Speaker 3 (00:18):
From me, what do another Nautical Adventures Winnyshman show. You're nineteen?
They never want show on social media on radio around
the planet. Are you seriously? Okay? Those are on the
Facebook live stream. We're wondering whether you have me I

(00:40):
got an episode or something. We were live. We were
live when you're doing that thing you were doing, it
was really or to be alive. We've to be alive
and we were born. Okay, thank you very much, barn Born. Okay,
can't we get to the potatoes and the show here?

Speaker 4 (00:59):
I love that song.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
The show is brought to you by Nautical Vester's Marine Group,
the number one boat dealer in all of America. By
the way, the America Boat Show is coming up this
weekend Friday through Wednesday through Monday Sunday, rather the fort
International Boat Show. Flips is back Jack a rap favorite thing. Oh,
I just cannot wait.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
You know one thing that you guys don't mention enough
on this show that I think that people should know
is this is the only only live show that's weekly
on air and online with live captains giving you live
updates of what's really happening. Nobody else has that.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
I agree, Stephen, I think.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
You reminded me of that. Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Well, I don't think. I don't think everyone realizes that.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
He is right. They do now anyway. So let's say
how to Jeff and dined forty flight a ship back there,
give us twoh. Okay, he's there every weekend putting these
things together. Steven, I did say how to Stephen Jay Gray,
all right, that's making sure. So Jibo Thomas is out
again somewhere on the planet fishing at a rain. Guess
who's back for a spellar guest appearance. I can't wait
talk to this guy. Yeah, he's clean shaven. He's been

(02:08):
to like I don't know, Alaska, fishing for crazy fish
and stuff Alaska. It's one of the only.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
Norm beckball right now, right now, Norm, come on, bring
him back now, bring him baby cat in boom.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
The fish going water, Norm going to water.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Norm Kevin Norm walking back man, long time, no chat.

Speaker 6 (02:32):
Good morning ladies, I love.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
I missed that. Good morning ladies. Okay, First I go
out of their mouth. Man, Good morning ladies.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
You know, Norm, I had an epiphany last night.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
An old comment popped up, and you were.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
We were basically going back and forth with the Dolphins
and Raiders, and I think I think now we can
both agree that.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Our teams are pretty.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Why do you talk? You're so slow? We have a
clock the way, get it out, man. Okay, that's it.
Your Raiders suck. I'll get us all even go to
football talk. Okay, let's just get.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Out of it about your Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Let's walk up Norm back. I want to hear Norm speak.

Speaker 7 (03:12):
Man.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Okay, Norm, walk him back.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Man.

Speaker 8 (03:14):
Hey, so all right, well, yes, the Dolphins do suck,
and I think they're purposefully tanking this season for draft picks.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
That could be happier. News. Norm, I saw you go.
So were you travel to Alaska the last couple of
weeks or so ago and catch these monster fluke and
other kind of crazy fish. It was pretty banging, dude.

Speaker 6 (03:39):
Man, it was sick.

Speaker 9 (03:40):
No.

Speaker 6 (03:40):
I did a trip back in August, and I did
four days up in Sica, Alaska at the Kingfisher Lodge,
and it was an amazing trip, probably one of the
most productive trips I've ever taken in my life. We
limited out on everything that we fish for every day.
I mean, it was it was just an amazing experience.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
I mean the.

Speaker 6 (04:00):
Amount of marine life, I mean the whole atmosphere or
everything up there, and the fish up there are stupid,
which is great for a guy like me. But I'm
telling you the things that you got to do down
here to get a bite, you know, lighter leaders, smaller hugs,
all that kind of jazz. None of that applies up there.

(04:22):
They don't care. You could send a bait down on
a three inch braided rope and they bite on it.
I mean, it doesn't matter. It's it's unbelievable. What the
amount of life up there. It's a sick trip's lifetime.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
First trip up there, I bet it before.

Speaker 6 (04:41):
Yeah, it was a bucket list trip for me, and uh,
I can't say that I'll probably go back because it's
just so many other places I want to go and
I'm not getting any younger. But uh, I got to
tell you something, if you've never taken a trip to Alaska,
I highly recommend it.

Speaker 5 (04:58):
I agree, you know, that's something I want to do.
I want to do that so bad. With my family
and rant like a little cabin and go fishing.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
And no, I just wanted to say I really missed
you so much. And my jet ski has never been named,
so I named it the Norm.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Oh boy, I'll go there with that. Man, holy mackerel,
but a norm on a screen. We have a photo
of you on the back of a boot. I think
it's holding a big fluke.

Speaker 6 (05:22):
I think, yeah, those hallibit, Yeah, yeah, those are halibit,
and uh we caught whatever. Yeah, we caught halibit up
to about sixty pounds. And you know, it was just
it was it was insane.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
It was just insane.

Speaker 6 (05:37):
Correct, But I brought back I brought back between my
cousin and I, we brought back three hundred and thirty
two pounds of fist split.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Wow, man, nor Man, oh Man.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Well anyway, Norman, you're back on the shlf for a
guest shot today. It's just great to hear your voice
and your happy, snappy, beautiful, wonderful latitudes like the Wizard
of Oz here is just amazing. Norm.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
What so, what's how do you go after halibit? Like
what do you use? Is it kind of like fluke fishing?
Like up north or.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
No, there's nothing like it. Basically we're dropping down. Uh,
it's it's it's basically the same as chicken rigging here,
but with electrics.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Gotcha all right? Cool? Yeah, Well, we had a chance
to chat Norman. I did show a little show prep
and he mentioned the word mullet was quite big in
his speech. What's with a mullet there?

Speaker 6 (06:31):
Norm Yeah, guys, we're having the best mullet run we've
had in several years. I don't know what or why,
I'm not I'm not qualified to answer that question. All
I know is that the canals are you know, pretty
much filled with mullet, and it's not a problem to
go get mullet. And let me just tell you something

(06:53):
for all you inshore and offshore guys, it doesn't matter
when the mullets are coming down the beach. When they're
in the canals, everything knows it, okay, from jacks to billfish,
And it doesn't matter. Everything eats a mullet. It's like
the chicken of the sea. So right now, if you
can get your mullets, definitely, you know, slow trolling live mullets,

(07:15):
putting them in the kite, they make a wonderful kite bait.
You can put them on the down rigger, big wahoos, groupers, kingfish,
everything eats some sailfish love them, slow troll just like
you would Valley who it's it's just an amazing, amazing bait.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
I would imagine norm around those schools. A mullet probably
what tarpa or tearing them up, and jacks or whatever
eats a mullet. It's just fire nose sticks up. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (07:42):
Yeah, Well the mullet, the mullet run is a little
bit of a double edged sword. And I'll tell you why,
because there's so much bait it's hard to get bit.

Speaker 7 (07:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (07:53):
So, so really, what you have to do if you're
fishing the mullet schools, stay outside of the school. Don't
run up into the school. Don't run up onto the
school and screw up their rhythm.

Speaker 8 (08:04):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (08:04):
You want to take a bait if you can cut
off half the tail so that it swims erradically. Sometimes
you cut off the whole tail and just lob it
right in the middle of it and you'll catch a
big snook. The snooks are going to lay underneath the
schools the tarp and are going to be rampaging through them,
same thing for the jacks and the bluefish and everything
else that's in there. And uh, you know that's that's

(08:26):
to me. I think that's the best way to fish
the schools directly. But whatever you do, show some etiquette
towards other boats and don't run up on them. Just
because that school is there doesn't mean that you've got
to be on top of everybody and ruin the rhythm
of the school.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
Can you can you throw a cash that over there
successfully on a school of mullet to the Norman load up?

Speaker 6 (08:47):
Yeah you can, but I wouldn't recommend. All right, So
if you're if you're fishing the beach and you've got
a big pot of mullet in front of you, a
big school of mullet, don't throw the net on that school.
Find bait someplace else. Oh okay, this bait in the canals,
throw them, throw the net in the canals, and then
go take those baits and fish the schools if you

(09:07):
can find them. Right now, the big problem that we're
having today and tomorrow and the next day is win.
So you're not gonna get off shore and fish those
big schools. If you've got a decent boat you might
be able to fish around the inlet, but the inlet
is exceptionally rough, so you got to be you know,
most most guys are sticking to the inside.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Right, got you, man, got you right?

Speaker 6 (09:29):
And by the way applies, you know, this is a
great time to go to the piers. You're you know
you pier, Deerfield Beach, pomp And this is a great
time because you get that northeast wind flowing okay, and
if you can't get out on the boat, go fish
the piers. The piers are going to be very productive
right now. On that northeast wind. You're gonna catch all

(09:49):
kinds of fish, same fish that you catch out in
the boat. They're gonna be coming down the beach. Bluefish,
pomp ando, you know, mackerel, jack's, everything's going to be
in there with.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
Those mull What a good tip.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Yeah, oh man, forever.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
You know what it is.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
I've I've fished around piers all the time, but I
never like going on the pier itself, just because I
feel like those snook are just so because I'm going
after snook, I just feel like they're so targeted all
the time that I try to just go as far
away in that vicinity as possible so that I don't
get one of those snook.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
And it's always worked for me.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
But there are guys uh on on these piers that
just man, they know what they're doing.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
They call them like peer rats or something.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
They go all out.

Speaker 5 (10:37):
I mean, there's guys that get keeper muttons. I'm sure
Norm knows. I mean, they just they get kingfish. Sometimes
it's it's.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
Nuts, absolutely, absolutely, that's a great thing about the piers.
In the fall, everything comes in close to feed on
the mullets, and I mean you never know what you're
gonna catch. I mean we've we've we've seen we've seen sailfish. Heck,
remember last year we had some blue pintina swim by
you know here.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
That's right, it's crazy.

Speaker 6 (11:03):
But I mean it's just every you just never know.
You're in the ocean and there's no fences.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
Yeah, and norfore you go, last question, with three hundred
fifty pounds of fish from Alaska? How many ways do
you actually cook halibit or whatever it must be, what
you smoke them? You just how do you do that? Why?

Speaker 6 (11:18):
Fish? Well, but I didn't. I didn't bring back that
much haliban because you're really not allowed to keep that much.
But most of it's salmon. Most of it's co host salmon.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Yeah, okay, you know, however.

Speaker 6 (11:29):
Many ways there is to cook fish, you can do it.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
I saw your face. Most he was smoking salmon like
crazy joy. He's a big sam. He makes a salmon salad, salmon.
He's a very healthy guy. That's good salmon. Love it,
salmon's salad.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
I have one more question.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
Of course, you don't snorm.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
Did you guys ever target sturgeon fish while you were there?

