Speaker 3 (01:12):
Speaking of fishing, the last last Sunday. This time it
was actually after the shelf. Yeah shows on Saturday Sunday.
I was off okay with my sons, went fishing for
dolphin on Captain Dean Panos's double D charters.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Nice and we looked up, Oh look at.

Speaker 6 (01:30):
Seabo you got one nice one too.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
There comes a video. It's cute.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Are you guys like able to talk for like ten
seconds without using an f bomb on a boat when
you're fishing?

Speaker 6 (01:47):
Is it?

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Is it possible?

Speaker 7 (01:48):
Claw?

Speaker 3 (01:49):
They fly like the water runs, man, when you're fishing,
you though, they just flat to your face, you know
what I mean?

Speaker 2 (01:54):
You got some gaffers. We got some gaffers, which is unusual. Yeah, mahi.
Most of them were swingers.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
We had like fifteen keepers joint okay, but probably three
were gaffers, which is kind of unusual normally.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
You know, hey, that's a good day.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
We have a picture of when you guys landed with
all your keepers there.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Oh, very nice. He was always on point man, you know,
I mean boom man. So I'm behind. Fishing was great
and great. Captain Dean with his mate Billy, did a
great job and it was worth every penny we paid,
so like.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
Talk about the day a little bit, like how did
it start? Like was it just fishing all day?

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Seven am from Keystone Point Marina and got off shore
and Dean put that CV and with mercuries by the way,
trip merks on the back. I'm out of that sponsor,
sponsor plug yep, and we hauled uy to the south,
went out twelve hundred feet of water and he spotted birds.
Boom man under it. Huh yep, spotted birds. We were
twelve miles off shore, and they started slamming any debris anything,

(02:49):
No debris man, very little sargasm either, just a couple
of working birds. And we trolled by him and mag
nothing actually hit the outriggers.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
By the way. We got to pull up to him,
we started thought it was live pilters out to him
right and they started just going crazy. Okay, said like
four or five spots. Call it a day. By one
we were done, nice man and.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Dean to the ridge of filing those suckers up, and
we had really I gave all my guys a work
called big.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Bag of fish. Oh you're a giver. I'm a giver.
I'd give you a bag, but I wouldn't see you
for a week and you know I frozen fish. Do
you okay? Great, let's bring our first captain. Way, last question?
Really yeah, sure, Joey. Did how deep your sons went? Right? Yes? Okay?
Did you land anything or did you just no?

Speaker 3 (03:29):
Actually I caught two. I put my phone down. Actually,
make goes Eric, put your phone down, grabs a rod.
He was directing traffic. Like, put the phone down, you idiot.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
You know what, though, I respect that that's a dad thing.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
I like that you want to see your kids all
land their fish have a good day.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
I like that they could tick top of me for
having that phone around, like dad, put your phone away.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
By the way, I want to compliment you on the
first time ever getting the proper format video in a
few years.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
But you know said, I thought about that the entire
time of this trip. I said, turn night phone in
sideways for Steven and I did. Man, if that got
it worked that well, Okay, he's got in your head,
he's gotten in my head.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
Took a few years. But you said a congratulation tofting.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Here the man, dude, bro, thank you very much. Let's
pay their first captain on, shall we, sup?

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Yeah, let's do it. Bring it the man Joey.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
Come on, do you think dude, his name is Jim
bu Hey, he's Captain Jim.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Wow, he's Jim.

Speaker 8 (04:24):
Back to Flipper.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Back Hope, back to Jim.

Speaker 8 (04:30):
Sorry, buddy boy, Yeah, I'm not sure that's Flipper Cope.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
So I confused nowadays.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
I can't control my co host here, man, Sorry about that, brother.
Good morning you, buddy boy.

Speaker 8 (04:41):
Good morning. I'm great, Thank you outstanding.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
So I heard you're on the Florida Inside of Fishing
Report doing your thing last night.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Is that right?

Speaker 8 (04:50):
That's correct.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
I had to go with the katter Rick Murphy, great report,
bang and stuff as usual.

Speaker 8 (04:56):
Always come on, yeah, come on, man, slack, I'm gonna
get it done here.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
I'll think Rick Murphy a pair of like platform flip flops.
Oh boy boy, just a little more height over the guttle.

Speaker 8 (05:11):
You can maybe give them some of your hair.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
As Well's little problem with eyeballs reaching over the guttles.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
But anyways, all other story. So he's tall.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
He's not very tall though. Anyway, Jimbo, welcome back to
the show, my friend. How's the flyer doing. What's biting?
Buddy boy?

Speaker 8 (05:26):
The flyer is still floating at least it was when
I left yesterday afternoon. That's a good thing. Earlier in
the week we had some good dolphin fishing, just like
you witnessed.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Over the weekend, yes, sir.

Speaker 8 (05:39):
And then on Wednesday we had a west wind with
maybe associated with that hurricane that was out there. I
have no clue, and there's still dolphin out there, but
it hasn't been as good as it was.

Speaker 9 (05:52):
Now.

Speaker 8 (05:53):
Today's another story. We were out yesterday. I made it
about fifteen miles off shore. We found a big bamboo
log floating. I figured, oh man, this is the jackpot.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (06:05):
We caught five keepers off of it, nothing huge, but
some decent ones. And then we chase some birds around,
didn't catch any and then after the morning we never
even saw another bird. We found a few weed patches.
We ended up with ten keepers yesterday. Not terrible, but
not great because we covered a lot of ground.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
It's pretty good.

Speaker 8 (06:27):
Yeah, no, no, listen, we've done a lot worse, so
it's not bad by any means, but it's not as
good as it was over the weekend and into like
Monday Tuesday. But yes, today is another day. We've got
a little dolphin tournament that we're fishing today. I believe
there's twenty boats in it, and it's the three largest

(06:49):
fish combined for first place. So that's our plan today.
I'm going to run right back out there. We were
roughly from Government Cut yesterday, about fifteen miles off shore.
I'm running out a little further south this morning. I'm
going on my Contender bay boat and I'm gonna go
out through Soldiers Ski, so we'll be south of Folly Light,

(07:11):
but I'm gonna try. I'm planning on heading out to
that same area and start looking. Earlier in the week
a lot of birds. No birds yesterday or the day before,
but whatever, the pattern changed. But that's another story today.
So whatever binocular is ready looking scanning the horizon, looking
for birds and floating debris, you're gonna have some live
bait and hopefully catch three, three bigger ones than anybody else.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
On my trip last Sunday, I was talking to Dean
about you, said the fact that I talked to Jim
Bow this week. Yeah, And he mentioned that his boat
was pulling closer to Dean's boat, and I said, I
think Jimbo told me he's shadowing you and the Dane
was like, off on, seriously, f bomb City, What.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Is he talking about? I don't get anywhere near that
guy's boat. We don't get near each other. Here we
go sol beat bumping a bumping a beat man. He
was like going crazy.

Speaker 8 (08:06):
Eric stirn up the pot there.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Yeah, I know, man, I'm on, That's what I do, man, Eric. Anyway,
such a must.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
So when you think guys said on short day should
still have m here, change their game play.

Speaker 8 (08:20):
Yeah, I still think that's our best best bet out
there the edge. I did talk to some guys carolling
the plans yesterday. They had no king bites, but they
had a fair amount of beanitas, So that doesn't mean
there's not a king there. They just didn't happen to
catch any but the water. At least what I saw

(08:41):
was real green along the edge yesterday. Now they could
be blue in there today. Who the heck knows. Another
report I got now, I don't know how accurate it
is or what size. The hump out off of Government Cut,
what we call the Miami Hump. There's been some blacks
and tunas on it, but typically they're not big ones.

(09:02):
They're more football size. And also typically the sharks are
ferocious out at that spot, especially when the tuna's there
there because of all the food's there. But they have
been catching some tunas out there. I personally haven't done it,
but I've noticed a few boats out there, and I
got some reports that they have been catching a few.
So that's another option, especially if you can find some

(09:25):
pilchers or get a well full of baits to live
chump with.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
Is that they're they're they're still getting some big jumbo
blackfin like here and there, like big ones.

Speaker 8 (09:38):
Yeah, it's almost become a year round deal. Where we
used to only see them in April and May, and
now we don't see them as often off of April
and May. But it's not uncommon to hear of a
big one caught where you used to never hear a
big one caught off the season.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Right going into him, Yeah you know, I'll take it, yeah,
heck yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
Say what else he takes between the fishing trips. Jimbo's
an avid diver. Yeah, he's got a commercial diving license,
and he goes, I gets these bugs by the hundreds,
oh boy, and sells are like nine dollars a pound.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
It's insane, man.

Speaker 8 (10:15):
Thanks a lot. Eric, Now I'm gonna have five thousand
guys following me, well, five.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
Thousand more following me, and the I R S coming
after you as well.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
There you gors.

Speaker 8 (10:31):
You know at ninety dollars a pound sounds great.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Well just put the hammer it out, Jim and out
run up. Okay, just you figured out you're pretty stealthy.

Speaker 8 (10:39):
Yeah, well Thomas Flyers are pretty obvious best. So I'm
sitting out there, but it's all right.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
All right, but have a great weekd jib wait real
quick quick, of course you're Joe Jim Jim who reports.

Speaker 8 (10:52):
I knew that was coming.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
I did like a brick inside the head man. What's going?

Speaker 8 (10:57):
Yeah, so very one of the boats on I think
it might have been Tuesday or Wednesday, he found a
big log floating out there, and he caught some smaller
ones under the log. I haven't heard of any better
sized ones being caught though, other than on the floaters.
All right, very cool, So yes, there's always a chance

(11:19):
in the wall. Who And we got the full moon
coming up in about a week and a half I think,
and maybe two weeks. And you know, the full moon
of September is is recognized as one of the best
times to catch you try to catch a wall who
at least so it should should get a little better

(11:39):
working up to that full moon, at least.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
A further Joe, you have thought even later than usual.
I think we're I think we're good.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
A good start. Yeah, we're done. It's a good start.
Got it all cover? Okay? Yeah, Jim, We'll have a
great weekend. Dude. Thanks first in line man. We appreciate it, buddy.

Speaker 10 (11:58):
You got it.

