kind of filled up a little bit.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
You guys going out to play golf. Nobody tells me,
nobody else you want to come and play.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
I just assume you'd be busy as fuck.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
Still ask come on, man, do you want to come?
Do you want to come?

Speaker 5 (00:36):
Magie you I'm busy.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
We're gonna be going like once, maybe even twice eventually
a week.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
Yeah, cool, No, I will. I will be money beg
I will be into that. Yeah, you can't play with us.
I've got well, I've got to get other things going
on in my life.

Speaker 5 (00:52):
A bit of fresh air, MURGI bit of a.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
Bit of a want to turn your phone off.

Speaker 5 (00:55):
Jason, totally.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
Man. Yeah, I think the last time I went out
and played golf. I think this is what happened. I
was away, It's around Christmas or something like that, and
I was like, I'm going to go, and I had
my girlfriend at the time you hit it. No, I
had her, oh right there at at my mum's place.

(01:19):
I'm sure it was around Christmas. Sure it was Jason,
maybe a couple of days after, sure could have been.
And the and I see it and we'd spent you know,
by this stage, we'd spend a couple of weeks together solid.
And I said, I'm just going to go and play
around the golf with with a made of mine. And
the feeling was that that she wanted to come as well. Right,

(01:41):
it's just the boys that are going out. Nana quite
keen to came. I was like, wow, I'm quite keen
for a break anyway. As these things do, you know,
one thing leads to another. Before you know it, you've
been screamed at for not really having done anything wrong.
And so I went out and I went out and
I played golf. I turned my phone off, turn my

(02:04):
phone off. When and played golf felt great. And as
soon as I turned my phone back on, I just
felt like I'm not in my stomach, Yeah, anot of dread.
And I was like, you know, a dreadnot And I thought,
how did how did I let myself get into a
position where this is my life? Yeah, I mean this

(02:24):
was not the first occasion and I just went back
and I said, all right, let's pack our ship. We'll
go back to Wellington and golf and that golf that
and we're done here.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Moment of clarity.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
Wow, yeah, too far.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
It's a key in a relationship. And I've noticed this.
Certain friends of mine have to do everything together. Yeah,
and it doesn't end well, you have to have ship
that you do. And also my wife just goes iffing, boring.
You guys got on to play that totally. Just yeah,
you don't have to do everything together.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
Absolutely, And my wife's the same.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
She's give in your relationship. It's the other way. You
want to do everything that your wife's doing.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
That's true.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
I want to do everything, she's true.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Yeah, she'll be like, I'm going to go buy something.
You want to hang out with it? Yeah, you'll be
like can I come?

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Yeah, Yeah, that's what I'm like.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
No, she's really she's good. We're both good like that.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
It's like she's actually quite a social human being. She
goes out with her mates all the time and stuff,
which is great.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
Yeah you're saying that you're sitting at home just filthy.

Speaker 5 (03:29):
Just fume.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
But no, she was always you know, in terms of
the golf side of things in terms of anything I
want to do.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
She's like, yeah, man, go for it.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
It really does pay off in the long run because
it's eventually when you're playing eighteen, it's a great walk.
It's self improvement.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Well, I mean, well, Patience.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Discussed this on the show because I have a Yeah,
I have deep concerns about returning. I'm really looking forward
to it, genuinely, but I have concerns.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
But just to come out and just watch you.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
But anyway, on the phone thing, yeah, I was going
to offer pug Sound that opportunity.

Speaker 5 (04:05):
He'd be into that, wouldn't he.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Mike Minogues put his hand up for it.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
I just put micp too busy.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
Yeah, but he just take the piss out of me
the entire time.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
And you need Pugson to have his hands free for
the for the videos.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
Yeeah.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
You know, I think about the phone quite a lot,
and I I often go fuck the ship and I
just turn it off and I don't go on it.
I don't look at it for hours. I don't do
any because it causes me anxiety. It's a trigger for me.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
I was doing the same way yesterday. I was on
like one of the news sites and it was just
like one news story after the other, just horrendous. But
also you've got no control over it, sure, and there
were things that annoy me. If it's if it's got
no influence on New Zealand, why do I need to know?

