Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're on board the Nautical Ventures Weekly Fisherman Show with
legendary fisherman Eric Brandon, an extreme angler Joe Hector, powered
by Mercury Marine, Go boldly.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Happy July fourth weekend, and welcome to the number one
fishing show on the planet, brought you by the number
one boat Jamership in America, America Nautical Ventures Marine Group America.
Happy July fifth on the July fourth weekend, Joe Hector,
My man, how you doing, brother, dude? Good? How are you? Man?
Tayl My neighbors kept me up late last night blowing

(00:37):
their stuff off, like three o'clock and I had like
an hour and a half to sleep. You over here,
me too, man, So our neighbor.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Just so people get an idea, he is a former
marine and he lives across the street.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Great guy, dude.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
He brought out like mortars, I don't know, nukes whatever,
and he started at like eleven thirty ye started, gotcha started?

Speaker 2 (01:00):
And all it sounds like World War three out there,
you know. And I don't mind. Hey, happy birthday? When
that holiday follows falls on a Friday night before the show,
I just knew that to be trouble. Golly gee, Anyway,
it's a been some chat this week about fish being caught.
I've heard mahi aguinner still yeah, mahi swarming around man yep,

(01:21):
which is great. Yeah, it's good. I mean I haven't
heard anything big, but probamise you and I have a
caughtity of them. What's that mahi? What is that? Catching one?
Mahy mahe never got one. You have to have a boat,
get one, you know what I'm saying. Right, So, Jimbo
is now in the Everglades playing awall again. So guests
on our line this morning, coming back from the nostalgic
visit this morning, tell me, tell me the legend Captain

(01:44):
Boucher Smith is back in Georgia. Yeah, how is he doing.
We're gonna fly out shortly. He's going to be our
first caller. He's our first guy. That's great, first guy
to shoot man like back in the day. Yeah, let's
bring him on shell. Let's do it, Okay, do it.
The man has got the Boucher Smith Chronicles Edition one

(02:05):
through forty five. Now, oh, he's expanded his library.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Well, you know, writing books now also is with chat
chept and stuff. It makes it easier so you can
bang them out more.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
That chat chept is taking over the world. I basically
live off that app man. Yeah, I love it. It's amazing. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway,
just say hi to Captain Boucher Smith, our great friend.
Good morning to you. Capt Boucher, hey cat, Good.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Morning gentlemen, and help you out a great fourth of July.
I know our next door neighbors were I think they
were firing off giant cannons next door or something. It's
pretty loud.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Yeah. I bought a bunch of illegal fireworks my guy Joey,
and I'm guilty of lighting off those big bang bangs
as well, but I stopped it, like you know, ten
o'clock whatever. You didn't like bomb your lake this year? Now,
I told my son Sean not to throw these damn
quarter sticks of dynamite into the lake, and of course
he did. I'll go to see a peacock bastard of
the year. The paba's done.

Speaker 5 (03:02):
Man.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Anyways, capt back to you, my friend. We haven't talked
to you quite some time. How's your fishing adventures? Bed
Where what you're doing?

Speaker 4 (03:09):
I guess well, I'm looking forward to one of my
biggest events of the year coming up. Not this week,
but the following week we're gonna be uh, we're gonna
be heading down there for i Cast, which is an
annual convention, uh showing off all the newest products to
the tackle shops and people like that.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
So it's great.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Yeah, a lot of guides go there and riders and
just it's a great like old home week going to
the ic CAST and getting to see all the newest
toys on the water, which is really exciting for a
tackle maniac like myself. But I'm looking forward to a

(03:50):
couple of days of bass fishing and a couple of
days on the West coast of Florida and a couple
of days on East coast afterwards. So looking forward to
a little fishing and a little exploring what's new on
the water. So it should be a lot of fun.
But I've been really envious of a couple of the
guys down in South Florida. One of my buddies went
swordfishing a couple of days ago, and they had no

(04:13):
luck with the swordfish, but boy, they saw one figure
bird on the way out. They went over to the bird,
put a couple of baits out, and ended up with
about eighteen dolphin that they didn't have to measure a
single one. They were all definitely heavy lifters. They're really
nice to catch a dolphin, so that was great. Aby's

(04:34):
still catching some sailfish and a few blackers. I haven't
seen the impressive catches of black contuonas that we usually have.
I don't see, you know, usually you'll see a guy
periodically with a deck on the behind his boat almost
completely covered with twenty and twenty five pounders. But this

(04:57):
year it doesn't seem like there's that many of the
big ones. A lot smaller ones, agree, not so many
big ones. I don't know if you guys have seen
any different.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
May I interrupt for a second. I'll sell you that
that three weeks ago I was Dean Panos was double
D charters right if you missed it on Facebook, by
the way, which I posted like nine times already. Oh
the one when you were holding your son's fish. No,
we were all holding each other's fish. Okay, Boucher. These
fish were weighed by Dean Panos. They were twenty eight
to thirty pounders. We got into some fun. These were,

(05:26):
I mean literally slamming blackfin tuna in my tournament.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Captain bouncer for part one for our summer slam on
our meat tournament. We usually like have big blackfan across
the board, and for whatever reason, this year was the
first time in five years that we didn't have like
a whole bunch of jumbo black fan.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Because I caught them all. Somebody's fault, Derek's fault. But
you know what blackfans and blackfan you catch a football
sized one or a monster when they're all eat fun
to catch, Yeah, you want a big one, come on, yeah,
of course we all do. But anyway, uh, Baser, you've
heard about the mahi. We've had mahi running after like

(06:08):
the last couple of weekends and once you three four
five shows prior every week and talk about mahi mahi.
He just talked about it. I know I'm saying, but
they they're school to get more like the old days,
not just like Red Joe. If you listen, our caft
is not like the old days. Some more caps have
actually got schools round a boat, which is kind of encouraging.
It's yeah, that is right.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
Yeah, it seems like from everything I've heard, it's a
pretty good year for the Mahi mahi. Uh, Like I
would saying my buddy the other day he found them
under a frigate bird. But you know, it's still the
same game. You go out and you look for anything.
The harder it is, the more productive it is. In
other words, if if it's a weed line, it's okay.

(06:51):
But if you find a bucket or a piece of
wood or a lobster trap float with some barnacles on it,
you up the game. For whatever reason, those types of
things hold the dolphin or mahi mayi fish better than
the grass itself, although the grass starts the program and

(07:13):
you find a nice matt and you'll frequently find some
nice dolphin there. But still that hard stuff in the
in the weed line really makes a difference. But it's
good to see some mahi mahi out there. It's you know,
they're still catching sailfish, which is really great. It's not
it's not a dozen per trip, but there's plenty of

(07:35):
trips where they catch a couple of sailfish. Still live
baiting on the edges the most. But now I'm starting
to see some selfish being caught trolling, which is nice
to see. And I was talking to a buddy yesterday
and he was going Waho fishing today. And he said,
there's still a couple of wahu around that's nice to see.

(07:56):
So there's a good variety of or for fish on
the scene and it makes for a lot more fun
out there.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Well, yeah, captain, have you what do you think about
so far the wahoo this year, because I think it's
also been.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Negative, But.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
In the summertime I usually see like some of the
really big ones.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
I just haven't said it.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
You have been in my opinion over the years. While
season really gets rolling in August and it's just early July,
and you know, you know, you think about the summer
and you don't pay attention to what month of the
summer it was.

Speaker 6 (08:40):
You just know it was hotter than all and.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Get out right, and it could be any months. But
I kept close tracks of what we were doing when
I was fishing every day, and wahoo seasons really gets
rolling in August and then it stays good all the
way through till the end of the year. So I
think the best is yet to come. But I know RJ.
Boyle called wahu a couple of days ago. My buddy

(09:05):
was going wild fishing yesterday, so something's got him inspired
to do some wahou fishing, and right, who knows, when
I get down there, they'll be rolling in like crazy
and I'll get a chance to catch it.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Yeah, Benita, baby, Benito.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Whenever I see those beanita schools, that's drop one down.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Great half them all. Joe, there are yours, buddy, enjoy them.

Speaker 7 (09:26):
Okay, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
We're talking about talking about banitas for bait. We're not
talking about banitas to eat.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
You know you got Eric, you cooked it for two
years ago, Joe, I remember, yeah, yeah, right, all right, keV.
So I cast first. Then you're making their way down
to South Florida to fish with some local buddies here.
I'm sure you hook up with Aby Raymond. You're number
one guy, and he's always tearing him up. I see
his Facebook post. He's always catching fish for everybody. So

(09:54):
looking forward to seeing it back down here, man, you
know whatever, it should be great.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
I look forward to be in there pretty soon. But
one other thing you mentioned, Avy, I want to mention
how good the summer snook fishing has been. I want
to remind everybody those summer snook are here to spawn.
That's why they're congregated, and that's why there's good action
on them, and you want to be very gentle with them.

