Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, it is Thursday. NFL football is back tonight, but
we got a ton of things to get into before
we start that. Sarah Lee makes her grand return to
the studio. We are so pumped about that. That's going
down here very shortly. Right now. Russell Dickerson got some
cool fun facts about this song about this record right
after this, stay tuned. It's Graham being sarahly got a

(00:22):
great show for you today. Details to come. Russell Dickerson
happened to me the song of the Summer on Graham
B and Sarah le fun fact about that record. Now,
Russell Diggerson has a ton of hits and he is
touring and sells out. I would say, you know fairly
Large Venues has a great following. That is now a

(00:43):
multi week number one. It's number one in multiple countries
and the biggest record of his career. So congratulations Russell Diggerson.
He's also playing Charlotte not too far from now, so
we'll keep you posting on exactly how you get in
details all that. We did giveaway passes last week, which
was super cool and big shout out to Russell Diggerson.

(01:05):
Ain't no party like an r D party and If
you don't believe me, ask College Game Day. He was
the one that opened up for College Game Day when
Tennessee took on Georgia last weekend. So Russell Diggerson is
catching on at our d party. It's got receipts. More
of your favorites on the way, Tucker Wetmore, Thomas Rhett
and Co Wessel on ninety six point nine, The Cat,
It's Graham By and Sarah Lee. What's the Carolina's talking

(01:29):
about today? Sarah Lee's top three.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Is gonna be a beautiful day today, high of eighty
seven and I believe this is gonna be one of
the warmest days in the next seven days. So get
outside and enjoy it.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
It is.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
And there is a new Charlotte Walk Club that has
launched in Charlotte or is launching and Grandvin I'm not
sure if you can participate, but you sure can go
to where they meet up. But guys, there's gonna be
a lot of ladies there.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Oh I'm gonna need the information on that, like what
ye wait wait why?

Speaker 2 (02:00):
So it's designed especially for women. It's called the Charlotte
Walk Club and it's just basically there for social connection
and not make you feel pressured to run because if
you go to these other meets, everybody's running. You can't
breathe and talk at the same time if you're running,
not if you're out of shape like me. So the
first walk is September twenty third, a six point thirty

(02:20):
in the South End. They said that future walks may
include wine stops and off trail meetoups. I like that.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
That's my kind of walk club A story for another time,
but it does make me think of one of my buddies.
He asked a girl out and he goes, we'll go
for a run to never talk to him again.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Yeah, why that's not her All day that And if
you didn't see the news, Jimmy Kimmel's late night show
has been suspended indefinitely following some comments he made about
Charlie Kirk's passing away about his death. So you're not
going to see Jimmy Kimmel on late night TV.

For a while. Yep, yep, Disney pulled it.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
And if you want to make a trip out to
the West coast, Coachella has revealed their lineup for twenty
twenty six. Sabrina car Harpender, Justin Bieber Teddy Swims is
going to be out there. I haven't seen a lot
of country.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Country on there, not one.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
I think that they may release more or later. I
think this is the full list.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
I hope, I hope they're gonna when I saw it,
because Coachella usually does feature all genres, a bunch of
country artists, they mix it in. I think the first
one that I remember seeing back in the day was
Chris Stapleton around twenty fifteen, and he sold out the
Palomino stage. You couldn't get anywhere nowhere near close to
the stage. So the fact that they left some off,
I do believe there will be some announcements later because

(03:33):
that just seems very odd. Every year they have country, Yeah, at.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Least Jelly Roll post them alone, Morgan Wallin last.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Year they had a country stage. We're all in Coachella.
There was one set where the whole stage all it
was was country and you couldn't move over there.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Well, tickets go on sell tomorrow if you want to
check it out.

Speaker 1 (03:50):

him take me to work. I'm sure I may have

I've had in a long time. It woke me up
in the middle of the night.

me now.

What's the highest account you got up to?

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Oh gosh, probably in the hundreds.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
I was very proud of myself.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
Yeah, let's go, Amy, thanks for calling in. Hey, Kenny
from Steinfeld, what's your toy nomination sound off?

Speaker 3 (20:11):
It's gonna be Transformers?

