Speaker 1 (00:00):
You guys probably know why we were playing this. Why

(00:03):
you playing that song? Can he? Well, it's plaining yourself, sir,
thank you so much. It's a little nod to this. Well,
I didn't think you had it in you. I'm you, Huckleberr.
Whyet Johnny Ringo? You looked like somebody just walked over
your grave. You got a little dad, right, Bros? That's

(00:26):
that movie, that Tombstone movie. Huh Well, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
You don't normally give a damn about Hollywood, but talk
Holliday died.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
I don't know. There's a good show right there. It
was good, bro. Then an ice Man, even though they
made it all gay and top done only maw Kilmur's
gay and Tom Cruise is probably like you know, half
and half. I've heard stories people say, you know, I
guess Tom Cruise got so popular to being a sex

(00:54):
symbol when he was young. He went through every woman,
so he decided to try something else for a chain.
But it don't it don't necessarily mean Maverick's Day, you
know what I mean? On my top gun? That was
one gay movie.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Okay, well there's that obviously the scene right, there's an
advent one that.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
I snapping the teeth or popping the towels, or the volleyball.
You can be my wingman. You name it. It's gay,
you know.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
No, you're right, you just named a whole bunch of stuff.
But I was talking about the volleyball thing. Okay, I know,
I don't.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
I shouldn't assume that most people knew I met that.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
But the volleyball scene was clearly val Kilmer, right, And
then he did Tom Cruise and Anthony Edwards that's goose
goose man, Yeah, a goose and they're all playing shirtless
volleyball together.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
And then hey, anyway, yeah, no kidding, Malcolmer. He's gone,
but not forgotten. See that's the difference. We're all gonna go,
but some of us will be remembered after we go,
and some won't. Steve, what was top secret? Do you remember?
It was his first film. It was a spy movie.

(02:06):
And all I can visualize in my head from that
is the the promotional poster or whatever. It had a
cow in it. Boy, you're right, And I don't know
if there was people dressed as a cow to sneak
in something, but there were cows. Yeah, what an odd film?

Speaker 2 (02:24):
And they were wearing Cajun style rubber boots like in
New Orleans. The well the cows are, but they're not white. No,
well they're white and black, right the boots are?

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Is it? Boots are not white?

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Is that a thing? The white boots? I didn't know that.
Why do they need to be white?

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Is?

Speaker 1 (02:40):
It's just how they made them? You know, Cajun topsiders
were talking about. Huh, I'm surprised. I didn't know that.
You look them up. No, I believe you, but you
should look them up. I'm often wrong.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
I've never doubted you on this radio show ever, Billy, Yeah,
that's true. Cage and topsiders they're called how about that?

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Are they white? Now?

Speaker 2 (02:58):
I want to get a pair of those? Oh yeah,
you a good nose. I feel like I would would
didn't if I'm not mistaken? Didn't Ron DeSantis wear them?
And he was widely mocked by the national news media
for not sons about right, and then they also made
fun of him for the cowboy boots And can I
just say there are things about Ron de Santis that
aren't perfect. But I don't know if his footwear, which

(03:19):
is very Southern, is the thing we should all be
making fun of.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
I don't make fun of a man for wearing boots,
most of them really stupid looking ones.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
They claim that his boots had a little thing in
it to make him taller.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Yeah, that's what they said. I have no idea if
that's true or not. I don't think no matter how
I mean, he could put the phone book in the
bottom of his boozy wouldn't be as tall as Trump.
So what would be the point. I don't understand why
he won't rally around.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Byron Donalds, the black congressman from Florida, is now running
for governor.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
And didn't they have an election in Florida last night?
They did and did Byron win. I don't think it
was for governor. No, it's for congress two congressional seats.
So we just swapped out a couple of the Republicans
in Florida went to work in Washington, so we just
flopped out the Republican for Republican. That was like a
break even. It could have gone bad, but it didn't. Wisconsin,

(04:12):
on the other hand, was a little disappointing, right, Yeah,
we had talking about Wisconsin. They voted four voter id thing. Yeah,
that was a big win. Says Trump. And then they
also voted for some radical leftist Supreme Court judge state
Supreme Court who is against voter ID. Yeah, so what

