's what it had to go to you
get those bigger fish, just fish in general. That was
that was a big, big deal.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
Corey U. Joe is the story to share with you
because his daughter Mia caught a just a beast peacock
and during the breakers asking him how he caught it,
and he told me something which I fight hard to believe.
So did you, but Joe, tell him how you caught
that fish? Buddy?

Speaker 5 (20:24):
I mean I think we talked about this before with
the snakehead, but so with me, uh you know, with
her Rod, I just throw a worm on there, you
know what I mean, the big the big ones, the
monster earthworms.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
Yes, the ones you get in the styrophone.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
Yea, whoever does that anymore? I was something I did
back when I was a kid at like nine years old.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
Well, exactly.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
I'd buy those for a quarter, right.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
So, like when you have.

Speaker 5 (20:46):
A kid, it's great because they can play with them,
they can mess with them, they can put them on
It teaches them how to put something on a hook
without them getting a little freaked out, like with a fish,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
Like not screaming when the hook goes into it. Exactly,
They're not like screaming. So get to the gist of anyway.

Speaker 5 (21:04):
So, yeah, we threw on an earthworm and we went
to my place again that trade winds and she threw
it in.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
This thing ran jumped. I've never seen one jump.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Dude.

Speaker 5 (21:19):
She got this one in. And this peacock was a monster. Man,
that was a big one. We didn't weigh it, Bet
don't know how much it weighed, but it ate earthworm.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Corey.

Speaker 21 (21:32):
Yeah, that's crazy. Yeah, that's pretty wild for a peacock
to eat an earthworm. I I haven't really ever had
that happen. I mean, because they're they're like you know,
they usually like something moving fast or you know, erradically,
and that's yeah, that's a stake head of the usually
I can see I could see that because that motion
at the snake or the word the worm does. Yeah, peacocks.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
And I will say.

Speaker 5 (21:54):
This though, Corey, I will you mentioned the you know
the movement, right, I will say when we put that
earthworm on there, it was like going crazy once it was.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Hooked because the hook obviously impaled his skin and just
got them all jumped up and like, what the hell
is in my back?

Speaker 5 (22:12):
Oh yeah, so they're huge, These earthworms are huge.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
So I mean.

Speaker 5 (22:16):
I it was moving like insane, like twirling and twisting.
And when she threw that out there, she hooked up
five seconds later, so I mean it was there. But yeah,
so like for anyone out there, like, I'll tell you, yeah,
I mean earthworms. They have caught me now her biggest

(22:39):
snakehead to date, which I posted.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
And they've caught her biggest peacock to date.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
You just took him half a story.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
About you're the one that wanted the story.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
You went wait too long. You just said Bella should
continue on forever. The fake language you did earlier, that
French thing you were talking about, any Italian thing anyway, Corey,
back to you, man, so works with some of the
hot spots where you been this week? This week?

Speaker 8 (23:10):
Uh?

Speaker 21 (23:11):
Well hang on, yeah, we've been. I've been mostly well.
Where I went Saturday that was a greatest area of fishing.
But that or as far as neighbors wise, but that
was like down a lauder Hill some of those areas
down there, those canals, and then up in Boca that's

(23:32):
been good. Wellington's been good, a lot of those canals.
So it's at this time of year, it's a lot
of places can be pretty good. It's because it's it's
kind of the height of you know, the height of
the year for the snakehead bite. It's gonna slow down
a little bit when they're getting super super hot. But

(23:53):
a lot of places right now you can do really well,
especially like I said, early in the morning or you know,
late in the day. I mean, you do well during
the hot the heat of the day. But you gotta
just mix up your tactics.

Speaker 22 (24:05):
That's that's the biggest thing.

Speaker 21 (24:07):
Fine trees, you know, overhanging cover, but you get that
ring to move in that will definitely turn them on.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Yeah, those small many ponds with those.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
Is there any update on that, by the way, on
that whole story.

Speaker 21 (24:27):
I haven't really no, I haven't really heard anything. I
I don't really communicate with the guy. I don't know.
I don't I don't even know him, so I don't
I don't know what's going on with that.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
He's probably did they count though the record, like is
it is it counted?

Speaker 8 (24:46):
It?

Speaker 2 (24:47):
Probably? Probably?

Speaker 21 (24:50):
It Probably it takes some time, I know from what
I was told. He took it there, so it probably
will be, you know, counted, because they wait it. So
it just takes some time.

Speaker 5 (25:02):
So it physically took that fish to like a facility.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
It's so he took it to the heat.

Speaker 21 (25:11):
He took it right to I g f A.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
Yep, Oh you could do that, so future bait Joe. Yeah,
chicken wings just you know, forget the frogs. Chicken wings
off the bump.

Speaker 5 (25:20):
But did you hear that you could physically take the
first so like if mia like catches like a record whatever.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
Potentially that's run off A ninety five. By the way,
there's the I gf ah. So I don't know you
could do that? Yeah, man, you know, yeah, it's.

Speaker 21 (25:34):
Just more than more than likely. The fish are probably
going to be dead when you do that. It's just
not gonna be able to survive, you know, the trek
over there, and that's what happened to that fish as well,
so you know it's it is what it is. Yeah,
it'll probably it'll probably count. So I would probably say
my book here.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
The only legit record holder, Corey. Just you know, Joe
and I both believe you are the the man. Okay,
so we'll get that show.

Speaker 21 (25:59):
I mean, it is what it is. I mean hopefully
it was called an armed fisher, That's all.

Speaker 23 (26:03):
It's don't think.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
All right man today, Corey, on your way to the
fishing grounds or what buddy?

Speaker 21 (26:10):
Yeah, I'm uh, I'm just getting ready to meet up
with the guy client right now, going for snakeheads. So
let's see we can get some get some fish today.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
All right, buddy, I got one more question. Do we
have time?

Speaker 2 (26:22):
But short there, Jojo.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
Corey, let me ask you this.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
Do you think there's like a solid redtail catfish population
here in South Florida or do you think it's just
kind of spotty.

Speaker 21 (26:33):
It's probably spotty, I would say, just because I don't know.
They kind of pop up in all sorts of places.
But I've seen him over in Nape you know. I've
heard of in Maples Live being caught. They've been caught
in Miami here, and I don't know.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
They kind of pop up.

Speaker 21 (26:47):
In all sorts of places. So okay, yeah, it's funny.

Speaker 22 (26:52):
Though.

Speaker 21 (26:52):
I have seen the air of pinemou thing over on
the West Coast. Some guy's got some pond over there
that he's taking people out.

Speaker 6 (26:58):
Now, I guess do it, Joe?

Speaker 2 (27:00):
What don't even go there, Corey Gus. We're talking about that.
What hour, Joe. We'll talk about it.

Speaker 3 (27:06):
Did you hear that?

Speaker 2 (27:07):
Next Saturday? Joe will pick it up the clock Saturday.
You can't talk about that more right now?

Speaker 8 (27:11):
All right?

Speaker 2 (27:13):
Hey, the laugh came, Thanks Cory. Thanks see it, buddy.
We're talking about that next week very much. Wow, all right, Joe,
I think.

Speaker 5 (27:26):
You're like, see you were bashing me earthworms saying that
this isn't real.

Speaker 7 (27:32):
Fine, Wow, we're.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
In the matrix. It's not even real anyway, Joe, just
shoot up. Okay, you think we're in a simulation, we're
definitely yeah, yeah, yeah, I agree. We'll take a little
break it back and get back on the point with
Wayne Cotting on the show. We have star Wright, Bucket
time and a whole lot mo on the show at

with my old self one of the only reward fishing
captain running his fleet.

Speaker 34 (31:37):
The man wait car oh yeah, oh yeah, that's what
I call an intro man.

Speaker 26 (31:44):
That's cool.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
Yes, sir, how are you waiting? Day, Wayne, buddy?

