it's so much.

Speaker 4 (00:12):
Fun and we have a family four pack.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Anytime someone says you want to get into holiday spirit, immediately.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
I think I want to go see Hot Wheels Monster Truck.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
There's no better gift than spending quality time with your
family and enjoying experiences like that.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
I got to see Monster Trucks when I was a
little kid, and I still talk about it.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
It was such a cool core memory.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
We're giving away your opportunity to share with your family
or your friends, whoever you want to take. Right around
seven twenty for cat Fight, it's Grammy and Sarahle ninety
six point nine. The cat looks like the cold weather
is causing some delay, so you might want to check
and see.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
If you need to be on time or maybe you're delayed.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Yeah, So Charlotte Meck, Cleveland County, Gaston County, Stanley, and
Kannapolis all on a two hour delay this morning. I
remember back in school we never got delayed because it
was cold outside.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
These kids got it made.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Yeah, and we used to to school with tennis records
on our feet. Things have changed. It's Grammy and Zara
Lee ninety six point nine the Cat. Tis the season
to give back and we are trying to do our
fair share here at Grammy and Sarah Lee.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
We want to do it real big.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
We are trying to stuff a bus with as many
toys as we can. We want to be from the
ground to the ceiling.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
So we're going to be living on a bus.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
We're gonna be out there for three days out at
Walmart on thunder Road, just gonna pull the bus right
into the parking lot, get on that thing and gonna
accept toys all weekend long. And every toy that we
collect stays local.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
It benefits Thompson which helps our local foster care families.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
And we're going to be in Concord, So if you.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Live around the area Connapolis, it's just as short drive away,
come see us.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
It's ninety six point non the Cat.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
It's is Debbie from Troltman and I would love to
win Morgan Wailand tickets.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
And it's as easy as that.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Anytime you hear a Morgan walland song on ninety six
point on the Cat.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Just open up the free iHeartRadio app, hit the red
top that mic and leave us.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
A message like Debbie and you're qualified to gotta.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Love the talk back. It's Graham By and Sarah Lee.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
More of your favorites on the way plus Hot Wheels
Monster Trucks Live coming up for Cat Fight seven twenty
Right here on ninety six point nine the Cat.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
What's the Caroline is talking about today? Sarah Lee's top three?

Speaker 2 (02:17):
It is cold outside right now.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
It's twenty nine, but it's only gonna get up to
thirty nine degrees today, which is very cold to bundle up.
And this weather is impacting the school schedule. So a
lot of our surrounding schools have a two hour delay.
I know Charlotte Meck, Cleveland County, Gaston County, Lincoln.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Charter, Pimont Community Charter.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
So before you head out to school, make sure you
check to see if your school has a two hour delay.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
I took two steps out the door, felt the cold,
and checked my phone to see if ninety six point
nine the Cat had some delays because that's how cold
it was.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
He did not.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
We do not get delays, but be safe, if you're
on the road. I know that we were concerned about
some potential icy spots. I didn't hit any of those
on my commute end, but not to say they're not
out there. So keep it slow and steady. And if
you're looking for a fun thing to do, maybe you're
in need of a holiday party idea. You want to
get your girlfriends together, your friends together. And you may

(03:11):
have seen this around Charlotte. There is this red Grinch
themed comedy bus strolling through the streets and you may have.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Thought, what in the world is this.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
It's a comedy show on Wills and you cruise around
Charlotte and the comedian is dressed up like the Grinch.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
The whole bus is decorated and Christmas.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Decor and the whole ride, which lasts an hour and
a half, the Grinch is just roasting everybody in the bus,
cracking jokes. It's byob but a great holiday party idea.
If you don't want people at your house, take them
on the bus.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
That is awesome.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yeah, it looks really fine.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
We'll have to share the video on our socials so
you can check it out.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
And just know, if.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
You're in Cleveland County, there was a water main break.
It's closing a section of Shelby Intersection, which is seventy
four and south to Calp Street, the westbound lane. It's
close today, so residents should expect detours in that area.
And that's a fairly highly traveled area, so.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Just know it may mess with your commute time.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Also, there is a neighborhood in York County, beacon No Villas.
They have been put on a boil water order. I
guess there was a contractor accidentally hit a water line
and the residents are being asked to boil the water.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
That is good to know.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
I can't remember the last time I boiled water for
anything other than food.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Too well, I don't want to have to boil water,
so hopefully they get that fixed soon.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
That's some real adult stuff. I gotta start boiling water
for things. Ninety six point nine The Cat. It is
time to play cat fight. We got hot wheels, monster
trucks live. It's a family four pack one eight hundred
five seven zero nine six nine zero.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Give us a call. Cat Fight. It's time for cat
fights with grand beings. Sarely on. Ninety six point nine
The Cat.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Good morning, David, Good morning, Samantha, we are playing for
Hot Wheels, Monster Trucks Live Family four Pa Now in
honor of our stuff, a bus toy drive going down
this weekend at the Walmart on thunder Road and Concord.
We are doing iconic board game trivia for that family pack.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
What board game is used?

Speaker 1 (05:13):
It has colorful pegs their cross shaped board to race
to the finish, and the name of it sounds like
regret you apologize to somebody, Samantha.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
Samantha Sorry Sorry is correct?

Speaker 3 (05:25):
This board game uses small plastic hippos to chump down
on marbles David Hippo.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Yes, what game challenged you to carefully remove wooden blocks
from a.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
Tower without letting it fall?