Speaker 8 (11:59):
Guys, good luck everybody.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
All right, So if you're bright of the show, we
have a freshwater guy's coming up here, diving guys coming
up on a program everything. We have a star by
bucket the stour to give away, so we do want
to star by bucket Sean Roll's hardcore guy that he
is coming up later on this hour. So we'll take
a little break, come back and get it's cranking even higher?

Speaker 2 (12:15):

was that? That's right here? Baby? Six twelve? Fox Sports

Speaker 2 (16:45):
Yes he was the one, the only eight times.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
Eight times, Buddy Corey Nowakowski. I saw this week Joe
catching largemouth slobs. You see that phone It always does. God,
this guy's just I don't know what spots it goes
to beast a large mouth I know doesn't even usually
Eric Brandon trick of holding him way out. He's like right, body,
They're like right, he's like that here, like a real

(17:08):

I wouldn't think you'd be a scammer.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
More like a fraud, more like a just call it
out like the Steve a fraud, okay, a blatant fraud.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Shall we there's Steven? Hello there, cori ol buddy, how
you doing? Mankry?

Speaker 10 (17:28):
I am doing great. How are you guys doing?

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Tolerating each other? For sure? That's for dark stir like normal.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
But anyway, I saw you're large about post man. It
was some big slabs you caught, your buddy.

Speaker 10 (17:39):
Wow, Yeah, that was That was one heck of a day.
I have to say. We we uh, I got that one.
It was nine and I got an eight and a half. Yeah,
I got you got a six. We got a couple
of other six pounders and we didn't catch it. We
didn't catch a lot of fish that day. But size

(17:59):
was there, that was for sure.

Speaker 8 (18:00):
It was.

Speaker 10 (18:01):
It was a big fish, that's for sure.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Where were they caught, like, like oh or down here?
Everglades whereabuts No, it's Everglades. We were just south of.

Speaker 10 (18:10):
Okahobe and we were It's a reservoir that I that
I fished quite a bit, sixteen thousand acres and uh,
it's uh, you know, it's all John Bowden Kayak. You know,
it can only can't put any big boats in it,
but it's open to the public.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
But cools.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Yes, sir, when you're fishing in the Everglades and you've
got Everglades fires, does it make the fishing hotter?

Speaker 10 (18:38):
Well, you know it it's yeah, I mean it well,
I will say it's it's the water's low and it's
the reason that's burning up out there. So that doesn't
make the fishing on fire out there when the water's low,
and it's what's still going on in a lot of places.
So that's helping the bike, so it does. But yeah,

(18:59):
it was. It was really good out there. I mean,
we we were catching them mostly was a deep bight.
We were getting some on top water, but the big
like twelve inch worms we were using just you know,
working ledges and stuff. That was that was the really
the key. We had some pretty big bull ups on
top water. But for some reason those fish just did
not grab on. I don't know why it was. I

(19:20):
mean some of those fish were not small, so how
they missed?

Speaker 2 (19:25):
There's the laugh of the worms. Worms.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
So Cory, you don't ever bring live bait or candy
on your boat, do you, my friend?

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Right?

Speaker 10 (19:33):
Yeah, no candy, No candy.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Joe, Yeah, I got your candy. Candy worms. He's back
with the spider bugget again.

Speaker 5 (19:48):
Yeah, get your candy worm?

Speaker 2 (19:52):
Yeah, thank you? Sorry?

Speaker 10 (19:57):
What was what was interesting? We we were we were
seeing fish blowing up on big shad, like thread fish shad. Yeah,
so we were. We were using some crank baits too,
like old school like poli shad wraps. We were getting
fish on that as well. But yeah, it was it
was a big fish. But I mean, I'm out here
again today, so we're gonna see if you know, we

(20:18):
can get something even close to that. Do any you
know or you know, something close to that. But I
also the we also got clown knife fish a few
times this week. That wasn't too bad. That was all
that was all artificial. So that was a bit of
a pain. That was a bit smpatience, But we we

(20:42):
we caught, we got him up to like seven and
a half pounds, So that wasn't too bad.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
What's it like to fight an eight or ten pound
large about beast? I want to cut swallows show like
it may be a pounder two pounds and kind of
a whippy. They don't really put a much fight.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Yeah, it depends on.

Speaker 20 (20:57):
You.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Yeah, it came up. It really depend they don't fight.

Speaker 10 (21:01):
Yeah, it really depends on the fish though, because if
they're like skinny, if you've got like a really skinny
like fish, they don't fight very hard. They're just they
got nothing to them. But these fishes I caught, you
know this past week. Those fish were fat and thick,
and those fish were fighting pretty good for But I've
had them, let's say you they I've had bass that

(21:23):
size fight just as hard as snakehead.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
Wow. Man, it depends.

Speaker 10 (21:28):
It depends on the fish. And most of the time,
you know, snakehead or peacock's gonna fight harder in a
large amount. But I have to say the bass that
big will they will fight. They're they're fun tea.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
I've ever used a sixteen inch warm okay, Joe, have
you ever thought one that big?

Speaker 6 (21:45):
Now?

Speaker 2 (21:46):
How do you actually work that warm?

Speaker 3 (21:48):
Man, you like pull it, jigt let it drop down
to the bottom, or loop it up and down.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
How do you run that thing? Man?

Speaker 10 (21:55):
So from what we were doing, like with the now,
we weren't my dad was even sixteen, and we got
a few on that, but we didn't get as many
like a twelve inch, but we were using a Texas rig.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
We're using a.

Speaker 10 (22:06):
Wait and usually what you can do with that is
you can bump it off the bottom, like if you
just work it real slow, it's a slow presentation, or
if you like bump it off, if you bump it
off a rock like one of the eight and a half,
they caught bounce, so you hit the rock and the
minute you pulled it off the rock, when it hit,
the fish hit it immediately right after that. And a

(22:27):
lot of times it's sent reaction. But when you're using
the sixteen inch one, sometimes you work it on top
so you're or what you do is you let it
naturally fall. You Let's say you know you're working it
and you just let it fall and it falls real slow,
and that fall is when they hit. But you got
to kind of see what they're doing because there's sometimes
you'll kind of I'll twitch it, you know, two or

(22:49):
three times and let it fall, and then twitch it
two or three times or four times, you know, change
it up and then let it fall. You got to
kind of see what the fish want. And once you
can kick up the pattern, then you know, you keep
you know, you keep doing that same you know presentation.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
Do you make but weedless? Accordy, you're turning to hook
inside the worm as well?

Speaker 2 (23:09):
Yeah you do.

Speaker 10 (23:10):
Yeah, it's yeah, it's just yeah inside make it weedless.
And uh, you know a lot of times they're not
super sick worms, so you could, you know, you don't
have to bring the hook out. You can actually bury
it into the baity.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
It's a while for a guy who usually has a
short worm to get used to the working the longer worm.

Speaker 10 (23:32):
My god, Gray, I will say the short the short
ones to work too. They work pretty good too at times. Definitely.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
It's not the size of your warm Okay, that works
is how you work it.

Speaker 8 (23:43):
Now.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
Well, you're the one asking about twelve and sixty worms here,
not me.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Just's a terrible thing I'm saying anyway. So I do
like the bigger one.

Speaker 10 (23:51):
I do like the bigger ones. The bigger ones usually
work better.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
That's what she said.

Speaker 10 (23:55):
All right, man.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
What color worms do you use? Nice question?

Speaker 10 (23:59):
Just well I was using a plum that's like a
bluish purple. That's I don't know how many giant bass
I've caught on that over the years, that that thing
has been like money.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
It's like bluish thing every time.

Speaker 10 (24:14):
Yeah, yeah, plump that's what it's called. Yeah, it's got
a I got Oh, it's got the blue, got blue
sparkles in yes, kind of really.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Very interesting question.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
Sparkles and shine and glittered and blame the sparkle sparkle.

Speaker 4 (24:35):
Comuter and twelve and sixteen inches is not a big one.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Be happy to see me, so Wilton manors worm They
sweet hard.

Speaker 4 (24:45):

Speaker 2 (25:41):

Speaker 3 (25:44):
The first caller in no number between one and ten,
Just the first one to dial.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
When's the bucket?

Speaker 4 (25:51):
That sounds difficult.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
I think that's gonna be the easiest bucket winner on
the planet. First one to dial the number gets through,
they're the winner.

Speaker 4 (25:59):
But you have to dial a number though, Yeah, what's
the number?

Speaker 3 (26:01):
Eight six six eight zero one zero nine four zero.
Every time we do this together in Unison, you come
back on the second try and thought some of the
random number?

Speaker 2 (26:11):

This is right for Wayne. He loves the doors man.
He's a doors man, you know what I'm saying. Oh yeah, Wayne.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
God, good morning, God, good morning, buddy boy. Hello Wayne.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
Oh no Wayne, now okay, Oh, all that big intro
and there's no Wayne now, well, can we redo that
when he's on the phone, can be the whole Detroit.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
Yeah, I saw some post this week though.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
By the way, Yeah, he was getting some really nice snappers,
really snappers.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
He's getting some right now.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
He was.

Speaker 3 (31:08):
He's getting some really nice snappers. We'll say again, Jeff, Sorry,
Wayne's ready. Okay, let's try to get Joe all right.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Here we go.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
He's a real badass fishing guy. Legendary decades long operation
at the base side Florida. We got the doors back
again here, dudere and.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
Go ahead, Joe, what's your thing there? You I sitting
down sta Wayne.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
God, Yeah, Man, anyway, Man, man waiting your phone says,
you gotta be kidding like garbageer, Buddy, where are you at?

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Man? Hang on a second? Hang on? You got me
down there we go. You're buddy boy. Good on it
to you? Wayne? What's going on?

Speaker 8 (31:55):
Man?

Speaker 31 (31:56):
I'm good. I'm good Man.

Speaker 32 (31:58):
Well, nothing's changed every week, the same thing for us fishing.
Right Luckily, we've had great weather. You know, we're super calm,
that's for sure.

Speaker 31 (32:07):
So right, yeah, a real good calm weather.