Speaker 26 (31:49):
I'm good man.

Speaker 34 (31:49):
Good morning, gentlemen, good morning, and a fine Saturday it is.
I get to actually be captain today on my own boat.

Speaker 8 (31:55):
It's nice.

Speaker 34 (31:56):
I get take out some folks and put some smiles
on faces, I hope, and that's the goal.

Speaker 26 (32:02):
So awesome, beautiful day. It looks like, So.

Speaker 34 (32:05):
What's been going on in y'all's world. I guess I
got to tell you guys that, so I'll.

Speaker 26 (32:11):
Get to it.

Speaker 34 (32:11):
I know you don't have much time, but night fishing
is the is the thing right now. You know, we're
getting limits to mangrove snappers pretty much nightly. A lot
it has to do with current stuff like that. We
work Thursday, just Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights, that's all. And
for a lot of the folks that stop fishing with
this COVID and all that other stuff at night. The

(32:33):
arena is right across the street from us, and it's
ten bucks to park, and I don't think you can
get parking in downtown Miami for ten bucks for four
or five six hours anywhere, not get towed.

Speaker 23 (32:44):
You know.

Speaker 34 (32:45):
So anyway, we've kind of like tried to navigate things
for the folks, for the locals, and we're only charging
fifty bucks for residents, so you know, we put the
burden of us making a little money on the tourist
seventy five dollars.

Speaker 26 (33:01):
So I don't mind being blunt.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
Honesty.

Speaker 34 (33:05):
Hey, listen, man, you know what, I've always been a
community minded person.

Speaker 26 (33:09):
You know.

Speaker 34 (33:09):
We did did a couple of nice kid events this
week that I didn't blast everybody with, but I got
some great videos I'm putting now the kids catching their
first fish.

Speaker 26 (33:17):
Nice and uh.

Speaker 34 (33:18):
Anyway, but yeah, that's all we do, and we try
to stick to a schedule. We do throwing some pretty
cool trips. We're breaking in some new new crew and
new captains and stuff to free us up more. I
got a beautiful little fifty six foot boats sitting. There
were two live wells that we need to start doing
some daybreak trip trips and dust trips. And think, dude,
I'm thinking about doing a snug tarping trip. I mean,

(33:39):
I grew up doing that stuff. I'm thinking about doing
like Saturday Friday, Saturday night snook snooking tarpin trips depending
upon tide.

Speaker 26 (33:46):
You know, those fish were very critical, you know.

Speaker 34 (33:48):
So so I've always felt like I've taken whatever skills
I've grown up fishing with and put them into party boats.
And uh, Danny Kipness was, you know, my partner, and
he and I. He was more in the South and
I was more in the North. But you know, we
took whatever skills we learned in the met tournament fishing,
things like that light tackle, all the cool stuff we

(34:09):
used to do as kids, and we put them on
party boats and next thing, you know, we're sword fishing,
we're kite fishing, we're fly fishing, we're jigging.

Speaker 26 (34:16):
You know, we're doing all kinds of crazy.

Speaker 34 (34:17):
Stuff, snook fishing off a party Look, it's just a
boat man, you know. I've won sailfish tournaments in a
party boat.

Speaker 26 (34:23):
So wow, really, yeah, yes, I have.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
What So when was that finished?

Speaker 34 (34:29):
In the old Miami tournament back in the nineties, I
was we were in the money. Both of our boats
were booked in many of the tournaments with different different groups.
You know, we take out five six guys and book
us for the Mighty Billfish Tournament.

Speaker 26 (34:43):
We finished in the top ten, oh god, a dozen times. Probably.
I never won Miami.

Speaker 34 (34:48):
I think it was a bob Lewist tournament or was
one of the ones that I was top captain and
came in first. But hey, look, it's all about fish
and fishing and and you know, using whatever you have.
It's not just it's not just grunts and grits. And
sometimes that's good enough. But grits, grunts, ten grits, man, Hey,

(35:09):
you know why you know what grits o? Guns of grunts?

Speaker 2 (35:12):
Yeah, yeah, grits are good. Yeah, you know the grunts?

Speaker 34 (35:18):
Why the yeah, the Key West guys, they call them
Key West pork chops. You know, that's what they call grunts.
Because when you cook them up the way the conksty,
you just scale them and got them, take the heads off,
roll them and cracker meal in the deep frame.

Speaker 26 (35:30):
You look like a pork chops.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
And they actually call them grunts because you catch them
with the hook Joe and you bring up your hand
and hookah. Gay.

Speaker 34 (35:40):
If you guys have ever yeah, if you have ever
caught a croaker or use one for bait, they blow
you away, they get you, they get your live well
starts vibrating. I mean, well, these guys are crazy.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
Oh no, I'm not.

Speaker 34 (35:54):
You feel it's like, but you feel this crazy vibration.
But I'm pretty sure that's why snook and everything you
eat them up north a bit we.

Speaker 26 (36:00):
Don't have them down here. But anyway, that's it.

Speaker 34 (36:04):
Night fishing is by far the best thing. You all
are right running and gunning looking for mahi's uh there.
There's a kind of a technique we used to use
that if you can't get out like a daybreak, leave it.
You know, dolphin don't matter so much mid day. If
you find a floater, they're going to be there.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
You know.

Speaker 34 (36:20):
That's where all this stuff about midday being dead is
out the window when it comes to dolphin, and when
it comes to deep water bottom fishes.

Speaker 26 (36:28):
Like I said, the deep of the water the stupid
of the fish.

Speaker 34 (36:30):
So plan your day around that and sometimes getting past
that first wave of offshore dolphin fishermen. You know, let
them go out and come back at me, and then
you head out. You know, remember the water out the
water out here changes every three or four hours.

Speaker 26 (36:45):
You know, it's going three or four miles an hour
to the north.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
So if you pay attention with these captains say, if
you guys really do pay attention, you'll know when to go,
where to go, what time day to go.

Speaker 26 (36:55):
Sure you use as best you can't.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
Just pay attention. They will tell you what to do.
This the shows all about man. Yeah, I got no problem.

Speaker 34 (37:04):
I got no problem helping anybody do what we do.
Joe's giving me a great life.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
So I have a play grits. Okay, well, thank you
very much. All right to talk, man, have a great weekend,
my brother.

Speaker 34 (37:17):
Thanks guys, Reward Fleet, give us a call. Man, we'll
take care of you. Come right and we'll teach you
something and have some fun.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
All right. Joey bringing in by a double double double
blom today. There you go. That was a finishing brain shot. Excellent, Joey,
Thank you very much. Hey Matthew, how you doing, buddy?

Speaker 4 (37:47):
Yes, sir, you know blowing bubbles today? That's what I
want to know. Who is blowing bubbles today?

Speaker 2 (37:53):
Joe's always got the bubble blowing duties. That's one of
the reasons why you guys are good.

Speaker 4 (37:58):
I'm telling you right now, you guys are good.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
Man, guy, that gets the lobster tails man, that guy.

Speaker 4 (38:03):
That's exactly And you know what, we're counting down to
Mini season, all right, July thirtieth and thirty first, all right,
so a little it's definitely late in the season. You know,
it's the last consecutive Wednesday and Thursday of July, and
it just so happens that it falls on the thirtieth
and the thirty first. But my message is get out

(38:27):
and dive now because it conditions are good. It's eighty
plus degrees.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
You know.

Speaker 4 (38:35):
It was funny as heck. Last week I was on
with you guys, and I think it was Thursday before
I went out with Marshall from Meiser Marina, and man,
it was absolutely gorgeous. I mean, flat and one hundred
plus foot of visibility. We saw five or six turtles.

(38:55):
We had a calith grupper like stalking us. It was awesome.
It was like Jurassic Park down there. It was like
a flee smokes and you know, Eric, we speared some fish, right.

