So welcome to the show. Focus. It's a happy, snappy
Saturday morning. To be hot and snappily hot today, snappily
snappily hot, snappily it'd be really hot, and there's some
rain coming on that later on. Really supposed to be
a rainy weekends. But no, I'm being careful. Look see
you won't eve bet a clod hopper already, so why
(01:14):
bother being careful?
Speaker 4 (01:15):
On?
Speaker 3 (01:15):
My coffee is all gone? So who cares if you
knocked my cup over? It's almost four? Is that two
weeks in a row you lost your coffee tipstick? You
over here knocked my coffee off like a purpose? What's
wrong with you? Man? I didn't do it up. I
didn't even do it. You knocked it over. You're such
a clumsoid man, you really are anyway, So a little
(01:37):
shuffling today. Captain Jimbo's fishing some other part of the
planet today, really, so guesser's back in the box? Man,
I'm gonna say, Captain deb Captain and Sao himself, Captain Robert. No, yeah,
your favorite guy, man, he is. He takes many shots
at me. Well yes, and you like that? Well yes,
you feed on that like a shark frenzy. Yes, pretty much. Yeah,
(02:00):
he's white. He patially show you bring him on. Oh
he's first, he's first. You got to introduce him though.
He's your guy, right technically, even though he's my friend.
I heard somebody saying not yet. Okay, so we'll find
out what he's on. Oh you know, we should talk
about then. Oh you're no, not your snake head yet, No,
not your snake yet.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
You gotta sayd Joe, what happened?
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Ah?
Speaker 5 (02:17):
Well, funny you asked Stephen. So oh, by the way,
hello Stephen, good morning.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Yeah, it's okay.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
I didn't get there yet. Okay, I'm just saying, oh
super is he doing that? I'm just saying I'm friend.
I introduced Stephen. That's no proble. Fine.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
And by the way, you guys spilt the coffee last week.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
Sad Jeff and knife Jeff. Okay, oh now, Robert Treddy,
Sorry Joey, you couldn't do your thing? Okay. Well, so
this man is on the real insanity. He's actually on
the show with a really bad cold. He's kind of
sick and I feeling well, but actually had the strength
and the power to get up a talk with us
this morning. It's a lot of strength. It's the kind
of guy he is. Man put up with us that
(02:57):
don't put it back in the show.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Robert, did you get sick because you have to work
with Eric?
Speaker 3 (03:03):
There we go? Shoot, yeah, Robert, good morning to your brother.
How are you? Man? Hey Robert, good morning, Good morning guys.
How you guys doing. We're doing so far? Not great.
It's a crazy morning. Hey listen, man, I'm glad you're
feeling a little bit better on a show. We appreciate you, buddy,
big time. Man. So we've seen crazy weather this week,
(03:24):
rain storms and heat combined. Rob, what's the fisher bit? Like, Man,
just turn things.
Speaker 6 (03:29):
Off, Rod, it turned it turns it on, man. But uh,
you know, it's the problem is getting out there. You
know pretty much, it's been windy, it's been rainy, it's
gonna be rain I think this the entire weekend, if
I'm not mistaken. But it actually turns it on, man.
I mean I would love to get out there, but
you know, it's it's been rough.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
It's been rough.
Speaker 6 (03:51):
The last time we were out there it was I
believe last Wednesday. Wow, man, really yeah, Oh yeah, it's
it's been Uh you're out there and you just get
a little window and then you're like, oh man, dodging
storms and everything. So you have to come right back in.
And as you guys, you guys already know my history.
You know, I attract the electricity, so you know that
(04:14):
is right.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
I did a short video on that Casey always is
brand new. Captain robertson, Captain, I know he's been struck
by lightning, survived.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
His boat was struck by lightning. He wasn't personally.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Struck by a struck by.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
It's a little difference in that.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Why do you want to u clarified things? Okay, you
said he was lightning. Most people get struck by lightning.
Die my god. Okay, whatever, he was crowded, okay, being
technical whatever, So he roped back grounded, unlike you. Back
to you, Robert, Sorry, buddy, go ahead, continue on, sir,
thank you, Yeah, go ahead. I was gonna say, okay,
(04:52):
so it's been nasty lightning, rain, whatever. Now we're in
the month of October, and we talked a little bit
last night. You said October November just ever fishing. Is
that it turnout to get better? Oh? Yeah, absolutely, man.
Speaker 6 (05:04):
This is my one of my favorite times a year.
The water starts cooling off. You got the bait posits
are moving in a little shallower and the orre you
have the mullet run right now.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
Yeah, and pretty much what you got.
Speaker 6 (05:14):
What you're looking for is you're looking for the showers
of mullets or you're looking for showers of baallet. Who
when you see these predators just just just they're vowing
these fish. So uh, pretty much what you gotta do
is just just keep an eye up for the bait.
And you know, so as soon as you see any
type of showers or anything, just go look, go look.
You're gonna find any any type of fish undeath them out.
(05:35):
A lot of times, you like, you have mahi in
close this time of year, you have sale fish really
close entire you know, this time of year. And uh,
you know, right now we have a black fan running
really really good right now.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
Man.
Speaker 6 (05:47):
Uh you know we've been catching our good uh you
know limit of black fan, you know, you know term.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
For a vessel.
Speaker 7 (05:53):
But they're out there right now.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
So are these big black fan? Are they like football sized?
Speaker 8 (05:59):
No?
Speaker 6 (05:59):
These these are the smaller size, Joe.
Speaker 9 (06:01):
These are like you know that little.
Speaker 6 (06:02):
Football size, you know, those eight pounders, seven pounders, not
the really big ones that they'll come in here right
now in you know, December, you know, January, you know, February.
Speaker 5 (06:12):
Right yeah, Because you know it's funny, we on like
a couple of shows ago, we were talking about how
like with Blackfinn it kind of changed where now they're
they're catching jumbos still.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
You know, I mean occasional, not like it is in men.
Speaker 6 (06:26):
I mean I mean yeah, I mean, don't don't get
me wrong, like we we got like, yeah, exactly. So
let's say last week we had eight eight of them
were about average around seven pounds, and then we had
that one that was you know, that eighteen pounder you know. Yeah,
so yo, you have that sporadic one still in there, right,
But yeah, they're out there right now, especially whenever it's
(06:47):
you know, thundering and it's gloomy out, they actually come
out to the surface and feed.
Speaker 10 (06:51):
So that's what I like about that too, Right to.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Audience Robert to get about blackfin Sua and their eyeballs
being so successible, I guess, right. So, when it's a
Sunday morning, let's chance to catch black veno as opposed
to a cloudy, overcast day.
Speaker 6 (07:06):
Yeah, correct, So if if it's if it's sunny out,
pretty much it takes a lot more to bring them
up because we like to live bait chump, so it
takes a it takes a lot to bring them up.
You know, when it's a sunny morning as opposed to
a gloomy morning.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Uh, you know pretty much.
Speaker 6 (07:24):
Where they have really really good eyesight. A lot of
people don't know this, but they have really good eyesight.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
So on a.
Speaker 6 (07:30):
Gloomy morning, as soon as you start chumming those live
chumpers that they'll start eating right away. So yeah, it
takes a lot a while Eric to bring to bring
them up from from the depths.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
When we're on our sunny day, I think of Robert
you know what, man, they like that gloomy weather. Yeah,
for these two hours six to eight o'clock should be
a great bite of tune it because we're on a
very gloomy show. Yeah very much. Hey.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
By the way, you guys about the weather, the wind
is supposed to lay down a little bit on Sunday.
It's not going to be as Gus Steve, so some
folks may have an opportunity.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
To get out. He had to mention something about the day.
I knew it. Yeah, I knew a fan of potoon boat.
Speaker 6 (08:15):
Calling this guy mister mister Silvan over here.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
I sold him last week, man, I sold it below cost,
So I did sell a potoon boat. Yeah, does that
mean you get a below cost a check? Oh my
commission is well below cost. That doesn't even pay for
a technic cash believe me.
Speaker 6 (08:32):
But I can hear is the damn what is it
the Gilligan song in the background with freaking Eric this story?
Speaker 11 (08:40):
Yes, that's a Brady Brady but yeah, sixty game.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Okay, Oh my god, what Rob jump in that sheet
one day and just take over help me out here.
But I should man anyway. So anyway, but so, uh,
bottom fishing at all, we have a touch about the
bottom stuff at all, which we kind of like to
gloss over a lot for some reason. I have no
idea why.
Speaker 6 (09:10):
Well, I've been doing as far as bottom fishing is
mainly my my nighttime fishing trip. Uh so it's been
pretty yellow tail mainly, Eric, not not you know, necessarily
targeting like bottom fish. So pretty much go out to
the reef, your anchor up on the reef, chum, you know,
get the yellow tail up, and then we'll we'll throw
out you know, like a you know, mutton snapper. We
(09:33):
call it the munt snapper rod. We'll throw out a
month snapper rod, I mean, And we were catching our
sporadic month snapper here and there. But cool, havn't havn't
been like specifically targeting like bottom.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Fish, mh like keeper muttons or just oh yeah, yeah,
absolutely we've been.
Speaker 6 (09:50):
We've been adding about four four a trip.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Uh you know uh, and then you know one.
Speaker 6 (09:55):
Group are here and there, but not literally targeting, you know,
like you know groupers or you know I'm targeting.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
All mutton this time or nothing like that. It's just sporadic.
Any any mangroves, Oh yeah, absolutely, we have.
Speaker 6 (10:09):
We have mangroves come into the chump slick. We got
a nice yellow tail right now out there. As long
as you have you know, floating water, nice current, you're
good to go. The mangroves usually are a little you know,
you're catching sporadic when you have.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
The school of yellow tael behind the boat.
Speaker 6 (10:25):
However, if you move a little shallower you catch them
right off the reef in twenty eighteen twenty feet of water,
you'll catch them there. There've been some good sizes there,
I say about two pounds pound two pound mangroves.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
But yeah, they're around Joe, cool, close your question, Joe
the double D word yeap any any wah, yeah, got that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 6 (10:56):
So last last moon phase we caught a couple with Joe.
But this this uh, this moon phase as as you
know right now, we're in the three quarter moon right now.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Yeah, so I mean it's gonna be blowing.
Speaker 12 (11:09):
So I mean we haven't been able to get.
Speaker 6 (11:12):
Anything on this moon face. But last moon phase we
caught a couple. Uh and pretty much we caught him
on live bait. I wasn't trolling or anything like that.
We just caught him on live bait.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (11:23):
Pretty much a complete live dog why you know, flat
line out there and we caught a nice one.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
It wasn't a big one as a teenager, but you know,
was it.
Speaker 5 (11:31):
Was it a shotgun where it was like far out
or was it just regular free life.
Speaker 6 (11:37):
No, it's pretty much just you know, not not even
that far out. It was just bump trolling off the
out riggers with uh with live uh yeah, with a
live doggy and you just bump troll, bump row. And
what I what I like to do is there's benitas
out there right now. And what I like to do
is I like to instead of going through the Banita school,
I usually go on the edge of the Banita school,
(11:59):
and I tried to look my simrad.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
Yeah, exactly, I look at my.
Speaker 6 (12:02):
Simrad, Yes, and I tried any type of marks, you know,
look like a snake or whatever. I try to pretty
much stay consistent where I see those marks. And a
lot of the time it's actually wahoo attacking these schools
or trying to eat these schools of benita.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
That's what it is.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
Yeah, because Robert, A lot of people don't know still
to this day, even though we talk about it a lot,
a lot of people don't know that. When you're in
schools of banita, or you're catching a whole bunch of
beanita and you're like, man, there's beanita everywhere. They are
literally being attacked right under that school.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
Absolutely big wah. They're eating that absolutely absolutely.
Speaker 6 (12:42):
There's been times where, you know, let's say, if I
know that they're there, and you know, let's say I'm
plainer fishing or whatever, you're gonna get sandwiched up. All
your lines are gonna get sandwiched up by beanita. But
I guarantee you one of those lines is not going
to be a banita. One of those lines actually going
to be a waffle.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Exactly.
Speaker 9 (13:00):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
Yeah, Rob the clock says, we're going to take a
break here in my friend but the fish on the