Speaker 32 (32:11):
The snappers still really biting at night day time of
Benita's finally fired up, so you know what, bending rods,
so you gotta bend some rods. So we didn't post
quite as many pictures this week. I didn't have I
didn't have any kid trips this week.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
I actually had a couple.

Speaker 32 (32:29):
Of canceled because of the accident that happened in the
in the uh, you know, in the a few weeks ago.
So you know, of course they're sensitive to you know,
whatever they want with the kids, especially, but we've already
rescheduled them so we get to take them again. So
that's a big passion of mine. Get thirty forty kids
on the boat and just get them out there, catch
them their first fish. So anyway, pretty much, man, I'm sorry,

(32:54):
what's that?

Speaker 2 (32:55):
I said?

Speaker 3 (32:55):
Joe also is a kid summer camp. He gets about
there and trains of how to catch what freshwater fish? Joke, Yeah, yep,
fresh or salt water? Just just just fresh saltwater.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
You know. It's a different game when you have the kayaks,
you know, so.

Speaker 5 (33:08):
It's it's cool, hard to regulate, but freshwater is easy.

Speaker 32 (33:12):
So well, corroborate a little bit because I get groups
of kids and have them doing all kinds of stuff sometimes,
so uh, I've got a crazy vision. But anyway, I'll
talk to you about that if you want to try
something together, because uh, you know, getting there, just getting
the fire started is the most important thing. You never

(33:34):
there's no one that cannot remember their first fish. You
always remember it. And yeah, I get when I get
kids on that are fishermen. I turned them indo mates
for the day. I said, hey, now you can teach
your buddy something, show them what you.

Speaker 31 (33:46):
Do, you know, and theyuff, they puffed.

Speaker 32 (33:49):
Their throwing a T shirt, they puffed their chest up
and hang on, you know, I love that.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
So yeah, top fishmen this week. What's been biting hard
besides the banatos you mentioned.

Speaker 32 (33:59):
You know, we're so catching sailfish. It's crazy. I mean,
I'm not going to say daily, but we do live
bait a lot. Every morning that we can. We will
load the well up with bait. Now it's available to
the customers. We fish them from the top to the bottom,
and it makes a difference.

Speaker 31 (34:16):
I don't care. You know, you can.

Speaker 8 (34:17):
We're not.

Speaker 32 (34:18):
We're not the stock and standard party boat. You know,
there's your bucket of bait. Have a nice day, you know. Now,
we don't do that. So we're also shark fishing. We
do sharkfish. We got some really nice two speed internationals.
So first BEdita comes in the boat is sacrificed. So
as long as we don't catch them too big, you know,
five six footers are fine. When they get to be

(34:39):
the real jumbo size, it's a little too much trouble.
We don't, you know, we don't want to fight them
too long. But we don't want to. You know, we
don't kill those either. It's just there's there's a lot
goes into killing them. We used to do that and
it's a lot of work. It's a whole lot easier.
We use a real heavy mono lead or too instead
of wire, and we use big giant circle hooks are
expect to his heck, but guess what you get a

(35:01):
one hundred pounds shark up.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
To the boat.

Speaker 32 (35:04):
He said, five people fight him, right, that's what he
grabbed the mono leader, reached down and cut it.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
What stevemaw just had a sun effect of a gun.
I'm thinking back in the day, a lot of guys
just put a slugging right through his brain hole.

Speaker 32 (35:18):
Oh yeah, for sure. Bank sticks. Hey, I used to
run the old therapy. I mean, this is going back
back at day and one of my first days, Captain
Stanley yells up to me.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
He was mating.

Speaker 31 (35:28):
I was actually we had a big.

Speaker 32 (35:29):
Hammer head and he goes. He says, come on down,
and he had the bank sticks all laid out and
stuff like that. So I grabbed the bank stick and
I shook it and I blew the kite out of
the out of the air.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
So you know, the bankstick is right there. Oh yeah,
man shot the tip of a stick. Man did that?
Oh he doesn't get Yeah bankstick? Yeah, that's interesting. Yeah,
you never used one?

Speaker 32 (35:53):
Of those before on a like I like I said,
the way they they're devastating to a shark and especially
hit him underwater a few inches and that's it because
it's another thing. You grab a nine foot hammer head
by the years, you don't want them to live lively
when you drag them into the cockpit. So so it's
it's too bad we didn't have our cameras and phones
back then, because oh my gosh, some of those crazy
things like that, you know, or you know are quite

(36:16):
a bit lost.

Speaker 31 (36:17):
But you know, after.

Speaker 32 (36:19):
Jaws came out, and this is going back way back
in the day, but after Jaws came out, everybody that
came down to the to the charter boat docks, and
most anybody that could afford it, they wanted to bount
a shark and hang on. Yeah, I mean Fluger and
Gray Taxi r me. They they got off the ground
hard running with that. And in those days, Terry got

(36:40):
three Gary Hall bouncer, Jack platted or some of the
some of the legendary charter guys you know, and I
did it as well, not not at their lowes, running
party boats a lot, but you put the kite up
with your shark fish with the kite. It was a
lot of people don't even know how deadly. It's so
much fun.

Speaker 31 (36:56):
Man.

Speaker 32 (36:56):
You put a bit eata strip up on the kite
and just sit there watch it. And uh you put
one on on the on a wire line on the bottom,
and three fifty. If you're in fifty feet of water,
tied up wire down, three fifty you catch three or
four and a half day trip. And uh, yeah, yeah,
I mean we back then we fished, uh a lot
of nine o's and then ten o's, you know, the

(37:18):
great big pen senators. You know, we didn't fish so
much to fancy your stuff back then, but uh it
was it was exciting, you know, and and uh, let's
face to catch big fish. And nowadays it's come full circle.
We know, you know there's plenty of big sharks out there, right,
So what was your biggest.

Speaker 31 (37:37):
You know, night fishing? You know, I wouldn't We had
a couple.

Speaker 32 (37:40):
I know a few years ago, I had I had
a tiger that, uh, I'm gonna say it was twelve
thirteen foot long.

Speaker 31 (37:46):
So I I used to.

Speaker 32 (37:49):
Be able to guess really close on the two three
four hundred pound fish. But when they really got real big. Yeah,
it's hard to guess. This thing was so big. We
got alongside the boat and the waves were break can
across its back. I mean it had to be twelve
fourteen hundred pounds.

Speaker 6 (38:03):
You know.

Speaker 2 (38:04):
I kind of wish sharks had a taste for jet skiers. Joe, Oh, geez, yeah,
here we go.

Speaker 4 (38:08):
Hey, Captain Kahn, I have a question. You were just
saying that you had wino's and pinos. Have you ever
in your years of fishing caught something that, I don't
know A fish'd be like, what is this? What did
we get here?

Speaker 32 (38:22):
Many years ago, I was dropping on a small I
was dropping on a small wreck. I was running Jerry
Webb's boat. Jerry Webb and the om Fluger Taxidermy had
a boat called the Johnny Black was a really old
oarsman and he allowed us to go fishing, and we
used to snow he goes snowy group of fishing, warsaw
fish and stuff like that.

Speaker 31 (38:40):
This is even back in the eighties.

Speaker 32 (38:41):
So we fished out a small wreck in front of
haul over out in about four hundred and something fut
of water and we got to bite right away. We
started fighting the fish. We bring it up, and I
yelled down. My mate's name was Feathers. I don't know
why he was called that, but he was a He
was a really really good mate. But we were commercial
fishing day. I and I and I said though, I said, hey, Johnny,

(39:03):
is it is it? Is it a snow grouper? He goes, no,
I think it's a warsaw. And he goes, look, it's
not a wars it's not a warsaw. It's not a snowy.

Speaker 8 (39:10):
What is it?

Speaker 32 (39:11):
He says, I have no idea, And it was. It
was a small wreckfish and I'd never seen one before,
and for me at that point, you know, it was
like a dinosaur. We had to find somebody at the
doctor knew what it was. And we also caught a
hake out there doing that years ago. They looked kind
of like a actually they looked like a codfish without
a tail.

Speaker 31 (39:32):
Deep dropping deep dropping off is not.

Speaker 32 (39:34):
So because there's there's cool stuff out there.

Speaker 20 (39:36):
Man.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
It really is rock rocking big time, buddy.

Speaker 32 (39:40):
So the whole reward Fleet Bayside Marketplace, Fishingmiami Fishingmiami dot Com,

Speaker 28 (40:30):

Speaker 2 (40:33):
You know?

Speaker 33 (40:33):
And now we've changed the conversation of powerheads. You know
you guys, you continue to amaze me, you really do.

Speaker 8 (40:43):
Eric.

Speaker 33 (40:44):
Yes, I'm listening to some of this stuff going whoa,
what did I get myself into? But yes, I haven't
heard of power heads. Yes, uh, well we don't use
him as well, so sort of bank six. We occasionally
you will get it. You know, if you're spear fishing,

(41:04):
you're gonna maybe get a shark once in a while,
come after your bloody fish.

Speaker 6 (41:08):
Okay, So that's one of the things that you gotta
be prepared for. Most of the time. You know, they're
they're trying to get.

Speaker 2 (41:16):
An easy meal.

Speaker 33 (41:18):
So if you don't make it, you know, easy for them,
you kind of and hopefully your buddy, your buddy's got
his got your back.

Speaker 8 (41:24):
Uh.

Speaker 33 (41:25):
But yeah, I heard there are sharks in the ocean,
That's what I heard.

Speaker 4 (41:28):
You know, they're on the car dealerships as well.

Speaker 3 (41:33):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's regards sure, not so much a
boats that we don't shark anybody.

Speaker 5 (41:38):
Jim, have you ever had a close call with like
a shark or anything like that?

Speaker 33 (41:42):
Listen, listen, do you understand why how I got the
nickname chief Ye c h I E f Y. If
you go to Chiefe dot net. That's my website. Not
too many people have a website, all right, and it'll
explain to you that I get into a shark frenzy.
I survived, okay, And the good news is we watched

(42:06):
Jaws that evening. You know, it's a fifty year anniversary
of Jaws. And guess what the police chief was nicknamed
chief Ye by the boat captain it gets eaten by
the shark. Well, I was a fire chief at the time.
The boys called me Chiefy.