Speaker 2 (39:08):
You know, of course of course you did.

Speaker 4 (39:11):
Of course, of course. Okay, so it was good. But
I'm just telling you. Then on Saturday, after I talked
to you guys, oh man, it's gonna be great. It was.
It was a little chili, not bad, and the visit
had kind of turned into like thirty feet nothing great.

Speaker 2 (39:27):
I was deep.

Speaker 4 (39:28):
We were shallowed a lot of fish, which was really
really good. But we had a north current instead of
a south current, and that it does make a difference
for us in close in Broward County from like Lauderdale
by the Sea, you know, Pompino Boca. Typically it's a
north current and the visit is okay. When we get
that south current, it's absolutely gorgeous.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
So who knows what we're.

Speaker 4 (39:52):
Gonna get today? Boys, who knows, you know? But all
I want to say is get out there. You got
like five weeks left, many too mini seasons. You got
to test out your gear. You got to make sure
everything's working right, and get your plan together. In other words,
guys would go, oh man, you know, let's go now,

(40:13):
put your crew together. The chiefy crew with the relentless
crew has been the same crew for the last five
or six years. And you know what, the only way
you get on that crew is if somebody dies or
moves away. It's the same guys all the time. And
but that's we all get to know each other and
that's good. You know, that's what you need to have

(40:34):
with a good buddy.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
Eric. I've seen photos of his crew by Joe all right,
the average is like one hundred and three.

Speaker 4 (40:43):
Okay, oh that ain't right. You hear this, We are
mixing it up. We actually have some good looking women
on our crew. I have never seen so many available,
good looking young female divers. And you know, I mean,

(41:06):
it's it's incredible. What what everything is kind of.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
A young female divers age to you. I'm just dying
to know. What would that be? Like mid forties? How
about mid forties? No, no, mid forties? Yeah, yeah, that's
still yeah, not bad. You know, every knowing and you
know is that?

Speaker 4 (41:25):
Okay? Erica?

Speaker 2 (41:26):
Are you? Are you or what? I'm a single guy.
You want to hook me up? Man?

Speaker 8 (41:30):
Like?

Speaker 4 (41:30):
Oh yeah, I know you are.

Speaker 32 (41:32):
I know.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
I want to get my number on freely. Okay if
you don't mind, all right, I will. I will.

Speaker 4 (41:36):
But but that would be fun, wouldn't it. We can
then talk about fun. No, not any you know, the
tail tail program. We can't go into that.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
Okay, follow some real quick, Jim, why've been scouting around
shooting for defenseless fish. Have you seen it? Yeah, bugs,
bugs get out run.

Speaker 4 (41:56):
And that that's that's the weird part. Maybe two three
weeks ago we had like this upwelling come coming in
and it was freaking chili down there. I mean it
was cold and men. Bugs were everywhere on the second
reef walking around everything.

Speaker 2 (42:12):
Now, I mean one here, one there.

Speaker 4 (42:15):
One here. So the key will be and this will
be pretty soon in the next couple three weeks. We're
gonna see him cluster together. When they cluster together and
they're coming in shallow, that's the sign you're looking for. Buddy,
there you go and they there yet, I can tell
you that I don't know. I haven't heard any reports
on in the Key's yet. A lot of the guys
have you know, done some spirfishing down there. But the

(42:38):
lobstring is not not been well. It's not season yet,
but a lot of times you get a little preview
and we're not seeing it yet. But it'll come. It always,
you know, it always comes on mini season for whatever.
And that's just for us recreational guys. Remember that August
sixth starts regular season for everyone, including the commercial guys.

(42:59):
The traps are in the water and all that good stuff.

Speaker 2 (43:02):
Frozen tails in your your fridge, your your freezer, all
your around gym bugs I do.

Speaker 4 (43:08):
And the key there is dispensing them at a you know,
a regular basis. You know. We we we hang out
Tuesday night at the Fish Shack, which is in Lighthouse Point.
They do a hook and cook. Okay, a hook and cook.
You cannot beat it. We're up to like ten eleven
people every Tuesday night at seven o'clock. I come by

(43:29):
and see the cheepy crew and the relentless crew. And
that was. That was and you know what.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
He did it? He did it good. He kind of slipped.
He's read your book. You read the Jill Hector shild book.
How does shill? Professor Joseph.

Speaker 4 (43:47):
That's the fish Shack, the fish shack?

Speaker 2 (43:50):
All right, Jim, enough, okay, enough right, but you'll mention
your damn invented the snare thing you've got coming up?

Speaker 4 (43:59):
Well, that's coming up. We'll get that. We'll get that
closer to mini season. Okay. You don't want to get it,
you know, you don't want to do it all at once. Okay,
follow fish Shack. You know we have mahi. We have
lobster tail. Uh. These are for appetizers. We had actually
wahoo for dinner last I mean last Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (44:22):
Wahoo.

Speaker 4 (44:23):
One of the guys called a big Wahoo brought that
in and that's what we had. It's a surprise. There's
a surprise.

Speaker 2 (44:29):
There's a bill coming your way, Jim. It's called they
got for Plucking Restaurants on the show Billy.

Speaker 3 (44:36):
He's just talking about.

Speaker 4 (44:38):
You know, listen, go into the fish shack anytime and say,
don't say that's the thirteen.

Speaker 2 (44:47):
Don't question, do you know? Do you know cheezy?

Speaker 4 (44:52):
And and you walk into the fish.

Speaker 2 (44:54):
Shack in my house, you know, chee You're done.

Speaker 4 (44:58):
And right away you're done.

Speaker 2 (45:00):
Jim, have a great voice. You're out of here.

Speaker 4 (45:03):
I can't wait till next weekend to go to.

Speaker 2 (45:05):
The fish shack and don't come back. Okay, Oh I
love it, I love it. Good bye, Jim.

Speaker 3 (45:12):
All right, buddy, I.

Speaker 2 (45:15):
Might do that, yeah, shortly. But we've got something to
take care of. Joey ye say starbright bucket love full
of wash and wax and deck cleaner and rush remover
and shiner galore with a shammy and the whole Delio
America Now I'm gonna chill about that because they're a
great sponsor, not only for this show, but I believe

(45:35):
they're also tiy into your tournaments, are they not? Oh yeah,
one of our main sponsors, man, which you sponged off
of me, by the way.

Speaker 3 (45:41):
Nope, incorrect sir.

Speaker 5 (45:44):
They aligned with yak yar okay, and then they said, guys,
let's be a big happy family with lots of love.

Speaker 3 (45:51):
So we did this big like.

Speaker 2 (45:52):
Group hug right like. I buy that story.

Speaker 5 (45:55):
And then I said Eric, join us, and Eric said never.

Speaker 2 (46:00):
Can I get to the questions? What's talking about? Eight
six six eight zero one zero nine four zero start
dialing right this second. Here we go. If you buy
a dozen Pilchards, how many are you getting Joe? Twenty four? Yes, twelve? No?
Or six no? I want you to put the math together.

(46:23):
That very small steroid brainiers okay.

Speaker 3 (46:27):
Twenty four.

This is Jack McMullin with your Miami Marlins Minute Well,
the Marlins secured a sweep and their second road sweep
in the month of June, with a twelve to five
win of the San Francisco Giants on Thursday afternoon by
the Bay. The twelve runs tied a season high for
the Marlins offense, and all nine guys in the starting

(51:20):
lineup one through nine secure to basit for just the
second time this year. The Big Boppers. Augustine Ramirez went
three for five with a double and a homer. He
drove in three runs. Kyle Stowers one for three with
a three run homer. He walked twice as well. Only
one guy had multiple hits in this effort, it was Augustine.
But now the Marlins head to the desert. They take

(51:42):
on the Arizona Diamondbacks. Game one of a three game
set in Phoenix is on Friday night, late night, again,
nine to forty Eastern. It'll be Uri Perez against Merrill Kelly.
We get going at nine o'clock with Marlins on deck.