Speaker 6 (10:17):
You want to fight them.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
Up to the boat, reach over the side, and you
hook them right next to the boat. You know, maybe
pick them one and have everybody take pictures with it,
and then get them back in the water quick and
then leave the rest of them in the water. Just
fight them up to the boat and hook him and
let them go. Interesting thing the scientists taught me was
how much the air temperature in the summertime affects the

(10:42):
fish coming out of the water. That sudden temperature change
is very shocking on their body. And I never even
thought about that until the scientists told me. So try
to keep them in the water. That goes for all
your fish. You know, it's a crazy thing, but I
kill still see guys hold it up sailfish in the
boat for pictures. And it's scientifically been proven with satellite

(11:06):
tags at the mortality rate on those fishes that are
picked up for a pitcher can be as high as
sixty percent just from the effects of had their slime
wiped off, held up in the air, lifted up by
the nose. It's really hard on that fish. So keep
them in the water. Next to the boat, get a
nice picture, and send them on their way.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
I'll take one time. I had a really bad battle
over this gigantic mola and I tried to lift them
over the guttles. Look, I could lift a thousand pounds
that you're so woppers gigantic. Yes, I was.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
Gonna say the heck of a guy to pick up
a mola mola for a picture.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Yeah, that was a big job. I'm just a big
fan of that fish cab anyway, Has anyone ever landed
one like I have always seen them? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (11:55):
Whatever that you know, there's always somebody gonna kill them.
There was a target boat out of Wiscane Bay of
the north center of the Bay that killed a couple
of them, and there's historic pictures of them having been killed.
And like Eric said, they're frequently close to one thousand pounds.

(12:15):
They don't look that heavy, but they are solid. They
are like you're banging on one, you'll injure your knuckles
they're so hard.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
So yeah, they're quite the fish. But cat listen, come
on out here and see us with Michigan in South
Florida for sure, and look forward to shaking your hand
of the legend of the man with the Bouchersmith Chronicles,
got those great series of books going on. So yeah,
thanks CAF jumping into the first shoot this morning. We
appreciate you man big time. Thanks Captain.

K word?

Speaker 9 (13:02):
The man spoke like three or four times and then
Facebook doesn't like that.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
No, we don't like that word. But Gray Man spoke hello.
He's back in the fold bit all right. So anyway,
I'm still not talking to you guys. We'll take a

Speaker 2 (16:46):
It is a bright early Saturday morning following the July
fourth explosions you all had. Yeah, I'm sure there was
many a party. I was coming to work this morning, Joe, Yeah,
and there much have been nine billion cars. I'm thinking
a roll up be coming back to my party. Oh yeah,
the cops too. I think it could be like d
uy City right full die over Man hammer Man.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
On my way here, I saw three different cops and
three locations like hidden you know, in the little little crevices.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
They're making a quota here on July fifth. Oh yeah,
trust me.

Speaker 8 (17:16):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
So he's the record snake like snake head holder for
eight nine times already. By the way, if I get
that out of my face, it was like a cowboy thing.
Remember I didn't much sleep last night. Man, we got
a great friend, coryner Rakowski online number one with that
unique that great laugh. By the way, I know it's

(17:37):
the best. That's Corey. How you doing, brother? Happy July fifth? Man?
He haw, Corey? How's it going?

Speaker 26 (17:43):
Everything's good, guys. How are you doing?

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Thank you? On your way to some fishing grounds? What
sounds like to me?

Speaker 3 (17:50):
I don't know where are you going, Corey?

Speaker 26 (17:54):
Going out to the ever Blades. So we're on the
way out there.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Now, okay, outstanding where in the Everglance?

Speaker 26 (18:04):
Just south we're uh I mean it's a large area
watering avoir.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Okay, yeah, So asking worries to be the different place. There
must be five hundred million different places of fish of
the Everglades? Which one should he point out?

Speaker 3 (18:18):
You know, there's a guy right now, but like in
his going in his phone, looking in his coordinates, saying,
oh my gosh, Cory's going there.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Okay, well, good luck fighting him amongst all the waterways.
Will try. Trust Cory knows it. Cory, I have had it.

Speaker 26 (18:36):
I had a guy a long time ago try to
put a tracker ond my truck.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Are you serious?

Speaker 26 (18:43):
Oh yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
Did you like he's like one of those electronic devices
that sweep shirt vehicle for uh like that GPS things
hanging on it forever?

Speaker 27 (18:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 26 (18:55):
I never did, just because I never ran into the guy.
But I know the guy was if you ever see
me or came across path, he was going to try
to do that. I had a number of people tell
me that, so that was pretty funny.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
All you got to do, man, Yeah, all you're gonna
do is get those little Apple air things, you know,
and you slip them in somewhere or whatever.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
You see my line All the time they saw these
little quarter sized train I.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
Have one, only I swear to God, I put them
in her shoe so once she puts her shoes on,
I know where she's going.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Wow. Yeah, okay, cool. Well, besides all the spionage, Tory,
what's been happening in your week? This week, man, what's
what's biting?

Speaker 26 (19:34):
Bro Uh, It's it's been good. I mean with the
rain that we've had the past few days, that snake
Head Bay has just been it's been on fire, so
that that's been great. We've been getting fish up twelve pounds,
number of double digits some of the days. I had

(19:55):
a guy the one day he got his biggest up
to nine pounds five and a half pound, large mouth.
He could have had a hole. He could have had
over thirty fish in the boat if he would have
hooked most of them, but he got a pretty good
amount of him in the boat. But yeah, they bite.
Bit's been on spat on fire. Yesterday it was biggs
as twelve pounds for me, So that's that's. It's definitely

(20:19):
been on with all this weather we've been having, so
we get out there for them. That's right now has
been the time. Hopefully the rain sticks around, but it's
been very good. Also got a big, big snoke last
week too, So there we go.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
So you're glad to raise back, you said the Glazer
get a little bit lower than You're happy that all
the waterways are filling back up again.

Speaker 26 (20:41):
Well, yeah, I mean, well the water. It's just put
the weather around. We still need the water to come up.
It's still low. Everything's really low right now. It's really
strange for it being this low for this time of year. Everything.
I mean, there's there's places where there's barely any water,
like place out in Pearls Brings some canals out there.
There's just barely any water out there right now. It's

(21:03):
almost dry. But we definitely need a lot of rain
still for that for the water levels. But with the
weather around that just get some going just baar men,
pressure drops and the fish to start feeding. So yeah,
it's it's a good time.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
So a large mouth bass Joe our favorites. U. Yeah,
that we catch any monster piece, No, not really.

Speaker 26 (21:32):
We got I got some there were they were on
the small side, the ones that I ran into and
the ones I have have caught and I have seen.
I haven't really running anything huge. Okay, the large mouth bites,
that's been good, Like I said, he got that five
and a half the other day and getting some other
good fish as well, so that's been picking up as well.

(21:54):
Hopefully we'll kind of see today out here in the
air how fast bite is. See how that has been
out here in a little bit so cool. Yeah, but
it's it's been good. Bite's been it's been good. Especially
snake has a snook I got. I had a couple
other ones on last seak, but I got that one
big one that was that was a nice.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
Fish that a slot fish or overslought.

Speaker 26 (22:20):
It was thirty six Yeah, I got a thirty six
inches that was on a frog of all things.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
So wait a man, these guys are catching fish on lures.
I would never have thought, Joe that on a frog. Well, Corey,
these are freshwater snook, right, Wow.

Speaker 26 (22:42):
Yeah, I was just I was just gonna say, if
I don't that very highly, and I've never had in saltwater,
you're gonna go out and go catch them on a frog.
But you in the freshwater canal, they eat way different
things because they just adapt to what they you know,
they come across and what you know, they eat just
about anything. So whatever they're gonna eat fresh water, they
they'll eat whatever. Yeah, but I've caught a lot of

(23:04):
them on frogs.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
They will hit them. They I've caught freshwater snook back
when I lived on this one canal of Miami Lakes,
and I know I want to fish. I pulled up
to the dock, I was unhooking them. That their body, Uh,
it feels different. The meat feels different different, it feels smooshy,
and they're and they're darker, darker, so weird comb I

(23:26):
guess maybe just the water fatter and they're fatter and
mushy or something. I don't know, man, whatever.

Speaker 26 (23:31):
Yeah, I mean I've eaten one in the past. I'm
out of fresh water. It was really uh it was good. Yeah,
it is different than the saltwater snook, that's for sure.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
Oh yeah, I mean, Corey, I catch a lot of
them on the beach right and they're so they're so like.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Clean, colorful versions amazing. Yeah, they're light, they're longer, and
they're firm. They're firm, they're.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Longer, where like if you catch one in the canal,
they're like more fat and they grow they grow more
like up then they.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
Grow right long. Yeah. So I don't know if.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
There are different subspecies. To be honest with you, I
wouldn't be surprised, but who knows.

Speaker 26 (24:14):
Yeah, because I've caught the I've caught the common snook,
and I've caught the common but the sword spines too,
have caught those in the past, and like Everglades canals,
I've caught those. And then there's I think, I don't
think I've gotten any other ones. I know it's a
tarp and snoke, but I haven't I don't think I've
ever gotten one of those.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
Tarp and snoke. All right, what's the sword spine? What
is that it's got?

Speaker 26 (24:40):
It's a little it's like a smaller version of the
common snook and they're more like a little shorter, like
a fatter version. I got one years ago out in
the Everglades that was like twelve pounds. It was only
it was only for like twelve and a half. It
was like like a half for like a quarter a
pound off the world record for that species.

Speaker 28 (25:03):
Pretty while.

Speaker 3 (25:05):
So there's technically what what three different subspecies?

Speaker 26 (25:09):
Yeah, yeah, common swine and harp.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
Yeah. You're not on a scientific roll today, man, like this.
You wake up today just thinking you want to be
mister sciences. Yeah, Well, it's interesting subspecies or sub subspecies
rock side mutations there, Joe Gosh, I think it's cool.

Speaker 8 (25:28):
Man.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
You know shows Did you know that it shows you
do have some intelligence? Did you know that I did
know that or did you think they were all the same.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
I love this. You know this is great. You'd like
to hear this from Wayne all day love this show.
Happy for you man, Thank you. Okay, so we wait,
let's get right to the meat potatoes. Man, What even
catching this week, buddy boy?

