Speaker 1 (00:00):
First Date of follow up powered by the Advocates Injury
Attorneys online at advocateslaud dot com. Trance is on the
phone today for a first day follow up and he's
getting ghosted by a woman named Kara. So in a
few minutes we'll call her and see if she'll tell
us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him a
second date. But first, Trent, how long has it been
since your day with Kara?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
It's been like a.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Couple of weeks.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Uh. Yeah, man, I mean, look, we had a great date,
but don't really understand why she's ghosted me. But anyway,
so I work in I t with a big animal
guy and I was volunteer. I was volunteering at the
shelter and that's where I met her, and you know,
we were like kind of talking just casually, and all
of a sudden, like three dogs just climbed up on us,

(00:44):
and I don't know, it just felt kind of happen
me and I was like, yeah, she.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Might be the girl, Okay for sure.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
But yeah, I don't I care. He had this like
easy want about her, and it seems like she likes
saying most of the same way I do. I mean,
she was volunteering. Yeah, I don't know. It just felt
like very casual and easy and espessially pretty funny. She's
really kind.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
What was the date? So you guys met at the
shelter and you guys are playing with dogs? Was that
your date or that's like how you guys started to talk?

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Well, that's kind of funny. Well that's actually how we met.
But then our date was also going to the shelter.
I thought instead of like going out to dinner, it
would be kind of fun to, you know, go to
the shelter and have a little picnic there. You know,
there's just like glass ceiling stuff with all these plants,
and it's like really good natural light. And anyways, I

(01:32):
brought a blanket into food, and you know, the dogs
just kind of went on a date with us.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Yeah, okay, dogs, anything better? Did you guys kiss? Was
she flirting? Bag? Did you feel like you guys had
serious chemistry?

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I thought so until there was a parrot in the
room and it sweeked feed me right when I was
about to kiss her.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
I thought it was funny if she lost to but
there was a parrot.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Okay, yeah, it's pretty fun Yeah, so I don't know.
I just like she might be ghosting me because we
were laying on the blanket, and you know how it
is sometimes like you're a little close, and I forget
that her hair is much longer than mine and how
to navigate that. And at one point she tried to
get up, and I didn't know my elbow was on
her hair and it yanked a lot of her hair out,

(02:27):
and I don't know, I felt very bad and I
was obviously not like folly. But she did yell, and
then the dogs started barking. And then reminds you that
the parents just said what it sted up with that
it was kind of a really big collapse of the date,
and it's kind of just like that the date was over.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Yeah, your hair gets stripped out, and so it was
after that the date was over. And did she seem
like okay or did she seem just like upset?

Speaker 2 (02:58):
I think she seemed like she's trying to hide how.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Up that she was okay.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
But you know, before the hairpoint, everything was perfect. I
don't know, I just don't get it. I thought she
was I thought she was really into it, like.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
I was so okay. Well, we'll see if we can
figure it out. Then we'll play a song come back,
and then call her and see if she'll tell us
why she's ghosting you, and then maybe get you a
second date if you still want one.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Okay, all right, that's good, thank you.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
All right, we'll get your first day follow up next.
You're just joining us for today's first Day follow up.
Trent is on the phone and he's getting ghosted by
a woman named Kara. So we're about to call her
and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him
and maybe get him a second date. But first, Trent,
why don't you break down your situation for us again
real quick?

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Yeah. So I met the scir Kara at the animal
shelter where we're building a volunteering ast. Her on a date,
ironically to have a picnic at that same animal shelter.
Who's going great. We're hanging out and we were laying
on the on a blanket that I brought, and right
I worked going to kisser a Paris squeaked seeing me,

(04:03):
which was I thought hilarious, And she goes to get
up and I didn't realize that her hair was under
my elbow and pulled a lot of her hair out
and now she hasn't talked to me.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
So this sounds so ridiculous. He just like pictured this
moment happening. I'm so sorry. Are you ready for us
to call her?

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Okay, here we go. Hello, Hi, may speak to Kara? Please?

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Yeah? This is she?

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Who's this?

Speaker 4 (04:40):
Hi?

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Kara? How are you? This is a radio show. It's
called The Jewbil Show. Hi Kara, I'm Nina. Hi, I'm
Victoria and my name is Jubell. How are you.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
This?

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Wait?

Speaker 4 (04:49):
This is the radio Okay, I wasn't ready for this.
The radio is calling.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. We do a segment on the show
that's called the First Day follow Up. That's where if
you go out on a date with somebody and end
up ghosting them, that person can email us to get
you on the phone and ask why you're ghosting them.
And we got an email about you from somebody? Oh
my gosh, okay, you have any ideas? Who would email us?
Are you're currently ghosting somebody?

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Oh god, this is uncomfortable. I mean maybe would it
be Trent?

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Probably?

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Congratulations, that is correct, it is Trent. Would you mind
telling us why you're ghosting Trent?

