go to these concerts and it is a really cool
experience and sometimes it gets lost. We're making friends, Like
I'm new to this city, so to be able to
make friends and be out at these cool events. It
was a really cool night. It was really special. I
am tired, for sure, I'm human.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
We were in here though.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
We in here, yeah, so big shout out to Lauren
Morrissey and her husband. It was great to see them.
And today is going to be a little rainy. The
temperature is going to be low eighties, dipping into the
upper seventies on Saturday, then back up to low eighties
on Sunday, but we are expected to have submarine showers
and at times it could come down pretty fast. So
(05:31):
if you're going out this weekend, you may want to
keep an umbrella handy. There's a lot going on. It
is so hard for me to believe that tomorrow marks
one year since Hurricane Helene hit western North Carolina, and
I remember like it was yesterday. Immediately I joined my
jeep friends and we went out there and we served
and to see the resilience and the recovery that's still
(05:54):
going on thanks to our friends Eric Church, Luke Holm's
Big Stars Cane poured money in. But there's still a
long way to go. Yeah, a lot of work to do,
but there's celebrations happening all weekend just to celebrate the
resilience and recovery. So if you want to go celebrate,
go support local and go out to the mountains.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Proud of the state, proud of everyone that is getting
through a tough times, make tough people, and big shout
out to Drew Baldridge.

they are hitting the road playing the New England Patriots
this Sunday. One o'clock is the kickoff, and I just
have a good feeling. It's going to be a great game.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
We're gonna exploit that front d line. Our run game
is gonna get it going and McMillan's gonna light it up.
I like the Panthers by four and a half.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
All right, I'm with you, keep pounding Bedthers.

the comedy show Jeff Dunham at the Spectrum. We're giving
that away within the next twenty to twenty one minutes.
Keep us locked. It's a Friday. It's Graham B and
Sarah Le on ninety six point nine The Cat Graham
B and Sarah Lee on a Friday. We want you

We are giving away front row passes to Jeff Dunham
(07:25):

I mean, you're up close and personal.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
It's gonna be an amazing times, gonna be a great experience.
Take whoever you want on the front row call right now.
The only thing you gotta do is you do have
to tell us a joke, and it's really easy to
make us laugh. We're sleep deprived, so don't think too
hard about it. Don't be caller here expecting free tickets
with no joke. This is a team effort. One eight
hundred five seven zero nine six nine zero. Front row
(07:51):
passes to Jeff Dunham courtesy of Graham B and Sarahly
Graham Be and Sarah Lee, who we got on the
cat phone on this beautiful Friday morning. Daniel, how are y'all?
We are doing well, but we're about to get a
lot better because we are looking for a joke. You
got a joke for us? Well, I'm gonna give you
my wife's favorite on and makes her laugh every time.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
I can't wait to hear it.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Why do duck have feathers? Don't drawing a blank here.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
Because it covers up there.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
But I was good. You earned it.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
Yeah, now that is actually really funny and the perfect
joke for the front row.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
Awesome, Thank you, that's awesome. Front row to Jeff Dunham
at the Spectrum. Congratulations and we appreciate you making us laugh.
We are not done giving away cool experiences. Greenville Country
Music Festival. Seven to ten. Cat Fight You get to
see Zach Topp, co Wessel, Travis Tritt, and a lot
more buscodon bloodline that's going down seventeen. Cat Fight on
(08:48):
ninety six point nine.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
The cat It's time for cat fight being sairly.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
On ninety six point nine. The cat Clover is in
the house, Timmy Denver is all so in the house, Ronda.
We are playing for Greenville Country Music Festival. Passes Cowetzel,
Zach top Travis Tritt. In honor of Friday. We got
a bunch of questions revolving around Friday. The biggest shopping
day of the year after Thanksgiving, is called what Timmy?
(09:17):
Timmy Black Friday. Timmy is on the board, one's and nothing.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Many high school students love going to this game on
Friday Nightsnda, Timmy, Ronda Football, Yes, sir, I'll.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
School football, all right, Ronda. It's not over yet. We
have seen a lot of comebacks. Maybe we'll see one today, Timmy,
you need one more. In nineteen ninety five, the comedy
movie Friday starred Ice Cube. What is ice Cube's real
job besides acting? Ronda, Ronda uh Figer. He is a singer.
