(01:54):
Jeff says, no Johnny yet.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
So Johnny's supposed to be reporting from the I cast,
which is going on the last four days. And yeah,
do you know what I cast actually stands for? Uh,
like I'm casting? No, it's actually its abbreviation for something.
Do you have to know what it might be?

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Nope?

Speaker 2 (02:12):
I in for me. Joy, Thank you, International Conventions of
Allied Sport Fishing Trades, International Convention of Allied Sport Fishing Trades.
As I cast, interesting, a bunch of guys with boosts,
with tackle and new rods and reels, all this innovative
new stuff you find man on the market. It's quiet gathering.
It'd be great to do a show there one day.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Hey, I would love that.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
I went there for like six years straight and it
was fun.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Yeah. You know, it's a big hangout man talking tackle
and whatever. Yeah. Well, the word I got this week
talking to a couple of casts last night was Mahi
is still in the menu.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Yep, that's what I heard.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
They still are banging. Yeah, a couple of guys getting
tuna fish still late in the season. They're still biting
in the afternoon. That late afternoon b it's pretty bad. Yeah,
pretty good, rather good bad egg. Yeah, and do some
snapper biting's going on.

Speaker 7 (03:05):
Bottom fishing has been great, okay, and snook fishing on the.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Beach has really picked up.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (03:13):
And I know a guy that went out recently off
the beach and got two keeper mutton snappers on the beach.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Okay, So yeah, man, it's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
So I will quick note that Jeff Johnny Stetham just
goes call me back. Apparently he didn't grab his phone
the first time. So we're trying to have the old
linkage going on here. You know, it's a live show
and things are not scripted around here, and sometimes things.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
The way we like it, right, you like the pressure we.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Were to script this show, it'd be entirely just one big,
boring two hours of schmeg.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Yeah, how do you think it would go?

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Like?

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Hello, my name is Eric B. I am South Florida.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Hi, Joe Hector. How have you been? Are you good?
Right now?

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Positive? Been great?

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Okay, So we're still having trouble connecting. This is calling
him call five now from Jeff. He's tried five times.
I wonder if he called the number you gave him
or the one.

Speaker 8 (04:11):
I gave him.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I don't know whatever. Yeah, anyway, so uh look at
this connect gave him the shop by mistake, you gave
them a shop number, Okay, Jeff, don't call the don't
call the number Joe gave you.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Call the number I gave you.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Okay, Oh, Johnny's ready now it goes alrighty, Johnny came
on into your brother, Johnny.

Speaker 9 (04:33):
Good morning, can you jere me okay?

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yes, sir, your phone sun is a little strange. Man's
part of a random building? Or whereabouts are you?

Speaker 9 (04:42):
I am in Orlando.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
That's a strange place already. That makes sense anyway, even
if I cast for a couple of days. Man, talk
about how great that show's been. What have you been
doing with Johnny Jigs all set up there?

Speaker 9 (04:57):
Man, It's been quite an incredible show. It's it's a
pretty interesting to see the amount of booths and people
that set up and just every buddy who's in the
tackle world and everybody's who you see on TV on
fishing shows and everything you know, they're they're there at
icas and for people that don't know, it's a it's

(05:19):
the biggest fishing tackle trade show, uh in the world.
We set up a huge, just beautiful booths for Johnny
Jiggs at the show, and a couple of really cool things.
We unveiled our full new lineup of Temple Refronds at

(05:39):
the show, so in shore off shore jigging and and
just something that we're super proud of and super proud
to be a part of, as well as something else
that we've been keeping a secret for quite some time.
We unbuild our new jigging reel, which is the PJ

(06:00):
and two five so it's a level line wheel. So
everybody got to take a look at that at ICs
this year, So that'll be available for pre sale probably
in the next couple of weeks for the public. But yeah,
I'm pretty whooped. It's it's uh, it's you know, two
days of sending all that stuff up and then three

(06:21):
days of walking around and talking to everybody, and I was,
I know when we got I got ten minutes to
tell you guys about you know, five days of my
life this past week. But I'm walking out of the
I cast that's on the second day.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
So we've got a great video. Johnny, have you running that?
You said to me that that thirty second video looks great. Man,
just look at the Johnny jigs booth and panting around
you're looking at Man's great.

Speaker 9 (06:49):
Yeah, you guys can see it, right, It's pretty cool, yea.
But so I'm walking out ICs and I see Steve
Harvey over at the DIOU.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Yeah, Steve Hardy, Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's funny.

Speaker 9 (07:05):
That's I'm on the phone with my my wife on
the way out. I'm like, hey, that's Steve Harvey and
she's like, go back in and take a picture. And
I'm oh my god, this is not my thing, right,
So I'm like, I'm not doing it. And then she
tells me you go in there and do it. So
I walk back in and I'm standing there like a dummy.

(07:25):
He knows I'm standing there, he knows what I want
to do. And then he just turns around quickly. He's like,
let's just get this over with.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
He said that, Wow, let's get this over what. Man,
that's kind of liked with a gas.

Speaker 7 (07:45):
He's very u what's the word, you know? That's kind
of his stick, right, I know.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Rude man. I wouldn't take it too happily. Take you through.

Speaker 9 (07:58):
I didn't take it personally because I mean to give
out it everywhere the dude walks, he's got to take
a picture of somebody, right. It didn't. It didn't bother me,
but I do gott to tell you guys about it. Cool.
Some cool other things that that I noticed that the show,
outside of Johnny Jiggs, which of course was the best
boots there and I'm not buying anyway, but so Diowa

(08:22):
got best in the show for a new spinning reel
and a new rod that was an insure rod for
fresh water, which is pretty cool. They unveiled the new
Salt Saltie, which is like kind of like their entry
level reel. But if you look at the thing, it's
pretty beautiful and it's it's it's perfect for slow cash jigging,
and that's why it caught my eye. Accurate put out

(08:44):
a new reel which is like a price point reel.
It's going to be like around three hundred bucks. That
looks pretty nice. I was excited about that, and then
I ran into Chrissy. Well he I'm gonna say your
name along, but you remember in the show of Spanish Fly, yeah,
back in the day. So I ran into his daughter,

(09:06):
the daughter, and they're going to put a new They're
they're going to start a new show and kind of
bring back all of Jose's old shows and then tie
it into a new show. So that was pretty exciting
to talk about. Yeah, that was definitely really cool.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Yeah. He passed away in like a plane accident, right.

Speaker 10 (09:31):
Yeah, yeah, right, yeah, that's why she like showed me
the intro and something like my hair was standing up,
you know, because it was just them and then and
then blending it into like all the old captains that
he fished was back in the day and will be coming,
you know, back on the show.

Speaker 9 (09:49):
So that was pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (09:52):
Man, the other guy who won the what's that?

Speaker 3 (09:57):
There was a lot.

Speaker 7 (09:57):
Of like, uh, you know a lot of people there
like hi, you know, a plus actors, comedians, all that
fishing guys.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
I saw one guy a lot of photos and uh,
they were sitting next to Rick Murphy. He was actually
on a stepping stool because he's only like five foot
five foot one, it's like four four five, So yeah,
stepping stool. But I take a photos next to folks.
Yeah really yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
There's nothing personal anybody.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Rick Murphy was out the thing. Yeah, sorry Johnny. Anyway,
so before you go, man, any catchers, have not anybody
tossing Johnny jack this week and catching fish or what?
What have you heard?

Speaker 11 (10:38):
Man?

Speaker 9 (10:40):
I'm having just a killer run of Uh. I did.
I did Campon where I got into some Kitty Mitchell's
and I did Louisiana where I just got into a
queen snapper bite that was unforgettable. And I'm headed back
to Louisiana next week and then the week after that,
I'm going to Japan to try and catch something the snappers.

(11:01):
So yeah, I'm I'm gonna I'm going. Maby it's been
a while.

Speaker 2 (11:06):

up to traveling, Joe, and that's what he's preaching. You
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
I've told Johnny this since I met him.

Speaker 7 (11:14):
Like he hustles, like he is on it all the time,
twenty four to seven. If he can, if he can go,
he's gonna go. And I give him a lot of credit.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
That's good time.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Man. Well, Johnny the clock here since we're walking, man,
but thanks for taking your time this morning to jump
on first and to shoot. Yeah, great report for my cast.

you told me. And tell Steve Harvey, I'll pass on

ronic and all kinds of things.

I saw you with a big, big bass this week man.

Speaker 20 (17:38):
Brother, Oh yeah, you guys do it.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Prettychipper this morning.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
He actually said chipper, did you hear that? He's like,
are you guys doing okay?

Speaker 20 (17:51):
Loading up? Loading up, the loading up the boat at
the moment, so well ready to go?

Speaker 2 (17:58):
There you go, man, I saw it. It was a big,
large mount you got this week?

Speaker 20 (18:03):
Yeah, yeah, that was a It was a large bass
at Headwaters Lake. If you guys have ever heard that
it's up in Vero Beach that uh it's been around a.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Worm or a frog or what would you catch him on?

Speaker 20 (18:19):
Uh alter the uh, the cuttail worm, ultra vibe worm.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
Yeah, well, dude, I've been hearing a lot about that
old school.