Speaker 6 (42:23):
That's how I got my name.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
That's why I can't many years, Joe, I thought it
was I thought it was his nickname was Cheapy.

Speaker 4 (42:32):
It's actually Chief that was your last host.

Speaker 2 (42:35):
Thank you. You're right. I couldn't find out on a
web like looking for Cheapy Crew and I can't find it.

Speaker 3 (42:40):
I didn't realize it's Chiefy Crew.

Speaker 6 (42:44):
Thank you very much. Come on, Eric, get with the program.

Speaker 2 (42:49):
Give us a bug report.

Speaker 33 (42:50):
Something minimal impact here by the hurricane.

Speaker 6 (42:57):
That's great news. Uh.

Speaker 33 (43:00):
You know, it was really offshore pretty far on the
other side of the Bahamas, and you know we're located
here with the Bahamas kind of blocked everything. Some swells
here and there. It stirred up a little bit of
stuff earlier in the week, but by you know, Thursday, Friday,
very good visibility. Yesterday was excellent and a little bit

(43:21):
of a north current and in certain places of south current.
Here's the bug report. We're still back to onesies, onesies, onesies.

Speaker 6 (43:30):
There's no clusters and a lot of eggers, Buddy, a
lot of eggers. And that's kind of.

Speaker 33 (43:35):
A good news in a way that they'll eventually drop
their eggs and then you can harvest them, right, that's
kind of the good thing.

Speaker 6 (43:42):
However, we're having to work for them, work.

Speaker 33 (43:45):
You know, like like work for our six per person
per day. But yeah, they are there, guys. We're still
getting our limit. We're competing now with the you know,
the the guys that are Marcial guys, and they get
two and fifty a day. So you know, I'm easily
little six don't really make a big dent in things,

(44:09):
trying to think.

Speaker 6 (44:10):
I was out last week a lot, and.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
It was good.

Speaker 6 (44:13):
It was actually really good. Water temperature is incredibly warm.

Speaker 33 (44:17):
I mean eighty six degrees eighty seven degrees.

Speaker 6 (44:21):
It's really really warm.

Speaker 33 (44:22):
Now I wear a wet suit and it's only for protection,
to tell you the truth, but I got overheated a
little bit, so you got to kind of pay attention
to stuff, you know, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. And everything's been
pretty much on the second reef, although we've been doing
the third reef and we are getting a fair amount
of red groupers.

Speaker 6 (44:43):
Red groupers. Yeah there you go, alright.

Speaker 33 (44:46):
All right, you know, no, no, no, no, I'm leading
you into it. And they are pretty much a stupid fish.

Speaker 6 (44:52):
They'll just swim right up to you and say hi,
how are you.

Speaker 33 (44:56):
But they taste they taste really good. So pow fish
dogs are still out there. Nothing huge, nothing big, and
you know the problem now is listen unless they're a Wow,
that's a big hog fish or wow, that's a.

Speaker 6 (45:12):
Big red grouper.

Speaker 33 (45:13):
I don't even bother with them because you know they
just don't measure up.

Speaker 6 (45:17):
You follow where them coming.

Speaker 2 (45:19):
But selective brain holes. Now you're going for the bigger hole.

Speaker 3 (45:24):
That's right, kind of you go for the older brain
hole versus the younger male.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
Yeah, he's leaving the kids alone. He's very kinds.

Speaker 33 (45:38):
So you know, typically when a when a hurricane or
a low pressure tropical depression, whatever comes in, we typically
get where the lobsters will walk. We'll do a migratory walk.
I haven't seen that yet. I'll be out there today
and tomorrow and we will be looking for them kind

(45:58):
of clustering together, coming in real, real shallow. This is
where they're in ten feet of water, you know, walking
in a line, you know, heading north. That's kind of cool.

Speaker 3 (46:08):
I'm gonna leave this last statement before you go gym,
because your time's got to run out here, buddy. I
do hope that one day in your lifetime you are
swallowed whole by a giant goliath grouper.

Speaker 2 (46:18):
Dude, I hope.

Speaker 3 (46:20):
I want to spend some time inside of its gut
and maybe have to work your way out.

Speaker 2 (46:24):
You know that's happened. Yeah, yeah, they get swallowed.

Speaker 33 (46:29):
Really, I'm telling you right now, glass are scaring me
more than anything else because they give you no warning.
They literally stand there and they look so docile. They
go and then they want yourn.

Speaker 6 (46:43):
Yeah, and they are. They are tough.

Speaker 3 (46:46):
They might spit you, Jim, because you're kind of older
and tough, you know, a little older tough pe But
I like.

Speaker 4 (46:50):
You, okay, I don't have that tasty young meat.

Speaker 31 (46:53):
You know.

a shot the last couple of weekends. He got an
issue with a bad phone or lack of interest.

Speaker 2 (52:25):
Did you guys talk to him during the tournament. No,
he didn't pick his phone either, No, did not.

Speaker 4 (52:30):
Wow, man, but I can understand why the tournament I
wouldn't be calling you either, because he's got money on
the line.

Speaker 2 (52:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (52:38):
Well, we can sort of fill the gaps with a
few things happening around this world called fishing. Yeah, I
could speak of experience. The last weekend, Oh really had
a Keystone point. I might add Keystone Point marina. Okay,
that'd be like.

Speaker 2 (52:49):
It was it?

Speaker 4 (52:50):
Like really, I heard it's really hectic down there at
that marina, and at least the what do you call
the launch the boat launch is like crazy.

Speaker 3 (52:56):
They got just a ton of slips over there, but
really well organized operation. While you're cruising up the Canal
to go out to the deep water to see these
multi billion dollar homes, right, and you'll see like boats
like Midnight Expresses and axle pars and just a whole
variety of Most of the ax par they are just
out there lined up like a bunch of candy.

Speaker 2 (53:14):
Man, nice, this is great candy. But yeah, they're fighting
really good and about twelve hundred feet of water. We
were about twelve miles off.

Speaker 3 (53:20):
And the Cantino's Dino Panos did a great job getting
sons of fish.

Speaker 2 (53:24):
We were birds primarily. Joe. Remember Jimbo was saying that
he was the word.

Speaker 5 (53:29):
Yeah, he was saying, uh, just go for the birds,
like that's it, That's all you need to do.

Speaker 3 (53:34):
When you came down from Jersey. How long did it
take you to actually to acclimate too, because you had
fishing skills up in Jersey catching out of the stripers and.

Speaker 2 (53:41):
One of their tautogs. The rest of your yays are right.

Speaker 3 (53:44):
How long did it take you to latch on to
south Folk of style fishing? WHOA, I hold that thought
for a second. Yeah, we have a wonder on the
start for bucking. Okay, I have to cut you off,
and I don't want to know, though.

Speaker 2 (53:54):
I want to know.

Speaker 3 (53:55):
Yeah, we got a guy here online one his name
is brand In Gilpin.

Speaker 2 (54:01):
Joey. Oh, it's that's the Uh, that's the winner of
the tournament. No way, I swear to God, this is
not a rigged thing. There's a collar.

Speaker 3 (54:11):
Put them on the line there, jeff O, if you would, yo, Brandon.

Speaker 41 (54:17):
Hey, guys, how's it going?

Speaker 2 (54:19):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (54:20):
Man, you got there as a guest on the show,
win her on the show. Now you have a Starbright bucket.

Speaker 2 (54:24):
Yeah, look at that, man.

Speaker 3 (54:25):
You your life is going really well. Pal you have
some big money. Now you got a box of three
thousand dollars start right, stuff whatever?

Speaker 41 (54:32):
Man, Absolutely, thank you guys.

Speaker 10 (54:36):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (54:37):
Yeah, no problem. Are you back in North Carolina? Where
right now?

Speaker 6 (54:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 41 (54:41):
I'm back in North Carolina right now. I'm heading out
to the news river. Go see if I can't get
on some big bull reads.

Speaker 2 (54:47):
Nice. So you get some big bulls there.

Speaker 3 (54:50):
It sounds like he's on the water right now the
way the Folk's house. Yeah yeah, But anyway, Brandon, back
to what you got our sponsored star Bright Rather it's
full of wash and wax and declator. It does work
amazingly well, by the way on kayaks. Yeah, it does
actually shine your yack up. Man, it's gonna be sparkling
shiny at there, buddy.

Speaker 2 (55:10):
Yeah. Man, all right, hey, I got a question for him.

Speaker 4 (55:16):
Will you be coming back to kick these folks ask
again next year for the fishing tournament.

Speaker 41 (55:22):
Absolutely, that's what I'm going out and doing some free fishing. Now,
get everything figured out.

Speaker 3 (55:26):
Wow, you're an advanced This guy really is a planner. Well, Brandon,
we're gonna walk the clock your man, but I'll call
you from the show and say where your bucket's gonna be.
And hell, we're gonna mail it, actually mail it to you. Okay,
don't worry about it.

Speaker 2 (55:34):
Thanks, Brandon. Sean Rowls is on the phone. He answered
his phone. Shawn's back. Well, he was probably doing some
you know, fishing prep or something. Yeah, I'm sure. I know.
There's a tournament today. We'll bring him in. Man, Betty's
fishing in. What's up, guys? How's it going to call

(55:55):
you earlier?

Speaker 3 (55:56):
Man, you didn't pick up your phone. Are you busy
prepping for something?

Speaker 2 (55:58):
Matter? What are you doing?

Speaker 8 (56:02):
I'm staying on the ballot of the boat trying to
get a sick going here. I hope you guys you
can hear me.

Speaker 2 (56:07):
Yeah, you're kind of cutting it out. Yeah yeah, yeah,
you're fishing the tourment a tournament.

Speaker 8 (56:12):
Yeah, we're doing a tournament today with real battery RB
tackle five.

Speaker 3 (56:21):
Yes, now working at too well, Sew, you're not standing
tall enough. Get up on the tower, uh high as
you can climb up the the VHF antenna.

Speaker 4 (56:32):
That's safe, definitely. Oh that'll hold.

Speaker 2 (56:35):
Him, Sean.

Speaker 3 (56:37):
You're you're cutting down man. Sorry brother, we can't connect
here with sorry man. All right, we tried, but he's
in a tournament.