We would have accepted Rapper as well. Ronda is on
(09:53):
the board.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
You go ahead, Ronda. According to the superstition, what date
is unlucky if it falls on a Friday? Timmy Roda
Friday at thirteen?
Speaker 5 (10:05):
You got it?
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Like my favorite TV show, Timmy Right, congrab bud. Let's
go sound off? People getting addressed? Or when you address
someone as mister and missus? Is that terminology outdated? One
eight hundred and five seven zero nine six nine zero
is gray and Sarah le? Sound off? When did mister
(10:27):
and missus become a term that was not deemed respectful?
Sound off? It's gramm b and Sarah Lee.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
I am a mother with two young boys, and to
this day, if I don't say yes, sir, yes, ma'am,
mister misses all those things. My parents said, I'm never
too old to get a whooping, and they will whoop
me as a grown woman.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
To contextualize this, just because I need your help, I
have called someone mister and then been told, hey, look
let's not do that. And so I understand and respect
people's choice, but am I mind never in my wildest
dreams that I ever think that that would be something
offensive to someone you were privy to this conversation, and
so that's what got us talking, like, is that a thing?
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Now?
Speaker 2 (11:09):
Are we past the mister and missus?
Speaker 1 (11:11):
I don't think so. I think that it's it's instilled
in my brain so strong that there's nothing you can
do about it. I was raised that that shows honor
and respect to who you're speaking to. It doesn't matter
if they're younger or older than me. Now, if the
person I'm talking to says, hey, you don't have to
call me that we're friends. Sure, I've had people say
(11:31):
that to me. If they tell me they don't want that,
then I respect that. But yeah, so you tell me no,
I'm gonna treat you with the utmost respect.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
And when I did it, it was to a young
man that is younger than me. But I was raised
in a military family. My father's addressed Blues winning Marine,
and so for me, it's ingrained in my mind as well. Well.
Let us know, is that a term of respect? Is
that an outdated term or terminology? Sound off one eight
hundred five seven zero nine six nine zero is mister
(12:01):
and missus outdated? Sound off? Sound off Christina. Addressing people
by mister or missus these days? Is it an outdated term?
Sound off?
Speaker 1 (12:12):
No, it's just kind of respect a men's sister. I
don't care how old I am. My parents made it
very well known. I'm never too old enough for them
to whoop me if I don't show my respect.
Speaker 5 (12:24):
Exactly, I'm scared of my parents that to this day.
If I don't say yes, ma'am, it's.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Save girl's name. This is the Southern thing.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Thanks so much. Sound off using the terms mister or
missus universally? Is it outdated? One eight hundred five seven
zero nine to six nine zero. It's Graham b and
serially ninety six point nine the cat? How you doing
doing great? We are discussing our sound off right now.
Addressing someone as mister or missus. Do you think it's outdated?
(12:52):
It depends on I guess the environment.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Now, say it's a person that's older than you. You're
at the grocery store, you open the door for them,
they walk in and they don't even say thank you.
Are you still going to use your banners? What's your name?
And where you're calling from?
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Michael Jorner from Favor, South Carolina. How y'all do it?
Speaker 1 (13:16):
We're good. Thank you for waking up with us. How's
your Friday going?
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Oh? Bless, I gotta get this too cut out in
a minute.
Speaker 5 (13:22):
But it's doing good, little Ranny, but it's good, good.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
Well.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
We are sending off best wishes for that dental appointment.
I first says you, bro, you know what.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
You should do as soon as you get done with
your dental work. Are they going to put you under?
Speaker 2 (13:35):
Oh yeah, I said they was.
Speaker 3 (13:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
So then open up the iHeartRadio app after your appointment
and leave us a message and tell us how amazing
it went.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
I would love to hear that message. Good Michael, have
a going brother.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
We'll be praying for you. Thank you for listening to
us on the way to your appointment.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
I'll take it easy, all right, see it, but too
sound off? Addressing someone as miss or missus universally? Is
it outdated? Give us a call one eight hundred and
five seven zero nine six nine zero, or head over
to Instagram, Gramby and Sarah Lee vote on that poll.