Speaker 20 (18:30):
Well, it's the time of year. It's worm. This time
of year is the great bass lure. It's you know,
it's moving it slow and on the bottom, and those
bigger fish, you know, they don't really want to do anything,
you know, they're not They get pretty lazy this time
of year it gets so hot, but find them and
you know it's it works really well this time of

(18:51):
the year. So it's always been a big fish peat.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
I saw a guy like Corey this week, which I
thought it would be incredibly weird. This guy walks up
ADDIE's got to bag a Jolly Rancher candy and he
tells the guy who's filming. He goes, hey, check this out.
This never fails me, but you gotta leave the wrapper on.
He puts a hook to the Jolly Rencher Jolly Rancher candy,
tosses about thirty yards and the video there's no cutaway,

(19:16):
there's no edits, and a monster large mouth hits this thing.
He drags him through all the sawgrass and seaweed whatever
else on the bank and grabs his mouth opens up
and there's a Jolly rancher hooked inside of his mouth
and it's legit.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
Are you serious?

Speaker 2 (19:32):
I'll show see it during the break. So there you go, Corey,
another wacky wick bass man.

Speaker 20 (19:37):
I don't know, dude, Yeah, maybe it's somebody's pet behind
her house.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Another one of those hand fed We see you guys,
miss this. We've got some theories about why these guys
are catching record snakeheads. Yeah, basically hand feeding him chicken
wings and the cheeseburgers.

Speaker 21 (19:56):
What that for?

Speaker 2 (19:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 20 (19:58):
Oh god, you're it could happen with the bass because
years ago I had it in my backyard where I
you know, let's feet all sorts of fish, you know,
bluegill and carp and all sorts of stuff, and you
get the bass that would come in. So I whacky
rigged a French fry and I caught a six and
a half pound bass on a wacky rigged French fry.
So you know, it can't happen French fry. Yeah, wacky riggas.

(20:23):
Like when you use a worm and you whacky rigged,
you whacky riggags. You took it right in the middle
of the worm, so it kind of like it dangles
and it's without a weight. So you play with a
French fry, and I caught the fish that way, so
it can happen.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
You know what's interesting, Uh, there's a lake.

Speaker 7 (20:38):
I don't know exactly where it is, but it's it's
where it's on. The bruise room is literally on this lake.
Okay you know that place? Yeah, okay, yeah, Well supposedly
I have a friend that that used to work there
at that bruise room, right, and he says, there are
some of the biggest snakehead he's ever seen, and they

(21:00):
hang out right at that dock because people toss out.
They're tossing out chicken wings and they're eating them. Yeah,
like just sucking them up. So if you want a record, maybe,
uh that may be a good spot.

Speaker 20 (21:19):
Yeah, going, uh going to going to publics after this
and go and get some chicken wings.

Speaker 7 (21:23):
So choky, he said, Like some of them were monsters.

Speaker 20 (21:30):
I bet yeah, yeah, yeah, no, I've I've caught I've
caught some giants over there in the past in that place.
I just I I just never used any of the
food over there, though. I just I would go around
and screwing around with art officials, so I knew they
were all they'd hang sometimes you get him around the dock,

(21:50):
they would hit artificials, but yeah, they get they would
get set over there all the time.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
Yeah, I said, you're packing up where you head off
to this morning, where you're taking yourself.

Speaker 20 (21:58):
We're uh not so great area neighborhood, but we're going
for snakeheads and hopefully uh hit a couple of big
ones that would be nice. You must be somewhere, uh yeah,
it's in a in a great area.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
Well oh yeah, you're packing pack some heat in your
back pocket. Yeah, be careful man, Yeah.

Speaker 20 (22:23):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it'd be all right. I know a
couple of guys around here, so they're good.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
It's very cool. But he knows a guy, good guy,
you know what I mean that seriously, man, Yeah, Cory, that.

Speaker 20 (22:36):
Best is ten pounds too. By the way, someone headwater.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
Want I got ten powder, show the photo. I'll show
you Joe as a monster ten pounds. Yeah, he's not
the kind of guy to exaggerate. Corey says he's got
a ten pounder. He's not being Yeah, where'd you get it?

Speaker 5 (22:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 20 (22:54):
No, that lake that yeah, no, the headwaters like that.
That lake's got a lot of a lot of big
fish in it. It's there's a hundred guides in that place,
but uh, there are a big fish there. So it's
it's it's a it's been vara, but it's a good
it's a good player. They go there every you know,
every now and again just to get out of Florida.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
Is it deep?

Speaker 20 (23:16):
Yeah, there's there's places in there that are twenty thirty
foot holes that they dug out specifically for they made
it into a bass fishery, that's what they did. And
they enhanced these areas where they would dig it out
to make it like twenty twenty five thirty feet. There's
pits in that place, and uh, there's a lot of
shallow flats, but they got these pits too, and it's
uh so it's it's a it's a good it's a

(23:37):
very good fishery.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
The hell.

Speaker 20 (23:42):
No, No, it's just to north. Yeah, but there's a
lot of big there's a lot of big bass in
there though.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
So you.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Carry uh, you carry like a fish finder of some kind.

Speaker 4 (23:55):
I do.

Speaker 20 (23:56):
Yeah, I've got a little like Garmin striker. It's nothing,
nothing fan see, I don't have any forward facing sonar
and all that game.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
Forward facing sonar. That new cheating when he gets fished
on my dad, by the way, I think it's just
should be.

Speaker 20 (24:08):
So I tried it on a guys, man, I try
it on a guy's boat, and it was interesting to use,
just because I never did it and it was kind
of interesting to do it for the first time. But yeah,
I'm not a fan of it. I can't look at
that screen constantly and you know, look at my lure
and offishated. I just I'm not I'm old.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
It takes a sport out of the sports joke. Actually,
radar every what else?

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Man, that kind of sucks.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
Man, Come on, man, come back. Just use some landmarks
and tossing to a log or something.

Speaker 20 (24:42):
You know what you know people about Well, how about
reading the water and you know like he you know,
like I was talught to you know. Thank you very
much reading the conditions.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
Well, Cord, have a safe trip, a great trip. Keep
catching those monster fish. I'll keep put on my Facebook
on my promo post and you're rocking as all event.
Extee for a great report, Buddy.

Speaker 22 (25:02):
Thanks brother, have a good one, guys.

Speaker 3 (25:05):
Ten pounder Joe, It's insane, man. I mean, I'm going
to pull up this page right now. I'm sharing the show,
by the.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Way, It's just just that thought. I'm freaking a fish
up that big. It's pretty crazy. I'm geting these little
two or three pound and pablos every time I cast
my stuff out. Man, I lost another lure this week.
I've been doing this trick where I'm tying my suspending
dirt bait to my line right right, and I'm doing
like a uniont and then I'll leave like a loop
about a quarterach to make the lure play a little

(25:32):
bit better. The problem with that is, though, when the
fish is coming up over the balcony, it's broken off
in that same spot on two different fish, which means
you tell me, I got to actually torque that not
that loop out of the ring man, because it's it's
causing a weak point in the line.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
Seeing that that is one of the negatives.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
You know, I've lost two expensive lures trying to read
them over the balcony. If I actually was smart enough,
it actually wasn't bought a damn long handled net. I'd
actually save the.

Speaker 7 (26:02):
I cannot believe all the years you live there and
you don't have a net, I don't have a net.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
Like what if you what if you got that that pakou?
You know, how would you even get up?

Speaker 2 (26:10):
I actually walk him down my deck the beach to
the beach and then bring up a of But that's
a risk. I understand that. But I'm saying, if I'd
been a smart man, I would have bought a net. Yeah,
that's on my list Amazon. I for the show.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
All right, your son didn't blow up that whole area.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
Uh they're actually back after the quarter sticks went off. Yeah,
they're back. It's like a little breacaus. He was blowing
up on a reward fishing fleet. Start by bucket coming

by Mercury Marine. Go boldly with legendary fisherman Eric Brandon,
an extreme angler.

Speaker 8 (30:05):
Joe Hector.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
He is a fabulous Saturday morning walking back to the
Donical Ventures Weekly Fisherman show the song in honor of
Wayne con he's that sixties rockery. Yeah, he's a gigantic
doors fan of my Dead and a little Zeppelin. Wait, god,

(30:34):
you go aner, buddy boy, Hey, I'm here.

Speaker 4 (30:37):
I'm here. No making son, no making fun of my era.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
All right, man, I'm I'm part of it. What are
you talking about?

Speaker 3 (30:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Me too, cool with you, buddy, Yeah, man.

Speaker 4 (30:47):
Absolutely, you get throwing a little animals for me too.
It's all right.

Speaker 2 (30:51):
I can live everything. List receive a well personalized listener. Wait, okay,
there you go. Anyway, Rewards Fleet treat you well this week. Hey,
we do it.

Speaker 4 (30:59):
Man, Hey, listen, we're floating. Everything's good. We're moving, carrying
a lot of folks out fishing, a lot of people
trying it. You know, the heat's been you know, it
is what it is, man, hits. The sun's up and
it's been brutal. My gosh. Man, But uh, fishing wise,
we're still we're we're in the dulgrums in the daytime.
We have caught a few real nice fishing we've got.

