First Date follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys
online at Advocates Law dot com.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Mac is on the phone today for a first day
follow up and he's getting ghosted by a girl named Becca.
So in a few minutes we'll call her and see
what sells why she's ghosting him, and maybe get him
another date. But first, Mac, how long has it been
since you heard from Becca?

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Been about a week since I've heard summer.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Have you tried to reach out to her.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Yeah, several times, you know, texting and left some voice.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Now nothing, So what was the last interaction you had
with her?

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Like, it was good. We went on a date.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
We met on him and then we we went to
this like little probably a little quiet romantic dinner white
qualth type place I like.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
To go out. She's more of a homebody.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
So after dinner we went back to her place and
you know, we had some wine. You know, we didn't
hook up or anything, but like I spent the night okay,
and then everything went great.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Did you guys in the same bed, Yeah, but nothing.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Happened, like we didn't. We didn't look up, like because
we were really into each other. We both feel like,
you know, you know, agree, like take a little slower
because this is this.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Is something good, you know, So yeah, I just I'm
really competed.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Did you guys like make out though, Like did you cuddle?

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Okay, it's important.

Speaker 5 (01:24):
Okay, so that part happened, So it's a very mutual
attraction as well. Right, did anything happen on the date
that was like I don't know, weird, awkward.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Not that I could think of, Like it just everything
went really well. And like I know when when you know,
I could be awkward or something happens like I've had
bad dates or whatever, but this doesn't didn't fall in
that category. So I you know, I thought everything was
going really.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
Well, Like we really hit it off.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
How were things when you said goodbye to her?

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Uh? Being fine?

Speaker 4 (01:54):
You know it seemed like we would uh like we
were going to see each other again.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
So did you stay there the whole night? Like did
you see each other in the morning or did you
slip out?

Speaker 4 (02:04):
No? I, uh well, actually I left a note on
her pillow, like I slipped out because she's still asleep,
and like I had to get up really good work
and I didn't want to wake her up, so like
I left her note.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Okay, well that's what your not.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
I just that I had a really great time and
looking forward to seeing you again.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Okay. Then did you talk to her after that?

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Yeah we did have a conversation Okay.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
I did. We were hanging up.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
I said, I love you jokingly but like like stare off.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Okay, Mack, you could have started there. Yeah on first.

Speaker 5 (02:43):
Mean some people would really enjoy that kind of a
joke because you're like, you're on the right track.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
What did she do when you said that? She just
laughed and you told her it was a joke.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Yeah, Like I said, I was like, I love you
like it was like a joke.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Like, yeah, maybe that could have been the like.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Paul, she knows it was a joke.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
How was her laugh? Was it like ha or.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
No?

Speaker 5 (03:08):
It?

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (03:10):
I mean we laughed together before and like assume Michael
Jenon on my house.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Well, trying to figure it out for your play song
come back and then call her and see if she'll
tell us why she's ghosting you and maybe get you
another date. Okay, all right, cool, Okay, we'll play a song.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Come back.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
I can get your first day follow up next friend,
your first Day follow up if you're just joining us.
Mac is on the phone and he's getting ghosted by
a woman named Becca. So we're about to call her
and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him.
But before we do that, Mac, why don't you catch
us up on your situation.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Yeah, we met on Hinge. We went on a date.
Everything was going really well. We went back to her place,
had some wine. I stayed the night.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
We didn't hook up or anything, but we did make out,
like you know, it was definitely it comes from there.
And when I left, I left her note, you know,
like I didn't want to wake her up, so I
just let hern over the pillow. I'll talk her the
following day. Everything some fine, and then just haven't heard
from her.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
Since you did tell her that you loved Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Yeah, as a joke. My life. She was a joke.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Okay, okay, all right, Well we'll see if that's it
or for something else. Are you ready to call her?

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Okay, here we go. Hello, Hi missing Tobecca.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Please?

Speaker 6 (04:37):
This is she?

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Hi Becca, how are you? My name is Jewbell. I'm
calling from a radio show called the Jebel Show.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Hi Beck that I'm Nina. Also on the show. Hi,
I'm Victoria.

Speaker 6 (04:46):
Hi.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Hi, what's up girl?

Speaker 6 (04:49):
Thank you? What's going on?

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Not much? Have you listened to the show before?

Speaker 6 (04:53):
I have? I'm very familiar.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Great, Well, thank you. We got an email about you
from somebody. That's why we're calling.

Speaker 6 (05:01):
Oh god, okay, Well.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
This is a first date follow up the segment where
if you go out with someone on a date end
up ghosting them, they can email us to get you
on the phone and ask why you're ghosting them. And
we got an email from a guy named Mac.

Speaker 6 (05:15):
Yeah, Mac, Okay? What did? What did Mac have to say?