Speaker 2 (56:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (56:44):
Also, Betty's fishing a Mahie tournament today. We have a second.
So tell me about again. I asked you how you
Jersey fished. How long did it take you to adapt
to suffle the fishing style. I want to know what
happened to you.

Speaker 5 (56:55):
I think it took quite a bit of uh when
it came to For instance, when I when I first started,
I did like snook fishing, tarp and fishing, and then
I graduated to offshore and all that, but like snook
fishing was actually very similar to striper fishing because they're
both pretty smart.

Speaker 2 (57:15):
You gotta go light on your leader.

Speaker 5 (57:18):
And small on your hooks, okay, and you got to
present your bait like really good or else you won't
get a bite.

Speaker 2 (57:24):
So you know, that was similar.

Speaker 5 (57:26):
The big thing I feel like fishing up north between
fishing here is like we would like really try to
like hook into these fish, you know, up north, and
that was just something we always did. We're here, you know,
you don't really do that, I mean unless maybe you
get a tarpin or something. But if you do that
here a lot of times you just kind of pull everything,

(57:47):
you know, so it's a little bit to get used
to it. My dad actually did it to a blackfin
when I had my small boat here.

Speaker 2 (57:54):
We went out and he looked into a jumbo black fin.
He just went boom it, like oh my god.

Speaker 5 (58:00):
So you know, it's because there, you know, you're hooking
into like bluefintuna.

Speaker 3 (58:05):
So you gotta like but you're seeing fish you never
saw before, like you're seeing you know, mahi mahi.

Speaker 2 (58:09):
Here you don't see those, probably we do. Yeah, we
see them in the canyons. Yeah, I mean, wahoo see
in the canyons. But it's rare, I'm.

Speaker 3 (58:17):
Saying, but primarily down here, you're actually being exposed to
wah masses here, yellow yellow, big.

Speaker 2 (58:23):
Thing is like stripers, you know that's not here.

Speaker 5 (58:27):
You got blue bluefish that that's rarely here, fluke. You know,
we're catching sea bass, so like there when you're jigging,
you're you're like trying to get sea bass and they.

Speaker 2 (58:39):
Only get probably like this big What was.

Speaker 3 (58:41):
The first weirdest fish you never even saw in your
life in Jersey?

Speaker 2 (58:44):
You caught that? What do you think it was for? Here?
The weirdest fish?

Speaker 5 (58:49):
What do you think I would say? I would say
it's snook I caught. I caught my first snook and
I wasn't even snoo fishing off the beach and.

Speaker 2 (58:58):
I brought it up and I'm like, whoa, look at
this thing.

Speaker 5 (59:01):
You know, it's got like one stripe, it's yellow, and like,
what the heck is this?

Speaker 33 (59:05):
You know?

Speaker 2 (59:06):
My buddy's like you better throw that back, and I'm.

Speaker 3 (59:08):
Right walking myself. Yeah, man, let me tell you, buddy, Yeah,
that was pretty cool. I want to caught one stick
in my life, so you're actually heading me you only
caught one in your life my life off a pier.

Speaker 2 (59:15):
I might add one off a pier a big one,
big enough that I had let it go.

Speaker 3 (59:20):
Yeah, but if I actually had to handle them up
and they got the line to break, but I got
over the rail. Guys are saying, they keep that fish
so they're not seasoned. Man, I'm not gonna get fined.
I throw them back in the rat rat They're like, yeah,
keep that fish. Help it off you man, God almighty,
good story.

Speaker 2 (59:37):
Joe. Let me ask you that.

Speaker 3 (59:38):
That's a good question. Actually, that was a good one.
I learned more about your whole breaking it up.

Speaker 5 (59:42):
For I mean, we don't have like the tog togs
and yeah, you know all that fun stuff, green crabs.

Speaker 3 (59:48):
Jersey Jersey, missage. Joe, maybe you should go back to
that area.

Speaker 2 (59:51):
You should check it out. Maybe I will.

Speaker 4 (59:52):
You like it not go I'm going there for some pizza.

Speaker 3 (59:55):

Speaker 2 (01:04:52):
I'm just saying, I'm just saying, Hey, Benny, it's all
you buddy. Good morning to you, man, Hi, Benny, good morning. Yeah.
I put my on the Jets to win the division.

Speaker 3 (01:05:03):
Hopefully put your house mortgage on it. But I like, god, well,
Betty was supposed to be a tournament this morning. You
actually hold off launching because of the show, and I
really appreciate.

Speaker 2 (01:05:12):
A whole lot. We love Benny.

Speaker 3 (01:05:13):
I got a textas morning for like like five and change. Yeah,
hey mackon movie. Later earlier in the show, I got
a Fisher turnim. I said, Betty, Man, it's just like
to move people now.

Speaker 2 (01:05:21):
Bro. It was okay, I'll just wait. I'll tell you.

Speaker 5 (01:05:24):
This is the kind of guy Benny is, so I'll
make it quick. H He did the show, remember when
I couldn't do it.

Speaker 2 (01:05:29):
I never forgot that phenomenally.

Speaker 5 (01:05:32):
By the way, and he sent me amazing He sent
me a text at like three, three or four in
the morning. He's like, Joe, if you need me out there,
I will run out there after the show to help
you out with the with the event.

Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
That was cool kind of guy, he is man. Yeah, yeah,
that was cool, very cool of you. So what kind
of fishing turnim at the other day, Betty?

Speaker 42 (01:05:52):
Yeah, So we're in the Dania Beach Dolphin derby, gonna
go running gun for some mahi uh. You know, once
we get done and talk with you guys and make
sure all the charters leave the dock on time. This morning,
we're out here trolling now though, just got some lines
in the water right at seven.

Speaker 2 (01:06:07):
Talk to you guys, give you.

Speaker 42 (01:06:08):
A good report, make sure everybody leaves the dock, and
then we're gonna go running gun for the Day's.

Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
Leave the sunlight in the sky here. Yeah, the sheaf
condition's got a calmer what's that under water like for that?

Speaker 42 (01:06:18):
Oh, it's beautiful this morning, guys. You got like a
nice southwest wind rolling at like seven to ten miles
an hour that has it real split calm at the coast.
When you get offshore into that current, you might have
a little one to three foot shop with like a
you know, it says three to four foot roller at
twelve seconds out the north, but it's one of those rollers. Again,
when you see those long time periods, you know, nine

(01:06:39):
to twelve seconds, you're not even going to feel that roller,
but it does. You do feel swaying out here a
couple of miles off.

Speaker 10 (01:06:45):
Shore for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:06:46):
What kind of cheechy you were talking about? If you
went first place? Is it decent money?

Speaker 20 (01:06:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 42 (01:06:51):
Yeah, it was decent money for a little you know,
firefighter charity tournament. It's seventy five hundred bucks for first place,
which first place in.

Speaker 8 (01:06:59):
This ornament is going to be the top three mahi.

Speaker 42 (01:07:01):
More than the money, though, this tournament has some of
the sickest trophies I seen.

Speaker 19 (01:07:05):
Man.

Speaker 42 (01:07:05):
They got big firefighter axes, like dressed up with mahis
all over them and painted. It's pretty cool, man, It's
it's a cool event. I've been fishing in a few years.
They have a really good raffle. So we're just here
for the charity for the firefighters and hopefully get some
recognition for our team.

Speaker 3 (01:07:22):
You know, I'll tell you one thing, Betty, I fished
last Sunday on keviny Panis's boat. We had a riggers
trolling valleys. Of course, never got hit on the riggers
band We always got all of our fish, actually other birds.
That's where they were. They were the birds with Yeah.

Speaker 42 (01:07:35):
Yeah, that's what we'll be doing today really just running
and gun and looking for birds. We're not going to
spend too much time just blind trolling unless we get
on a good weed line or something. But mostly, you know,
running gun for the birds is going to be the
hot method. You know, you have your trolling lines that
you could pull a little faster under the birds to
stay on them, and most importantly, have your spinners ready
and right when you hook up, you know, slow the

(01:07:56):
boat down, stop the boat, get a good angler on
that first fish to keep them tight and get them
spinners tight, and you'll.

Speaker 31 (01:08:01):
Get the whole school around the boat.

Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
So you guys did really good. You're a trader, Joe,
You're a really motivator. So motivate Benny Begg motivated a
little bit, little little joke, step talk thing.

Speaker 2 (01:08:12):
You got this, Benny? You got this? Man? Yeah, there
we go. That was that was breaking?

Speaker 10 (01:08:19):
Do you like that?

Speaker 2 (01:08:20):
It wasn't enough energy? Man? That was great? Do you
mean low key picking up a notch? You got this, Benny? No,
you got this, Benny, You're gonna do it. Man, go
get him, Benny. That's better stepping up a notch man,
turn to power, Joe.

Speaker 5 (01:08:37):
Damn, dude, dude, that's my see, I don't I don't
get people motivated by like yelling.

Speaker 2 (01:08:41):
I get them motivated by just you know, you got Eric.

Speaker 4 (01:08:45):
Eric is used to being yelled at.

Speaker 2 (01:08:47):
That's that is the truth, my brother. You have no idea.

Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
Anyway, Benny, before you go, man and he catches her
in a week of noting the fish besides mahe bite
out there.

Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
Yeah, yeah, besides the mahi.

Speaker 42 (01:08:59):
I mean, we still had our handful of kings on
the reefs. Captain Tyler got a nice literally we had
a three to seven pm charter last night. He got
a thirty pound wahoo. You know, during the trip he
just tried to get away from the benitas for a
little bit, went out a little deeper and got the
wahoo kind of in no man's land. But it's see,
it's still been a summertime week where like literally you

(01:09:21):
can't get away from the benitas, but if you weed
through them, you'll still pick off some kings sounos. The
bottom is still hot, you know, as long as there's
some current. Bottom fishing has been great. So it's still
over overall, it's it's still very productive right.

Speaker 5 (01:09:33):
Now, Benny, I will say we had quite a few
wahoo caught in my tournament, and all the guys told
me they were all around Benita when they caught their
wi all of them.

Speaker 2 (01:09:44):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, man.

Speaker 42 (01:09:45):
After seeing those pictures, I could talk another twenty minutes
about that tournament. But yeah, congress on that one, Jille, that.

