Samantha Busch joins Sarah Lee to talk about her newly-launched podcast "Certified Oversharer," which is available now on the iHeartRadio app. It's a podcast for anyone who’s ever said “I probably shouldn’t be telling you this…” and then told the story anyway. No topic is off-limits. We’re talking fertility, IVF, mom life chaos, mental health, boobs, boundaries, relationships — the stuff we usually whisper about? We’re saying it out loud. Because let’s be real: life’s too short to pretend we’ve got it all together. TMI is welcome. Oversharing is encouraged. Let’s talk about the real stuff.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ninety six point nine the Cat.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
I am here with Samantha Bush, Kyle Busch's wife, NASCAR driver,
and you have a brand new podcast. You have joined
our iHeart family and you have a podcast named.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
Certified Fied Oversharer.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
And I love that name because I tend to be
an oversharer, so I love that you are, So tell
me about the podcast.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
So I have thought about doing this podcast for literally
five years now because I am an open book and
I overshare with strangers all the time, like things that
you should not even tell your closest friends, like if
you're an elevator with me, I'm like, let me word vomit.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
This to you.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
And so finally I was like, you know what, I think,
I'm going to do this, and so I launched Certified
Overshaer and it has been awesome so far. And it's
not just me talking and oversharing. We have had on doctors,
We've had on women who've battled breast cancer, infertility, trying
to think who else is coming on? We have some

(00:58):
big names like Farah a for him coming on, Maddie and.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Tay oh yeah, I love them.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
So we really dig into all things womanhood, right whether
it's like I said, infertility mom, life mom, guilt to
have it so badmones, hair issues, things the men don't
get and they don't understand, and like we dive in
deep like this is not your surface level combo. This
is like give me the juicy TMI, do not hold back.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
So I love it and I want to go listen
right now. I don't think that people understand what women
go through every day. And I had a man one
time tell me, I think they think when you go
get your nails done, that that's some salt like spat
experience and.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
You enjoy it.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
We don't enjoy it. It takes up way too much time.
But he said, chipped nails means dirty tails, and I
literally inhale all the air in the room. I'm like,
what do you think women just walk around having their
manicures right beside them. If they chip their nail, that's
crazy to me. But after that, that's all I think of.

(02:02):
So I'm like, anytime my nails get messed up, I'm like,
gotta go to.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
The next I done.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
What are people thinking if I have my nails chipped? Like,
that's not okay.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
You got to get the dip then it doesn't come off.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Dip right, I learned it right, that's nice where to go?

Speaker 4 (02:16):
No, but it's super fun and we've already had on
a number of guests and it's kind of exciting because
obviously it just launched, but as more guests come on,
more people are reaching out there like hey, can I
come on? I have a story, or like I want
to overshare this and it's great. I mean like, we've
had women who've gone through a really hard divorce and
job changes, you name it, like we cover it all

(02:38):
and it is completely unhinged and completely unfiltered it.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Do you have women that come on and they say, hey,
I have such a crazy story and need to change
my voice and go on as anonymous because it's that crazy.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
No, Honestly, it's really funny.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Most guests that come on, they have a plan of
what they're going to talk about, and then at the
end they're like, oh my gosh, I can't believe I
overshared all that because you just come in and we
have a little cocktail and you know, card goes down.
Everybody starts over sharing and it's great. That's exactly why
I created this podcast because I want to normalize just
all things, you know, whether we're talking about our period

(03:15):
or we're talking about wearing wigs, or we're talking about
you know, like I feel like I'm a girls girl
and a mom's mom, Like no shame, whatever is best
for you in your life, like you do you, But
we're also going to offer ways.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Of like, look, if you're looking to go more low.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Talks, or if you're looking like I wear wigs, if
you're getting into that, if you need to see fertility treatments,
if you're trying to figure out what's my first step
in a divorce. Not that that's me, but that was
a guest.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
On the show where I just clarify that.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
So that was the rumors we start you and Cole
all the time.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
We know that's just what those you know, for those
rumors to bed.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
But like I think people learn a lot too from
other guests coming on and over sharing.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
And then I've had a lot of fun.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Doing kind of like one off episodes where I can
be completely authentically me because I do show that a
lot on social but you know, Instagram only gives me
like three minutes in a reel to talk.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
So now I could just start my own podcast talk
as long as I want.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
And I love that, and I love that you're so
authentic because the world needs authenticity and you're gorgeous, and
I think that a lot of women need people like
you who are like, hey, look, I wear a wig.
I had no idea that you wear wigs, and I'm like,
I love your hair.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
I'm gonna start wearing a wig, you know.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
And I just think that you inspire women by what
your platform and with what you say, and it makes
them feel comfortable in their own skin and they don't
feel alone. And I think that that's great what you're doing.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Thank you. That has been my goal.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Yeah, I mean, obviously I was forced to wear wigs.
I lost sixty percent of my hair and it's coming
out again. And that's honest truth. And it's you know,
talking to doctors and figuring out hormones. Am I perimenopausal
because I'm almost forty?