him on the show. It would be a blast. Man.
I work with this guy before, as you know, or
done that no back at my other joint podcast, Yeah,
I know. And he and I would see each other
every day. Sorry, he would treat me as rudely there
as he does now on the show. And every day
that saw him every day every day. Yeah. Can you
(13:41):
imagine if I saw you every day he walked up,
his first word is watering? You say hey, Eric, I
go to fu and I'd say, hey, what's up? Rob?
But if you back? And then when he had a
great chat the whole day, see, I would just give
you hugs. No, you wouldn't give me. I wouldn't get
near you. Why you're you're with you're tainted. Man, What
do you mean you're affected?

Speaker 22 (17:17):
There a Brandon and Joe Hector.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Yea a really weird uh situation with some of these
weird situations, it's a weird association. Oh yeah, where weird show.
Welcome back to the show. Let's say, happy Saturday morning.
And you're number nineteen by the way, going on. Wow,
Notic a Ventures Weekly Fisherman Show. Thank you very very much.
Last year. Yeah, not a chance it's gonna go to
(17:42):
I'm dead. So this guy is back online one Yeah,
world record snake had holder eight times over. Oh I
got a lot to talk about with it. And I
saw him on Facebook this week nailing some big big
snakes man. He was bagging him. Yeah he was. And
you'll you'll have a chance of tires. And now with
our guy here, Okay, you've been waiting. I'm allowed. I'm
(18:04):
I am allowed. Thank you. I appreciate that.
Speaker 5 (18:07):
Thank you for allowing me to talk about an epic
battle and fish.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
Thank you, little Joy, Thank you friend. Let's bring it
Corey to Akowski, the Snakehead King. Corey, Hey, Corey.
Speaker 9 (18:19):
Yay, how you doing. Good morning?
Speaker 3 (18:21):
You so happy? He did the laugh. Well, I'll get
the laugh already. There it is again, Cory. Just so
you know, Joe gut he thinks of your world record
snakehead on a pass. No, no, well no, not the
not the fish itself. I think, what the bait. Well, no, dude,
the contest. Okay, tell him, won't you tell him what
(18:43):
you did? So we get it out of the wall,
all right. So here's what happened, Corey. So I, my sister,
my sister, my daughter goes to a like a homeschool
outdoor short on the pre set up here, get to
the point some people understand what's cutting him off.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
He might be able to say, seriously, whiz.
Speaker 5 (19:01):
So I had I only had with me a little bait,
one of those little bait rods.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
So long story short, I went out.
Speaker 5 (19:09):
I had some bread that from MIA's lunch box and
she left it in the truck. So I took like
a piece of the bread. I caught like this little
sunfish on the bread with my bait rod. But I
don't have I couldn't transfer that to a bigger rod.
Long story short, I just tossed it out just to
see rod goes.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
Crazy.
Speaker 5 (19:30):
I cannot believe the thing didn't spool me or snap off.
It was eight pound test, Okay, and long story short,
it never is.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Joe, go ahead.
Speaker 5 (19:41):
I landed this big snakehead. I'm not going to say monster,
but it had to be. It had to be nine, ten,
eleven pounds had to be. Why couldn't you weighdn't I
had nothing with me because I was at MIA's camp,
so I just went there to pick her up and uh,
and then they they went longer than I thought, so
(20:03):
I was like, let me just throw a rod out
in this little pond over here. My question to you is,
could that have been a record if I would have like,
I don't even know how you'd go about that process. Yeah,
would that been close? Or maybe a record with eight
pound test?
Speaker 23 (20:22):
Uh, there's there's a possibility of it for that line
class eight pounds. I'd have to look at the record
for that line class that I haven't looked in a
few years. But as long as they didn't as long
as they because they used to have it where it
was bunched up with the other species of snakehead, so
you'd have to compete with like the giants and the
northerns and the you know, the bull's eyes that you know,
(20:44):
you'd have to compete with all of them because they
would all be bunched up in the line class record.
But from what I heard, I think they changed that
where they're the species are all individual, they have their
individual line class from what I heard. But i'd have
to look at that. I haven't looked in a few
years on that on that end, Okay, but there's a possibility. Yeah,
there's definitely, as long as it's not competing with like
(21:06):
the giants, because some of those guys have somehow caught
not somehow, but they've caught some some pretty big fish
over Malaysia and highland stuff on the giants, Corey, not really.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Corey, could Eric and Joe possibly you're talking about line class?
Could they possibly win in a no class fishing tournament?
He listened to him, laugh laughing.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
Speech laughing, speechless. The stupidity that comes out of that world.
That's great. Back on you, Corey, you're the star of
the show right now. I saw on you.
Speaker 24 (21:43):
Bro.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
He's a sneaked guy too. How's how's your week? Bed
where those sneakeheads caught? Tell the story your story place.
Speaker 23 (21:49):
Yeah, yeah, so I had a repeat client from last year.
It was it was last the last time this girl
fished me. The last time they was turn her boyfriend,
but she came by herself this time, so it was
she got into him pretty good. She uh, I think
she ended up with fifteen, could have got probably another fifteen. Wow,
(22:13):
she got it. She got a ten pounder. Ten pounder
was the first fish she caught it the day, so
that kind of set the bar for the for the
rest of the day. That was her biggest fish. And
then she got another one that was close to eight
and seven and so cut cut some other ones. Uh,
(22:34):
lost one that was probably well over ten pounds. The
thing sounds like a bowling ball hit the water man
when it hit top water. It was all top water too,
so that made it even better. And yeah, it was
very good. Uh just you know urban canals and lakes
of you know, later Hill and uh, you know, sunrise
(22:55):
we were fishing, so you know, we.
Speaker 12 (22:58):
Just fishing different places.
Speaker 8 (23:00):
It was.
Speaker 23 (23:00):
It was blown a little bit that day too, so
it was you know, they were still hitting pretty good.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
I mean, this was her first time catching snake. Has
this a little kid.
Speaker 23 (23:11):
No, no, no, she's no, she's she's a grown adult
and she's she's been you know, she's she's fish for him. Actually,
she could throw a bait caster better than most guys.
Speaker 9 (23:22):
I'll have to say.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Me too, I'm not.
Speaker 23 (23:26):
I have to say she was. She was casting into
instructions and most people don't even try to cast into.
Speaker 9 (23:33):
It's pretty impressible.
Speaker 23 (23:34):
So you know, she could fish. So it was but
it showed, you know, she that was a ten pounder
was good.
Speaker 9 (23:41):
That made her day.
Speaker 23 (23:41):
That was what we were looking for.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
Really, So that's awesome man.
Speaker 23 (23:44):
Yeah, but yeah, no, it's it's a good time for
them right now. That the bites and really good. I
even went out myself and caught some large fish when
I got out there myself, So it's a it's a
good time for them. So it was what with the
rain especially, So yeah, Corey.
Speaker 9 (24:02):
Out there and go go for them.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
The months coming up with October November, December, a lot
of our captains happened to like that for the saltwater
off short kind of thing. Are you a fan of
the changing weather and these next couple of months being
better for snakeheads and bass or whatever else?
Speaker 9 (24:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 23 (24:17):
So the usually this month and a little bit of
November until we start getting the cold fronts because that starts,
you know, kind of throwing kind of a monkey wrench
into the bite. But this month in the beginning of
November is always on my favorites for them. They just
get in the post spawn, which they're you know, they're
done mostly smalling, and they're still going to find them,
(24:39):
but they just get into a really you know, they
feed big time, so it's a really good time to
fish for them, and the peacock basket going, you know,
they start schooling up. It's pretty it's good for a
lot of different species, you know. Everything bass start picking
up depending hopefully you know, like now in the Everglades
of waters's high and that kind of of screws it up.
(25:00):
But which I'm out there today, so we're going to
see how that is. It's pretty high. It looks like yeah,
but uh yeah, I kind of everything starts getting gegg at.
The water starts kind of cool and off, so everything
starts fighting a little better.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
Yeah, Well, Corny got a rock or clock here in
my friend. But to fish with you and the dud,
like you've deale with your clients, This week. I got
one more.
Speaker 5 (25:19):
Question, Corey, how about the How about the peacocks, any
big peacocks?
Speaker 23 (25:27):
I I haven't. I didn't get to the peacocks. I'm
gonna try the large amout today. We're going to see
how that is.
Speaker 12 (25:34):
Said.
Speaker 23 (25:35):
The waters some out in the Everglades. Now, I don't know,
it's pretty I'm kind of standing right here right now
where I launch, and it's pretty high.
Speaker 9 (25:41):
Yeah, so we'll see.
Speaker 23 (25:42):
How I'm not surprised all the rain we've had, but
we'll see how that is today. But yeah, I'm sure
the peacocks eve been. They've been getting into that school
of mode. So you know, it's that's always a fun
bite if you can run into a school of them.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
Okay, coolie man, so to fish with you again. Please
give us your context, sir, if you would.

