Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ninety six point nine The Cat, Graham B and Saraily
embarrassing question. Do you recognize this hoodie?

Speaker 2 (00:05):
To you yesterday to the Chris Stapleton concert.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
I'm just glad that you made it back from Greensboro
after the concert last night.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
How was it?

Speaker 1 (00:14):
It was great? And again I drove from the concert here.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
You already know the miss Soldier.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
If I was to shut my eyes for the seventeen
minutes that I had when I got back to Charlotte,
I would have not made it to work. But we're here.
We got a great show. Riley Green is joining the show.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Canna wait to talk about that two handed handshake?

Speaker 2 (00:33):
I know you don't want me to buy am.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
I would love to not bring that up, but we
all know if you want to talk about it, let's
get talked about.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Good about it?

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Ninety six point nine Cat ninety six point nine The Cat.
It's Graham B and Sorily. We have Riley Green, fresh
off his fifth number one worst way on the phone.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
To chop it up. Riley, I have to get right
to it.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
My partner did the two handed handshake. He didn't even
grab your fore army grabbed your wrist.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
We discussed it that we had a moment's version, right.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
Well, what I told him was there are times for that,
you know, I don't know that when we met the
first time, it was the.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Appropriate time for that, right Riley.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
It was fine. It didn't weird me out as much
as it is weird as him out.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
And then the first time you and I met was
in Nashville, and this is before Worst Way had really
hit the radio station. It was my favorite song of
yours and you walk up to me and the very
first line out of my mouth was I want you
in the Worst Way. I was so embarrassed. So, yeah,
we're the most awkward morning show for you.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Riley.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
Well, that's pretty bold. You know that.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
That is pretty bold.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
That's what I said.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
I actually appreciate that now that I think about it.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Well, thank you.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
You mentioned bat and practice with the Durham Bulls and
I got to see you going yard. There's some video
of that. Man, those are pretty cool experiences. What what's
a way that you like to spend your time before
the shows? That kind of he fills your cup a
little bit.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Well, going out and getting to hit some bat and
practice on some of these major league baseball fields and
stuff like that. That's always cool. I mean, as a
sports fan the kid growing up, it's awesome just to
see some of those places and then get to meet
some of the players. We always try to find somewhere
to go work out or just just get out and
move around or do something to get off the bus.
You know. That's always kind of my disconnect, like.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
How do you stay so grounded with all this stuff
going on.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
In your life?

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Well, I just being able to go home. I keep
my farm done in Alabama, where I grew up, is
a pretty good place to get back to reality. I
always say that being a tour and country music artists
and people chant your name on stage is not really reality,
you know, So going back and that regular lifestyle back there,
things move a little bit slower back home. I think

(02:47):
that always helps me kind of keep things in perspective.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Well, I have a really cute miniature horse, So the
next time you come back through the Carolina is if
you want to pick them up and take them home,
you're more than well, he's smaller than a great day.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Oh wow, Yeah, then okay, we'll just pick him up
next time I come through.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Hey, Riley, we know you're busy. We want to thank
you for your time and again, man, I joke about
the two handed handshake, but man, you're You're just a
funny dude, and I could not be happier for all
the success that you're having.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Man. I appreciate y'all and thanks for all the support
on the single. And it was good seeing y'all last weekend.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Thanks again, Riley and Sarah Lee and I we are
on a roll because we have something else with another
massive country artist that just went down to talk about.
I don't even know how to share this story.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
This is the biggest country artist in the world right
now and it has to do with that something personally
and I'm geeking out.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
That went down less than twenty four hours ago. We're
going to tell you the story, give you all the
details in the next ten minutes. Grabby Sarah Lee. Ninety
six point nine The cat What is going on over there?

Speaker 3 (03:44):
So every day around nine point forty, you get Grand
Bun's Pick of the Day, which is a song you
may not hear on the radio, and you give us
a little history behind the song.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Yeah, I'm a music junkie or geek, and I just
like to shed light on certain songs and artists that
I think you might enjoy, and I think you've had
some fun with it.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Yes yesterday was Morgan Wallin's Yeah Skull Chevy and Browning,
which I love the writing of that song and just
thought that album has thirty seven songs, so some people might.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Not have given it time.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
I skipped over that one just because of the title
for the first two weeks.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
The album was out.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
I don't think you're alone in that.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
When I heard the song, though, it gave me coach chills.
It is a phenomenal song. So yesterday that was your
pick of the day, and you are filming guys in
the studio jam.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
And I love the film. Are jam sessions to those picks?
Because selfishly I like to turn people onto new music
that enjoy it.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
I didn't know that you were posting that on your
personal Instagram.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Yeah, next thing I know, Morgan Wallin. Morgan Wallin likes
the bit, likes the video. I'm stuttering. He knows who
I am. Walin knows who I am.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
He definitely knows who you are.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Kind of knows who I am, but like the video
and I am peeking out. It has been almost twenty
four hours and I'm still on cloud nine over a
social media heart.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
It's still cool. Morgan Wallace supports the show. He likes you,
he likes us. It's great.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
It's the best.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
And I have to admit you may have screenshot that
send it to me, and I know you would never
post this on your own personal socials and you didn't
see it online yet. But I shared it with all
my girls. I posted it, made it public because Morgan
Wallin liked that video.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
It was really cool. And I love Morgan. I love
supporting Morgan. I've got a chance to hang with him
at times in life, and I just think he's a
nice guy. I love his music.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
I want to go with you next time you hang
with him, Neil, don't tell me that fast.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
And we actually have one of his friends from North Carolina,
thanks to you, Graham, who has a really good story
to tell.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
He does.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
I'm excited. Dustin Lynch on ninety six point nine The
Cat It's Graham By and Sarahly absolutely love that guy.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
I learned when you posted the pictures of you and
Kevin on Father's Day. There's a picture of you on
a couch and that was Dustin Lynch's couch.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
That was Dustin Lynch's lake house that we were hanging
out at. I think it was during COVID. We went
and spent like a month at his lake house with him.
We went fishing and just hanging.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Yeah, you say that so nonchalantly like that's a normal day.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Well, there was like seven of us there, so it
wasn't just me. Dustin was so kind to include a
bunch of friends. We came out, we kind of fished
all day and they played music and I sat around
and just supported because you've heard me sing, Yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Love when you do karaoke.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
And speaking of great music, we've got Vince Gil tickets.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Yeah, much better singer than me already in the Country
Music Hall of Fame. We want to send you to
see him perform live for free. And this is how
you're going to do it.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
It's so easy.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Just open up the iHeartRadio app right now, hit that
red Talk bat Mike, tell us your name where you're at,
and say I want to go see Vince Gil. It's
that easy to get qualified.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Ninety six point nine The Cat Graham By and Sarah Lee.
You said that you had a birthday wish for someone.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
Pinto, my miniature horse. You're a horse.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
You're talking about your horse.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
He's finally a year old. Today. I made a carrot cake.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
I don't know if he's gonna eat it, but he loves
carrot so much, and so I cannot wait to get
home and go celebrate him.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Pinto is a menace.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
In the best way possible. I love him. I cannot
wait for you and Kevin to come over and meet him.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Kevin is going to be scared of Pinto. No he's not.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
They'll be besties.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
They are going to be besties, all right. Well, Happy
birthday to Pinto, his very first birthday. It's Graham be
Necesarily ninety six point nine, a cat.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
We love carrot cake.