(31:20):
You know, it's a hide. This week, we've got sailfish.
This week, got four or five. I had a double
header on yesterday, which you know you're talking about. This
is almost August, man, so people a lot of people
don't think, you know, they're thinking seasonal and to put
their kite stuff away and this kind of stuff. If
you got enough breeze, I'm gonna tell you right now,
if you were kite fishing the last few days, you'll
probably catching six, eight ten fish a day. I guess

(31:43):
nobody's doing it. So when nobody's trying it, you know,
you got folks doing all kinds of other things. Sailfish
is just cruising by man. But you know, we do
get live bait. We had a we had a small
corporate group on my smaller boat, I have fifty six footer.
We got two live walls in that boat. We love
the wells up with goggle eyes and Pilchris and stuff
and could barely get a bite, but we did. Uh,

(32:06):
we did have a double header on that. We ended
up losing both the fish unfortunately, you know, late in
the morning. Yeah, and uh, and that was that was
cool and that's cool for this time of the year.
So that's one other thing I'd put out there to
the folks say, don't don't be afraid to try them.
We're just flat lining fish. We're just flatlining the gaglies
we put, uh, you know most of the rods. Well,
we may have some top shot of like fifty and

(32:28):
then like two foot of five wire something like that,
because you always got a shot this time of the
year of a really big waho where a big king
can happen.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
Because goggle eyes aren't cheap man, and that that expensive baching.
I know, God, I know a guy okay, Oh you
know guy okay, because you gotta know a nice.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
So you know, it brings to another point. And I
because I always trying to think about bringing something. Dude,
you guys look, I do half day party boat fishing
out of downtown Miami. We do three nights a week.
I I've always been one to try to help people,
and I just want to make sure that your audience
does almost anything they want to learn. Am I going

(33:14):
to show you exactly where to how to go catch
a twenty pound group? Or maybe no, that's not the point.
It's not about you know, It's like they say about
teaching a man to fish or giving them a fish.
You know, but my staff, my guys are incredibly skilled
in a lot of kinds of fishing. We don't get
to show off all the time. But anybody in that
audience wants to learn about vertical jig and slow pitch

(33:34):
jigg in the knots, live any of that stuff, Understand
the contours of the reefs out here. Man, nobody does that,
and I'm happy to So I'll be happy you'll go
to any clubs, any groups, whatever and give them a
little give them a little nibblet of something they can
work with. You know. But you can read all the
books you want, look at all the YouTube stuff you want.

(33:57):
You don't get out there and experience it yourself, You're
never going to become a good fisherman. You're just going
to be one of these book read guys. You know,
you got to be able to think when you fish. So,
so anyway, for us the night fishing, Yes, sir.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
I quite I had a dumb question, but I'll started
jumping and cut you off.

Speaker 4 (34:12):
The questions are dominant.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
I'm just thinking about that. Have you read clients or
guys on board. Who actually got to sneak up into
the wheelhouse and take a snapshot of your GPS fish
fighters screen and Eric, I'm curious, Eric, Eric, you're still
driving a super sport from the sixties.

Speaker 4 (34:35):
Listen, I've been mugged. No all, you needs your phone.
It's not just that.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
It's not just that.

Speaker 4 (34:41):
One of the young guys I trained, who's an attorney,
he said to me, he's to say Wayne. He says,
you got to tell bouncer. He said that when he
posts a picture he has to take off locations. I said,
what are you talking about. He says, yeah, everybody can
see right where he is.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
At this point.

Speaker 4 (34:56):
Yeah. Unfortunately, unfortunately, the way of the day is if
you could steal something from somebody, they think it's funny.
It's it's about ethics, and there's a lot of stuff
and you know, we've all been hit and it changes
the way we have to fish. But but that's you know,
that's a negative end of you know, I've trained guys.
I trained a couple of guys recently trained them from
day one. Didn't know how to do anything. They they

(35:18):
just took everything off my GPS, turned it around and
tried to get out and make a living with what
with what? Intellectual property? It's intellectual property, but is it
against the Lawyah? You know what, it's against being a
good person.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
So yeah, there you go.

Speaker 4 (35:35):
But I do get it.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
Man.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
You know, it's hard to put the time in out
there to learn it really is, unless you're being paid
to do it. Who can afford this stuff?

Speaker 5 (35:43):
Right?

Speaker 2 (35:43):
You think about the rework fleet. You can afford that
may fifty five bucks to offish your base, your crew,
your gas.

Speaker 4 (35:52):
Yeah the arena too, by the way, the arena is
only ten bucks and then you can park all day
all night there if I'm not mistaken as well, there's
no events going on on, so uh, you know, I'm
trying to push really hard to try to get groups
and we did. We did I think four kids trips
this week. And we still do our regular business, which
is cool.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
That's great.

Speaker 4 (36:10):
But I'm not trying to slam the social media, but
I'm trying to get get stirred up a little more
saying hey man, I'm here and this is what I
want to do with one of my boats. So uh,
anybody that's got a kid with a birthday, you want
to do a fishing birthday for kids. I don't care
if they're six or if or eighteen, it doesn't matter, man.
So we're there to do that kind of thing. So
sure we up. Three times a day, three nights a

(36:33):
weekend is all we're doing now. Since COVID, we we
kind of we had to give up the full time thing.
But excuse me. At Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights, mangrove snappers
are chewing. They are chewing. And the only tip I
could give you with that, man, they don't start biting
till nine thirty or ten o'clock.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
So waiting. So you're a plethora of information. But we've
got to move on to the next guy behind Goby.

Speaker 4 (36:55):
I have a wonderful day, man, you.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
See, Wayne, I'm not He was in Italy, Joe for vacation.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
Really, Jim Matthew was actually gone for a week. Did
he do some.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
I think you know that he was spirit was es
cart go with a sport.

Speaker 7 (37:11):
Oh all right, a little pastado and a little pacchini stuff.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
In his face was just calorie Layton. He must have
weighed like nine thousand pounds by now that what she
went to like a triple X Excel. We'll find out
more now.

Speaker 3 (37:29):
Yeah, Jim Matthew, the dive man is Jim.

Speaker 4 (37:33):
Yeah, I'm here, I'm here.

Speaker 32 (37:34):
Yeah, no, by I'm back good good. I definitely added
some late. There's no food was unbelievable, holy smoked. Italy,
France and Spain on a cruise. It was just awesome,
you know.

Speaker 33 (37:51):
Uh.

Speaker 32 (37:52):
And and the thing there is, you know, you could
wear your speedo and you fit right in. So Eric,
I think you know, I think we're good. All right,
I'm gonna leave you with that bot.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
What you lose on the Version Atlantic cruise for the
little kids on board.

Speaker 32 (38:11):
Virgin Voyages, Buddy, Virgin Voyages.

Speaker 2 (38:13):
No no children, no kids, no kids, that's why you're
speeding thing. I just can't fathom a boat full of
speedo word knuckleheads, man.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
That's just disgusting.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
This the thought makes you a puke man. God junk,
got the junk hanging out?

Speaker 12 (38:27):
Man, Like, come on, man, really, dude, what happens on
those cruises?

Speaker 2 (38:31):
Yes, I wonder what happens on those cruises?

Speaker 12 (38:33):
Joe, Yeah, no kids like a lot of a lot
of figs, a.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
Lot of fun.

Speaker 8 (38:38):
Yeah yeah yeah yeah a lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
Great food.

Speaker 5 (38:41):
Uh and and.

Speaker 32 (38:42):
All the itinerary sicily was really good of Corsica in France,
really really good.

Speaker 5 (38:48):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (38:48):
I did not dive over there.

Speaker 32 (38:50):
Uh you know, we were just really on a on a
tour type of stuff. But it was really nice over here.
Let me get to the good stuff. My buddy Marshall
went out yesterday without me, of course, but that's okay.
And he experienced one of those little upwellings which you know,
periodically you've can have that where it's a little chili

(39:10):
down there. Visibility kind of turns a little yukie. But
you know, he said, the fish were there, man, the fish,
the snapper, the mangrove snapper were there. Still seeing black
groopers but chasing them.

Speaker 8 (39:24):
They're smart now, they're smart.

Speaker 32 (39:25):
They've been they've been chasing and all that other good stuff.
So anything from that standpoint, you know, if you get lucky,
you get lucky, you know. But and then of course
the best part we're coming up on lobster spiny lobster
mini season, buddy mini season really yeah, this y yeah,

(39:47):
this month, this month and while wok away I got
my coin, my ten year anniversary coin from the FWC.
They call it the reef Rangers, where if you submit
twenty five and fish.

Speaker 4 (40:01):
Tails, you get a coin.

Speaker 32 (40:03):
The coin allows you to have one additional spining lobster
on each day of miniseason. So instead of twelve per person,
which is what appear in Fort Laudodale area, we're allowed
to have instead of versus six down in the keys,
we can have I can have thirteen thirteen per day.

(40:25):
So actually that's paid off for us the last couple
of years, so we've been we've been right on that and.

Speaker 5 (40:34):
Look forward to it.

Speaker 32 (40:34):
You get a free T shirt, you get into a
raffles stuff, you get free stuff all the time, so
it's pretty cool to get rid of the lionfish. And
of course the sidebar is they taste really good. So
you know, you get the tails, you keep the tails
and you submit them to the local dive shop and
they whatever. You know, that kind of deal.

Speaker 24 (40:54):
But all good, all good.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
Man, Joe, I have a courture for Joe. We do
have a little pool. Go on here, Joe, what do
you think Jim matthews cholesterol level really is over five
thousand or over ten? I mean the kind of stuff
he eats. Man, between that cruise and all that dog

(41:16):
drown those lobster tails in butter.

Speaker 7 (41:18):
Well, I mean minus minus the cruise, because what he's
doing is all natural.

Speaker 3 (41:26):
I mean he's catching his own stuff. I don't think
it's actually that bad man.

Speaker 7 (41:32):
I think going out and having just a plain chicken
sandwich at a restaurant restaurant is worse what he's.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
Doing dallasting the lobster tails. It's some kind of a
really thick ass, schlocky sauce of some.

Speaker 3 (41:44):
You don't know what he's doing that.

Speaker 2 (41:45):
I've seen him on Live for you.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
You don't know. You don't know what's in that sauce.
He might be growing natural butter.

Speaker 2 (41:58):
You make your own butter to cow the thing down
with the thing.

