Speaker 1 (00:00):
It is not a Monday right here on ninety six
point Non the Cat, Graham b and Sarahly. I'm so
pumped to be here today.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Me too. It's almost like a Wednesday because this is
a short week.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Ya Now, we do have a lot of things that
we always talk about what we're giving away, and I
feel like I did not do a good job. I'm
not gonna speak for Sarahly, but I did not do
a good enough job. Because I got home yesterday and
I am crashing on my brother in law's couch. He
made it a point to ask me, hey man, what's
going on with this Panthers game thing like we gotta

(00:31):
can I win that. I said, yeah, you can. I
can't help you. But I guess I didn't explain it
well enough because he was asking me all these details
and he listened to four hours of our show and
still didn't know.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
I love Zach. He's the best.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
He is the best.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Four people get a Panther fan experience, go on the field,
you get merchandise, you get to go I think up
in the booth.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
So I guess I did not say that you get
to go on the field enough. I'm pretty sure that
we mentioned it, but his reaction when he was like, no, no, no,
So we get to the players will be standing there,
we get to go on the field, yes, you get
field access, and then I think you get to go
to the press box in the broadcast booth. There's a
ton of things that go into it.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
And it's the game against the Falcons.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
So my brother in laws from Atlanta, so that's why
he was like, what's going on, Like, you have to
tell me why. I didn't get all the details. So
I want to apologize for not explaining this well enough.
The Panthers giveaway the Ultimate Fan Experience is a sick
prize to win.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Especially you don't even have to like football. I've been
on that field ball ladies, you'll just like what.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
You see, all right. I watch out for the football.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
I haven't been on that field before in a different state,
and they throw that sucker fast.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Yeah, that ball is moving moving all right, great show.
We are going to give you more information throughout the
day about that fan experience that's coming up right around
nine o'clock. Correct me if I'm wrong, because it's our.

Speaker 2 (01:54):

but your first chance today is nine.

Bramy and Sarah Lee ninety six point nine to Cat.
Have a great day, and thank you for supporting what
the Carolina's talking about today. Sarah Lee's top three.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
I don't know. My brain is much too, Graham. But
if you are traveling this week, you are not alone.
They are expecting two point three million people from North
Carolina to be taking a trip this fourth of July.
That's seventy nine thousand more people than last year. So
be patient on the road. We talked about it before.

(02:46):
Do not put your horn, and if you do, just
soft tap it.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Yeah, a little tap, little love taple on the horn
if you're traveling out there.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Also, be safe. Don't be dumb. If you do partake
in extra activities and you like to drink, if you
booze it, you're gonna lose. It is in full effect.
Right now. Last year, one hundred and seventy six alcohol
related crashes happened fourth of July weekend, five fatalities. We
do not want that to happen. So da booz It
and Lose It campaign is in full effect right now

(03:15):
through July sixth, but really it should be going on
throughout the air.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Yeah, yeah, please be safe.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
And if you are traveling to Tennessee, I forty has
reopened between North Carolina and Tennessee after the rock Side,
so that's perfect news for fourth of July weekend. And
as you travel, do not forget to download the free
iHeartRadio app. Make ninety six to ninety the cat number
one on your preset and take us on vacation with you.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Outlaw Country Music Festival tickets coming up right around seven
o'clock for cat Fight. I've mentioned this before, and I
just want to reinvest in how cool Outlaw Country Music
Festival is. Willie Nelson, Willy Nelson, Bob Dylan. But an
artist that you might not know and part of Grandba's
pick that we do throughout the day and throughout the week,
Charles Wesley Godwin is performing, and that is an artist

(04:03):
that many might know because he collaborated on a song
named Jamie was Zach Brian. Zach Brian massive name.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
I started digging into his catalog a few years ago
and he is now one of my favorite artists. And
so not that I'm the authority, but he's just really,
really good. He's making a name for himself. You can
get in early so Outlaw Country Music Festival tickets. The
name to remember Charles Wesley Godwin. We are sending you
for free coming up for catfight right around seven o'clock
Fourth of July in North Carolina. What in the world