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Yeah, sure, So Okay, I basically I overheard to I
don't know how much she told you, but I overheard
two of the other volunteers we were volunteering wi sprain
about Trent while I was on the date with him,
and they were whispering about how like he's done this before,
like this whole innore picnic was not like he just

(05:52):
does it with cute volunteers. And honestly, I don't want
to be the next like pool in his little you know,
shelter dating tour.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
So what did he do?

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Yeah? He like it was very.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Sweet, right, Like he created this like indoor picnic at
the shelter and like, you know, it's beautiful, like the
animals are there, it's it's chill, it's there's you had
a blanket, there's food.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
It was very sweet, the dogs are there.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
But yeah, like I heard the volunteers like talking about
it and be like, yeah, he does this all the
time like every cute new volunteer, and like I that
that feels crummy, right, Like I'm like I don't need
to be the next person he's because he was acting
like this was, you know what an inspired idea, right,

(06:39):
like it was just for.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Me, Like the first time he's ever done.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
It exactly exactly, and I'm like, nope, that feels something.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
Little red flag's going off, So what a move?

Speaker 1 (06:50):
So he's just like an animal shelter player. Yeah, well,
thank you for telling us why you're I appreciate that, Kara.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Yeah, thanks, So hopefully it's couple.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yeah, and I also let you know that Trent is
on the phone and has been listening and wants to
talk to you.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
What what? Oh okay, what he's here now? Hey there?

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Oh hi, Hi, So you ghosted me over that.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
Well, I didn't want to be like indoor picnic girl
number seven, you know, all right, fine.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
But look I've done the picnics before, but that's because
it's a cool spot. But I didn't want you to
feel that way, like I actually liked you.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
Oh okay, sure, mister saint, like a shelter dates, like
a editor of praying on volunteers. Do you have a
punch cart, you know, like ten picnics and you get
a free cat or something.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
I don't know, this is shady.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
I can oh, come on, I can't help if that's
my move, but like the different a move, but it
really did feel real, like I don't know. You're kind
of different.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
Okay, it's a little cheesy, but right like next you're
gonna tell me, I don't know the parrot gave a
gave like a blessing to us, like the should be
together honestly.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Honestly maybe, but that was not planned. Like right before
I kissue, you scream sever that's basically officiating and you
gotta make it.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
Okay, there's nothing this this romance like a bird third
wheeling us.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Dude, what you can't.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Ghost the guys for creating perfect TV moments?

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Okay, maybe the moments were perfect, but like your motive
was not, Like, are you kidding me?

Speaker 3 (08:43):
I still don't even know why you like me? What
makes me so different? Like are you into me just
because I ghosted you?

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Like I'm suddenly not available and so you can't move
on to the next girl to set.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
The picnic up for No.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
No, it's just like it's the way you were with
the animals and I'm just with them and you see them.
You remembered every dog's name the story, even the one
that was nervous around men. You kind of looked at
me the same way, and I know that sounds like
a TV moment. But look, I wasn't just another guy
at the shelter. That's when I knew you weren't just

(09:17):
you know a moment you were you.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
Oh that was disgustingly sweet, Like I'm pretty sure you
say that to all the girls, And yeah, I don't
know what to say.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Man, Look, you can say whatever you want and I'll
take it, just as long as you don't ghost me.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
I don't know, Like, how can I trust you?

Speaker 4 (09:39):
You know, like it's very sweet what you just said
to me, but it like doesn't how do I know
it's sincere? I mean, all the other volunteers are like
know your playbook that you've done this before.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
I've never taken another volunteer on a second date. And
how about you trust me? And so I give you
a reason not to trust me?

Speaker 4 (09:57):
All right? So you like, what do you sleep at
them all the first date? So then you got what
you need and you don't call them back or or
they just like don't ghost you.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
So like now now I'm a challenge. That's why you
want to go on a second date with me.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Definitely don't suit them on the first date because that
would be in public and.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
You are funny that's that's for sure. This is so weird.
I can't believe for all the radio doing this, I
don't I don't know.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
What to say.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
I'm like, I feel weird, like I don't know you.
I feel they were like.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Coms and you can say whatever you want. I could
take it up.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Promise, Kara, would you like another date? Which one won't
pay for it?

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Maybe? But like no, no picnics, no shelter.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
And if I hear you've used the same move again,
like honestly I am, I'm sticking the dogs on you.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
Okay, alright, that is good deal.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
But when we can keep casting them over.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
Okay, yeah, see this is why women need self respect. Fine, yes,
I I will give you another chance. Okay, this is perfect.
It's a movie.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
But she was kind of, you know, tying back in
the whole thing, like I can't help it if I
do TV romantic style date.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Because you're so smooth, so I can't help that.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
I might be a help. It's romantic and I take
her on TV dates, TV level romantic dates. And Sarah
thought it was kind of funny to call me casanova,
and I actually love it, and I want that to
be by nickname going forward.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
All right, well, congratulations Casanova, you got a second date.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
He Kara, I promise you wouldn't regret this, okay, I
can't wait for you to prove it to me.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
You will first fall up,