Speaker 3 (42:03):
When the moon it's the sky like a big lobster pie.
That's a lobster.

Speaker 8 (42:12):
Boy.

Speaker 32 (42:12):
Hey, we're just looking forward to getting back into the
routine of diving and finding lobster. I think again, this
is the thirtieth and thirty first of July, so you
should have already had all your gear checked out, and
you should take make sure you tanks are vap'd and
the hydro and all that good stuff, and you should
have a plan. You need to have a plan. That's

(42:34):
one of the things. Oh I think I'm gonna go
with Joe. Oh I'm gonna go with Bob. I'm gonna
go Now. You need to have a plan. And that's
the thing. You know, Uh, we know what time we're
gonna get out. We're gonna get off early. We're gonna
go early. We don't do the midnight thing. A lot
of guys will try the midnight thing. And you gotta remember,
lobsters are nocturnal animals and they forage at night.

Speaker 4 (42:55):
They walk around the reefs.

Speaker 32 (42:56):
At night, so you're not gonna find them in their
normal hiding spot.

Speaker 4 (43:00):
But when when you know it's.

Speaker 32 (43:03):
The daylight and they're back in the honey holes, that's
what you want to do. And and you know a
little pre scouting isn't a bad idea. But you know,
they move around. They got legs and they will they walk, okay,
so they get around. But we have been finding them
both on the second and third reef, so that's actually
a good sign.

Speaker 8 (43:22):
They're pretty thick out there.

Speaker 32 (43:23):
Right now, so we'll see what happens. I mean, this
is a late start of the miniseason, and again it's
just for recreational guys. The commercial guys are not allowed
out there. You know, they can't get their stuff. But
August the sixth, guess what we get back to our
normal routine of six per person per day.

Speaker 5 (43:43):
Uh.

Speaker 32 (43:43):
The commercial guys they put their traps down. They can
dive and get two hundred and fifty a day.

Speaker 4 (43:50):
So you know.

Speaker 2 (43:53):
There is having lobsters. You season open up. He's not
spearing somebody fish. So there's a lot of fish who
will have it feer right to the freaking brain hole
because he's busy snagging lobsters. Sleeping grouper have a chance
to actually survive, really not really spear job.

Speaker 32 (44:13):
And here's now the first day of miniseason. Typically I
don't bring my spear gun because you know, I want
to make sure we get our limit.

Speaker 4 (44:21):
It's sort of a thing, you know what I mean.

Speaker 32 (44:22):
We got we gotta have a limit, you know. But
but the second day, the second day, because there's antennae
and legs everywhere, all the fish are in dining on
the scraps.

Speaker 4 (44:34):
Okay, so you better bring.

Speaker 32 (44:37):
Because holy smokes, you're gonna get those muttons, those red
groupers that that love love.

Speaker 4 (44:45):
Everybody loves lobster buddy. Everybody loves loves.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
Eric listen, take you and your fat self and go
back to bed. Have a nice.

Speaker 32 (44:57):
I did gain a few pounds, but I did, Joe.

Speaker 4 (45:00):
I worked out. I worked out on the ship.

Speaker 8 (45:02):
I worked out.

Speaker 2 (45:04):
Who does that on a ship?

Speaker 4 (45:05):
Man?

Speaker 3 (45:05):
My man? Easy, I do to it.

Speaker 5 (45:12):
It was good.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
It's good.

Speaker 32 (45:15):
And I'm a regular La Fitness fundy right here in Deerfield.

Speaker 3 (45:18):
There we go. That's what I like.

Speaker 2 (45:20):

What do you want to ask?

Speaker 2 (53:25):

Speaker 2 (54:37):
Are you on the water, buddy or what are you doing?

Speaker 2 (54:43):
Ah, okay, that's all right.

Speaker 3 (54:46):
I was gonna say it sounds quiet where he's at,
and that yeah.

Speaker 22 (54:49):
Quiet right now. So there's a lot of weed out there.
It's a little windy, a little rough, so I'm going
for playing b going fresh water up to the lots
of Hatchie in some Padderborg and kayaking.

Speaker 3 (55:02):
Nice man, that fun.

Speaker 2 (55:03):
Well, Joe made a total just a total mess of
Boomer's great seat. Me, he's not called what do you

Speaker 3 (55:30):
There's gonna be three eighty five.

Speaker 2 (55:31):
You're a marketing genius.

Speaker 3 (55:32):
I did you know?

Speaker 2 (55:33):
It kind of comes to me if you watch the stream.
Still take it rub with it, Sean. So what's your
fishing people like this week? I'm sure you got up
more and once as you always do. For sure.

Speaker 22 (55:43):
Uh man, I have not been out this week at all,
to be honest. You know, I got my in the
town to visit, so I'm sure a good time. But
we are going to Lake Ida tomorrow to try it
out up there. It's been a while. We're gonna go
for some clowns and peacocks.

Speaker 3 (55:58):
But uh, there we go.

Speaker 22 (55:59):
Yeah, I mean it's been rough and there's been so
much weat out there and that people that have fish
are not happy about it. Yeah, you know that's a
great thing. Like, you know, we have so many different
fisheries here. We don't have to go out there and
get beat up and abuse. Just go fresh quarter in short.

Speaker 7 (56:15):
You know, dude, you could find a puddle here in
South Florida and potentially catch you know, like a sick
like a mine cicklet or something.

Speaker 3 (56:22):
I mean, it's it is amazing here, man, it really is.

Speaker 2 (56:26):
Well, you've thought about the pre fishing for Joe's tournament
August to ninth, the big finale, the big to do,
the big wahoo.

Speaker 22 (56:33):
Hopefully big wahoo, man, that would be That would be epic.
It's been ah, Joe, I know, Joe's want to talk
about it, but it's been years, years and years and
since somebody's.

Speaker 4 (56:43):
Caught a while five years.

Speaker 22 (56:45):
I think I caught one in I caught one recently.
I caught a big one in Erik Karts tournament that
he did a couple of years ago, but never in
Joe's tournament.

Speaker 9 (56:54):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (56:55):
Yeah, since Sean came on. Actually we have and uh
got the wahoo.

Speaker 2 (57:01):
He says, a bad luck trauma wall.

Speaker 3 (57:03):
What the heck that just hit me?

Speaker 2 (57:05):
This guy is a hardcore.

Speaker 3 (57:07):
What did you do, Sean?

Speaker 2 (57:08):
This should be flocking to him. Man, he's a man.

Speaker 22 (57:12):
If I started the curse, I guess the only way
to break it is with me.

Speaker 3 (57:16):
Yes, you got to catch the monster. Break the curse please.

Speaker 7 (57:21):
I mean, Eric, if you saw it, wasn't like we
were just getting like just any wahoo right before, Sean,
we were getting monster seventy pounders, sixty pounders, fifty pounders,
like consistently every single year for Part two.

Speaker 22 (57:37):
Yeah, that's how you used. You caught a wahoo and
you won.

Speaker 3 (57:41):
Yeah, well part two. If you wanted to win Part two,
you get a king and a wahoo and you'd win.

Speaker 4 (57:47):
Well.

Speaker 2 (57:47):
I have a break tip for Sean this time. Bring
your wife on your yack the marine biologist as she
is here. We go and she could give me the
exact thermal cliente depth and water current of exactly what
that wahoo is. Sean, you have a dead ringer right there, buddy. Okay,
I like it.

Speaker 4 (58:02):
I like it.

Speaker 22 (58:02):
I think they have an app for that nowadays too, Unfortunately.

Speaker 3 (58:06):
There's an app for everything.

Speaker 2 (58:07):
Replace your wife, No you can't.

Speaker 22 (58:11):
You can't replace my wife in that, but they haven't
app to tell you. I think it goes with the
sim reds, you know, to tell you where to fish
for different species, and it calculates all that data and
figures it out for you.

Speaker 2 (58:24):
Did you mention sim Red a great sponsor the show?

Speaker 9 (58:26):
I didn't.

Speaker 2 (58:27):
I did mention some red white well, Doug shot white,
well done, my brother.

Speaker 22 (58:31):
Yeah, I threw that in there.

Speaker 4 (58:32):
You like that.

Speaker 2 (58:33):
I like it a lot, just like you have family
in towns. So I guess you're just gonna be doing
that that family action thing, cooking the barbecue and whatever
else you get going on.

Speaker 22 (58:41):
But little a little paddle today, you know, paddle?

Speaker 2 (58:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (58:45):
Man, So your sister fish is right, oh.

Speaker 5 (58:48):
Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 22 (58:51):
You just finished fishing the flounder pounder last weekend up
in Delaware. Stuff.

Speaker 3 (58:54):
That's what I saw, Okay, flounder pound.

Speaker 22 (58:57):
Yeah, flounder pounder. Man, I like that, Joe, you should
call them. I'm gonna do it next year in the kayak.

Speaker 3 (59:04):
Oh, dude, that'd be fun.

Speaker 22 (59:06):
Man walking in that at one hundred and some dollars
to enter in like twenty thousand to wind.

Speaker 2 (59:11):
I want I want Shot to go on fish for hellon?

Speaker 22 (59:13):
Yeah, why not do it on the kayak?

Speaker 9 (59:15):
Right?

Speaker 3 (59:15):
Heck?

Speaker 2 (59:16):
Yeah, have you seen a big hall of it? Get
buddy chance Seawan to get like three hundred.

Speaker 22 (59:19):

him in Alaska right now. Last week damn man, Well listen.

Speaker 3 (59:28):

Speaker 7 (59:30):

in kayak Sean and they would go down these like
rivers almost and like super shallow, and.

