Speaker 1 (00:00):
First Date is follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury
Attorneys online at advocatesla dot com.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Sabrina is on the phone today for a first date
follow up, and she's getting ghosted by a guy named
Darren so in a few minutes. So we're gonna call
him and see if you'll tell us why he's ghostinger
and maybe get her another date. But first, Sabrina, how
long has it been since you heard from Darren?

Speaker 1 (00:22):
It's been about a week. Yeah, seventy is actually of
digital silence.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Have you reached out to him?

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Ah?

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Yeah, actually yesterday I did. I asked him if he
wanted to get wine drunk and make bad decisions. But nothing.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
That's a great text. I love that, But okay, it'd
be awesome text to get. Were there any other messages
he had sent before that one?

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Yeah? Last week I texted him, like immediately after a date.
I said hey, I had a great time and asked
if he wanted to do something again.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
But still nothing.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Oh why don't you tell us about the date?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
So it went super cute. We went to post the
place like that. I actually made homemade pasta and my god,
the RIGATONI was to die for Yeah, he packed the
spot out so points for great taste. He wore this
button up that looks like he had ironed it, which
is pretty rare these days. Like we talked for hours

(01:17):
on top of that, Like he and I just went
on and up until closing time. Like the server literally
started vacuuming around us. Yeah, you know, I said like,
let's maybe get up and go, and he kind of
didn't initiate it. But once we did walk to the
parking garage together, I mean, we had this moment. I

(01:40):
almost though he was going to kiss me, but he
just hugged me instead and like held me really tight
for a moment and then said dry space. It was
really intentional.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Okay, did he say anything about seeing you again after that?

Speaker 1 (01:55):
No, nothing really got broke, like brought up or planned.
You know, It's just kind of I felt we left
on a great note.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Yeah, and then just nothing after the date.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Yeah. I like we did great turn taking with talking
and I just felt like, okay, I felt like the
ball was in his court after he said drive space,
Like okay, that kind of meant the follow up was
to come the next day. But nothing.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Yeah, I feel that too.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
I mean it sounds like everything went really well, especially
since you closed the restaurant down. I mean he could
have tried to leave at any time at that point.
Is there anything that could have happened? Though, that would
be the reason why he's ghosting you.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
I have a tendency to overshare, like just a smidge.
And we got on the topic of X's which I
didn't bring up, by the way, but I accidentally mentioned
to answer one.

Speaker 6 (02:56):
Of his questions that I do have a tad too,
and it's my X's name.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Okay, yeah, totally due to a to kill the old weekend.
I mean, bad decisions all around.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
Because the only person that's accidentally gotten the wrong tattoo.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Yeah, I mean it was right at the time, and I.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Made it really clear to him that I hate that
X right now and I'm in the process of getting
it removed. I mean, I'm just not the type of
person that gets the name tattooed on them. But, like
I said, bad decision. I feel pretty embarrassed by it.
But I am also pretty embarrassed. I even like shared
about it.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Okay, he's a cute little nugget.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
You know, if you were to see parts of your
body at some point and you find.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
It, right, I guess that's good. To be honest, it's
the best policy.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Yeah, well we'll see if there's a tattoo that is
the reason you're getting ghosted. Well, play a son'll come
back and then call him and see if you'll tell
us why he's ghosting you.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
And maybe it's your second day if you still want them.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Okay, all right, thank you?

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Well, okay, well it's your first day follow up right
after this, in the middle of your first date follow up,
if you're just joining us. Sabrina is on the phone
and she's getting ghosted by a guy named Darren. So
in a second we're gonna call him see if he'll
tell us why he's ghosting her and maybe get her
a second date. But first, Sabrina, why don't you break
down your date again one more time?

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Yeah? I felt like it was a great date, and
we were talking until the restaurant was closing, I mean,
and had this moment outside in the parking garage. I
just don't know what went wrong, other than I could
have possibly spilled too much about my tattoo that is
of my ex's name.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Would you care?

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Probably not. I don't think I would care. It depends
where the tattoo was, how big it was, you know,
so you're not.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
Going to talk to Maybe that was a bad example. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
I also can't judge because I have tattoos that yeah,
so yeah, that I want to get rid of. But anyway,
well we hope it's not that. Yeah, we'll see if
it is.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
All right?

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Are you ready for us to call him?

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Definitely?