Speaker 6 (11:50):
There's no surgeons up there.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
That's it.

Speaker 6 (11:52):
That's that's inside. That's uh, that's in fresh water. Uh,
there's there's no surgeons up there.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
Oh you didn't do any like stream fishing or anything
like that.

Speaker 6 (12:01):
No, it was all off shore, gotcha.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
Okay, I don't know if you mixed it up or not.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
Never gonna rock the clock. We want to join to
have you back in the program. So ready to hear
your voice and just your travels. And you got that
brand new shade. Look you've got to go tee off them.
And you're just like a streaming aerodynamic fishing clean clean
he is clean man. Yeah, he's a clean machine. Damn
nice man.

Speaker 6 (12:23):
Look at me and they want to do their floors.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
I wonder I have a great weekend. But thanks so
much for jumping that brother. Seriously. Okay, all right, guys,
run that dog. You got it? What a good guy.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Gonna have more back another great segment.

Speaker 5 (12:38):
I've known no Rhim for years. He is such a
good guy. He really is down to earth, good heart.

(16:55):
Oh yeah, And I'll tell you Steve and I sent
you some. But we are starting to do like private
sessions and stuff. And these kids, I'll tell you right now,
they are having a blast with this. We just caught
a monster bass yesterday on the John boat. It was
one of our private sessions. This kid Dylan, and this

(17:18):
thing was a beast a hog. If you want to
check out the bass, you can go on my page.
Just scroll down. You'll see the video of when he
landed it. But I'll tell you there is nothing better
than seeing a kid like pull the biggest fish they've
caught in fresh water and scream and the look on
their face.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
It's just amazing.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
I walk off for two seconds. Try to make a
as soon as you walked on.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
I'm not talking about the business. I'm talking about the
kid and the shill.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
Just if you see that fish, how do you not
talk about it? You guys have to see the fish.
It's it was massive.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Oh wow, look at this picture. Okay, here we go.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
I never caught a large amount this big personally.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Look at this kid, Look at this guy and it
is a horizontal picture. Imagine.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Oh look at that picture, shay okay, I said it
to our man back at nine forty again, and we'll
see whether he connects with Corey have an issue. Look
at this fish guy. Look at that mouth.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
That is incredible, that would swallow his head.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
You said that fish is like twelve pounds. Huh, yeah
it was. How'd you guess to make that way? Well,
not that one? See the Yeah there we go. Look
at that.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
Look at that guys, look at that smile. It's just beautiful.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
Oh if you had the class ship on how to
use artificial lures or you guys, it's just stick with
the live stuff the whole time. You ever had a
lower class? No, we well, I don't not have a
lower class for children.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
We have, But Johnny did that?

Speaker 3 (18:44):
Not me?

Speaker 4 (18:44):
When Johnny came to the camp.

Speaker 5 (18:46):
Oh, I personally am charged in charge of like catching fish, uh,
teaching knots.

Speaker 4 (18:53):
You're a live bait. You're going to catch live bait.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
Charge of collecting all the fees and all the mobs.
That's what your job is are you talking about? You
got the handout with the wolfs Fargo truck, pull the camp.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
No, Eric, this is brilliant because I think if correct me,
if I'm wrong, Joe, this the parents aren't paying. This
is a state that they.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Get exactly money come from somewhere.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
We are an official a step up program.

Speaker 5 (19:20):
A step Up was created a couple of years ago
by Desantees where Joe, I'm.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Gonna put you on the spot. You said you're going
to do one on one training for kids that aren't
in homeschooling. What kind of what kind of fees would
that be? Because I actually know I know some candidates
right now that I was showing some pictures and they go, wow,
it looks like fun, and they have a daughter that
wants to fish.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
Well, they are home.

Speaker 5 (19:40):
Like the one on one sessions is just another option
for the homeschoolers if they don't say.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
It's not a homeschool the kid that goes to public
schools and they want to do this.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
Yeah, yeah, no, I would definitely do that.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
It just wouldn't be well, it wouldn't be through step
up per se because they're in public school or whatnot.
But prices will range. You could see them on our
website Extreme kayfishion dot com. But for a private one
on one session.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
Now again, this isn't just making make a quick joke.
This is mentorship.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
This is outdoors survivalist stuff like that. It's eight hundred
dollars to nine hundred dollars per kid for four for
four hours of personal time.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
Outstanding.

Speaker 7 (20:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
Wow, that was a major, major plug.

Speaker 4 (20:23):
Of He asked, I didn't get into that. I just
wanted to talk about the fish, but you started it.
I just I just wanted to fish.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Shall we segue to our captain? We finally get a
hold over two one? Shall we? Who doesn't show for
a damn thing? Ever? It's the one, the only I'm
Corey Nowakowski's back in the show, Corey Corey.

Speaker 4 (20:45):
Good morning.

Speaker 21 (20:45):
How are you guys doing? Sorry for the Uh, what
was going on? I don't have a flip phone, so
it is a smart phone.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
It's early the morning, man, these things happened. Bro, it's
really early, so no worries. How's your week, bed, what's
been biting for you? Bubba?

Speaker 21 (21:00):
Uh, it's been very good and it's mostly it's been
the snakehead deal. It's that time of years, very good
time of the year, my favorite time fishing for them.
You know, if you want a big one. This is
really the time year, one of the times of the
year that you know you can have your best chance

(21:20):
at getting them. You know, we've been definitely pretty much
every time getting out, it's been getting fished, you know,
nine ten pounds at least every time.

Speaker 7 (21:30):
So it's it's it's.

Speaker 21 (21:33):
Time year for it now, I do I what I'm
seeing from the weather coming up. It looks like we're
getting a pretty good cold front next week, so that
could start kind of like backing it off a little bit,
maybe depending on how bad it is. But but it's
you know, it's been very good. Every time I've been
able to get out or have you know, have people,
it's been uh, it's been very good. I mean we've

(21:55):
had some times where it's been a little bit of
a struggle. You know, it's been a little bit struggle.
But once you get into them and you find them,
you know, you get you get in some really nice fish.
So good time of year right now.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
Yeah, man, I'll agree with you. There's definitely some big
fish biting.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
Man.

Speaker 5 (22:10):
We got some big p's ourselves, and and a bat.
So how about what's going on with the peacocks in
your area?

Speaker 21 (22:20):
So there I didn't get to them too much this week,
but I know they've been they've been they've been biting
pretty good from what I've been seeing from other guys.
And it's most of that schooling deal if you can,
you know, you get in there getting up and they're
punching up. They're getting out of that spawn and they're
pretty much they're out of that spawning mode so for
the most part, so they're schooling up and if you

(22:42):
get into those schools you can, you know, you can
get into a lot of them right now, and you
get size too. It's a good top water time too.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
I know the wind.

Speaker 21 (22:51):
I know the wind the next couple of days are
going to kind of you know, if you can get
out of the wind, that's usually where it's always the
best bet for them, you know, the heavy wind anyways,
but the top water usually that's that's good right now
too for them. So I know I got I got
a few of them last week on that on top
water as well, so when I was running into them.

(23:13):
We've been getting large amount too in those urban canals too.
With the snakeheads. The guy had last week he got
a five and a couple of four and a halfs
and we got some other small fish as well, so
you know they're biting as well. It's it's so, it's
it's it's a good time right now.

Speaker 7 (23:28):
Car.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
Do you ever do any saltwater fishing? We talked about
freshwater all the time with you. You ever dip your
rod into a bay or off the off shore somewhere fishing?
You ever try that sport off in saltwater?

Speaker 21 (23:38):
I've done it, you know. If I go saltwater fishing ever,
I usually do like snook or tarpin, and then occasionally,
you know, maybe red fish. You know, I'll go down
the everybody's the National Park, you know, down there every
now and again. But I've I've done the offshore stuff
in the past, and and I was never really ever
into it. I'm not I don't know, I'm not into

(24:01):
dropping baits down in a reef and just waiting there
for something to hit or all that.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
It's not buying.

Speaker 7 (24:05):
It's not my style.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
Like Joe's favorite sword fishing techniqu where you got off
shore and wait nine hours free rod to go tippy
tippy tippy for a swordfish, maybe.

Speaker 4 (24:14):
A potential two hundred plus pounds.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Wait nine or ten hours with that one rod to go,
ben Corey.

Speaker 5 (24:22):
Would you wait all right if you were guaranteed a
two hundred pound fish? So curious but you no, no,
I'm just asking, but you had to wait, let's just
say twelve hours for that bite. Would you wait twelve
hours for that two hundred pound fish to bite?

Speaker 21 (24:38):
I would, as long as I can reel it in,
as long as I as.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Long as there's no a lot of negotiating here, I
gotta be able to reel it in.

Speaker 21 (24:49):
I don't know, Yeah, I can't because I know guys
for the sword fish, because I've I've been with the snakeheads.
I've been offered it a bunch of times to be
taken out because they want the sword they want the
snakeheads for bait. Right, So I've had guys plenty of
times asking to go out, and I said, well, really
not into that type of fishing. But you know, because
they're like electric reels and that not into that. I'm

(25:10):
real in the damn opinion, I'm not fucking electric reels.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
I agree with you said that that's a real man.
I agree with that, that's a man.

Speaker 4 (25:17):
I'm gonna grab that rod.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
And really really in myself I don't want those cissy
ass electric reels.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
I'm dude here, bro, I agree with them.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
That's why I don't.

Speaker 12 (25:27):
Eric.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
Last time you went fishing, didn't you guys use electrics?

Speaker 3 (25:30):
Now me, baby in my hands, No did my sub did?
But not dead er Joe, Joe, you have no proof,
therefore your self denial. Okay. Anyway, Cory the.

Speaker 21 (25:43):
Last, the last, the last time I win saltwater fishing
that as a client of mine that I take up
taking a bunch of times bassis to stake and fish.
And he invited me on a tarp and trip with
a guy that he went with and I got one
over one hundred pounds and that was in the middle
of the night. And that was that was a pile
of fun. I mean, I I using live baits, which

(26:05):
I wasn't happy with, but you know, hey whatever, you
know it was one of those trains. But yeah, I
know I know the guys. I know the guys with
swords fish. I know there's you know, you're fishing a
thousand and two thousands, you know from crazy depths and
I know real that in is you know, you get

(26:26):
your arms will fall off. It feels like but I'd
rather do it that way anyways. I just I don't know,
Electrical just seems to take the fun out of it.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
But Corey had a question. When you're fishing fresh water,
what's the deepest you are fishing? There's no more than
one hundred feet or so maximum.

