Speaker 1 (00:01):
What to the Carolina is talking about today? Sarah Lee's
Top three.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
It's gonna be a cooler day today, high of seventy one.
It's also National Coffee Day, which is perfect for a Monday.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Perfect for any day, especially for a Monday.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
I was not supposed to be here today. I was
originally planned to be skydiving this morning, but thanks to
the big tropical storm, I have rescheduled that jump because
I was so scared gram the winds were off, cloud
coverage was one hundred percent. Not likely a day that
you want to go skydiving.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Well, I am glad that you are here, but just
because I was worried about your safety, not because the
board has ten thousand buttons on it.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
And yeah, so just pump to see you here.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
If you're gonna jump out of an airplane, let's make
sure that the conditions are ideal. So today we're gonna
play some country music, We're gonna do some cool stuff,
and you can jump out of an airplane some other times.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yeah, I'll do it next Monday. You don't want to
jump while there is a tropical storm out in the ocean.
Governor's Steying declared a state of emergency for North Carolina yesterday,
and that's just getting ahead of things because there's a
lot of rainfall that we could see. Even though the
storm I believe is being tugged out to see, we
could still see coastal flooding. Dangerous serf. So just keep

(01:15):
that mind if you're headed to the coast. And you know,
I have a big smile on my face. I know
it's not a country artist, but the super Bowl performer
has been announced, and I am a big fan and
I could not wait to come talk to you about it.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
I saw this obviously, had planned on talking about it
on Tuesdays.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
We just knew it was gonna be Taylor Swift.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
We thought it was gonna be Taylor Swift. There was
all these clues. We broke down, the conspiracy of why
it was gonna be It's not. It's bad Bunny, Bad Bunny.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
I am one of his biggest fans. Now he's more
of a pop a lotin artist. I do think that
Taylor Swift still could be added to this list. I
don't think it'll be just bad Bunny agreed. He does
a lot of collaborations with a lot of American artists,
so I can't.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Hate you know that I'm a massive football fans, So
whoever plays, I'm sure it's going to be incredible. But
I will say for next year, I would love to
put it out in the ethos. It's been since nineteen
ninety four, Travis Tritt amongst others.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
I can't.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
I'm drawn a blank. The judge were there, Clint Black played.
It's been since nineteen ninety four since we had an
all country halftime show.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
The next year.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
We've had country performers since then, a lot.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Of them, Yeah, but not an all country and based show.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
And I was hoping, give me Morgan, give me.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Luke, call all the Avengers of country music together next year.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
That's that's what I want to see happen.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Christ Apleton all I wish every genre was represented, so
everybody has something that they like, where nobody feels excluded.
Oh country, you have jelly Roll, Post Malon, sure, Morgan Wallen.
There's a lot of crossover artists. And if you missed
the Panther game on the topic of football, yesterday, they
were playing the New England Patriots. It was an away

(02:54):
game and unfortunately we came up short. Thirteen to forty
two was the end score.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
It was not a great day. It's hard to win
on the road. There were some highlights. I did watch
the game, and yeah, move on to next week.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
You know, keep pounding.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
We got this Panthers.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Something we want you to check out, and we're gonna
handle all the legwork on It is Southern Skate Music Festival.
Tyler Hubbard is headlining and I am pumped. There is
new music coming down the pipeline from a reliable source,
and you're gonna get some snippets of that when he
rolls through Cannapolis. We are sending you during Cat Fight
sevent ten. It's a Monday, thanks for hanging out, Graham

