For some reason, all like my parents right hate it, right,
I think it's garbage and that generation, but like I
think it's terrible to taste as well up right, So
that generation, for some reason, they all think that it's
really bad.

And I'm like, what age do I have to get
to where I won't at McDonald's. I don't know if
that's true that everybody that age.

But they also the other thing that they do is
they so there's like ten stations, let's stay say, ten
different sports going on. Eyone's at there and that's just
for flitz that's five minutes I don't know, And so
they just go round and around. They just do it.
But that's the whole school and that's and so there's

no finals, there's no winners, right and therefore not a
lot of point. Right, Well, it's not at that school,
and that's so that's up to ten. I'm assuming, yeah,
because I remember they're definitely being rankings and stuff. They
must be a new year. There were there were rankings,
but they never got down to a final one a minute.
So you had six hates and you know, one of

the kids would win, but then on the other staff,
like hurdles, you would just do it and then keep
on going into the bell ring and you move on
to the next thing. So I'm loving the fact that
my kid will be exhausted tonight and won't stay up
until nine o'clock like she did last night. So that's good.
What it's all just, it's all just doing it for franky.
But the older kids, you would think that they would
want to be having a winner and a loser because

they go hard. And it seems because it's a natural instinct.

kids were. They're having a ball, not being involved in

What which of the sports that you witnessed? Did Mogi Jr?

The sprints? Wow? So during the sprints not fast, but
running back to a spot really fast. When it's a
competition and there's other kids around you, you're the concentrations
all over the show. So they're looking over there, they're
looking in the crowd for mum and dad. It was
it was fucking out. But then some kids are just
bullets and they also had I was walking in and

another parent said to me, I don't know about your
how your footwear is going to go today? I said,
was what he said, the parent race somewhere in tight
black jeans and jendles perfect. I said, yeah, I won't
be no, no, no, I won't do it. Well, this
is what I'm going to do because I didn't even
know what was happening. How do I have known? Pugs.

I'm still I hadn't even see what we should do
it next year, but I'm thinking I'm going to train
all year. I'm going to train for the next twelve months.
I'm just going to do sprints, going to sprint training
and next year old wear spikes.

For some reason, bearfoot was always faster than wearing shoes. Really,
like if when I used to do the sprints because
I was a sprinter, well you know that was my favorite. Yeah,
it was the shortest, just fellas James Kirklan, I was
the fastest guy in my school.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
Thinking it was such a title back in the day,
whoever was the fastest and you're still stoked about it
in primary school?

Speaker 1 (06:41):
What are you talking about? I know this is in
high school. Still this guy that I was a seventeen
year old you're the fastest kid at school? Did you
go around telling people that that you were the first? Everybody?

Speaker 2 (06:53):
Everybody knew whatever. I didn't know because that all sit
on the grandstand for the final sprint. My name was
cres back then a bird ship Chris. But I always
remember that like shot. I remember in primary school this
guy James Kirklin. He was real fast. I was like, fun,
I'm racing James, but to take my shoes off. The
guy I remember is Tama Perini watching at me.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Was so fast. He sounds fast.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
He was.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
It was fast as at your school. I don't remember. Bullshit,
No I don't. Yeah, bullshit, I was too you're in
the classroom, Yeah, you're walking for play. Though in the
class I was.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
Getting yelled at for walking the four hundred meters sprint
or I was that? The only sport I ever got
notes taken on, you know how, like the teacher will
take notes on who maybe could be competitive. The only
sport I ever got that done for was shop. Yeah, boy,
it was never going to be fucking fronts. Did you
birth the ship out?

Speaker 1 (07:45):
I berffed it? Man ship? Did you put that shot?

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Yeah, so that was good anyway, fun day. I can't
wait for ship like that. Like that sort of stuff
makes me want to become a parent because I just
reckon be so adorable. Yeah, and my kid been a
fucking win because I was the fastest at my school.

And if they are to you, that's right. And it's
hard for them to me up to a girl. Kids,
that's right. He's going to tell the other kids my
dad was the fastest that has school.

Was yours a special school? Keezy, can you not make
a nose? Fat noises? And the microphones because I heard
the lanes were extra lanes. Extra they had, they had,
they had, and they had like the sides on them
like at bowling alleys, so that I wouldn't Yeah, I

was faster, one hundred and twenty three secrets fast.

Fast as like you said, Bolt is nine something. Oh
my god, so I I remember. So year thirteen won
the sprint right at my school. And then you go
to Bay you go to Eastern Bay or Western Bay
or Bay Wide. Because I wasn't bad, plany got there
and I was like, fuck you. I got a day
off school and I just get to run one hundred
meters a bit.

I smoked. These guys came last year out of like
sixteen I had that. I went to, I went to
I won. I won the long jump at Saint Pet's
Silver Stream, right and then really yeah, and then went
to Wellington the Regional mcckefferny Shield, my son grad shield,
Kevity Shield, which is all the colleges at wherever the

fuck it was somewhere in new Town, and bro just
got fucking.

Smashed, Yeah, by some kids that are actually trying to
maybe pursue it.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Well, just yeah, because in year thirteen naturally, I mean
I was not year thirteen. I was thirteen. Oh you
were thirteen, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. So it was that
guy's six foot two. My wife I thought he was
a teacher. He's on the Broyds.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
My wife when she was like twelve, through a javelin
at athletics day and won the woman the girls javelin
at his school, which meant that her and her mom
had to go to a two day long comp over
the weekend, which was an hour's drive away, and her
mum was fuck it, and she's still talks about She's like,
I can't believe you did that. And then we got
there and Lucy could not only could you not recreate

the throw like she was throwing a good twenty meters
shorter than everyone else, but they had just stayed there
for the whole week.

That fucking sucks. But she's like, hey man' thirteenth best
at javelin for nine year olds or something. It's good