Speaker 1 (20:13):
Brother, Oh man, come on now, Optimist Prom cannot be defeated.
Absolutely not. Oh that's such a great one. Thanks for
calling in, Kenny. Have a great day, Bud, you two brother.
We got some good nominations. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
I feel like some of those toys may even be
in the Hall of Fame already, because how could they
not be.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
Optimus Prom definitely in the Hall of Fame. Still up
on Instagram. Head over, Graham B and Sarah Lee. Sound off.
Let us know your toy nomination for the Hall of Fame.
It's ninety six point nine to cap. The wildest thing
you will hear today, it's Graham B and Sarah Lee.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
If you have to go to the bathroom and you're
in China, you now they are charging an entrance speed
to get the toilet paper. I feel like this is
so unfair to women because men don't always need toilet paper.
But to get the toilet paper you have to watch
an ad first.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
Yeah, if I'm in public, I'm probably not watching any ads.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
What if you need extra toilet paper?

Speaker 1 (21:04):
That is wild to me. In my mind, I'm thinking
you're really against a rock in a hard place, because
that's a necessity, that's something that you need, and they're
making you watch an ad.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Women need it more so it's unfair and it's going
to make me not like whatever ad pops up that
company is going to be xed out in my mind
for life.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Can you imagine the ad space how expensive that is?
Because that is something like you know what I mean,
like that is Super Bowl prices. Yeah, on the back
end of that, like you know, certain times the ads
go up. You know, it's crazy. That is the wildest
thing that I have heard in a long time. Ninety
six minutes of NonStop cat country continues Graham b and
Sarah Lee. We've got one of our rising stars, Chase McDaniel,

(21:47):
joining the show, and we're giving you two tickets to
see him perform at that Rising Stars show. What's going on,
Chase Man, it's good to be on y'all.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
Thanks so much for having me. Yeah, of course, so
good to hear your boys. And we had so much
fun hanging out with you when we were at the
Kannapolis Cannonballer's game.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
Getting in trouble so good, y'all always get in trouble.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
Now, have you ever played Gyoedy Joe's before?

Speaker 1 (22:08):
We have played Cody Joe's. A couple of times. My
first time I played there, we just had the best
and I packed the place out. I love Katie Jose.
I can't wait to come back. How far out do
you do the set list? Now? I know that it
changes because you have different set times, but.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
I make the set list a lot of times, fifteen
minutes before I call on stage. A lot of times
I'll do like a little meet and gree before the show.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
Some fans might make a song request or two. My
band probably hates me because I'll come in there. I'm like,
I'm working on it. I'm working on man. It's awesome.
We could not be more excited to have you as
a rising star brother, and also we're pumped to support you, man,
and we like to get in early and we can't
wait to watch your journey. Man, y'all been so fantastic.

(22:48):
Thank you so much for reporting me, thanks so much
for reporting the album, and just again, thank you all
from the bottom my heart. It means the world to me.
Well it means the world to us as well. And
we're gonna give away some tickets to that Rising Star
show right now. One eight hundred five seven zero nine
six nine zero Your opportunity to win your way into
that show. Now ninety six point nine the cat name
and where are you calling from?

Speaker 3 (23:10):
My name is Courtney and I'm calling from Corneliot, so
North Carolina.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
How would you like to go to our Rising Star
concert at Coyote Joe's one hundred percent?

Speaker 1 (23:20):
Okay? Now, all you got to do is answer a
very simple trivia question. Rising Stars is going down in October.
Can you tell me another popular holiday that we celebrate
in October? Via Sarah Lee?

Speaker 2 (23:34):
Halloween?

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Halloween is correct. We're all going to be partying for
Rising Stars and that question comes directly from Sarah Lee.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
You have to make it easy, Griam.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
Thank you, Sarah Lee. I love you.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
He doesn't understand our brains don't function that past early
in the morning.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
All right, Well, we've got Chase McDaniel's new song, burn
Down Heaven on ninety six point on the Cat, burn
Down Heaven, Chase McDaniel of our Rising Stars here at
ninety six point nine in the Cat, it's Graham By
and Sarah Lee. That is our show. Friday is almost
here and it looks like Friday Show is gonna be crazy.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Yes, we're gonna catch up with Paul shadd see how
life's going in retirement. I hear he's got some sold
out Lanny Wilson tickets he's given away this weekend.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Yeah, we're gonna get you all the details on how
you can win your way into a sold out Laney
Wilson show. Plus NASCAR driver Zane Smith is joining the show,
and I believe he's given away passes to the Robo
four hundred.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
And isn't Ernest performing before the big race?

Speaker 1 (24:34):
He is the pre race performer. You've got a great memory.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
Yes, so you get to get to the race and
a concert. It's gonna be an amazing Friday.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
We do it Friday big around here.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
We like to start your weekend off as a winner.

Speaker 1 (24:45):

point nine the Cat. Thanks for listening to Graham B

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
