Speaker 1 (00:01):
For all your mad bastards loving the Big Show podcast
Get up even closer on Instagram, YouTube and picture four
Dogs four to seven every weekday on the radio.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
You know there fellas, Hi, how you guys feeling? How
are you feeling?

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Mogy better than use today?

Speaker 4 (00:24):
You have a good sleep last night?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
No wake up at three?

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Do?

Speaker 3 (00:27):
We're not talking about this now? You went there, you
dragg and you're hangover us out. Yeah. I wake up
at about three three thirty and then I was just
going to get up because I was so wide awake.
And then I managed to go back to sleep about
five for an hour and a half, right, and then
I woke up feeling miles worse than when I went
You know, you know how that happens, feelers, And that's
my sleep story. Man, you missed out on that one

(00:49):
this morning when I was telling it that he retold them. Man,
I like hearing it the pugs as you should hear mine.
Oh you have heard it actually, because he dies that
twice in the space in three minutes.

Speaker 5 (00:59):
Yeah, I did it and hotel while you were drinking
you were hung over us out. And then I did
it again in the car.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Can I just say I was three minutes late, and
I apologize.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
I didn't notice it just did because the plane was
twenty minutes late. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
At the end of all, right, ye fucking oath.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
But I this morning, I woke up at three o'clock
and I said this earlier, but the worst d horrors
I think I've ever had, right, Like, it was like.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
I have to say, there's something about that because they
have the old school radiator heaters in there, yeah, which
was nice and warm. It was nice and warm, but
it cooked. Your hotels fucking sucks some of them with
the air con and all that. I would say most
of them. It's pretty rare for me to get a
good night's sweep because I'll wake up gasping. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
The aar con dries you out, drives you out, and
they hate yeah, so it's hard to get the balance right.
The fridge was really fucking loud. It was like someone
was starting a diesel truck and maroon.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
That was good. I didn't notice that, and I was like,
I often turned those off though, the fridge yeah, and woman, yeah,
because I have to do that. But yeah, but it
wasn't a bad hotel. It had a window to the outside,

(02:15):
which is better than the last job Marette feel Breaker
jail Break.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Can I say that free that christ Church when we
went break Free? Worst hotel? I reckon, that's the worst
hotel we've been put in. It beats the one where
you had to sleep under the steel or Jason to
sleep under.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
The stairs.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Time before you ever broadcast from it. And yeah, that
was like a motor in and we're all sharing rooms.
I was sharing a room with a guy that used
to work here.

Speaker 5 (02:40):
Ah, yes, really, so I don't remember him being there
at all.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Yeah, no he was. He was pretty chill.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Yeah, no, like nothing stood out, but you're still like,
you know, when I have a hotel room, that's so funny, I.

Speaker 5 (02:50):
Don't want to share a bog No, No, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
No, I don't remember him being there at all, because
I remember us walking around the streets recording the Sick
that was the Six Shops and all that was.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Yes, but he I think now this is what three
four years more, he was going and sitting stuff up
was shucks, our old producer.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
There they were doing that. They're fucking around doing.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
That and we were going walking around like walk out
of the six, Walk Out of the Six. I remember
that and that was when we kept putting Kenny g
saxophone on.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
Going through the bookshop and then it would cut me out.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Yeah, I don't remember what I was. That was funny
times on the it's good quality, man, that is good question.
That was when the big show was good. Now it's ship. Yeah.
You know you got all the fans out there listening,
they'll be like that.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
I reckon, it's getting better. I reckon, we're getting better
and better. I sound like I sound so different. I
wonder if that's the darts on.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
That last night. You sound how you always sound when
you're on the when you've been on the purse. But
lately it's not good man, good What do you mean?
It's not worried about you and your drinking. Honestly, you're
like Jason the ci Is and his vapes and that
off absolute pieces.

Speaker 5 (03:59):
Really normal g yeah, man, yeah, normal man.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Because how many beers did you get in and you
were drinking all through the show. Well yeah, but you
never got to the point where I was like, oh,
here we go, fucking Kesis Pursted again, looking at each
other again, here we go.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
I'm like watching all the chords over the laptop.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
We joke about some stuff A fellas no I reckon.
I had four beers during the show, but because we
were there for the old five point five percent hazes.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Right, that's what I was drinking all night.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
That smelled good.

Speaker 5 (04:32):
I have to say I love a hazy beer.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
They were hearty. The whole Arky Big Show week days
from four on Radio Hurarchy the Wracky Big Show Podcast.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
My wife because I had a I had a hazy
like a couple of weeks ago, and I was like,
to my wife, has he ever tasted a hazy beer before?
And so she had a hoon on it and she
was like, holy funk, that's like the nicest beer I've
ever had.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Real good. I went through a stint though, because I'm
not on at the moment, but they were smelling good.
Probably over a year of just not been able to
drink beer ever, really before I gave that bad night
on the person. Just like I'm over beers, man, over beers,
over beers. It's quite a long time.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
I've never got to that point. I fucking love beers.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
This beer.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Yea having a beer.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Man this morning when I woke up with the dry
horrors and a rager and nah, I couldn't muster a rager. Fuck, no,
there's not enough water in my body. Not that I water,
but I had using the plastic glass head like out
of the sink in the bathroom of the shitty hotel