(03:33):
By and Sarah Lee ninety six point nine the cat Long.
I love that song. Luke cohmb's on Gramm B and
Sara Lee. That will get you going on a Monday.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
It's sure will well. Also, we'll get you going finding
out your wife is pregnant with baby number three, which
is some of the Luke Combs recently shared.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Yeah, and you were talking about the age of the
children are so young.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
It's a lot.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
I mean three kids a lot anyway, but like three
under three or whatever the ages are.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Pray for the family. Luke Holmbs recently said that becoming
a parent is like being punched in the face. You
people can give you all the advice in the world,
but until you live it, you don't understand.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
And I love that he dropped the Mike Tyson quote,
like everybody's got a plan. It's great, Yeah, going into
something cool. We're going to handle it this way, this way,
this way, until you get punched in the mouth and
then everything changes, which means he had a plan for
three kids. This is gonna be crazy. Who knows what
the plan is gonna work.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
He said, They can tell you about it all you want, dude.
Then you have the kid and then it's a whole
different ballgame. And I was that mom. I would be like, oh,
if my kid ever did this, then I had that kid,
that kid that did that, and I'm like, oh, man,
parenting is not for the week. So if you go
out to dinner and you see a child maybe being disruptive,

(04:53):
or you see a child looking at an iPad, don't
judge the parents. Pray for the parents, right for the parents.
We need all the what prayers we can get.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Also, good news from Luke Combs and we posted this
to Granby and Sarah Lee. Over the weekend, he posted
a snippet of a brand new song called fifteen Minutes.
It has been recorded in its full length. I think
it's been mastered, so it is gonna be released. I
don't want to say any day now, but in the
near future. So new music coming from Luke Combs and
you can check that out on gram b and Seraly
post Malone Blake Shelton on ninety six point nine The

(05:24):
Cat and your Boy almost went to jail, but not really,
but I did learn a rule of thumbs. So this
weekend there was a storm locally here in the South
End and Dilworth and there was a ton of massive
branches that fell all over the neighborhood.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
You can't just put that stuff anywhere.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
I didn't know that, So you went and got a
chainsaw started cutting trees down.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
We had a chainsaw and I chopped up some of
the large branches and was looking to haul them off.
We went to some dump centers and if that dump
center is not specifically for those materials, I was informed
because I was like, oh, I'll be fine and started
unloading it. They're like, and when I say they my
sister who I was helping it was in her yard. Nope,

(06:06):
you would get in a lot of trouble for that.
I didn't know that. Well, who's who supposed to tell
us that, Wait.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
A minute, can you not just chop them down to
a certain size and leave them outside, like by the.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Curb if you get them small enough.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Now, when I say this was a large branch, that
it would be hours upon hours of cutting to do
that to get it to the smallest size. I got
it so it would fit into my truck, and I
just loaded the truck up and then took it to
a dump center, which I was told wrong dump center,
and all the centers that we needed in our area

(06:39):
were closed on a Sunday. The storm happened Saturday night.
So that's what I'll be doing later today. I'll be
going to dump some of the natural wood that I
chopped up from the storm. But I felt really cool
and I didn't go to jail, which is nice.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
I wondered why you had a really large tree in
the back of your truck.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
And now I know yep.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
So just trying to do the right thing. But also,
like you said, no good deed goes unpunished. I literally
was just gonna put it with all the other Burnett.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
You can't. I don't even think you can burn it.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
That'd be cool.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
I got a ton of good firewood though.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
I mean it's kind of water logged and hence why
it fell out of the tree. Just natural. It didn't rot.
I think it was just heavy from all the water.
But we'll see you learn something new every day. Also,
something we do every day is giveaway free experiences. Here
Southern Skate Music Festival. Tyler Hubbard switch Foot is performing, which.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Is pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
But Tyler Hubbard October twenty fourth and twenty fifth, we
are sending you during catfight. It's gram B and Saraly
good news, Tyler Hubbard. Tickets coming up at seven ten.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
But that's not where it stops. It's gramm By and
Sarah Ly.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
I have to say big happy anniversary to my parents.
They just celebrated. They're forty four, the wedding anniversary. And
I make fun of my dad to this day because
on the wedding day, gram my dad told my mom,
I'm so hungover because he went out with his voice
the night before. He's country. He said, I'm not making

