Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time to Catch a Cheater. Only on the Jubil Show.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Eric is on the phone today for to Catch a
Cheater and he thinks that his girlfriend of three years
might be messing around. So a few minutes, we'll call
her and see if we can figure it out for him.
But first, Eric, why do you think your girlfriend Aaron
might be cheating?

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Well, we've been together for a few years now, and
up until like six months ago, it has honestly been great.
We've been very close. We were talking about getting a
dog kind of that was kind of my first clue.
When she started cooling off on the dog idea.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
I was like, why what? It seemed like.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
We were progressing, you know, So that made me start
just kind of paying attention and realizing, Oh. The next
thing I noticed was she's someone she loves talking about
how she has cute outfits and casual outfits, and you know,
cute outfits are for going out, casual outfits or for

(01:02):
being at home relaxing, and she works from home sometimes
and so but then she would wear cute outfits while
she was working from home.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Maybe that sounds weird.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
I for me, that was a that was like a change, right,
that was like, something is different here, and okay, we
have this, uh one of our one of our friends
who I've known longer than her, she started kind of
acting weird around me.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
It made me think.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
That like like she knows something. You can just kind
of get a vibe with people, you know, Like she
didn't want to be around me because she she felt
like she knew something is is the impression that I
got from it.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
And if one if it was just one of these.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Things, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm just emotional at all.
I just if it was just one of these things,
it wouldn't be a big deal. But because it's all
of these things, it makes me worried. Yeah, And if
you know your partner, you can tell when something's wrong.

(02:07):
Right after weeks of like what is going on? Right,
Like if someone wants to talk to you, they'll try
to talk to you. And I feel like I've lost
that with her.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Have you tried to communicate with her at this point
that you're feeling this way or maybe even said something
like what's up with the cute clothes on a workday
from home or anything just to kind of engage.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Yeah, I would say for like the first month I
tried to like kind of hint at it and joke
about it, like it'd be like, oh, let me open
up the conversation with like, oh, you're looking extra nice today.
Oh you got like a big zoom meeting or something
like that, and she was just kind of laughing it off.
So then I tried to get a little more direct

(02:51):
where I was like, Hey, it feels like, you know,
we're watching TV. You don't want to talk as much anymore.
We love to make dinner together and we've been doing that,
but when I try to get like deeper than just
tell me about your day, it feels like I just

(03:11):
I feel like I can't get in, you know, I don't.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
I don't even know how else to say that.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Sorry, Well, you already told us a grocery store. She's
a rewards card my Bret. So we'll play a song
come Back, and then call her and pretend to be
from the grocery store and say that every single month,
we choose one lucky reward member who gets free flowers
delivered from our floral department, and we'll see if she
sends those to you or to somebody else.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Okay, instead off, if you say flowers she might send
it to her mom or something. I could you say
like whiskey or something like that. She I'm a big
whiskey guy. She would definitely think of me if you
said whiskey specifically.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Okay, yeah, we.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Can figure something like that.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
But we'll play a song.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Okay, thank you, and then right after this we'll get
your to touch cheter. Okay, you've got it all right,
we'll get your to touch cheater next. If you're just
joining us for today is to catch a cheater. Eric
is on the phone and he thinks that his girlfriend
of three years named Aaron might be messing around. So
we're about to call her and pretend to be from
the grocery store where she's a rewards member and say

(04:14):
that every single month we choose one lucky reward member
who gets a free gift from us, and this month
it's flowers and a bottle of whiskey to special somebody
in her life, which hopefully she'll send to her boyfriend Eric.
But she sends it to someone else, then we'll know
that she might be messing around. But before we do that, Eric,
why don't you break down your situation for us again
real quick.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Yeah, we've been together for three years, and I feel
like they're like, we're not communicating like we were. She
started like dressing up nice at times that I was
surprising one of her, one of our both of our
close friends, Ellie. She's been weird around me lately, like

(04:56):
she knows something that I don't and doesn't want to
have to lie to me or something.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
So yeah, all right, are you ready for us to
call her?

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Yeah, okay, here we go.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Hellover, Hey, this is Corbett calling for I was looking
for our Rewards Card member named Aaron.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Yeah, that's me, Hi, Aaron.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
How are you please?

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Don't hang up. This is not a marketing phone call.
I'm actually calling with a big congratulations. Here this month's winner.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
Oh okay, cool, I don't know that you guys were
giving away stuff.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Oh yeah, maybe, well, maybe you don't know. Every single month,
we choose one of our Rewards Card members at random
to call and give a free gift to, and this
month it's flowers delivered from our floral department, as well
as the flavor of the month. If it's for somebody
over twenty one, it's also a bottle of Bullet bourbon
that we will be delivering as well, it's a special
someone in your life.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Absolutely free.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
It's actually eight three hundred and sixteen dollars values thirty
six longsi red roses, box, can your chocolate, the bottle
of bourbon, and a card.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
Okay, I never win anything.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Well, now you can't say that anymore.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
True.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
The first thing that I would need would be the
first and last name of the person you'd like to
send them to, and then if you want to put
anything on a card, and then with the address, and
that's it.

Speaker 5 (06:17):
Okay, so I see I'm gonna go with Is it
like all of the above or just the.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Flowers or it's all of the above?

Speaker 5 (06:24):
Okay, perfect? All right? So the person I want to
send him to Ellie?

