Speaker 2 (00:00):
We're just gonna conversate. Man, we feel like you're one
of ours. I feel like that's that's a very biased.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Thing, but wrong.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Family's family is important, one.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Of everybody away at Coyote Joe's. I mean, everybody is
still talking about it.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
So cool.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
No, that was I mean just so fun.

Speaker 4 (00:18):
I mean, I've it was one of the first venues
I played with the Bailey, like with Bailey Gosh two
three years ago, three years ago, nostalgic and just yeah,
I love like a grimy bar and not saying it's grimy,
but it's it's got like that nostalgic feel to it. Yeah,
and it's like I just want to rip a full
band show there.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
So yes, It's amazing how many artists come through and
they're like, I love Kyote Joe's.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Like actually, though, like I'm not just again not being biased,
but seriously, don't make it wrong.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
You to get on the bull next time, Thoually, I
rode the bull last time when I was on the
Bailey tour, I rode the bull and I woke up
and I was so bruised.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
I mean, I mean I probably wrote it honestly for
like forty five seconds. Yeah, it was yeah, And I
woke up the next day I was like, why is
my arms for store on the inside of my legs, which.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Asked me to do it.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
I was like, my first job in LA was running
a mechanical bull at Saddle Ranch on sunset and I
was like, not no better, like I'm not getting yeah,
still there.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Oh my gosh, if you get on.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
The bull like you are legit.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
I'm so proud of a real deal. This is a
real deal trying to be so we're here for the CMAS.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
I feel like the last twelve months of your life
a lot has changed. How has this experience been knowing
all the work that you put in in the response
that the music in the catalog is getting.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Yes, I mean it's just so cool.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Like last year being here at this time, I was
dreaming of a number one song that got to happen,
which was awesome. To have another song in the top
fifteen now is just incredible. And the support of country
radio the fans. I felt like single game was the
number one before what number one? Just like the fans
were so good and responsive to that song, So yeah,
just keep keeping on going here and and uh yeah,
I just love it.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Man. I tend to geek out on music. Yeah yeah,
I'm more like, wait a minute, can you biggest man?
The number one great song?

Speaker 2 (01:59):
And I tell you I'm this disrespectfully, but I tell
people all the time, not even his best song, which
is a compliment.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Hey, thank you.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
I think I think the same thing.

Speaker 6 (02:06):
Ye.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
First taste of Gone, Dude place Tasa Gone is like still.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Man heavy, that's a hammer today. Will redo that one
to put it back out.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
So I pitched it to everyone we played, look this song,
here's a song recommended.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
I appreciate it, so harri to the catalog. We're big
fans and I just appreciate you.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
Are you performing this week while you're here, I'm not no.

Speaker 4 (02:25):

kind of stuff, and then head back out on the
road on Thursday.

for having me. Able to see you soon then you.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Won't believe how many men come through here and they
don't have on cologne.

Speaker 6 (02:40):
And I'm always really I'm a cologne freak, you know what.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
I was so excited to meet Blake Shelton and I
finally did in Dallas and he had no.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
Cologne on it.

Speaker 6 (02:48):
Dude, what are you doing?

Speaker 5 (02:49):
Blake?

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Now?

Speaker 5 (02:50):
I mess it a lot for me. So you come
over here.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
What what is this sense?

Speaker 6 (02:54):
It's I've been wearing it for years. It's actually you
get it any work, nothing crazy. It's versha Chi euro.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Versachi, Yeah, Christmas, that's what keeping country alive.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Versace is VERSACEI keeping country alive.

Speaker 6 (03:07):
It smells good, man. You know I was gonna ask
you what was keeping country a lot?

Speaker 5 (03:10):
Now?

Speaker 6 (03:10):
I know the country boys out there wearing the blue
bottle of Versace from Walgreens or air, Walmart, wherever you get.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
It's.

Speaker 6 (03:18):
Yeah, it's like fifty bucks a bottle, but it's worth
every dollar. And everybody compliments. You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Is anybody not wearing that to the girls.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
She's gone, exactly gone, she's going dealing, Carmichael, Thank you
so much man for she gone and thanks brother.

Speaker 6 (03:34):
Are you feeling I'm feeling feeling like a gosh, I
don't even know. It's hard to put in words. I'm
I'm so proud of that song. So watching it climb
the charts and everything and how everybody's reacting.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
It's in that country radio has been. I love it.

Speaker 6 (03:50):
I love that, man, Yeah, yeah, no kidding, it's awesome, man.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
She gone thing was born.