(08:07):
it to the wedding. He showed up with five minutes
despair and I'm like, Mom, you still went and got
dressed in Did you not think he was going to
stand you up? And she said he knew better, he
knew better. But it all worked out and they've been
together for forty four years.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
All I heard was that that wedding started out with honesty.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
So Dad, I cannot believe you told my mom I'm
not showing up to the wedding.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
This is going to be a successful marriage because we
are starting it out with hard truths.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
If I don't get moving mathematically, I won't see a.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Forty four I'll be eliminated.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Southern State Music Festival, Tyler Hubbard is headlining, and we
are sending you in a friend for free seventeen Cat
Fight right here on ninety six point nine The cat
mean It's time for catfight, gram Bean Saily on ninety
six point nine the Cat David versus Out and for
cat Fight. We are playing for Southern Skate Music Festival,

(09:08):
which is going down in October twenty fourth and twenty fifth.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Tyler Hubbart is headlining.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
So the halftime performer of the Big Game has been
announced in honor of that. All of our questions are
going to revolve around large or massive sporting events. What
annual basketball tournament decides the NC DOUBLEA men's college basketball
champion out?

Speaker 1 (09:28):
David Sweet sixth eaves.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
That is incorrect, David, would you like to steal the yes?

Speaker 1 (09:38):
The final four? That is incorrect.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
We were looking for the NC DOUBLEA tournament or March Madness.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
These questions are hard. I just want you to know
Graham Bond made these trivia questions except this one. Carrie
Underwood sings the anthem for Sunday night games of what sport?

Speaker 1 (09:55):
David?

Speaker 2 (09:56):
David, you got it?

Speaker 1 (09:58):
I think that was hard.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
What famous US horse race is nicknamed the Run for
the Roses and goes down in Kentucky David, Kentucky Derby correct, David,
two to nothing out and we need you on the board.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Brother.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
What do participants ride during the tour? Difference?

Speaker 1 (10:19):
David outing, good bye?

Speaker 2 (10:22):
You got it?

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Sarahly coming with the heat. What annual golf tournament in Augusta,
Georgia awards the winner a green jacket?

Speaker 1 (10:34):
David? Masters?

Speaker 3 (10:36):
The Masters is correct?

Speaker 4 (10:38):
All right?

Speaker 2 (10:39):
David, want to win? Congratulations?

Speaker 1 (10:41):
Going to see Tyler we sound off.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
Should screen time on smart devices for adults be limited
and or capped? In? What should that cap be? Sound off?
One eight hundred five to seven zero nine six nine zero.
It's Grammy and sarahle Should screen time on on smart
devices for adults be limited?

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Sound off?

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Yes, because I am addicted to my phone. I spend
way too much time playing video games as an adult
or scrolling through Instagram, TikTok shopping. I'm embarrassed to tell
you how many hours you know how an iPhone will
give you an alert and it it will tell you
your screen time. I turned that notification off.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Putting your feet to the fire. You brought it up.
You gotta share.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
I really honestly don't know now because I turned the
notification off.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
I know, but yes, you gotta tell me now.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
This conversation did arise because you admitted you've become addicted
to a certain game that's on your phone.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Plans versus Zombies. Thank you, Olive Garden. It was on
that little iPad. My son got me playing it and
then I downloaded it to my phone.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
We are in agreement, and this is a different conversation.
We are not talking about kids. I think you and
I are universally on board. Was saying, we think that
should be cap. We are talking about adults.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Yes, it should be capped.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
It should be capped. What do you think that cap
should be.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
It would be beautiful if it could be an hour
a day. You mentioned that earlier, an hour day. I
don't think I could make that cap. So I'm going
to give myself two hours of screen time.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
I think that that would be healthy.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Unfortunately, I think I go over that sometimes every day,
and then.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Weekends are worse because you have extra time on your hands.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Give us a call.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Should screen time on smart devices for adults be cats
one eight hundred five to seven zero nine six nine
zero It's Grammy, it's erely sald doffs nine six point.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Nine is a cat sound Dolph.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Should screen time on smart devices for adults be limited?

Speaker 1 (12:38):
I think so.

Speaker 5 (12:40):
I think any good adults should not be on their
phone every single day. Me personally, I do about two
hours at least on social media.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
Now.

