Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ninety six point nine. The Cat, Graham b and Sarah
Lee Wednesday is here. The weather is still great in
my book. I sat on the porch for hours last
night just watching the rain come down. Hopefully everyone is
safe out on the road, but I am enjoying this
break in the heat.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
There is nothing better than sitting on the front porch,
drinking a cup of coffee or hot tea and listening
to the rain as long as it's not thundering.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
I love that I made the mistake when I moved
here of packing a bunch of hoodies. I have not
been able to utilize that really.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
In the studio. It's negative ten.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Well, yeah, it works in the mornings, but it is
a small break from the heat. Hopefully that continues. I
know that we're gonna discuss what's coming up and what
you can expect throughout the week. Also, Parker McCollum tickets,
Ashley Cook, Hudson Westbrook, you have passes to give to
you sevent ten cap fight all of your favorite music,

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Sarah Lee's top three is I'm still raining outside Grand
fun so take it slow on the road. It is
really nasty outside and it's going to rain throughout the
day today. By height of seventy two, I know, we
are loving that, and it's gonna get warmer as the
week progresses. I know, seventy seven tomorrow, We're closer to
eighty by Friday, and then this weekend we're mid eighty.
(01:20):
So that's the perfect temperature for me.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Let's go. That could be confused for the good news segment. Yeah, oh,
I love it, so Drew.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Unfortunately, the weather did play a part in National Night
Out last night, so some of the events were either
canceled or postponed due to the rain. So Gastonia rescheduled
their National Night Out for October seventh. Uptown Charlotte postponed
to August seventeenth, Matthew's postponed to August seventh, and Freedom
Park canceled. But you still have a chance to get
out and join your community if you live around those areas.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Awesome. Yeah, they're very cool.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
And the dates are set for the twenty twenty seven
Military World Summer Games coming to show Arlette, and you
want to mark this in your calendar because it is
going to be insane if you live in Charlotte, if
you have to travel to Charlotte, it's going to be packed.
So the games are going to be June twenty fifth
through July fourth, And this is the first time this
(02:15):
event is ever held in the US. So ten thousand
military athletes come from over one hundred and forty nations.
This is definitely going to be Charlotte's largest event in
major US history that we've ever had.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Man, that is that's a large event. I didn't realize
it was that big.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Yes, And imagine coming to work with all those traffic

like a little hover thing like the Jetsons back in
the day. We're coming to work on a drone.

Well that is kind of a distant event and something
that we.
Speaker 2 (02:46):

we could make some money.
Speaker 1 (02:52):

around things that come in threes. What are the names
of the three Stooges? This is a hard one, Megan, Larry,
(06:43):
mo and Curly. Let's go how I believed in Meghan
and Meghan delivered?
Speaker 2 (06:47):
I would have not gotten that, right. What are the
three traffic light colors?
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Oden, Meghan, Red, yellow and green? Yes, all right, Meghan's
up two to nothing? Which girl group had three members?
And hits like say my Name and survivor Megan? Megan,
Destiny's Child, Destiny's Child. That's had a big, a hard one.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Yeah, well you know that's an easy one. Graham, come over, girl.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Oh well, the Three Stooges was good.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Yeah, Alexis, thank you so much for playing.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
All right, thank you later, Alexis Megan, congratulations, you were
going to see Parker McCollum on us. Thank you so much.
All right? One eight hundred five seven zero nine six
nine zero. It is time to sound off? How long
are you waiting on someone who is late for no
reason that you're aware of? One eight hundred five seven
zero nine six nine zero. Sara Lee's not waiting more than.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Ten minutes, No way, I have no patience at all.
Speaker 1 (07:43):

