at a young age in my opinion, and we never
got along. Obviously, I can't do nothing if thirteen and
right before I left for the army, when I was seventeen,

(00:26):
I put nair in her leaving conditioner. She had this
super long, flucious hair and I mixed there in it.
Oh my god. And it was just an eight year battle,
you know, growing up, and that was my revenge before
I left out. I don't know whatever came out of it.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
But wait, she doesn't know that you hadn't.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
I don't know if. I don't know if there was
enough in the conditioner for it to do anything. But
when I left for the Army, I never came back,
so I don't know what what came out of it.
That tastes off your hair, right, Yeah, yeah, it's crazy
a little bit. Well, yeah, leaving conditioner was you leave
it in so I'm sure it got in there. Good wow.

an operator and I was working the double shift graveyard
today shift. I mean, I was drinking all day. I
went to work on the drunk, went outside, went to
go and get some food to go, and I got
a d y on the clock. Nobody knew what's gone.

(01:46):
Went back to work five hours later and it was
all good. Nobody knew I was gone and it was
bad luck good. Look. At the same time, got a
d y by sometime my job. Nobody knew. That's good.

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