Now there are some that are saying yes, it's outdated,
which I would have lost that bet. Give us a call.
(14:15):
Sound off Addressing someone as mister or missus. Do you
think that's outdated?
Speaker 5 (14:20):
I did for years, but no now unless it's like
a much older person.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
I do.
Speaker 5 (14:27):
I respect, I do, but not not somebody in general.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Okay, not universal with me as I work.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
In a public place and I know some.
Speaker 5 (14:38):
People make it offended, but I call them like, hey, honey,
hey darling, thank you, sweetie's that's me nice.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
What's your name, Leanne? Lianne, Leanne?
Speaker 1 (14:49):
If you called me honey or sweetye, it would make
my day.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Well.
Speaker 5 (14:53):
A lot of people smile when I do that, even
when they're grumpy.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
So it turns their round upside down. Yeah, that's that's
just the way I am.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
That's a win. Thanks for calling in all right? By
ninety six point nine the cat we are discussing addressing
someone as mister or missus. Do you think that's outdated
or is it a sign of respect? I call everybody
mister or missus.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Did your parents instill that into you that If you didn't,
you were in trouble.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
Oh absolutely?
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Oh yeah, yeah, they definitely taught me about respect.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
I also use sir and ma'am a lot.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
I do too, And I have two little boys, and
I tell them if they answer with yes or yeah, Oh,
what are you supposed to say? Yes, ma'am?
Speaker 2 (15:37):
Very cool? What's age? My name is Jeaner and her
to this day, I still call my mother in law.
I call her miss Kelly, and you're her favorite son
in law.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
I'm sure.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Ninety six point nine the cat. Who are we talking
to on this lovely Friday morning? This is Kelly?
Speaker 1 (15:53):
So, Kelly, do you think using the term mister or
missus is outdated for children?
Speaker 5 (15:59):
Because I I'm a school teacher, I think students it's
not probably outdated because that's what we use daily in.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
Our school, but not universally. So you feel like sometimes
it is and sometimes it is not. I think so.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
Yes, when you're talking to someone your age or older,
do you use those terms?
Speaker 5 (16:18):
It depends on the person.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Factor.
Speaker 5 (16:24):
It really depends on the person. If it's as someone older,
it's sometimes it depends on their position.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Well, Kelly, thank you for what you do. What school
do you teach at?
Speaker 5 (16:33):
At Mountain Island Charter School, we want.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
To say thank you for just pouring into our young kids,
and we would love to invite you to our Rising
Stars concert at Codie Joe's October sixteenth.
Speaker 5 (16:44):
Okay, that would be awesome. October sixteenth is my birthday.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Well, congratulations, miss Kelly.
Speaker 5 (16:49):
All right, thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
We can't wait to celebrate you on your birthday.
Speaker 5 (16:54):
All right, thank you.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
Ninety six minutes non Stopcat Country rolls on minutes NonStop
cat Country. It's Graham b and Sarah Lee. Anytime that
you hear Laney Wilson, you have the opportunity to qualify
to win passes into her sold out show.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
And look who it is. It sounds like Laney Wilson
right now. To open up the iHeartRadio app and get qualified.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Now tap that little red talkback mike in the upper
right hand corner of your screen. Tell us your name,
where you're listening from, and that you want to go
to Landy Wilson on us Dickerson, I will give you
the floor. It's Grammy and Sarah Ly ninety six point
nine the.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
Cat I am so full of joy and my laughter
got me in trouble last night. I had a great time.