(04:35):
the hell is going on in Wisconsin? I think what you.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Could really say is a lot of voters don't understand
this stuff. They don't get it right because the person
they ended up electing is sort of kind of a radical. Yeah,
and at the same time, they put a new law
in place to protect us from radicals.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
So go figure.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
So Matt Kates is now in a TV news job
at o an previously occupied by a woman I used
to date, and.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
You gonna date him? No? Oh, he's a handsome fellow.
I mean, you can do worse, you know.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Thanks for saying that's sweet of you, billy. I don't
know if that's a compliment or not, but I'll take it.
And then so now we got these two congressional seats
in Florida, and I don't think it's changing much in
the House for the time being, which is good because
we still have the votes to get things like lower
corporate tax rate, which is what a lot of people
were hoping for. And isn't the tax cuts from Trump

(05:28):
one point zero about to expire pretty soon.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Well, beats me, what is taking so long?

Speaker 2 (05:32):
And the short answer is, at least today a feud
between Anna Paulina Luna and Mike Johnson and it has
to do with the pregnant ladies that need to vote.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Okay, like, just give this to her, you guys. I'm
supporting her all the way. I'm behind that girl.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Billy, And I don't think I don't think you realize
how that sounds to people. What do you mean It
sounded a little provocative the way you put that. Oh
well they got dirty mind, that's all.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Oh, thank you for explaining that. Yeah, that must be
the case. Yeah, you know, I don't so I would
never mean something like that.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
The very attractive female congressional representative from Florida is protesting
right now with Democrats because she thinks that people who
have recently had a baby or about to get a
baby should get what is it, twelve weeks roughly three
months of proxy voting, and the Freedom Caucus is not
down with that because it reminds them too much of

(06:30):
that period of time during the pandemic when nobody was
coming to work in Washington.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Dah, yeah, remember that. Well, as actually the one of
the positives of the pandemic. Nobody went to work in Washington,
d C.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
For a while. It was helpful. I never thought about
it that way. But yeah, if you were there, you
wouldn't have to look at them.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
So there's that. Yeah. Other exciting news in the world
of politics this morning, Jasmine Crockett, that's called out Marjorie
Taylor Green And I don't know if they're gonna, you know,
put gloves on, maybe uh enter the octagon or you know.
Two women in her one woman leaves. They do not
like each other. But Jasmine Crockett says that Marjorie is

(07:12):
scared of what I could do to her physically. Now,
this seems not that I'm uh, you know, I love
to always put myself in the position of others of
how we understand. And you're known for your empathy. Yeah,
what is it? Empathy? Oh? I like that I got.
I got some empathy. You really do. You're empathetic, Billy
ead that's what I call you. Empty of empathy? No, No,

(07:34):
you're full of it. I'm full of it. Yeah, You've
always have been. Uh. If I was black is something
people say sometimes, And if I was black, I'd be
concerned about those racists out there who say that some
black people they get a little you know, uh angry,

(07:57):
and then they want to you know, get looking physical,
oh like stereotypes for example. Well, yeah, there you go.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Well it reminds me of this other news story today
from Jasmine Crockett's part of the state, the Metroplex.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Perhaps you've heard of it.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
There is a school district up there. I hope I'm
saying this right, hurst Uless, Bedford isd.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
There's good. There's a middle school there where.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Last week this was a national news story, but it
was a blip on the radar. A adolescent boy happened
to not be how do I describe this? He looks
a lot like Jasmine Crockett, maybe not a lot, but
more like.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Jasmine Crockett than He's not a pale face.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
He doesn't look like Marjorie Taylor Green, is what I'm saying.
And this video went viral of this boy beating the
snot out of a white kid.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
While didn't a white kid who's on the ground getting
punched multiple times, Why didn't he throw his leg up
over the guy's arm and then you know, put him
in a leg lock and twist that shoulder until he
screamed for mercy. Okay, I could see your confusion there.
This is not cobra kai. Oh this is real. This

(09:02):
is real life. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Sorry, As this adolescent boy who happens to not be
white is beating the crap out of this white kid.
The white kid's teeth are it looks like they're flying
out of his mouth. I mean, this is if you
have any humanity. This is hard to watch.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
And then all the students standing around watching they they
they're not they don't have no humanity, I guess because
they just watched.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
In their defense, they're middle schoolers, right. But more frustrating
here is the couple of teachers who walk up, one
of them holding a coffee cup.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
As you could see, Instead of grabbing the kid and
pulling him off of the guy, they walk up to
him and there they're trying to have a conversation with him. Right,
he say, there, I don't know what the guy's name is, DeMarcus, Yeah,
we don't know it. Say what would you think about
possibly getting up off that white boy and stop punching

(09:52):
him till his teeth fly out of his head? What
do you say?