Speaker 6 (03:57):
Man, It's like I wrote that down because I'm like,
people say that all the time. That Riley Green did
a post where he shaved his mustache and the caption
was she gone, I'm like, see, I know it's a
relatable thing.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
I like that, she gone mustache.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
She gone, We're gonna do a thing called pick and pray,
and so you picked one of these.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
And y oh picking, get really going pick and pray?
Like I like that. Have you ever shot your shot
in someone's DMS?

Speaker 6 (04:22):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (04:22):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (04:23):
I feel like I feel like I met my wife
and we started talking kind of like before.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
I even didn't say no immediately right now, No, no, no,
I feel like I was kind of already tied up
with my wife before.

Speaker 6 (04:37):
Like the dropping in the DMS. I don't think that's
a saying yet, right, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Yeah, well, my partner may have split up. In Ella
Linguy's DMS, she's around here or something, a very misleading
statement anything.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
And I was like, hey, I love this song. Keep
doing you, but I guess it was a slide.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
It was a.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Listeners At the time She's gone you, I was pretty
I p l so good busy week you could be
running around? Is it crazy? Is it busier this year?
And seeing it change for you since success? Are we
nicer now?

Speaker 5 (05:11):
Co?

Speaker 6 (05:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Yeah, no, y'all? All right, now, what's going on this week?

Speaker 6 (05:17):
You know, I do got to go out of town,
so I won't be I'll obviously be watching and in
there in spirit and just but uh, but I will
be going out of town.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Okay, do a show working? Yeah, what happens with You're
good at your job. You're making that money.

Speaker 6 (05:32):
But I get excited and I'm you know, I'm still
here in spirits. So but yeah, y'all have a good week. Man,
I'll be I'll be out of town. Well, thank you
for making me a little bit better. Yeah, thanks for
having me appreciate you.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Brother.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Let's go, Hey, Hey, new Dad, new dead grass.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
I hadn't seen you in person since that we we
we were on baby Watch forever man.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Baby Watch, and then you put out a song that
made us all cry. Corney kept sharing it and O'm
my man, that.

Speaker 7 (06:00):
Song just blew up yeah, it's uh, you know this time.
I've always heard that being a parent gives you a
different perspective, and I knew that, but I just you
don't know until you you just know.

Speaker 5 (06:11):
It's you can't explain it.

Speaker 7 (06:13):
And I think now you know, from here on out,
whatever I can do, if that's my lyrics, whatever it is,
I gotta try to make this world a better place
for her.

Speaker 5 (06:20):
And it's, uh, it just makes you look at life different.

Speaker 7 (06:23):
And like I said, it took me a minute, but
it's just happened at just the right time. And I
think you know, if it had been any sooner, it
wouldn't have been Courtney.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
It just it's perfect. So I'm just thankful for everything.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
I love how every time you put out on new songs,
she's like, this is my favorite one, Like it keeps
getting better and better.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
It's like you put hit after hit after hit out.

Speaker 5 (06:42):
Hey we're trying. She's obviously uh you know, uh my rock.

Speaker 7 (06:46):
She's there when when things aren't going great too, and
uh but you know, when they are, it's just nice
to have somebody to share it with. And but like
I said, all all my friends at radio, I love
being in North Carolina. I hear you all literally all
my radio all the time. It's just uh, pretty dang
cool man.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
So I'm hear you on our radio all the time.

Speaker 5 (07:04):
Thank you, I hear I hear. Don't worry.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
One of the things that you and I connected with early,
and I think you've done a great job of never
straying too far away from it, is you always keep
songwriting at the forefront. Has that been more challenging the
more successful you've gotten, Because when you and I first
started hanging out and you're playing me all this music,
which was incredible, I feel like there was a lot
more time in your life, like you've got to prioritize.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Yes, now, So how's that been?

Speaker 5 (07:26):
Yeah, I mean that's a great point.

Speaker 7 (07:28):
It's you know, you try to have you find the time,
but you also know that it's not going to right itself.
You know you want to, but also you know there's
a lot of great writers in this town and to
be able to lean on them when when maybe you
have stuff happening in your own life and the writing
isn't you know what you're feeling inspired to this. So
it's just a mixture. But I'm ready to start writing
about where I am right now. You know, I'll see

(07:48):
I came in full dad. I've never worn sneakers to
alcohol my father.

Speaker 5 (07:53):
I'm a husband. I'm on dressed accordingly flunction over Fashion.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
You all roams though at six point nine.