Speaker 32 (32:42):
Alright, well you catching mostly? Yeah, it's fine even in
the daytime. We're we're sticking a little closer to the
reef right now. But the all tails I've been biting
in the afternoons right out in front of Miami. I'll
take what's going on is if water gets really warm,
because it's it's summer's here, and I mean to two
things will tell you that. First off, the storms and
the rains were starting to get some that fresh water

(33:03):
flow out, and that changes the way these fish act
a lot, you know, as well as just the water
warming up. The king mackerel that we were catching up
on the edge of reef eighty ninety hundred feet those
fish can be laying. This is crazy. They can lay
on the bottom right off Miami out there one eighty
two hundred and twenty. They lay out there in the sand,
real close to the bottom, and a lot of people
don't even know that they're still out there fishing live

(33:25):
base on the surface and wonder what's going on. But
especially later on in the mid morning, those fish will
be close to the bottom and they don't always like
live base. They they become lethargic there. They're just a
different breed of animal, and in the in the summertime
than they are at the other times of the year.
Has a lot to do with the water temp, I think.
So we try to follow those trends. You know, I've
been doing this stuff a long time, and there are

(33:46):
trends that I've noticed. Fish don't always pay attention the
way you remember them. But every every little thing you can,
you can have to give your customers an advantage. You know.
To me, you only got so much time out there too.
You know, we are on clock. We got to leave
it a certain time. We got to come back reasonably.
I don't I don't mind staying late if I can,
but you know, it makes it tough when you got

(34:08):
to you know, when you sometimes like we I tried
to do daybreak trips, which I still do on weekends sometimes,
you know, to try to take care of that get
that early morning bite possibly, you know, but as it
stands right now.

Speaker 18 (34:19):
You know.

Speaker 32 (34:19):
We leave at nine, we get back about one one fifteen,
we leave again about coast to two. We get back
coast to six. I guess like that we try to
fill in the gap there, you know, to make it
comfortable for the fishermen. Yeah, we're getting yellow tails, some kingfish,
a few banitas, you know the benitas that we you know,
we used to catch by the hundreds. You know. I
guess it's like amberjacks, right, Eric, you remember those?

Speaker 2 (34:39):
Huh you can't get away from it? Favorite, thanks, lovely
get away.

Speaker 32 (34:46):
So I think if I gave advice, any any advice
for fishermen won a party boat fish with us, if
you want to try vertical jig and slow pitch jig
and stuff like that. We are experts at it. We're
the only boat. I'm going to say, probably, I don't
even how far you got to go to find find
crew that understands that game. And it's upcoming and it's
cool and it's new. Come down. We'll teach you how

(35:07):
and we show you all the little nuances of how
to do it. H Residents pay fifty bucks. That's it,
you know. You get on the boat and move and
we'll show you what to do. Night fishing is historically
this is the best time of the year to night
fish off Miami where the mangrove snappers are spawning. Wow,
and they bite until they quit. And that's the way.
The mangroves are so smart. I don't think you could

(35:28):
ever hurt them. Roden real fishing, you know, because they're
just gonna bite until they quit. Bite, sure, and then
they start up again the next night. So uh, limits
five per person. We watch the limits, we count how
many we catch on the boat, and neither we go home.
When we reach the limitary we say, guys, we'll go
try something else. What do you what would you like
to do? And we had a couple of nights like
that this past week, so customers to ask, grew it.

(35:48):
Let's just go home early.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
How cool is that? Alcohol man? Yeah, why not, let's
go home. I got buying.

Speaker 3 (35:55):
Let's go you know, waite, are you getting like really
big ones?

Speaker 2 (35:59):
Are really big mangre.

Speaker 32 (36:01):
Early earlier, usually early in the summer, we catch, you know,
those four to six pounders, you know, but there's always
summer around a lot of guys have lost that thought
of how to fish for them. Though they're mangro snappers
are incredibly smart, probably the smartest fish in the ocean.
I would I would venture to say, but you're gonna,
you're gonna, you're gonna, you're gonna. Well, I, well, there's

(36:22):
a lot of things I could give you to point
that out. But you could years ago. I mean, you'd
see four to six eight pound mangro someone around the
cutting tables down in the keys, and you couldn't. You
have to go down to six pound tests and a
goal hook to get a bite, and then you'd break
one off and then they would never touch it again.
But if I if I tell my crew that, you know,
way back in the seventies that we would catch, you know,

(36:45):
four to twelve pound mangro snappers every night, free line
and goggle eyze got sixty eighty feet of water, no weight.
You throw a live goggley out there late in the evening,
eleven eleven thirty at night, and like, if you bear
a snapper, there's no there. They're just cousins. Yeah, they're
just cousins, man. They're ferocious feeders. And a ten twelve
pound mangrove snapper which smack a free line goggle eye,

(37:08):
just like it's just like a thirty pound king.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
She'll just give me. Give you the look Wayne, given
the look of like we should go on Wayne's boat
kind of look you gave. Yeah, I know where what
do I know?

Speaker 32 (37:23):
I know? I know a little bit about giant permit
and how they can humble people. You need to tell
that story sometimes, Broy, We're gonna we got a rock
and roll reward fishing fleet on Facebook. Hit us up.
Let's take your fishing man.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
You're the man. Thanks so much, Wayne, Thank you, see
you guys outstanding catching big vermillion. Joey. Wow, how about that? Yeah,
he says. The night trips are really banging with the
yellow tail too, So beat the heat man, think about that.
You've gotten the heat the longer night. I just I
love the whole goggle.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
You're freelining dogs out there and you're catching mangrove. I mean,
those things have gotta be man.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
Just sucked down a gog. It's gotta be a big
fish man.

Speaker 23 (38:09):
Well, let's go.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
Over to the sea here, Joey, shall we? It will
slow up now you're picking it up. You have a
defital science show. I mean you should have patting that bloop.
It's just so dug gone unique, you know, doggy pedal. Yeah,

(38:31):
where's the set of the spirgut where out of the
spargun goes on a brain hole? Perfect man, Steve. I
just put that reaver bolume and you so great, perfect
spirit gun guy, Jim chief E, Matthew, Happy July fourth weekend, buddy, Yeah.

Speaker 33 (38:47):
I'm looking forward to a beautiful weekend. Listen, we're into
summer weather pattern. Boys. It really is nice. Uh, flat
on the top, uh.

Speaker 23 (38:57):
Pretty decent visibility so far.

Speaker 33 (38:59):
I know the rain's been here back and forth, and
that rain's gonna end up out there in the ocean,
so that's kind of a bad thing in the summertime.
But so far, the visibility has been pretty decent. The
currents have been minimal. Sometimes to the north, sometimes to
the south. It's a crap shoot out here off of Broward,
you know, Fort Lauderdale, And you know, I'd like to

(39:23):
say we're kind of hanging out at the third reef
most of the time, which is good. The third reef
is fifty at the top, sixty five at the bottom,
and then there's a backside to it where we get
down to seventy five eighty five or so and almost
one hundred and good. We've been playing pretty well. The
snappers has been around, Muttons. Muttons, snappers have been around.

(39:49):
They kind of love being off the reef, just a
little bit in the sand.

Speaker 23 (39:53):
They never give you a really good shot.

Speaker 33 (39:56):
But lately this snapper have been kind of hanging and
they're curious.

Speaker 23 (40:03):
They're very curious.

Speaker 33 (40:04):
Oh and I think, yeah, they're going, Okay, what's what's
over there?

Speaker 2 (40:12):
That's what a curious fish means. He's dead. He's done dead.

Speaker 23 (40:17):
A dead fish.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
He's got a brain hole like you wouldn't believe. Buddish
reorse about that.

Speaker 8 (40:25):
You know.

Speaker 23 (40:25):
And there's still a few black grouper around.

Speaker 33 (40:28):
My good buddy, uh see, uh he he has seafish
out of uh Boca and uh that's Captain Bratt with Helen.
They got a couple of nice thirty inch black groupers.
So it they're there, you just got to find.

Speaker 23 (40:44):
Them, you know. Uh. Luckily we've done a good.

Speaker 33 (40:48):
Job of cleaning them out, and there have been a
lot around, but they did it.

Speaker 4 (40:53):
They had a good week this week.

Speaker 33 (40:55):
And uh, yeah, they've been doing pretty well. I think
the keys are still pretty uh pretty good for heading
down there for doing some you know, hardcore spear fishing.

Speaker 4 (41:05):
But it's been good.

Speaker 23 (41:07):
It's been good here, it's been solid.

Speaker 33 (41:09):
The conditions are imperfect, and we all know what July is, Eric,
we all know what July is.

Speaker 2 (41:14):
Come on, yeah, July means mini season, baby.

Speaker 33 (41:19):
Mini season, all right, and again last consecutive Wednesday and
Thursday of the month, which this year falls on July
thirtieth and thirty first, which is really odd. It's very late,
but that's and it's stricer for the recreational guys.

Speaker 15 (41:36):
That's what people have to understand.

Speaker 32 (41:38):
Mini season.

Speaker 23 (41:39):
It's for us. August sixth starts regular season.

