Speaker 1 (00:01):
The Pope was laid to rest over the weekend, and
he still looked more lively than Joe Biden, who was
sitting in the tenth row.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Poor Joe, he had to take a back seat to
all the well officially still current political leaders.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Yeah, poor Joe. Of course, he didn't know where he was,
no idea. He doesn't even remember being president, so it
doesn't matter.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
I think he just inject him with something for a
long plane ride like that and he just wakes up.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Well, we don't worry about it. Yeah, it makes no difference.
It's totally inconsequential. You're just here for a photo. It
doesn't make a difference. I'm sure the.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Pope would have missed him if he hadn't shown up though.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Sure. Yeah, Well Joe a lifelong Catholic and abortion advocate,
not to mention pro war enthusiasts, just like all good Catholics. Yeah,
a lot of those.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
People there in the first few rows probably pretty pro
abortion if you separated it.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Well, uh yeah, the Western leaders of representative republics like
France and that sort of thing. There's a lot of
fake news about what happened at the funeral. Well, not
a lot, but more than you'd think. Like there's a
story going around about Trump's blue suit. The New York
Times was trying to suggest that that was inappropriate for
decorum or whatever they call it, and that he violated

(01:21):
the rules, And it's just it's just not true. There wasn't.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
They just found something to think they can talk about
him and make it look negative. But did anybody else
wear a blue suit?

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Yeah, Prince William, a lot of people. It wasn't. If
you actually watched the funeral on TV, you wouldn't have
even thought twice about Trump's suit because he looked like
a lot of people in attendance.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
And were there any reports of Prince William's horrible blue suit?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
No, there's a story about Emmanuel Macron's trans wife wearing.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
She was very inappropriate, as all we know, Vaton or something.
Who cares, Yeah it was yeah? Who so what he
still did? Yeah, it doesn't make difference. What do you
think he's offended? Do you think the Pope's gonna set
up and be like change your clothes?

Speaker 1 (02:05):
All right? So all that being said, and now that
really makes it different. Look rest in peace, Pope. Should
be interesting to see who they choose to replace him.
In the coming days. I'm told that, okay, for the cardinals,
you can't vote on the new pope if you're over eighty,
which means from.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
The pool of cardinals that can vote right now, two
of the most conservative cardinals on earth are actually sick.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
They won't be in attendance for this thing. That would
have been part of the that would have been eligible
to vote, which begs the question, will this be another
radical progressive pope or will we get a more conservative one?
Probably unlikely, it'll be more conservative.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
And how's that going to affect me in my life
and my every day to day move.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
It won't affect anybody but Catholics, who will once in
a while be told at their Catholic Mass, it's okay
to be gay.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Abortions, okay, you know that kind of thing.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
I think. I think what they'll say is that it's
not okay to be gay, and it's not okay to
get an abortion, but you shouldn't have to go to
prison for it. That's kind of the Catholic Church's stance
on that whole thing.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Whatever happened to the ol Uh I'm gay because God
made me this way? Uh? You know that that whole fight,
does that die on the on the Pope's ears. The
Pope's official position on homosexuality is that he wants homosexuals
to go to church.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
He just doesn't want to do gay marriages.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
It's like, okay to be gay, but just don't have
the sex. That's the that's that used to be the doctrine.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
And actually making this even more complicated, he won't even
say that. He has priests and cardinals and bishops say
it for him after private meetings with it from I
don't know that he's ever actually set any of that,
but he In some of these African countries, they'll arrest you,
like I think you Ganda, I don't know, I've never
been there, but they'll arrest you for being gay. You