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Okay, here we go. Hello, Hi, man, I speak to
Darren please.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Yeah, this is Darren.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Hey, Darren, how are you. This is a radio show.
It's called The Jewbill Show.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Hi, Darren, Amina. Hi, I'm Victoria. My name is Jubel.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Have you ever heard the show before?

Speaker 4 (05:33):
Yeah? Yeah, so I'm guessing this is about Sabrina.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Huh, yes it is. It's the first date follow up.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
You know, the segment where if you go somebody, they
can email us to call you and find out why
are you ghosting them? Sabrina emailed us about you. We
talked to her and she said that she thought everything
was cool. She really liked you, but now you're ghosting her.
Do you have a minute to tell us why?

Speaker 4 (05:52):
Yeah? She ate off my plate with her bare hands.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
That's it.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
What do you mean that's it. Yeah, she reached across
the table mid sentence, grabbed a meatball with their fingers
and said just one bite, then popped it in her
mouth like it was a tic tac and lick her fingers.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
She grabbed a meatball with her bare hands. Okay, gotta
love a meatball. That's enough to go somebody though.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Uh for me, it was like watching someone Santa flight
mid air, no warning, just boom ball gone.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Okay, hold me though, if you can do that, like,
I mean, that's impressive to pop a meatball in your
mouth that quick.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
But Darian, she told us, you guys like hung out
to the restaurant closed. Did you just I don't know,
decided to put that in the back of your mind
until the end of the.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
Day, honestly, Yeah, because I wanted to dessert because she
ate my food.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Okay, okay, okay, And that's the only reason.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Is the meatball tictac incident.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
You know, I feel like that's a pretty significant thing.
Like y'all don't think that's the big deal.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
I think I would be annoyed if somebody didn't ask
and they just reached across and grabbed my off my plate.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
But not only did she not ask, she did it
with her bare hands.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Maybe it's not really comfortable with you.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
I guess. But I didn't even know how to react.
I just stared at my plate like it betrayed me.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
That's a good point. I don't know how I react either.

Speaker 5 (07:19):
Like French fries, that's fine, like you assume people will
grab those, But to take a meat ball with your fingers.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Meat ball is an interesting cho It's a little messy.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
I don't even want anyone touching my French fries.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Darren, you might already know this, but Sabrina's on the
phone and she has been listening and wants to talk
to you.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Oh my god, Hi Darren, uh hey, Sabrina.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
Hey.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Like honestly, it was a me ball. That was the
that was the final trigger for you.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
Look you didn't even use a pork, You just counce
like a lion.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Yeah, I mean it was one met ball.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
I was just being playful, thankful. You were shoveling food
in your face like a caveman.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Oh no, I was not. I was being like sexy
with the meatball and drawing attention to my mouth with it.
You got a caveman from that?

Speaker 4 (08:14):
That was not sexy at all. That was probably the
most unsexy thing I've ever seen.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Are you not into girls? Because I would think any
guy would think that's sexy.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
Look, I mean, I am in the girls, and you are.
You're beautiful and you're nice. But it was definitely a
boundary violation. And honestly, I'd barely barely known you an
hour and you were reaching across the table for my food.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
I mean, honestly, that's going far boundary violation. Like, come on, seriously,
it was just cute. I mean, if you need me too,
I'll get you more.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Meanfalls, it's not about the meatball. It's about trust. It's
about Sabrina.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
And this is ridiculous hygiene Like, honestly, because I use
my hands, they were clean and it was going into
my mouth. There's nothing unhygienic about it.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
That's why we have forks. You didn't even use a fork?

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Would you still be ghosting? Or if she would have
used a fork instead of her hands.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
Well, if she had asked first if she could have
a meatball and then use her fork, yeah, that would
be a totally different story.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
Wow, So if she promises to use forks from here on, out.
Does that change that for you?

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Or is it correct?

Speaker 4 (09:35):
You know, I just have some trauma unpack with this stolen.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Meata clearly, Hey, would you like another date with Sabrina?

Speaker 3 (09:44):
Will pay for it? Hmm?

Speaker 4 (09:47):
Let me think, Do I want to go on another
date with the woman who used her bare hands to
grab food off of my plate, risking all sorts of
dizzy to end end of the world Fiasca, now I'm good?

Speaker 3 (10:04):
No, no, Darren again.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
If it was the meatball, then good luck finding someone
who can handle your.

Speaker 6 (10:12):
Deep emotions to use the need of having a fork
used every time, and.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
Good luck learning how to use one.