Speaker 21 (26:42):
Most of the Yeah, I mean most of the time,
it's you know, the max depths you're gonna be I'm
gonna be fishing is maybe twenty feet, maybe thirty depending
on where you're fishing at. I there are a couple
of lakes that I've fished here in South Flora that
there's Rocktit lakes that were eighty feet deep. Yeah, deep,

(27:02):
but that's you know for fresh water, that's deep. I mean,
that's crazy deep for here. But uh but yeah, that's
probably the deepest I've ever fished in fresh water here.

Speaker 5 (27:11):
Were you think anything's down there like that deep in
those freshwater lakes like that one on our line.

Speaker 21 (27:17):
There, Yeah, that's yeah, that's the one.

Speaker 22 (27:20):
I don't think.

Speaker 21 (27:22):
I don't think eighty feet. I think more like, you know,
the fifty thirty forty feet you know, those are the
areas where you're gonna get fished mostly like in the
middle of the summer or like when it's really really
cold here, you know, they go deep just to get
out of the cold water. But yeah, most of the time,
I don't know about eighty feet. I mean, maybe a
catfish or something, but right maybe maybe a snake maybe,

(27:46):
but I don't know. They got a long way to
come up for.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
A maybe could last question, what's been happening man? Best
chances of urban canals or the glades or was the
hotspot even like.

Speaker 21 (27:58):
Yeah, it's urban canals, I mean, especially right now with
the snake and I have the glades. It's I know
the last time I was after the water's high in
a lot of places. We you know, if you're going
to go fish anywhere, kind of fish the canals and
get away from the flats. Yeah, you know those those isolated,
those canals that get away from that. That's where we
were having success. But yeah, they're every canals. That's that's

(28:19):
where it's been.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
So gotcha covered man, and we'll go from there. So Corey, uh,
there's always been you bring it strong, bro. Thanks so
much for put up a little phone delay, but you
got on. We're glad to have you on the program.
Is always my friend just a wealth of knowledge and
catch them. I have a great weekend. Look out with
the wind. Thanks Corey.

Speaker 21 (28:38):

is already crazy out there.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
Well, well, well, shall we see if the reward fishing
fleet's going out this kind of a windy day. Oh
you think it's sees oar to a joe like eight
to twelve? I don't know, fifty eight five to three.

Speaker 4 (32:39):
I'm gonna say eight to twelve.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
It's gonna be some rough stuff.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
I'm the expert man. My friend and Wayne go on
it to you.

Speaker 29 (32:46):
Bubba Hey, Wayne, you dumped a couple of armchair weathermen.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
Here not very good at either, by the ways. That's
what I'm here now. That is the best way to
do it.

Speaker 30 (32:56):
Man.

Speaker 29 (32:57):
You sit back in your chair, go yep. I'll bet
you at eight to four forty seven out there, I
don't know a sip of coffee. I haven't had a
sip of coffee, you know.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
Yeah. But the reward handles those rough ways.

Speaker 29 (33:08):
Pretty well, right, yeah, the boat ganic. But you know,
as far as everybody else, I don't know, man, you know,
I I've changed my tune a lot with that over
the years. I don't no good. The only thing good
that can come out of taking folks out when it's
rough is they can really catch a lot of fish sometimes.
And that's the that's the thing that gets us excited

(33:28):
as a crew, because you know, we want to do that.
But the butt is standing at the dock. The people
look at the bay at Bayside Marketplace and it's well,
oh it looks great.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
And you don't you don't understand it's not quite like that, right, yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
So when you modify your your mission.

Speaker 29 (33:47):
To do of course, of course, for example, we had uh,
you know, I do a lot of stuff with kids
and as many things as I can do with schools
and organizations, whether inner city out or city. I don't
care where they're from. I love taking groups of kids out.
We did forty two one day last week from Miami
Country Day, which is a Miami short school, and the

(34:08):
kids had a hoot. Man, they had a blast, but
it was sloppy. So what I do is I want
them to feel that experience. So, you know, I tell
the counselors and my crew listen, we're just and I
tell them we're going to poke our nose out and
make a circle and come back. And they have more
fun doing that. And I've done that with customers during
the holidays, you know, when we start to get really
busy with and I've got I've got you know, ninety

(34:29):
percent to us now. But the point is they have
a blast going out take a little spin for five
or ten minutes. As soon as you o's and oz
turned into oohs and ohs, you know, I said, then
I'm already on the way back, and I'll turn around
anchor the boat in the bay and we'll catch one
hundred little grunts, some little spinning rods, and people say
thank you very much.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
It's a good experience.

Speaker 29 (34:50):
It's all about the experience, man, of course, nothing else,
nothing else matters for the time that you greet that
that person to the time you set them off boat,
whether they catch nothing or catch a salefish you want
to make you know, you know, the way things have
gone since since you know, the COVID and all that stuff. Man,
people people need to need to break and they need

(35:12):
to get out. What I'm really seeing a lot a
lot more of and it's a great thing is you know,
more young parents are starting to get their kids outside
and it doesn't matter what it is. Fishing is just
one great, great activity, but there's plenty. Look look around
you here in South Florida, man, you know, I mean
I've been taking my kids on trail bikes since they
were old, you know, since they had training wheels on

(35:32):
them almost you know, you know, a lot of wildlife,
a lot of cool stuff to do. But anyway, so
what it's rough like this, we do. We do a
lot of maintenance and we try to keep the offshore
fishing at a minimum just because first off, like I said,
you beat the boat up pretty good and the potential
for somebody slipping fallen is is really good. Too, So

(35:53):
that's kind of where we're at. But we did get
out of some trips and man, we got a bunch
of mahis and this is supposed to be fall now.
Somebody needs to tell somebody about that because it should
have been here. It is November, and I think that
we had a cool friend.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
What was it eighty two?

Speaker 29 (36:10):
I mean, come on, it gets later every year, guys,
I think it gets later.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
I don't think Wayne, there's any more seasonal limits to fish.
I mean, tuna fish is pretty much biting year round now,
joep year round. Mahi had been around like year round
where the would be like absolutely.

Speaker 29 (36:26):
Ever since we started, yeah, ever since we started doing
vertical jig and trips ten fifteen years ago. When I
first started it, man, I found I realized that black
fan souners are off Miami year round. Now they're not
big all the time, but as they are and like
in the spring, But do you catch half a box
bulll of little ones or as many as you're allowed anymore?
I think there's a limit now, a couple for persons

(36:47):
or something. So I don't check the limits. Tom starting
to get close to what I think could be.

Speaker 3 (36:51):
The limit, Wayne talking to North Beckoff this morning. He
mentioned there's a major mullet run. How does it affect
your reward fleet? You guys actually go to catch those
big and use them on the boat.

Speaker 29 (37:01):
Now, yeah, I mentioned that last week. There's nothing finer.
I actually went fishing last night in my skiff and
we hit some bridges in Barrie County and every school
of mullet that came by got destroyed by ten to
thirty pound tarpin.

Speaker 31 (37:17):
Wow.

Speaker 29 (37:18):
And for two hours, for two hours, a couple buddies
and I we watched tarpin going crazy. We couldn't get
a bike.

Speaker 32 (37:28):
Wow.

Speaker 29 (37:29):
When I tell you you see you see fifteen tarpa
going under a school a mullet as it got close
to the bridge and they would just blow them up. Yeah,
and these look like black mullet to me.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
But I met at them.

Speaker 29 (37:39):
We tried live bays. We you know, said oh, well,
you know they win tonight. But it was cool. I
don't do that too often.

Speaker 7 (37:45):
I grew up to it.

Speaker 29 (37:46):
A lot of that bouncer Smith and I some of
my buddies, we did a lot of souk at tarp
and fishing. So but yeah, a lot of mullet coming
down the inner coastal are coming down the ocean. I've
caught blue marlin around schools of mullet offshore. As I
mentioned before, everything neats them, everything like a so incredible
base marlin.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
Incredible marlin. Yeah, for sure. Well, Wayne, you like this
type of year. When the weather started cool down eventually
we had heard of of course.

Speaker 29 (38:14):
Of course, man, we turned the ac off on the boat,
open the doors and you know, let the air.

Speaker 7 (38:19):
Flow a little bit.

Speaker 3 (38:20):
So looking forward to it. That's for durn sure, very
very cool.

Speaker 29 (38:25):
You kind of got a cool deal now where it's
open to us up. You know, its being in Bayside
Marketplace is a beautiful place. However, local customers you go
down there and pay the park and and then like
our night business disappeared because because of COVID number one
and the curfews all that stuff, and then parking and

(38:45):
the heat arena is right across the street. However, they
have forty two games a year plus other events on weekends.
So you know, we we've been fighting that forever. We
just worked something out with Bayside Marketplace and they have
been great. They see what they see our plight and
we're able to give a certain number of customers free parking.
So it's for us. It's going to get us back

(39:07):
where I can get get my fishermen back, because I've
got a lot of really good fishermen like to fish
with me. But but it is a party boat. It's
it's not you know, and it's not guys. Guys are
driving brand new BMW us to come down and charter
me for two grand a day. You know they're coming
down to spend one hundred bucks and have a nice time.
And now now I can help accommodate that. Man, Tell

(39:29):
the guys to.

Speaker 3 (39:30):
Uber to your boat.

Speaker 7 (39:31):
I mean I've done that.

Speaker 3 (39:33):
And then you get a car after you've fishing all day,
you stake like a chub baga, see what an uber
and say take me home? Okay, that'd be great.

Speaker 29 (39:42):
Yeah, you imagine an Uber driver you got you got
a cooler and you got four rods, right.

Speaker 2 (39:47):
Imagine that you might already smell like the Uber driver
in the car that you're getting in.

Speaker 3 (39:55):
All right, you're going to rock the clock, man, but
gonna fish on your boat. Contact you online or call you.
What's the this way? Man?

Speaker 29 (40:00):
Absolutely me dot com. That's us, that's meat, that's us.

Speaker 3 (40:04):
That's all.

Speaker 29 (40:04):
There is reward fishing fleet on Facebook. We try to
go to three days times a day. First trips nine
in the morning. But yeah, at a bay side marketplace.
So and we do got a special there. If anybody's
locals listening, we charge you a lot less. If you're
we give your resident discounts. You know, no tariffs. I
don't charge tariffs, but we do have resident discounts.

Speaker 3 (40:23):
So wait yet. Thank you so much, have a great
thanks so much. Man.

Speaker 7 (40:28):
All right, guys, take care of right here we go.

Speaker 3 (40:31):
I'm tearing the show, so you gotta blowup. I'm sharing
the show.

Speaker 4 (40:36):
So you gotta blop.

Speaker 3 (40:36):
Oh I I gottap it.

Speaker 4 (40:38):
Now you gotta plump it.

