Speaker 1 (00:01):
For all you men bastards loving the Big Show podcast
Get Up even Closer.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
On Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok for for dogging four to
seven every weekday on.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Radio Friday Friday Fellows got there?

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Oh good man, it's good. Yeah, I'm stoked about it.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Has the week gone quickly or slowly? For you guys?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
My week goes quickly every week working in this job.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
I don't know why.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
It's just like you wake up and then all of
a sudden it's time to watch country calendar and put
your wife to bed, you know what I mean? Every
day boom?

Speaker 4 (00:35):
What about you? Well? Yeah, goes fast man.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Yeah, yeah, you know what I mean. It's already been
three years of the show. What's that about?

Speaker 1 (00:43):
That's pretty crazy, has it? Wow?

Speaker 4 (00:46):
Yeah? Twenty one July twenty one was that?

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Yeah, jeeze, that was a while ago, Fellas three years,
three years of our twenty year campaign and.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
A lot of a lot of that in COVID.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Obviously, I still remember how nervous you guys were for
the first step, And it wasn't.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
I wasn't.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
I wasn't nervous.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Jace was, Jase was nervous. I wasn't. I've never been
nervous on the show.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
But the funny thing was when we got in here,
I didn't actually know how to use the desk in
the first break, I didn't know how to dip the music.
But I remember you stressing out about it. No, because
when you're doing live with three people, it's a different setup.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
It's just you.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
I mean, like it's different, and I got in here,
I don't know what I'm doing good.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
I don't recall stressing out. Maybe I was. I thought
I thought we did a really good show, because you know,
it's a lot of tension on the first of a
new kind of setup.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
It was a weird thing.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
I had zero ideas well, not that I didn't give
a ship, but that I just had no nerves and
no sort of thought about the audience.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Do you think it was a massage I gave you
beforehand part of it and the handy.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yeah, And I'm glad about that because it would be
really annoying of every single day you were nervous about
a live audience.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Actually, when I first started doing radio, I was nervous
for about the first five years. Yeah, every show there
was a lot going on emotionally for me. Yeah, what's
going to happen. Yeah, and now it's now it's great.
I don't have nerves at all, because yeah, I share
a panic attacks, you know what I mean. Different, But

(02:21):
that's not something wrong with your brain and my heart
and my breathing. Yeah, and yeah, I know you and
Mogi will carry.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Me, carry you.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Yeah. And you know that when you walk in here,
you've been given I've written down all your jokes for
you and you can just go in and read them
off the paper and you're sweets.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
You guys are like my little arm floaties in the ocean.
That's right, you know what I mean. You keep me buoyant. Yeah,
otherwise it's.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
A bit flat though.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Yeah, I'm sort of sinking on one side. On one side,
I've worked out what's happening with my cough a little bit,
I think, outside of the fact that I'm still smoking cigarettes,
which is a part of it.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
You're still smoking pole are.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Given an opportunity KIZI wow, Yeah, okay, But I was
on antibiotics, remember that. Yes, I completely forgot about them.
Stopped after about four days or three days, I think larynge.
It was the signing. The whole set up the middle
of that and then I just stopped so and this
morning I was like, funk, I need to get rid

(03:18):
of this cough. This is a fucking joke. I'm going
to go to the doctor. And then I was like,
actually didn't get Did I finish that?

Speaker 3 (03:23):
No?

Speaker 4 (03:23):
I didn't. Yeah, so you don't like that.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
They don't like doctors don't like that, Maggie.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
But he stopped antibiotics and vegetables all together.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
At some point that day.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
I started vegetables right, and fruits. But yeah, so that'll
be it. That'll be it. So I've got to get
back on those. That'll sort. Yeah, but pregnant zone and
some antibiotics. Good stuff, good stuff, man, So good is
the best.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
This is the weird thing, not that I'm aware of.
I'm not. I don't have a cough.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
You're very good for somebody who smoked, as long as
you do.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Exactly, you know, like I remember my stepmother who was a.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Smoker and still is just inclining that anywhere.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
She had a real dollop of a smoke.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
And you know, she had a good morning hack. You
know smokers had that morning hack. Yeah, I've never sort
of had that.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
That's great.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
I'm sure my time will come.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Sort of feels like if it hasn't happened by now,
it won't. Yeah, thirty plus years of smoking. Were you
smoking when you were thirteen?

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Probably?

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Yeah? Yeah I was. That was pretty hard core.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
Kies Were you actually twelve?

Speaker 2 (04:35):
No?

Speaker 4 (04:35):
I think by firstgree at twelve?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Yeah, I would have had my first one at twelve,
but I on a regular basis. But when I say regular,
I mean like two a day, probably when I was
about fifteen sixteen, crazy behind the old dear cricket nets
there up on the mountain.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
So cool and are you still cool? And I want
to see through cricket nets.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
I used to freak out every time that I had
can immediately I had a cigarette, and I remember saying
to my mate, you didn't I have cancer after that,
and he'd be like, well, after one fucking cigarette.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Hoids, But that is how her kid's brain works, are
you thinks continues to.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Got that's how my brain works. And now you know,
like fifty millions going to be the one later. Yeah,
that's it, man, this is my last fucking package.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Good jo.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
I'm just not doing it anymore.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Yeah, I support you.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Just got sort a few things out.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
That was quick yeah, the whole Arky Big Show one
days from four on radio Hururarchy, remember the Wracky Big
Show podcast.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Hopefully going to buy some gold clubs this week in.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Well, yesterday was the two week point since he promised
one thousand dollars to each of us.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
Thank you good because you told him that.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
I was gonna ask you, fellows, when's my cut off here?
Because that is playing on. When I told my wife
about that she was just wealthy, you're still fucking more?