(05:40):
and was drinking it tastes like ship, but I had
a couple of glasses of that.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Did you get your cap out of the right toilet? Man?
I mean out of the right thing.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
I don't know, man.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
All I could think was because the cups are sitting
in the bathroom, I was like, how many people actually
use these cups? Or has that cup been sitting there
for weeks while people have been coming into this room
taking a ship, leaving and.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
Just constantly going in and out. And then I was
drinking out of it.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
And it's nice that they sit right above the shitter.
I was about the people that will be nude and
rooting and jerking it and there. That's what I was
thinking about.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
That what gives me a little bit.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
But when I when I hop back in bed, and like,
I was pretty fucking like, oh my god, I didn't
realize I woke up to't know where I was. I
was like, I'm ndernaeding, that's right, and I'm hungover. And
then I was like, you know what, I might take
it easy.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
At Magic around this year.

Speaker 5 (06:27):
That's where it goes past.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
No, just it was I wasn't super hungover, I wasn't
super passed.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
I was just like, you're dragging your ass around.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
It was.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
And I said to you at the airport, Pegs, because
you see what have you done with Maggie, Because I
was in such a great mood. And I said to you,
it's when I'm around people that are hungover, it makes
me so happy because I'm not because I'm not drinking
at the moment, so it makes me super super happy
because thank god, no, not at all, but I'm so
grateful for the decisions that I'm making it at the moment,

(07:03):
so naturally round I'm not going to be happy at.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
All, none of us.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
But that's like literally in the moments, just like maybe
I just the Friday night of Magic in my head,
I was like, maybe I just don't have any beers.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
I percent, and I'm thinking the opposite. We're im going
to start drinking when we get to the airport at
seven in the morning. Yeah, and then when we get
over there because we've got nothing on the we have
to do some ship.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Don't we know.

Speaker 6 (07:25):
We're doing like a little meat and greet pre the
first game.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
That's literally just yes, that's all good.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Yeah, but that's like four. Yeah, I'm planning on being
paralytic by then because I want to be in bed
by Sex, which is New Zealand eight, and then I'm
brand new on Saturday.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
And you're up at two.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
But yeah, I don't know, because I quite like the trip.
I quite like the flights. I like the I like
the lounge.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
You like riding in the plane.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
I like the plane ride. Last time. I think I
had bourbon and coke because I was on the bourbon.

Speaker 4 (07:57):
And coat, especially because we're in premium.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
Yeah. So so I'm thinking, because what you've got is
you've actually got an opportunity if you get there early enough.
You get there early, you get passed up, you know,
not shock and burstard persed up, and then you passed
up on the plane more persed up. Yeah, then you
get to the hotel nap bang round two.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
I didn't like being having like getting pissed on the
plane last time, having right man, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
I didn't know.

Speaker 6 (08:25):
Maybe I didn't have the right amount respond because sitting
with Jiz it was behind me, but there was just
something like, I don't know, there was something about the
feeling of being like a little bit wobbly and then
being in the air and the dry air.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
And stuff like that outside and the free.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Air, and you should just stay home.

Speaker 6 (08:46):
To be a cocaine doesn't give you that much of
a hangover. I wouldn't know, I literally wouldn't have so
just stay off the beers. We didn't think you just put.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Out there really, but like he's got okay, Pugs. The
rule with those jokes is you have to have a
big nose to joke about other people's big noses.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
All.

Speaker 5 (09:08):
It's just it's a proximity thing, that is, it's my fault.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
And with the size of my honker, you're always in proximity, right.
You can't say that ship, but pleased to say that.
When I then woke up again at eight or whatever
the fucking time was seven, when today this morning, I
was like you, I'll be sweet, but like in the
middle of the night, I was just like planning how
I'm going to not drink a magic round.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
It's every time you do it, your head always does it.
And then as soon as.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
You have it as you get an old man, is it. Well,
that's you considering not drinking in which you never used
to that thought, did you. No, it creeps in because you're like, sorry,
this feels like ship. I'm over it. Yeah, So I called.

Speaker 6 (09:47):
I called my partner last night before I went to sleep,
and I was telling her about the show and stuff,
and I said, oh, you know, like it wasn't that
much of a big one, you know, like packed it
in probably like nine o'clock or something like that after
the show, and she's like, oh, yeah, you're getting on you.

Speaker 5 (10:01):
Yeah. Party, literally a whole bunch of beers don't like that.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
The live show. At the end of the day.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
She is dating an older gentleman, and this is what
I like.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Get used to your nursing you through your hard times.

Speaker 6 (10:16):
Bro.

Speaker 5 (10:17):
So yeah, training happ you have a bed and ship.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
You have to bullshit it though I had to bullshit
my way through it. Oh no, it's probably not true.
My wife was twenty six when I met her and
I was thirty seven. But I was still going hard.
I was going harder than you are now.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
You're fuck. He was going hard, man. You should seen him.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
You should have seen me I was a number one man,
I don't worry. I know.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
Actually, it's funny with this podcast. By now, Jas would
have been like, well.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
You should this morning when I was telling him about
my sweet It's don't real.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
But he does it in such a lovely way.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
It's just trying to relate, Yeah, by lying and one happen.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
Anyway. Listen to The Big Show four or seven week days.
All right, radio head okay