We got a man that can talk longer than both
of us could find. Oh yeah, what's Wayne gets cracked up.
There's no stopping this man on the reward fishing fleet.
So the legendary Captain Wayne Cod singing day.
Speaker 10 (30:46):
Good morning. That's a nice intro. Thank you appreciate that
you're walking real quick, Hey Wayne, what yay? Good morning man,
good morning. What's your subject to day?
Speaker 3 (30:55):
Yeah, buddy cod So in Wayne's world, what's happen? But
in Wayne's world, Wayne's world.
Speaker 29 (31:03):
We're doing the same thing, except except we have a
little breeze coming up here. So I had the guys, Uh,
I said, man, you got to bring out the kites especially,
you know, get them all ready to go so we
can start doing a little kite fishing. You know, this
breeze blowing. So my favorite when it's like this is
about a half.
Speaker 10 (31:17):
Inch plywood kite. It works really well.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
So, uh, half inch plywood kite, Wayne, I mean, yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:24):
Of course.
Speaker 9 (31:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 29 (31:27):
Right, let's hope the winds aren't as bad as the
forecast is. So so anyway, we get a little turn
around here. We've been catching a few bluefish, which is
a little crazy on the outlom tied there right by right,
but you know it's funny right by the range markers
there the bluefish. Yeah, that's a fish joke, it is, right, Yeah, yeah,
(31:50):
it's we haven't really mugged them.
Speaker 10 (31:52):
We have ran the big schools and them. We were
into a few on the way out.
Speaker 29 (31:55):
So but that it's been kind of the stock and
standard stuff, you know, some mutton snapper, some yellow tails,
a king here there.
Speaker 10 (32:01):
We did catch a couple of sales this week.
Speaker 29 (32:04):
We are fishing live bait almost every trip, which is
a good thing. If we don't if we don't get
it for the customers from from a couple of our
Latin connections, we can. We sometimes catch our own. You know,
we put a chum bag out. A lot of guys
don't know. You can do that right off Miami. You
can just put a chum bag out. You're gonna have
a hoop net if you don't.
Speaker 10 (32:22):
Want to deal with subiki's and all that stuff.
Speaker 29 (32:24):
Hoop net is probably the most peaceful way of catching
all the live bait you need.
Speaker 10 (32:30):
You know what, it's the garment that was.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
What's that that reminds me of the day's of fishing
Captain Boucher's boat. He was notorious for having me and
my two sides off the back of the boat pulling
up to whatever marker was. And yeah, we would sit
there and use the bikies catching him live bait from
I think, I look at the clock. I've gotta I
got a half day charter and I've just spent two
hours of it trying to catch freaking bait. So yeah,
(32:53):
we used to do that, by the way, okay.
Speaker 10 (32:58):
For yeah, it's no good man. You can't do it
on the customer's dime. So for years.
Speaker 29 (33:03):
I guess what helped me me get a leg up
on some of the folks is I would be out
there two hours before that by myself. There's two reasons
for it. First off, I'm back at the dock. Bring
me a cup of coffee. The wells full. They don't
say when, where or how. Let's go fishing right now.
What happened was is a lot of the guys got
(33:25):
got Well, well, let's just take the customers to catch
the bait. And guess what that does. It teaches them
where you catch them and if they own their own boats,
guess who you see at that spot the next day?
Speaker 3 (33:34):
Hello, the next week.
Speaker 10 (33:36):
No, I'm not kidding you.
Speaker 29 (33:37):
I had a well one of the spots that I
think Bouncer called he you call a couple of spots
Wayne's world that I found.
Speaker 10 (33:42):
But that's kind of I'm very honored.
Speaker 29 (33:45):
There was a bait spots to the north of the
inlet that I found the thirty years ago. It didn't
take long. But once a few of the guys found it,
next thing, you.
Speaker 10 (33:54):
Know, you got fifty people a day throwing cast.
Speaker 29 (33:56):
Nets and they destroyed the bottom. I think that's destroyed
the and the bait disappeared. I mean giant pilchards we
get casting it. I was doing it off the party boat.
Speaker 4 (34:05):
Man.
Speaker 29 (34:05):
I pull a party boat up and I'd have the
mate drive the boat. I'd get up in the bow
and i'd point circle and throw the net and that's it.
Speaker 10 (34:13):
But you know, right now, hey, guys are still molded around.
You all want to.
Speaker 29 (34:16):
Catch big fish, don't you know. Forget about the goggalize
and stuff.
Speaker 10 (34:20):
You get silver bullet that are eight.
Speaker 29 (34:21):
Ten inches long, fishing for everything. There's not a fish
out there that won't need everything, from salefish to sharks,
the groupers, big muttons, great bait. It's kind of a
forgotten thing. Hey, you don't need yes, sir.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
Question about bait. He's still talking, but has a tie
into what he's talking about. How about do you miss
bug lighte for catching bait?
Speaker 29 (34:43):
Well, for me personally, I wasn't down there as much
as the smaller boats, but absolutely I remember Jimmy Lewis
telling me the day they ripped it out, and it
was like it sent shockwaves to the community, which, by
the way, then you know Bruce Mark's a local attorney.
He's spearheaded the efforts to keep the bent Range marker
there and pretty much by himself. Yeah, we all threw
(35:04):
a few bucks in because cool place. And how many
people even go there anymore? I don't get it. I
used to go out there and see ten boats pulling
up and chumming. You don't see if it's a bait's there.
You can catch bait there all the time.
Speaker 3 (35:14):
Joe gave me the luck by the way way and
he's not sure what bug light was or yeah, I
don't know what this well used to.
Speaker 10 (35:20):
Be a marker that, Yeah, bug light. Bug light was.
Speaker 29 (35:24):
A marker to the entrance to the main channel off
south of keep its game and it no longer became
functional and they didn't see because of all the GPS's
and the whole thing. They didn't feel For some reason,
the government didn't feel it.
Speaker 10 (35:38):
Was necessary to keep it.
Speaker 29 (35:41):
Keep it operating, so they paid a ton of might
have somebody rip it out and say just leaving it there,
They left it there.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
It woul cause such a storm way and you saw
the social media of course about it. Of course they
try to save it, salvage and keep it, but they governed.
I have to say, too bad fishing, guys. It's out
of here. Yeah sounds about right. But that was a big,
big lost, man. It was a big yeah anyway, So
what else is bite on the reward this week?
Speaker 12 (36:07):
Man?
Speaker 10 (36:08):
So you know we're still catching fish well the night.
You know, our local night customers have.
Speaker 29 (36:13):
Learned that pretty much as soon as you turned the
corner of the summer, which we already have. When these
first big winds start hitting, the night guys back off
because you know what, it's not much fun going out
at night when it's.
Speaker 10 (36:23):
Six foot seas five six foot seas. So we haven't
even been out this week at all at night. So
it's it's understandable, it's very understandable. But this is going
to be a good thing.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Man.
Speaker 29 (36:32):
I'm hopeful we get a northeaster blow thirty knots for
a week because they'll stir things up. And I got
a feeling the fishing is going to be amazing. So
you're gonna you need to see ma he's coming in close.
Speaker 10 (36:41):
We didn't have.
Speaker 29 (36:42):
We caught quite a few decent mahis early in the
week when we had this crummy green water out there
and two hundred feet and we just rods would bend
over with nice dolphin, going okay, well what's this you know?
And I'm I'm assuming all the fresh water is being
dumped out, so that's what creates all that, you know
on that near shore and that ugly green stuff, you know, right, So,
(37:06):
but the dolphin, It's funny, even in scattered grass, the
dolphin were there and they were not you know, they
were nice, nice small gaffers will be caught a handful of,
you know, several days in a row out of nowhere,
which is the way I like to find them.
Speaker 10 (37:18):
I like them to find me, man, Yeah, like them
to find me.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
All right, Wait, what it's some buddy boy to fish
on your boat? To get kids with thirteen boys of
thirteen under get out free?
Speaker 10 (37:27):
Still absolutely, absolutely absolutely.
Speaker 29 (37:31):
We've got a couple of big events coming up with
with kids from over Town you Center and Sea Grant
and we got some big deals coming up here.
Speaker 10 (37:37):
So awesome anyway, looking really looking forward to that.
Speaker 3 (37:41):
So wait, have a good weekend. Thanks Saturday.
Speaker 10 (37:45):
I appreciate you, all right, gentlemen Fishingmiami dot com. You
can't beat it. Hey, we got my charter boat back
going again.
Speaker 29 (37:50):
I posted that at thirty seven Topaz. It's my little,
my own special ride. So cool, y'all keep it in
mind very much.
Speaker 3 (38:00):
Brother. All right. So I talked to Jeff here at
night Fortio a text. He said, this Spanish connection is
pretty shady today.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
Just like him.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
So let's find out how shady this call is gonna be,
shall we? Let's do it Jim with Chief Matthew, Jim,
Are you there?
Speaker 2 (38:18):
My Fred blowing bubbles?
Speaker 24 (38:20):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (38:21):
Who's you should stay with this?
Speaker 3 (38:27):
Oh my god? Its helium? Jimmy back again? Man, you're
you're on night trucks again. Dude, yep, you're talking with
that Mickey. Let it roll like that?
Speaker 2 (38:40):
Is that skip? Where is that?
Speaker 3 (38:43):
Just have Jim go like this. I love this big
go ahead, So I know, Jim really good.
Speaker 2 (38:49):
Not Thursday.
Speaker 3 (38:50):
All right, listen, we got out, keep going. You're fine.
Speaker 24 (38:55):
It's been and it's been ugly.
Speaker 2 (38:59):
It's not that good, Jeff.
Speaker 3 (39:02):
Jack, So this hang up on the man and then
try to call him back. If you can Okay, but
he'll try real hard, just try hard enough, just dowling
him a very slow Okay. I know Jim's the only
guy to show this got issues with his phone. He's
the only guy with a helium thing, right, Yeah, No
other captains have had that problem, and this just Jim Matthew.
I think he's got a flip phone. He I would
(39:24):
not doubt as far back as he goes, he might
have that. He might have that shoulder phone I had
back in the eighties. I think he does. When I
saw him, I think he had one curious falling around
like a wheelbarrow like a cart. Like remember those old
ninety phones? Yeah, man, I was around, dude, remember thank
you I had those? You really had one and a
(39:44):
monstrous phone. Man, Wow, could put in your pocket? Couldn't
put it? Put it in the wheelbarrow? Like, how did
you carry that? You walked back when I came out.
You thought you were so cool, man, You were just
glad to walk into your head and be swinging it
by as you're walking weird and just thought you were
cool as hell. Yeah, I think Jim's he's just back. Yeah,
all right, Jim round Deber two.
Speaker 24 (40:03):
Welcome back, Jack, let's try let's try better.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
What kind of crap phone are you using? Man?
Speaker 24 (40:10):
I got the latest latest Apple iPhone? All right, buddy,
so I don't know what What's.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
Three would never be the problem with the radio station.
Speaker 3 (40:21):
Now talk about your world. What's happening with the dive team, man,
go ahead, buddy, all right.
Speaker 24 (40:29):
First of all, it's been ugly top side. Just to
get out was really a challenge, and it's blown up
now for the weekend, I don't think it's going to
be good. Maybe next weekend. I think we're kind of
targeting that. So let's see what happens under the water,
gentle north current. But I felt like I was in
a Washington machine, back and forth as black the surge.
(40:51):
You could feel it. It was ugly visibility. If you
lucky you had twenty feet, it was really ugly. But
we're still catching lobster. We're still you know. Every now
and then a big fat red grouper swims in front
of me and I have to spirit, And a big
fat hogfish swims in front of me and I have
(41:11):
to spirit.
Speaker 10 (41:12):
I mean, that's the.
Speaker 24 (41:13):
Way it works. You know, you can see good enough
to shoot fish out of that I love it.
Speaker 3 (41:21):
Man, how big are the hog? You know what?
Speaker 24 (41:25):
And that was a good that's a good question because
there is a ton of big hogs out there. I
literally passed up on some that. I said, man, you're
looking pretty good. You might be eighteen inches, and I'm going, yeah,
but I want to catch more lobster. I want to
catch more lobster. So I actually passed up on a bunch.
One of those eighteen inches. Took me to that twenty
four inch fat red grouper and I went, oh, well,
(41:48):
I think I'll shoot you. So I speared him, and
then yeah, that was pretty good.
Speaker 3 (41:56):
Word.
Speaker 10 (41:56):
Please, I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (41:58):
I dispatched them.
Speaker 24 (42:00):
I got you better better. I dispatched them, all right.
And then and then I literally on the second dive,
I'm looking and there's a twenty inch hogfish. Literally he's
he's face down, hanging ten feet.
Speaker 3 (42:18):
Talk about dispatching on this show. You just knocked out
half the species under one.
Speaker 24 (42:25):
You're only allowed. You only allowed one one hog fish
per person per day. That's it. And it has to
be sixteen inches.
Speaker 3 (42:34):
Sixteen divers though you're you're taking every damn hogfish is no, no, no.
Speaker 24 (42:39):
That that that I was the only one that got
a nice fat hog fish.
Speaker 3 (42:42):
I was it, buddy, You know what you said about
they're like.
Speaker 24 (42:45):
Rare, no, no, no, I just wait for the real big ones.
I wait for the Wow, that's a big hog fish.
Speaker 3 (42:54):
You mean the reproducing ones of me right to bring
back more babies.
Speaker 24 (42:57):
The males, the males.
Speaker 3 (42:59):
The way it works, you can have a female pregnant. Okay,
so just knock them all out.
Speaker 24 (43:03):
Listen. Here's here's how everyone. Everyone in the hogfish world
starts off as a female eric you may want to
know this, and then it transitions to a male, all
of them when they're needed.
Speaker 10 (43:17):
When they're needed fish.
Speaker 24 (43:19):
So the environment, the environment dictates what goes on as
far as when they become when they get more males.
And that's how they knew that the species was in trouble.
We were literally seeing ten inch male hogfish and that
was that's not good. And you can see the males
because they had the bigger suit. They have the brown stripe.
Speaker 3 (43:41):
Yes, God has called these underwater trainees. They're like another
hogfish or a transfish.
Speaker 2 (43:49):
Don't it's transfish.
Speaker 24 (43:52):
We're in trouble now. We're really going deep into it.
Speaker 3 (43:54):
A man, but they were wearing like pink skirts. Are
they a smart species?
Speaker 24 (44:02):
Jim, Oh, they're very smart at all. No. And what
happens is the male. It's a male dominant. You would
love this. They have their harem of females eric That
so literally down in Tortugis where there's not a lot
of pressure on hogfish, you see the one big male
and he's twenty four plus inches and he's surrounded by
(44:25):
eighteen twenty twenty two inch females. But when he gets
taken out, then one of those bigger females becomes the male.
That's what happens in the world of hog fishing. Crazy
all right, So there you go, there you go, and
actually go ahead realistically.
Speaker 5 (44:44):
Yeah, isn't there a name for a species that that's
both What is that called?
Speaker 24 (44:54):
I don't know, but you're right, there is a name
for it. And I'm not a marine biologist, so I
really wouldn't. No, But all I know is they go
from all all hog fished office females and then to
become males when they need them, when they.
Speaker 3 (45:10):
Do in real life, like one morning you woke up
and you got a cooter, it'd be weird.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
What coter what's that boy? You gotta stop.
Speaker 3 (45:19):
Bro're really were for a body part. We're going to
rock the clock. Man, I thought it was a turtle. No,
it's not.
Speaker 24 (45:29):
Kind of a blowout. I really think this week is
going to kind of be a blowout. And this is
the time that, hey, you start to clean up your gear,
look at what you need. And because now it's it's
we're getting into winter diving. Uh. The water temperature is
so good eighty four, but it's still gonna with all
this fresh water, it's going to start to get chilly.
You're so just keep in mind next weekend. I think
(45:52):
it's going to be good. All right.
Speaker 3 (45:54):
One last thing real quick. The coral. What's going on there?
Speaker 24 (45:58):
Not good? Now, good, buddy, not good. You know, it
got up to eighty eight degrees this summer, and I
tell you I would see every now and in a
white you know, like bleached out coral. Now it's everywhere.
The bleached quarrel are everywhere, and it's not looking very
pretty at all. And then we continue to dump that
(46:19):
green fresh water. I mean, we've had some rain here
in the last six weeks and it's all going out there.
So it's just that first twenty feet is ugly. Then
you get underneath it, you're okay. But in shallow I
had guys, buddies of mine try to get out on
Tuesday and dive and they couldn't see. They couldn't see
five feet thirty feet of water.
Speaker 3 (46:40):
All okay, buddy, nice technically good goodbye, Joe, he's done.
We have a starbry bucket away right out. Okay, Oh,
stay on point righthly. A minute late or two we
are start by. Bucket is being given away to the
first collar, the fall, first collar. Thank you, Kirk, appreciate you.
(47:03):
This box box has got all kinds of grape stuff,
the bucket, the chamby, the wash, the wax, the decorator,
rush reom mover and ondit goes. It's just loaded with
great stuff, Maric. People who received that actually send me
private messages about how great that stuff really is. Bad. Oh,
it's amazing. And at a rushroom mover you said, I
think Sean Rolves had it take roust off his wife's
(47:23):
car from that crazy bad water he gets over there.
Speaker 5 (47:27):
Yeah, so you know like a lot of the sprinklers, Yeah,
they shoot that. There's like a lot of iron in it,
so it's got that that it stinks, and it's not
that tinge that will clean off your car.
Speaker 3 (47:37):