Speaker 5 (04:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (04:53):
Do you know what I mean? It's like a woman
gets run over by, you know, a bulldozer in Taiwan.
I definitely don't need to know about it. Should They
just fucking pile all the ship on top of you?
And it does an.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Effect, honest, quite seriously, like social media does that to me.
Causes me huge anxiety whenever I post anything, which is
very rarely, or whenever I go on it, I just
get anxiety.

Speaker 5 (05:17):
I genuinely do.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
And it's like, but I'll go on Instagram seriously and
I'm not exaggerating. I'll last a minute and then go, nah, nah,
I'm not I'm not doing this because my brain just hates.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
It so much. It goes, no, don't you what are
you doing?

Speaker 4 (05:34):
Your algorithm is I'm just still be half.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
The freaking problem. Mine's all motorbikes got.

Speaker 5 (05:40):
To say on the algorithms.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Moggie just showed me something on his gorgeous women. You
showed me another one yesterday with asses and breasts on it.
Don't talk to me about algorithm quote and I quote
keasy yesterday.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
Why am I getting this stuff on my.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
Phone exactly what I said to you today? It doesn't
make any sense. I'm just I couldn't be less interested, Jason.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Seriously, with your social media, you're actually coming from a
point of view where the audience wants you to post.
I know, and we'll get around what you could post
literally your favorite teacup and everyone be like, oh, that's
that's cool.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
Yeah, but I would say some horrible ship to you
as well, your honker, And you.

Speaker 5 (06:25):
Know, I'll be honest, I don't read the comments, so
it doesn't bother me.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
I'll tell you what they are the show you guys.

Speaker 5 (06:33):
To read them out live. Yeah that's all fine, but
but it's true.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
You know, And I just I'm really aware of what
to trigger my phone is in terms of my anxiety
right and just going actually, you know, because we've got
a holiday coming up and I've been discussing that with
my wife because she doesn't have a holiday, and incidentally,
I have on another date for you guys, read the batch.
If you're interested, Oh, you're cool. The tenth of October,

(07:00):
that's probably good.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
Isn't he over? And he's over the folloween weekend he
goes away.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
The tenth of October is a Thursday.

Speaker 5 (07:07):
I gave the eleventh of October.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
The only problem with that, potentially Mike Manog's birthday is
on the Sunday, right, is on the Sunday?

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Okay, why don't we go September twenty eighth.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
Because I'm planning because what my thought was his birthday?
My wife, Oh is it really my wife?

Speaker 4 (07:26):
Yeah? Your wife? Yeah, my wife, yeah, your wife. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
She said, well, what are you going to do on
your week off? And I said, because she's not going
to have the week off? And I said, oh, I
don't know.

Speaker 4 (07:36):
Will you just go to the bitch man?

Speaker 3 (07:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (07:38):
I think so.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
But then I and she she said to me, well,
why don't you get the fillows coming over the weekend
of that week off and stay there and just.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
Stay there on your sneaky bat.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
I mean, I can do that weekend, absolutely I can.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
But and also she's she's going to take a couple
of days off work, so I'll have a day there,
probably get pretty steamed and then then she'll turn up
and that'll be it.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
And it'll be I've been a busy weekend it now.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
Wait, yeah, I've had some bad times. They're doing that
and it's not.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
Good on it. Yeah, have you really?

Speaker 5 (08:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (08:11):
I had.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
I had a shock of.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
The one you're not talking about when we were there.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
No, no, Noill, that wasn't chill.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
I'm still enraged by no one kids, I fucking care
about it.

Speaker 5 (08:24):
I was reminded, actually.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
All big and tough, Now, where were you when they
turned up taking your weekend off your hands?