(04:31):
do we do? It's Graham being Sarahle ninety six point nine.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
The cat you shoot fireworks, Graham bun and you cook
out and you spend time with your family and friends.
That's what you do.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Okay, Well, that sounds a lot like the Fourth of
July in Los Angeles. I am new to North Carolina.
I was born and raised here, but this is my
first Fourth of July in twenty plus years in the
state of North Carolina. So I was just looking forward
Sarah ly to give me some hints and clues as
to what we do. I would imagine late culture has
got to be massive.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Oh yes, so they shoot fireworks on the lake. Really,
every city has something going on. But you're back in
the South, and I shouldn't say this because I'm pretty
sure it's.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Just between you and I. No one's gonna tell anybody.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
I'm pretty sure it's illegal in the state of North
Carolina to shoot your own fireworks. You shouldn't do it
because it's very dangerous, but a lot of people do.
They go to Blacksburg, they go to clover Rock Hill
and fireworks and shoot them off in the backyard.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
One of my core memories as a kid is our
neighborhood would decorate our bikes and do a parade throughout
the neighborhood. It was one of the coolest things that
my dad and mom would decorate my bike and like
it was just such a cool holiday. So I am
y'all followed the law.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
I remember as a kid my dad buying hundreds of
dollars worth of fireworks and my great grandmother he had
her in a chair in our driveway and he's shooting
off fireworks and the cops start driving by. Everybody runs
in the house and he leaves great Grandma and the driveway.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
Oh no, Dad, Well, you know I'm a rule follower,
but you never know. I might, I might venture out
a little bit. But it is the fourth of July.
Whatever you do, please be safe but definitely have a
great time. Timothy C. From Lancaster, you are a little

beautiful Sophia Kelstrum. She grew up in King's Mountain and
she was just crowned as Davidson County's Miss North Carolina.
She got a twenty thousand dollars scholarship, and now she
is getting to compete in the Miss America competition, which
is unbelievable. I love this girl. She is so sweet

(07:16):
and she does so much for so many local communities.
What a great contestant to be crowned and represent North Carolina.
Congratulations Sophia.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Let's go, Sophia. It's time for catfights with green beans
saly On ninety six point nine the cat in honor
of Independence Day right around the corner. Today's questions all
revolve around America. We got Wayne from Gastonia playing against
Blake from Rockhill for Outlaw Country Music Festival tickets. Question

(07:47):
number one, which city is famous for the liberty Bill? Wayne? Wayne, Oh,
New York. That is incorrect, Lady like a chance to steal.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Y?

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Is Norfolk?

Speaker 1 (08:01):
It is Philadelphia? Liberty Bell in Philadelphia.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
That was a hard one.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
All right, all right?

Speaker 2 (08:09):
What is the name of the United States National anthem? Guys?
The national anthem?

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Wayne Wayne the Star? Yes, all right, we're going down.
Who was the first President of the United States? Wayne Wayne?
George George Washington. George Washington is correct. Wayne is up
to to nothing.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
This state is known as the Sunshine State.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Blake Blake, Florida. Yes, what is the National bird of
the United States? Wayne Blake? Wayne, there we.

Speaker 2 (08:55):

Doesn't know yet. I have no idea, but we're gonna
take somebody. We're gonna go have a good time, that's
for sure. Celebrate America. There you go, Wayne, Just remember
this name, Charles Wesley Godwin, and then give me a
call back after you hear the performance. Let me know
what you think. Yes, they're do it all right, very much.
Ninety six point nine of the Cat Graham b and
Sarah Lee. Congratulations. I think we did this yesterday, but

