Speaker 1 (00:00):
He's all, we're still the king, right, he's all dressed
in white. Uh huh.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
But then when I watched nineteen twenty three and eighteen
eighty three, I don't.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
See anybody wearing white.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
I don't think white would have held up well outdoors.
You know those guys are you know studio musicians?

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Did you see what Gretchen Whitmer was wearing in the
Oval office when she tried to hide from the TV cameras.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Oh, I'm glad you mentioned her. I have the funniest
little story.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Harlan Williams said she was dressed like Captain Crunch and
that the fly on her pants was too big. He
thought she was transitioning. She looked like an olive garden
threw up. And then when you see the pictures of her,
he's like, man, he's he's right about that. The weird
clothes she had on, what an odd outfit for her
to put on.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Look at this, I thought for sure this was Babylon
B when I first heard about this. Democrat Michigan Governor
Gretchen Whitmer wants to bring back the manufacturing jobs that
disappeared during.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Her term as governor.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
It's there was some way to know what happened to
them and how they went away.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Michigan had six hundred twenty eight thousand, nine hundred manufacturing
jobs in January of twenty nineteen, the month she took office.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics collected the data. Notably, they
only had six hundred and one thousand jobs in the
manufacturing sector as a February of this year, of four

(01:24):
and a half percent decline during her term, and she's like,
let's bring those jobs back.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
You know, it's interesting a lot of the support she's
suddenly giving to Trump's policies here, I mean, you know,
because she is has a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
To do with the UAW.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
I hate to say this out loud, but there's actually
a union leader right now that's helping to push Americans
to the right. His name Sean Fain. He's the United
Automobile Worker's President.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
The dude that came up to the Republican convention and
gave a speech there's a union gay some kind.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
I don't remember which one it was. I do, I
remember what you're talking about, but I.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Wasn't unlessarily just a Trump fan. He was just saying that,
you know, Democrats think done us no favors neither.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
During the presidential election cycle we just had, for the
first time ever, they did not endorse the Democrat candidate, right, Instead,
they chose not to endorse any money. And this week
on MSNBC, people were just a guest at the fact
that the UAW and Gretchen Whitmer seemed to be very
supportive of Trump's tariff policy.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
So let's talk about the realities of what you know.
And this is the thing that you know, I've been
reading a lot of this lately. Going back in nineteen
ninety two, I voted for Ross Pro. You know why
I voted for Ross PuO for one reason because he
was the only candidate that talked about how devastating NAFTA
would be to American jobs and to our manufacturing base.
And he talked about that giant sucking sound. You know,

(02:47):
I've read this book here in the last week. You know,
save your job, save our country, right, NAFTA must first
stop na You know what's interesting since then, Ross Pro
has become a prophet. Since NAFTA was inception in nineteen
ninety three, we've lost ninety thousand manufacturing facilities in this country,
millions of jobs and These weren't, you know, low end jobs.

(03:07):
These were jobs that paid decent wages, had good benefits, retirement.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Surely I agree with you, communities, but he.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Was thirty years ago.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
This is Samone Sanders, who was briefly kamal as chief
of staff until she quit.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Remember that.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
But the UAW guy brings up an interesting point. There
have been two chapters during my adult life and youth
where right wing populism almost happened. One of them was
Ross Perot, right. The other one was Ron Paul. This
current era of Donald Trump Republicanism seems to be the
policies of both of those guys combined together. You've got