Speaker 33 (41:42):
Then the traps can go into the water, and the
commercial guys can get into water, but we we recreational guys,
can get our double limit up here in off of
Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach, So there's an advantage of
hanging here, which is what we normally do. But by now,
you got to have your plan, buddy. You gotta have
your crew, you gotta have your boat. You got to

(42:05):
figure out who's doing what where how when I mean
your gears should already be checked out, you know, don't
wait till the last minute, all that stuff.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
I got a point to make, Joe and I haven't
talked about this with quite some time. Jim. There's all
the folks who are brand new to our program, right,
they're only like, it sounds great that gym's diving. So
let's say they want to break into the sport of diving, okay,
scuba diving. What's the process nowadays? I went back to
I was I got sort of a tarpoon dive center
back in high Yeah. Yeah, forty years ago with the

(42:37):
Michelle work and yeah, your crew probably, Yeah, So do
they still go after go to the classes, the water
thing and the whole deal.

Speaker 33 (42:46):
Right, Well, the majority of it now is online, so
it's all computer now.

Speaker 2 (42:53):
You buy the line, really what I can do it? Then?

Speaker 34 (42:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 33 (42:58):
Yeah, you go online at your lead and basically, you know,
go through it, take your little test. But then the
skills that hasn't changed. You still need to be in
a pool, go through all your skills, and then they
take you out for two ocean dives. And you gotta
remember recreational the max is sixty six feet, so they'll

(43:20):
usually do a shallow dive first and then the next
day or next week or whenever.

Speaker 23 (43:25):
They'll put them out there.

Speaker 33 (43:27):
In the sixty foot so you know, right now it's
summer camp time, so all the kids are you know,
they'll put four or five six kids together in a
summer camp per whole week, and it's great. They learn
all about diving, but it's it's all online, and you
know people are used.

Speaker 23 (43:44):
To that, so it's easy that way.

Speaker 33 (43:46):
But the skills are still the skills you need to
be able to physically, you know, clear your mask. Hey,
this is what happens. They've added a few things, Eric.
You know, now we don't have there's no such thing
as cards anymore where you figure out out your depth
and all that other stuff.

Speaker 2 (44:02):
It's all computer. There's a written, written test. Back with
my day had the pass for you to get certified.
Really there's a written test. Yeah. Correct. By the way,
so in the twenties it was like, it's really twenty Joe,
Yeah really? What look at me? Man? I don't look
like from the nineteen twenties. I mean, really, are you
that blind? Nineteen? Come on, man, I gotta I gotta

(44:25):
face it belongs in a space. Okay.

Speaker 4 (44:27):
But that.

Speaker 33 (44:29):
Being said me season is it's for the guys that
know what they're doing, meaning meaning listen, buddy, you got
to figure out what you're doing, where you're going, how
are you doing it, and all that other good stuff.

Speaker 2 (44:42):
All your gear safety and.

Speaker 33 (44:44):
That's safety safety safety. You know, if you're new to
catching lobster. August uh you know, uh, that starts the
regular season and just get on it. You know, that's
that's when you want to play and all.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
That good stuff.

Speaker 23 (44:58):
Yeah, but it's been great. We've been really really great.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
Your last carbon monoxide we're pretty much real quick, real quick.
What Jim, what about hogfish?

Speaker 33 (45:10):
Yeah, he's they're there, they're there, but you know, man,
I'm gonna tell you they're so fifteen and a half
inch hogfish. We're seeing a lot of those. You're not
seeing what I call Wow, that's a big hogfish. You're
here and there, but but nothing, nothing from major nothing.

Speaker 2 (45:26):
When you see one of those wild hawkfish, you won't
see him again because he's got a spear, so it's
sprain hawk and he's gone. So therefore he's longing around
to admire. To other divers who are diving, just shake
of the what happened because you shot.

Speaker 33 (45:41):
At the best eating fish out there, no bloodline, great texture,
all white meat. They're absolutely delicious.

Speaker 2 (45:51):
Do you have to go around at that big hole
you put to the side, You just have to carve
a round it and you fill them right?

Speaker 23 (45:57):
No, if I'm really good in the head, Eric.

Speaker 2 (46:00):
I see a guess. Okay, Jay, Jim, it's a great
look at fla. Why is there like a giant quarter
sized circle.

Speaker 23 (46:07):
In the head.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
He's not that. You're not that good, Jim. You're just
not that And then I get lucky. You the only
guy's got a freaking telescopic lens on his freaking spear
guid Okay.

Speaker 23 (46:22):
No, we don't have that that.

Speaker 2 (46:24):
We do not have a laser pointer lens on his
freaking spear guid man. Anyway, Jim, have a nice weekend, man,
go chuck on a line.

Speaker 23 (46:35):
We enjoy yourself and uh see you next time.

Speaker 2 (46:39):
All right, see you, Jim. It is starbright bucket time there, Joey,
let me show the bucket on screen here to our
great friends on the Facebook Lives Dream Made in America,
those on the radio listic at nine forty. That's a big,
rad beautiful bucket and uh even Jennifer Gray Warren made
comment last weekend that when she got our box, her

(47:00):

The Marlins fall on the fourth of July with fireworks
going on in the background as I record this to
the visiting Milwaukee Brewers, six to five the final score.
The Marlins were really threatening, they had two on in
the bottom of the ninth inning, but ultimately Auto Lopez
strung out on the thirty second pitch of the ninth
from the Brewer closer Trevor McGill. Sandiel contrast started the game.

(52:06):
He went six innings a five run ball, punched out four,
and walked one, and the Marlins falls at thirty nine
and forty seven. Otto Lopez did homer though, and Auto
with twenty RBIs over his last twenty games. Fish and

shining as Jack? What do you think? Man?

Speaker 3 (53:10):
Today's tough because it was you know, people were up
the fireworks.

Speaker 2 (53:15):
I'm gonna say no, no water, he's not on the water.
I'm gonna go the other way and say yes he is.
All right, Joy, bring him on, Joe please, Captain.

Speaker 28 (53:30):
Good morning, and Joe, you're correct.

Speaker 2 (53:33):
See, I know, I know sew you know his I
know my man? Yeah. How is your July fourth page?
A little bang bang? Last night?

Speaker 28 (53:42):
My July fourth was great. Last night was tough though,
as Joe knows, we live in a neighborhood where fireworks
do not stop till I don't know, I think they stopped.

Speaker 2 (53:55):
They kept me away till four o'clock in the morning.

Speaker 4 (53:56):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (54:00):
Yeah, dude, it was nuts last night.

Speaker 28 (54:03):
Strapped it in the house and the windows and the roofs.
But uh, but no fish has been, fish has been good.
Man went out yesterday my my little cousin just listed
town and I took her out. We got a real
big tuna on the on the boat and hung out
lake both. It was a great forest man nice got
off the water were the storms and the crazy people

(54:24):
was perfect day. Oh man, how big was it? It
was like a fifteen coundre okay, yes, sweet, any actual
fifteen pounder.

Speaker 2 (54:38):
Like a not actual fifteen pounder, I mean.

Speaker 28 (54:40):
Yeah, most people will say it's a twenty pounder until
they weigh it.

Speaker 2 (54:43):
Oh, it'd be like me holding fish from right to
the camera and makes it like it's ninety five pounds
like popla yeah the hold, yeah yeah, perfect, I get that. Yeah.
The scammers like we know the science, yeah everic schammers?

Speaker 3 (54:55):
Yeah yeah, thank you, Sean so any uh mahi And
because we've been hearing reports of mahi, I haven't heard
anything about Kingfish Wahoo has been Yeah, so what are
you hearing there?

Speaker 28 (55:09):
There was actually a good player and a walk of
it this week. A couple of days some people didn't
really well there a couple caught yesterday. Uh, some bigger
ones in Palm Beach. But you know there was a
thirty three pounder caught from kayak yesterday by Mauricio. Not
Mauricio that fishes your tournaments at different rissio. Okay, yeah,

(55:30):
well they're they're out there, man, you get some summertime
one fishing through.

Speaker 2 (55:34):
Yeah, but some consuming addicts Sean assuming putting in your
free show prep for Joe's tournament coming up next month,
I might add, wow, get close. Yeah yeah, crazy man.
Well we just had two more Hawaii guys sign up
over the weekend. That's awesome. Yeah, so I guess you're
you're not really super pre fishing right now, but you

(55:56):
do have your spots you got picked out for the tournament.

Speaker 28 (55:58):
Right, No, no spots. You gotta you gotta wait till
that day and see what the current's doing and fish
the water that day. That's the hardest thing about the
tournament is figuring out which way the current's going seeking
fish all day. Otherwise you get swept away to the
rest of your south.

Speaker 3 (56:17):
Yeah, and that happened in this last tournament we had yeah,
I know, and we had a guy from Jacksonville and
he was having like cramps or something and he got
swept away. I mean he literally was like all the
way to Boca.

Speaker 2 (56:32):
It was nuts. Oh you actually found him again other yeah,
well our helpout like being gone forever.

Speaker 3 (56:37):
No no, yeah, our helpout had to pick him up.
But yeah, man, he was he was pretty far. I'm like, wait,
you got cramps.

Speaker 2 (56:44):
I can imagine doctor Seawan and Joe. If the currents
running against you, you're trying to get back for the
time limit, would you has the cutoff and let's say
the currents running against you and oh yeah, because pedals
were going, You've been through all day long and you're
just tired as hell. It's gonna be kind of taxing
on you. Man, get back there and have some leg
power left. Imagine having a big fish on you that
you need to get back into. That would be even tougher.

(57:06):
Yeah wow, yeah, man, give you credit.

Speaker 4 (57:08):
Man.

Speaker 28 (57:09):
It was a battle for everybody. But the trick is
the guys that made it. You go all the way
into the beach. I mean, I'm not talking. This last
tournament wasn't seventy feet, it was seven feet closer to
the beach. You are the better. John Stackhouse, the winner,
did that. Justin Rischie did that. Everybody that had to
make your way back when all the other beach to.