Speaker 2 (09:55):
No, that's not what they do. They just come over
and kind of casually tap on him.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Yeah, would you would you consider?

Speaker 2 (10:00):
And as this is taking place, you know a lot
of people standing around just watching it doing nothing. No
charge is filed. So this makes the national news cycle.
And then afterwards there is a school board meeting to
discuss it, and at that meeting, a handful of parents
from the victims community show up. Nobody from the bullies

(10:21):
community shows up. Really, and there was even supposedly one
school official who made the comment that they were responding to.
And I hope I'm explaining this correctly, because I'm hearing
this from you know, a different reporter that they said,
the reason that boy was getting beat up is because
he said something racist, almost as if to justify it.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
It's fine after that.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Yeah, now I don't quite understand how that was expressed.
This was explained to me by one of the journalists
at Current Revolt dot com, where you can take a
look at this if you want. It's a Texas based
news website that's known for posting edgier news stories. And
the journal is there a friend of ours, Tony Ortiz,
one of the only people. He's the only journalist to

(11:02):
show up this school board and he said the thing
the meeting, and he said, the thing that bothered him
so much was like, no one really seemed to care.
They're like, yeah, this happened, we didn't get longed. Please
put a statement out that was so mild and mute
and didn't didn't express any blame or anything like that,
just to say we're aware of the incident, essentially suggesting

(11:24):
we've decided not to get involved. And I guess anyway,
the whole reason I segue from the Jasmine Crockett story
to this is to point out, how, uh, what's that
word that they liked to throw around sometimes there's racism
in this area.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
Oh, that wasn't a word. I thought you were going
to say, Oh what word? Did you think? I was?

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Good?

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Never mind, it's Wednesday. Who doesn't get excited about Wednesdays?
Walton and Johnson Radio Network.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
In the nineteen eighty four film Top Secret, Val Kelmer's debut,
he shows off his comedic chops and musical talents in
the role of Nick Rivers and actually performs this song live.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
This is not his rendition. Okay, that's not him singing. No,
this is little Richard, but he did it one time
in the movie. Yeah, yeah, which is fun.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
In the nineteen eighties, people were obsessed with the fifties,
weren't they.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Oh yeah, why is that?

Speaker 2 (12:22):
What was it about the There was a lot of
nostalgia for the fifties.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
In the eighties just seemed like happier times when things
were getting a little rough and scary for folks. They
look back at happy days and you know, stuff like that. Well,
it was just after World War Two. Everybody was really happy.
The war was over, and whoever came home came home
and they all went out and just went to work
making America great. Not quite the first time or the

(12:47):
second time, but that was what Reagan said.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
He right, and again yeah yeah, not coincidentally, today we
have nostalgia for the eighties and nineties.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Boy, yeah, that's a little uh that weird, it is. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Anyway, Jasmine Crockett is apparently feuding with the members of
the House, a lot of the Conservatives, and it all
has to do with how Republicans want to impeach this
judge Boseburg. Bozburg is obviously riddled with scandal. He himself
has been nothing more than an activist sitting in a
judge's robe.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
On a from from what I've been told from people
that you know, read the whole story and stuff, because
we just look at headlines. Well I say, we me
headlines and uh, you know, the captions under a picture
pretty much tell the story, right. But these people say
that that judge wasn't quite as uh you know, radical
left as he used as he is now. But something