Speaker 2 (01:09:50):
Was a good one. Thanks brother, I appreciate it all.
Like Betty, you make a great co host.

Speaker 5 (01:09:54):
Freaking when Benny are gonna kick butt man next year?

Speaker 2 (01:09:59):
I ain't going unless she was doss. You have me killed.

Speaker 4 (01:10:02):
When is Benny coming back?

Speaker 42 (01:10:05):
Yeah, I'll come in and sit Johnny Jigs it is
the third guy.

Speaker 3 (01:10:09):
Actually, he wants to come on, setting me a third
wheel with this cool Bring him on, I said, yeah,
walk anytime man, bring.

Speaker 2 (01:10:15):
Them on, like on once a month, bring him in here.

Speaker 3 (01:10:17):
Why not, let's do it, do it all right, but
we'll play it Joe, Okay, all right, but he lets
you go focused on catching your fish for that tournament. Man,
thanks again for checking in and hanging off for us,
my friend.

Speaker 2 (01:10:25):
Thanks Benny anytime, man. Appreciate you guys. All right, So
he went to the dentist this week. Joe, did you
you want to talk about this? Give it to me.

Speaker 5 (01:10:33):
The short version went to the dentist, had my appointment,
my cleaning, whatever. So I'm there and the girl, uh
I get a little anxiety when uh I go to
the dentist.

Speaker 2 (01:10:43):
I don't know why. It's just something I always have had.

Speaker 5 (01:10:46):
So she's she's really sweet and cool and talking to me,
and then she goes, well, listen, my you look really familiar.

Speaker 2 (01:10:55):
Uh I look for sound familiar.

Speaker 4 (01:10:57):
Both okay?

Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
She said, both okay. And then like we're in the
middle of doing the cleaning and she stops and she goes, wait,
I got it.

Speaker 5 (01:11:04):
She goes, you're you're that guy on that fishing show
in the morning. I said, yeah, but how do you
are you into fishing? She goes, no, my brother listens
to the show like every Saturday. He loves the show.
And she's like, you know that show with you and
that old guy.

Speaker 2 (01:11:23):
That's not the story. He told me. You told me that.
The brother said, yeah, that's that guy. Yeah, the brother, yeah,
the guy with the old guy, yeah, the brother. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:11:33):
Now I was going to go off on a tirade
about that. But I realized one thing. Let's face it, I.

Speaker 2 (01:11:38):
Am an old older No, it is just what it
is man, Okay, Yeah, I'm just glad he's a fan
of the show. Isn't that great? You'd call me old dead?
Brain dead? What have you watching? As olds? You're watching
the show? I don't know what you call.

Speaker 5 (01:11:52):
Hey, listen, if you go to the dentist and they're
saying they watched the show, that's pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (01:11:57):
Very cool, that's cool. How do you finish up walking
in your implants? So what do you do with your mouth?
It was all good, man, cook It's all good, great John,
you know, play pretty tea. We get the story out there, Kase, Yeah,
it's all calm. I didn't. It was what cookies? All good? Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:12:10):
I had to take my hat off during a break though.
I'm gonna go out here and probably kick one of
those ships. I think think I'll ring come back with
more Man seven twelve, Fox Sports Night forty.

Speaker 3 (01:16:10):
So far, fishing reports have been spectacular. People are getching
mahi and boo come on a wall?

Speaker 2 (01:16:15):
Who here and there? And a lot of banita.

Speaker 3 (01:16:17):
Hey, I've seen this post this week, and I'll tell
you what. Benny Sacks, he's got a sack of fish.
Ho do you hear what I said? Their singing machine? Hey,
the Vinny Sacks has got a sack full of fish.

Speaker 2 (01:16:31):
Oh yeah, he's been sacking them, Joe Vinnie's the man.
He's been sacking them hard. He is the man. He
is the man. He is the yellowtail King. You know
that he's in the yby normal green machine. I might,
I mean, why be normal? We're not? No, we should
be mates. And I bowed truth. And you know what,
I got my green shoes on just for him. Yeah. Great,
your here's the same color. That's Benny. How you doing, buddy?

(01:16:53):
Go want to see you? Then?

Speaker 44 (01:16:54):
Hey, Hey, good morning you guys. How you doing.

Speaker 3 (01:16:58):
We're just going talking smack as usual over here, Bud yeah,
saya supposed this week you're still catching fish Like every trip, man,
what do you bring it in?

Speaker 11 (01:17:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 44 (01:17:08):
So this week I didn't get to fish as much
as I had hoped, but I got out a couple
of times. Still on the reef, man, plenty of benitas,
Like all you want good time is tock up on
bait for the winner, that's for sure. Other than that,
a few blackfin tunas mixed in with the benitas. There

(01:17:28):
was a really nice water who caught yesterday about fifty
pounds by one of the other charter boats.

Speaker 2 (01:17:34):
There we go.

Speaker 44 (01:17:36):
And then offshore. You know, there was some dolphin earlier
in the week. They kind of took a break a
little bit with the uh that west wind we had,
but I know there's still a few out there, just
not as easy to find as they were before.

Speaker 2 (01:17:48):
So right right, you know, kind of ticks me off, though.
Vinnie's beat out there. Man.

Speaker 3 (01:17:53):
You said benita and black inn tuna. One know, black
fans are out there, and I bring it up, freaking banita.
I'm not a handy because and so you get color
that shine looks like a black fin for a while.
Then you get into the boat you realize it's a
flipping banita.

Speaker 8 (01:18:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:18:09):
But you know what though, I can I can sort
of tell if like pretty much halfway through what I
got because the black fin they do that quick little
on the tip of the rod.

Speaker 2 (01:18:20):
You know the difference. I mean, Vinnie, do you notice
any difference or.

Speaker 8 (01:18:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 44 (01:18:27):
So with the black fins, you always want to look
for that gold you'll see that gold stripe. They tend
to stay down whether benita is the telltale sign of
a banita. When you hook it and watch your line,
it'll go left, right, left, right, up, down, It's all
over the place. Tune us more down.

Speaker 2 (01:18:44):
Right, good point, man, A good point of knowing between
the banita and the yellow blackfin. Yeah. How's the how's
the bottom fishing?

Speaker 44 (01:18:52):
Yeah, bottom bottom fishing, fan steady. You know a lot
of green water this week too, So still still working
on the vermillions. They've been good size still like some
ones close to five pounds, and some yellow eyes still around.
Really hadn't had the greatest conditions to go anchor up

(01:19:12):
in yellow tail fish spend like some south current some
days or no current, so kind of and stand away
from that this week.

Speaker 3 (01:19:19):
Finny, you're looking forward to August funny getting out of here, man,
and get some better much like September, October, November, December,
coming up here soon and get back to some cooler taps,
and maybe I think the fish would picks up a
little bit for you.

Speaker 31 (01:19:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 44 (01:19:32):
Well, I'm a big fan of September and October because
that's usually when the dolphins are really strong out. You
tend to get your bigger ones then, especially October, So
always looking forward to that. I always tell my customers
that come in October and that dolphin are you're the best.

Speaker 2 (01:19:48):
Not the football dolphins you're talking about.

Speaker 3 (01:19:54):
He's talking about winning winning things like winding fish winning, winning,
dolphin winning.

Speaker 2 (01:20:00):
Yes, yeah, now I'm not going to suck if you
Bahi on his boat. But anyway, Vinny, so out.

Speaker 3 (01:20:07):
Through the water today, man, calm conditions, choppy, what's up
out there?

Speaker 44 (01:20:10):
But yeah, super calm today, like a table out there.
So you go out and you get stick to a
day like today. You probably should never go on a
boat again.

Speaker 4 (01:20:20):
I like it like a table. I've never heard that
one before.

Speaker 2 (01:20:23):
That's good. That's actually a first for me too.

Speaker 39 (01:20:25):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:20:25):
I mean to say it's like mirror smooth or last smooth.
But that's not like a table. Yeah, I like that, alright,
very cool.

Speaker 3 (01:20:32):
So outside of that video, I mean, we have a
full moon coming up soon. I think me mentioned like
in two weeks. I guess right on your technique of
a full moon, ef we talked about so many times before,
three days before, three days after during. I don't know, man,
what's your philosophy on that?

Speaker 44 (01:20:50):
If you're looking for the man the wah who, I
would usually say a couple of days before, a couple
of days after the day of the full moon is tricky.
Usually if you do get a bite, it's just one
bite and that's it. But usually after the moon's always
better for those.

Speaker 3 (01:21:09):
So okay, So before the moon, Jeff for the mahi,
after the moon for the wahoo, and during the moon
do you just drink beer?

Speaker 2 (01:21:18):
Our tournament was one day after the full moon.

Speaker 5 (01:21:22):
Okay, and we got all those wahoo so after one
day okay, right, all.

Speaker 2 (01:21:28):
Right, so it worked. He's right, He's absolutely right, Joe.

Speaker 4 (01:21:32):
Did you plan that?

Speaker 2 (01:21:33):
Yes? I always planned the tournaments around the moon's farm
farmer's almanac or something I do.

Speaker 5 (01:21:39):
Actually, Tom Green, when I first started doing these events,
was kind enough to give me his old Almanac, and
I've been using that ever since, and for the most
part it's been pretty good.

Speaker 3 (01:21:51):
All right, cool man, man, Finny, you go on your book. Man,
we'll be contacted my phone. We'll give you a private
message or what's the best way to contact.

Speaker 44 (01:21:58):
You, Yeah, that's sways to just call us direct, uh
phone number nine five.

Speaker 31 (01:22:05):
Hundred.

Speaker 3 (01:22:07):
Well, you know what, you came on a show I
don't know, maybe four or five, six months ago.

Speaker 2 (01:22:10):
It's been that long, recommended highly by Norm.

Speaker 3 (01:22:12):
Beckoff who had to leave the show and do the things. Wow,
and I canna say Somethingning, you bring a strong every weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:22:18):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:22:18):
You really have a lot of credit and I'm just
really glad you're on the show. And we appreciate you
man big time. Yep, seriously, definitely.

Speaker 44 (01:22:26):
Dam man, appreciate you guys.