(03:57):
gotta no, I'm not gonna go.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
You gonna not gonna.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
You're not gonna either, apparently, you know, they'll arrest you
for being a mo and.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
I'm against that. For the record, let them leave the
mows alone. Let them mow in piece. You know, it's
not brilliant unless I moan in the middle of the
street or you know, a subway car during you know,
prime traffic.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
In front of kids. That kind of thing.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Unless they're, you know, making a video, and then it's okay.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Well, this is one of those things where we're.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
If you're making a video, then it's it's okay, it's
not prostitution. Oh right, yeah for sure, and uh, it's
okay in Washington, d C. You can just show up
there the Senate chambers. Yeah, during maybe a long weekend
and make a video. Were just mowing on the conference
room table.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
That's all of all the dumb things to happen during
the light of years.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Mowing this weekend. And now I'm starting to think we
ought not call it mowing.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
No, no, no, it's a different it's a different kind
of mo I think.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Will not see you Monday, Walton Radio Network.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
This morning. The liberal media desperately wants you to feel
sorry for the son of a rich, famous celebrity who
gets to play in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Yes, let's all feel sorry for.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Them, mister sand Prime. Coach Prime's kid, Shadure is going
to the NFL.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Name. Yeah, but you're supposed to get used to it
and not say it's anything weird at all, nothing unusual
about that.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
The son of the defensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons
prank phone called him and that's that was Weirdly that
was like the biggest news story of the weekend. We've
got war and the pope's funeral happening, and a trade
trade war and real war.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
You would think that the kid drove over him with
his car or something the way they're talking about how
hurtful this was. He he made a break phone call
and Shadur got sad.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Oh no, he was the one hundred and forty fifth pick,
and he will play for the Browns, not the Falcons,
but the you know, phone call was made.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Where quarterbacks go to die lately, the Cleveland Browns.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
But he'll get a really good massage.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Oh sure, sure, yeah yeah, and a huge contract. That
gave DeShawn a giant contract. He never even had to
take a snap.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
He got all the.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Money he wanted and he didn't have to even do anything.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
So the cameras are rolling when Coach Prime's kid got
the phone call, and this is what it sounded like.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Here jam of the.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Thanks, how you doing, ma, I'm good. I've been waiting
on you.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
It's been along waiting man, for sure. Take her next
ye right here? Many all right, but you're gonna have
to wait a little bit longer.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Okay, great, go what does that mean? Are you he
was on the phone. You heard that. He said, you're
gonna have to wait a little bit long.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Sorry about that.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
I don't know what that was. Nobody got this number though. Man,
he just got trolled. Ain't trigger now, man, there.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
You go like his buddy, Man, you tripping.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
I love that his buddy says, you just got trolled. Well,
he's right.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
You know, sometimes takes somebody that's not in the situation
to explain what's going on to you. Just you know,
that was not a I don't think that was the
Falcons calling you there, sitd doer. It was a Saint.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Yeah, but he thought it was right.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yeah, he thought it was the Saints Mickey Loomis, But
it was actually a Falcon's coaches kid.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Yeah, exactly, Yeah, it wasn't the Saints.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Get yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Anyway, So he's fine though he did. Eventually he's going
to go to Cleveland. Who doesn't love Cleveland?

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Oh? I know, very excited. He has the unique opportunity
here to turn that franchise around. Sure, I'm single handedly
by the way. In Cleveland, he'll be joined by such
high profile celebrities as Hearaldo and who else lives there?
Isn't that weird that Haraldo lives in Cleveland? And then
I guess, of course the rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

(07:56):
Who doesn't love that? How about Drew Carey? Oh yeah, no,
he's hosting a game show.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Now, probably not in Cleveland anymore anyway, so that's a thing.
And then George Santos, remember him, has been sentenced to
over seven years for fraud and identity theft. And I
know a lot of people are going to find this
hard to believe, but he will not be the next pope.
Huh yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
I'm just looking here at the list of cardinals who
are eligible to vote. There are one hundred and thirty
seven under eighty years of age and have the right
to vote for the new pope. You got two hundred
and fifty two total. But that means a lot of
them are really old, right exactly? You don't exactly. It's

(08:39):
not like you age out. I mean you can retire
obviously if you get old enough. But have you seen
or heard any of the talk about the I forget
where there's Prime or Hulu or somewhere conclave? Right, that's
a movie about electing the new Pope.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Yeah, it came out a few years ago, a couple
of years ago.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Now it's suddenly, you know, a lot of interest because
they're actually going through or will go through that now.
You know, a lot of people have asked me if
I've seen it, and oddly I have not, a lot
of people assumed I had.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Isn't it about the last pope, the one who they.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Don't say specifically it's the pope, they just they're vague
about it. Yeah, because it wasn't the last pope a Nazi,
If I'm not mistaken, I know they don't like talking
about that.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
But yeah, and then the new and then the current
one is a comedy. Well rest in peace?