(03:45):
the libertarian Republican ideology of the Elon Musk, the old school,
you know, do something for the union workers ideology of
a Ross Perot. That's the Trump two point zero platform,
and it seems to be very popular right now, whether
or not the liberal media wants it to be. You
can't deny that. I know that stock market's been volatile lately,
but these are the.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Same people volatile, Yeah, definitely volatile. It's down the futures
of down this morning. Even though in Vidia announ some
big thing you should have done it the other way.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
But no, look at it, okay, but the upper class,
in the upper middle class might be concerned about that.
Try explaining that to someone that doesn't have a four
to one k, right, Try explaining that to someone that
doesn't have an IRA or a Roth.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
Three hundred dollars in a checking account and they're hoping
to get paid before the credit card bills start charging
late fees.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Those people don't care if the market's down today. They
care how much it costs to get a box of cereal.
And Donald Trump's policies do seem to be having some
effect on that because now inflation's down.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Well now with Gretch and Whittner running around in that suit,
you know, the Captain Crunch is going to raise their
prices for sure. They got all that free publicity. Now, No,
that was the governor of Michigan. Yeah, but she was
promoting Captain Crunch, right, No, I told you all earlier.
We go and good news for the Grimes County folks
and other counties as well. But that's the one I
tend to be more concerned about. I know people over

(05:07):
there because yesterday, yeah, kind of a big announcement. Nobody
seems to be talking about. President Trump's administration terminated a
federal grant to fund the high speed rail between Houston
and Dallas. Now this they've been going back and forth
on this for a while. Did you know that this
was a privately owned project with sixty four million dollars

(05:33):
from the United States government to help plan the thing.
Isn't that crazy, but the private group was working for
a foreign government apparently.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
I don't know which one, but it's not a good deal.
I saw that as well.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
The Texas high speed rail plan issued a blow from
the Trump administration, which is great, But there was another
one of these in California. We just learned about the
new plan to excelate the California High Speed Rail construction
and is also really really expensive. They're spending so much
money doing studies on it. It almost makes you wonder
if they even want to build it. Spending an absurd

(06:10):
amount of money studying the possibility of something disgusts me
just as much as building infrastructure that won't get used
and doesn't have any benefits.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Right, I don't know what's worse.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Right, building the high speed rail would be a waste
of money, and it would involve a lot of civil
asset forfeiture and eminent domain, but similarly spending money studying
the possibility of the high speed rail. That's almost like
the war in Afghanistan. It just keeps going on and
on and on forever. It'll never end. No, mister, I
feel like it's your time to shine, well.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Like shun your shoes or what am I sign today's
sports report.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
Prop by our comedy show this weekend is that, as
a matter of fact, we're thinking, maybe you want to
do a little preview later in the show, give us
a little the taste of what we're going to see
Friday night.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Yeah, I'm gonna take my clothes off on stage and Dan, no,
that's not.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Gonna happen to be hilarious.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
Friday night we'll be in New Orleans. Saturday night will
be in Hattiesburg. The comedy shows. Both comedy shows will
feature Jesse Peyton and Chad Prather if you're familiar with
him the show. The tour is called the Right Side
of Comedy Gulf of America Tour. It's a short tour. Basically,
it just involves Holy weekend. The whole point of this
was to get me a Catholic away from church this weekend.

(07:19):
It's a Friday Saturday. Yeah, so Friday night we're at
Southport Hall. Don'ty'll do church on Saturday normally Saturday? Well,
sometimes I do.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Yeah, Catholic can do weird things. You know. Church is
supposed to be on Sunday, that's the Lord's Day.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Well, but y'all like get there early and leave, So
I don't know what you'll do on Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
We do church on Sunday, but we offer it on
other days as well, because Catholics really like church.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Mister oh, is that okay?

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Anyway? Friday night will be at Southport Hall. Saturday night
will be at Bruce Ki's in Hattiesburg.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Tickets are going quick.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
If you get your tickets in advance, you guarantee a
seat and it costs less than if you show up
the day of the show, when there might not even
be tickets availab But.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Don't you want it to cause more because you're raising
money or something?

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Right? I don't.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
But you can get tickets at Jesse's Funny dot com,
Watchchad dot com, or you can go to my social
my ex account Kenny Webster on AX and you'll find
a link there at the top of the page.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
All the money that you made personally from from this
these two shows.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
I guess you're donating to charity. Yes, yes, yes, I will. Yeah, absolutely,
that's true. All right, now, sports, y'all ready for this?
All right?