Speaker 3 (59:42):
They would put their GoPros down and there would be
monster halibit. Wow, the water's like five foot deep.

Speaker 7 (59:48):
That's incredible, man, I mean I'm talking like five footers cool.

Speaker 2 (59:53):

Speaker 44 (01:05:27):
You know the first thing he did ask me, Joey said,
are you gonna fish that kayak tournament? I said, ah, Man,
you know, I get hyped up about it, but I
don't think I could at these days anymore. He said, well,
if you don't, there's a seat open.

Speaker 4 (01:05:40):
Here for you.

Speaker 3 (01:05:41):
Yeah, you're back.

Speaker 44 (01:05:42):
I'm gonna be out there the morning of the tournament,
mocking you on the beach, doing the countdown with the
big microphone.

Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (01:05:49):
Oh well, I can't wait to have you here. I mean,
I'll miss Joe like crazy, but he's he's just tied up,
big type, so I got that.

Speaker 3 (01:05:55):
It'll be fun.

Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
Actually, you've never had a captain in nineteen years, and
that's as a co host, really, so the pressures are
pressures on Benny Man, Benny will do great.

Speaker 3 (01:06:05):
Benny's good with this stuff. Yeah, oh yeah, that's good.

Speaker 2 (01:06:09):
Back on a fishing chat, Benny. What's going on with
the great Benny's fishing charters man.

Speaker 4 (01:06:14):
Yeah, yeah, we had that decent week.

Speaker 44 (01:06:15):
I mean we got out fishing a little bit here
and there. The weeds definitely put the damper on things
for us this week. They've just been making it real
hard to do certain methods of fishing that we like
to do this.

Speaker 4 (01:06:26):
Time of the year.

Speaker 44 (01:06:28):
But if you could grind through the weeds, I mean
there's still fish there, you know. The days the weeds
are not there, we tend to catch more right now,
just because we're able to fish a little more efficiently.
But they are slowing us down, making us work probably
triple just to do half of the catch, half of
what we could normally catch.

Speaker 4 (01:06:46):
You know.

Speaker 7 (01:06:47):
Yeah, man, how do you know how far down those
weeds are going? Like, are you getting a hold of
the way down on the on the on the planers
and stuff?

Speaker 44 (01:06:57):
Oh yeah, I thought you meant how far down south?
But yeah, the uh that's one thing I do like
about the planers. You tend to get a little planer,
a little bit of weeds on your main line. It'll
slide down just to your planers and it won't make
it out to your bait, which is you know, you
have another leader coming from your planer to your bait.
Usually that leader doesn't get the weeds on it. The

(01:07:18):
weeds will stop at the planer if you're dragging it
a little. There's a lot of times where the planer
will trip, pull some drag, you'll pull the fish up
and you'll have a fish at the end, and you'll
pull up the planer still with a ball of weeds
on it. So that tells me sometimes I will have
weeds on my planer some days and still get bit
you know.

Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
Yeah, yeah, you still run down riggers on your boat
at all, Benny, or those things have gone bye bye
back in the day.

Speaker 44 (01:07:44):
No downriggers these days are going to be more for
when you're slow trolling live baits, not when you're going
to be trolling, you know, not as much for trolling
at the regular speed strip baits, Bally, who, I won't
be using down riggers as much at that speed these days.
I'll be trolling more planers at that end. But the
down riggers are going to be good for you know,

(01:08:05):
if you're slow trolling a nice big blue runner goggle
eye something like that, getting him down deep on the planer,
bump the boat just in gear. I mean, I'm sorry,
the down rigger, Get the boat just in gear, and
you know, it's kind of like an outrigger. It'll snap
right off that clip and then it's you and the
fish hand in hand.

Speaker 2 (01:08:23):
Back in the day, Joey I first came out the
cannon was making down riggers back in the day. They
probably still are. And although they're kind of a coversome
of the pain of the ass, they do have some
definite cred you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:08:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:08:35):
Man.

Speaker 7 (01:08:36):
Anyway, So Benny, quick question, Benny, for someone that is
just getting into that, because I've actually talked to a
few guys that like, have never even done the planers
and they're wanting to get into it, how would you
set that up for them?

Speaker 3 (01:08:51):
Like what starting from rod all the way down to
the bait by buying one. Well, yeah, obviously, Eric, ye
have my main setup.

Speaker 44 (01:09:02):
I'm gonna run I'm gonna run a snap swivel.

Speaker 2 (01:09:04):
I'll make this quick.

Speaker 44 (01:09:05):
I'm gonna run a snapswovel right to my braid and
then on that snapswovel, I'm gonna clip on my planer.
From the planer, I'll have an eighty to one hundred
foot lead going to maybe five to ten feet a
floral carbon, and then i'll have my hook leader strip
or valley who from there. A lot of people these
days are using the bridle system where they're gonna skip

(01:09:27):
the part where the braid goes to the snap swivel,
and the braid's going to go right to a little
bridle that you can attach your planer to and then
when you catch a fish you can reel up to
the planer. You can take your planer off and reel
the rest of the line through your reel instead of
having a hand line it off the planer like you know,

(01:09:47):
like I still do it and people used to back
in the day. Now on the charters, it's a little
more user friendly to reel that line and reel the
fish all the way up to the rod tip.

Speaker 3 (01:09:56):
Awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:09:57):
How about a breakaway planter.

Speaker 44 (01:10:01):
When the fish hits it breaks away and you lose everything.
Not bad, but I mean whatever, I know what you're
talking about. You have your line going down, you run
the rubber band down and when it hits the rubber
band breaks off.

Speaker 2 (01:10:14):
Exactly, Joe, I know.

Speaker 7 (01:10:15):
That when I'll never forget talking to this guy Chad
who's swordfishes, and I went with them, you know, and
I didn't know that those some of those weights are
just sacrificial.

Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
And I'm like, dude, how much you paying for that weight?
He's like, yeah, man, this like eighty bucks.

Speaker 2 (01:10:31):
I actually make their own weights for sword fishing. They
used concrete. Actually, yeah, I mean make it.

Speaker 3 (01:10:37):
You might as well.

Speaker 2 (01:10:38):
They cut the cost down and make poor little balls
with concrete. Yeah, a little hook on on the top there, Yeah,
it works great. Crazy Now we bet you guys on
the water day, the whole crew with their fishing or what. No, No,
we got uh you know.

Speaker 44 (01:10:50):
Today's one of our first days off in a while.
We had a nice little stretch. We were on twenty
something days in a row out here.

Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
Damn.

Speaker 44 (01:10:58):
Yeah, the calendar slowed down on for us this weekend.
We got another trip tomorrow, We had an all day yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:11:04):
We're still moving along.

Speaker 44 (01:11:05):
Just have a little slow period right here.

Speaker 2 (01:11:08):
Mike Savage on Facebook where you blew up a knee
or something? Is he all right? Yeah.

Speaker 44 (01:11:13):
Yeah, he got some sort of infection in his knees.
So he's dealing with that right now, dealing with some uh,
you know, antibiotics, trying to figure out what's going on.

Speaker 3 (01:11:21):
Oh my gosh, have you guys seen that in the
news for Hillsboro Broward? What there's that? That infection or whatever.

Speaker 4 (01:11:33):
That people are eating bacteria.

Speaker 7 (01:11:34):
Yeah, the flesh eating bacteria killed like four people. Yes, dude,
for real killed Mike.

Speaker 4 (01:11:41):
That's it. I'm making sure he's all right.

Speaker 2 (01:11:43):
We can talk about that for a whole show man,
but we'll have to do at you're cutting.

Speaker 7 (01:11:47):
If you cut yourself or whatever right now in the ocean,
make sure that thing is coleen.

Speaker 2 (01:11:51):
If you cut your finger, just cut your finger off,
cut the leg off. Yeah, that told Mike yesterday. Looking
forward to August, knighte that put you in the hot Yeah,
that'll be fun. That'd be great, man, Have a great day, buddy.
Sounds good, guys.

Speaker 4 (01:12:05):
See you'll soon see you, buddy.

Speaker 2 (01:12:07):

How's FPL even read the meters?

Speaker 3 (01:16:49):
Is it a right here? Sorry?

Speaker 2 (01:16:52):
What I would have a thought there, but dont worries.
I'd rather hear you sing the answer my question.

Speaker 3 (01:16:58):
I don't care what anyone says.

Speaker 2 (01:17:00):
FB and L man they it's like, man, I don't

June one hits my bill like triples dude, My okay,
my bill.

Speaker 7 (01:17:13):
Was so much this month, and I don't understand how
it jumps up that high when everything's consistently the same. Yeah, yes,
I get it. The AC is working a little harder,
but still that kind of a one hundred and fifty
bucks harder. Yeah, come on, weird, give me a break.

Speaker 2 (01:17:30):
Vinny Sacks is currently pulling out the YB Normal out
of the dock, so our good friend Jeff says to
hang on for a minute. Yeah. Sure, I had a
crazy thought that I was trying to work today talk
to me. And I'm saying these billboards right for these
these malpractices turnings these.

Speaker 3 (01:17:42):
And it's all attorneys.

Speaker 2 (01:17:44):
Yeah, okay, it's all attorneys. And it says, oh, I
won eight hundred thousand dollars. A big smiling guy now thinking,
if you've got that kind of a money claim, you
must have been through some horrific accident where you just
got just totally whacked and beat to death? Right, yeah?
Would it be more effective enough smiling face to have
a guy that wheels here with like three broken arms
and you know, band aids run his head? Want it
make it more believable that a guy who's beaming over

(01:18:06):
winning a million dollars.