Speaker 3 (52:53):
We've got a start bright winner out of the shoot here. Joey.
Oh yeah, Gentlemen's name is Eric Allen. Eric Allen, What
a cool, easy name that is finally sounds like a
former raider cornerback. Sound like a radio kind of guy's name,
Eric Alan, I like it, Eric, How you know, buddy? Hey,
Eric good Man? Great awesome brother. Congrab some one of
(53:15):
your strawberry buckets. You're heading to work? Huh awesome bro, Yes, sir,
all right, so you have a boat. I would assume maybe,
or maybe a friend neighbor has one.
Speaker 10 (53:25):
No, I'm seventeen foot grizzly tracker side console.
Speaker 3 (53:29):
Nice man. I think I'll shine up nice and that
Washington watching clean everyone else flats fisher kind of guy. Yeah, well,
so how long you've been a fan of the show.
Speaker 24 (53:39):
Oh?
Speaker 12 (53:39):
I listen every couple of weeks because I work every
other Saturday.
Speaker 3 (53:45):
So okay, so same. I like it makes you effor
to crack it up and they put up on this
for two hours. Yeah, well, Eric, I'll tell you what,
buddy boy, you're a great guy just for beating on
the show. We appreciate you being a fan of the program.
I'll call you from the show's over and take bucket.
You'll love it. Man to make that track or just
look mighty mighty fine, dude, you'll be banging out there, Bro.
Speaker 10 (54:04):
Appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (54:07):
Man, thank you, thank you, thank you brother bringing on
your mander if you were Joy captain. That was a week.
Speaker 12 (54:20):
What's up, guys, how's it going, Hey.
Speaker 3 (54:22):
Bud, I'm trying trying to do it like low and.
Speaker 12 (54:27):
Yeah, you know, the intro always throws them off every week.
I never know what to.
Speaker 3 (54:31):
Expect, you know, I know, all right, love it water
lad walking your dog? What are you doing, buddy walking
the dog?
Speaker 12 (54:38):
Man walking the dog.
Speaker 3 (54:39):
Walking the dogs Saturday there, buddy boy.
Speaker 12 (54:42):
Yeah, I mean, I'm sure it's just as when you're there.
Speaker 15 (54:44):
It is here.
Speaker 12 (54:45):
It's a it's gonna be pretty nautical out there. But
I mean there is a tournament going on today, sort
I think you oh this? They moved the Swordfresh Tournament
CIN tomorrow. Oh okay, yeah, I mean going out that
are our sword fish should be crazy. But no RB
tackles host in their their Snakehead tournament today, which yeah yeah.
(55:09):
So this year I decided not to fish it and
I became the way master for it because there's so
many young kids and new anglers in there, so I'd
rather be part of it instead of a competitor.
Speaker 3 (55:21):
So it's really cool. I saw the water guy Facebook
talking about it. Thirty bucks to editor is not really
a big nut. Yeah, man, jump at that tournament.
Speaker 12 (55:28):
Great now, it's it's one hundred percent proceeds back to
the anglers, and it just this is an overall good event.
Speaker 4 (55:34):
You know.
Speaker 12 (55:35):
That's what we need more of that too for these
newer anglers, younger anglers, kind of enhance the sport, get
it grown again, you know. Yeah, maybe a lot of
kayaks too.
Speaker 3 (55:46):
Yeah. You know these tournaments that are happening to Sean,
these big tournaments, these billfish tournaments. He's big, you know,
big ballers come in. It costs you fifty dollars of
the tournament. Joke. Those days are putting a small guy out.
You can't even touch it because well you got to
buy with the calcuttas. By the time you're in, you're
in for one hundred grand. Yeah, it's the same man.
(56:06):
Well that's how extreme was born.
Speaker 4 (56:08):
You know.
Speaker 3 (56:08):
We wanted to be the other guys. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
all right, Sean, sony fish this week for you matter what?
Uh no, not this week.
Speaker 12 (56:18):
But I'm dying to get out, man. I've been re rigging.
Everything's all tuned up so I'm hoping to kind of
push out tomorrow morning because this is a full moon
on Monday. It's the time of year where the hoover
are just starting to snap. So man, it's it's tough
missing this week here, but hopefully, hopefully tomorrow morning I'll
get out there.
Speaker 3 (56:36):
Well, let's talk about something else that's very informative. You're
a big fan of Doautical Ventures, right. You take your
kayak disas of course, only to get all kinds of
cool stuff on that. So what happens you bring your
reactate to Douonical Ventures. You say I want this, this
and this, and they just start assembling things and doing
a master job on it.
Speaker 12 (56:53):
They get all the accessories there, They got all the
Hobee parts there, well a bunch of other Actormarket part
you know, real Blazer, big Sano. You can pretty much
do anything you want to on these kayaks. But they
can go anywhere.
Speaker 2 (57:08):
I wanted to say to something. I a while back
needed a part for something for boat, and I had
to call a Mercury dealer for something. And then Mercury dealer,
a big dealer, didn't have it. But they said, why
don't you call Nautical Ventures I'm like, what, I I
didn't know this, But Nautical Ventures besides selling all these
awesome toys and kayaks and water toys and big yachts
(57:30):
and everything, they have an awesome service to and that
carries all the parts. Like we we hear here.
Speaker 3 (57:35):
Yeah, sure they are game man.
Speaker 2 (57:38):
They don't just tell you about They keep it up
like you're hearing here.
Speaker 3 (57:42):
So sure. So what's the current newish thing you added
to your acadomical ventures shots some kind of crazy advice
on nude s depth finder go Pro? What's all that thing? Man?
Speaker 12 (57:53):
I got a new GoPro mount on it. You got
some new rod holders for the front? Yeah, it's they
got everything there, And the most important thing for me
is a general meetans. They they hooked me up with
a new drive from Hobe for my three sixty so
when it comes tournament time, I can be out there
(58:13):
and just ready to go. No questions asked.
Speaker 3 (58:16):
What are they selling that adventurely called the civil As
Pod three sixties there at all? From Boomer?
Speaker 6 (58:22):
I don't know.
Speaker 24 (58:23):
I would.
Speaker 12 (58:24):
I would think they would, because I gotta tell you
that's like I said before, that is the ultimate upgrade
right there.
Speaker 3 (58:29):
For sure, we can't do a show without giving Boomer
Gazelle's a plug of the show. We have to h
a strugging entrepreneur. His seats early about twenty five thousand
dollars each, so deal, oh boy, all.
Speaker 12 (58:43):
Joking aside, his seats are the same price as a
Hobe replacement seat, if not cheaper.
Speaker 3 (58:51):
Wow, Boomers keeping the price. Very well done.
Speaker 12 (58:56):
Man there up three and not just say anything bad,
but Hoby just got bought out. As many people know,
they're in the process of moving their manufacturing to the
United States again, so their parts have been on back
order and they're gonna probably continue in back order for
the next few months. So Boomer's probably the biggest thing
(59:16):
right now is his seat is available.
Speaker 3 (59:19):
Right, so we got to get him in those stores. Man,
well that buy it though. Yeah, it could be called
a whole bass. Yeah, that's right, A whole bass is
a whole a whole bass. I just renamed the whole
company in one second. Yeah he was shot, agreed, he liked, okay, yeah.
Speaker 12 (59:38):
Yeah, no, it goes it flows.
Speaker 3 (59:40):
I love it goes it flows. Shot. Got there and
have a fun day with the dog. He takes the
time office when he is blowing don't be out there
then nasty stuff. Man, It's just nasty bad man. So yeah,
great stuff. I appreciate your sewing very much. Man.
Speaker 12 (59:53):
All right, I thought to you guys, see buddy, he
is the man man.
Speaker 3 (59:56):
Yeah, all right, take a little break, seven o'clock hour.
Coming up a little bit, Betty's on the show. We'll
talk about that big Jets lost to our hapless fins.
About I beg a game we wasn't really big area.
If we barely hung on at the end, I mean
literally we could have lost the game. Okay, and you
guys lost. Hell oh well yeah, Tyrek's out of here, dude,
he's gone. This hill's downhill for sure.
Speaker 9 (01:00:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:00:18):
We'll talk to a lot of great caps at a
whole lot more coming up here at Fox Sports nine