Russell Dickerson puts on a phenomenal show. And so you
and I were walking to the parking lot at the
same time. It was really late and there was a
couple that was enjoying themselves at the concert.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
Well, they were no longer enjoying themselves at the concert because, unfortunately,
they were removed from the venue right as you and
I were leaving. So we were leaving approximately within thirty
seconds of them leaving. So they were in front of us,
maybe one hundred yards.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
Yes, and I thought they were walking to their car
and they were headed home. Now they're far enough they
cannot hear my conversation. And I think, as Hoole Graham,
this would be a great place to put up cameras
and have a reality TV show, because who knows what
these security guys on the outside see when people are leaving.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
The first thing I thought of was security guards must
have the greatest stories, and I feel like are underappreciated
for what they probably deal with on a nightly basis,
because it did seem as if this couple was asked
to leave the venue for very viable reasons.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
They need to pay rates for shore. So I am
laughing because I'm like, man, I can't believe.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
What they see.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
Well, evidently that laughter irritated that couple who was really
far in front of us, but they held on to
that anger till we got right behind them.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
That's right. Well they turned around after you laughed. You
didn't hold back, you were laughing quite audibly.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
Well, I was laughing. If you hang out with Graham Bunn,
he is funny. He is genuinely funny and he doesn't
know it. And I'm full of joy. And it was
nothing against this couple. I actually loved that they were
having a great time. I hate that they got kicked out.
I don't know under what circumstances, but nobody wants to
end their night like that. And it was not personal.
(19:23):
But it became firstue real quick.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
It was a misunderstanding. It was taken out a context.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
And she turned around. She said, what are you laughing at?
And choose the other words.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Here's some other words. Well, we just de escalated the situation.
But I'm so glad that you are okay, you know what.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
She would have taken me out, but I said, I'm
so sorry. I'm just full of joy and I'm tired,
I'm delirious, and I'm just trying to go home. It's
been a long day and I'm really just trying to
cross the street right here, and gets in my car
and she.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
Let me she did not hit me one to ten
and how much do you think she bought your very believable.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
When her man.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Turned around and started walking towards us like oh.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Needless to say, I had to walk Serailee to her
car to make sure. She was like, well, let's just
make sure that they don't follow you back to your car.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
And my parents and my husband or Barry, thank you.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Ninety six minutes of NonStop cat country. It's Grammy and
sarahle Happy Friday. The wildest thing you will hear today.
Burlington Coat Factory has had enough.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
So if you want to go shopping, at least that
this particular Burlington coat factory. They are taking pictures of
their customers as they enter. If you want to shop
at the store, if you don't let them take your picture,
you get turned right back around and.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
You have to leave.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
I don't mind that at all. It would not bother
me to take a photo to go in, because obviously
I'm gonna buy something now. I would not like them
to post it because your boy walks around in default mode,
not looking great. Hey, when I go shopping for a coat,
I'm probably.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
Super tired and not hemmed up for pictures and I
don't think is a problem because their cameras everywhere. Even
when you go to Target and you're checking out, you're
looking at yourself on camera. Grocery store, same thing shouldn't
be a problem.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
I feel like we're going to see this expanding into
all retail businesses for bricking mortar stores where if you
want to go in and buy things before you go in,
you kind of have to identify yourself so they can
kind of keep track of the inventory that's coming in
and out via commerce sales because they don't want it
going out without it being paid for.
Speaker 1 (21:28):
Just don't make me have to scan my license because
I can never find them.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
You that is true. It's grabbed me and Sarah Lee
ninety six point nine The Cat, Luke Colbs Hurricane on
ninety six point nine The Cat and Big shout out
to Luke Colbs and Eric Church for their efforts with
Hurricane Helene.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
It's hard to believe, but tomorrow marks the one year
anniversary of Hurricane Helene heading North Carolina, and there are
a lot of events happening all week and long just
celebrating the resilience and the recovery of our friends in
western North Carol Lip.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
So if you can get out and support Local ninety
six point nine, The Cat, Graham B and Sarah Lee.
October is basically already here and.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
That means so is our Rising Stars concert at Kyoti Joe's.
It is gonna be so much fun you are gonna
regret it if you don't come out.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
Tickets are still available, and we've been giving away tickets
randomly throughout the show at different points, so you never
know when we're just gonna give you an opportunity to
come hang out with us for free and see incredible
rising star talent like Preston Cooper in this song. Week
it's gram By and Sarah Le. Good news on a Friday,
It's gram B and Sarah Lee. We are doubling down
(22:37):
on it.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
I love to see when local companies invest right here
in our own community. Big Cat pat on the back
to Honeywell. They just invested ten million with an M