Speaker 5 (05:21):
That got real serious? He said that you're ghosting him?
And he said that he liked you a lot. He
thought you guys really bonded. Said that you guys snuggled
on your first date. You didn't do, you know, all
the way stuff.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
He said.

Speaker 5 (05:35):
He did tell us that part, but it was important.
We just were doing a chemistry check. That's why we asked.

Speaker 6 (05:42):
Okay, okay, So I.

Speaker 7 (05:45):
Guess we'll just cut to it. I really liked him.
Mac seems like a really good guy. It was a
great date. I thought we were going somewhere. I thought
it had potential, and then there was a phone call,
and we hung up, and then like twenty minutes later

(06:05):
he called me back, and so I answered the phone
and I overhear him talking to somebody, and I realized
it's a butt dial.

Speaker 6 (06:14):
Oh right, And so.

Speaker 7 (06:16):
He's talking to somebody and he's from a lack is
better termed very encouraging.

Speaker 6 (06:24):
He was saying things like that's it baby, just like that? Baby,
Oh yeah, baby like that. Yes, yes, I'm.

Speaker 7 (06:35):
Hoping it was a fire and not him like intentionally
wanting me to hear him say things to another woman.

Speaker 6 (06:42):
So I hung up because I don't know what to
do with that.

Speaker 7 (06:47):
I was very upset because clearly he's not a good
guy and he's a player and fine, like, move on
to the next one, leave me alone.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
You never told him that you heard that?

Speaker 7 (06:59):
No him?

Speaker 4 (07:01):
You who?

Speaker 1 (07:02):
I mean?

Speaker 4 (07:03):
Dad?

Speaker 7 (07:03):
Something he does all the time, Okay, just I guess.
I guess this is what he does. He like spend
the night, and we had agreed. I think he's just
a player and a user and gross like no takes.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
And this was like right after he left. Pretty much,
this was a more so.

Speaker 7 (07:19):
The next morning he called me, so we talked and
it was fine and then twenty minutes later you were
like pumping or a woman and then you call me like,
are you out of your mind?

Speaker 2 (07:31):
I can understand why you're ghosting him then, because normally
that's not like.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
That doesn't make me. I get that.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Well, thank you for telling us that. Becca also Mac
is on the phone and wants to talk to you.

Speaker 6 (07:45):
Oh, I'm this is gross. You can't believe this is gross.
You spent the night in my house. We had a
great date.

Speaker 7 (07:59):
I thought you have potential and then you but guile.

Speaker 6 (08:03):
Me or intentionally? Who knows while you're doing who knows what?
Who knows you?

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Like?

Speaker 6 (08:10):
Is this a normal grows? I talk to you for
one time.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
I will.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
Go ahead.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
I have a puppy.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
She's been sick, she hasn't been able to eat, and
she's a little Maltese puppy named Baby.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
She was finally starting to eat.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
And I was encouraging her, like come on, baby, there
you go, very good job. I'm gonna teest your picture
of baby.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
Right down here you go.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Are you serious?

Speaker 5 (08:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (08:41):
I have a puppy. I have a Her name is Baby.
Her name is Baby.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Does sound believable based on what you heard?

Speaker 6 (08:51):
I want to I need to see this.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
I just sent you. I just text you a picture.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Can you see yourself doing that to mister Peeves your dog? Yes, baby,
go baby, just like that.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
I mean, I guess I would cheer him on if
he was sick and he was finally eating, I would
be cheering him on.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
I don't know how I would say it. I think
he just sounds a little more interesting because the dog
is named baby, right.

Speaker 7 (09:16):
I do remember whom saying get in their baby, but I.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Don't know, like getting the food.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
Yeah, I just really have it. She was eating. I
was just trying to cheer on. She hadn't eating like.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Today, so I was really happy that she was finally eating.

Speaker 6 (09:31):
I mean, this is true.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
That's actually really hilarious.

Speaker 7 (09:35):
Yeah, well, okay, I can confirm there's a very cute
dog that hasn't the intact it's as baby.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Oh okay, well that's awkward.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
But if that's I mean, that sounds like that's really
what was going on.

Speaker 6 (09:52):
I am so embarrassed.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
I mean, in your defense, Becca, I mean, how would
anybody take that?

Speaker 6 (09:59):
Yeah, yeah, it didn't sound good. But now yeah, okay,
well I'm so sorry.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Becca.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Would you like to go on another date with Mac.
We'll pay for it and you can meet Baby.

Speaker 6 (10:11):
Yeah, okay, I'm is that yes?

Speaker 3 (10:14):
I would?

Speaker 6 (10:14):
Is he open to buff?

Speaker 4 (10:16):
So sorry?

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Yeah? Of course.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
So I was wondering what happened, Like this is a
huge misunderstanding, so I'm glad we got to clear it up.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
Like, obviously, would love to see you again. I don't
want to the girlfriend player. You do have to share
me with baby though.

Speaker 6 (10:32):