Speaker 2 (57:28):
Make straight in. Yep. Well, I'll tell you one. The
thing you've got one of the most tricked out Yax
curtisy Ebnautical Ventures and a few other guys involved. You
got what you got sonar, radar down, view side, view
side scan, go bread the machine. That thing, dude, it's
I think it's loaded. Bro, you know what I mean?

Speaker 28 (57:49):
Yeah, thank you?

Speaker 2 (57:51):
And I guess how comfortable your seat is, because what's
coming out? The question who I know eventually come up?
But how great it is? Fish? Now? The seat has
changed his entire way of fishing because he's now super
comfortable in that civil oo as Pod three sixty from
Boomer the entrepreneur Gonzales.

Speaker 28 (58:12):
In my caress, right you are.

Speaker 3 (58:16):
And I do have to say, is I am proud
of Boomer because I've seen this from the beginning to
now and how and the changes the seat has gone through.

Speaker 2 (58:27):
Oh I saw the first version by the way, Oh
you did. It's actually a lawnchair, okay, lawnchhare. He put
like barbarers around the bottom. It was civil around it.
It was a four dollars army Navy lawnchair. It went nowhere.
But you look at it now, man, it's sweet. It's
got some patty in it. Man, it looks great. I

(58:49):
tells as Sean is a good lumbar support for you
as well. They're dude, or what.

Speaker 28 (58:53):
It's amazing, it really is. It changes changes. Like I
said before, it changes the whole day out there, you know,
from being uncomfortable and can't well, I can get out
of this thing too. I can see you're all day.

Speaker 2 (59:05):
My god, so many plugs were given Boomer. We should
have said, this guy bill for a sheet for for
some promo time, you know what I mean. He's a
good guy though, he's a.

Speaker 28 (59:13):
Great He told he told me that he has pictures
of you that he isn't you don't want out there?

Speaker 2 (59:18):
So why those are back on our gambling days of stories.
We were all getting hammered back in the day's Oh
I need to get these said at long story there. Yes,
we did get a little wacky back in the day,
and he was a kid, right, some of that wacky
to bacium Idad. But no, he was a kid. It
wasn't a kid either, Joe. You're trying to date me
again on the show. Many shot Man, Let me get

(59:41):
off us and get back on you because the're rambling.
As I said before, it's the only guy on the
show has ever called us a bunch of ramblers? Is
this guy here on the program online one, you guys
are rambling. I'm trying to fish catch on him. I
think he said that like two years ago. Now, I'll
never forget it. I carry grudges for a long time.

(01:00:01):
Shot Go walk your dog, enjoy your July fifth day,
off man.

Speaker 28 (01:00:06):
Before I before I get off here, I just wanted
to give a big shot out to Benny, who's coming
up next. Let him tell you all about it, and
he represented last weekend swept the old tournament. We'll let
him fill you in on the details on that. But
congrats to him and his team.

Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
So I'm proud of I can tip you off. You
got five paychecks to see you though. He's a happy guy.

Speaker 32 (01:00:27):
I know, I know.

Speaker 28 (01:00:28):
I was watched it took the picture.

Speaker 2 (01:00:31):
He cashed in royal Joe Man. Great. Couldn't have happened
to a better guy, terrifically and the same guy here, Sean.
Thanks again, man, you break a strong up a week.
You made a little fun back and forth with your
bad but you're you're the man, dude. I respect your
fishing skills like nobody else you practically appreciate. Man. You
are truly a hard core angler bar nuts. Thanks Sean, so.

Speaker 28 (01:00:49):

Speaker 43 (01:05:33):
Blew it all up last night in fireworks, Man, we
did celebrating America.

Speaker 2 (01:05:40):
Put it all towards fireworks. Listen. Congratulations man. I saw
your post and Sean was talking about your previous on
the last break, about us bringing you some profsible you did. Heck, yeah,
you fished a tournament last weekend. And how many categories
did you take? Dude?

Speaker 43 (01:05:56):
Uh so literally we got five checks in five different
category is wow?

Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
Wow, thank you, thank you? Yeah we could.

Speaker 8 (01:06:04):
Uh.

Speaker 43 (01:06:05):
Basically, we caught one kingfish that took three categories alone.
It was a big fish tournament. Our king was the
biggest fish of the tournament to be the first place
overall winner. He also took top kingfish in a KDW.

Speaker 2 (01:06:18):
He took top.

Speaker 43 (01:06:19):
Small boat for us because we were in the small
boat division and that was measured by big fish. Then
we had a good tuna that was the second place tuna.
Then we had a twenty pound barracuda that took second
place trash can fish. So we made eleven hundred bucks
just off of barracuda. That's pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
Do you want to talk about what his total winnings? Word?
Do you want to put it on the air. Maybe
the Irish is listening.

Speaker 43 (01:06:42):
You told me, yeah, I mean nothing crazy for Pompino
Beach charity tournament. The firefighters, you know, you're they're they're
doing it to raise money. But we walked home with
eight seven hundred and seventy seven dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:06:53):
Wow, Benny, Now how many guys he gets a split
of that? Benny? How how much of that money you
chop up hand out to your coat worker. Yeah?

Speaker 43 (01:07:01):
So I mean me, me being a fair guy and
also being you know, I'm not a rich guy that
could afford to put up the money for these tournaments
and blow it. So the incentive I give my guys
is whatever money percentage wise, that they put up towards
the tournament budget, that's what they get.

Speaker 2 (01:07:17):
Back in cash.

Speaker 43 (01:07:19):
If we rank after the boat takes ten percent off top.
So these guys went home with a nice little cup.

Speaker 1 (01:07:24):
Man.

Speaker 43 (01:07:25):
Everybody went home at around fifteen hundred bucks. You know,
they all threw in a pretty fair split towards the expenses.
They all worked hard all day and they all went
home with a couple of bucks.

Speaker 2 (01:07:34):
You know.

Speaker 43 (01:07:35):
For me, it's about those fake checks and trophies. You know,
the money's gone the next day.

Speaker 2 (01:07:38):
Those fake checks they stick around forever, right. You know,
Benny being Italian, you know he's not pulling the old
mob routine where he's actually you know, all right, I'm
gonna keep ninety, you get five, you know. So anyway,
he's a fair he's a fair hit man. Put it that.
I remember Benny.

Speaker 3 (01:07:58):
I remember talking with Benny years ago during the Salefish
tournament before he won. And I don't know if Benny
remembers this, but we had this conversation. He was talking
to me and he said to me what he just said.
It's it's not really about the money. For me, it's
about you know, the trophy holding up the checks.

Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
You know, that's what makes it great. That's why he
loves doing this. And I want to ask you, Joe,
what it be about the trophies or the money. I
know the answers already for me. Yeah, for you, if
I fished a tournament. Yeah, it'd be about the money.
I know you already because you're a money guy. Come on, man,
admit it. You know you want to put that in
your pocket.

Speaker 44 (01:08:35):
Okay, honestly, it would be it would be a mix
because yes, obviously it'd be about the money for me,
just because I like wheeling and dealing and that's my
whole thing.

Speaker 2 (01:08:46):
But but I would like a nice little trophy. That'd
be cool. That'd be cool. Well, Benny, props to that,
met my friend. So this week fish wise, what's the
charter's been doing with Benny's Fishing Charters.

Speaker 43 (01:08:57):
Yeah, this week, I mean we we did have a
lot of rainy days. We were battling to get out,
a lot of days with pressure changes that might have
affected the bite where it was a little slower for
us this week than it has been in the past
couple of weeks. I mean, it's definitely been like a
Benita blitz out here. No matter what we're trying to target,
we're getting slammed by Benitas. Whether you're out in three
hundred feet fishing baits down low on the bottom, or

(01:09:18):
you're you know, one hundred and twenty feet fishing for kings.
We've been getting swamped by those, but the King's still
been pretty consistent. The tunes have been slowing down for
us and Pompingo. We been getting some of the smaller
fish on the troll, not as many as the big ones,
you know, and the mah here, they're out there, they're scattered.
You got a grind form, run around, look for him,
find your birds, dive and find your weeds, float in,

(01:09:41):
you know, and you'll probably find some maahi. Were coming
to that time of the year where there's a lot
of schools of fish passing by. You know, there's a
lot of billfish following these fish right now, So I
know maybe you know, Norm used to touch on that
a lot when he was on the show beck Off.
That's something that's this time of the year. If he
was on today, he'd probably be talking about that right now.
So you know, it's just summertime fishing right now in

(01:10:02):
South Florida. It's find a good day with some decent weather,
dodge some rainstorms, and go catch some meat.

Speaker 2 (01:10:08):
Cool. Can I ask Benny one serious question, Joe? And
then I got whatevery serious, Benny. After all the years
you were doing this, man, do you still get like butterflies.
On every trip when you craak that motor up head offshore,
do you have that like anticipatory feeling like today could
be a whopper day surprise. Do you get like butterflies
still you're still excited about doing it?

Speaker 6 (01:17:54):
Yeah, we fished in the morning, but spent the afternoon
with the family grilling out.

Speaker 2 (01:18:01):
Alright, awesome man, very cool. I've seen your post this week.
You get a couple of Actually, every time I see
a post, you've got a doc full of fish. Man,
you caught everything but the flu. Talk about your week, man. God.

Speaker 6 (01:18:13):
Yeah, so last week we did pretty good on the
yellow tail snappers. One of the days in the daytime,
we had the good conditions that north current, lights, south wind,
and then I guess Joe gave me the good luck.
I got a nice water this.