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Samantha Jenga.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
This is the worst board game.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
In my personal opinion, I cannot stand it.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
The best forever, the best.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
But you buy properties like Boardwalk and David Monopoly.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
Yes, this was my favorite game when I was a kid.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
What colorful game has you moving along a winding rainbow
path with characters like Queen Frostein, Samantha.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Candy Lamb.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
Candy Lamb is correct?

Speaker 1 (06:10):
That was the tight one sound off. We're talking about
holiday tipping, so basically like an end of the year bonus.
Do you participate and if you do, how much? Where
does the line in? How many people do you include
holiday tipping? It's always an awkward time of year when
you wonder should I be tipping one eight hundred and
five seven zero nine six nine zero.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
Sound off. It's brand by and Sarah Lyn. Sound off.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
We're talking about holiday tips that exists outside of the
function that someone's providing a service.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Do you tip for the holidays? Sound off?

Speaker 3 (06:43):
I have tipped my Amazon delivery driver. I had the
same guy one year and I ordered everything every Christmas
present through Amazon and there were very heavy items, so
I tipped him a fifty dollars Visa gift card.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
I have tipped my cleaning Ladies' service, that company that
comes and cleans, but that's about it. That and in
a delivery driver that I was actually friends with, so
I felt like it was more of a friend thing.
But I have done that holiday tip rest of them,
I have not really done the holiday tipping.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
I know that people say you should tip your mail
lady or man, and your hairdresser, the trash delivery you pickups,
but I feel like, and this is going to sound
so bad. Life is so expensive and my kids have
one hundred teachers. Oh I'm sure so on top of
everybody else than I'm buying teacher gifts and it all

(07:35):
adds up.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
So how much is the tip supposed to be?

Speaker 4 (07:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (07:37):
And where does the line stop and start? Yes, it
could get pretty extensive if that line's long. Even if
it's a small tip that adds up.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
And don't you feel if it's a small tip that
people judge you automatically?

Speaker 5 (07:49):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (07:49):
I don't know. I think anything that you're acknowledging somebody's
service and you're giving them extra, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
I don't think people judge.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Oh well that makes me feel better.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
Maybe I should do it more.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Often because I'm like a ten dollars Starbuck skift card.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Are they judging me?

Speaker 4 (08:01):
I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
I think the sentiment of hey, I appreciate you, and
it's the holidays and I'm going to do a little
something extra because you tip throughout the year on the service.
So anything extra I do think is like, hey, I
just sincerely appreciate you.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
But sound off, I'm bake cookies.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Cookies works? Yeah, sound off? Are you holiday tipping one?

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Eight hundred and five seven zero non six nine zero,
it's grandal say ninety.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
Six point nine The Cat, Who's on the cat.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Phoney Catherine, Good morning, Catherine, sound off. We're talking about
holiday tipping, so basically like an end of the year bonus.
Outside of the functionality of whatever the person provides the service, you.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
Just tipping, like, Hey, happy holidays, here's your tip. Sound off.
What do you think?

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Yeah, absolutely got to be in the giving spirit for sure.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
So who do you tip during the holiday season?

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Anybody and everybody, the people that stand outside with the
little jingle belt, the people that do my nail, Starbuck.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
And how much extra do you give these people? Maybe
just a few dollars?

Speaker 4 (09:00):
And when when is our check arriving? When when you're
sending that over here?

Speaker 5 (09:05):
Grimy, I need one too.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
I'm hoping the CARNI will come back around. I like it.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
I like where your head's at. I appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Well, Katherine, you have a great day and you have
a beautiful heart.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Thank you, Thank you, y'are later.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Ninety six point nine The Cat Holiday Tipping sound Off.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
David from Indian trolley cleaning, the lady, my long guy
and tip the mailman one hundred dollars each.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Look at you.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
You know what on this side, I'm a part time
house cleaner.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
You got all the kids and animals in your house?

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Yeah, you know, I mean for other people, not all.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
Now you wants that hundred dollars bonus, that's what she's
talking about.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Yeah, having merry Christmas, David. We are so thankful for you.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
Make sure you turn left there and be careful. Holiday tipping?
Are you four? What's your experience? Sound off?

Speaker 5 (10:02):
This is Jake with Locus, North Carolina. In my opinion,
if you're going to tip, I would tip in cash.
What I think about it is if I get ten
dollars to go to Starbucks, I'm probably never gonna spend
it on a gift card because I never go to Starbucks.
But if I get ten dollars in cash, then I'm
gonna take it to the gas station and I'm gonna

(10:24):
get me a Monster Jaba or something like that. You
can even do five dollars in.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Cash, get that lottery ticket. Multiply that money.

Speaker 5 (10:32):
Yeah, you can get other things. I have a twenty
five dollars gift card for Jimmy Johnser's been sitting on
my dress there for like the past.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Four years jam as a Christmas gift.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Jimmy John's just catching strays out here, that's literally what
they're doing.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
But if I got twenty five dollars in cash, I could.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
Have gone anywhere I wanted to.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Sounds good, Well, thank you so much for calling in
and have a go one awesome you guys, y'all take
care sound off.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
We're talking about holiday tipping.

Speaker 6 (11:01):
Yeah, I always tip more during the holidays because I
used to wear retail and in restaurants and people are
just really mean the time of year also, so I
feel like the extra tipping helps kind of bunce it out.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
I think they're mean because they're stressed out because they're
spending so much money, especially retail stores.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Who do you tip?

Speaker 6 (11:22):
K oh, Yeah, I tip servers, I tip baristas anywhere
that I'm going that.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
You know offers a tip, or if somebody looks really
stressed out.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Country listeners are out.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
We got the nicest listeners.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