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Like these are the.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
Issues I want to talk about on my podcast because
so many women face them and they might face them
alone or be embarrassed to talk about them. There's one
thing I'm not embarrassed by much, so I'm like, let
me talk about it, because then I hope that it
builds that sense of community, it builds that sense of
me too, or I'm getting answers, and that was really
not alone.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
I'm just not alone.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
I feel heard, I feel understood.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
Yeah, like my feelings are valid. I'm not crazy, and
so that's always been my goal with this. So I'm
just super excited.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
And I love your fashion too. Every single time I
see you, I'm like, I've got to have that outfit.
And I remember the first time I met you, the
very first concert at Boatyard Lake Norman out in Lake Norman,
you had on this denim skirt yeah, and You're like, oh,
it might have too much of a slit. So I
went and put lace on it before people were wearing glace,
and I'm like, oh my gosh, this is amazing. And

(05:42):
I looked for that skirt everywhere, but I found out
later that you designed it.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
So I do I find my stuff. That's so I laugh.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
I'm like the worst person to be like an LTK
influencer because.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
I find my stuff. I do like a lot of
consignment shopping. I love that. Or I do like a
lot of poshmarking, or I just like poshmark I just
rewar stuff.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
So like I had this skirt on the other day
and everybody's like, oh it link it and I post
a photo.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
I'm like, well, it's from twenty thirteen. So I just
don't clean out my closet very often. It's so funny
because you know it's going to come back in style, right.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
And that's when my husband's like, get rid of this,
you don't wear it, and I'm like, absolutely not. I
cannot get rid of it.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
No.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
I might not wear it now, but eight years from now,
people are gonna want to know where I got it from.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
So well, I have got to check out this podcast.
I cannot wait to hear it, and you've got to
check it out. It's on our iHeartRadio app Samantha Bush
Certified Overshare, and make sure to check out her Instagram,
where you share a lot of content as well.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
I do.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
I do, and I love that on my content obviously,
it's like a lot of our family and I think
it's funny for anybody listening out there who might be
a NASCAR fan.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
You see my husband Kyle at the race shack, right,
and he's serious and he's working. But then you.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
Come to my social and you get to see the
side that I see like he's super funny, play along
in like TikTok s gets and stuff with me, and he's.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Really good at it, like really good.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
So I love that people kind of get to see
that fun and goofy side that we obviously get to see.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
And you also see it if you ever go to
a Bundle of Joy events like you guys always have
VIP and y'allre so authentic and I am so awkward.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
I'm always sleep deprived.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
And the first time I met your husband, I had
a Lanie Wilson hat on and I said, youl, so,
how do you do? And I said the most embarrassing
thing because his hat looked like my hat. And I
was so pumped because it just came out. And I'm like,
I mean, thinking back, why would a man wear a
Laney Wolfson brand hat?

Speaker 1 (07:39):
I don't know in.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
A skyle bush, but I'm like, oh my gosh, you
is this a Lanie Wilson at And I'm at boat
yard and he was like, a no, he went at
a race.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Yes, it was a Texas motorcya wind hat.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
I will never forget that.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
So now I know anytime there's a race at Texas
y'all are gonna get a hat.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Like you get like a really badass cowboy hat. Actually
it was really really cool.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
So what is the coolest thing he's ever won? Like
I didn't realize that thought you only got trophies.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
No, So, like a lot of tracks do funky stuff
like that.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
So Texas always does the cowboy hats, and then they
do like six shooters, and then at Bristol now they
do like so Bristol Motor Speedway. It's called like the Colisseum,
so like kind of like the Gladiators would have had.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
They have these.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
It's not machety, it's like a sword, like a oh
that is a big thing. And I thought it was fake.
And so the first time Kyle won, I was like, whoa.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Well, I was like, oh shit, that's real. It's real sharp,
Like thank gosh.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
Nobody was behind me, but I was like, well, you
guys are giving out like actual weapons.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Okay, it's amazing. Yeah, And my son at the time
was young and he was like, can I see it?