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Would be there two weeks to get golf clubs which
you want.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
I had to put myself under pressure, and that was
to say, I'll give you each your grand if I
don't buy golf clubs.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
You in this that you and buying golf club reminds
me of me in studying.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
I wouldn't have taken money. I would have just been
happy that you were wrong.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
I would have taken it and I would have bought
something like a chain that I would wear every day
and be like.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
See, Actually, I put a question on the chat today
because I saw really nice said of women's golf clubs,
would they be all right? They'd be right, wouldn't they?
I mean, how do they? I mean what's the difference
between a women's club and a men's club.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
So usually the women's clubs are a bit flexier, so
that because they traditionally can't hit it swing it as
hard to the more flex you know, it adds street.
But if you're a bloke, but to be honest, you
it sounds perfect for me. You won't swing very hard anyway,
I don't think.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Yeah, that's what I mean.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Yeah, so a flexier shaft is probably what you want.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Why did you look at me like that when you
said a flexier sh.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
You know, you know what?

Speaker 1 (07:02):
But yeah, kind of creep me out a little bit.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Just just just going by any scent of clubs you got.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Really hood, did you know Margie Keesey's been at the
old Bloody Empire all afternoon.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
On the hammer and now trying to sober up with
some mistant coffee.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
And just stuffing his gold with chippies.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Well, quite a few differences here. Just googling. I was
just I was intrigued to the length of the club.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Yeah, that'll suit me. The weight of the club, that'll
suit me.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
The shaft flexibility, yeah, the club, the head design right,
with bigger sweet spots and higher lofts.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
This is all good for me.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Tick tick tech grip size and visual design. They're all pink.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
That's all right.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
Nothing all with that.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Sam supporting a charity?

Speaker 3 (07:55):
No, just have a pink club. Why do you have
to say you're supporting a charity.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Yeah, that's true. I got to own it if I'm
want to have pink clubs might clash with my my.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
I played around of golf with my mother in law's
clubs that pink and they're like, you know, done a
lot for women or some ship that old airs, But
they were sweet. I think I shot like seventy.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Something bullshit keys.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
It was a nightholder though, But.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Just get anything. Don't you worry about that? What are
you freaking out about?

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Don't you worry about it? Is what you said, and
I'm like, I'm freaking O. What are you guys doing
this weekend?

Speaker 1 (08:33):
I'm going to Matakana Markets tomorrow with my wife there
in Madicana, hopefully meeting my mother in law up there
as well.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Then Sunday we've got something on as well. I can't
remember what it was. God, it's doing my head in
this ship.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
Was it something?

Speaker 1 (08:51):
What?

Speaker 3 (08:51):
No?

Speaker 1 (08:53):
No, are you going to try and fix it now.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
It was like, why don't you run a calendar on
your things change all the time, that.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
We've got something on Sunday. But that's all good. It's
nothing made you. I don't think.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
Like I got up this morning and I don't know
where my wife was because she's went on the tracker,
and I head up the tracker and I could see
she was in Green Bay, and I was like, oh,
she's got a dentist appointment. I looked at our yeah,
our calendar there, and then I said, oh, I've got
a haircut at nine thirty. Oh, so you know it's
all now.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
I made that.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
I would have missed it that I made the haircut.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
You have you noticed it? No?

Speaker 1 (09:33):
It just looks the same, does it? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Man?

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Shit, it looks it looks awesome. And I'm stoked about
I actually am.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
Is that a fade? Is that a phase?

Speaker 3 (09:43):
It's a two fade because if you go one fade,
it fades down to skin level. Yes, it's way too
skucks And you walk in here and everyone gives you
a shit about it. Oh hey, yeah, here he is.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
I walk in here and everyone gives me shit about everything.
Every anyway, what does it matter.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
I don't want to take the heat off jays, so
you just get two fade a little bit long on
top goodness go.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
Yeah, beautiful.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
I can't because I'm filming. So I'm going to a
play tomorrow night. Yeah, yes, I'm going to do. I've
forgot no idea, absolutely no idea. And then other than that,
I might just go for some walks. I think I'm
going to bring some walks into my life.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
I hang on, I.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
Do, yeah, but I feel like I should be going
out and going to the walks out you know, there's
a waterfall out pi Ha or somewhere, you like, it's
anice stuff like that, and taking the kid out and
stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (10:33):
Exactly.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
I need to just start doing that out of the
house because otherwise it's very much I'm in here, I'm
in the office and I'm at my home. Yes, there's
not much variation on that day and week to week.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Well that's why, you know, like we're going to mad
Kana and stuff, and there's I love up North, I
love walk beyond, walk with Omaha, all those areas. I'm
going to just start fishing and ship up there because
it's not that far away anymore, right, it's only about
an hour's drive.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
A lot of wealth up there, Yeah, there is.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
A lot of wealth, well, well wealth. And I'm going
to watch a rugby.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
And I want to watch the Warriors versus the Panthers
and the elimination final tomorrow afternoon at one o'clock. I'm
not sure if that's one o'clock, the three o'clock here
or what is that? That the new South Wales club.
It's a grade below. Okay, great for our development mate,
fourth versus fifth, it's going to be a goodie, going
to be a goodie.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
But yeah, I don't know, I just really actually I'm
going to have a sauna.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Can Can the Warriors use players from their.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
Top team for that only if they've already played.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
In the competition, even if it's just once.

Speaker 4 (11:44):
I'm not sure.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
I think usually this rule is like three games minimum
or something, right.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Yeah, I don't know. We have had a very strong
team this year, so that it'll be good watch that
they'll get pammed. Yeah, yeah, yeah, good South New Zealand.
I am glad for this weekend. I've got to say I'm.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Glad for every week.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
It's been a long run.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