Speaker 3 (08:20):
First of all, I already told y'all that dude that
attract me to stab the other dude he out on
bond and I know that's that's a terrible sports story,
but it did happen.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
It's sports arena.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
And I'll call to us in the Dallas Fort Worth
area where we have an affiliate.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
So I also has some sad news for you, hasslebick fans.
Don Hasselbeck, the father of Tim and Matt, both NFL quarterbacks.
Daddy also played in the NFL. Matter of fact, got
a Super Bowl ring with the Raiders back in the eighties.
Now he have passed. He was seven d and had

(08:54):
him a big oldheart attack. He was like six foot seven,
big strong dude. I think you played tight end, you know,
because they like to take the hits and so h yeah,
he done that. He gone, oh w n B. A
draft was yesterday, and I know I don't have to
tell y'all what happened because.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Oh man, we were all over I know you probably
studied it, you know, glued to my TV.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
The probably on THEO.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Everything's on the I think that's what ESPN plus is, right.
The probably oh and Ohio State football team visited the
White House with the Trump and j D, and they
brought their trophy.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
JD fumble that not I couldn't look for JD.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Man.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Well, you're reading the head and the story. I like
to call him Vice President of Vance out of respect
because I don't know the cat, but you won't call
him j D. Yeah, JD fumbled the trophy. Now I
had no idea, and I'm sure the vice president had
no idea. If this piece of craft trophy came in
two pieces, one the tall part like inserts into the

(10:00):
little plastic bottom pole. Sure, yeah, I would have expected
a little higher quality into the double A you know,
football A championship trophies.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
I was surprised by that too.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
But remember he's from Ohio, so he actually had a
great line afterwards when people you know, pointed out that
he dropped the trophy, he said, I didn't want anyone
after Ohio State to get the trophy, so I decided
to break it, and that's pretty put it right back together.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
It was supposed to come apart, but he didn't know,
so I saw the video. When they handed it to him,
the guy that handed it to him kept a hold
of the bottom piece, yeah, and gave him the top piece,
and when he started to take it from him, it
just came apart.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
That's all. Anyway, stuff happens. It's fine, but.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
Yeah, no harm, no foul. I think they say, everybody,
get over it, move along. We got bigger problems. Well,
they did technically break the trophy shut. And then there's
like baseball and you know, like other games and stuff
that your teams probably you know, did okay.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Well, let's do baseball real quick, if you don't mind that,
and keep both WoT.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
Aaron Judge has been named I don't know why we're
playing the sad version of take me out to the
ball game.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
This isn't sad news.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Aaron Judge named Team USA captain for the twenty twenty
six World Baseball Championship. He is saluting the brave men
and women who have fought for this country.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
I know it is this like for the Olympics, the WBC.
It's called. It's a thing they do every couple of years.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
We forget about it sometimes, but yeah, there's a it's.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
I could have forgotten it. I never heard of it.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
It's a thing that happens. Yeah, it's us. One I'm
dying is that they do anyway. Good for Aaron Judge,
That's cool. Isn't it weird that I feel like he's
been around for a long time at this point, hasn't?

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Is it just me? Or does it? How long has
he been playing baseball for? Tired of hearing about him? Yeah? Same? Yeah, yeah,
supers person Walton and Johnson Radio Network. Let me off.

(12:05):
You blocked me from my sports story. I'm sorry. You
don't do sports stories. That's how we finished sports already.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Unless you want to go back and talk about the
racism in the w NBA.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Or the racism man LSU football, you know. Oh lord,
don't get me started on that.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
I got a sports story that involves Taylor Swift.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
Seeing that's exactly what the problem is.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
We'll tell you this, and it's very upsetting, except maybe
the people in Dallas are very excited because this is
a franchise changing opportunity. The number one pick in the
W NBA Draft for at least the second time in
a year, because I don't know who got drafted before
Kaylyn Clark, and nobody knows.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Nobody knows.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
Once again, the number one draft go to a blonde
headed white girl.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Oh hell no. Her name is Paige Buker's, which is
about it. She's white and blonde. That's about as white
as it gets.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Page is a white girl name. She's been drafted by
the Wings. And I didn't know that Dallas Wings. I
didn't know is a team.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
But I do think it's cool how they named a
w NBA team after a feature on a Maxi Pad exact. Wait,
you know that'll be great for endorsements and stuff. Go Wings.
She played at Yukon.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
They just won the national championship University of Connecticut. They
have really good lady basketball there.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
Well, you know what, I'm now a fan of the
Dallas Wings. I'm not going to buy a jersey. I'm
not going to go to a game. I mean, come on,
I'm not going to keep up with the stats. But
if anybody asks Kenny, which w NBA team is your favorite?