Speaker 8 (52:41):
No, No, it's becoming a thing.

Speaker 3 (52:44):
It's a thing. It's just kind of happened day.

Speaker 8 (52:46):
It's a thing though.

Speaker 2 (52:47):
Light, limpy, wristed, kind of real nice.

Speaker 3 (52:51):
I saw him driving yesterday and I did the same thing.

Speaker 2 (52:54):
I'm excited, Joe, I said, hey, captain, you do that.
It's so weird though, Saw. Where are you at man
Water home today?

Speaker 8 (53:04):
Buddy walking the dogs? Man at home?

Speaker 2 (53:07):
Whoa? I love your dogs. Man. You're actually your dogs
are involved in your fishing life. You take him on
your on your my shouldering. Yeah, you know you're fish
and they're sitting there like waiting for a piece of
bait to be thrown her way.

Speaker 8 (53:19):
I don't know what the fish they do. They always
wait for fish. Yeah, when I cleaned fish, they're they're
there for a couple of days. Yeah. I was actually
trying to flag Joe down yesterday in the highway. I
had a bag of tune with me for you, but
he wouldn't stop. He was just so add and going
up the road. I mean it was like sprinkling his
whe wipers. No picture this, it's drizzling. Joe's got his

(53:43):
wipers on high. He's texting, he's looking left, he's looking right,
He's all over the place. I'm beeping at him. I'm
going to reverse in front of him. I didn't even
notice me there.

Speaker 2 (53:52):
I didn't know Joe.

Speaker 3 (53:55):
I'm like, wait, why is this guy going backwards?

Speaker 2 (53:57):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (53:57):
Maybe he's got a stick shift. And I just then
my ady d brought me to the next thing, and.

Speaker 2 (54:01):
That is you buddy, right. I mean, actually, what he's doing, Sean,
is he stirs himself in his rear view mirror. Now
put it right in his head. Okay, just kind of
like looking at himself. The entire drives, you know. Come on, whatever,
come anyway, Sean, let's get on point. Man, house. Fisher
been this week? Are they biting?

Speaker 8 (54:20):
Fishing has been fishing and uh oh, let me rephrase
that fishing has been catching not fishing. Okay, it's been
it's been that good out there, man. I fished about
nine o'clock yesterday, fortuna kingfish Benita, I mean full box,
like wow, epic. Yeah, yeah, was that your boot yesterday.

(54:45):
I got family in town for the four July certain now,
so we're gonna be doing some some family adventures in
the boat and look, hopefully the bite holds in. But
I mean, right now, it's just it's epic. It's like
May fishing right now, yeah, which we all know.

Speaker 2 (55:01):
Probably you're probably free fishing for Joe's gigantic Grand Finale
coming up in August.

Speaker 8 (55:06):
I buy that was right, always always, and it's actually
becoming a pretty big thing. There's a little inner competition
within Joe's tournament where we have a Team Florida now
competing against Team Hawaii and Team Texas and a few
other teams. Sos thatc'ally gonna be a pretty good competition.
A lot of people coming.

Speaker 5 (55:27):
This is gonna I think this one's gonna be a
really big turnout, man, kind of like the last yeah,
but bigger.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
Well, I've got this amazing idea.

Speaker 3 (55:35):
No we don't want to hear it.

Speaker 2 (55:36):
Such vision marine has now acquired Gautical Vesures. Yeah, they're
now in charge. Right, Yeah, why can't we have a
Vision Marine Electric powered yack division? Sure? They sponsored them
all in Oh they oh they write to check.

Speaker 8 (55:49):
You mean, yeah, I get a better idea. One of
them they used my boat. One of they used my
boat similar to the kayak, but my and put an
electric motor on it for free, and then I'll go
represent it.

Speaker 2 (56:06):
Sean is almost as good as chilling.

Speaker 3 (56:09):
I like the way Sean.

Speaker 2 (56:10):
He's almost as good as a promoter as you are. He's
promotion's great.

Speaker 3 (56:15):
Man, he really is great. What do you think?

Speaker 2 (56:18):
I think he's as good as you tied? No, I
mean with his idea electric idea. So I have don
adventures put on a Vision Marine electric motor on his jack,
correct and charge him nothing?

Speaker 8 (56:29):
No boat boat, I went on my boat.

Speaker 2 (56:32):
Oh you want the electric motor on your boat? Now
the electric? Yeah, this gets better Sean second by second. Yeah,
I thought you want to put an electric motor on
your yack. But now you know, with a full blow vision.

Speaker 8 (56:45):
On the boat. Let's go circle here, get the whole
get my whole week sponsored up. You know, man, let's
do it.

Speaker 2 (56:50):
I'll do that, Sean real quick. I'll get right on
that Monday for all right.

Speaker 8 (56:55):
I like it.

Speaker 5 (56:57):
Hey, Sean, real quick. Any any kingfish. I haven't really
heard much on them.

Speaker 8 (57:01):
Yeah, the kingfish bit was wide open. I mean a
couple like Doug went out and got his limit before
nine o'clock as well. On kings. I stayed deep because
I was jigging, and but as soon as they got
in near two hundred feet, the kings just started hitting
the live bait like crazy. I got one nice king
and that was all I needed for dips. So I
came in after that. So yeah, I mean the bite.

Speaker 2 (57:23):
Are you smoking those, Sean, he's smoking us. You're cooking
those up.

Speaker 8 (57:26):
Man, smoke them up for for dip, Okay.

Speaker 2 (57:31):
I mean I told you guys in the past, and
a fan of kingfish, I put him on my grill,
by the way, and make sure I skin them, obviously,
But kingfish on the grill have come out for me,
white firm and non oily fishy flavored. I like kingfish.

Speaker 4 (57:44):
Man.

Speaker 8 (57:46):
You know, if you cut out that, if you cut
out the red line in the meat, kingfish is great.
It's not a bad fish at all.

Speaker 2 (57:51):
A lot of guys say, I'm gonna smoke him only,
but I liked either.

Speaker 8 (57:54):
Man.

Speaker 2 (57:54):
You know, I'm not not a fan. Not a fan, Joe. Yeah,
you got a very picky appetite.

Speaker 5 (57:59):
You know, Kingfish is it gave me what do you
call it?

Speaker 8 (58:04):
Whatever?

Speaker 3 (58:05):
No, the a long time ago. Uh yeah.

Speaker 5 (58:10):
When I first moved here, I ate like two kingfish
in a in a night.

Speaker 2 (58:16):
I thought on the grill, that's why you're bra bash
slow and you're definitely hard to respond.

Speaker 3 (58:22):
I never been more sick my life.

Speaker 2 (58:24):
It was. It was strying to hear that. Joe.

Speaker 5 (58:26):
Anyway, Kingfish me fight, not friends, all.

Speaker 2 (58:31):
Right, Sean, listen, man, I'll pass that Idea's the great
friends of division the marine when I see him by

Fucking Bird Green Marine, Go boldly, am I add y, Well,
there's not too shabby. Joe with the flies have been
nice to us. The mosquitoes have not beating gets up
like last weekend. You still got that little bracelet, gave
that that stradell will think I gave you somewhere, So

(01:03:59):
we're right, Okay, can we light your thing though? I
can definitely fire up in a second, Okay, bringing our
next capin. It's Benny's fishing Chartersay bar Nune, buddy boy, Benny, Benny, Benny,
Good morning on the corn. Yeah, what's up? Benny? Going
to your brother?

Speaker 46 (01:04:19):
Good morning, Good morning, how y'all doing this morning?

Speaker 2 (01:04:23):
The last weekend when he was live with fish on
the line, Joe's fishing.

