Speaker 1 (00:01):
Jewbles dirty little secret. Hello, Hey, I'm here.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Hey, what's up. You have a dirty little secret?
Speaker 1 (00:08):
I do.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
So my step dad growing up was a total jerk,
and he always demanded me or my friends to make
him lunch or make him.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
A sweet tea.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
And so one day he was being a total act
to me, and so I decided because he wanted a
sweet tea and a ham sandwich.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
So me and my friends cut together.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
And remember in the movie, it's how he would like
do a looty but suck it back UPO. Yeah, okay,
So I both of us actually did a little bit
of that and his sweet tea. And then I had
a pet catfish, and so I would feed it worms.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
So we had a fridge full of worms, and so.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
I cut it up into really really tiny pieces and
I put it in a sandwich and he ate it.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
And I've never.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Told Hilly, well, thank you for telling us.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
You're welcome.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
I didn't eat it. Yeah, I probably won't ever have
sweet tea again after that. Bye, guys, Bye bye. Hello. Hello, Hey,
what's up? You have a dirty little secret?
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Yes I do.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
We have dirty little ears, so speaks drop it on us.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
So I wanted to take this opportunity to share a
lesson with some of my favorite people, you guys, and
probably the listeners too, And that is that I got
scammed out of one thousand dollars.
Speaker 5 (01:41):
Oh no, so it happens to all of us.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
It happens to those of us who are perfectly smart.
And just because you get scammed doesn't mean you're stupid.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
True.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
I think it's time you feel confused, ask another person
for help and hopefully won't end up like me.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Oh well, that's nice of you to say that for
other people. I'm sorry you got scammed. Yeah, what was
the scam?
Speaker 1 (02:07):
It was a zell scam.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
So I was selling prom dresses on Facebook marketplace and
a woman wanted to purchase the dress, and she said
that she sent me money via Zel, which I had
never used before, and that there was then a response
saying that I needed to upgrade my account in order
to receive the funds from her, and that she needed
(02:31):
to send me an additional two hundred.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Dollars which would go to my account.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
So like an account verification process definitely sounds sketchy.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
I know that in retrospect.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
But I also received an email saying, you know this
person sent you this money, here's what needs to happen.
So basically, they were asking me to send money to
verify my account and it was all fake. The woman
who asked to the dress was in on the scam.
(03:03):
You know. The person who I was speaking to who
said they were from Zell kept assuring me, you know,
the only way to complete the process is for you.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
To send us these funds that we can release.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
The vibe thinking that I'm doing this woman a favor,
that like I have to do this, when all along
it was just a huge scam and I ended up
losing a little under one thousand dollars.
Speaker 5 (03:30):
Oh my gosh, praying on the good souls. Yep, it's
messed up. That is why I don't have any bills.
Those were like, they're all scamming me. A credit card
company keeps saying that I owe them money, and I'm like, haha,
not today.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
A lot of people I know have been talking recently
about getting scammed, and so that was why, you know,
I listened to you guys every morning and I was like,
this is a perfect opportunity to make sure that everybody
who's listening NOS said this is out there, so be careful.
And ask for help if you start to feel confused, Jill.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Thank you for that. That's nice of you. Then thank
you for your dirty little secret.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Thank you guys.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Okay, a cover day, Bye bye. What's your dirty little secret?