(09:38):
congratulations are in order.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Cannapolis's own Cameron Marlow got married over the weekend.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Yeah, and it got me to thinking. So you showed
me a story about Rita Aura and proposals. We started
discussing this. I don't know if there is a correct answer.
I don't think there's a correct answer, personal preference. But
does it matter who proposes in the relationship. In the
year twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
Five hundred and five seven zero ninety six ninety so
Rita Aura got down on one knee and proposed to
her man. Me personally, with my bold personality, I can't
do it. I needed my husband to propose to me
because I want a man to lead me. I need
to be submissive to him. But I do have a
niece that proposed to her husband. They're happily in love

(10:21):
and it worked for them.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Yeah, easy answer is personal preference. We want to know
what you think. We also put a poll up on Instagram, So, Graham,
B and Sarily if you want to vote there. You
can't get on your phone and call us. We would
prefer you call us because we want to talk to you,
but you can vote there. The number is one eight
hundred five seven zero nine six nine zero.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Now, Graham, you're single. Let's say you get into a
relationship and from your lips to Gad's ees, yeah, and
it's been two years is a long time, and she's
so in love and she's tired of waiting on you,
so before giving up on the relationship, she gets down
on one knee and proposes.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Oh, I'm going to miss her and we have to
start over. I guess no. I hopefully if that is
in the cards for me, I would like that experience.
I would love to put some effort in and make
sure that that's a special moment. Selfishly, I would like
to do that. That would be my personal preference.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
You would like to propose. But if she did propose,
would you just say I'm sorry? Get up? Boom?

Speaker 4 (11:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
I wouldn't let her knee touch the ground for sure,
because you're a good man. I don't know if that
makes me good, but personal preference, I wouldn't let her
get that far. Hold now hold hold, now hold hold,
now give us a call. Twenty one hundred and five
seven zero nine six nine zero. Does it matter who
proposes in the relationship? Ninety six point nine The Cat
Graham b and Sarah Lee. We are talking about proposals?

Between us, She'll never hear this. No, oh yeah, David,
you're the best brother.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
How many years did it take until you proposed? Two years?
You're a good man, anything beast. Two years is too long.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
I feel judged right. I'm definitely dating people longer than
two years.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
And that's why he's still saying, well, you know, two years.
I think that's enough time to.

Speaker 3 (12:14):

appetizers right to the entree. You know what I'm saying.
Renee was like, nah, no, I'm.

So what is the thundercoat and what does it specifically do?
Now it sounds like it would mute out thunder and
or firework.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
That sounds I wish you would mute it out. It doesn't.
It's kind of like you know, humans have weighted blankets
and it helps them sleep.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Correct.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
It's like a big hug on your dog, and I
don't know what it does how it calms him down.
It doesn't take away all the anxiety, but it sure
does help a lot. And if I can't find his thundercoat,
then I have anxiety because he's shaken to death and
now I'm worried about him. So the thundercoat if Kevin
gets scared during fireworks, highly recommend it.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Well, I'm a thundercoat. Then that's all I do is
hug my dog throughout the entire weekend. That is the
fourth of July.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
I poot floppy in a closet with a box van
and music. I try to drown out everything.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
Thundercoat, it is Kevin. You're gonna be all good this
weekend coming up, we are discussing the Ultimate Panthers Fan.
So you and three of your friends can have the
ultimate Panther fan experience.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
You're gonna watch the game from this suite. You get
pregame on, filled access to see the players up close
and personal, a tour of the press box and broadcast booth,
and autograph merchandise.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
Yeah again, your first opportunity. There's multiple opportunities, but your
first one coming up at nine o'clock, so don't go anywhere.
It's ninety six point nine. Cat Sarah Lee gets detained
at Caro Wins. It's ninety six point nine to Cat
Grammy and Sarah Lee.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Not this time. I did not get walked to the
car this time, but I did get in trouble over
the weekend at Carowins I was so embarrassed. So my
kids love Woodstock Express. Okay, you've got to go to
Carowins and try it. So one of the best rides
out there. And I am that mom that is paparazzi.
I'm taking pictures of everything. So I had already gotten