ninety six point nine to cat? How long are you
waiting on someone? If you make an appointment? Could be
a friend, could be your husband, could be anyone. Sound off?
How long are you waiting?
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Well, it depends on who it is and what the
occasion is for me, okay, So giving.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
You just a broad general. I you and I make
plans to meet for lunch to discuss whatever, and I
am ten minutes late, and you're like, what's going on?
You check on me? Because you would, you'd say, hey,
are you okay? I respond, yeah, I'm good, I'm coming.
Fifteen minutes goes by. Hey, well you know that we
made this. Yeah, yeah, I'm coming. I'm so sorry. How
(08:27):
long before you hit your wall? I ain't waiting.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
You're not having me sitting there like a duck on
the wall. After ten minutes, I am out the ten.
The worst thing you can do to me is waste
my time and is very valuable unless you screenshot ways
up and it shows me that you're stuck in traffic
and where you are located at that moment.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
I don't have anything. I'm not submitting anything. Bye to.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
My husband will tell you if we're running late for something, Yeah,
because he can't find his shoes. I will give you
two minutes once I blow that horn. If you're not outside,
you can drive on meet you.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
So I think I'm roughly a twenty minute waiter. Twenty
I think after twenty I cut bait to me.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
If you respect people's time, you leave early. Are you
a doctor in traffic and all the things? No, sometimes
things are out of your control. But if that becomes
a habit, I'm not sitting there looking SE's.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
Talking about a scenario with no excuses, no traffic, just
purely late. Then you just showed me you.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Don't value my time. And I am out and I
will never Your wall is ten ten minutes?
Speaker 1 (09:31):
Okay? Have you ever waited longer than ten for someone
with no excuses?
Speaker 2 (09:35):
I don't think so.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Sound off? How long does your patients last?
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Have none?
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Well? Ten minutes? That's some Some people say, hey, I'm
out after five. If I'm not hearing a plausible excuse
of why you didn't make it on the appointed time,
then I'm out some people.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
So you're doing that, I'm sitting at the table the waitress.
They don't serve you until the other party shows up,
So now I look like I've been stood up.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
I don't okay? Sound off? One eight hundred five seven
year old? Nine six nine year old? How long are
you waiting? How long is the patience?
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Sounds off?
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Grandy? Sarah Lee? How long are you waiting on someone?
Before you cut bait and just jet? We got Lindsey
on the line. Lindsey, how long are you waiting? Ten minutes?
Speaker 2 (10:23):

woman than thank you, Lindsey ninety six point nine? The
cat sound off? How long are you waiting? Well?
Speaker 3 (10:34):
If I know the person and this is the first
time they're not shut up on time, maybe twenty minutes.
Give you like you I was the benefit of the doubt. Traffic, Okay,
that's a huge stopper. I can understand that I've been
stopped by trappic too. But if it's like it's somebody
I've never met before, like a blind date, which I
don't do, Okay, I will give them. You still have
(10:56):
that timeframe to call me, let me know you're late.
What's holding you? Look, if you're not showing up, that
my buddy's going home, because I could care this. But
if we need to reschedule, that would be even better
because that gives you the second chance to prove yourself
showing up.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
Oh, I want to give us a second chance. But
what was that number of your phone cut out? Did
you say eight? No?
Speaker 3 (11:16):
I said thirty minutes?
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Okay, thirty this scenario, oh no, In this scenario, there
is no You don't know about traffic, you don't know
about anything. There's no excuses. It's just literally you're sitting
somewhere and there's no communication. How long do you wait?
Is it thirty?
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (11:32):
Okay, you are a nice woman sacious level on fleek.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Yes, somebody needs to marry you up because I'm not
waiting past ten minutes extent?
Speaker 1 (11:41):