(13:41):
Trump did pissed him off. He just got real pissed
off at Trump, and so he's now dedicated to the
rest of his life, apparently to just getting Trump back.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
I think it really upset him when Donald Trump and
Elon Musk took funding away from his daughters NGO.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
If I'm not could be so.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Yes, they're having a congressional hearing and Jasmine Crockett is
calling out the Republicans that want to impeach this judge.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
You can't just impeach a judge you don't like his ruling. Yeah,
I know what they're gonna say. Yeah, So darryl Isa
is there.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
Congressman, one of the leaders of the Republican Party in
the House, calls her out for basically hypocrisy because she
and AOC about a year year and a half ago
tried to impeach Alito and Clarence Thomas from the Supreme
Court is right for a ruling that they didn't like.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Oh well, it's fine when it's them, but it's the
other side, don't do it.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
There's a moment in this video where Jasmine tries to
interrupt darryl Isa and he puts his hand up like
a talk to the hand moment.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Boy, that's not gonna Did she reach out and snap
his hand off and she was too far to reach it? U,
He's lucky. Anyway, here's a hand in the face of
a black lady or no, any lady, any lady. Yeah,
that's right. Here's actually one that has a tendency to
get the word I was looking for earlier. Thuggish. Oh

(15:05):
there's a I don't think so, and I'm sure you
don't think so. But there is a stereotype out there,
very racist thoughts that people have that black people are
somehow more thuggish and violent, and sometimes they even use
the word at ghetto when they describe their behavior. They'll

(15:27):
see a kid beating up another kid in school, like
you showed while ago, Jasmine Crockett threatening to physically harm
another member of the esteemed of what she in Congress? Yeahsentative.
Oh yeah, that's very important. Yeah, why she is just
adding to the racist, bigoted stereotypes of that violent thug

(15:51):
style of living.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Yeah, I don't like the racist stereotypes. You know, we're
all pink in the middle, billy. Yeah, a lot of
us pink on the outside too.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Ok, come on, that kind of disproves the point I'm
trying to make. But some of us are pink all
the way through, and some just you know, you have
the candy coated shell.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Huh like Anima. Yeah, that's sweet belly. Yeah, that's an
adorable comment to make. And some of us have nuts,
some of us don't. Yeah, you know, some of us
do have nuts. You and me, Caitlin Jenner, Yeah, any
Dylan mal Vennie. Anyway, here's the SoundBite. The thing you're
not seeing is when darrel Issa gives Jasmine the talk
to the hand moment.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
The problem that we have right now is that if
we continue down this road, then we will not have
a rule of law. Because we have people that are
currently serving and they're saying things like ignore the judge's order.
What it means to have law and order? In this
country is that you follow the order and you go
through the appeals process, even if you dislike what the
judge did. Thank you, and I yield you'll you have a.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
Question for me with ch'all yield to you now if
you want to know that there's no time left.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Eric Swallow, Thanks, Eric Entertain. Thanks. Iognize myself, and I'm
going to note that when Miss Lucassio Cortella AOC as
we know her, filed articles of impeachment on Justice Thomas
and Alito, Miss Crockett was one of the co sponsors

(17:17):
along with mister Cohen, both members.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Of this committee.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
It does seem interesting that when the shoe is on
the other foot, everyone is self righteous.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
And I think this is a good example.

Speaker 5 (17:28):
For the last three hours, three hours, I have had
to listen to one side talking about impeachment as though
it was the nature of this hearing.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
It is not okay, wow, Yeah, he put that hand out.
He just threw that hand out. She tried to interrupt him. Bam.
I'm surprised she didn't come up over there. You know,
don't make me come over there. You know, I think
I could fix her, Billy, And I know you think that. Yeah,
what do you mean, think quick? You've thought it before,
She's then you were wrong, but this time you might

(18:01):
be right.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
There are two reasons why everyone knows who Jasmine Crockett
is right now. Number One, she says crazy batsup crazy
stuff all the time, constantly, stupid foot in mouth moments.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Stupid stuff that just go flying out between her lips.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
But there's a lot of people in Washington, DC saying
stupid things all the time, many of which don't get
caught by the net of the national news media. The
other reason why Jasmine Crockett is constantly in the news
is because she is a pretty she.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Oh, I thought you were going to say a big
fan of the WNBA.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
Well, I'm sure she is. Who's not who among us
doesn't love the WNBA.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
That elevates you on the national stage right there? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (18:42):
I mean, look, I never miss a game here in
Texas where our flagship station's at. We're just humongous fans
of the local WNBA teams, you know, all of them. Yeah,
I'm sure we don't even have to name who they
are because we all know who I'm talking about.

Speaker 1 (18:56):

is it Wednesday? Did I stutter? Walton and Johnson Radio