Speaker 1 (13:33):
I like Paige Buker's team.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
And are we going to finally just stop talking about
Caitlin Clore because everybody hates her, right hater. I mean,
you know, if she's the story they'd like you to have,
and if she's.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
Still the best player, I don't think we have a choice.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
My story is about baby rumors. That's not sports. Travis
and Ad Jason Kelsey, Travis Scott, Jason pregnant, Yes, that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Their mom Donna, not your mother. My mom's name is Donna. Yeah, different, Donna. Yeah. Donna.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Kelsey was talking about the fact that Jason and his
wife just had a baby, and you know what a
great father he is, and she said, and Travis is
going to be.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
A great dad too, just like his brother.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
I know it's kind of thin, but that's enough for
people to start saying, Oh, Taylor's pregnant.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
That's it. She's having a baby. But she's definitely putting
weight on you. Oh yeah, because she's not working right now.
She used to be skinnier. I noticed that because.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
During the tour it's you know, burns a lot of
calories doing what she does out on stage, and she
and her husband are now taking a little sabbatical.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Neither one of them or you know, they don't have
a job right now.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Probably also from all the tacos, you know, Yeah, that
probably making her big too. Meanwhile, former LSU wide receiver
Kyriene Lacy was who just died. Yeah, they found him
dead in an apparent's suicide from a self afflicted gunshot wound.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
We talked about himia. He had a brief chase with
police in Houston on Sunday. It was weird.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
They said he shot himself from what they can tell,
while driving the car and then it crashed because obviously,
you know, he wasn't driving it anymore. But you don't
see that every day people shoot themselves while operating a
motor vehicle.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Well, yesterday at grand jury was set to begin hearing
evidence in Lacey's negligent homicide case, stemming from a December
seventeenth vehicular accident that left his seventy eight year old
man dead. After their client's death, Lacey's attorneys issued a
statement condemning investigators and vowing to launch their own investigation
and what they are calling a gross miscarriage of justice.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
Because they were investigating him. They're baby.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
The lawyers are basically saying that there was a witch
hunt against him due to his NFL prospect the NFL
Prospects stardom.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Mum, do you believe that? No? No, not a bit.
Why would investigators get point?

Speaker 2 (15:57):
There's one thing we don't want him to do is
play for the Cowboys season.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Like what someone died? Excuse me?

Speaker 4 (16:03):
No.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
And if it were true that he wouldn't have killed himself,
he would have he would have fault. See, he he
knows he did wrong. That's why he didn't fight it.
He just went away with it. Listen to the lawyer's statement,
they said. Quote from the very beginning, the so called
investigation took on appearances of an overdella zealous, targeted effort
what can only be described as a witch hunt, fueled

(16:26):
by who Kyen was and the public profile he carried. No,
how about No, the guy was out free this whole time.
You're telling me he hasn't been in jail this whole time.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
No, no, no, he killed a person and they let
him out on bond.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
I actually think maybe you guys are just wrong about that.
He was guilty. He was.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
Eat up with the guilt of knowing he did something wrong.
It does sound right, and the fear of knowing he
might go to prison for it, and.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
The NFL probably won't going to be his future like
he thought.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
So maybe at the end of the day, trying to
make it look like the victim makes you guys look
like a bunch of hacks.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
We still want to make sure that every listener knows
what a selfish act suicide is. You're just not thinking
about the people that you're hurting, that you leave behind.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
And innocent heil proven guilty, YadA, YadA YadA. In everyday life,
there is more than meets the eye. To reach the
depths of truth, we must drag the waters. Walton and