a lot of good stuff.

Man.

Learn about how fish change sexes with hawk fish going
from male to female.
Speaker 5 (01:03:30):
Interesting right, right, And in a group there can only
be one male to all the females.
Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
And when he dies, one of the females says, I'm
going to be a male. When Jim dispatches him with
the spirit of the you know what hole yes, then
the female steps up to be the male. How bizarre
is that? Very I need to read up on that.
Tell the truth, you know what I mean? And then
they sing lay down soundent. No they they actually they
sing the copa because they said no.
Speaker 2 (01:03:58):
Actually they sing.
Speaker 3 (01:04:00):
Oh I like that one better, Benny, Benny's fishing shars.
Did you watch that game there, Benny? Good morning brother?
What the biggest loser game? Now, let's face it, man,
Justin Fields made a ridiculous forty one yard untouched run
(01:04:21):
for a touchdown, which I even believe our defense just
let him slide through like Swiss cheese. That's what he does.
But that was pretty much the light of the Jets game. Yeah,
he doesn't pass, he runs. Yeah, he's not a great passer,
pocket passer, definitely not. But yeah, I was tough to
watch that game. I thought the Dolphins might actually blowing
the last minute or two like usual. They tried. They
sure did try. Your thoughts, Betty, I mean what, you're
(01:04:44):
still a Jet fan? Goodbye? Man? I mean, yeah, I