Speaker 2 (09:27):
He was.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
Yeah, wouldn't be great if we could just get like
a normal, regular pope that isn't involved in some kind
of extremist political ideology. You know, you go far enough
to the right or the left, you end up in
the same place. Right, what about just a nice, moderate
centrist pope. What's this pope's main position? Well, finding homes
for dogs or it's politics.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
You know, you've got guys in there who will, like,
I don't want to be the pope. It's too much pressure.
I'm not uh, you know, they're not godly enough. God
hasn't spoken to me. God hasn't chosen me to step forward.
But that's just a sneaky way of trying to say,
you know, I probably deserve it because I don't want it. Yeah,
guy to have for pope, right there, a guy who's

(10:09):
not ambitious about it.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
And by the way, kind of like speaker of the House.
There's no rule that says you have to be part
of the organism. You don't have to be clergy. A
lot of people think to be pope you'd have to
be a cardinal or a priest or a bishop. Turns out, no,
but that's not a rule.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
They're always always going to be For.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
The last six hundred years. Yeah, six hundred years ago,
there was a pope that was not and then interestingly enough,
there's some people that were pope, but it's not acknowledged
by the Roman Catholic Church. Looking back on it, they said, no, no,
that that's not one of our guys. He did that
in an unfair manner. Once upon a time, the pope
had an army, and you know, I guess they still
technically do because there's a Swiss Guard. But once upon

(10:47):
a time there was the Roman Catholic monarchy and they'd
go out and explore things and go to war, and
it was it was almost like an empire in and
of itself. And then it just became a church. And
people have a hard time differentiating. There is a difference
between the religion and the organization, and that's hard for
some people to acknowledge. Every you know, a couple decades

(11:10):
or so, we get a new pope and then there
are there's a minority of Catholics who don't like the
new pope, so they remain Catholics, but they're no longer
part of the Roman Catholic Church. Mel Gibson is a
great example of this. Mel Gibson is a Catholic that
doesn't like the pope, so he's not part of the
Roman Catholic Church. He's part of some alternative Catholicism.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Like yeah, yeah, well they'll figure it out.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Yeah, probably not.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
Going to be consulted on it. So what I think
doesn't really matter. But there is other bigger problems right now.
War happening in Eastern Europe.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
They say over a thousand North Koreans have now been
killed in a war that is not it's not a
proxy war with the United States, even though it is.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
But don't talk about it like that. But which side
of these North Koreans on.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
The Russian side? And they say that North Korea is
now acknowledging that they're there, they're now for the first
time admitting it, and they have said that they're trying
to help liberate Russia from Ukraine.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Huh have they been killed at a faster rate than
the regular Russian army?

Speaker 1 (12:11):
I don't know the answer to that, but it would
be interesting to find out.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Sounds like it's a new story because so many of
them have been killed since they got there.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
A thousand is a lot of it's a lot. It's
a lot of North Koreans. How many are there? That's
a good question. And then also it makes you wonder
if a thousand North Koreans were killed fighting in the
Russian Ukraine War, you know that there's our guys are more.
The CIA at least is on the ground there. Why
aren't we hearing more about how this is affecting our

(12:38):
guys Because you don't get to find that out, but
you know it is.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
It's a secret sh we don't talk about that, right.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Isn't it interesting though to think when a member of
the US military dies in an exercise over you find
out about that. Yeah, But if it's a member of
the NSA or the CIA or some intelligence agency somebody working,
you never get to hear about it. I think that matters.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Have you ever watched a movie about the CIA? You know,
they're they're kind of you know, secretive.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Yeah, but they do get to wear cool suits and
they usually get chicks. Well that is that what the
CIA is like in real life?

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Pretty much it's Monday madness.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