Speaker 2 (13:05):
And you and my son Bear, who is ten years old,
we'll not get off this Star Wars cack and I
hear about it every single day.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
You and I discuss fun facts about things all the time,
and I come up with fun facts about Star Wars
because I want your sons to enjoy you bringing this
information and knowledge home. I have another one for you
if you want it. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
So I even tried to get knowledge last night because
Bear was on his Star Wars kick and I text
messaged you and I'm like, because I said, Bear Graham
has this information, He's gonna give me some inside information.
And he wanted it right then, and you're making me wait,
that's right, I can't wait.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
What is it? So the recap before you and I
were talking about the sound that lightsabers make justus in context.
Was the Christmas paper wrapping coil that people like the
cardboard mold up came the air going through the top
of it, and that is kind of the origin of
what the lightsaber sounded like. George Lucas took that and
(14:02):
then kind of morphed it and synthesized it and made
it the lightsaber. Same thing with the Stormtroopers, the white
soldiers that are in the white armor. They have the guns,
and the sound of that is a metal wrench stop
it tapping on a metal fence post slash rope. How
(14:22):
do you know this?
Speaker 2 (14:23):
We cann't wait to tell Bear Well, I.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Looked it up because I thought that one your kids
would enjoy that, and two, I know that you get
annoyed when we talk about Star Wars, and it's one
of my favorite things to do in life to playfully
annoy you. So there those are two like origin stories
of iconic sounds in cinematic history.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
I love it. Well, thank you for the fun Dot.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
You are very welcome, ninety six minutes of NonStop Star Wars,

pause Jason Aldean if you want to hang out with him,
not only get tickets to see him perform live, which
is incredible in its own right, but to kind of
hang with him talk about whatever you want to talk
about life with Jason Aldan, which you can't find anywhere else.
It's very simple. How you qualify to win that opportunity.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
Just open up the iHeartRadio app hit the Red Talk

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Have you ever been to Vegas where you did not
get married?
Speaker 3 (15:57):
No?
Speaker 1 (15:57):
Well, yes I have.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
When I lived in caliph Fournia, I would drive to
Vegas all the time. For what gambling?
Speaker 1 (16:03):
You're a gambler? What's your gamble of choice? What's your
what's your poison cards?
Speaker 2 (16:09):
The only thing I can play is what is it? Blackjack?
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Yeah? Blackjack?
Speaker 2 (16:12):
Blackjack?
Speaker 1 (16:13):
If you don't know the name of the game I learned.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
I learned while I was there, and it's very expensive.
And then I like will of Fortune because when you
really hit it and it says will uh for Jared,
I was like, yes, I'm coming on with a lot
of money. Never do.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
I have not been to Vegas in a very long time.
I went one time, and I went for March Madnis
with my brother in law, ironically enough, because I thought
that I knew a lot about college basketball.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
And you were going to gamble.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
I'm going to gamble on the games. I know all
these players.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
I guess you're crazy.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
I learned. I was humbled quickly. I learned. I think
I took two hundred dollars and at the time, two
hundred dollars still to this day a lot of money.
It was a lot of money for me. I was
so nervous lost it all, which.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
Is usually what happens when you're in Vegas. But you
won't lose for this trip to Vegas. You're gonna win
big time.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Yeah, So what we want to do. And ironically, the
reason that I tell you about me losing my money
is we're sending someone for free, so you don't need money,
or if you have a little bit of money that
you want to kind of spend, you can save it
for these games. I guess Wheel of Fortune because I'm
hearing that that pays out pretty well.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yeah, and I just like the sound effects. But our
big iHeartRadio Music Festival is going down in Vegas September
nineteenth and twentieth. You can see Jelly Roll, Tim mcgral
and a ton more.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
Also, I've been to the T Mobile Arena there and
it is really cool. It's a cool video.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
So your chance to win. We're telling you this because
it is a rainy day. This is gonna brighten your
day when you win and your chance is coming up
at nine o'clock.

it paid, it's as simple as this. You just go
to wait minute.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
Doesn't that sound crazy? We all have bills. Don't you
want somebody else to pay it for you?
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Yes, I asked you to pay several of my bills.
I asked you to pay my lunch bill. The other day.
You said no. I was like, well what about this
cell phone bill? I just need a little bit.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
No always saying no, I know, But we as a
team say yes.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
We're definitely saying yes tomorrow. So eight ten we're gonna
be paying bill. Sarah Lee does a great job. We
don't discriminate. We don't care what bill it is.

at the number.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
Yeah, oh well, how much looking cool? We gonna we're
gonna give you that.