Speaker 7 (01:18:07):
Here's the advertising wise. The issue with that is you
want to be positive. Right Visually it doesn't look positive.

Speaker 2 (01:18:16):
It looks like a scam. It's like I want a lottery.
Didn't a freaking settlement?

Speaker 3 (01:18:20):
That's what they want? Oh man, I can win the lottery.
All I got to do is screw this things.

Speaker 2 (01:18:26):
Find it weird? Man? If you if you want to
settle it, you should be showing yourself all beat up on.

Speaker 3 (01:18:30):
The screen, not positive.

Speaker 2 (01:18:32):
You've got to be positive, that's right, because you're the
advertising genius. Of course you are. See if Vinnie's back
on the phone and we can stop rambling here, we
patted that term as well.

Speaker 3 (01:18:41):
Video Are you on the phone there, brother man?

Speaker 20 (01:18:44):
Yeah, man, I'm here.

Speaker 47 (01:18:45):
Good morning, guys.

Speaker 2 (01:18:46):
There you are. So the word you're just pulling out
of the dock, man, So how you doing it? Where
you're going?

Speaker 47 (01:18:53):
We're going fishing this morning. So he looks like it's
gonna be a little choppy out there, but I'll believe
a fish or bite.

Speaker 2 (01:19:00):
Hopefully the weeds aren't that bad. Weeds are terrible, man,
But I saw some post this week. You guys did
pretty darn good what I saw.

Speaker 47 (01:19:09):
We got a nice wahoo early in the week, stale
fish the other day, and the bottom fish and cut
some yellow tails. So it's been decent. But the seaweed, man,
it could be the uh could end your whole day
real quick. So hopefully today is not super terrible.

Speaker 20 (01:19:27):
But it's been that.

Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
I can't imagine how bad the beaches are, Joe. Think
just how fucked up the beaches are with that stuff.
Once the lands on shore, it's just a gigantic mess.

Speaker 3 (01:19:36):
That's what that explains. That bacteria because it's all that crap.

Speaker 2 (01:19:42):
Yeah, that could be the.

Speaker 3 (01:19:46):
Yeah man, So how do you get around it?

Speaker 2 (01:19:48):
Though? Vine you're out to the seaweed. Man, if you
just see just trying to go blow past it and
go further out, I mean, how do you how do
you handle that stuff?

Speaker 47 (01:19:55):
You really can't get away from it, you know. Lucky
for me, I'm driving the boat. I'm not on with
dagging weeds all day, so it doesn't bother me at all.
But the mad little temperamental this time of year.

Speaker 3 (01:20:07):
Yeah, there's nothing worse of being made in a boat.

Speaker 2 (01:20:09):
When you have out riggers out there and you got
baits dangling really really nice, all of a sudden you
fouled up with with seaweed and you gotta freaking go ahead,
and the seaweed off and your bounce of those bats
knocked down trying to deweed them, and yeah, the planers
get all clogged up and choked up. It's gonna be
a painty yash. Yes, I can imagine, dude, You know
what I mean.

Speaker 47 (01:20:32):
It's it's just never ending. Right now. It's the time
of year when the water gets warm, the seaweed tends
to get here. But early in the week we had
that west wind and that pushed it all off shore.
But now we got part south southeast and then it
right back. So yeah, hey, Viny, they like I said,
it ain't too bad.

Speaker 2 (01:20:50):
Vinnie.

Speaker 3 (01:20:50):
Did you get the wahoo on the down rigger or
how'd you get him?

Speaker 47 (01:20:54):
We caught it on the planer. It was super flat
early in the week, so you could control pretty quick.
There was no weed, so I guess we got the
good luck from you this week to get that course.

Speaker 2 (01:21:06):
Wow luck on that.

Speaker 3 (01:21:08):
And I keep saying, for some some reason, I can't
get that out of my head. Yeah, I keep saying.
It's just I'm so used to saying that.

Speaker 2 (01:21:15):
Later.

Speaker 3 (01:21:16):
Yeah, yeah, I know.

Speaker 2 (01:21:19):
Very cool. So any bottom bites a lot though you
dropped quite off.

Speaker 3 (01:21:22):
You got yellow tail, yellow tail, Yeah, you have.

Speaker 47 (01:21:25):
Some yellow tails. You know, the mangroves are still biting
pretty strong at night, and the muttons are still biting
on the shallow wrecks. There's been good north tide, so
you know, if you got enough lead and you got
good dait and you anchor up you know, like a
hundred foot, you probably get some nice muttons.

Speaker 2 (01:21:42):
Awesome, man, very very cool. So uh talk about your
booth for a second videy. I've never asked you maybe
have once on your boot you offer what a half day,
three quarter day full day?

Speaker 20 (01:21:54):
Yeah you got uh.

Speaker 47 (01:21:55):
We do a three hour beginner's trip for people that
have never went before and they just want to try
it without dishing out a bunch of money. You've got
a half day trip four hours, and you got three
quarter day six hours, and then eight hour full day
and then also a ten hour like offshore swordfish type.

Speaker 8 (01:22:14):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:22:17):
I will never book you for an all day, ten
hour swordfish trip because I told you, I told everybody
this audience right now, I won't swordfish again. I've done
it once, three four times, and I'm never gonna do
that trip where you just watch that damn rock. They
just got a batsy batsy batsyat. You might just sit
out there all day long wait for a damn swordfish.
Is not fishing to me, it's torture.

Speaker 3 (01:22:38):
But if you get that fish, it's so worth it.

Speaker 2 (01:22:42):
There you go back with a glass three quarter full
of joe. Okay, go out there some times sits it
for ten hours without a damn swordfish bite.

Speaker 3 (01:22:48):
So much fun, that is okay, Vinny, what do you think, man?

Speaker 47 (01:22:52):
I think if I call Eric and tell him they're
biting that he should go. But if he never gets
that call from me, don't do that trip.

Speaker 2 (01:23:00):
See that's a great Okay, I'll take you out on
vity if you call me. Tell me the comise he says,
are bidy, I'm on the YB Normal. Okay, I'll go.
I'll pay my full nut and go. All right, all right,
we'll see about that. Well, we'll find out just okay. Anyway,
all right, Vidy, So water conditions today are you look
like you said? Flat? Choppy?

Speaker 3 (01:23:20):
What's up there?

Speaker 47 (01:23:22):
It's a little choppy. It's like southeast at like ten
to fifteen. We've had that north current, so it's not
super sloppy. But if you're going in a small boat today,
you might be getting a little wet.

Speaker 2 (01:23:34):
All right, superman. We'll give us your contact number to
fish on the YB Normal please.

Speaker 4 (01:23:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 47 (01:23:40):
You can look us up on social media at YB
Normal Sport Fishing, or you can give us a call
direct at nine to five four five.

Speaker 2 (01:23:49):
I just see you, know I, Vidio. I'll give you
props on my Facebook Friday post also Instagram. You're all
over my Instagram post as well. So I definitely give
the YB Normal and you all the coverage I can,
my brother, because you're great on the show. You're Great edition.
Norm Beckoff was a tough couple of shoes to fill,
but you've done a great job. Yeah, there's only one
Norm and that's a sarcasm typs ten. And there's only

(01:24:10):
one Vinnie. That's true. He's a new man in the
hot seat man right. But thank you Vinny very much. Ben.
Great stuff is always brother, Avoid that weed, see you brother.

Speaker 47 (01:24:19):
All right, you guys appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (01:24:21):
Take care, very cool. Here's Johnny, Johnny Stabill, our great friend.
I wonder if Johnny's gonna be out today on the
water making wedding players. Joe, what's your gifts?

Speaker 3 (01:24:30):
I'm gonna say he's on the water today or he's
about to be.

Speaker 2 (01:24:33):
Let's find out, shall we. Let's do it. Good morning, buddy,
Good morning guys.

Speaker 11 (01:24:38):
I am currently catching bait right now. Oh getting ready
to pick up my charter here in about thirty minutes.
So we just blocked out the well on the boat
and uh, I'm soaking what because I've thrown that cast
net a right one too many times this morning.

Speaker 2 (01:24:56):
Man, I have not mastered a cast that I can't
throw it. I just can't get the spread bad.

Speaker 3 (01:25:01):
I can only do the little one. I can't do
the big one.

Speaker 2 (01:25:02):
I can't do idiom will take you true that total
total idiots. So if you blacked out with shad.

Speaker 11 (01:25:06):
Or what yeah, yeah, blacked out with threadfin shad. And
these are the perfect you know, these little shad the
size right now they're like a little skittle, you know,
and when they get bigger, they're more like a Snickers bar.

Speaker 3 (01:25:20):
So you really can't go wrong with either size. We
just adjust the hook size.

Speaker 11 (01:25:25):
For the size of the bait this time of the year,
so you know, we're gonna drop down and fish a
number for Gama gotsu octopus hook. And then when the
baits get bigger, we we go all lift like a
you know, a hole whopping jump to a side too.

Speaker 2 (01:25:39):
Octopus hook described to me a gamma got gamma gotsu
octapus hook. I'm not even sure what the hell that is.

Speaker 11 (01:25:48):
Okay, So all hook brands make octopus hooks. It's a
little you know, like jay hook, and it's got an
offset eye.

Speaker 3 (01:25:59):
So I like to smell.

Speaker 2 (01:26:02):
Yeah, there. I've seen those. Yeah, yeah, I see that, And.

Speaker 11 (01:26:06):
The style of the hook is called an octopus suck.
But the ones I'm using in particular are made by Gamakatsu.