Speaker 46 (01:04:27):
Last week was fired up. We had that big mahi
on the line when we were talking to you. I
think we gaffed it while we were on the phone
with you, yep, And we were thinking of y'all when
we were at the scales weighing it in and getting
our check and collecting our trophy.

Speaker 44 (01:04:39):
Oh one he collected money, Joe for that day. How
about it from that one fish that we were on
the phone with you, guys on wow, man, the luck
of the show there, Betty, we bring you some good carmevel,
you know.

Speaker 2 (01:04:51):
Yeah, the luck of the show, King Fish Please. I
pulled up the live stream part. Joe just said to Benny,
I said, this is definitely multitasking. I mean I had
Betty's whole rap on there, man, doing the whole thing
with us staying on points. You know, I can say
it for guys. Let's give you a report now, Hey,
get that line over there, Life Held Fish.

Speaker 5 (01:05:11):
I mean, what other shows fish or podcast radio does
something like this?

Speaker 8 (01:05:16):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:05:17):
How cool is that?

Speaker 5 (01:05:18):
Like someone getting like a big mahi live right on air.

Speaker 2 (01:05:22):
Without bomb either. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:05:24):
And he was very like, you know, pretty calm and
kept it under the rules regular Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:05:33):
All right, Betty. Soon we're yet today, man, what's going on, dude?

Speaker 46 (01:05:36):
Yeah, we're out here fishing the Pompano Beach Firefighter Tournament today, So,
you know, another Saturday, another tournament this time of the year.

Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
It's a KDW.

Speaker 46 (01:05:45):
We're looking for kingfish, dolphin and wahoo, and the kingfish
have been very productive this week, so we're pretty confident
in the kings.

Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
There's been a lot of them around.

Speaker 46 (01:05:54):
Hopefully we could get on a couple of bigger fish.
The tune has this still been solid. I mean, fishing
is just good all around. If you're running out offshore
looking for mahi, you'll probably find them, you know, it's
just a good.

Speaker 3 (01:06:06):
Time of the year, great time of the year.

Speaker 2 (01:06:07):
Awesome job. He's getting to like, well.

Speaker 5 (01:06:11):
It seems like to me like at the more north
you go, they're still around, because you had Jimbo saying
they were like non existent over there in Miami. You yeah, yeah,
so I think we came north today then, yeah, exactly.
So I think the more north you go, you got
you know, a little more.

Speaker 2 (01:06:30):
Options of just Papola considered north in your tournament. World
coming up qualifies it north.

Speaker 46 (01:06:35):
No, No, for us, north is going to be like
Lake Worth and farther.

Speaker 2 (01:06:39):
Okay, gotcha? Okay, So uh Jimba was talking about earlier
to show that mahi is still rough, pretty thick, not
really big fish. But you still see those schools run
like last weekend.

Speaker 46 (01:06:51):
Yeah, definitely a lot of schools last week. And we
kind of just got lucky when we caught that mahi.
We were in you know, less than two hundred feet
of water kingfishing, and we just got a tucky, you know,
fourteen pounder on the line and there's a lot of
small ones around, so a fourteen pounder, you know, I made.

Speaker 6 (01:07:05):
A couple bucks last week.

Speaker 46 (01:07:07):
I'd say the bigger fish are going to be in
shallow chasing bait on the edge of the reef.

Speaker 2 (01:07:11):
For the mahi.

Speaker 46 (01:07:12):
And if you want quantity of fish, definitely running around
off shore is going to be where it's at looking
for them.

Speaker 3 (01:07:17):
Schools cool. How about wahoo anything there?

Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (01:07:22):
Wahoo?

Speaker 46 (01:07:22):
No, we haven't seen too many. Did we get one
in the tournament last week? No, we got one the
week before in the tournament. But there's been a few
random ones here and there, caught by a few people.
Nothing crazy though, Okay, all right, yeah, next full moon
should be good.

Speaker 5 (01:07:38):
And Benny, I was also hearing that the bottom fish,
I know you're not really doing that that much, but
the bottom fishing, especially in Pompino, has been pretty good.

Speaker 46 (01:07:48):
Yeah, bottom fishing has been good. You know, since grouper
season opened. We've gotten a few keepers. But yeah, we
don't put too much time towards that. We focus more
on the pelagics with a lot of our customers. But yeah,
i'd say bottom fishing is definitely going to be good
right now, especially if you go sit on the reef
anchor up do some chum in you'll have yellow tails
all behind the boat. So it's definitely pretty consistent times.

Speaker 2 (01:08:08):
For that good stuff. You got, good report, Benny begging dude.
All right, so one of the last question is man

It's a bang. On Saturday morning, Doutical Ventures Weekly Fisherman
Show into year number nineteen. We have brought it up
again on the show this morning, oh nineteen years talking fishing,
smack and boating and kayaking and diving and whatever else.
My friend worms worms on hooks for peacock bass and
all kinds cool stuff. I saw his post bottle. This

(01:14:57):
man is always hooking up man. Vinny Sachs is always
are the fish true? I mean that green machine. He's
got the wybey normal he is. I think it's like
a fish magnet. I don't know, man, Venne guy's always
got fish on the dock. Vinnie, come on it to
your brother.

Speaker 22 (01:15:13):
Hey, good morning guys.

Speaker 2 (01:15:14):
How are you Vinnie Good?

Speaker 22 (01:15:17):
Just heading out here for a three quarter day. I'm
probably gonna go anchor up and do some yellow tail fishing.

Speaker 2 (01:15:23):
Nice. Well, I saw your doc photos this week. Man,
you had a variety of stuff. Man, talk about what
you caught this week. It was like loaded.

Speaker 8 (01:15:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 22 (01:15:31):
Early in the week I did some yellowtail fishing. I
caught like twenty five or thirty of them.

Speaker 7 (01:15:37):
It was really good.

Speaker 22 (01:15:38):
And then wow, I had an afternoon trip. I got
a really nice black fin, like twenty five pounds or so.
And nice yesterday. Yesterday I took out a bunch of
the guys from Shamano that develop all the slow pitched
chicking rods.

Speaker 2 (01:15:53):
Oh.

Speaker 22 (01:15:53):
So they had a good time. Straight from Japan they are,
and they came down and just wanted to test out
some of the new technology. So put them on fish.

Speaker 3 (01:16:02):
That's awesome, man.

Speaker 2 (01:16:03):
So like the Shamano rods are brand new models are
actually in development and actually for sale.

Speaker 22 (01:16:11):
I think some of them are for sale. But these
guys build all of the rods for Shamanos. Anything that
you see in a tackle shop, it's went to these
guys hands first before it went.

Speaker 8 (01:16:21):
I wow, sail there.

Speaker 2 (01:16:23):
Yeah, I've been a Shamando fan for a long time.
They do have my supply of pens as well, I
might add it. I hate to conflict with each other,
but you know, what the hell, there's a roof for everybody, right.

Speaker 3 (01:16:31):
Yeah, sure, but they also make bike gears and stuff
like that.

Speaker 6 (01:16:36):
You know that.

Speaker 2 (01:16:37):
Thank you, Joe.

Speaker 3 (01:16:38):
I'll just figure I throw that out.

Speaker 2 (01:16:39):
Because you're the entrepreneur. You should know that, of course.

Speaker 4 (01:16:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:16:43):
All right, So it sounds like you're on a chartered
day to day. What's your what's your target species out there? Man?
Why he as usual or what?

Speaker 22 (01:16:51):
We're gonna go anchor up on the reef by like
sixty seventy foot try to put the chum out. Brought
a couple of live baits in case some kingfish happened
to find, so try to look for the yellowtail snappers.
But we'll take whatever whatever works.

Speaker 2 (01:17:06):
You know, for this time of year, it's really smoking hot.
I mean, I just don't like I've lived in my
entire life out here in June, July, and August or
three of the worst months for me with the heat.
You guys finding that it's a rough day at there.
Around noon one o'clock when you're fishing and there's not
much whend blowing, it gets pretty rough out there for you.

