little secret?

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Yeah, I do. What is it?

Speaker 1 (00:11):
So? I worked for a school district in a different state,
and uh, let's just say I had keys to you know,
all the schools I did, like mechanical stuff and whatnot.
And uh, during summer, I'd go in and I could
get in the mechanical rooms. And what I would do
is I had a pillow that I found like in

(00:31):
like the health department, right, and like a pad, like a.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Wrestling pad, and I put up a mechanical room and
I would go into cafeteria and get cartoner, you know,
milk or chocolate milk, and then I would get some
kind of snack and go up mechanical room and I'd
take me a nice little nap for an hour, two hours,
three hours until I was resting, and then I would
go back to work.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Did you bring your blanky with you to go with
your chocolate milk?

Speaker 3 (00:57):
All?

Speaker 4 (00:57):
Right?

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Maybe? No?

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Like how your nap was an hour two hours, three hours,
I'd sleep there all day pretty much.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
Yeah, sometimes there was an hour.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Sometimes it was pretty close to about three hours. But
you know, just been on how tired.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
I was, and that's that's my very little sick here.
It was not a good one, you know, but hey,
if you're tired, I guess go take a nap.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
I think it's a great one. I identify as a
sleepy girl, so I totally am with that. You're tired,
you got take a nap.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Nap, yeah, you know, and you got free snacks and everything.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
So great. Thank you for telling us your a little secret.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
You bet you guys have a good day, you too.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Hello, Hello, Hey you have a little secret.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Yes, okay, So my different little secret is I work
at a call center and some of the times when
I put people on hold, it's like, so I could
like take a little break and like eat a lunch.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Or I've always feard that was always happening. Explains a lot.
Actually it's not always.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
But you know, if I if I'm hungry and I
want to grab like a luna, you know, I'll be like, oh, yeah,
I'm gonna transfer to you hold.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
Please.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Have you ever been caught doing that?

Speaker 3 (02:06):
How would they know?

Speaker 1 (02:06):
I mean, you know, they don't know why they're on hold?

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Sure?

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Right, yeah, unless you come back on chewing.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
I make sure all the evidence is gone. I swallow.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
I'm good at that point, and.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
I'm like, oh, sorry, the other apartments just had a
bass up in their hold center and blah blah blah.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Well, thank you for telling us your dirty little secret.
Now I know exactly how angry to get when I'm
on hold. Thank you to me.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