Speaker 2 (01:26:14):
Well why would you be using those as opposed to
a regular jay hook or whatever?

Speaker 3 (01:26:19):
They just worked really well for me.

Speaker 11 (01:26:21):
I think the Snell gives you a much better like,
you know, like straight shot to the hook the shank
of the hook, and we get really good hooks.

Speaker 3 (01:26:29):
That's out of them.

Speaker 11 (01:26:31):
I've had plenty of people bring, you know, their nineteen
eighty six zebco with a circle hook or with a
wow with just a regular jay hook, and in the
the hookup ratio is not consistent with that where where
it's really consistent with that Snell hook?

Speaker 2 (01:26:49):
Right, So many folks have no idea what zek is, Joe,
because it's it's like there came up like forty five
years ago. But just google what a zebko really is
because I had one as a kid, and that was
the way you fish back then.

Speaker 3 (01:26:59):
Yeah, one as a kid as a kid.

Speaker 2 (01:27:01):
You push the button, a white button, the task hosted out.
He's got this plastic enclosure in case you hold the line.
It's just bizarre, man, But anyway. Wow, so you're targeting
what to the peacock clowns with the whole gamut or
what Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:27:15):
Pretty much anything that bite.

Speaker 11 (01:27:16):
This customer is a repeat customer of mine, and uh,
he just loves the variety that Lake Eyda offers.

Speaker 3 (01:27:23):
So you know, we've we've caught you know, basically.

Speaker 11 (01:27:27):
The lake eye of Grand Slam, which is a peacock,
a large mouth, a sunshine or you know, a hybrid bass,
and a clown knife fish. And then he also ended
up catching you know, like you know, a bunch of
mine cichlids, some crappy which is also on Lake ey
Ha to a lot of Florida people call them specs
and h and a whole bunch of variety.

Speaker 3 (01:27:49):
I mean, like like so much variety on this place.
So that's what we're doing today.

Speaker 11 (01:27:53):
We got big baits and small baits, so we're we're
pretty much ready for anything cool.

Speaker 2 (01:27:58):
I'll tell your story real quick for Johnny. I'll tell
you about my love of using you know, these suspending dirtbates.
And I mentioned you before that I have a technique
or I tie a Uni knot and I'll give it
like a quarter inch of loop play to the tie
ring on the lower sure that I'll do a couple
of cinch knots to keep that union dot from sliding down.

(01:28:19):
I've caught two peacock bass trying to bring them up
over my rail, and both of those fish broke off
right there at the uni knot where I tie the cinch.
So I being mister stupid and now going to get
a net and now start netting these fish as opposed
to hoisting them over the balcony. But I'll still not
stop using that technique with that little loop. Joe, Yeah,

(01:28:41):
I think here's that lower I mean, without that loop,
that lower head doesn't have half the play.

Speaker 3 (01:28:45):
Yeah, Johnny, it changes a lot, you agree.

Speaker 11 (01:28:48):
You know a lot of those manufacturers, depending on the brand,
will send that bait out with a splitter ring on
the front, and that is is your line tie, and
the split ring basically acts just like a loop, not
uh the jerk bay. As you know, Erica is one
of my absolute favorite presentations of all times.

Speaker 3 (01:29:10):
And if you're breaking that lock when you're hoisting.

Speaker 11 (01:29:13):
It up, you know you just got to bump up
to some heavier line. It just means you're catching some
bigger fish than you normally do.

Speaker 2 (01:29:20):
I'd like to give a chance. I'm fishing with ten
pound ten pound line, not Johnny, So I'd like to
give a little shot. Man. I'm trying to be a
fair guy.

Speaker 3 (01:29:26):
Johnny's right. I didn't think about that. They are a
lot of them already.

Speaker 7 (01:29:29):
Come pre you know they have that extra uh you
know piece for you to tie onto, which essentially would
be you know, you're you're well.

Speaker 2 (01:29:38):
These lures came from Timu As you can imagine how
much they're worth.

Speaker 3 (01:29:42):
So they just got one shot.

Speaker 2 (01:29:44):
I had like a box committed like five thousand lures. Wow,
so I lose, Well, I got another nine thousand backups. Geez. Anyway,
I know you got a charter to go to Johnny.
Your probably hands are tie mess. Do what you do man?

Speaker 3 (01:29:56):

Speaker 2 (01:36:17):
Yes, well probably you probably have thought about it.

Speaker 3 (01:36:20):
So she's there. What are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (01:36:22):
She's actually there? Okay, my bad. I should have known.
So that's all one thing coming up in I think August, right,
Destination Dive is coming back. Oh, next month?

Speaker 9 (01:36:31):
I think, yeah, next month at this point.

Speaker 3 (01:36:34):
That's good.

Speaker 9 (01:36:35):
Yeah, August tenth.

Speaker 50 (01:36:36):
I believe it's the Sunday mornings at eight am.

Speaker 24 (01:36:39):

Speaker 50 (01:36:42):
So August tenth is the season premiere.

Speaker 2 (01:36:46):
So so right after my event, you can sit down

What what do you guys actually doing in that dive show?

Speaker 50 (01:36:55):
That's gonna be the key Largo episode, So we'll talk
about some of the reef. We'll talk about some of
the innovative things that people are doing in around Largo
or the oceans and the reefs.

Speaker 5 (01:37:09):
We got some pretty cool stories out of so outstanding.

Speaker 2 (01:37:12):
Yeah, I can't wait to watch the series. It's another
great year coming up.

Speaker 49 (01:37:16):
Well.

Speaker 2 (01:37:16):

the keys we go?

Speaker 2 (01:37:29):

pace down by about ninety miles an hour. I think
he's ready to go. I love it, Skip, Brady, you

Speaker 47 (01:37:45):
He thanks you very much to stay cool.

Speaker 17 (01:37:50):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:37:50):

Speaker 3 (01:37:55):

Speaker 2 (01:37:57):
That was Skip you there, buddy?

Speaker 21 (01:38:00):
Yeah, I'm here. Good morning. What's going on?

Speaker 33 (01:38:02):
Better?

Speaker 3 (01:38:03):
Hey? Skip? Hey, Skip?

Speaker 2 (01:38:05):
Talk about life man? You little Margarita the last night
we chatted for a minute. You're back doing your things.

Speaker 24 (01:38:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 21 (01:38:12):
We have a water and hole on her Friday night
at will Harbor, which I worked at it for fifty
five years called the sand Barbie.

Speaker 20 (01:38:18):
Hang around up there.

Speaker 21 (01:38:19):
And today is one month to the day I fell
off the bridge out in the Papa. While I think
about it today, I'm not I just can't go at.
But this will be the last week. Next week I'm
gonna be on the water.

Speaker 6 (01:38:28):
Fully.

Speaker 21 (01:38:29):
We got the books so well, and I'm sure I
missed being out there with the guys. I bring a
deckcan along. His name is Tyler and he's my guy.
He's my go to guy if we had to do
anything physical, like we probably don't. We have an anchor
poller out and pushes the ache and all. But he
cleans the boat and George and I, Brian and I.
He's the other owner. We cleaned the fishure the other day.
I got a great program going right.

Speaker 2 (01:38:51):
All right, right, so what's biting the keys? What's what's
a happy bike?

Speaker 32 (01:38:54):
All right?

Speaker 4 (01:38:54):
Well, here we go.

Speaker 21 (01:38:55):
I'll tell you what. The guys, I'm out there. Nothing,
I'm out there, but I checked every day with everybody.
And there's a strong northeast current, and you got a
breeze down in the Keys. If you got a breeze
out of the east against a strong current, you got
you got some seas out there. Most of the guys
I talked to her. I live on the base side.
I don't realize this so much. But I get down
the document and they say, oh skip, what a miserable day.
Say what do you mean miserable? Well, first I'm going

(01:39:16):
to tear the fishing. There's the mi he they were
out there. I talked about the just keepers, the twenty
one to twenty two inches. With that out there, the
fisher are eighteen and nineteen there there. That's the bad news.
The good news is or eighteen or nineteen about another
two three weeks or the month they're gonna make their turn.
We're gonna have some great mining fishing gaff as we
call them five to ten pound fishing out there. But
right now they're taking a beating out there. I heard

(01:39:38):
Wayne Kahan, now a long time friend of mine, talking about, Hey,
why don't they pop the kites out and do that? Well,
you know in the keys here, we don't have that condition.
Government cuts got they got that. That's edge always out there.
They stuff there for a month of the Pepsicle Cocola company.
One time they booked me to take their boat up there.
But anyway, you know, we have a different condition down here.
The kites we put them away, And I said, I

(01:39:59):
was like this guy doing Miami wide, because you got
to go offshore and look for the money because if
you don't, if you get out the same you're kite
fishing and nothing. You catch one or two whatever, and
then all of a sudden, about twenty and the keys
twenty twenty five miles out. It's not unusual to fish
for us and all of a sudden there's a beautiful
weed line, and everybody's still in the box. And here
it is twelve one o'clock when they discover that weed line,

(01:40:20):
and he'll sit there with the kites out and it
doesn't make for good. So everybody's got to keep everybody honest.
You just find a magical piece of debris out there,
that's all it takes. Sometimes, Well you find that edge
out there twenty miles twenty five miles and yeah, here
you are on the reef. So you know that's why
we don't pop the kites at this time.

Speaker 2 (01:40:36):
Here interesting, So I want to ask them, Joe, we
have a weed problem up your skipping, Dave Broward, what's
Paul Beach?

Speaker 3 (01:40:43):
The weeds or guys? And weed is just bat sameely,
thick and bad.

Speaker 2 (01:40:46):
You see it out on the keys at all.

