Speaker 1 (00:00):
First Day to follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury
Attorneys online at advocateslad dot com.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Maelan is on the phone today for a first date
follow up, and she's getting ghosted by a guy named Trevor.
So in a few minutes we're gonna call him and
see if you'll tell us why he's ghostinger and maybe
get her a second date. But first, Mailan, how long
has it been since you heard from Trevor?

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Hey, so it's been nine days.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Nine days, all right, that's a long time. Yeah, did
you try to call him or text?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Well?

Speaker 4 (00:28):
I first talketed him and he didn't even text me back,
like sorry, I've been busy. So I sent him a
voicemail of a voice message of me singing the theme
song from Friends, thinking that he would laugh at but
nothing so fun.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
I mean that's kind of funny. I mean it is
very funny.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
I think it's funny.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Well, why don't you tell us about the date?

Speaker 4 (00:50):
So Trevor, he's like confident, a little oh fancastic, But
I don't know, I just like was so attracted to him.
We went to this karaoke bar. It was my idea.
He seemed down and you know, I love a guy
who doesn't take to himself too seriously. You were doing
duets and by the second round he was like, he
has a super gravelly voice, and he did. He sang

(01:12):
creed and ironically somehow made it sexy and yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
And then after the carry ogat we went outside. There
was this stop serve ice cream truck.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
So we sat at a bench close by and ate
ice cream and swapped family.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Stories and laughed at drunk people.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Stumbling out at the bar, and I don't know, it
felt real.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
And so like natural. And then we kissed, like a
slow burnt.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
Kiss, yeah, and that you don't expect. But then when
it happened, my brain was like short circuiting. I was
like whoa, Yeah, and he's just like he's different, not
in like a fake deep way, but like in a
like a whoa. He surprised me kind of a way.

(02:00):
And I just know that trouble Trevor feel the same
way about me. I could steel it in my bones
that this was something different. And he also smelled like
cedar wood and like mystery, and I just I want
all of that. He did tell me his last relationship
ended because he got teated on and.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
He is working on trust issues.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Yeah, okay, Okay.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
So, thinking back, I know that a lot of the
guys at the bar were looking at me, and the
ice cream truck guy blatantly flirted with me, and I
wasn't flirting back, but you know, I would be nice,
and I think it may have triggered him and you know,
his trust issues. Yeah, I can't believe I did that.

(02:46):
I mean, in the moment, I didn't think about it,
but now it's so obvious to me.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Did he start to seem jealous when the ice cream
guy was hitting on you? Or do you feel like
he noticed to the other people were looking at you.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
I definitely think he knows if he was jealous, he
didn't show it.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
But yeah, like, looking back, I was like, oh, maybe
he was a little uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Maybe because that's really the only thing you could think
of that would have made it so he would and
respond for nine days.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Yeah, yeah, exactly. I feel like it was a perfect date.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Okay, And so you think that might be the reason
you're too hot? It happened, honestly, good for you, girl, Okay.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Man, I can't tell you the number of times I
haven't gotten a callback because I've just been way too
sexy hot person.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Problem happens all the time.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
All right, we'll play a song come back, and then
call him and see if he'll tell us why he's
ghosting you and maybe get you a second date if
you still want one. In just a second, okay, okay,
thinks all right, we'll get your first date follow up
right after this. It's the Jewel Show right in the

(03:57):
middle of today's first date follow up. And if you're
just joined us, Maelan is on the phone and she's
getting ghosted by a dude named Trevor. So we're about
to call him and see if he'll tell us why
he's ghostinger and maybe get her a second date. But first, Maylan,
why don't you break down your date again.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
For us real quick? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Sure. So we went to this Carrio could date. It
was my idea. We had a great.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
Time, and then we had ice cream outside afterwards, and
then we kissed and it was amazing. And then he
did tell me that he had trust issues because his
last girlfriend cheated on him.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
And since then it's been nine days. I've texted him.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
I even sent him a voice message of me singing
the same song from Friends and nothing nothing, all.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Right, because you think that the other guy is in
the ice cream guy was hitting on you to trigger him. Yeah, exactly.
I feel like it was a trigger for him.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Okay, so it could be because the ice cream man.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
I don't know where I was.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Well anyway, so it could be because the ice cream
man was hitting on you. That's the only reason you
can think of, only reason. Okay, here we go. Hello, Hi, man,
speak to Trevor please.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Yeah, this is them. Hey, Trevor, how are you. This
is a radio show. It's called The Jubile Show. Hi, Trevor.
I'm Nina. Hi, I'm Victoria and my name's Jebel. What's up.
How are you?