I mean, I don't want to.
Speaker 38 (01:04:54):
I don't want to make a comment about a guy
who's legs snapped in half during the game, but he
was one of the most annoying players in the lead.
I ain't got to see him no more. I never
seen a guy smiling so hard they'll getting carted off
the field. And the rumor has it he's so happy
he don't have to play with two and no more.
Speaker 3 (01:05:09):
He's getting he's getting paid. Wow, this is getting really man. Yeah,
the conspiracy theory going out here.
Speaker 5 (01:05:16):
You know what the worst part is, though, guys like
that all of our seasons are over before Halloween.
Speaker 3 (01:05:22):
That that just really the Raiders done now, Joe, Yes,
we're done. Oh yeah, you were such on a bandwagon.
Ha ha Heathle the first week or two, man, now
look at you, and Steven J. Gray alluded to by
the third loss, you're done. Man, You're out of here.
Speaker 38 (01:05:37):
And there's like four teams in the league that got
something to look forward to right now.
Speaker 3 (01:05:42):
I now, I'll tell you, I like the Super Bowl.
I'm picking the Chargers ago. Man. They look great, Yeah
they do look Chargers. They look really good. Yeah great,
And maybe Chargers Buffalo could be there. You know what
I mean, not in the super Bowl, in the championship, championship,
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, but he's went back
to fishing. My brother so nasty, would he? Whatever? God
woo Woody day there, buddy, what's going on?
Speaker 38 (01:06:02):
Yeah, we got no boats, but we got no boats
going out today. We've been giving deposits back for our
only trips we had this week. We didn't even leave
the dock this week for one trip.
Speaker 3 (01:06:11):
So wow.
Speaker 38 (01:06:12):
You know, that's not so often for us that we're
doing that. But you know, the weather between the weather,
between the weather man on TV acting like there's all
these storms coming telling people it's going to be rainy
and windy, and then the next day it's flat. You know,
it's just tough.
Speaker 3 (01:06:28):
The people.
Speaker 38 (01:06:28):
They'll cancel a trip because they hear the weather man's
report four days out and they don't even give us
time to to you know, give them our own report
and let them know how the ocean's going to be.
But trips are no trips, man. The fish are out there.
The fishing right now is just going off. I mean,
it's always this time of the year where the bite
is really hot and we don't have a lot of customers,
(01:06:49):
and you know, it's pretty much why we go commercial fishing.
Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
You know, there's still money.
Speaker 38 (01:06:53):
To be made out there. These mahi out there, they
are bigger and badder than they have been all summer.
They're swimming faster, the jumping higher out the water. They're
filling up the cooler. You know, nice, big fat ma
he's out there. I know you got Vinnie coming on.
Speaker 3 (01:07:08):
I think next.
Speaker 38 (01:07:09):
He's had one of the best mahi reports of the week,
I think out of all the charter guys.
Speaker 19 (01:07:12):
Oh, pretty nice, you know, a little south of us there.
Speaker 38 (01:07:17):
I can't wait to hear what he has to say
about that day. Sounded looked like an awesome day. But yeah,
it's uh, you know, it's that typical October fishing man.
We're close to this October full moon. The wahoo's are
going off and the Bahamas already sword fish are biting
on the sword grounds.
Speaker 3 (01:07:33):
It's just pretty hot right now. That huge question for him. Yeah,
it's really important. Okay, So what happened all that yellow
fin tuna you caught there, Betty? Oh boy, oh.
Speaker 38 (01:07:44):
Man, there's one slab left in my freezer. It says
Joe Slat. It says iHeartRadio on it. It's for everybody
to share.
Speaker 3 (01:07:57):
You said, Joe, then you've backed for the whole art team. Okay,
we know it says Joe and Eric.
Speaker 38 (01:08:04):
I was gonna say it says Joe and Eric on it,
but I know both of you guys barely show up,
so I mean I'm.
Speaker 3 (01:08:09):
Probably gonna eat it. We both call.
Speaker 24 (01:08:13):
Remember that joke.
Speaker 5 (01:08:13):
Come on, and you can't be mad at me, Eric,
because when Johnny from Johnny Jigs got a blue fin
tuna and he gave me.
Speaker 3 (01:08:21):
The slabs, I was a nice co host and I.
Speaker 5 (01:08:25):
Gave you half of mine did it was delicious, And Benny,
I appreciate you donating the yelephant to me.
Speaker 3 (01:08:32):
I will split that with my friend here friends, yes,
of course. All right, Well Benny, listen man, I'm glad
you're back in the area. I know you're in Jersey
for a while catching those monster yelephants. Yeah, and it
looked like a great trip. By the way, did you
see the whale sharks they saw? I saw the whale shirks. Yeah.
Pretty cool man, that's cool. So I'm glad you're back
to town. Benny. Get those boats back out, fishes strong
(01:08:53):
and make some money. Obviously. The whole game is called
making money paying your.
Speaker 38 (01:08:56):
Bills exactly right, Call up your local charter guys, whoever
your favorite is. It's a great time to go out
with them.
Speaker 3 (01:09:05):
The bites hot. They're slow. We can use the local
support right now.
Speaker 2 (01:09:08):
Beby probably gave up on his jets. But you know
we're just around the corner from Panthers Hockey, right, Benny.
Speaker 3 (01:09:14):
There you go.
Speaker 38 (01:09:15):
Oh yeah, there's a preseason game tonight. Actually, if anyone
wants to go, I got two extra tickets. I'm more
interested in the Kings game though.
Speaker 3 (01:09:21):
Here we go. The show tickets, the whole shill show
going on here.
Speaker 38 (01:09:26):
Yeah, we could give them away on the show the
ninth Color.
Speaker 3 (01:09:30):
We can't do that.
Speaker 2 (01:09:31):
We can't do that.
Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
I'm just let's do this, Benny Steve. It's like no
fishing charters. How do we create? My brother, what's the
best way to get hold of you?
Speaker 38 (01:09:40):
Yeah, give us to call anytime nine five four seven
zero six six five six five.
Speaker 3 (01:09:46):
Book your trips. Like I said, locals, hit us up.
Speaker 38 (01:09:48):
It's a great time to negotiate, get a deal out
of us.
Speaker 3 (01:09:51):
Did you mention the fact there's somebody drops on every
of our show. You drop your fee by one, he
doubles it. Yeah, yeah, David, come on, man, give a
break anyway. Thank you, Benny. That great. I feel bad
for all these caps like himself. I know, Jim O.
Thomas told me he's had no bookings the entire week
this week.
Speaker 2 (01:10:11):
Well it's been so crappy man, terrible.
Speaker 3 (01:10:13):
But I mean he's a bunch of grounded. The water's
just too crappy. Cancelations, glory. These guys make her living,
you know, by charter fishing, you know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (01:10:20):
Yeah, but I you know, also it's like, you know,
adapt or die, right, Like we also have such a
great fishery on the other side where you know, maybe
some of these guys can do stuff like with the
exotic fishing with like peacocks and you know, clown knife
fish stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (01:10:35):
I had to adapt. Here's a great I got named
Nathaniel Reynolds on our stream says not going off short
fishing in my truck driving to chase some peacocks. And
see what I mean, So today you could do some
fresh water canal fishing exactly, lake fishing.
Speaker 2 (01:10:50):
I just want to let you guys know I was
at this place, howies that I go to eat? And
I was just thinking possibly of a fishing segment maybe
called real Fishermen. These are and captains. These are people
that serve that that fish the streets. And they told
me something. You guys were talking about it. Multiple captains
brought up last week. You're talking about the floods and
the canals and everything and going to where the locks are.
Speaker 3 (01:11:11):
Ye.
Speaker 2 (01:11:11):
Did you know that the water folks actually have a
website that you can go to to find out when
they turn the pumps on, so you'll know when to
go to these lock locations to get all the abundant.
Speaker 3 (01:11:24):
Fish that are there. You know, the log on app
the connection there.
Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
I had it and I will get that for you.
See if I can get it for you on the show.
Speaker 3 (01:11:31):
Okay, very very cool point. That's awesome to know. By way,
we'll talk you right. Come back and talk to Vinie.
He had a spectacular week with the Bahi. Yeah, probably
few guys I want to hear about that, loaded up
like that. He just had a bag of a week.
I will talk to Johnny Stibill coming up. The married