Speaker 5 (12:49):
Sometimes I do have to get on my email, I
do have to look at some other stuff, but Instagram,
TikTok x, I only allow myself two hours on this platform.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
I like that you have such self control because I
definitely do not, and then at the end of the
day I get so mad at myself and have mom
guilt because I'm like, I've been staring at my phone.
I try to be as present as I can, but
there are days where you get sucked in.

Speaker 5 (13:17):
Now my iPhone does pop up when those two hours
are mad?

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Hey do you want.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
Fifteen more minutes?

Speaker 2 (13:23):
Large?

Speaker 5 (13:23):
I get off this app. Well, every now and then
I do hit the fifteen more minutes, So there's a
time or two where if I hit it twice, snooze.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
But social media, you are so professional.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
What a responsible adult?

Speaker 3 (13:40):
I try?

Speaker 1 (13:40):
I try?

Speaker 5 (13:41):
What can I say?

Speaker 1 (13:42):
Who are we talking to?

Speaker 5 (13:43):
This is Jack from Cannapolis.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Awesome, thanks for calling in. Have a good one, y'all,
have a good one.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Sound off? Should screen time on smart devices be limited
for adults? One eight hundred and five seven zero nine
six nine zero is graand be its ealy sound off?
Should screen time on smart devices for adults be limited?
One eight hundred and five seven zero nine six nine zero.
It's gram b and Seraly And I got a direct
message from someone who said, well, if listening to Granby

(14:11):
Andcerily on my smart device counts, then there goes three
hours a day.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Whoo, I love you, thank you so much for the support.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Yeah, that's a good one.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
I thought. I was like, man, that is super cool,
and honestly, that does not count.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
I was gonna say the same thing. Nope, that does
not count as screen time.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
You get a pass for that. But what a great
what a great response.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
But we need at least four hours. Come on, what
what's up with the other hours?

Speaker 1 (14:34):
You two hours? You think this person didn't give birth
to me?

Speaker 3 (14:37):
Come on now, my parents, I love you, Mama, by
love you, Papa, bud am oh bud you guys, you
need to up that three hours you need.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
Those are rookie numbers.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Yeah, we're on five hours every morning.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
Okay, So adults screen time? Should it be limited? Sound off?
One eight hundred and five seven zero nine six nine zero.
It's grandy and seraly, thanks Mama, dad. Six point on
the cat. Screen time for adults be limited on smart devices, Yes, especially.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
If you got a family. If everbody put as much
time and family as they did on screen time, this
world would be a better place.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Amen. Brother. I have two little boys and I couldn't
agree more. We tried to stay very aware of how
much time we spend on the phone, and we do
have a limit in our house, but there are days
where I feel like we should spend even though it
was limited, even less time than we used.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
That's right. We should now works a different story. But
if you got a family, then yeah, it should be
cut down too. More time with the family, less time
on the phone.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
A man, Well, thank you for waking up with us.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Yeah, this voice doesn't sound familiar. What's your name?

Speaker 4 (15:51):
My name is a Bible. I'm from Charrible, I lived
from every morning.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
Oh you made our day.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
Thank you, Michael. We appreciate you. Have a good one.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
I'll have a great dank.

Speaker 3 (16:01):

easier ones, we're gonna rock paper scissor.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Yeah, we have two here, are you ready? Huh rock
paper Oh yeah?

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Oh you you got Graham Buns trivia question. But if
you get it right, you get a pair of tickets
to go to Rising Stars.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
Okay, here we go.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
Can you name two country artists with the first name Luke, Luke.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Bryan and Luke Calm. Let's go.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
That sounds like it's Sarah leek question.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
Did you want to hear? Did you want to hear
Sarah Lee's question? Can you name one country artist with
the first name Garth? That was Sara Lee's.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
Oh good, that's Garth's brecks.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
Of course.