Speaker 3 (40:38):
Man my mouth, I'm talking like this. Hey, Joe, how
you doing about the area? Body? That's pretty good. It's
like you got to one of the story clads. But
I'll try to talk. Did you get that? Hey, Jelly
looks up there? Now you like that? Hey, Jim Mathews

(41:02):
like that? Listen.

Speaker 33 (41:03):
I love it.

Speaker 34 (41:04):
I love it when Eric blows bubbles to his snorkel.
Very good, Very.

Speaker 3 (41:08):
Good, Eric, Thank you Jim for appreciating my snorkel talking
so effect like you've had.

Speaker 6 (41:15):
You've had a lot of practice.

Speaker 2 (41:16):
That looks like a.

Speaker 3 (41:19):
Chief.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
Are you saying he's good at blowing things?

Speaker 3 (41:25):
All right, Jim Bubbles, give us your news. What have
you been doing going?

Speaker 34 (41:30):
Let's get us the good stuff. All right, let's get
us to the good stuff. I uh, First of all,
no one's dipping this weekend. No one's even going out
and fishing this weekend. It's just gonna be really rough.
But we went out last Sunday. It was four to
five foot on top. It was ugly, and but underneath,
you know, we we we made this. We said let's

(41:52):
go in shallow her. So we were in like thirty
feet thinking all right, maybe this, all this stuff and
everything has moved him in this.

Speaker 3 (42:00):
This is the time of year.

Speaker 6 (42:01):
We're expecting a walk.

Speaker 34 (42:03):
We we mullet run, postseason of baseball, first cool front whatever.
This this is when we see the walk at the beach.
You know, well, guess what, there hasn't been a walk.
I just have not found multiple clusters of lobster anywhere.
And but we got our butts kicked on on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (42:23):
It was just ugly.

Speaker 31 (42:25):
Do you think the.

Speaker 2 (42:28):
Lobsters aren't walking?

Speaker 3 (42:31):
That's a good one.

Speaker 34 (42:32):
I don't think I has anything to do with it,
but I'm gonna tell you right now.

Speaker 2 (42:37):
It just we decided, hey, let's go now.

Speaker 3 (42:39):
We did get our limited lobster.

Speaker 34 (42:41):
Okay, in fairness, we shot some fish, a dog snapper.
We had a yellow tail, but all guys a snapper.
It was really pretty good. But on Tuesday and Thursday
it was really nice. We got out on the Lady
Go Diver both days and it was really good. We
had a lot of the chief You crew on Tuesday

(43:03):
just because everything lined up, guys were available, we got out. Uh,
doctor Monica Troy, my my physical therapist. I'm teaching her
how to sphere fish or dispatch fish.

Speaker 6 (43:15):
Is that what's the proper term? Now?

Speaker 3 (43:17):
Her harvest harvest harvest? Okay, yeah, harvest harvest, all right.

Speaker 34 (43:22):
She shot a really I mean she harvested a very
nice red grouper all by ourself using my Chiefy CoA
spear gun, which was really nice, and she did really well.
You know, a lot of it is fish recognition, Hey
what can you shoot? And then hey, regulation, what's the
size limit? Because you see a lot of fish down there.

(43:43):
It's just a matter of oh, that one's big. Enough
and it was big enough, so it was good. And
we got some lobsters and all that, so that was
really fun on Tuesday. Then Thursday another group went out
and I got another limited lobster.

Speaker 3 (43:57):
We're really good.

Speaker 29 (43:57):
And I got a big Channel crab crab.

Speaker 3 (44:01):
I mean, holy smoke holies. Now I haven't eaten it yet.

Speaker 2 (44:06):
I boiled it and.

Speaker 34 (44:08):
I kind of like took it apart, and I'm going
to pick out the meat here and going to eat
it probably today, so.

Speaker 2 (44:14):
Let's see what it tastes like.

Speaker 34 (44:16):
Supposedly it's pretty good.

Speaker 4 (44:19):
It's a channel crab of the Channel crab.

Speaker 10 (44:22):
Yeah, it's a channel crab. That's what they call him.

Speaker 3 (44:25):
That might just be a nickname we hang out in
the channel.

Speaker 34 (44:30):
I guess that's why they call it a channel crab.

Speaker 3 (44:33):
This sucker was big.

Speaker 34 (44:34):
I mean he had some claws on him, and uh,
you know, I I was able to kind of like
poke them out of the hole because there in this
kind of the holes and I snuck up behind him,
and you know catlike refluxues that I have.

Speaker 6 (44:51):
I grabbed her.

Speaker 34 (44:52):
I grabbed him from mine and grabbed grabbed his two claws,
and uh, I have these zip time that are reusable,
and I zipped on him, you know, sort of like
you know, taking care of him.

Speaker 3 (45:06):
I was easy.

Speaker 34 (45:06):
It was easy, buddy, It was easy. And then trying
to get him in the lobster bag, that was a
little challenge. But listen, other than that, nice North conditions, gentle,
gentle North current visibility gotten better. I mean, Thursday was
forty feet, wasn't bad at first, twenty feet.

Speaker 3 (45:27):
We get that green water.

Speaker 34 (45:28):
Now it hasn't rained for a little while, right, so
things are going to maybe clear up a bit, and
you know, we'll just see what happens. It's one of
those kind of things that water temperature is still like
eighty three ish, not bad, it's still comfortable. So we'll
just kind of like monitor it. And I think this

(45:50):
week we got another coal front coming through, a real
coal front supposedly, and we'll see how that goes. Wednesday
Thursday might be pretty decent, so we'll see.

Speaker 3 (45:58):
All right, what is going dig dog, have a great
weekend there, Jim bow go Eric.

Speaker 34 (46:04):

Speaker 7 (51:23):
Man.

Speaker 3 (51:23):
It went loves in general.

Speaker 7 (51:27):
A Hey, what's going on guys?

Speaker 3 (51:31):
But I don't think you're fishing today, Sean, because it's
bloying about nine hundred miles an hour right now. I
don't know.

Speaker 7 (51:36):
Oh yeah, you know there's that saying if it's blowing,
we're going. But today's a little extreme for that. Yeah,
no fishing day. I'm heading out in the water though,
to do do a little uh paddling and up the
river and stuff like that. So so get out there,
just no fishing.

Speaker 3 (51:53):
You're going up a river paddling today?

Speaker 7 (51:55):
Uh Yeah. There's a park club river Bend Park that
we like to go to actually flowed down the river
and then paddle back up against current.

Speaker 3 (52:03):
Oh so you actually the bus got paddles, not petals
like you doing your you're yack, that's right kind of
neat man, Joe.

Speaker 4 (52:09):
Yeah, where's this park?

Speaker 7 (52:14):
Exit eighty seven off ninety five Okay, somewhere up there.

Speaker 3 (52:20):
That's very strong. Well have you fished a lot during
the week? I about what I asked? Man?

Speaker 7 (52:26):
Uh yeah, Actually right after I got the fee of
you guys last week, I think that day or the
next day, I caught a wahoo.

Speaker 3 (52:32):
So oh I think I saw that? Man.

Speaker 7 (52:34):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, there we go. Yeah, I ask what
about that? Man?

Speaker 3 (52:40):
I already know?

Speaker 4 (52:42):
So what did you get that wahoo on?

Speaker 7 (52:44):
No, it wasn't a pink and white like you think.

Speaker 3 (52:48):
Oh ho ho ha ha. Why did double ha ha? Yeah?
What color was it? Sean?

Speaker 7 (52:55):
It was actually that ghost color that I was telling
you guys about last week. I got a ton of
hit on it. The water was dirty. What doesn't make
sense for that color? But my theory was the water
was clean underneath if I kept running it and I
you know, it was fisher. When we get in our
own heads sometimes, can we talk ourselves out of spots
like oh the water's dirty, or it's not this, it's

(53:16):
not that. And I just tell him, kept telling myself. Know,
if I'm doing this, I'm gonna get a while over here.
I'm gonna get one here. I stayed in shallow and
around eight dirty, we got one and I was it.
Man pulled the lines one home.

Speaker 3 (53:28):
You know, Actually, Facebook, streame, what you said that was
not pink? He just got like super poudy and just
like sad looking and depressed and demoralized. Was he always
be right when you guys say pink? It just likes
bu because hes always like Joe likes to be right,
Gee Joe. Yeah, I got a little pouty on me there,
but I'm fine.

Speaker 4 (53:47):
I'm happy my buddy caught a wha Are you so excited?

Speaker 3 (53:50):
Yeah? I'm happy. It was great. Yeah, right before me,
did you use watermelon? Sean?

Speaker 7 (53:57):
Uh No, no, I didn't.

Speaker 3 (53:59):
Wait.

Speaker 5 (53:59):
Some one had a question right Eric on our stream
about I think it was flora carbon.

Speaker 4 (54:05):
Do you use flora carbon?

Speaker 3 (54:07):
I do?

Speaker 7 (54:08):
Actually, yeah, I run about a six foot length of
flora carbon okay to a to a really small swivel
in line and then the rest of his mono and
then I go to my cleaner.

Speaker 3 (54:21):
Perfect, very cool, that was their question. Okay, so you
heard Sean. We've got a big bullet run going through.
Does that excite you at all?

Speaker 7 (54:29):
It doesn't, It doesn't. I do a lot of insurer stuff.
I'm actually starting to lean towards a fresh water this
time of year. I'm gonna start doing some bath I
might do a might do a bast tournament next weekend.
Actually up in the like a kayak series they've run
in Barda. I think the first one is a harsh
chain of leaks, which I know nothing about, so I'm
asking any questions. I just know it's like three or

(54:51):
four hours away. That's all I know.

Speaker 3 (54:52):
So gotcha? Got cool?

Speaker 7 (54:54):
Yeah, No, it's a pretty cool series. So I'm looking
looking forward to that because obviously there's no kayaking with
this Oneather is of a year, So now I got
to get out there somehow.

Speaker 3 (55:02):
I've been dying to share a story with you. There's
a guy who reached out to me, a messenger who
watches the show quite often. Right, that kind of a
backrock how to do, But he reached out. He goes, hey, listen,
I want to hear about this swivel you glass pod
three sixty seat that I hear you guys banging all
the time in a show. Huh. I'm actually doing Boomer
a favor. I might make it a penny on this
plug here. But he did say, is really all that

(55:24):
those guys talk about? And I'm thinking Seaw will tell
you he's tried the original prototype, suggested some changes and
Shaw this is truly a game changer in the Yak
yak correct though it truly is.

Speaker 7 (55:39):
I don't support anything. Joe knows. I will not support
anything that I don't actually use myself.