Speaker 21 (01:40:49):
Yeah, that's right, same thing. And get a west breeze
and blows it off shore, and the east breeze and
blows back on show. We've been living with that for
quite a few years now.

Speaker 2 (01:40:56):
Eric.

Speaker 21 (01:40:56):
It's not a surprise. In fact, I'm surprised somebody hasn't
invented the machine down for the beautiful beautiful hotels we
have on the water that the machine that doesn't scoop
all that stuff up be good. Boy, it has quite
a note on us.

Speaker 5 (01:41:08):
One.

Speaker 21 (01:41:09):
You know, right outside of the Cheecha the island there
and you can you know, you can smell they get
beautiful beaches. But boy, it's been terrible and there's not
much you can do about it. It's part of what
we have to put up with it. I hear the
boys in Miami can go up there where you talking
about the palm beaches and all saying the same things.
It's all the stuff that's here that's going there, and
they go and they disappeared between here and up there.

(01:41:29):
I guarantee you that.

Speaker 3 (01:41:30):
Hey, hey guys, sorry Joe, Hey skip. How about the
tuna byte? How's that same thing?

Speaker 4 (01:41:35):
Asking?

Speaker 2 (01:41:36):
Yeah, yeah, really good, real good man.

Speaker 21 (01:41:37):
Well, I'll tell you what the tuna bite. First off,
we're not stopping and catching too much live bait because
you know, you don't want to get behind the fleet
too far. You got thirty forty boats right now today
this Saturday's probably thirty or forty boats out in front
of an adult charters, maybe fifteen or twenty charters. Another
twenty go fast boat with three or four and eighteen
inches on and they're all off sure and if you

(01:41:58):
if you don't get going with them, then you're going
to be out of the loop if there's such a thing.
And there's not a loop some days unfortunately. But no,
we haven't done much with a tuna. If we catch
any tune of their throwbacks, I called throw that allowed
ten for boat. I guess now they change the rules
since I've been retired, But I'll tell you, and those
fish that catch you they footballs, and they should change
the rules on out a little bit too. I'm for
having the largest side they don't have a size limit

(01:42:20):
on them, and then I'm for having that change too.
But anyway, now I don't hear anything about the tuna.
I don't know about the wild who's too much weed
to keep a downrod down? Or you want to call
it a plane, or you can do that. You can
get away with some clear water. But it's been tough
for that. Mostly he mostly small, but mostly looking forward
to a great great August and up in September, and
that's when we get good publicity in the Keys, and

(01:42:41):
we got people booking the boat to catch those keep
them Aye.

Speaker 2 (01:42:44):
Awesome, SI, have you been up for a whole long time.
I be fishing the Keys since my dad had a
house out at Aliborada, back when I was like five
years old through fifteen, go every summer down Aliborada. And
you ever reflect back in the days when you know,
before all the T shirt stands popped up and they
built knows every four or five feet, back when the
Keys is actually a getaway to a very kind of

(01:43:05):
an ancient territory. It was just mang Rose and a
two lane road and it was great back then.

Speaker 21 (01:43:12):
I'm curious, Well, you know, he can't turn the clock
back anymore. I know what you're saying, and there's nobody
around here that can remember more of that and the
guide business than me. All my friends that are guides
that are older than me, unfortunately their own. But anyway,
I'm the last one standing. Way comes back to that,
I started in sixty four, and I can relate to
what you're saying. But anyway, you know, you can't turn

(01:43:33):
the clock back, and it is what it is, and
you go with it. That's all you go with it.

Speaker 2 (01:43:37):
Bottom line, I've come nostalgic now then I just reflect
back to the days.

Speaker 21 (01:43:41):
Oh yeah, I can see why. Yeah you think I saw.

Speaker 2 (01:43:44):
Him as you know, they can won't see the keys
when I saw him as a kid. Right, It's basically progress.

Speaker 7 (01:43:50):
And that's the way it is, Joe, My grandma and
grandpa every year would they had a time share of
calusive cove.

Speaker 4 (01:43:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:43:57):
Yeah, And seeing that like the old pitch and stuff, Uh,
it looked like truly amazing.

Speaker 3 (01:44:04):
They're like nobody there.

Speaker 2 (01:44:05):
So primitive back in the day. Yeah, so great. You're
talking about your health, man, How you healing up, buddy?

Speaker 21 (01:44:11):
No, I'm mop man, I'm pumped. I'm pumped up. Ere
I had a couple of coffee, had that. Today is
thirty days since it went down, And I can't wait
to get back down the water with my friends out there,
my clients and out they're just hanging around the document
fifty five fifty five years down there in the marina. Man,
I'm out of a will harbor. I'm over now with
it called three waters or a holiday aisle whatever they
call it. But anyway, that's whoever met with a popper

(01:44:33):
and now, hey, George, George clock went up to that
I fact and he said he they treat him like
a movie star. I guess a lot of people used
to watch them on TV, so he had a good time.
He come back with a lot of good stuff. I
tell you there's a lot of good things where put
his way for the popper, So I'm very happy about
that too.

Speaker 2 (01:44:48):
Awesome, Skip, I'm glad're feeling better. Man. Thanks for a
great reporters always, Buddy, and thanks Skip, dude.

Speaker 3 (01:44:52):
You do what you're doing.

Speaker 27 (01:44:53):
Man.

You're on board the Nautical Ventures weekly Fisherman show powered
by Mercury Marine. Go boldly with legendary fishermen. Aaron Brandon,
an extreme angler. Joehan seems to take Gray Craig up
with a toy chest. Sir, please, and here comes Cad Haley.

Speaker 51 (01:50:10):
I can't believe you haven't heard of the boat Hd
Arrow Native inflatable board. Hi, my name is Kat Haley,
and work out to be best friends and take these
out together. A paddle board you can take in just
a backpack that blows up to eleven half feet. Yes, please,
let's check out this board together. First off, this inflatable

(01:50:31):
board is super stable, perfect for all skill set levels.
A huge pert is how lightweight the boat hd arrow
board is and as a petite girl, I can carry
it on my own comfortably. That a low is one
thousand percent my favorite part. It's a game changer being
able to take a beautiful board in a backpack and

(01:50:51):
go for an adventure whenever you want. You can set
the whole thing up in under five minutes. The fin
detaches and slide right on, no screws, tools, or stress.
This board weighs thirty pounds and can hold up to
three hundred and fifty pounds. With latches all over this board,
you can attack other boat rod holders and accessories. It

(01:51:15):
turns into your go to fishing board. You can even
throw your catches into the boat Kola cooler that attaches
to the latches when the backpack is loaded up. It
weighs a maximum of forty eight pounds. It's super easy
to deeplate, roll up and toss in the bag. I
personally am a huge fan of the bag that comes
with the boat hd Arrow Native Inflatable Board because it

(01:51:37):
actually fits into this bag the board. I've seen other
boards that do not fit properly, but this one.

Speaker 9 (01:51:44):
Is easy easy.

Speaker 51 (01:51:46):
You can check out the boat hd Arrow Native Inflatable
Board add on Nautical Ventures Water Sports Stories located in
Fort Lauderdale and North Palm Beach. I'm kat Aley and
I cannot wait to hang out with you next Saturday.
On the Weekly Fisherman show Fox Sports ninety am.

Speaker 2 (01:52:03):
I'd say it was a great toy, but that music
track was about annoying as having my nails across a chalkboard.
I mean, man, I talked to Ken about redoing that
music track. Man, that was annoying as hell, but very cool.
Prize on a stringer saying hi to Marcella Baxters watching

Speaker 3 (01:52:53):

Speaker 7 (01:52:54):
We got some great raffle prizes this year. Nautical Ventures
for this one is donating one of those jet pack
things for underwater hold on to it, you know what
I'm saying. Just I forget the name of it, but
it is awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:53:11):
No, it's like a fifteen thousand dollars toy.

Speaker 7 (01:53:13):
It's like, yeah, like an underwater jet things a little
different sea, Yeah, I think so, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:53:19):
But yeah, No, we got some killer prizes.

Speaker 7 (01:53:21):
We got a whole plefor of yetti coolers, uh, and
a whole bunch of other great stuff penn reels, combo
rodden reels, just some great stuff in our raffle. And
if you're interested, you can go to Extreme kayakfishion dot
com and you can register or you can get all

Speaker 2 (01:53:40):
Could the average Joe go down there with a yak,
basic yak joe, not all the bells and whistles, not
the big you know, sim red rigged thing without all
the cool stuff that most guys have. I have a chance.

Speaker 3 (01:53:53):
Happens all the time.

Speaker 2 (01:53:55):
Just a really basic rig yak, guy's got no experience,
his first time fishing to tournament up, has a shot
of winning this thing, no kidding.

Speaker 3 (01:54:03):
Oh yeah, and a good shot, A good shot.

Speaker 5 (01:54:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:54:05):
Have you had those of the past win a lot? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (01:54:09):
Oh yeah, even like the guys from Oklahoma, a landlocked state,
won our salefish tournament.

Speaker 3 (01:54:15):
Not just won it, they got second and first.

Speaker 2 (01:54:18):
These guys are like landlock come to have from Oklahoma,
They've never fished, God for salefish. Back into the water
there and they walk off with three thousand dollars. There Joey,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (01:54:26):
You know there you go.

Speaker 7 (01:54:27):
So I would say anyone's got a shot as long
as you're someone that has fished before and no fishing,
and you got a shot.

Speaker 2 (01:54:36):
Great wrap up, Joy a terrific show man as always. Yeah,
thank you, partner of crime. I appreciate it very much.