Speaker 2 (17:54):

our Rising Stars concert October sixteenth. That IODI Joe's congratulations.

win one thousand dollars with us right now at nine o'clock.
So at nine o'clock you can win one thousand dollars.
It's ninety six minutes of non soft cat country. The
wildest thing you will hear today. It's gram B and
Saraile And now they are offering pending FDA.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Approval, but it is in the approval stage.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
Anti aging drugs for your favorite K nine.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Yes, that is amazing.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
They are making anti aging drugs and they are providing
them for elderly pets. I love that, and so it's
targeting large.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
Dogs probably they have a shorter life expectancy.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
This drug has already been submitted to the FDA. It
is pending approval, but designed for larger dogs to increase
their lifespan as an anti aging drug.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
I would win thousand percent. Give that to my dog Flappy.
He is one of the best dogs I've ever had,
and if I could give him a few extra years
with me, I'm selfish. I'm taking it.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
The thing in my mind, though, the wildest thing is
that's where we start. Okay, there's anti aging drugs to
slow down this what's next?

Speaker 2 (19:13):
You know what I think is wild that it took
so long to get here.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
Come on now, I know we love our dogs and
shout out to my dog, Kevin, Shout out the Flappy,
all of the senior dogs out there that might need this.
It's the wildest thing I've heard in the long time.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
But I'm for it.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Bottle Rockets in the sky is not the only thing
in the sky. It's Graham b and Sarah Lee.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
I'm not in the sky. I was supposed to be
skydiving today this morning, but with that tropical storm, no, no,
I'm not taking my chances. Cloud coverage was one hundred percent.
It was supposed to rain all day today at the
coast thanks to the big tropical storm, and I am
not doing it until next week.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
Aren't we in a state of emergency too? So beware
we talk about the weather kind of being tumultuous, like
it's really tumultuous.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
Yes, yesterday Governor Stein did declare a state of emer
agency for North Carolina just to go ahead and get
ahead of things because there could be heavy rain obviously,
coastal flooding and dangerous surf. So our friends over at
the coast, I think they're gonna see more of this
weather than we are. But Scott having next Monday, not today.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
Yeah, just be careful and we will keep you posted
on any developing stories with that, because obviously we have
seen the effects of hardcore weather coming up.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
We do have.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
Your opportunity to win your way into a sold out
Laney Wilson's show. When you hear Landy Wilson play, you
have to open up the iHeartRadio app. There is a
red talkback mic right up in the upper right hand
corner of your screen. You just tap that, tell us
your name, where you're listening from, and that you want
to go to the concert as a cat VIP member
and boom, that's all you gotta do. I'm gonna tell

(20:48):
you a little secret. Landy Wilson is playing around nine
to fifty seven ish, so keep us locked.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
It's gram B and Sarah leeck so going.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
That was our headliner for our Rising Stars show, Josh
Ross and I got some tea for you if you
want about Josh Ross.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
If you like I like hot tea, give it me.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
So there's been some rumors and you and I discussed
this at Great Links. Megan Maroney, you and I both
love Mega Maroney. You saw her here performed live in
Charlotte not too long ago.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
Oh, amazing performance. And she's just a sweetheart and she's gorgeous.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
Her debut album, there was a bunch of music about
maybe mistrusting members of the opposite sex. Is that an
accurate description of some of those songs? Well, she just
did an interview and said, one, you can't trust artists
and two you can't trust artists with the first letter
J in their name.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
Are you trying to say it's Josh Ross.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
I'm just saying the rumors are out there. I'm not
the one saying that. But I did read that, and
I know you love tea.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
I do love tea. But is she saying Josh.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
Ross or she never said that. She said just Dean,
could be, could be you never know who it is.
She didn't drop names. She did say there's a few.
Look at you.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
I'm trying to go through the list of I.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Am so proud of you.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
I don't think it's Josh Ross, to be honest with you,
I was just trying to get you excited because I
know you like to teach.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Justin Bieber could have been Justin Bieber.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
You never know Josh Ross. Honestly.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
I got a chance to hang out with him at
Stagecoach and do some interviews with him over tom and
could not be a nicer guy.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
I can't wait to see him live.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
October sixteenth at Kyote Joe's. If you don't have your tickets,
we'll give away some more tomorrow, or you can go
buy them right now at Coyote dash Jos dot com.

Speaker 3 (22:27):

it's Grahamy and Sarah Lee. You're listening to ninety six

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