Speaker 3 (55:45):
And yeah, that's true.

Speaker 7 (55:48):
And if anybody wants to try it, man, reach out
to Boom or reach out to me, I'll be happy
to let you borrow mine or he is one you
can study it with, and you can meet me at
the lake or something like that and try it out.

Speaker 3 (55:58):
I mean, anybody wants contact you can actually borrow your
slivil you last pod seat really.

Speaker 7 (56:04):
Yeah, I mean as long as they give it back.

Speaker 3 (56:06):
And I mean I don't know, that's kind of risky
of their shot. You know, to a stranger, you may
not see it back. Man, you put a track runn.

Speaker 7 (56:16):
You know, the kayaking community is a very small, tight
knit community. We all kind of know each other one
way or another. So I trust most people, but maybe
I trust people two months. I'm also a pretty big guy.

Speaker 2 (56:28):
So if this guy is like three a biscuit shot
of three or four hundred pounds and.

Speaker 3 (56:32):
He breaks your seat, that's good.

Speaker 7 (56:36):
That's what the whole point of my seat is to
put it through the test.

Speaker 3 (56:39):
That's why.

Speaker 7 (56:39):
That's why Boomer gave it to me. I put I
break a lot of stuff, so.

Speaker 3 (56:44):
Wow, man, so that they can handle some heat. And
that shot is She's not really a blatant shill. If
he didn't like it, he would talk about it. He's
not going to tell you it's great. It's not great,
right right straight up? You know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (56:56):
And you know I will say his seat, Boomer's seat
is gone through different progressions. So like where it's at now,
is this like the two point zero version? Yeah, I
mean to me, it's it's night and day from what
it was like a couple of years ago. So I
think you could handle much more now than in the beginning.

Speaker 3 (57:16):
And I see Boomer, he actually sent me some video
of this thing really close. Yeah, actually, Actually it's really
well made. I know, bulky beefy, not too big. Yeah, shilling, Now,
this is a really cool device to add to your yak.
Like you to be adding a simp read to your kayak?
Whatever else another essential item to have? Yeah? Simple put, yes,

(57:39):
simply put?

Speaker 2 (57:40):
Is that another boomer?

Speaker 3 (57:43):
Don't pay nobody believe me ever? Okay, you would know anyway, Sean,
have a great eric paddling guys talking to you, Sean.
Quick question, wait, real quick, sure, Joey, go ahead, Sean.

Speaker 4 (57:58):
Have you done any of exotic fishing lately?

Speaker 8 (58:00):
Or no?

Speaker 4 (58:01):
Or you're just going to get back into it.

Speaker 7 (58:04):
No, I have not done. I'm going to just jump
right back into a dust of rods off and go
for it.

Speaker 3 (58:09):
All right, man?

Speaker 4 (58:10):
Well, hey, check out that bass I got in our spot.
By the way, that's your spot.

Speaker 7 (58:14):
I get it. I saw it. I saw I get
a real quick question for you, Joe, if we have time.
I saw your you posted about the extreme kayak fishing?
Is there going to be a salefish tournament this year?

Speaker 2 (58:24):
I I don't know yet, but I have put him
on the spot.

Speaker 7 (58:28):
Day. You can't even answer me.

Speaker 4 (58:30):
I have I know if it was, if it was
a phone call.

Speaker 5 (58:34):
If it was a personal phone call, I would, but
because it's on air, I'm not allowed yet.

Speaker 7 (58:41):
I called you this week. He never answered.

Speaker 4 (58:46):
What he called.

Speaker 5 (58:47):
Right when I had the kids, I couldn't call back.
I did send you a text. I sent you that emoji.

Speaker 3 (58:56):
Good cover job, job, get yourself out of that jam.
Shot many paddling today, man the river wherever you're going. Man,
thanks for bringing a strong every weekend. You are truly
the man dude for real.

Speaker 7 (59:09):
Thanks Bud, all right, thanks guys, have a good one, all.

Speaker 3 (59:11):
Right, Very cool sec with Shot. He's paddling up a
river today, going offshore in this nasty, schlocky weather. I
don't think anyone is what is this storm I see
on the news that's somehow making people nervous. It's way
out there. I haven't heard it turning around that. No
gener'll talk about that seven thirty.

Speaker 4 (59:30):
Is it a cane?

Speaker 3 (59:31):
I don't know what not. Maybe not a cane yet,
but it could be.

Speaker 2 (59:35):
I didn't even know category four or five.

Speaker 4 (59:36):
Eventually, I didn't know we were getting like a real
cold front.

Speaker 3 (59:40):
That's pretty cool. Yeah, next week, if you get off
you know, all your normal gaming sites when you play
poker and you're betting dice online. Look look at it,
Look at it, betting on heat, betting on heat games. Okay, whatever.

Speaker 5 (59:55):

don't they do that to the NF off your house.

(01:04:50):
just to piss him off. Okay, just keep his phone
ringing and ringing, not stop. Okay, if he's gonna hangover mode,
just ring his brains out.

Speaker 2 (01:04:58):
I gotta I gotta challenge for you.

Speaker 7 (01:05:00):
Too.

Speaker 3 (01:05:00):
Yeah, real quick challenge.

Speaker 2 (01:05:04):
You guys have to talk about something without chilling for
a segment. Is that possible?

Speaker 5 (01:05:09):
So Benny did text me last night late, I was sleeping,
and he sent me a screenshot of the raider image
and he said, and this is what's crazy. The worker
in the store because he went in there to look
around whatever.

Speaker 4 (01:05:27):
They said. They have not had someone come in and
buy something in two weeks.

Speaker 2 (01:05:32):
That you want to buy something that is great.

Speaker 5 (01:05:35):
Because that's what they get for just continuously losing. Do
not buy any raider gear.

Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
Please, Florida doesn't care about raiders. The people do not
care about There's a raider bar that.

Speaker 3 (01:05:48):
Was so important to put on the show to Phil
for Benny being god, he thought that.

Speaker 4 (01:05:51):
Benny text me That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 40 (01:05:53):
He was.

Speaker 2 (01:05:55):
Out.

Speaker 3 (01:05:55):
It was great. Okay, the Dolphins, okay, there's team with
the Dolphins. Okay, okay, I can't say a good word
about it at all, but since you brought it up.
By the way, oh boy, if mister David Ross does
not can this team here we go? I don't know
what this billionaire is doing. I mean, really, why do

(01:06:15):
you keep these guys around? That's I mean, even the
guy can't stand very much. Steven A. Smith, I think
is the biggest blowhard on them on sports channels. Okay,
he had a flippant tie rade this week. When he
gets on the stand, man, he don't stop. He just
beats it to a pulp. I know he does. So
that's how he's how he rolls. And you know, we
have so many great Dolphin fans out here. There you go,

(01:06:39):
we did it once, go to goal like no one's
ever seen. We're in the air, on the ground, we're
always in control. Because when you say Miami, you talk
of super Bowl, that's right. Man. If I go back
to the days, man, I'm so. It was such a
great time watching Dan Marino and Bob Griese play back
in the day, how boy, I mean with the Killer

(01:07:00):
Bees and just I watched Larry Zakat pile through people
like butter bit. It's amazing times, you know, and it's
never come back since then. We've got close here and there,
but never ever got close to the Super Bowl. Do
you think you will see them win a super Bowl
before you die? Well said you already called me eighty
or ninety. I've only got like maybe two years left show.

(01:07:20):
So they but it soon because I'll be gone. Okay,
it's a serious question. Be a pine box.

Speaker 2 (01:07:26):
By the way, my friend who's a broadcast engineering box,
my friend who's a broadcast engineer with the Tampa Buccaneers. Yes,
he got a Super Bowl ring. When they run, he
does what I do with the Bucks. The problem was, though,
when he got that Super Bowl ring, he had to
pay the tax on a twenty five thousand dollars right, I.

Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
Want that problem. I would pay that p pay it
gladly and installments anyway.

Speaker 5 (01:07:49):
So Steven, wait, I have the same question for you.
Do you think before you die you will see the
Dolphins win a Super Bowl?

Speaker 4 (01:07:55):
Legitimately?

Speaker 3 (01:07:56):
I hope. So yeah, okay, okay, all right, enough answers there.
So who we play this week? And we're playing the Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (01:08:02):
Flying to Atlanta. I'm flying to Hotlanta right after this broadcast.

Speaker 3 (01:08:05):
So if we lost the worst team in the NFL,
the Browns, how bad will this game be against the
Falcon's not going to be good?

Speaker 5 (01:08:13):
Oh my god, Browns can't score, so I don't know
how they even won. But now you got the Falcons. Wait,
is Cousins their quarterback or Pennix.

Speaker 3 (01:08:22):
I don't remember, but whatever the case may be, did
they bench him even a third strigger who beat this? Okay, Joe,
don't worry about it.

Speaker 4 (01:08:28):
Well, what I'm saying is if if Cousins played, it's
it's over.

Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
I wonder is anybody actually buying dolphin gear from the
NFL Dolphins really makes you stadium?

Speaker 2 (01:08:41):
There's a store, there's a store the stadium, and there's
a lot of Dolphins going there every game. I mean
it's packed.

Speaker 3 (01:08:49):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:08:50):
I haven't seen it this year, but it probably isn't
as packed. You know, when a team doesn't do good
and it hurts sales absolutely.

Speaker 4 (01:08:57):
And you don't want to buy those players jerseys.

Speaker 2 (01:08:59):
I mean, you know, because it could be gone.

Speaker 3 (01:09:02):
Yeah yeah, yeah, I mean I still have one jersey.
I've worn it all the time. It goes back to
don't boy back in the day, Marino Reggie Bush.

Speaker 2 (01:09:11):
But by the way, we talked about briefly about the
scandal that went on with the Heat, the NFL is
very much They're very above board. Like when a player
is not playing, if you show that on your list
before a game, that player cannot play, even if things change,
you cannot do that so they're very above board when
it comes to that situation.

Speaker 3 (01:09:30):
I don't know. Oh, just Jeff and I forty gives
me an answer. He goes Joe's asking me, wh's the
quarterback for Atlantic Pedis okay.

Speaker 4 (01:09:37):
So you guys got a shot. You got a shot.

Speaker 3 (01:09:39):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:09:40):
So I think Cousins at this point is better. But
they're going to play Penis if because he's the future.

Speaker 7 (01:09:46):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:09:46):
It's funny. Cousins has been hanging rouf for like forever.
The guy never goes My god, man, he just never
goes away.

Speaker 4 (01:09:52):
I don't get it. I don't know how he keeps going.

