Speaker 1 (00:00):
Emily Anne Roberts hanging out. What's up?

Speaker 2 (00:02):
This one's been waiting on you all day, which is Marie.
We're so excited to have you.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
Oh, it's good to be here.

Speaker 4 (00:07):
So my best friend lives in Hawaii and last night
I call her and I'm going through the list of
people were interviewing, and she's like, oh my god, I
love her pretty and pink, and she starts singing your song.
And then she's like, she's a homesteader and she gardens
and she's the best gardener. And I'm like, how how
we talk about being a home stere like, yeah, you know,
living off the land. And so then I'm all up

(00:28):
on your Instagram and I'm like, you've got a green thumb, Like,
is not easy.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
My garden was fried.

Speaker 5 (00:35):
It takes practice, it does, And planting in the earth
helps instead of planting in like raised beds and stuff,
because the ground holds moisture so much more. Don't get
me on a soapbox about it. I'll talk about gardening
for the next thirty minutes. But I loved garden. I
loved a can the food that I grow. I call
myself yee hall me mall one part ye Hall one
part of me mally because I'm young, but I'm into
the old school staff and saying I've got an old soul.

(00:58):
I love old style music, old sotyuleth fashion, old style living.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
I just do.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
So.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Anyways, you have to tell your friend, I said, huh,
I will sweet.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
You do that well speaking of the music, and I
don't know. So we're gonna let you lead here because
there's some things that we were told we were not
allowed to mention or anything. You want to talk, Oh yeah,
I can talk. Okay, Well we'll get in trouble.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
We will. Yes.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
I have a new single coming out yes, called come
Home to You, and I'm so excited about it. It's
a sad song, but I think country music does sad
songs really well, and so I hope people don't relate
to it, but if they do, at least they'll know
they're not alone.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
And I'm really excited for folks to hear it.

Speaker 5 (01:37):
I've shared little snippets online and I'm excited to get
to share the full song this Friday.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Well, we're excited to hear it because thank you. I know.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Well, they're telling us to wrap up, but I do
have one more if we get Yeah. Absolutely, So you
have been out on the road with some very successful people.
Is there anything that has resonated with you that you've
taken away from touring and opening and playing with that
you will keep that you're like, you know what, and
that that's a great piece of advice.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
It's really gonna stay with me as long as Yes.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
There has been so much.

Speaker 5 (02:04):
I've been on the road this year with Blake, Shelton,
Cody Johnson, Clint black, Nick and Maroney.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
And so it's been so good. I've learned different things
from everybody.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
I'll try to make it quick, but from Blake I
have learned that you are never too far along in
your career to turn around and reach out to help
in hand to somebody.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
He has always been so helpful to me.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
To Megan, I have learned that a concert is more
than just the music.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
It is a whole experience.

Speaker 5 (02:26):
And from the second her fans get there, so the
second they leave it is a yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
I mean it's sounded like anything I've ever seen.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
And so that's been cool to see all that you
can do and the culture you can build. And then
with Cody always staying true to who you are, Cody
has been such an inspiration to me of somebody who
has kept that true traditional country sound alive, and he
has brought it to some of the biggest room's biggest stages,
and it's an honor to get to open up for him.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Those are really big games, and it was an honor
to talk to you. So think thank you for stopping by.
And they're wrapping us up, but thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Yes's good to talk to y'all. Thanks so much.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Ninety six point nine A cat, Meg and Patrick, what's up?

Speaker 3 (03:06):
I think we just saw you, like I know two weeks.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Ago we did and you were amazing. Thank you for
doing that. My pleasure, Cody.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Joe's my only question and then I'm gonnaet out of
the way because I know you want to talk about
the fashion.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Always vombit.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
I literally copy your closet.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Hey, I love it.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
That's amazing.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
We do talk about it regularly. Really, look at this.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Last year was all Camo, so I got all the
Camo pan, I love it.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
I'm gonna have to yeah, I think I have.