Speaker 2 (01:15:58):
But Eric, you deserve most of it.
Speaker 3 (01:16:00):
I heard title Vinny Sacks had a great week normal.
The deck was low with mahi mahi. I mean literally everywhere.
Vinnie good oneing two of my friend. And what a
great week you.
Speaker 9 (01:16:11):
Had, dude, Hey, good morning you guys.
Speaker 3 (01:16:16):
Yeah, man, Vinnie, you're one of the happiest Sunday guys
every weekend. Like you're like a machine. I love it.
Speaker 26 (01:16:21):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:16:22):
He dialed in, I have a vice script for his
big toe and I just ready I'm hurting him or something.
Speaker 2 (01:16:27):
If he was hurting, he would be a little bit
more excited than that.
Speaker 3 (01:16:30):
Anyway, back to your happy time, man, talk about that
mahi catch it and it wasn't sanely great man?
Speaker 9 (01:16:35):
Wow, Yeah, the dolphin fishing super strong right now. Like
I said, with the rain that we had had, that
that green water is there with the blue side, there's
tons of mahi. On the blue side there all nice
fish like ten town average with a couple of fish,
maybe an eighteen pounder. Yeah, it was just super good.
(01:16:59):
I mean it was pretty much all you wanted. Uh,
we end up catching like thirty five keepers. We could
have kept going, but our customers ended up saying they
had enough and they wanted to go back, so so
I didn't keep catching them.
Speaker 3 (01:17:11):
Oh man, Eric, show the picture right now? Yeah, sweet,
I mean literally loaded. What a great time man, Yeah, awesome, brother.
So when you say blue, you talk about some really
nice blue clear water with sargasm around or birds or
just blind trolling or how you catching us fish? Yeah,
it was.
Speaker 9 (01:17:29):
It was green water on one side, which is a
lot of fresh water, and then on the other side
it was like purple blue, nice sarcasm line lined up.
So once you found that edge, you just stay on
the blue side and just troll down it and you
can see him headwaking when you when you're trolling past it.
Speaker 3 (01:17:46):
Damn nice. So what were you pulling as far as
bait wise, we.
Speaker 9 (01:17:51):
Fish a lot of just strips with mile ar sea witches.
I don't like Balleu too much because if you miss him,
a lot of times they ripped their bally you in
half for the strip. It seems like you could got
a couple of chances to keep them on there.
Speaker 3 (01:18:06):
Vinnie, is is it pulling bally Who's skipping? Bally Hoo's
sort of an old school thing that's kind of phased
up because back when I fished out my boats with
my son's, you know, my thing was a skirted Ballyhoo joe, Right, Yeah,
that was it. You pull them along. You know, they're
skipping really nice, one long, one medium, was short, whatever else?
So is that kind of faded out, Vinie? Or is
it moving to something else?
Speaker 36 (01:18:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (01:18:26):
I would say it's kind of faded out. The only
thing with bally Who it seems like if there's any
seaweed in the water, they find a way to catch it.
Speaker 3 (01:18:36):
That's true, that's true. Man, You're right, what a paint
of the butt. You put those planters down with the
sea witch and uh man, you get you're probably escaping
a lot of that sorgaz.
Speaker 5 (01:18:45):
Oh yeah, Vinnie, what about so let's go on now,
you had the mahi awesome bite, any other pelagics like wahoo, kingfish?
Speaker 9 (01:18:58):
The kingfish bite's been pretty good in that green water.
There's been some in the mornings and late afternoons. Actually, Uh,
I was out on Wednesday and I catching like seven
or eight. I sent a picture to Eric. We were
we were on our way back through a storm, and
I just left the stuff out way way back and
we were running the beach like twenty feet of water
(01:19:20):
and we ended up catching like a twenty five pound
king and twenty feet of water.
Speaker 3 (01:19:24):
I saw that, d you sent me. I cut you
a light as wall, Vinnie. You were head directly to it.
Look like a major thunder boomer out there, Buddy, I'm serious,
you know. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:19:35):
My mate was happy about it because it was a
free boat wash.
Speaker 3 (01:19:39):
Smart mate, man, right, Joe, a thunder boomer got his
whole boat wash with a thunder boomer, white eyed man. Yeah, man, definitely,
But he's head right forward, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, Yeah,
there's some called lightning out there, which I do with
both seat trials quite often night of my clients. Yeah,
so these bucks coming up, baxt to your Viney. I'm sorry, Joe, No,
we talked about some of our campus October November just
(01:20:00):
they seem to like these upcoming months for fishing, things
are falling down a little bit. I mean, what's your
thoughts about that.
Speaker 9 (01:20:06):
Yeah, I always tell all my customers, you know, if
you want to catch fish, come back in the fall
October November. It's by the best fishing we got. Especially
for dolphin. They'll probably be in shallow here coming up
on the shower fishing with the when they're chasing the
values and like sixty feet, So that'll be a lot
of fun to look forward to.
Speaker 3 (01:20:26):
And if you remember last November, because I do remember
this because they were catching a lot of wahoo last November.
It was a nuts yep yep. So this is a
word though, Joe and Vinnie that we used to be
years and years ago. I'm going back in the decades
that you caught mahea basically June, July, August, September, I know,
and for the fall and winter months they sort of
(01:20:47):
like went away. Now Vinnie's saying they're all year round
pretty much, backing them up more mahi, more dolphins, So
same with the wahoo. Man weird you know this weather
just planet man.
Speaker 5 (01:20:56):
Yeah, I mean we would catch the monster even though
we this year actually finally again, but we would get
those monster fifty plus pound wahoos in August during those
moons like the Blue Moon and all that. But then
it just kind of like got worse and worse. But
November and like October and stuff, people were loading up
with wahoo.
Speaker 3 (01:21:16):
Yeah, so you know, just weird changing. And the black
fin are here all year around now now we're saying
black I mean all year yeah, yeah, Vinnie, any thoughts
on that whole thing we just talked about.
Speaker 9 (01:21:29):
Yeah, Like, like Joe said, November with the big wahoos,
that's when all the that's when all the black fins
start to show up, the smaller ones. So that's your
man that's eating them all.
Speaker 3 (01:21:38):
Yep, all right, exactly. Why be normal going out today?
You're staying landlocked?
Speaker 9 (01:21:43):
Uh No, Unfortunately, we're like everybody else. The leather scared everybody.
So we're gonna just hang out today. If I watch
some Hurricanes football, and of course my whole family's team
Alabama today will see if they can be banditbuilt so nice.
Speaker 3 (01:22:00):
Well, I think this was it. Miami seminoles today.
Speaker 9 (01:22:04):
Yeah, Miami seminoles and Alabama Vanderbilt.
Speaker 3 (01:22:08):
A couple of good games man. Yeah for sure. Well, Vinnie,
bring us strong and give us your contact to fish
on the wyey normal. Your boat just catches fish. That
green machine. I think that green machine isn't actually a
magnet joke. Oh yeah, you look green Mahi green whiteby normal.
See him out there like fucked to it of con man.
Yeah it's Vinny. What's your contact there?
Speaker 9 (01:22:32):
Just give us a call, Ni, Vinnie, you're the life
of the party.
Speaker 3 (01:22:38):
Man, Thanks so much, brother, Thanks having very weekend, buddy,
Thanks Viny. He saves his laughs for the right moment.
And obviously we're not that funny. Okay, we're just not
that funny. Whose laugh is better Vinnie's or Cory's. They're
both so low on the VU meter, I can't even
tell you. Vinnie's laugh is more like it's like no, no, no,
that's Co's just one. He's like, and he's like, right,
(01:23:04):
maybe we did have a recordings at play them back
and see who's laughing this movie. You know, man, I'm
not laughing with this guy. He is a serious young
man with big cred. Bro Our good friend, Johnny Stipil Johnny,
this man don't play Jose you know what I'm saying.
You also a great post for the show last night
on Facebook. I saw that very cool Johnny can want
(01:23:24):
to see a buddy boy? Hey brother, good morning guys.
Speaker 41 (01:23:28):
You know, just trying to spread some love and awareness
about the show, get more people to interact and.
Speaker 12 (01:23:35):
The man hear me talk for ten minutes.
Speaker 3 (01:23:38):
Former captains participated with promoting the show like you do,
because ninety percent of them don't know what the word
share means with the share button on Facebook Live or
share of the promo or even like the day promo.
I wrote this was a half hour making I got
one like whatever, No, you end up liking it? You
like post Man? Yeah, thank you Joe for pointing that out. Okay, anyways,
so weird. Anyway, what's your week, like, Johnny, what's going
(01:24:00):
on it?
Speaker 30 (01:24:02):
It was good.
Speaker 41 (01:24:03):
We fished a couple of days this week. I actually,
for the first time and probably a year or two,
got to do some land fishing. The weather was, you know,
as you guys know, is kind of spotty in the
beginning of the week. And I have this really good
friend that comes down and fishes. He's he's like partially
(01:24:23):
a client but mostly a friend. And he owns that
company that I tagged on Facebook last night called pig
Jigs twenty four to seven or two four seven on Instagram.
Speaker 24 (01:24:35):
And he he comes down. We just have a great time.
Speaker 41 (01:24:38):
We bounced around a lot through like Coconut Creek area
and Coral Springs and a little bit of Margate and
then we drove all the way up to like Foca
and we covered probably I don't know, maybe a dozen
you know fishing spots by land, just you know, private
ponds where you're sort of trespassing, but it's on that
(01:25:02):
you're like on that gray area yea. And we taught
plenty of fish doing that. And then we also the
following or we skipped the day.
Speaker 42 (01:25:11):
The following day we went out. We fished Lake Ida.
Speaker 41 (01:25:14):
Lake Ida is fishing so strong right now.
Speaker 24 (01:25:18):
Peacocks in the morning.
Speaker 41 (01:25:22):
That was just like three and a half hours of fishing.
Because then right after that, you know, we also cut
a climb knife fish. You know, the everywhere we seemed
to go and presented baits, the fish were just like, hey,
we're here, We're ready to party. We we then you know,
we fished there for like three and a half hours.
(01:25:43):
We should have stayed on Lake Ida because then we
went out to the Everglades that same day, and the
water in the Everglades is just really high. A lot
of it is moving, but everything, even the oscars. The
biggest nuisance fish you know, in the Everglades is just
they're gone. They're they're nowhere to be found.
Speaker 3 (01:26:05):
And maybe we.
Speaker 41 (01:26:06):
Looked in a lot of different spots for them. We
probably spent three and a half or four hours just
looking around and we didn't see anything. So my you know,
advice for everybody listening that wants to get out and
fish this weekend.
Speaker 24 (01:26:21):
Be avoid the Everglades at all costs.
Speaker 42 (01:26:23):
Go fish the lake.
Speaker 41 (01:26:24):
I had a chain or just do a land mission.
You don't you don't need a boat to catch peacocks
and snake heads and all that. I think it makes
it a little easier and a little bit more fun
because you can, you know, you can run around these
lakes on a boat, but you don't need that. We
we cut plenty of peacocks, plenty of snakes, I mean
(01:26:45):
a ton of snakeheads, and you know, we just had
a great time.
Speaker 3 (01:26:49):
A couple of days this week he mentioned the species.
He's just kind of a nooisance, But I know they
fight really well. I always had a great time catching oscars.
If you catch them on lightlin like that, sure those man,
it'll tuck tuck a tug tug there.
Speaker 5 (01:27:03):
But from what I hear in the Everglades, they're just
like everywhere I mean around yeah, not now, it's just weird.
Speaker 41 (01:27:12):
So the oscars are, in my opinion, they're great. I
think every exotic fish that makes its way here, as
long as it's not like a piranha or something that's gonna,
you know, do physical harm to a human or multiple fish,
I think is a great thing. There A lot of
(01:27:34):
people refer to oscars and mine cichlids as nuisances because
they're typically fast fishing or peacock fishing, or they're trying
to catch, you know, a big trophy fish. Meanwhile, I
have done the complete opposite approach with my business. I
(01:27:54):
tell people, Hey, you guys from all over the US
that like the crappie fish, or you know, go bluegill
fishing or pan fishing in general. You can literally come
to Florida catch three hundred oscars or four hundred millions
in a morning trip, and a lot of them take
them all home and eat them, and it's great.
Speaker 24 (01:28:15):
There.
Speaker 41 (01:28:15):
They fight ten times harder than a regular crappie.
Speaker 42 (01:28:19):
Or a bluegill, So I think it's a win win.
A lot of people don't like them though, That's that's
why I referred to them as a nuisance. But I
have plenty of people that come down.
Speaker 24 (01:28:29):
And they flip me for four or six hours to
go catch them.
Speaker 3 (01:28:33):

and rain, rain and wind. It's raining and there's wind.
That's the new songs of the show. We haven't done
that before. Joe's a Friday.
Speaker 24 (01:34:30):