Speaker 3 (01:09:54):
It's unreal. And he's good. Yeah, well he came in
and won them a couple of games, right, we should
have cclock pretty well. And I woulcover for Benny's got it.
Betty's a drunk ass on the shelf.

Speaker 2 (01:10:03):
So you think, so job, what do you think Benny
did last night?

Speaker 3 (01:10:07):
I think what Benny did? When do you in Vegas
you stay up till four o'clock in the morning losing money?
I think you would. I think he drinks.

Speaker 4 (01:10:13):
You could get went to the dome. He might have
went to that dome, could have been Yeah to end
the night.

Speaker 3 (01:10:19):
We covered it well. Let's stuf for a break, shall we, Joey,
Let's do it. Let's do it, Sparky. We'll talk to
Vinnie Sex coming up next to talk to this out
with the forecast. We'll see the skip rights on the
keys Toy chest and a whole lot mo on the show.

Speaker 1 (01:14:21):
Here's there a Brandon and Joe Hector, the.

Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
Man with a green machine. This guy is hardcore. I
saw fishing several times on the Instagram and Facebook posting yeah.
Then he says on the YB and normal man he
got in combinations of kings. I saw some mahi this
week on a deck.

Speaker 7 (01:14:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:14:39):
Man, he got out there and did it right. He
says that Joe Hector luck seems to hook him up.

Speaker 6 (01:14:44):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:14:44):
Vinnie's the guy. He's every time you just refer to him.
He just the boat lights up with fish man, well,
let's it glows green wants you to bring him on
your so buddy buddy, now man the King of Green.
He sounds like some of the Irish King of Green
with the pot of pot of gold. Vinnie, how's it gold? Hey?

(01:15:05):
That was good?

Speaker 22 (01:15:06):
What's happening you guys?

Speaker 3 (01:15:08):
You are happening man? You know the guy on social
media it's caught a fish this week dated truth man?

Speaker 4 (01:15:13):
Wow are you Irish?

Speaker 40 (01:15:16):
No?

Speaker 42 (01:15:17):
No, no Irish.

Speaker 3 (01:15:20):
Water of green iris the Irish man answer the question
here anyway? Dy I saw you catch a fish bed
talking about you can catch this sweet bit good stuff.

Speaker 22 (01:15:33):
Yeah, you got out a few times, the sweet super
good kingfish bite. Sailfish seem to be around pretty much
every day, Scattered mahis, scattered mahi's on the reef and
off shore, and uh, there's a good amount of wah
who taught this week? I didn't get one, but some
of my buddy's caught a few. All in that green water.

(01:15:55):
Everything was in super shallow and the dirty green water.

Speaker 3 (01:15:59):
Crazy. You know, there's a word that he taught me
on this show called unit Okay, you say this every time.
I want to ask clarify it against the brand new
viewers or worsers. What qualifies a unit? He's something just
massively large over a certain right here? Okay? What qualified
in large? Large?

Speaker 22 (01:16:19):
Something large is a unit?

Speaker 3 (01:16:21):
So can any fish be a unit? Or just certain fish?

Speaker 22 (01:16:25):
Any fish that's big, anything that you know, you're surprised
how big it is. It's a nice unit.

Speaker 2 (01:16:32):
Hey, you like my unit?

Speaker 4 (01:16:33):
Can a Can a human be a unit?

Speaker 31 (01:16:36):
Like?

Speaker 3 (01:16:36):
I know this guy like rose O'donnald, She's definitely es
of other types too.

Speaker 2 (01:16:40):
That's a cow not a unit.

Speaker 22 (01:16:44):
I think you guys got it. Anything anything you want
can be a unit.

Speaker 3 (01:16:48):
I got your bed. And of course you learned a
new phrase last week called blueberry tuna. Ah. Yes, that's
referred to bitos. Yes, so he's been teaching us new
lingo that I've heard in nineteen years on the show. Well,
that's what Vinnie does, man, that's what he says. I say,
he's the guy. He's an educational kind of guy. Yeah, yeah,

(01:17:09):
so I know today Vinnie, it's a little snotty and rough.
Are you guys actually going out and stuff or what?

Speaker 7 (01:17:15):
Nah?

Speaker 22 (01:17:15):
It seems like this whole week's kind of just gonna
be a blowout. It's a little bit too rough today
to be going. I mean, I guess if you really
wanted to, we could, but I don't really want to
go in this. But the fish are sure biting for sure.

Speaker 7 (01:17:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:17:29):
Do you work on the boat, Vinnie? On this is
like downtime or whatever.

Speaker 22 (01:17:34):
Yeah, there's always something to do, you know, Like I
said before a couple of shows ago, to try to
keep the boat floating, right.

Speaker 3 (01:17:43):
I gotscha, Well go on, sorry, go you go. I'm
just saying it's downtime. He was offishally last time I
saw me had just I call him a unit snook.
I think it was a flippant beast. I put him
on the Facebook promo that was a monster snuck. So Vinnie,
you just if you can't fish on the water, jumping
a streamer off of a bay something or throw a

(01:18:04):
line you know whatever, that was gonna.

Speaker 5 (01:18:05):
Be My next question to him is with the mullet
run yes, and you can't get out yes? So a
question asking, right, if Annie, you hit up, you hit
up the locks, you hit up the beach, right.

Speaker 22 (01:18:17):
Yeah, yeah, there might be some of that going on.

Speaker 3 (01:18:20):
Today, Actually the beach might be.

Speaker 4 (01:18:25):
Yeah, I'd say locks, locks, whatever, like goldilocks.

Speaker 3 (01:18:28):
Gotcha Goldielocks? I thought that seriously? Right, So Anny, question
for you man, I've never asked you before, but what
is your absolute favorite fish to catch on your charters
or even privately? Personally?

Speaker 22 (01:18:41):
I would say for charters it's got to either be
wahoo or nice dolphin, But personal for myself it's black grouper.

Speaker 3 (01:18:51):
I never asked that question. Now we know black groopers
his favorite personally, okay, and wahoo for pessionally. How come
black professionally?

Speaker 4 (01:18:58):
What was your What was your thing that happened that
made it that?

Speaker 22 (01:19:03):
I just black grouper tough to catch? You know, it's uh,
you got to earn it if you if you get them,
you know, you can hook a bunch of them and
they get you in the bottom and you know, really
got to earn it to get a nice one. And
they tastes great too. It's just like a thousand ways
you took one of those and not ruin it.

Speaker 3 (01:19:19):
Hey, Lenny, if you get a grouper into rocks matter,
dose down or watch this uthing? Is there a technique
or a trick to get that damn fished out. I've
been hooked up many times with groupers and I never
went to battle. They seem to somehow just always win.
I've seen to flick the line trick. Yeah, you have
a trick for that, Venie Doll.

Speaker 22 (01:19:36):
So this might sound crazy, but we tried it one
time years ago. A buddy of mine had taken like
a sinker and put a swivel on it and slid
it down his line and just move the rod up
and down, and it made the grouper come right out
of the rocks. I guess in that lead slid down

(01:19:56):
and hit where the fish was in the rocks. It
spooked the fish and made it come right out.

Speaker 3 (01:20:02):
What a genius idea. Actually, so you actually spook the
fish to undo his locking fins. He locks in with
his fins all spry right and made him jump out.
He probably got the fish of the boat. It's pretty cool.
That's cool. Never heard of that, No me either. See
I can't said we do every weekend, Joe. It's amazing
good technique though, Vinie. I mean, maybe try that yourself
one day. You never know when you even locked up

(01:20:22):
the rock or something. Hey, do you you ever?

Speaker 5 (01:20:25):
Can you catch any of these black grouper in like
the inlets during certain times of years of the year.

Speaker 22 (01:20:33):
I would say, yeah, I'm probably sure. When the when
the mullets are in there, I'm sure they're in there.
I mean a lot of the inlets here, I have
a lot of two bears right right that man who cares,
especially when there's a lot of bait in there.

Speaker 5 (01:20:49):
Well, if cow beras are going to be in there,
then I mean grouper have to be in there besides
the goliaths.

Speaker 3 (01:20:55):
You know they're Joe, You're the expert, not me.

Speaker 4 (01:20:58):
Now with that, I am no expert grouper that that
is for sure, man.

Speaker 3 (01:21:02):
But black groupers is a favorite personal fish to catch.
I thought that maybe snook was based up on that
gigantic cat there before Vinnie. But very cool man. So
you're not fishing today, so I guess it's boat making
this or whatever you gotta do, respool lines. I mean,
you guys are always constantly doing things. But people will
take for granted. You know, brand new light is not cheap,
and biking rods and reels is not cheap. None of
that crap is cheap, man, none of it. There's overhead

(01:21:23):
being a fishing captain man like big time. But I mean,
Vinny O, yeah, correct.

Speaker 22 (01:21:28):
Yeah, there's always always something cost in money. I'm sure
you know what boat stands for. Eric busts out another tout.

Speaker 3 (01:21:36):
Do I know that very well? Vinnie, my brother, Thanks
so much. Hey, we gonna be before you go on
to reach you on a good fishing day. What's your
best contact? My friend?

Speaker 22 (01:21:46):
Hey, call us direct nine.

Speaker 3 (01:21:51):
And by the way, one last props to Vinnie. He's
one of the only few guys that actually like my
Facebook post for the promo and like the Instagram post.
He gives me a lot. Most you guys just totally
ignore me. Okay me, you do me totally? Do you mean?
But he always gives me props man, and Eric always
likes his post too. I always like my own because
it makes me feel good.

Speaker 4 (01:22:10):
So d I mean, Vinny, what do you feel about
someone that likes their own posts?

Speaker 31 (01:22:15):
Like?

Speaker 3 (01:22:15):
What would you?

Speaker 4 (01:22:16):
Would you be friends with that person?

Speaker 22 (01:22:19):
Unfortunately I don't have a choice.

Speaker 3 (01:22:23):
The truth was just I will forgive him that because
I like I like Bennie no matter what he says.

Speaker 2 (01:22:30):
At least Benny Benn's honest.

Speaker 3 (01:22:33):
He's honest, great he's honest. Benny, thanks so much. But
I have a great weeked brother, see you man for real?

Speaker 22 (01:22:38):
Yeah, man, have a good one.

Speaker 3 (01:22:39):
You guys, good answer.

Speaker 30 (01:22:40):
I like.

Speaker 3 (01:22:40):
I like that brutal honesty. Man, I like it. It's
really cool.

Speaker 4 (01:22:43):
He said it.

Speaker 3 (01:22:44):
Point b I love it. Man. People know Vinny is
just so straight up, honest and brutal. Man. I love it. Brutal.
Now to a friendlier guy, we go with the Johnny,
who also happened to like my Facebook post too. He
gave me a like as well. Johnny could be he
didn't last light.