Speaker 6 (03:32):
I still rock my Camo, but I was like, I
can't wear camo again, Like I have to switch it
up this year.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
You know, well, congratulations on Golden Chaw.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
My question is, and you can abstain if you want to.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
So the deluxe version, I think is it's some early
January right away, very nice. Okay, was that always in
the works, did you? Because a lot of artists cut
twenty songs, released thirteen and they have something that they
loved and the thing was so successful.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Were you like, Okay, we're gonna put up more.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
No. I actually was really against a deluxe album really
for a while.

Speaker 6 (04:01):
Yeah, because well, for me, because of the reason I'm like,
sometimes I feel like deluxe albums have just been like, hey, like,
here's a few extra songs that didn't make the first cut.
To me, that record is the best thing I've ever made.
I've never been more proud of something. I've never made
something and felt like this is exactly, this is perfect,
this is what.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
I wanted it to be.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
And so I wasn't gonna like water it down with
like some you know, didn't make the first cut songs.
It's actually all the songs that we're putting out. These
are all more or less songs that were written since
releasing it. And to me, the reason why I made
it a deluxe instead of a new project. Is because
I do feel like they are continuing the story of
Golden Child and kind of wrapping up the story. That's

(04:43):
why we called it the Final Chapter, because there's been
a lot of growing and a lot of healing and
things that have happened for me in the last year
that I feel like totally.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Work with the story of Golden Child.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
Although yeah, Graham always picks on me because I do
love your fashion.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
I am your b bugest fan.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
And the first time I heard your music was a
year last year, you performed during lunch and I heard
Golden Child, and that song moved me so much because
the lyrics hit me write in my soul. It was
like everything like you drinking and all these things that
you do on a day to day basis that you
think are fun, it can like take the shine off.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
And I'm like that.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
It was such a powerful song, and so then it
took me to your whole album and you mentioned this,
it's healing, it's therapeutic, and I love that you're a
girl's girl, and I love that you're vulnerable in your music.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
But it's not just about vulnerability.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
It's about connecting to other people who can relate like
you speak to the soul, and I think that's what
a lot.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
Of songs are missing these days. Well, thank you.

Speaker 6 (05:43):
And you know, part of what made me fall in
love with country music in the first place is the
storytelling kind of songs.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
That's that's the kind of songs I like to write.

Speaker 6 (05:51):
I'm a storyteller, and on this record, I told my
story and you know, in hopes that maybe people might
see a little bit of themselves in it and hopefully
it would to help them heal and empower them.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Yes, I love that.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Well you they're wrapping us up.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
I wanted to ask what the date night looked like you?

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Yes, I think you did. You did just recently last
night get a date? Yeah we we.

Speaker 6 (06:14):
I mean our date was uber E's Italian and watching
the new episode of land Man.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
Yeah wow, all right.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Well we got it in. Then we thank you for
making tom.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Amazing in the house.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
We have been waiting and it's so good that you
made time for us. Thank you so much. How's the
morning beenz and been crazy? I'm good amazing.

Speaker 7 (06:36):
I've been moving a lot though, you know, they moved
you in and out of the call.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
That's what it is, because this one has been waiting
all day to talk to you.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
But you know what I love about you.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
I'm a girls girl and I have two little boys,
so you're a mom and I don't know how you
look that amazing.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
Thank you back on it to my chin after a baby.
But you you doing this song all my exes and
this song is fire.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
I love it and so at first I didn't know
that Chase was on it, and then I'm like, when
is this coming out?

Speaker 3 (07:08):
And then I came in the studio all pumped. I'm
like this, Ol Graham, the song is out.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
And I typically don't get super pumped about songs, but
I love I need this interview.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
Every interview. I mean, Jesus spokesperson for all my exes.
You are hired, and we're hired.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
I like seeing women on the station, like having female
representation on the station and having a good song that
actually brings POSSI you know, like a fun, good vibe.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
Yes, they know and relate to. That's right. Well, I've
got a couple of xes. How about you, same sister me.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Nobody likes me, Yeah, yeah, yeah, nobody likes me.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
He's got a lot of access.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Come up way too much. Here they came. Yes, somebody
dropped my EXL was like my song, Yeah.

Speaker 7 (07:56):
There you You know what's so funny about exes is
that my husband.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Who is not one to find oh not currently hopefully,
here's the pump bag. I watched Instagram's carrying up back
he does.