Speaker 2 (01:22:27):
All right, bro, catch him up today, man, Thanks Vinny.
Shall we bring on Johnny Joey. Let's do it here.

Speaker 3 (01:22:34):
Johnny shouldn't be married, married for life, happily to the
very end.

Speaker 2 (01:22:39):
Did he probably cannot wait for you to just stop
doing that.

Speaker 3 (01:22:42):
No, I would say, though, he'll make a very great husband.
He's the kind of guy I know right now.

Speaker 2 (01:22:46):
It will be a great how much you know, because
he's got he's got a.

Speaker 3 (01:22:50):
Lot of credentials, too much information he's got, so I
don't have.

Speaker 2 (01:22:55):
He's got. Probably I wish I had, is what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (01:22:58):
He has a brain.

Speaker 2 (01:23:02):
Class. He's like my style style I'm lacking. Yeah, I
love Steve. Bring on, Johnny, let him say a few words.
Let's love it. Let's let's have Steven keep going. Johnny,
good OneD, buddy boy, good morning.

Speaker 7 (01:23:19):
I'm flattered you guys say said nice things about me.

Speaker 2 (01:23:23):
No, actually Steve with him under the bus. But give
me a little compliment things.

Speaker 4 (01:23:26):
You set yourself up, bro, you definitely set.

Speaker 3 (01:23:29):
I shipped through a pile of dudoo. Okay, fine, anyway,
you're stout to be a married man. I saw your
living wife on a Facebook Post's on.

Speaker 2 (01:23:36):
The Facebook post? You have facebunk, Johnny, do you know
Eric's Australian? All of a sudden, my own Facebook post.

Speaker 3 (01:23:46):
I kind of confidence wife. Okay, do you mind? She's
a beautiful lady.

Speaker 5 (01:23:50):
Okay, okay, but you keep talking about it every show.

Speaker 2 (01:23:53):
It's kind of weird because there's a big thing is
his first marriage.

Speaker 5 (01:23:56):
I want to go through to them Okay, okay, I
know Johnny Johnny thinks it's okay.

Speaker 2 (01:24:00):
He'll never admit it. All right, he'll never admit it, Johny.
I would want to hold back.

Speaker 4 (01:24:04):
He'll tell me right, no, if it's weird or not,
Johnny Johnny, keep your woman away from Eric.

Speaker 2 (01:24:09):
Johnny. Hey doing.

Speaker 3 (01:24:11):
Let's go back to beginning here. How are you, buddy,
Welcome to the show man.

Speaker 44 (01:24:14):
Okay, you know, I'm doing good.

Speaker 7 (01:24:17):
I my last weekend in Rhode Island, and then I
come home and get back to fishing, which is good
because it sounds like I've missed out on the worst
of the weather and the fishing says. The fishing has
been pretty terrible the last the last seven days. So

(01:24:39):
you know, times when the weather is bad, rain, whatever
summer conditions we have that is less than desirable to
go out. Well, you it's hot, you know, you want
to go out when it's you know, either first thing
in the morning or the last you know, two hours
of the afternoon, you know, into evening. You want to

(01:25:02):
target snakeheads. This time of the year, the snakehead fishing
is the best in the morning and the last two
hours of the day. If it's raining. The snakehead fishing
is on fire. And the best part is you don't
have to spend time catching bait or buying bait or
trying to keep bait alive for snakeheads, because all you

(01:25:23):
gotta do is just throw some topwater frogs. And you know,
that would be my approach to fishing this year.

Speaker 2 (01:25:29):
Now.

Speaker 7 (01:25:30):
Now, like myself, I'm a fishing guide, so I'm gonna
have to get back to, you know, being on the
lake at five six in the morning catching bait, waiting
for my clients to show up around eight o'clock. Then
I take them, you know, and it's a whole big production.
But if you don't have to do all that, my
recommendation when you have bad weather like we had. And

(01:25:54):
the only reason I know what we had is because I,
you know, spoke.

Speaker 8 (01:25:57):
To my fiance and a whole bunch of people this.

Speaker 7 (01:26:01):
Week to get a report for you guys and you
know and talk about it is to go snakehead fishing.
If you guys also didn't know, the Everglades is on
fire right now and apparently has okay, well, it has
apparently smoked out all of South Florida. Yes, and uh,

(01:26:24):
hopefully we get lots of rains soon to help calm
about those fires. But it would definitely stay out of
the everglades if you have any breathing problems.

Speaker 2 (01:26:34):
Why why do they do that? Do what like set
things on fire?

Speaker 4 (01:26:39):
Those are thunderstorms that caused that joke.

Speaker 2 (01:26:41):
Oh, I thought that was like a control.

Speaker 5 (01:26:45):
There was a post on Facebook saying it was like
a control. They think it's like a control.

Speaker 4 (01:26:50):
They may have been a control fire after the other original.

Speaker 2 (01:26:54):
Gotcha.

Speaker 3 (01:26:54):
If you get off sesame street dot com real news,
you might.

Speaker 2 (01:26:58):
Know more about the rules news. Which one is it? Kay?

Speaker 3 (01:27:01):
Tell me whatever, Johnny, you don't have one. I had
a question for Johnny. Johnny kind of steering off left
face air.

Speaker 2 (01:27:08):
A little bit.

Speaker 3 (01:27:09):
When you're on a boat with clients, right, do you
like clients who like talking up with you and want
to be like your buddy buddy and just jaw route
and never stop flapping their lips like we do on
this program. What do you like more like a serious
guy who's casting his bait out and just kind of
keeps his mouth shut. It focuses on fishing.

Speaker 7 (01:27:27):
You know, it doesn't matter to me. I am happy
to have someone that has the gift of gab or
someone that says three words the entire charter and hays
and tips me. Well at the end of the trip,
it really doesn't matter to me. I you know, I
guess if if somebody is really quiet, you know, and

(01:27:48):
they're not really saying much, I may think they're not
having a good time, because it's pretty hard to be
quiet and catch fish and be like, oh, this is
a nice fish, or just say something about the fish,
you know, so that that would maybe give me the
impression that they weren't having a good time. But I
would say that ninety percent of my clients, you know,

(01:28:08):
are asking questions about you know, things is from fishing
to birds to you know, about the local invasive apple
snails and iguanas and all that stuff. So people are
constantly you know, talking and asking questions. And you know,

(01:28:30):
number one question I get all day every day can
I have another bait?

Speaker 4 (01:28:35):
You know?

Speaker 7 (01:28:35):
So that was a joke, but yes, I do get
I do get a lot of questions, and and I
you know, I appreciate it because it just makes people
seem like they weren't you know, forced to come out
and spend some time with me. They did it because
it was their choice, and you know, and normally it
makes for a much better trip when there's a little

(01:28:56):
bit of communication. You know, I can kind of put
them in the direction or to cast, and they want
to take that information and you know.

Speaker 8 (01:29:04):
Utilize it.

Speaker 3 (01:29:05):
I got one last question, Joe. Hopefully Johnny gives me
kind of a short direct answer. When somebody gives you
a really lousy tip, kind of stiffs you out of
really when you busted.

Speaker 2 (01:29:14):
Your butt out there for him. How do you handle
a bad tip?

Speaker 7 (01:29:19):
It depends if the people are nice and I think
they're going to book a trip again in the future.
You know, I just brush it off and say, you know,
I worked hard, but you know, maybe they come from
a place that doesn't have a tipping culture like we
do in the US. If they were mean and didn't tip,

(01:29:44):
then I blacklist them and I never I never take
them again. And it's not so much as a tip.
It's you know, we're any fishing guide or charter boat
captain is working hard yay in day out to stay
on the fish. Where are the fish? Find the fish,
catch the beat, rigged the rod, get the boat ready,

(01:30:06):
the boat's nice and clean. When they show up, that
didn't just happen, you know, as a as a response
of being out there, you had to clean the boat.
So if somebody tips you a little a little bit
after doing all that work, it's kind of an insult.
I mean, granted, a lot of us are making our
own you know, it's our own business that we're making
the money anyway, but you know, the tip is just

(01:30:28):
I call it beer money at the end of the day. Sorry,
that was a longer answer than you wanted. But yes,
that's how. That's how the tipping was.

Speaker 2 (01:30:35):
You handle it.

Speaker 3 (01:30:35):
Well, Yeah, they realized he was blacklisting guys. That's pretty cool.
That's Johnny boom Man.

Speaker 2 (01:30:40):
You screw me over, I'm a blacklist git oh love it?

Speaker 3 (01:30:42):
Yeah, well, Tonny, wedding bells would be ringing about eighty
some odd days, seventy some odd days. I'm pulling for you, man,
just you know, they tell me I talk about it
too much with you, but I'm pulling for you to
be a happily buried man. And I'll do me. Please
teach me how it's done, right. I cannot hold on
to a wife, no way, no how Yeah done?

Speaker 7 (01:31:01):
Gare for everyone.

Speaker 2 (01:31:05):

Speaker 46 (01:35:44):
Good morning, guys.

Speaker 2 (01:35:46):
How are you.

Speaker 46 (01:35:48):
I'm great, I'm great. How are you?

Speaker 8 (01:35:49):
Guys?

Speaker 3 (01:35:50):
Are sweltering and stinky. We have brush fires in the Everglades.
The sky is filled with smoke. Really encouraging days. So
it's phenomenal. Jed great pot.

Speaker 46 (01:36:00):
Yeah sounds incredible.

Speaker 4 (01:36:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:36:03):
Uh.

Speaker 46 (01:36:04):
You got some showers and storms today, sixty percent chance.
Otherwise it's mostly sunny with a heighther ninety one heat
and Dexos high is one o three southwest winds five
to ten, seeds two to three feet. Inner coastal water
is a light chop. Tomorrow, sixty percent chance of showers
and storms, mostly sunny. Hi there ninety one Keaton Dexos
high is one oh five southwest winds five ten He's

(01:36:26):
around two feet. Inner coastal water is a light chop.
If you're heading down to the Keys today thirty percent
chance the showers and storms mostly sunny. High your ninety
two went to be variable around five not sees one
foot or less dear shore waters. Tomorrow and the keys
twenty percent chance of showers and storms mostly sunny. He
your ninety two southeast to south winds five to ten.