Speaker 22 (01:17:24):
Yeah, one hundred percent. The heat of the day is
always tough fishing. That's usually when you're gonna maybe switch
over and do some bottom fishing. When the sunset the highest,
that water is super hot on the surface. Even if
you're trolling in the middle of the day, you tend
not to get a lot of bikes on the surface,
so a lot of your bikes come on the plans
and down riggers, anything that's under the surface.

Speaker 2 (01:17:46):
Oh yeah, Joe, you want to throw a questioners out there, buddy,
So my man, what's going on with the yellowtail mangrooves
all those fun fish catching them?

Speaker 6 (01:17:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:17:58):
I know, because I hear it's good and I hear
you're the man for yellowtail.

Speaker 22 (01:18:03):
Yeah, this time of year, if you get an early
start and you anchor up. You got to have the
right conditions. First off, you need that north tide. And
if you anchor up anywhere from like thirty to sixty foot,
you usually get the yellow tails in the daytime. But
like Eric said, if you don't want to go out
there in the middle of the day and fish, maybe
go at nighttime and do the same thing and the

(01:18:25):
mangroves should find you. They tend to bite later though,
around like ten o'clock. You never really do good on
them right when the sun's going down, But usually right
when you anchor you'll get some yellowtail, and then once
it gets late, the yellow tails will disappear and it's
all mangroves.

Speaker 2 (01:18:40):
Nice good tip, good great tip.

Speaker 3 (01:18:42):
Yeah, any other tip with yellowtail, I.

Speaker 22 (01:18:47):
Would just say, you know, the most important thing is
don't run out of chump. If you have the fish
behind the boat, the worst thing you can do is
run out of chump because they're gonna leave. So make
sure you got plenty of chump with you and at
a fresh block in every now and again.

Speaker 2 (01:19:02):
Awesome excellent tip, man, Yeah, tons of chump, Joey, Yeah,
yeah man. All right, Vinny, Well listen, my friend. I
know you're a bottom fishing specialist. I know grouper are
still a season. You ever targets at all? A couple
of groupers here and there.

Speaker 22 (01:19:16):
Yeah, it's the best group of fishings right when the
season opened, just like any kind of fish that's on
a season. But we did catch a nice red grouper
the other day, like about ten pounds. They're still around.
You're gonna do best. So if you anchor on any
like structure like over one hundred hundred and twenty, it's
going to be the best. But you want the live baits,

(01:19:37):
best live baits, pinfish, if you could get your hands
on them, they're always gonna eat those.

Speaker 2 (01:19:43):
Your fingers with those things fish.

Speaker 3 (01:19:45):
I got pricked by those things multiple times.

Speaker 2 (01:19:48):
Such a freaking water. Ohto has always been real quick,
real quick.

Speaker 5 (01:19:55):
Go ahead, Joe, Hey, Vinny, any tip with Kobe. Have
you ever ran into them while you were bottom fishing,
because it's happened to me a few times.

Speaker 22 (01:20:03):
It's super rare here. I think they come in real
close on the beach, but we never really catch a
lot of them here in the springtime. If you're fishing
the rec's hard trying to catch amber jacks. You might
get one or two just random. They're usually pretty big too,
like forty pounds to get one. But when you get
to bite, the key way to tell the koba that

(01:20:25):
line's going to go right to the surface. So if
you hook a fish on the bottom and then all
of a sudden, if your line go right to the top,
you know, get your big gas out. It's called koba.

Speaker 2 (01:20:35):
That's awesome. And definitely, when else Kobe come inside your
boat there with all your clients around the Viti, definitely
have your hammer or your bat ready because if you don't,
they're turning things up in that boat.

Speaker 8 (01:20:45):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:20:45):
They are nasty, they're strong, strong.

Speaker 22 (01:20:49):
Have everybody go inside for like ten minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:20:53):
Well, I dispatch this fish. You don't want to see
what I'm gonna do to this fish, but I gotta
put him out of his misery. But he's turning out
my boat.

Speaker 21 (01:20:59):
And as yeah, good paints, not that chief anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:21:05):
No, I'm in a boat, biz, trust me, brother man,
no doubt about that. On official contventing on your boat
tell our new Off audience members, we've cycled in Brandon
people every weekend to fish on your boat.

Speaker 22 (01:21:14):
Please yeah, give us a call directed nine five four
seven zero zero or look us up on Facebook, Instagram
at YV Normal Sports Fishing.

Speaker 2 (01:21:26):
Thanks so much, man, Thanks so much. Man. As always,
I shake.

Speaker 7 (01:21:31):
Yep, here's Johnny.

Speaker 2 (01:21:33):
Well Joe. The marriage clock is ticking down for this
next great captain. He gets married in November. If I
remember correctly, he's giving up his single stud life to
be a settled, happily married man for hopefully forever and
ever and ever. Now again, I had that same val
I took twice and failed miserably, but twice. But I'm

(01:21:54):
just the exception of the rule. Yeah, I mean, most
you guys are happily married. You're with Maria, and Johnny
will be happily married to his new bride, so you
know it goes.

Speaker 3 (01:22:05):
And he's got a great girl, man.

Speaker 2 (01:22:06):
I know her.

Speaker 3 (01:22:07):
She's helped us in the past with their events. Laura
is awesome.

Speaker 26 (01:22:10):
Yeah, great Laura.

Speaker 3 (01:22:11):
Okay, and uh and I owe her a little tortoise.

Speaker 2 (01:22:15):
Okay, fine, Yeah, let's fregget a great friend. Johnny's to Bill,
shall we today?

Speaker 47 (01:22:21):
Good morning, guys, how y'all doing.

Speaker 2 (01:22:24):
What a great fun connection match. You're right on the
set with us, man, where are you at.

Speaker 47 (01:22:29):
We're in the middle of the Everglade. That's probably why
I sound bad.

Speaker 2 (01:22:32):
No, you sound good.

Speaker 4 (01:22:34):
Great.

Speaker 2 (01:22:34):
Your photo is like begging in great Man. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:22:38):
Wow, I figured it'd be bad.

Speaker 47 (01:22:39):
I'm in the middle of Everglades National Park. We just
got started fishing this morning, you know, just fishing some
salt water for a change. But uh, don't let that
fool you. The the freshwater fishing has been pretty insane. Actually,
it's been getting better and better by the week.

Speaker 4 (01:23:00):
Every trip.

Speaker 47 (01:23:00):
This week, you know, double digit numbers of peacock bass
and you know, largemouth bass, just a good, good variety
of everything. And then a lot of snakeheads this week
as well. You know, it seems like every year this
time of the year, I get more and more people
that want to do the snakehead thing, which is good.
It's a fun, easy day for for me and and

(01:23:23):
it's a pretty grueling day for them. So it's it's
a it's a good mix for a good change up
for me.

Speaker 4 (01:23:28):
I should say.

Speaker 47 (01:23:29):
Yeah, throwing those frogs on heavy tackle is is It's
not easy. You know, you're you're throwing frogs on heavy
gear all day long. I mean, you're you're fatigued by
the end of the day.

Speaker 2 (01:23:40):
Sure, Hey, Johnny, let me have the expert at Peacock
Bass efficient tell you his new tip. Tricky good Joey.
He probably hasn't heard his story because.

Speaker 3 (01:23:48):
I'm definitely not an expert with peacock bass.

Speaker 2 (01:23:50):
Your new bit of choice is tell Johnny, which is
so genius?

Speaker 5 (01:23:54):
Is because I take Mia out and her friends. I
try to keep it easy, so I buy those monster
Canadian earthworms and.

Speaker 3 (01:24:04):
I'll tell you man.