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Okay, got that, Ellie, Ellie? And then do you want
to add a note along with it?

Speaker 5 (06:36):
Yeah? Okay, I know you are being very patient. I'll
tell him soon. We'll make it up for you tonight.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Got that.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Great.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
And at this point, Aaron, I'm gonna let you know
that this is actually a radio show.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
It's called the Jewbell Show. Yeah, hi, Erin, I'm Nina
him Victoria.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
And my name is Jewble. And we do a segment
on our show that's called to Catch a Cheetah, where
if you think your significant other might be messing around
you see you. They send flowers too, and your boyfriend
of three years Eric is on the phone.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Yeah, I'm I'm here, Aaron. What you're sending flowers to Ellie?

Speaker 5 (07:13):
I guess I can still say that I never want anything.
I can't believe you're on the phone. I did not
think that it would happen like this.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Yeah, what are you supposed to tell me?

Speaker 5 (07:22):
I don't I don't want to tell you anything. I mean,
I just I didn't think it would happen like this,
Like this is not what you think it is? You
you didn't.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Think what would happen like this? How was this not
what I'm what I think it is? If wellsting to
tell me? I could tell you about this off the phone,
like I've tried to talk with you about this, We've
I've tried.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
This was the I don't think you have tried.

Speaker 5 (07:46):
You never listened to me. You don't know what I'm
going through. You have no idea. And Ellie's like a
really good friend who's been like a shoulder for me
the last couple of months. You know, like I'm going
through a lot at work and just life has just
kind of been crazy, and I can't believe you would
do this to me and catch me completely off guard.
Can't even talk to me. I don't know what's going on.
Like I thought I was winning something and then all
of a sudden, you're on the phone. It's like a

(08:07):
fat break.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
You said you had to work late tonight. I do
How are you going to make it something up to Ellie?
If you're working late? We've been together for years now.
Why can't you just tell me what's going on. I
am trying to, but you're not even listening. You never
listen to me.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
I do have to work late, And then I was
going to stop by Ellie's just for a bit, Like
I just don't understand, like we are friends and I.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
And why lie about it? Why lie about it? Then?

Speaker 5 (08:37):
Why lie about what? She's my friend?

Speaker 3 (08:39):
You were working late, I know, but then why why
wouldn't you come home after that just stopped?

Speaker 5 (08:47):
So Ellie and I have gotten a lot closer lately,
and I didn't know how to tell you because it
kind of just happened. I didn't plan it, and I
kind of didn't know what was happening. But I have
feelings for her, and I was going to tell you soon,
but that's kind.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Of what the card meant.

Speaker 5 (09:06):
Yeah, I know, how I know, And Eric, I didn't.
I didn't want it to come out like this. I
didn't want you to find out on a radio show
where I thought I won something.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
Absolutely, you, guys, this is insane.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
I just it started as friends, and then we started
seeing each other, and then we like feelings developed, and
then I didn't know what the difference between being best
friends and being like intimate was.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Kind of I thought we were best friends.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
I mean, I care about you, I love you. It's
just not the same and I can't explain it. And
that's why I was taking my time to try to
explain it because it's very hard.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
So, Aaron, does Ellie have feelings for you too?

Speaker 5 (09:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (09:49):
I think so.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
I wouldn't. I don't think it would have gotten this
and intense. But Eric, like, I'm sorry, I care about you,
but like, this is a lot to digest and process
and tell someone.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Have you guys been intimate?

Speaker 5 (10:03):
Yes? Eric, Yeah, I just I'm sorry, I'm really really sorry.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
I cannot way, I cannot believe you.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Lied to me.

Speaker 5 (10:17):
I mean, I'm just sorry, but it's kind of a
gray area. Technically, yes, I cheated, but kind of one
thing led to another. And have you ever been in
the situation before? Have you ever fell in love with
your best friend? It's a little confusing.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Have you have you ever been in my situation? How
are you falling in love with somebody? When you were
we were gonna get a dog, we were, we lived together,
not even your saying this is a great area?

Speaker 1 (10:44):
What is great about my friend?

Speaker 5 (10:46):
Eric? Like, I don't know how to explain this to you,
but just one day we were like hanging out and
watching movies, and then one day where we were kissing.
And it's kind of confusing. And I didn't know when
keating began and friendship ended in all of the above,
and I had to kind of figure that out. And
I can have both of you in my ear, and
I'm sorry, but I do have feelings for her, And
this is exactly what I knew. What would happen is

(11:08):
you'd be like, oh, were you need to talk? I
have a life too.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Of course, this is what would happened.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
What do you mean what would happen? Yeah, you're going
to convince me to stay with you like you always do,
and sometimes I want to live my life and all
least supportive of that.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Convince you. Why would you even think I would want
to be with you after this. It's not just that
you had.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Feelings, right, you acted on them. Oh my god, with
a friend. Imagine if I did this to a friend
of ours. Imagine if I just started dating somebody that
we knew behind your back.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
You're saying, are you hitting? You never get anything you
don't understand. We didn't just start dating. We have been
really good friends and then all of a sudden ceilings
developed and it kind of also wasn't all of a sudden.
It wasn't a switch. There's not a switch that's like
on and off. It just happened.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
You know what this you air? I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
I can't say that.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Thank you guys for for doing this and having me.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
I'm so sorry.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
I'm I just I have to go.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
This is I'm gonna call my mom.