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Oh what, I'm.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
Good?

Speaker 5 (05:26):
How are you?

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Guys?

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Sweet? Pretty good? Thanks for asking. Do you ever listen
to the show?

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (05:31):
I know you guys? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Oh cool. Okay, well maybe you've heard the first a
follow up before yeah, yeah, yeah, all right.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Yeah, that's the segment where if you're ghosting somebody, they
can email us to get you on the phone and
ask why you're not calling them back. And we got
an email about you, Trevor. Okay, then you guesses who
that who that is? Who would email us.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
It's probably mailing.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
I mean, yeah, I guessed, yes, it's on purpose.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Huh.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
It's been nine days. Oh weird, she hasn't heard from
you at all.

Speaker 5 (06:11):
Yeah, that's because she's crazy.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Why oh why do you say that?

Speaker 5 (06:16):
Well, like, okay, we were sitting on a bench like
eating ice cream after like we had had you know,
we'd met up, and we're talking about life and and
you know, just family stories and stuff. And then she,
like she out of nowhere, just starts talking to her
dad grandma, Like she said to me, literally says to

(06:37):
me that her grandma keeps reminding her of funny stories
to share with me, and she said her grandma wanted
me to know.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
She literally said that.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
She said, I want my grandma wants you to know
that if I break her granddaughter's heart, she's gonna haunt
me forever. And then literally she started cackling, Like what how.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Was she talking to her grandma though? Was she actually
talking like out loud, like oh, Grandma, that it's a
good one, or was she just like making jokes and
you know, maybe she was trying to be funny. I
don't know.

Speaker 5 (07:07):
I really felt like she was talking like she thought
she was talking to her like she was like with us.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
It was bizarre, okay, and that's the reason.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Okay, how would you feel jubile?

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Yeah, I mean I don't know, you know, like it
depends where I was in life. Okay, Like if I
was just looking for a hook up, absolutely i'd be
down because that sounds like it'd be probably fun. But
I would want to make sure if I was looking
for a long term thing that you know, she's not
constantly having conversations with her grandma.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Got it, she was joining us, got it? You need
some alone time?

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Yeah, Well, thank you Trevor for being honest. And Maylen
is actually on the phone and must have talked to you.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
I Trevor.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
Maylan.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's yeah, yeah. I just want you
to know that, you know, I mean, my grandma was there,
but it's nothing to worry about, and she's always.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Kind of there for me.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
But okay, but wait, yeah, you're nothing to worry about.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
You were literally talking to your your dead grandma on
the date, you know, Like that's okay, all right.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
Well that's something I just want you to know that
I'm not crazy. I talk to my grandma because my
grandma's always there. For me when I'm nervous and she
was there for me, that's come normal for me.

Speaker 5 (08:36):
I mean, I'm just not I don't know what to
do with that, you know, because she wasn't really there,
so it was like it was a.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
Very jarring for me.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
So you know, well she was there and she is
actually with me right now, and she doesn't like how
you're acting.

Speaker 5 (08:52):
Great, okay, so I've I've been roasted by a ghost
and I guess okay.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
For first.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
Yeah, well she does not like how you're packling right now.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
And she thought that you were really sweet on the date.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
But you know, right now she's really really unsure, like
she thinks that maybe you're crazy.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
Oh yeah, okay, well I guess that's something I'm yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Okay, he probably does.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
What do you what?

Speaker 5 (09:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (09:22):
I was talking to her grandma and.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
She says that your hips are really tight, so you're
probably not really good in bed?

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Wow grandma doing?

Speaker 4 (09:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (09:32):
Okay what and now your grandma is talking to me, Well,
you're talking about her.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
Like she doesn't exist, so she's basically just defending herself.

Speaker 5 (09:45):
Well, Maylan, if your grandma is so alive, I would
rock her world to show her and then I'm good
in bed.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
But wait, what why show her what's up? I mean,
but she said, so I did not do that. Wow,
well you.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
Won't be able to handle my grandma. She was married
five times, so I guarantee you she's a lot more
experienced than you are.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Grandma, Trevor, would you like to go on another date
with Mayland? We'll pay for it.

Speaker 5 (10:18):
Yeah, I couldn't barely had my own mom, Like, I
don't know if I'm ready for her Grandma like the
dead Grandma commentary.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
Yeah, well, I don't need to go on a date
with you because obviously you're not good in bed, and
I need that.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
I need that

Speaker 3 (10:39):
You will first date follow up