Speaker 2 (01:18:28):
Week, gave the lot. Dude, this is crazy, Vinnie. If
we have something here, you're channeling, you real, you're channeling
with each other.

Speaker 3 (01:18:37):
Man, Vinny, listen, if we do like a you go
to the casino or something I get, we got.

Speaker 2 (01:18:43):
We gotta figure this out.

Speaker 6 (01:18:45):
Yeah, good, good, how it works exactly?

Speaker 2 (01:18:48):
Yeah, do a bigger chuck of VIDI don't let him
all right, fifty mafiosa. You ought that deal. But anyway,
so yellow tails are popping great. I thought I saw
some mahi on the deck as well this week as
well as well as well as well as well.

Speaker 6 (01:19:02):
Yeah, yeah, a couple of mahis out there. Not everyone's
been cheaper. There's been a lot of smaller fish, but
I thought some this week. Also on birds, the frigate
birds and the smaller birds, we call them flutterbirds around here.
They're like tuna birds. Those ones seem to always have
mahi on them if you find them off shore.

Speaker 2 (01:19:24):
There's this white when I had my boat fishing with
my son's the one time, Vinnie, I was out there
and nothing was bike man, I was kind of bummed
out about it. But there's a kind of bad and
it's one little bird man like a seven inch white turn,
I called it. I saw him dipping up and down.
This one single bird was just popping the surface up
and down right trolled by it. I got the I
got a monster bull and cow really under that little

(01:19:45):
tiny white turn. Yeah it's called a turn, yeah, asked VINNI. Yeah, yeah, that's.

Speaker 46 (01:19:52):
The right bird.

Speaker 6 (01:19:52):
Those those little ones like that, they always got dolphin
on them if you find them off the story.

Speaker 2 (01:19:57):
Okay, it's crazy Joe. Usually one of the about the
hawk birds whatever else flying around. But this is one
little like a white, little tiny turn right right just
going up and down man, dipping the surface of the water.
I said, I'm desperate man, and we trove on this
damn bird. You got whacked man big time. Yeah, Yeah,
crazy man, So Vinnie, So the mahi uh we've been
talking about kingfish. We've had a lot of kingfisher. Chat

(01:20:19):
on the show today, is that you daled as well?
Or you don't fish for them?

Speaker 6 (01:20:24):
We catch a few. It's been tough in Fort Everglades
for kingfish this week. A lot of bonitas, but a
few kingfish. If you're pounding the reef, if you're fishing
a live bait, you'll get a few. But you know,
a lot of the guys troll the planters and stuff.
It's spent heavy beanitas lately.

Speaker 3 (01:20:41):
Vinnie, are you are you putting your u your down
riggers down and stuff like that for the for the
wahoo or.

Speaker 6 (01:20:48):
For yeah, yeah, just a plane, just a plane.

Speaker 2 (01:20:52):
The planers planers.

Speaker 3 (01:20:53):
Yeah, and you're going you're going under the benita schools.

Speaker 6 (01:20:56):
Right, Well, here'stually this time of year with all the
banitas in there, the wa who's.

Speaker 32 (01:21:04):
Eating those beanitas exactly?

Speaker 6 (01:21:06):
So if you can get lucky enough to get your
bait in front of the wahoo before the benitas get it,
it's usually the you get the right fighte right.

Speaker 2 (01:21:16):
You know, if any jumping up a point. I had
a cannon down rigger on my last boat, and I
thought it'd be more of a paint of the ass
than what I wanted to deal with. Yeah, and I
got off that thing and want I'm back on planers.
I mean, guys still using down riggers these days. It's
still pretty popular or what.

Speaker 6 (01:21:34):
A lot of the guys use the down riggers for
the live bait, not necessarily patrolling. It's just it's so
much easier with the planer because it's just going to
go to a certain depth and stay there. With the
down rigger, you got to mes of it.

Speaker 2 (01:21:46):
And exactly if.

Speaker 6 (01:21:48):
You have the electric one, it helps because I need
to push a button to riel it up. But I
don't want to riel it up by hand anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:21:55):
Right, I saw, I was tired of it, but yaked
it off. My transfer said enough, man, I'll do with
the planners. Man. So anyway, have you heard anything on swordfish.

Speaker 6 (01:22:07):
I've seen a few caught this week. I haven't been
out there in a hot minute, but you know, it's
one of those things, if you're okay with the result
of not catching one, the guy that goes the most
is going to catch the most.

Speaker 2 (01:22:20):
Yep. Exactly, man, there you go. So is the yb
normal lot today? You've got a crew out there.

Speaker 6 (01:22:26):
Yeah, we've got two trips today. We've got a five
hour trip this morning and then we got four hour
this afternoon. Hopefully the rain stays away.

Speaker 2 (01:22:36):
Yeah, it's funny video I have on captains. Joe and
I have talked about this. Who are having trouble getting charters? Joe? Yeah,
I mean the one guy who's you might get one
during the week. I think, Vinnie, you're you're busy all
the time, but aren't you loaded up? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:22:49):
We usually fish at least five or six trips a week.

Speaker 2 (01:22:52):
Yeah that's great. That's pretty healthy.

Speaker 8 (01:22:54):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:22:54):
Yeah, that's solid. So go on, man, go on, go on,
no go, I was a video. Any more news to
the wahoo?

Speaker 6 (01:23:03):
Well, I can tell you that there was a flurry
of them this week. It seems like, especially out of
port Everglades, every day someone's catching at least one, maybe two.
So I'm hoping I'm the lucky lot of winner of
the day to day this morning. So yeah, all the
good luck you can.

Speaker 2 (01:23:22):
Joe channeling thing going on, You're gone, You're gonna get
a wahoo, No problem, I got you, You got it. Yeah, Vinnie,
one more time. Second, you go, man, give us your
contact never to fish on the Why be normal, brother?

Speaker 6 (01:23:35):
Yeah, you can book online at Fort Lauderdale sport Fishing
dot com or you could call us direct at nine
five four five five.

Speaker 2 (01:23:44):
Outstanding the no nonsense, Vinnie said. Man. Man just says
it like it is. Vinny. Thank you, brother man. We'll
have a great day, tight lines man. Thanks Vinnie.

Speaker 4 (01:23:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:23:54):
Happy for the July weekend, guys, take care.

Speaker 2 (01:23:57):
Thanks you too. So the wedding bells are ringing November.
Joe for Johnny. Things to build our buddy online one
dang ye Johnny good one and Buddy hey brother, Good
morning guys.

Speaker 27 (01:24:15):
Hope you all had a happy Fourth of July and
got to celebrate America.

Speaker 2 (01:24:21):
America, America. Yeah, Buddy, I lived off a whole bunch
of fireworks last night. Kept all my fingers so I'm
here at one piece. Yeah, Joe did the same. But
they did the same. Yeah, we all survived. But Johnny, yeah, man,
so we do what you do. They're just chill.

Speaker 27 (01:24:37):
Well, I have two very scared pit bull dogs.

Speaker 2 (01:24:41):
That god you know that.

Speaker 27 (01:24:43):
We curled up on the couch and watched the movie
and we had the surround sound up.

Speaker 23 (01:24:47):
As loud as possible and uh, you know, we.

Speaker 27 (01:24:51):
Just tried to basically, you know, comfort them. And it
happens every fourth of July, so we don't we don't
really celebrate.

Speaker 4 (01:24:59):
We just kind of, you know, keep the dogs at ease.

Speaker 2 (01:25:03):
And it's a ton of dogs. My dog climbs under
my under my bed and hides Joe. Yeah, I actually
went pet Her name is Leah and she's literally just shiving, shivering,
un controllable's shiving. Huh. She's shiving bed and shivering. I
might at the same time. So it's rough of the
dog's bad. But any how's your week, bed, Johnny. What's
in the fish world, buddy boy?

Speaker 27 (01:25:25):
It's been good fishing or well for me anyway. Business
is back to being a little bit on the slow
side this week.

Speaker 2 (01:25:33):
It seems every other week.

Speaker 27 (01:25:35):
Is slow and this was a slow week. But this
coming week I have a few trips on the books.
Fishing was good this week for the couple of trips
that I did do, and I got a good report
out of the Everglades that there's a lot of bass
fishing to be had out there. If you want to
go do some you know, straight up largemouth bass fishing.

(01:25:56):
There's there's some good bass fishing out there right now.
They're throwing a fourteen or a sixteen inch worm. One
of them is called the big nasty and and that's
how they're getting a lot of those bigger bass. Lake Ida,
you know, on the flip side, has been fishing. Interestingly,

(01:26:20):
I've never really seen this phenomenon until this year. And
I mean I've been fishing Lake E'da for almost fifteen
years now, actually for almost twenty years.

Speaker 8 (01:26:29):
I started fishing that.

Speaker 27 (01:26:30):
Place back when I was like sixteen years old, so
oh wow. But I've seen this phenomenon almost every day
where we'll be sitting on the lake and all of
a sudden, we'll see these peacocks just come up and
start busting on the surface like benitas do off shore,

(01:26:50):
and it's it's not something I've ever seen before. They're
chasing bait balls and they just come blowing up and
you could chase them down just like you do offshore
with the benita, and you know, cash baits to them
and you'll catch, you know, maybe six or seven of them.
Then all of a sudden they'll start blowing up one
hundred yards, you know, in front of you. So then

(01:27:10):
you pick up you move, you sit on them, and
you know, if you can live chum them up and
you can keep them with the boat, you can catch
forty fish doing that. There's there's it's a big school
of fish that's been doing it. It's started last week
and it's just insane.

Speaker 4 (01:27:29):
But you got to find the school.