Speaker 2 (01:23:02):
Johnny would be honest as well about that.

Speaker 4 (01:23:04):
Yeah, Johnny's pretty straightforward too, right.

Speaker 3 (01:23:07):
Can we bring Johnny on?

Speaker 7 (01:23:08):
You know?

Speaker 3 (01:23:08):
Johnny? Good oneing, buddy, How are you hi, Johnny? Good morning?
I am tired. We uh got to Key West a
day ago.

Speaker 42 (01:23:17):
And we've had some issues with the boat and it's
fantacy fest down here and it's just all around crazy.

Speaker 4 (01:23:25):
It's actually kind of worked out with this weather.

Speaker 42 (01:23:27):
I was supposed to have some trips this week, but
I got the opportunity to run this boat down to
Key West and uh make a little bit of money
and grateful for that because there's probably no way even
on the inside that I'd be fishing in this. It's just,
you know, it makes it tough for people to fish
and cast and you know keep their bait up on

(01:23:48):
the docks and all that.

Speaker 3 (01:23:49):
So down here and uh, a charter for a boat
or not your road?

Speaker 7 (01:23:54):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:23:54):
You chartered a boat for for a guy.

Speaker 42 (01:23:58):
Actually, I'm just running a private boat.

Speaker 3 (01:24:00):
Yeah, okay, gotcha, gotcha? All right? So you're down to keys.
Is the weather blown down as bad as it is here?
Just blowed like a bear today, man, Right now.

Speaker 42 (01:24:09):
It's actually a little bit less than what it was yesterday.
Yesterday it was blowing like thirty five all day. Maybe
all the guys are sitting at the dock, you know,
waiting to move. Got guys down here that are basically
stuck down here and can't get into the Fort Latadl
Boat Show because of the weather. It's a real real mess.

(01:24:29):
But we just left, uh not yesterday, but the day before.
And I fished the two days before we left. So
I think if you want to brave the weather and
you maybe get some more experienced anglers on your boat,
you you should definitely take advantage of this front that's
going to be pushing through. Every time we get a

(01:24:51):
cold front, usually on Lake Ida or you know, pretty
much anywhere you can catch peacocks, the peacocks will start
to go deep.

Speaker 4 (01:25:00):
But it's the most insane fishing.

Speaker 42 (01:25:03):
They are the most responsive when like when that front
is pushing through, they are just absolutely chewing. So I
would say it's a good opportunity to get out. Same
thing with like snook, and you know the inshore fishing too.
You can as that front is pushing through and it's
you know, it's gonna be the nastiest little cold weather.

(01:25:25):
You know, those fishes they gorge because they know that
they may not eat for the next day or so.
It's just just like the I don't know, the diet
to go and just do whatever they want to do,
and they just they eat everything.

Speaker 3 (01:25:41):
Have some very big number of days on fronts. Well, John,
if you're back here doing your tarpet thing, I guess
you've heard the word there's a major mullet run going through,
which I know would fire you up.

Speaker 42 (01:25:53):
I I you know, the mullet run this year has
been has been very odd. The I don't know whatever
I think the first week of September it was, you know,
going off, like immediately there's mullet everywhere. Then like two

(01:26:14):
weeks later they were all gone, and now there's like
a few trickling down. But it's not like a normal
mullet run where you just get like I'm on the
water every day in fresh and in saltwater, and you
just don't see the pods of mullet, like big pods
of mullet. You're seeing like, you know, like little schools

(01:26:34):
maybe like twenty to thirty fish, fifty fish on a
big one. Normally there's like two hundred and fifty fish
in a pod, and there's like ten pods in a mile,
you know, there's just there's usually a ton of eight.
This has been a kind of reserved mullet run for
I guess a lack of better term.

Speaker 4 (01:26:55):
And it happens every every so.

Speaker 42 (01:26:58):
Often we get a kind of a dud mull it run,
and I don't think this one in particular was a dud.

Speaker 4 (01:27:03):
We've definitely got some fish or some bait down here,
but it's not like it usually is.

Speaker 42 (01:27:08):
And you know, we we've kind of loved this time
of the year because you can go out and you
can catch I mean all kinds of fish, snowok tarping,
cubert snappers in the inlets, even like groupers, you know
that all that, all that stuff, it kind of gravitates
towards towards that bait, and it just really never it
never happened in full swing this year.

Speaker 3 (01:27:29):
It's funny. Maybe it's where these captives are joke, because
was like he said, it's like they're swamp. Yeah, he said,
like they're bagging swarm and.

Speaker 4 (01:27:37):
It's got to be just Wayne.

Speaker 3 (01:27:39):
Conn says, off a Mighty beach. They're pretty hefty there,
so could it be sporadic spots too, Johnny as well? Not,
you know, just not a categorically bed mullet run. You know.

Speaker 42 (01:27:50):
I'm also fishing like Pompino Beach and North. I haven't
really fished Miami. Actually, I haven't fished Miami since I
don't know, at least three or four months. So all
the stuff that I'm doing is North. Maybe all those
fishes they I don't know, Yeah, yeah, exactly. They speed

(01:28:11):
pass Pompano Beach like every other fish in the ocean,
and they get to Miami and and you know, Key Largo,
and they stay there forever.

Speaker 7 (01:28:20):
There you go.

Speaker 5 (01:28:21):
No He's right, because I haven't noticed it either in
Pompino or Dearfield. It hasn't been like great.

Speaker 3 (01:28:26):
Last question for Johnny, Johnny, listen, I'm doing a five
day boat show starting ago this coming Wednesday. Are you
going to join me out through this shear and hang
out buddy or why? Man?

Speaker 42 (01:28:35):
You know, I try to avoid the boat shows like
the Plague because I'm not a boat buyer and it's
just too chaotic for me. But if you're in the
market for a boat where you're just like looking at
the boats, it's a great opportunity to see every boat
you know on the market or available at all the
new boat builders. Every year there's a new boat builder

(01:28:55):
that thinks they're going to solve everyone's problems. You can
go and see all those boat It's all in one spot.
So definitely, I agree check out the boat show.

Speaker 3 (01:29:04):
And I will defend the boat show for one reason
only because Nautical Vitch's Marine Group Okay is going to
be out there in force.

Speaker 4 (01:29:11):
Oh they take over.

Speaker 3 (01:29:12):
They are the sponsor this program, and they have justly
taken over the place. Every brand out there in water
in the showroom in the convention center, they put on
a great show. And their boosts aren't like done like
you know, some half assed piece of carpet. They dress
them up. Man, you feel good. There's chairs to sitting
and there's nice people waiting on you. They get this

(01:29:33):
whole concierge kind of thing to buy a boat. Sure,
they don't press you. They don't like, hey, hey, come
like the shark kind of guys. They let you alone. Man,
if you want to boat, just wave the guy over.
The guys in orange, wave over whatever, guys. Whatever. They're great,
they're chill, they're chilling.

Speaker 4 (01:29:48):
You know, they're not aggressive, they're not super aggressive. They're
just there.

Speaker 3 (01:29:52):
You know, Hey, you need help, let me know I'm
here for you. Not they're worse than a housing hounding branded.

Speaker 2 (01:29:57):
THEA Zone is going to be super bad ass on
the north side of the show.

Speaker 3 (01:30:01):
And I believe that Stevo is doing some drawing. Foot's
gonna be going out there.

Speaker 2 (01:30:05):
And by the way, they're gonna be running the Axo
pars as shuttles to get in and out of the show.
Man that can ride on.

Speaker 3 (01:30:11):
That's a great ride. I love that brand. But anyway,
I get yeah, I canna apoid Johnny listen Man have
every time in the keys. Do what you got to do,
my friend, and I always love you other program. You
bring it strong every single Saturday thing. Thanks Johnny, all right,
appreciate it, guys, thank you. All right. So I'm gonna
put it out here. Nobody's wanted to start by bucket.
If you're a late really, if you're a late riser

(01:30:33):
just getting up, now start right. This thing is loaded
with wash and wax and deck cleaner. It comes on
a big box with self contained bucket, a shammy just
it's just an amazing product for your boat, even your car.
This multipurpose stuff.

Speaker 5 (01:30:47):
Man get rid of everything. If you want that right now,
call this number. It be the just jump in.

Speaker 3 (01:30:53):
You'll win. If you make the call, you'll win. That's it, okay,
So shall we do it together, Joe Sure call eighty

Speaker 3 (01:36:21):
Wow, first time to chat with the guy was never made.

Speaker 31 (01:36:24):

great stuff. So enjoy my friend. Thanks for listening to
I appreciate you, man, Thanks brother, thank you. So let's
talk to the best weather cast on the planet, shall we, Jojoe.
Let's do it and ask her why it's windy and
blowing and gnarly here.

Speaker 4 (01:36:48):
I want to hear about this cold front coming.

Speaker 3 (01:36:50):
Let's ask about And we got a cane out there too,
a cane. She got a busy show coming up here.
Great Warren, Good morning too, Jen, Hi Jen, Good morning.

Speaker 44 (01:37:00):
You guys have some interesting weather.

Speaker 3 (01:37:03):
Yeah, well, let's get right to it. What the heck's
going on here?

Speaker 44 (01:37:06):
Well, no one's gone off store this weekend. I can
tell you that it is right out there. You only
have a twenty percent chance of showers, but and it's
mostly sunny, high there eighty four, But the winds are strong.
Northeast winds today twenty five knots gusting up to thirty
seas six to nine feet occasionally eleven in her coastal waters,
rough and exposed areas. Tomorrow no better, thirty percent chances

(01:37:30):
of showers and storms, mostly sunny, high in near eighty
five East winds twenty to twenty five knot seas five
to eight feet occasionally ten inner coastal water is rough
today in the Keys, even thirty percent chance of showers,
sunny with a high there eighty three northeast to east winds.
They're twenty five knots seas four to six feet occasionally
eight feet. That's crazy in the Keys. I haven't seen

(01:37:52):
it that in a long time. Your shore water is
extremely rough, thirty percent chance of showers tomorrow, mostly sunny.
High in your eighty four northeast wind they're twenty five
knots seas four to six feet occasionally eight Near shore
water is extremely rough, and even in Florida Bay northeast
winds twenty to twenty five knots all week and Long
baywater stake extremely rough and scattered showers go greatz. So

(01:38:17):
the reason for it is you have Melissa down near Jamaica,
and then you have a low that's sitting over the southeast,
and basically the winds that are funneling through those two
systems are creating very strong winds for you guys. It's
called a pressure gradient, and so your winds are going
to stay rough throughout the weekend. The winds are stay
strong throughout the time.