(22:28):
in trouble because I had my hat on. I kept
my hat on, ma'am, take your hat off. Okay, nobody
wants to see hat head. Well, they don't want to
fly an after in the ride, okay, so say issue concerns.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
So as we're going up the heel Gram, I had
hid my cell phone in my pants and I pull
the phone out to take a picture of my kids
who are sitting in front of me, and for the
first I've done this a million times, okay, but I
got caught this particular time. They go over this loud
megaphone while I'm on the ride. Ma'am, put your cell

(23:00):
phone away, man, please put this cell phone down. That
has never happened.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Well, you're a rebel that doesn't bother you.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
I was so embarrassed, and that's not a great example
for my kids, and so they wanted to ride immediately again.
I couldn't even make eye contact with the people running
the rides.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
So for the record, if you go to Carowins.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
Keep your phone in your bands informational.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
If you're headed to Cara Wins, keep that phone in
your pocket. All right, we do have a chance to
win one thousand dollars coming up. Don't go anywhere, Gramby
and Sarah Lee. It's ninety six point nine the cap.
Gramby and Sarah Lee. It's one of the heaviest travel
weekends of the year here in Charlotte, North Carolina. You
were giving me the numbers crazy.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
They're expecting two point three million people from North Carolina
to take a trip for the fourth and I saw
starting Thursday July third through Tuesday July eighth, Charlotte Douglas Airport,
they're expecting nine hundred and twenty five thousand passengers to
travel through.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
That is a lot.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
So bring some GERM x tissues and.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
Just be prepared to wait and in the up to
date ID and or passport because I forgot and I
flew out to Los Angeles last weekend and showed up
at the airport without my.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Passport and you still got home.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
I'm bres I did I had I had to drop
your name, but they let me through. I know Sarah
Lee and they ushered me through a metal detector and
definitely some security issues, but they let me on the plane.
If you are out and about, you can always bring
us with you. Make sure you download the iHeartRadio app
and make ninety six point nine The Cat your number
one pre set. Coming up a story about Chris Stapleton.

(24:33):
I can't wait to share in a gram Buns pick
that you're gonna love you always have.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
The best insider music news and can't wait to hear it.
Around nine thirty eight.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
Ninety six point nine The Cat Howard, what are you
listening to? Ninety six point nine The Cat gram by
and Sorely that is Chris Stapleton, What are you listening to?

Speaker 2 (24:53):
And I cannot wait to hear your insider information because
he's one of your favorite artists. It is I know
you have.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
Something good I do, so would you say that Chris
Stapleton is one of the largest names and most successful
artists currently in our genre.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
Yes, he wins all the awards and his voice stands out.
It's just so strong.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
When you talk about someone's voice being an instrument. I
think he checks that box. Now. Chris Stapleton was at
one point in time the lead singer of a group
called the Steel Drivers, very successful bluegrass country group. What
are You having?

Speaker 2 (25:24):
Then he got married and his wife said, huh on,
now I'm your partner.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
So an incredible songwriter had written for everybody under the
sun in Nashville, and what are you listening to? Was
his very first solo release.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
That is incredible and only you, Graham Vine, would hold
that information.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
Well, it did not do well, it did not chart highly,
but it's still one of his most successful songs after
Traveler came out. It's not included on Traveler, and so
the solo career almost got put on pause because the
reaction to that song wasn't what his team wanted at
the time. So fast forward, we look back and everyone's like, oh,
of course it's Chris Stapleton. Well, there was a time

(26:01):
where I was at a dinner and someone played that
song and I said, oh, this is amazing, I love it.
I know him from the Steel Drivers, and someone very
influential in the business, NA not gonna work, and my
mind melted. So no matter where you're at in life,
there are gonna be people that doubt you. No matter
how good you are. You have to believe in yourself,
and Chris Stapleton did.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
And so did his wife.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
Chris Stapleton. What are you listening to? It's ninety six
point nine The cat we have more chances to win
this Panthers Ultimate Fan Experience. When we say it's an
incredible prize to win, I mean you and three of
your friends, fueled access to the home opener against the Falcons.

what booth the press box.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