Speaker 27 (01:27:32):
And that's that's not always the easiest thing to do.
You know, it's just right out in the middle of
the lake. And you know, if you're not really paying attention,
like a lot of guys will will fish with their
heads down.

Speaker 23 (01:27:43):
You can't do that on Lake Aida.

Speaker 27 (01:27:45):
You gotta, you know, put your head down and fish,
but not literally put your head down. You gotta have
your head on a swivel and fish. And that's how
you're going to succeed at Lake Ida.

Speaker 2 (01:27:56):
Off my balcony where I have my peak like bass
fishing quite often, I saw the same phenomenon last week
and I said, what the hell am I looking at here?
What is that that disruption on the surface. It's a
just a whacking bunch of peacock and there's a they're
fry all these fryer out there. Somehow they lost their
way to be protected on shore, made the mistake of
going out the deeper part of the gecock were just

(01:28:19):
nailing them. It was me and I didn't have my
rod reel ready like an idiot and a chance. But anyway,
that's my best Johnny.

Speaker 3 (01:28:27):
Are these are these peacock all like on the smaller side,
or are these like big ones and decently sized ones?

Speaker 23 (01:28:34):
It's every size.

Speaker 27 (01:28:36):
Some of them are pounds, some of them are four pounds.

Speaker 2 (01:28:39):
Gotcha? Well, great man, so good stuff. Well, on a
relative topic of good stuff here, apparently in four months
we've got wedding bills, ringing that party of thirty you've
got going on. Do you want to practice a couple
of words here, Johnny on the show to get it
kind of like doubt. I'll tell you whether it works
or not being married twice. I want you to practice

(01:29:01):
I do. Just say I do.

Speaker 27 (01:29:04):
We may wait at least two more months before we
start working on that.

Speaker 2 (01:29:08):
You know, just rememberize those two words, man, I knew
because when you say I do, you gonna do that
for a long time? Oh yeah, I do, I do.
I do. Yeah, I'd be there for you. I do. Yeah. Man,
all right, you head that today, Johnny on Land of
Locked Here where were going, man?

Speaker 27 (01:29:26):
Yep, I'm heading out to the Everlades. I've got some
guys from Sweden that want to go do some bath fishing,
and I mean that's a long long way to travel.
I come to some Florida bass fish. And that's how
good it is when I get people coming from across
the world.

Speaker 2 (01:29:43):
Any ladies or all just guys.

Speaker 23 (01:29:47):
It's today is just guys.

Speaker 27 (01:29:49):
But sometimes I have you know, women on the boat too.

Speaker 2 (01:29:52):
If you get a Swedish female fisherman, would you please
call me a little weekend? I let me take her
out for a date.

Speaker 15 (01:29:58):
Is yeah, buddy.

Speaker 2 (01:30:03):
Again Johnny? Yeah, man, going to the Chapel of Love.
But anyway, Johnny, have a great weekend, man, tear them
up and do what you do, brother, Thanks Johnny.

Speaker 4 (01:30:14):
Sounds good.

Speaker 8 (01:30:15):
Guys, have a good weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:30:16):
All right? All right, So we'll take a little shot
the one the forecast with Jenny Gray Warren coming up next.
We skip Brady by the way, skip us back after
breaking all those ribs falling off of that second station.
He's actually now gonna be on a show and do
his thing, and then we'll come back with the toy
chest and do it. Wrap this sucker up for a
big weekend extravaganza. Joey mack alright seven thirty odd I

Speaker 47 (01:35:05):
Good morning, guys, Good morning, happy fourth.

Speaker 2 (01:35:09):
It's a happy day here in Stephen J. Gray Land
and a little hot coming up here. But how is
your July fourth? You went Coop and Caden and Chris
lock it together and blow stuff up?

Speaker 4 (01:35:20):
Oh we did.

Speaker 47 (01:35:21):
We were all pyrotechnics in the front and we went
tubing on the Chattahoochee River with the boys.

Speaker 4 (01:35:29):
They had never done that before.

Speaker 2 (01:35:30):
So cool.

Speaker 47 (01:35:33):
And uh yeah, it's a great fourth grilled and yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:35:37):
Fun times shadow Chattahoochie River. It is that like there's
a song after that or something like that.

Speaker 23 (01:35:43):
I think, man, there is a song is a very
popular up here.

Speaker 47 (01:35:48):
They call it you shoot the hooch or you get
on the tube and you just slid down the river
and it's super fun.

Speaker 2 (01:35:55):
Shoot the hooch shows a pretty cool term.

Speaker 4 (01:35:58):
Yeah, we did, that's what we yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:36:01):
Well, we're glad you're back on the program. Someone, what
are the other other people said? Like ninety percent chances
of rain today? I wonder how accurate that is? What
does your forecast say, that great weather ball you get
there in front of you.

Speaker 47 (01:36:15):
I went with about a sixty percent chance of showers
and storms otherwise mostly sunny high there eighty eight Heaton
X could be as high as one hundred, though southwest
winds ten to fifteen sees less than two feet.

Speaker 4 (01:36:27):
Inner coastal water is a light chop.

Speaker 47 (01:36:29):
Tomorrow forty chance of showers and storms, mostly sunny high.
Near eighty eight Heaton Dex is high as one hundred,
again southwest winds ten to fifteen seas less than two
feet in her coastal waters the like chop in the Keys. Today,
fifty percent chance of showers and storms, mostly sunny high
in near eighty six southwest winds ten to fifteen seas
around foot nir shore water's light to moderate chop, and

(01:36:52):
tomorrow twenty percent chance of showers and storms, mostly sunny
high near eighty six south southwest windsor ten not seas
around a foot water is a light chop. And then
in Florida Bay today southwest winds ten to fifteen knots
baywaters light to moderate chop, scattered storms, and tomorrow south
southwest winds baywaters a light chop and scattered storms. I

(01:37:13):
find it to be pretty typical for this time of year.

Speaker 2 (01:37:16):
Yeah, well, I think I think at least we've not
had a hurricane warning. Why did you see that? We
managed to skip that all the all through? Joe, here
we again. You have to do a minimal I think, Jed,
I don't know. But anyway, you know, as the time
is taken by, isn't August the return of Destination Dive

(01:37:39):
on Discovery Channel?

Speaker 47 (01:37:41):
Yes, August ten, eight am Eastern.

Speaker 2 (01:37:44):
August August tenth. You said eight a m.

Speaker 47 (01:37:48):
August ten, the day we start.

Speaker 2 (01:37:51):
Yes, I am going to tattoo that on the palm
of my hand, so I'm not going to miss that
show man, Okay, Jen Gray warn a Destination Dive looking
at me that because you because I always forget what
the day runs.

Speaker 3 (01:38:04):
Yeah, You're gonna be like, oh I missed it, Jen,
when was it? And She'll be like August tenth, like
I told you the five other time, and.

Speaker 2 (01:38:11):
You're gonna be like, oh, I thought it was the
night I caught all nine year previous episodes. Man, I've
got them all. Yeah, I'm the only one that has
on my DVR. Yeah, anyway, DVR, dv are Yeah. Anyway, Jed,
have a great day, ignore me entirely. Have a lovely week. Okay, please,
you guys have a good one. Bye, Jen. All right

(01:38:32):
to the Keys we go. He's he's now recovering Joe.
Un till you've had broken ribs before or fracture ribs.
Oh yeah, I've had them before. Trying to take a
breath with that kind of thing. Oh my gosh, can't
bring it. Man, it's the worst. Skip, bradyed walcome back
to the show man. We're glad you're doing better.

Speaker 46 (01:38:51):
Hey, Skip, Hey, guys, By turns for me the lamp,
So don't make me funny, but don't you be funny.

Speaker 8 (01:38:58):
Anyway.

Speaker 46 (01:39:00):
We didn't get the show down last Saturday. I know,
but anyway, what happened to you? I wanted to give
a shout. I know it was two weeks ago, and boy,
what a beautiful job. There is a lot of money
for things they do in um. And we had so
many as so many people up down here, from all
football players to younger football players and baseball. A lot
of guys been but a big tense up at three Waters.
It's called that's why I'm working at it now, excuse to.

Speaker 8 (01:39:21):
Be holiday out And they put on a show like
you can't believe.

Speaker 46 (01:39:24):
And unfortunately on that first day at seven thirty in
the morning and on Saturday, I was on the bridge
talking to Jewelringe about making sure he did this radio
show because I'm going down below and put the baits out,
and I missed a step. I'm on his hatteras and
the steps instead of being like a foot and half
in between, this one's like four foot between, like for
guys seven foot tall to get up and down. And
I just missed it because I shouldn't have been I should.

Speaker 8 (01:39:47):
Have been thinking better.

Speaker 46 (01:39:48):
But I went down the deck to I cracked ribs
and on the air ports on the left side, and
I pulled all the muscles away from the from the bones.

Speaker 8 (01:39:58):
And it's been terrible.

Speaker 46 (01:39:59):
I'm I'm I'm confined here to quarter as I'm walking now,
I'm walking a half hour a day but I tell you,
it's so much pain still, and I'm gonna be out
another I'm gonna be out another thirty days. But it
doesn't mean I don't keep in touch. The boys are
doing real well.

Speaker 8 (01:40:12):
Out there right now.

Speaker 46 (01:40:13):
A lot of my he out there this year better
than the last few years, for sure, And that's funny trend.
But I talked to other guys throughout the week, you know,
just touching basic cause here I am, and I said,
how's the house of slammer? Is a slam on mind?
He I can consider that, we consider that eighteen twenty pounds.