Speaker 3 (01:34:38):
Thanks sir, Miss you just bring it strong, jen, I've
got a big smile on my head. Thank you so much.
Speaker 45 (01:34:44):
Yeah, I know, just gotta smile about it. Chance of
showers and storms today, mostly sunny hieer eighty six east
wing fifteen to twenty gusts up.
Speaker 24 (01:34:54):
To twenty five.
Speaker 45 (01:34:55):
She's four to sixty occasionally eight in a coastal waters
choppy wow. Tomorrow, fifty percent chance of showers and storms,
partly sunny. Hi near eighty seven. The east winds five
to ten. It's a little better s these two to
four feet occasionally five inner coastal waters a light chop.
In the Keys today, sixty percent chance of showers and storms,
mostly sunny, high there eighty four northeast. The east winds
(01:35:18):
ten to fifteen not seas two to three feet near
shore waters a light to moderate chop. Tomorrow's forty percent
chance of showers and storms, partly sunny high here eighty
five southeast winds five to ten. These one to two
feet near shore waters smooth to a light chop. And
At Florida Bay today, northeast the east winds ten to
fifteen knots. Baywaters a light chop. Winds higher when they're
(01:35:41):
in rocks in the area where there's numerous showers and storms.
Looks like we're going to see southeast wind side to
ten tomorrow in Florida Bay baywaters smooth to a light chop,
and then of course the winds will be higher where
those storms are so shattered storms every day. Looks like
the winds back off a little bit tomorrow, but still
you have the Green Campus.
Speaker 3 (01:36:01):
So Herberto and whatever I know is whatever her name was,
those are all that they also golf and just went away.
Bye bye, They're out of here, right Yeah, they're gone.
Speaker 45 (01:36:13):
They're gone.
Speaker 3 (01:36:14):
Nothing else behind it. Hope we're done for it's double
it for a while. Nope.
Speaker 45 (01:36:19):
We're watching a couple of other areas in the Atlantic
right now. But as of right now, you guys are
are in the clear. But I would definitely keep an
eye on it. There's that one that's supposed to be
sort of near the Virgin Islands next week, but most
of the models are taking it even offshore, and so
it's not gonna make shouldn't make landfall in the US.
Speaker 17 (01:36:39):
Yeah, so so far, so good.
Speaker 3 (01:36:41):
All right, it house hot Lanta. It's hot Lanta cooland and.
Speaker 45 (01:36:44):
Now it is we're cooling off a little bit finally,
so we're excited. Yeah that is just good. No Miami,
but that's good.
Speaker 3 (01:36:53):
Well, Jed, thanks so very much. Have a great weekend.
We'll sit here with umbrellas and hatch.
Speaker 45 (01:36:58):
I mean, sounds good.
Speaker 3 (01:37:03):
Here we go. No, unfortunately, Steven it says they're skip,
going straight to voicemail, no backup number, no answer, No
skipp because he's nibble such cake again. Yeah, drinking an
egg peck never onto the hole. Maybe the talent search
(01:37:29):
for the keys again there with my friends, we have
a lack of talent. We may have the talent to
fill there in the old key slot. Sew me keys.
I would to let shoot Joey. Yeah, talk about your
kids camp because we had this nice little break of
ruining the show. Talk about the benefits while you're having it,
besides making money and uh, please help yourself. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Speaker 2 (01:37:51):
First of all, he's doing something. I'm just saying, kids,
he's doing an organized thing.
Speaker 3 (01:37:56):
He has to get paid for his efforts, is what
I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (01:37:59):
This is a this is not first of all, you
have seen people are having to trust their kids with
this camp. You're sorry, Joe Homer, My god, not a homer,
But I mean, thinking about it, did you trust your kids?
Speaker 3 (01:38:10):
Maybe if we talked about what the hell it was,
we could decide whether you should be compensated or that.
So now Joe explain it to the audience after all
that stuff, Okay, tell you.
Speaker 5 (01:38:20):
So October fourteenth is our EK Youth Kids Camp and
it is a homeschool camp and we are now officially
a step Up program. For those that aren't familiar with
the Step Up program, Ron de Santez created this program
where any any homeschool parent right that.
Speaker 3 (01:38:42):
Is doing homeschool or homeschool.
Speaker 5 (01:38:44):
Activities, they get eight thousand dollars from the state in
this step Up program that they could use those funds
to get a curriculum going, get actor outdoor activities going,
stuff like that. So long story short, what they do
with step Up is they have on their website lists
(01:39:04):
of different things that you can put your child in. Right,
So now we're officially through the state and step Up
one of those activities that a child can within the
area join up.
Speaker 3 (01:39:17):
And does a child mean, what's the age cut off?
Speaker 5 (01:39:19):
And I think so our our program, excuse me, is
five to fifteen. Okay, most of the kids that we have,
which our October fourteenth camp is totally full. We've we've
booked that one out. Now we're signing up kids for January.
But what was your question again, I asked you what
(01:39:41):
the oh the age cutoff? Yeah, so that was that
answer your question.
Speaker 3 (01:39:44):
Yeah, So various kids and various ages do different separate things,
correct age groups. So five year olds are doing the
basic stuff, fifteen year olds are more advanced whatever else exactly.
So how we're going to run this is we're gonna
have different groups.
Speaker 5 (01:39:58):
So you'll have like group A, B, or C that
your child is a part of, and Group A will
be learning how to kayak right, and then graduate to
the kayak fishing part of it. We're gonna have and
we have awesome coaches by the way, that have also
been vetted through the state, fingerprinted that whole thing, so
you don't have to worry about any of the coaches,
(01:40:20):
you know, weirdos or anything like that.
Speaker 3 (01:40:22):
They're all vetted through the State of Florida.
Speaker 5 (01:40:25):
And then Group B would be like fishing on a
job boat, right, working as a team. So like how
we do it is, you know, the kids will help paddling.
One kid will hold a net. One kid will fight
a fish. The kid has the net to fish. Working
as a team I think is huge with this camp.
Our slogan is you look out for yourself, but you
(01:40:45):
also look out.
Speaker 3 (01:40:46):
For each other your camp hold on. I'm not done.
Speaker 5 (01:40:50):
And like Group C for instance, we do land fishing.
They're learning how to use lures. Johnny will be there
teaching them how to use cast nets. We actually have
a build your own lure program that's gonna happen there
where kids can literally create their own lures that they'll use.
Speaker 3 (01:41:07):
At the camp. So yeah, it'll be a lot of
fun stuff. I was hoping you might find some time
to teach these kids about the ecology of our waterways
and oh yeah, the oceans and keeping you know, plastic things.
And I don't think you understand how detrimental plastics are
to turtles, oh yeah, and dolphin and other fish in
the ocean. With these damn things, people throw junk out
(01:41:29):
of their boat and yep, it really pisses me off
to see that happen. Yeah, and I don't think we
preach at college. I mean the environment enough to these
kids and tell them how important is the reserve the
resources their kids down the block, right, and.
Speaker 5 (01:41:40):
I agree one hundred percent. Actually, so I've contacted Bo
with FWC. I'm actually gonna call Rodney about it. But
we also want to get them on hand to teach
great stuff like that safety, everything that you just said.
Speaker 3 (01:41:56):
So it's gonna be great. There's a lot that goes
into it.
Speaker 5 (01:41:58):
It's an eight week program, one day a week, every
Tuesday from nine to one. Like I said, the October
one is full, but we are signing up kids for January.
Speaker 3 (01:42:08):
So if you're homeschooling your.
Speaker 5 (01:42:10):
Child, uh, you can go to the step up website
and you will see our program, or you can visit
our website Extreme Kayakfishing dot com.
Speaker 6 (01:42:18):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (01:42:18):
We also just created a Facebook group for the camp,
so you can just look up e K Youth Fishing.
Speaker 3 (01:42:24):
I get reminders on it like every day, like nine
times a day above your things. Oh you joined it? Yeah,
I joined it, And its kind of happy that I
did because it won't stop. It's just good. You're blowing
me up. Ten minutes, I'm chilling. It's working out great.
Thank you. You're blowing me up, bro chilling baby. Well,
it's a great cause, let's face it, man, I mean
help your kids out, get them off the damn phones
and playing. Oh yeah, you need this, tav And you know,
(01:42:45):
I mean doing great stuff like that? Is it fishing?
I mean my dad raised me a fishing Dad raised
you fishing exactly. It's a sport you'll love the rest
of your life. And this kids working how to make lures,
which is is really cool. Man. Yeah, make orsu kayak
one on one to.
Speaker 5 (01:43:03):
Land fishing lures, cast netting, I mean, tying up rigs.
Speaker 3 (01:43:07):
You're gonna learn everything in this camp. I got a
question you. Let's so you have a little painted a butt,
call him little Eric. Okay, he's about seven years old.
He's very disruptive, very loud mouth, won't shut up, very
annoying about dr How do you control a kid like that?
Speaker 2 (01:43:23):
Or what do you do teach him about the anchor
in the robe first of.
Speaker 3 (01:43:27):
All, First of all, the anchor line and go all
the way down to the bottom.
Speaker 5 (01:43:32):
First of all, I personally don't believe in like any
kind of control. What I like to do is relate
to them, right, So you learn pretty quickly why that
child acts a certain way, right, whether it's wanting attention,
whether it's showing off.
Speaker 3 (01:43:48):
Whatever what I like to do. Wait once attention of
showing off, Okay, I'm taking it personally, but go ahead.
Yeah I called him little Eric. Please sure.
Speaker 2 (01:43:59):
Now Eric's dad used to adjust him.
Speaker 3 (01:44:03):
He did with a belt. Yeah, we won't do that
at artist, But I want pretty much what's pissing you off?
Speaker 41 (01:44:12):
No?
Speaker 5 (01:44:12):
I mean I'm one of those people where yeah, I
mean you, you want to just talk you first of all,
you you get down to their level, right, Like I'm
I'm a person that believes, and like, if I have
to speak with me about something serious, I will kneel
down and talk to her at her level.
Speaker 3 (01:44:27):
I think that's very important. Respect exactly and listen.
Speaker 5 (01:44:32):
In the end, these kids just want to have fun, right,
They're kids, So you find out very quickly what each
kid is going to like the best. What I personally
will do is make sure that that child does what
he or she likes the best, and then we stick
with that and build from there.
Speaker 2 (01:44:51):
To me, is what taser set use normally, a little
booger picker that gives you no respect and and like
something from the Bad News Bears that.
Speaker 3 (01:45:00):
We say, mob come back and get your We'll get
your refund back. Okay, no, we we go on the
John Boat. Oh, have a little chattel personal session. Oh
that's a fun time on. If you don't change your behavior,
buddy boy, you ain't coming back to shore.
Speaker 5 (01:45:12):
Okay, we just make them tie riggs. There's a whole
tire rag section where they'll just sit under a tree.
Speaker 3 (01:45:17):

I personally like to keep the chair inflated in my

when inflated. Its perfectly in a compact car's trunk, just
like my niece on Ultima.

It's super lightweight at just seven pounds. That's lighter than

does it hold up to two hundred.

This boat arrowchair is your go to beat, boat or
tailgate chair.
Speaker 49 (01:51:19):
It sits low to the ground, perfect forgetting your toes
just a little wet by the shoreline without getting your
booty wed. Throw the arrowchair on the tailgate, around the
campfire or wherever your adventure is gonna take you. Now,
when you're sitting in your boat arrowchair, you're gonna want
a tasty snack.
Speaker 3 (01:51:34):
Right.
Speaker 27 (01:51:35):
They sell accessories that have attachments through the chair.
Speaker 49 (01:51:37):
Simply slip the arrow cup holder into the slider track
and you're chilling and sipping.
Speaker 27 (01:51:42):
If you're worried I'll wear and tear from the ocean
the dirt. You're just having the boat arrowchair tossed around.
Let that worry rest. The military grade PBC skin means arrow.
Speaker 49 (01:51:52):
Boats can withstand being tossed around, banged, bumped and scraped
with low.
Speaker 27 (01:51:55):
Risk of damage or permanent blash.
Speaker 49 (01:51:57):
If you're a fisherman, there's also molly loop attached to
the chair so that way you can touch your gear
on the go.