Speaker 5 (01:24:05):
So the last two trips we went out, Mia got
her biggest snakehead, it was a monster, and then she
got her biggest peacock the other day, and both of
them were caught on an earthworm, like easy, simple, Yeah, man,
it's it's uh, it's pretty crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:24:25):
I just never thought, are you buying that, Johnny? Seriously,
I got on video.

Speaker 16 (01:24:29):
I mean, I definitely believe it.

Speaker 47 (01:24:32):
You know, it's I I've seen some snakeheads caught on
some weird stuff, and I've seen snake videos of snakeheads
eating like chicken wings and stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:24:40):
So we heard anything possible. Yeah, yeah, hey, real quick, Johnny.
Last weekend made you said we were going bone fishing
out there. I think you went out of Keystone Point right,
So anything ever happened with that day.

Speaker 47 (01:24:54):
Yeah, we we didn't find many bonefish. It actually was
really rough and uh, I like this fish on the
ocean side for bonefish, and we ended up just not
doing great. We did find a couple of nice, big
schools of tarpin right in Biscayne Bay, and we capitalize
on a couple of those. They're just you know, small

(01:25:14):
jube tarpin, but I mean, nonetheless, there's still a lot
of fun on light tackle. I actually prefer the smaller
tarpin because you just you know, you get the bite,
you get the jumps, you get them in, you get
them unhooked, and you send them.

Speaker 23 (01:25:27):
On their way.

Speaker 47 (01:25:27):
When when you're when you're dealing with you know, like
what I deal with in Miami at night, where you're
catching one hundred minimum, one hundred pounds minimum. You know,
you're fighting that fish for thirty minutes. You're absolutely exhausted
at the end of it. Ye, and in those fish,
to handle those fish is actually it's pretty dangerous. I mean,

(01:25:48):
they could shake their head one way and knock you out.
I mean, you know, you got to be really careful.
I used to let my clients actually touch and hold
the you know, like lip the tarp and the big
tarpin for pictures. Now, I just have them hold the
line and and I do the unhooking and everything, because
I just don't want the liability if that tarpam were
to you know, they had their their face by the

(01:26:10):
the head of the fish or something.

Speaker 3 (01:26:13):
You know, I don't want that liability, So right, smart.

Speaker 26 (01:26:18):
Anymore?

Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
Maybe a problem for you. I know, I fished with
my son's over book or grand we said was an
annual trip. We do go over there, and the tarpet
fishing over there is insanely great.

Speaker 45 (01:26:26):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:26:26):
Problem over there was the sharks know where you are.
And I can't tell about how many tarpa and gets
sharked in uh that area. Do you ever get problems
with sharks uh whacking these tarpai when they're coming to
the boat.

Speaker 47 (01:26:39):
It's it's a huge problem. It's it's a huge problem. Uh,
everywhere in South Florida and probably all of Florida. I'm
not really familiar with north or you know, the west
coast of Florida, like north of Tampa, but all in
South Florida, the shark problem is it's very real and

(01:27:00):
you know a lot of and I'm not bashing anybody,
so don't don't take it at so, but a lot
of captains, you know, they get their clients on, you know,
a couple of nice trophy tarp and the clients are
probably happy. The captain gets hungry. They're like, oh, we
could catch you know, we can catch more, we can
catch more, and then they end up getting sharked. And

(01:27:21):
it's like, if you guys just limited yourself to you know,
which sounds dumb. I know it sounds dumb. But if
you guys limited yourself to just a couple of trophy
fish and then left the fish alone, I mean I
think there would be a lot more tarping around than
there are. But also they they one other thing that
they need to do is they need to open up
shark fishing again. You know, lemon sharks are protected, a

(01:27:45):
lot of sharks are protected. And it's like, you know,
there are people in this country that would eat sharks.
I mean there, I've eaten a shark before.

Speaker 3 (01:27:53):
It was it was not bad.

Speaker 2 (01:27:58):
Eat fish man. Well, they should do something. But we've
been talking about this for weeks and years and years
about maybe contacting THEWC or maybe giving a rod the
santis could do something. I don't know, whatever, but the
sharks are out of control, and I think singing a
really nice tarp and get his whole side just chomped
out because the guy's fishing. God, tackle, it's too light,

(01:28:18):
the fish has been in the water. Wait too long,
get to the boat and bang. Mister shark knows he's
there and that this is done.

Speaker 5 (01:28:25):
I mean, if you remember, during the height of the
black fin tuna this year, everyone was saying that like
they would lose two to three of their tuna at
the boat from the shark.

Speaker 2 (01:28:35):
It's sane, Joe nuts. Anyway, Johnny, you ready for the
wedding bells? May you still at your plans in place
for the November day?

Speaker 47 (01:28:43):
I think you guys are over selling that a little bit,
but yeah, man, very excited. I'm very excited.

Speaker 2 (01:28:51):
You know, a nice day down in the Keys. Once
you have that marriage thing going on, there's nothing in
the next thing. Little Johnny's coming up. Yeah, man, making
a little shunning around man, you know, damn dude.

Speaker 3 (01:29:04):
You know be fun.

Speaker 47 (01:29:06):
I guess that's the process.

I'll tell you one thing. When she's gone off the show,
it's like a gigantic void hits my life, Joe, because
I need her into my life. Jen, He's a gin.

Speaker 3 (01:34:27):
Jean, do the word.

Speaker 2 (01:34:32):
Gin. I'm sorry. Jene's got to hear that.

Speaker 3 (01:34:36):
Man, Did you hear that?

Speaker 2 (01:34:37):
I was really really genuinely lovely intro you coming with
your rock monster.

Speaker 3 (01:34:43):
It's like nineties though.

Speaker 2 (01:34:44):
Right, whatever, dude, you tell your stone, dude.

Speaker 3 (01:34:46):
It's like a nineties rock gen video.

Speaker 26 (01:34:49):
Whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:34:52):
Hey, Jennifer gray Ward, sorry about that. Good morning to you,
my friend, Jen.

Speaker 43 (01:34:56):
That's spot on.

Speaker 22 (01:34:58):
I loved it.

Speaker 3 (01:34:59):
Oh oh yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:35:05):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (01:35:05):
All right, well Jen, right here in the heat of
the summer time here in South Florida, you're missing nothing,
I might add. It's a ridiculously horribly skanky hot every day. Rank.
I'm assuming some showers, I don't know. Give us the
whole news, will you please.

Speaker 43 (01:35:22):
Oh yeah, it's like Rimsider repeat in South Florida these days.
It's forty percent chance of showers today and thunderstorms, mostly sunny.
Otherwise high Up eighty seven southeast winds five to ten
season around two feet inter coastal waters, a light chop Tomorrow,
forty percent chance of showers and storms, partly sunny. Hire
eighty six southeast winds five to ten sees less than

(01:35:43):
two feet inner coastal waters, a light chop today, slight
chance of showers and storms, mostly sunny. Hi there eighty
nine east southeast winds ten to fifteen seas around two
feet there shore waters a light to moderate chop tomorrow
and the keys forty percent chance of showers and storms,
mostly sunny, eighty nine east winds ten to fifteen, sees
two to three feet. They're shore water is a light

(01:36:05):
chop handed Florida Bay today east southeast wind to not
Baywater's a light chop with isolated storms. Say tomorrow, east
winds ten Baywater's a light chop and scattered storm. So
it's chance of storms every day, little to no win,
no seas. And then I even looked ahead for Friday
since it's the fourth, and it's pretty much to say,

(01:36:25):
you gotta high in the upper eighties, forty to fifty percent,
chams of rain and like wins out of the look
like south southeast about five to ten. So yeah, same
story all weeks.

Speaker 2 (01:36:37):
All right, before you go, Jen, I know you've got
a box of start rid. Have you still been using
all those products to clean the kids and the cars
and everything else? What do you go? Did you s? Yeah?