Speaker 8 (01:40:30):
Like that, and once all about say skip.

Speaker 46 (01:40:31):
We got a twenty five and got twenty seven today,
and that's it. We've got the goolies and.

Speaker 8 (01:40:36):
All the pattern of that is down here.

Speaker 46 (01:40:37):
There's more slammers, and we're gonna call them slammers eighteen
pounds anymore. Slammy used to be twenty five thirty pounds,
but then we dropped that way to take everything else.
And the guys are catching a couple of average per
bowt one about catch four and the other boat won't
catch any. But it's I see a resemblance of something
better in the way of the big dolphin fishing. It
really looks good for the future.

Speaker 15 (01:40:56):
I hope.

Speaker 2 (01:40:57):
Yeah, that's great. Skip there these are side mine, yeah,
I mean these aren't swingers or you know, lifters, these
are these.

Speaker 8 (01:41:05):
All These all gaffers and slammer fish like that.

Speaker 46 (01:41:09):
And back in the day, I go back a long
way in the day and that fish twenty fifteen, twenty.

Speaker 8 (01:41:14):
Years ago, we would average on a chart about.

Speaker 46 (01:41:17):
Between five and ten fish between fifteen and thirty pounds,
and somebody always had that forty or fifty pounds of
that day.

Speaker 8 (01:41:23):
But those days are gone. I don't have an answer.

Speaker 46 (01:41:26):
We have theories and ideas and all that, and maybe
to catch it too many down south. But Brian con
brought a good point up the days my buddy wins
a lot of tournos down He says, these fishes, so
many schoolies eighteen nineteen under twenty inches down here right now,
more than any year in recent memory. And you know,
those fish grow rapidly and they're going to be growing big,

(01:41:48):
so not be slammers by the end of September where
they come back. And I like popping fishing in September
and October. Not a lot of business in town. But
those fish oil gaffers, you can't lift any When I
say a gaff, that's a.

Speaker 8 (01:41:59):
Fish having eight pounds.

Speaker 46 (01:42:01):
And you know, even if you have fifty sixty eighty
pounds test leader on it, you don't want to lift
him because if you're not going to break the leader,
but it's going to pull the hooks on out of
the fish.

Speaker 8 (01:42:08):
So it's kind of fish out. Think we're going to
look boat to Let's see what happens for this.

Speaker 46 (01:42:12):
I'm predicting a real good uh end of August, September,
October heavy lifted gaffer fish.

Speaker 8 (01:42:20):
We'll see if I'm right about that.

Speaker 2 (01:42:22):
So they hev gaber fish. Joe, well, you know Joe,
he ran his own boat called the blue Chip too
for many many, many many decades rather than actually had
a chance to fish with. My son's on his boat
gosh a long time ago skip and he sold it
off and now he's on George Clarks right and tired. Yes, right.

Speaker 46 (01:42:43):
It's funeral at the Temple of Tavin here, and I
was there for him to show respect. And his two
sons come up and apparently they had they had, you know,
some money that dad left to him, and they had
a boat for sale at fifty four foot hatters and
asked me if I had consider putting my overflow me
and I retire. But people don't know. They're around the world,

(01:43:04):
and they call me from all over the world, and
I say, well, I don't have a boat anymore. They said, skip,
can you polease find a boat? Will you please come along?

Speaker 8 (01:43:10):
That's the kind of you know I'm dealing with.

Speaker 46 (01:43:12):
And it's all clients I've had for fifty years, and
of course lot the newer than I, thank goodness. But anyway,
that's my business right now, and I am in the
right place if I stay off the damn bridge where
I don't belong anymore.

Speaker 8 (01:43:24):
Very good value and fired baits and singing and danced
by client. Tell I do much better.

Speaker 46 (01:43:30):
I promise, dear Lot, I promise I won't go up
on the bridge of that boat or anymore any long.

Speaker 8 (01:43:35):
I preach that all my all my age. I say, look, guys,
were getting to the age you got to be step.
What's that step? What's the step? And what do I do?
I fll eight feet from the bridge to the deck.

Speaker 2 (01:43:45):
I'm not laughing at you. I mean I'm laughing because
you're you're actually having a better day than you had
last week. That's great, now, Skiff, I understand you. You
sing to these clients on board. What's your what's your
number one singalogue? Go to Sammy Franco, what's your favorite one?

Speaker 8 (01:44:00):
Hey?

Speaker 46 (01:44:00):
The rock pack, all the rock pack, I know all
those Dean Martin, Seamy David doing a candy.

Speaker 8 (01:44:07):
Man can and I new strengths a notch high hopes.
I do all those songs. And you know what I
found about Judge. I don't know what I'm good yet.

Speaker 46 (01:44:14):
I've gotta put him on category, but I know what
thing he knows how to sing those songs with me.

Speaker 8 (01:44:18):
And if we're gonna we're.

Speaker 46 (01:44:19):
Gonna put the system on the boat, and at certain
times of the day, I'm gonna start putting that music
throughout the boat and we'll get we take it, taking
it from another level.

Speaker 8 (01:44:27):
We we've caught up facial. We haven't had a bite
in a while. We're gonna change it around.

Speaker 46 (01:44:30):
We gotta we have a cot service now when you
get on the boat in the morning's eggs to order coffee,
tea and a great big fruit tray.

Speaker 8 (01:44:38):
And then we get that put the way and then
we had to break out the afternoon.

Speaker 46 (01:44:42):
They've got that thing gonna called the Kajutia thing. We
have all the cheeses at all. Uh if we have
that for lunches and anyway, that's that's a special event.
Costs you more money. But that's the stuff that they're doing.
They're targeting a different situation, you know, that's all.

Speaker 8 (01:44:55):
Hey, I'm right there for it, buddy, I am right
up it.

Speaker 2 (01:44:58):
Well, Skip, we're gonna rock the clock. Man, how'd you
feel better? Get back? Thanks there, do what you do?
Thanks so much for being back on the show man,
could hear from you?

Speaker 4 (01:45:06):

Speaker 20 (01:49:42):
Twenty dollars for a chair at the beach?

Speaker 7 (01:49:44):
Yeah, that's not happening. Nope, nopy, nope, nope, nope.

Speaker 20 (01:49:47):
We're whipping out the Boat Arrow Chair. Welcome to the
Toy Chess segment on the Weekly Fisherman in Fox Sports
nine forty am. My name is Kat Haley, and I
will never pay for chairs at the beach again or
be annoyed by carrying bolty chairs with me thanks to
the Boat Arrow Chair. The Boat Arrowchair inflates and deflates
super easily.

Speaker 7 (01:50:06):
When deflated, just.

Speaker 20 (01:50:07):
Roll it up, buckle the convenience straps, grab the little
handle and go. I personally like to keep the chair
inflated in my car since it really doesn't take up
much space.

Speaker 7 (01:50:16):
Even when inflated, it's.

Speaker 20 (01:50:17):
Perfectly in a compact car is trunk, just like my
niece on ultimate.

Speaker 2 (01:50:21):
It's super lightweight.

Speaker 18 (01:50:22):
It's just seven pounds. That's lighter than a puppy.

Speaker 20 (01:50:26):
This chair's up to some witchcraft, because how the heck
does it hold up to two hundred and twenty five
pounds when it only weighs seven pounds. The boat arrowchair
is twenty and a half inches tall and twenty five
inches wide.

Speaker 2 (01:50:37):
This boat arrowchair is your go to beat, boat or
tailgate chair.

Speaker 20 (01:50:41):
It sits low to the ground, perfect forgetting your toes
just a little wet by the shoreline without getting your
booty wed. Throw the arrow chair on the tailgate, around
the campfire or wherever your venture is gonna take you. Now,
when you're sitting in your boat arrowchair, you're gonna want
a tasty snack, right. They sell accessories that have attachments
for the chair. Simply slip the air narrow cup holder
into the slider track and you're chilling and sipping.

Speaker 23 (01:51:03):
If you're worried I'll wear.

Speaker 20 (01:51:04):
And tear from the ocean the dirt, We're just having
the boat arrowchair tossed around. Let that worry rest.

Speaker 2 (01:51:11):
The military grade PBC skin means arrow.

Speaker 20 (01:51:13):
Boats can withstand being tossed around, banged, bumped, and scraped
with low risk of damage or permanent blash. If you're
a fisherman, there's also molly loops attached to the chair
so that way you can touch your gear on the go.

a bit of a two her shoe. So August is
coming up more quickly, I could believe. What August the ninth,

(01:52:02):
when is your tournament?

Speaker 3 (01:52:03):
So August ninth is the grand finale for the Summer Slam,
and the SummerSlam Part two is right at that date,
and it's right at Pampino Beach Pier. We're gonna have
anglers from all over the country come and compete in
this one. We have the USA Kayak Fishing Team coming

(01:52:26):
a getting into the Olympics and there's a lot to that.
But we have guys from all over that's coming. We've
got a group of like twenty guys from Hawaii, a

guy first time entry either this tournament call you up
or register on a line. Right, He's got this like
old half assed dolphin kayak with paddles and no pedal
power and no fish fighter, no electronics, just basically a
rod and a tackle box. Can he even have a

(01:53:32):
chance to compete tech gear?

up getting on stage. Yep, that gets onner.

Oh yeah, there's still a lot of the stealth kayaks
from South Africa. Uh, they're built for like speed. A
lot of guys use tho. The guy from Australia had
a stealth so no pedal power.

Speaker 2 (01:53:54):
Nope, it's all paddle, all paddle, crazy man. Yeah. Uh
the guy that got fourth place had a stealth all paddle.