Speaker 1 (08:30):
But he was telling us the same thing over again
about what he was going to go down and say
to them.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Replaying it in my mind, but you know, having found
out who they were. But anyway, having had friends over
there a weekend or two ago, I was just reminded.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
Of how lovely it is.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
And it was just just made me speeal about the
fellows again.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
Just go.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
I couldn't enjoy it again. It's the way to go, man,
the Sunday. Do you just come back on the Sunday
or do you need to be there in bed? And look,
I mean to be honest with you. The only person
that cares about my birthday in that house would be me.
Frank will be excited about cake. Potentially, I have a word.
I'll see what the guts is because that works for me.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
That we can probably could do that and I could
probably come back that day. You only get a day.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Yeah, yeah, I'll talk to my father and because I
think he comes back around that time from overseas, he can.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Just come as well.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
Yeah, why not, He'll be there.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
Don't worry about it. He'll be there when we turn up.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Do you do you reckon? You guys will get angry
while we're playing golf.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
Not angry.

Speaker 5 (09:33):
Oh look, I see myself very much effing and jeffing.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
But no, no, I think way difference between Evan and
Jeff and and being angry.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
I'm not.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
I'm not an ultra competitive good.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
I hate playing with people like that.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
And I can assure you that I am not like
But I I'll do anything of Jeff occasionally because I'll
pay abomination of that shot.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
I'll be doing. I'd be doing it every single shot.
I am fucking awful.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
Yeah, but you're chill about it though, No, I'll be swearing.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
Oh yeah, and it's weird. Isn't it, Because I'm not
good at it and I've never been good at it,
and I don't know why i'd expect yeah to any
other result other than a ship result. I've actually got
to get lessons. It's the any way forward.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Yes, well that's what that That was really years since
I've played when well, that was the thing where my
because when I went to buy the clubs of fellows
said to me, how long has it been since you've played?

Speaker 5 (10:36):
And I said oh, and then Gosh went.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
No, it's probably more like twenty when you played with yours,
And I was like, oh Jesus, but and they gave
me little taps and it just made it worse.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Yeah, did they You have to go through a phase
which I did, of picking up golf. Do I like this?

Speaker 4 (10:55):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Yeah, I do like this? Okay, Okay, Now I'll get
lessens and.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
I don't have to use that voice though, Jason.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Do I like this?

Speaker 4 (11:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (11:00):
Do I like this?

Speaker 4 (11:01):
And I like it?

Speaker 1 (11:02):
You get lessons and you turn to ship for like
three months and then all of a sudden it all
comes in.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
What I found when I when I played all the time,
was that I got to a certain point, which are.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
Still really ship and stayed there, and I just stayed there.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
I didn't I didn't go anywhere from that. Like if
I did a full round of golf, I'm expecting a
round of one forty, which is a shock.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
But you know, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
I reckon I would be I but the fatigue is
going to be the factor for me.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
A golf cart, then yeah, I think I will.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
Well do they hire them?

Speaker 1 (11:41):
You can hire them here, just that you know that
golf cart. Nine hole golf is not my idea of
playing golf because and it's fine, but not a golf cart.
I mean, oh good, Yeah, it's going for the big walk.
It's it's eighteen holes, it's chatting a phone off, just
yearning the whole thing. Nine holes doesn't quite do that.

(12:04):
But you can't go straight to nine holes. You have
to play quite a bit and then otherwise you're just sad.
Suck the whole round and.

Speaker 5 (12:09):
Do a thing. You know, I genuinely like smacking a
ball around because it's fun.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
You learned it so much, you haven't done it for
twenty years.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
Well, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Yeah, Well I had a constant partner and I don't
he moved.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Do you want me to be your constant partner.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
Well, we will see how we go on the first
round the kazy Yeah yeah, yeah, no, I'm sure you'll
be chill.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
I'm chill, of course, I'm chill.

Speaker 4 (12:33):
Got a feeling, yeah, man.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Hurdaki big show though, four to seven week days. Pretty
good on old radio. Hurd listening, it's really good. Seriously, man,
stop undermining us like that.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
