Hello, Hello, Hey, you have a dirty little secret.

Yes.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
So, when I was in my early thirties, my mom
had a best friend who was in the middle seventies. Okay,
so she had a ranch. He offered me a job
to work on the ranch and pay off my friend
by living in a property in a separate house.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Okay, to live on the ranch in a separate house.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Yeah, okay. So you know, after about a year, we
were drinking one night, one thing led to another and
we ended up looking up Wow.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
With your mother's friends seventy something year old how to Go?
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Yeah, it was pretty awesome. We both agreed that it
was probably the best time we'd ever had. She hadn't
been with a guy, and I don't know how long
because her her husband had passed away about three years prior.
But she was giving me all kinds of munth, you know,
because of it, and she upped my salary and I'm
all started geting suspicious because she's like, why is she

trying to buy you a car? Why did she give cash?
And so, yeah, I did more than just work on
that farm. You know what.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
I thought it was wild because the older you get,
the last essay give so.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Yeah, it was pretty good. I'll never forget it. It was
probably one of the best times in my life.
Speaker 2 (01:21):

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Thank you for having me.

Yeah, I have a good one. Hello, Hello, Hey, what's up?

Speaker 3 (01:30):
I do have a dirty little secret.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yeah, what is it?
Speaker 3 (01:34):
It's actually from when I was younger and going to
the clubs a lot. Me and my friend went to
a club and I was in the bathroom and this
girl was a lot bigger than me. I'm smaller, and
she asked if she could buy my thong underwears off
of me for five dollars because she met a guid
that wanted her underwears, but she was embarrassed because they

were too big.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
So the best part is it's.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Like two in the morning, everyone's leaving the club, and
my friend was like, girl, are those your songs on
that guy's head warm out of the club on his head?
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Oh my gosh, that's incredible.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
And I really haven't told anybody this, but I guess
everybody knows now.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
You can't underestimate what goes down in the women's bathroom
clubs and bars. It is a sacred place, and that's
the kind of interaction to expect.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Yeah, so I made five dollars.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
I gave my under retro bachelorette party one time at
a bar. What did they ask you for?
Speaker 1 (02:39):
It?
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Would you? That was on the checklist of things they
need to get guys underwear And it was a very
hot summer day, so I felt bad for them. Thank

The Burden
The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary.