(01:36:49):
Who's around the foot near shore water students the light chop.
And lastly in Florida fa A today variable wins five
not big water, smooth gatn storms and then tomorrow side
southwest winds they went smooth to a light shruck got
a showering storm, you guys.

Speaker 3 (01:37:08):
Yeah, Shabby, I guess we're lucky about the fact that
Aaron went away and by by their gen and just
steered north and thank god that was really.

Speaker 46 (01:37:17):
That was really lucky because that was a big storm.

Speaker 3 (01:37:20):
Yeah, sixtorab, we dodged of the bullet man. How long
is eventually we actually had a hurricane here? How many
you'res lazy?

Speaker 4 (01:37:29):
Stop don't even bring it up, a Jed, I just
want to say, once again, those phony ass forecasters out
there hyping things up, putting out these predicted predictions and
showing it like going right through Florida and stuff. I'm
so sick of this. I've never seen anything so bad
before on the internet, isn't it.

Speaker 46 (01:37:48):
I wish there were some way we could regulate that,
because it is fretting incredibly false information, and that impacts
people's lives. People that buy into that and believe it,
you know, they actually think it's happening. It's super irresponsible.

Speaker 4 (01:38:02):
And you said before, you said before, Jen, that the
the three to four anything more than three to four
days out is probably not very accurate, correct, sure?

Speaker 47 (01:38:14):
True?

Speaker 46 (01:38:14):
Yeah, I mean, any anything, if anyone's showing you something's
gonna hit Miami in sixteen days, it's a load of crap.
Like it's it's just that's impossible, Jen, I think.

Speaker 2 (01:38:26):
I know what it is.

Speaker 3 (01:38:27):
It's a conspiracy by all these home improvement stores to
jack up. But people buy early. Yeah, plywood just put
they put it on the line under a different fake
name and just scare up for the world to go
out there and buy ninety five sheets of plywood.

Speaker 2 (01:38:39):
Okay.

Speaker 46 (01:38:40):
Generators, yeah, generators and the whole Yeah. I think all right, now,
I can tell you you have nothing aheading your way
that we can see for the foreseeable future.

Speaker 2 (01:38:53):
If you see today.

Speaker 3 (01:38:55):
Do you see that your forecast would be sending both
buyers my way, because right now I haven't seen one
it like forever?

Speaker 2 (01:38:59):
Nope, nope, Sure, all right, Jed, thank you so much.
We love you to death. Have a great weekend and
stay cool if you can't. Alrighty, thanks, Jen, have a
good one. She's the best. Sorry, Keys, we go, Joey,
all right, here we go. The greatest man who could
talk like fifty five thousand. No, no, he's a shotgun

(01:39:22):
on this show man, sponge Cake.

Speaker 3 (01:39:26):
Watching your face bait. All right, it is skip, Bradyed,
you want to skip skip?

Speaker 20 (01:39:33):
Tell you what this? Jen's really right about the weather
in the Florida Key, I think she said one or two,
but it's not if you could even find a white
air site in a Maurada. We're on a bake pat,
we're getting ready to go off shore. But anyway, it's
just absolutely gorgeous, gorgeous day. And she's right about that.
You know what else, I've been saying this for one
hundred years. In January, they'll give every point out of

(01:39:55):
Colorado some concrete building on how many hurricanes were can
have any east And that's some believe what do they
know about hurricanes in Colorado in January? And of course
there in the air they revive it. They can't.

Speaker 8 (01:40:06):
Well it's a.

Speaker 47 (01:40:06):
Little bit more, a little bit less.

Speaker 20 (01:40:08):
So I just thought, I think that's the biggest too
much twenty for they put out. So that being said,
we are targeting the black pintuna at the end the
tuner are intown. They're bobbing, but but we're just getting
up the pastor probably have three four hundred cigar medals.
Everybody has is I've never seen fade any thicker than
it is from here, even key Log fishing key Log

(01:40:30):
a couple of days ago. Same way here in amarad Bate.
We're gonna go out there and fire these of cigar
medals on the Aarmorada hump and I'll have some probably
got some light tackles of twelve and twenty pounds that
line cool fire up, get you only laugh ten now
you can't keep any more than ten new rule and
they have there's no size limit. But anyway, they're fisher
averaging five to ten pounds and plenty of mouths there

(01:40:51):
right now, guys, plenty of them out there.

Speaker 2 (01:40:54):
Very cool.

Speaker 3 (01:40:55):
So are you seeing this heat wave? Just take over
the keys like up here in South Florida and Miami
and Browdca. I think a skip. It's been massively hot
every day to get well something the background there, Joey, Yeah.

Speaker 47 (01:41:13):
Yeah, I know we got them visiting screaming right now.
You asked me a question, what was it?

Speaker 3 (01:41:18):
Just is it hot and hell down there and the
keys like it is up here in Miami.

Speaker 47 (01:41:21):
Brow, Oh, you're only seventy miles away. Why would it
not to be here.

Speaker 8 (01:41:25):
There's no barrier that a breeze.

Speaker 2 (01:41:28):
I don't know, man, but Row, it's not blowing here
with the damn it's hot.

Speaker 47 (01:41:31):
Now it's just like up there and just this hot
and get this terrible. But we only have another six
weeks of us but maybe you know, maybe a little less.
But anyway, the Mimi bite is a very suspect. I'd say,
we talk about gaffers, and yeah, there's a few, and
there's not many of the other fishing Kitchen released, but
the gaffers, I'd say, we've gotta let'd be here. They'd
be here in a couple of couple of weeks, and

(01:41:53):
that'll be a lot of no gamfer fish and the
fish between five and pounds it up, you know, So
that's you know, we talked about a gift.

Speaker 8 (01:42:01):
You know what we're talking about, and they're the fish.

Speaker 47 (01:42:03):
You don't want to go ahead and just lift in
the boat because of the gents and put the south
where I called mcgaffer and there happened. I haven't heard
of any moreland or any thing suspect. Last week the
boys were catching some cubara snapper and I didn't hear
anything about that this week here so pretty well much
it's just catching these black printuna. Thank goodness. It's funny
of them out there.

Speaker 2 (01:42:22):
Nice show you a black fan man. Have a question
for any the legendre any big wahoo.

Speaker 47 (01:42:28):
I haven't heard of anyone who yet. We you know,
we've been fishing for them. We even putting some of
my legs, a red and black feathers out. We had
him out yesterday. We took a ride up to its
Q of me yesterday with some feathers. After about three
hours they never had a bite on a wahoo that
I don't know. That's time for wat who yet enough,
But no, I have not.

Speaker 8 (01:42:46):
Heard of any way who.

Speaker 47 (01:42:47):
I haven't heard of any blue mall and catching release
down here. Pretty much the black pin tuna, yellow tale, always.

Speaker 20 (01:42:54):
Always yellow tail.

Speaker 47 (01:42:55):
They're biting and they shell. They always fite down here anymore,
so that's it yellow to They can stand the heat
and uh, you know offshore tune of fishing and hope
to find somebody. I went on the way to and
from the Almah, the same out as three of them,
the Almorado, the U, the one off before or nine
and then I went off. They all have the tune
around them and it's been a wonderful fight. People love

(01:43:16):
it well, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (01:43:19):
Skip great report.

Speaker 3 (01:43:19):
It's always yeah, friend, do what you do best, got
there and entertain and maybe catch a few fish at
the same time. And just thanks for bringing us strong
every Saturday. We appreciate you, buddy.

Speaker 2 (01:43:28):
Thanks camp.

Speaker 47 (01:43:29):
Yeah, guys, yeah, I tell you I have a trouble
here about who you Okay, you're doing a great job.

Speaker 8 (01:43:33):

Speaker 2 (01:43:35):
By bye, all right, see you buddy.

Speaker 3 (01:43:37):
Very cool. So, uh we've not been to the Keys.
I haven't been to the Keys. I feel guilty, Joe
in years, man, it's been way too free log man.

Speaker 5 (01:43:46):
I haven't been there since my anniversary, and that's been
hell long. Oh my gosh, years man, years.

Speaker 3 (01:43:53):
It's so funny. It's only you know, a couple maybe
an hour and a half, two hours away. Yeah, and
I just never made the.

Speaker 2 (01:43:59):
Time to get out there. But I gotta go to
the Keys more.

Speaker 30 (01:44:01):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:44:01):
I feel it's a doughter. It's so weird.

Speaker 5 (01:44:03):
It feels like the Bahamas is more accessible and closer
than the Keys, right, I though.

Speaker 2 (01:44:08):
It's yeah, yeah, I know weird.

Speaker 3 (01:44:10):
It's like, right there, I should get that other and
stop talking about it and do it. Yeah, we'll taking
a little breaks, was popping off the toy chest and
a little show wrap up towards the end here and

my name is Kat Haley, and work out to be
best friends.

Speaker 25 (01:48:48):
And take these out together.

Speaker 50 (01:48:50):
A paddleboard you can take in just a backpack that
blows up to eleven half beat.

Speaker 6 (01:48:55):
Yes, please, let's shot out this board together.

Speaker 50 (01:48:58):
First off, this is flatable board is super stable, perfect
for all skill set levels. A huge perk is how
lightweight the boat hd Arrow board is and as a
petite girl, I can carry it on my own comfortably.
That a load is one thousand percent My favorite part.

Speaker 31 (01:49:16):
It's a game.

Speaker 50 (01:49:17):
Changer being able to take a beautiful board in a
backpack and go for an adventure whenever you want. You
can set the whole thing up in under five minutes.
The fin detaches and slides right on, no screws, tools
or stress. This board weighs thirty pounds and can hold

of an everything in general right now, a lot of.

Things everybody I know in retail, ever, things have slowed
down there as well. Stories aren't selling like they used to.
Even car guys are having trouble selling cars, and noaly
they're always loaded.

Yeah all the time. I have friends of mine who.

Speaker 3 (01:51:46):
Are car salesmen, and I said, man, Eric, we're just struggling. Yeah,

Okay, yeah, great, uh huh. And I love them that
every Bold they have out there has got one protection
bill from me.

Speaker 2 (01:52:14):
So my hair never moved.

Speaker 3 (01:52:15):