Speaker 2 (08:45):
No, absolutely, not your slack races now, yeah, I mean
it's one thing of your husband race. It is very terrifying,
but watching your baby in that car.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
Yes, it also kind of brings out the worst to you.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Oh I'm that mom. I am decide by mom that
like I don't talk about my baby.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
My baby's gonna way Oh hell no.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
Like if somebody talks crap about my kid, I like
an full mama bear.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
I'm probably I am a very nice person.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
You are super nice, but like you my baby and
I am like my alter ego comes out.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
It is not pretty. It's only happened once. So Pops
to that a lot of time. But yeah, he races.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
So he started racing actually at five, which is wild.
It was during COVID the dirt tracks were like the
only thing still open, and you know after a couple
months and you're like, a right, we're all going to
kill each other.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Yeah, what are we outside?

Speaker 4 (09:38):
So he started like casually racing and then really just
picked up and so like, for example, this week, he
has five races. So he's been at Charlotte Motor Speedway Monday, Tuesday,
Atlanta Motor Speedway Wednesday, Thursday, and he'll be in South
Carolina on Friday.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
So wow, you're divided, like you have me do your son?

Speaker 4 (09:57):
Yeah, So it's crazy like this week all of us
We're at his race on Monday and Tuesday, Kyle took
him Wednesday and Thursday. I'll go get him Friday because
Kyle's got to go to his race. And so yeah,
we just live by color coated calendars on our phone.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
That's the only way we do like conquer and divide,
say my husband, I'm like, okay, do you have the
kids today? Do I have the kids today? Like I'm
picking them up? Like it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
Yeah, it does.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
It gets nuts, but you know, like our life is
always people like, how do you travel that much? And
because we're on the road, well, and n ask our
itself is thirty eight weeks. So if I had to
guess forty five weeks, no, man.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
I could not do it.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Live out a suit. How do you pack for that?

Speaker 4 (10:36):
Well, Luckily, like when we go to most of the tracks,
we have our motor homes, so like you live usually
it's easy, right, Like you've got all your stuff there.
So I'm not even going to pretend that it's not easy,
because it is. But there's a lot of times, you know,
especially Brexton's racing, that that's not the case.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
And I don't know, it's just it's chaos.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
But like we've been like this for so long that
we don't know another way of life.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
So when you do you drive? If you drive, have
you ever gotten a speed and ticket?

Speaker 4 (11:02):
I've gotten one, but I don't drive like I've married
a NASCAR driver for a reason.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Get me there and get me their fast.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
No, I always joke around. I will fully admit I
am not a great driver. I'm just like there are
some people who aren't great drivers, but like I'm the
greatest driver.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Like I like that you admit that.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
I know I'm not a.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Good driver, and I'm the worst parker. So like, full disclosure,
we're gonna overshare here.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Why not? I suck at parking?

Speaker 4 (11:27):
And I think that when they built our house, they
made our garage stalls like far too small.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
So there's like an inch and a half two inches.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
It's probably like eight inches, but to me it's two
inches on each side. So the other day I had
taken Kyle's car, and so I'm used to like pulling
straight in right, Well, here's you have to do like this,
oh my five point turn and all the things, And
so I literally got out and I went in the
house and I called Brexton, my ten year old son,
and I was like, come park this quit.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Your ten year old son parked it.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
That is amazing.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
I was like, I can't do this. It's beeping at me.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
My butt's vibrating from the seat because it's like you're
gonna hit stuff.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
And I was like, I quit.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
I literally quit, and I just got out and yes,
that's the benefit of having a kid who races.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
I was like, park this.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Beast, I'm done.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
That is amazing. So there you have it. That is
Samantha Bush. You have got to check out Certified Overshare.
You can get it on our iHeartRadio app. Make sure
you download it today. It's a free app and download,
not download, go check out her podcast, Certified Overshare. I'm

Speaker 3 (12:30):