Speaker 7 (08:10):
It's his favorite song of mine, and he played it
for Chase on tour.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
Oh wow.

Speaker 7 (08:14):
So that's how the collaboration came to be is because
my husband played it for Chase. But it's so fun
We love Chase. He just had his first number once
and I'm so proud of him, and hopefully he's gonna
have a second. He has anything to do with it.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
There was there any apprehension playing it for your husband,
you know.

Speaker 7 (08:32):
No, So this song is really different than the rest
of the songs. The writers who I wrote this song
with started it without me and then sent it to me.
So I didn't come up about jail Free Guard because
I did write it. I did write it, so but
they had they started the chorus, so they had come
up with I ain't saying that you're right about me.
I'm just saying all my exes would agree, and sent

(08:53):
it to me, and then I went in and like.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Wrote, went.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Sorry.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Halfway down the road, I didn't I couldn't back the
bus up.

Speaker 7 (09:01):
I mean, it's not I don't even think about any
of my exes. Didn't even have any anymore. I'm like you,
we don't even.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Have it, don't have any, don't have any? There are gone, yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
And long gone. Well, thank you so much. We are
going to be playing the song all the time because
it's amazing you.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Thank you, thank.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Langley in the house. Thank you for making time. I
know you're very, very busy. We appreciate and love you.
Thank you for having me go ahead and get.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
This out of the way.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Okay, last time we saw you, it was kind of awkward.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
But well, I say something weird.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
No, I said that my partner slid in your dms
a long time ago, and I made it really weird.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
I was music very supportive.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
And I just wanted to know how she slid in
your dm.

Speaker 8 (09:42):
Since, well, I stopped going in those. Yes, and I
literally stopped going in them.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (09:48):
It's funny because I didn't know that you could hit
like the top request and I was like scrolling through
and seeing some of the people that have sent me DMS.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
Oh, I didn't know that either.

Speaker 8 (09:56):
I've never seen it. Social media is a little scary
these day.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
He's gonna say, most interesting DM that you've seen lately.
Are you able to share that, because I would imagine
they get.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
Very open them.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Yeah, they're all scared. Most of them are scared. Yeah, okay,
So there's actually a lot.

Speaker 8 (10:11):
Of really closy, a lot of cool ones in there,
a lot of girls and even guys talking about what
the music means to them.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
I like to go in there and see some of that.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Yeah, that was gonna be My next question is that
you are having such extreme success, which congratulations, thank you.
Has there been a call or has there been a
compliment that has kind of stood at the top of like,
oh man, that was that was really that was really meaningful,
Like I totally respect that person and for them to
like support it super dope.

Speaker 7 (10:36):
You know.

Speaker 8 (10:37):
The other day I walked into the studio I'm finishing
up this next record. Yeah, I walked in and Keith
Urban was sitting on the couch. It was his studio
that we were recording that, and he was just sitting
on the couch and I walked in there, like, you know,
I'm tired.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Of backing like this is cool all the time.

Speaker 8 (10:51):
So cool. Definitely coming act like a weirdo. But I mean,
there has been so many artists that I've looked up
to for so long. I think that's why the ACMs
kind of rocked my sock so much, just because I
felt like I was meeting so many people I've wanted
to for so long, just to tell them how much
they mean to me, and for them to walk up
and say they knew who I was and they loved
the music.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
It's I Love for.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
A Girl's girl.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
And I saw a video of you sharing the first
time you heard your very first song on the radio.
Oh yeah, that'd be surreal now like your song has
payed every three songs at least on our station. Hey,
to go from like this is the first time I
heard my song to.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Hearing it all the time, how does that feel?

Speaker 1 (11:24):
It's wild? You know, it's I try to I don't know.

Speaker 8 (11:28):
It's just wild and you think about it every day,
but it's just it's weird when you turn on the
car and your your your voice is on there. I
remember me and my dad, Uh, we killed a deer
last year and we were loading amazing and uh, don't
mind if I do. Just came on the radio and
I was like, of course

Speaker 4 (11:46):
Thank you so much, Ella, thank you for taking time
at est seeing you