Speaker 2 (01:38:37):
Now this wind we're experiencing right now has nothing to
do with Melissa yet.

Speaker 3 (01:38:41):
Correct, It's not.

Speaker 44 (01:38:43):
From Melissa itself. It's from basically, when you have a
high and a low pressure system sitting close together, it
funnels winds in between those two systems, creating what they
call a very strong pressure gradient, meaning you have very
strong winds channelings through those two systems. Does that make sense?

Speaker 2 (01:39:04):
It does a question with Melissa, are we gonna feel
between the keys and the trees here in South Florida?
Are we gonna possibly feel anything in our boaters? And
everyone's got their boats are worried about that right now.

Speaker 44 (01:39:17):
So Melissa's gonna stay far enough away from you guys
to where you shouldn't have direct impacts from the wind.
Melissa could kick up high surf, so you could have
your probably, you know, it could kick up high swells
and high surf, but as far as direct wind impacts,
it's gonna stay. I mean, it's going to move over

(01:39:39):
eastern Cuba and then like this central Bahamas and out
to Seat so it's not gonna get close to you guys.

Speaker 3 (01:39:44):
So you think Jenn it's safe to head up to
the Flemish Cap. No, that'd be okay, I would say,
no Flemish cap yeah, and the Wohlburg whatever jeez. Anyway,
so as your weather, Atlanta.

Speaker 44 (01:39:59):
Cool, Yeah, Oh my gosh, it's fantastic. We have like
these cool Chris mornings where it's like in the mid
forties and then you warm up to like the mid
seventies by the afternoon.

Speaker 3 (01:40:09):
It is.

Speaker 4 (01:40:12):
Perfect, my favorite.

Speaker 44 (01:40:14):
It's incredible. It's like cool and crisps, the leaves are
changing colors. It's like, seriously, the best time.

Speaker 31 (01:40:21):
It's a little sweet spot, you know, Jen.

Speaker 4 (01:40:23):
Are we getting a cold front?

Speaker 6 (01:40:25):
Yes, you are.

Speaker 44 (01:40:27):
You're getting a cold front too, and so you're I
think the warmest day this week for you guys is Monday,
where you have hides in the mid eighties or actually
you have highs like possibly hitting the low nineties on Monday,
and then you have a cold front comes through. Oh
is it. It's the end of the week. So Wednesday, Thursday, Halloween,

(01:40:48):
Thursday and Friday, your highs are in the seventies Halloween.

Speaker 3 (01:40:52):
Justin time for the hot boat show. Jen makes buyers.
It's cool, man. How about that? What timing perfectly time?

Speaker 44 (01:41:00):
That is so perfectly time?

Speaker 30 (01:41:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:41:02):
Well, Chris Caden Cooper and the whole crew. You guys
have a great weekend and enjoy that lovely weather. We'll
ever see down here ever and sometimes love you. Okay,
thanks so much.

Speaker 7 (01:41:14):
Thanks love you guys.

Speaker 3 (01:41:16):
See, let us go to the keys. So talk to
the man. He's the legend. Man met this guy about
at least Joe probably thirty five years ago. Wow, read
a book called the blue Chip too. Uh huh? And
uh what are there the fastest schooners on the water?
What about three knots? Yeah, what'd you guys do? We
went fishing and we caught a lot of fish. Uh

(01:41:39):
mahi u tuna. Uh huh. Some snaps right because Skip
Brady puts me on the fish man. My kids were
like small. He took really good care of the boys,
and great Skip Bradean, good morning, my friend.

Speaker 31 (01:41:51):
Hey Skip, that's quite a rundown.

Speaker 6 (01:41:55):
You know.

Speaker 31 (01:41:55):
I had the blue Chip too, and that was a
Carolina I bought all my busts in Carolina. Anyway, Uh,
that boat had some one twenty leveits. I was twishing
a fifty foot Carolina boat with a one twenty levens.
It didn't pass anything but the gas tanks, boys, so
don't push it. We did with that boat very well,
great Eric.

Speaker 3 (01:42:12):
Great, but skip but not really get fast. You know.
It was a little bit slogan out there, as I'll say, yeah.

Speaker 31 (01:42:16):
Well that's okay. I went to Kimbo with that boat
twice and we get there. We didn't get that fast.
We went there twice and the current helped us get
home on it. You caught a fifty pound while who
I mean got kobea with me one day at least
he was on the boat. You remember what you forgot
that fish? It was fifty like fifty five pounds?

Speaker 8 (01:42:32):
Wait?

Speaker 3 (01:42:32):
Wait, a fifty pound kobia, which he said, Baddy did
I catch? Okay? Master Kobe put it on a peg,
and I mean I never forgot that catch.

Speaker 8 (01:42:40):
Did you?

Speaker 4 (01:42:41):
Did you help him reel that end?

Speaker 3 (01:42:42):
Skip? Oh? Come on, Dad, exact?

Speaker 31 (01:42:45):
They did? Hey? That was that was beird Dog's first
first tournament and that they didn't have a category. We
had the best fish in that tournament and that was it,
the fifty puck Cobe. We didn't get in the walk.
But anyway, that was when mad Dog was with us.
Boy do I miss him?

Speaker 29 (01:42:58):
Anyway?

Speaker 31 (01:42:58):
Here we are were fighting. You know, I don't recall
we had belt show the fighting belt. We have all
that stuff on the boat and the popa. We have
all that stuff to the new boat. But anyway, I
don't recall that. I know what's happening now. We've got
some bumpy weather out there. I use the word bumpy.
You've used every other word today. We'll use the word

(01:43:20):
bumpy out there. And we got a couple of boats
that just left the docks, so we see what happens
out there. Went out out there today. We're out Monday,
which is good news because the weather's supposed to come
down a little bit, according to Gen. And that said,
the blackfin tuna of what we target each week, I'll
tell you what we're targeting down here, and right now
it's a black pintuon. It's been a great bite. Not
so good this week as it was, but then we

(01:43:42):
hardly had any boats out, but we had a magnificent
bite from September and through most of October. Black fintuna
not football, not football. So the fisher like football is
like seven five seven pounds. These fish with ten to
fifteen eighteen pounds, and boy, plenty of them out there,
and they could be there right now if the guys
can get out that far on a reef across the
yellow tail, stop a fishing and the keys. We count

(01:44:03):
on that a lot. I don't hear a lot up
the old way, but that is sometimes a savior for
us down here in the keys, and everything else fails
even when it's good. Maybe you have no fish, you've
stopped on a reef catch yellow tail, or you have
plenty of fish and have another hour or two we
throw the hook and let the people finish up with
a catch yellow tail. So fish is good here. I know,
mah he know, mah he down here we heard of
this week and it is what it is. But anyway,

(01:44:25):
it's it is. It's okay. We need to get this weather,
do that a little bit and we'll I'll be able
to get out there and do some more fishing.

Speaker 3 (01:44:30):
Guys. Yeah, buddy, So thanks for bringing that memory about
the kobea that Jill never heard about. So I never
bragged about that. So fifty fifty pound kobe Joe, Yeah, buddy,
I caught that one.

Speaker 2 (01:44:42):
I have some how many years ago was this?

Speaker 3 (01:44:45):
This is about going about thirty five years at least,
Dan at least Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:44:48):
No.

Speaker 31 (01:44:49):
Mad Dog's first tournament from ziggis that was about twelve twelve,
fourteen years ago. That was that was so any we
forgot about that. That's the probably the best fish you
ever caught.

Speaker 3 (01:45:00):
Straight. I've got so many big ones.

Speaker 31 (01:45:03):
Yeah, okay, well that's that's a nice one. That's a
nice one. I caught with eighty five pounds one time
off the kite on a blue runner. That's the biggest
one I've ever caught. Eighty five pounds. K Yeah, Yeah,
that's a big, big fish.

Speaker 3 (01:45:16):
That's a big one.

Speaker 31 (01:45:17):
Yeah, eighty five pounds on a blue runner on the kite.
I don't remember what I had to dinner last night,
but boy, some things I can recollect. And boy, that
was a good fish right there.

Speaker 7 (01:45:27):
Eighty five.

Speaker 3 (01:45:27):
Would you be a kobe the boat skip? You have
to sort of like knock it out with like some
kind of instrument like a bat or something.

Speaker 31 (01:45:35):
What you mean when you have a koba, here's the story.
You have the you have the angler, you have a
deckcan and everybody else is out of the way. Put
them on the bridge, put him down the bathroom, lock
them in the head, whatever. But you need that kite
that open and have a game plan and if you
have another deckcan you have that deckcand with the cooler open,
the box open, and the deckhan that hits the fish

(01:45:55):
with a gaff takes that fish and none stop takes
it and tries to get it in the box. You
know what about half the time it doesn't. You're in
trouble because that thing beats the heck out of a boat.
So that's the story.

Speaker 34 (01:46:05):
Get out of the way.

Speaker 31 (01:46:06):
They don't bite you like a while.

Speaker 7 (01:46:07):
Who will?

Speaker 31 (01:46:08):
But I'll tell you what. They are really crazy when
they were in a cockpit. So have the box open
and put the fish in the butt.

Speaker 3 (01:46:14):
The spike at the lower back area.

Speaker 4 (01:46:16):
It goes up and down.

Speaker 3 (01:46:18):
They literally know your bed off you.

Speaker 31 (01:46:21):
Yeah, excuse, I'll tell you what. We never had that problem.
I don't know about that spike really, I just I
never took time to look at it. I've cleaned enough
of them, but I don't know about the spike. It's
on the bottom of the kobia.

Speaker 2 (01:46:32):
No, well there's two.

Speaker 5 (01:46:33):
There's one on the top on the on the dorsal
area that goes like up and down, and then I
believe there's another one like in the tail area where
where they're whipping. Yeah, they can they get my buddy
got nicked by that and it sliced them nasty.

Speaker 3 (01:46:46):
Anywaykick, we got a rocking roll you always bring.

Speaker 31 (01:46:49):
Yeah, I got in that street. Good back to the

so it looks like it fits as a travel case
as well.

let's talk through it. I'm patty certified, thank god, Ben,
since I was thirteen years old, thanks to the parents.
But it's really pricey to get certified by your gear
and everything. This is something that you don't need to
be scuba dive certified for. And when it comes to
how much you're gonna be spending on your certification, all

(01:53:43):
the gear and everything, this is gonna be a better
offer for you.

Speaker 3 (01:53:46):
One hundred percent.

Speaker 9 (01:53:46):
I'd rather learn with this than have to go through
a bunch of money courses, you know, at least I
can see if.