Speaker 43 (01:36:47):
Bubble Yeah, it gets do the bubble bass and uh yeah,
you know you know what my honestly, my favorite part
of that whole package is, Yeah, the bucket is the
best bucket in the world.

Speaker 2 (01:37:00):
Oh yeah, the bucket is really what makes that thing man. Yeah,
the buckets great bucket.

Speaker 43 (01:37:04):
I used that bucket for everything and I love it
and I am so appreciative of all the products. They're
really awesome, really really we've watched the car with them
and they're great.

Speaker 2 (01:37:14):
Yeah. Standing well, so, uh, she's all star writing up
all she did not do that. We actually asked her
if he kind of was to set us a nice
Jen photo holding her box a star bright and they
kind of just slipped of the cracks. I think the
box got wet, box got wet, and we never got it.
Dog got it.

Speaker 43 (01:37:31):
Oh well, I'll send you a photo me and my bucket.

Speaker 2 (01:37:35):
All right, thanks so much, Jed, have a great weekend. Okay,
all right, got the keys music going on. I'm the
only problem is we don't have a captain. So here's
the deal, Skip Braydeen. Last week, George Clark's boat was
coming off of the second station, right right. Think about

(01:37:58):
this in your mind, how okay, Yeah, he took a misstep. Okay, Yeah,
went crashing down to the deck and broke about eight
ribs and his ako got all screwed up. He got
he got banged to bed. I've done that once. In
my life. Joe was actually going to a second tower
on a guy's boat wearing flip flops, which is a
totally idiot idea. And uh, I slipped off of that

(01:38:20):
thing and I would just whacked down hard on the deck,
just paid a dipstick, you know what I mean. So
Skip couldn't make it. So George Clark said to me
last night, call me. He gave me a special number
to give to boy and there has been no answer
on the phone. However I did.

Speaker 3 (01:38:40):
Are you surprised he could have issues? Are you surprised?

Speaker 2 (01:38:46):
No, he's probably very.

Speaker 3 (01:38:47):
Busy exactly the guy like his you know, on his
on the fish guys and all that.

Speaker 2 (01:38:52):
Time of his. But I did talk to him last
night about some keys fishing information.

Speaker 3 (01:38:58):
Tell us about it.

Speaker 2 (01:38:58):
There, I can actually report from what he told me
last night.

Speaker 3 (01:39:01):
Let's let's hear it.

Speaker 2 (01:39:02):
He said, the mahi are going through the keys thicker
than he's seen in years. What the keys. Mahi are everywhere,
huh okay, And they are the fish of choice in
the Fla Keys. So I don't know why you and
I just look at their cars or Toyota's vehicle of choice.

(01:39:22):
By the way, I'll show for that any time of
the day and just drive on down, get out a
boat in kee Lager, run a captain, run George whatever man,
and go out there and just crush the mahi. He said,
there like the old days where like schools around the boat,
just flocking around like big ones.

Speaker 3 (01:39:38):
Or you're talking like school, he.

Speaker 2 (01:39:39):
Said again, there's swingers, a couple of gaffers. But he
thinks that the smaller fish are better eating fish, and
he's not a big fan of catching those big fatties anymore.
What now me personally, I want.

Speaker 5 (01:39:53):
A big bull you of course, I mean that's that's
what you listen when you go out dolphin or you
picture the keys right fishing in the keys. In my head,
I always picture like getting a big awesome bowl dolphin
and a big fat mutton snapper and a beautiful lit

(01:40:15):
up wahoo.

Speaker 3 (01:40:16):
That's what I think when I think keys.

Speaker 2 (01:40:18):
You're talking about the trifecta, quad trick, quad quad fecta. Yeah,
getting every fish on your dream list.

Speaker 5 (01:40:25):
Which, by the way, are the three fish on our
Summer Slam Part two shirt.

Speaker 2 (01:40:30):
That I'm way to catch that world record. Mola, Mola
help me and Mola you troll very slowly because they
only go like maybe one inch an hour.

Speaker 50 (01:40:41):
All right, I'm out, I'll see you guys. That's it
shows over. I'm doing so much research on those blas.
Why you know they actually you just sit there at
night you look at mola mola, you know what're the
only fishing to see. Joether the most reproductive fish. They
actually the female lays eggs. She doesn't do like tens
of thousands. She literally spurred sat millions of eggs, had

(01:41:02):
a shot.

Speaker 3 (01:41:02):
Penny's looking at you like, dude, you need to stop.

Speaker 2 (01:41:05):
And theirs their chances of living are like less than
one percent. That's why they put that millions of eggs,
so hopefully maybe three or four might grow to be
you know, three thousand pounds. They get large.

Speaker 3 (01:41:17):
But wait a second, they shoot out the eggs, but
what what fertilizes them?

Speaker 2 (01:41:21):
Well? The other guy who another mola?

Speaker 3 (01:41:23):
So how do they mate?

Speaker 5 (01:41:24):
There's like a mola go behind the female watch and
then he catches the eggs.

Speaker 2 (01:41:31):
Well they go, Joe, they dived to two thousand feet. Okay,
so I mean, how many guys have got a video
camera they're gonna watch a mola mate?

Speaker 3 (01:41:38):
I mean listen. They had a video camera on the
moon when the what's his name made.

Speaker 2 (01:41:41):
His first steps?

Speaker 3 (01:41:43):
Yeah, like who was who was recording him?

Speaker 5 (01:41:46):
And then when the ship left the moon, they had
a guy there recording it.

Speaker 2 (01:41:50):
All I'm saying is I haven't seen the recorded video
of Mola's inaction. Okay, well they should. But they released
millions of eggs, so maybe two or three or four
can survive to be one thousand pounds. Okay, And that's just.

Speaker 3 (01:42:01):
They just like they just shoot them off in the ocean.

Speaker 2 (01:42:05):
It's just like something a science class.

Speaker 5 (01:42:08):
Well, I want to know it's a professor, Brandon. This
is like legitimate questions. Does she just spew him out?
Would you give me some show prep calls? Like Eric,
by the way, tomorrow I'll ask you like nineteen Mulling questions.
Just be prepared and go on chat cheap tea and
figure it out.

Speaker 2 (01:42:22):
Okay, there you go. Okay, see, okay, you got chat chept.
But I'm a big fan of that fish and the
slow moving You're dumb as hell. They have the smallest brain,
although they're also proven the smallest brain to be fish
in the ocean. All those poor things, I don't know
how the hell they survive?

Speaker 3 (01:42:36):
Yeah, I thin because everything is just they just feel
bad for him, like everything.

Speaker 2 (01:42:39):
But don't think I found out why sharks will eat
those things.

Speaker 3 (01:42:42):
I found this out because they swim by and they're like,
oh no, it's a moment.

Speaker 2 (01:42:46):
They say the meat is so funky tasting that even
sharks don't want to eat them, Like.

Speaker 8 (01:42:51):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (01:42:52):
What's the taste? You know, somebody tried eating them.

Speaker 2 (01:42:55):
I don't know, but he just said that the meat
is so foul that even sharks won't even bothered nailing them. Okay,
what the heck? Man? What do they eat? I don't know, Joe,
don't they You should know they eat jellyfish. Actually, yeah,
that's your favorite fish food though, they jellyfish. Okay. Yeah,
So anyway, how we got on mola from the keys

(01:43:16):
re fort, I have no idea it was you, but
I definitely strayed way off into the gulf stream. Okay,
I thought, you know, Well, anyway, you have a great
dat ford the were keys is basically mola. Lots of mola. Yeah,
le'll catch a bots of mola. I'm gonna catch a
bull mola.

Speaker 5 (01:43:34):
Lots of mola eggs and mola guys. So yeah, go
to the keys, catch yourself a mola.

Speaker 2 (01:43:39):
Mola and know why he right, just all mola, all mola.

rewant it. Start over bed. We'll take a little break
