Hello, Hello, let's go Graham be and Sarah Lee ninety
six point nine the Cat And we got one of
the performers for the pregame show for UNC Charlotte versus
un C Chapel Hill on the line, Austin Bigdal Let's
go Austin, one of our favorite people.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Hi, y'all doing, Thanks for having me. Man, it's pleasure
to talk to you this morning.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
We can't wait to see your performance on Saturday, but
we have to know first what team are you pulling for?
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Now? Listen, I grew up a Carolina fan, but uh
you and C Charlotte is my alma manters, we're gonna
be bleeding green and white.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
You're torn, He's torn a little bit.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
All day long.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
All right, Well, we're looking forward to the show before
the game and Chris Lane's performing your performing. I do
have one question, is seven Day Hay's gonna make an appearance?
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Oh Lord, now you're bringing up some old stuff here, now, man,
you know that's uh Seven.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
Day Hayes always always makes an appearing.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Deep down inside, even though we're not releasing music, still,
I'm still a little bit of rock and roll.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
So just to put it in in in context. You
were a part of a band called Seven Day Hayes.
It was the earliest band that I could find that
you were a part of, and I just wanted to
bring it up because I felt like it was the
days when you write unc Charlotte.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
It was. It was like right toward the tail end
of my college days.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
There after I, you know, finally got out of playing
bars and breweries. I put together a rock and roll
band and we we kind of started right at the
beginning of COVID, so it was tough. We did it
a few years, and you know, it was a lot
of fun, and then I put my first country record
out and I ain't went back since.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
So well, you actually can really sing. We hung out
with you and your gorgeous wife at Dell Junior's and
I just remember you singing a song a cappella like
the artist is playing the guitar, and I'm like, is
there any song you can't sing? You're like Luke Colmes.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
You know, I've got I've got an almanac of words
in my head from every song that I that I know.
I got a pretty good memory, and I don't know
how I memory all the words. And it's funny because
I'll get on the stage sometimes and I'll tell my guys,
I'm like, yo, I forgot the first word of this song.
Just let me know the first word and I'll take
it from there.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
And every time you see Austin, there's one thing about
Austin that no matter what day you see him, when
he's performing, he is going to have the biggest smile
on his face. You're always smiling.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
That's right. Every day is a good day to have
a good day, So especially when you get to do
what we get to do and play music and have
a good time to make friends like.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
You guys over the years. Man, I mean, what more
could you ask for it? It's a pretty blast life.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
So I thought you were gonna say he's gonna be
wearing dental. I've never seen him in anything but dental.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Well, listen, it might be a little too hot to
wear denim Saturday, you know, it might be more of
a PFG and type vibe. But I'm sure we have
some dinnim moment because I always wear boots.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Chris Lane is performing with you. Do you guys have
a relationship or you have you performed with Chris Lane ever?
Speaker 4 (02:52):
So we just actually last year.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
You know, I actually, you know, I got to meet
Dustin Lynch and stuff a lot in twenty twenty three,
so me and him became good friends. And so last year,
Dustin came into town at Skyla and I actually met
Corey for the first time backstage, and so Cory and
I started playing golf together, and you know, obviously we
both played music and stuff, and so over time, Charlotte
(03:16):
pitched this idea of like, hey, man, like you guys
are both you know.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
Charlotte alumni, I don't want to do a big.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Event for this game, and so we were able to
make it happen, and through that got to meet Chris,
and me and Chris have been talking a lot lately,
and it's it's been pretty cool to you know, talk
to those folks and be able to get some industry
knowledge that you know, they're fortunate enough and kind enough
to pass.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
Down on to me.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
So will you take this stage at four o'clock this Saturday.
We don't want to miss it. We're going to be there,
and I know you have tickets to give away, So
what caller number should we get just to give these
sticks away?
Speaker 1 (03:50):
All right, No, let's let's go Lucky Number seven Baby

nine six nine zero. Caller Number seven is gonna go
