Speaker 1 (00:06):
You're listening to the All Sport Breakfast podcast with Dancy
Wildegrave from News Talks' b.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
It's another very attractive man, I might add, not that
I've ever met the bloke, but I feel like I
know him well. Jim Dole And how are you a
big fulla?

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Can you refer to me by my breakdancing name Electric Bugaaloo? Please?

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Are you still going on about that? Let it go?
Let it go. This is the thing, and I'm going
to talk about it now and I'm supposed to be
letting it go. But really, the whole Olympics, it was
two magnificent weeks of incredible sport. The Aussies ever pretty well,
they're mores of golds and all we can to is
bang on about some break dancer. Where's the positivity coming
out of the West. This is unlike you guys, It

(00:45):
really is.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
There's been a deep dive in the selection process. I
think it's going to go for a lot a fair
awhile now and it's.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Not coming to LA so it doesn't matter. Just let
it go, gone down the U bend anyway. But game
tonight focused though on someone who's not actually playing in it.
That sounds wrong.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Yeah, Well, when it's Littrell Mitchell and he's injured, you
can expect him to keep a very low profile. The
rabbito's playing the West Tigers. He's still injured with that
foot injury that kept him out of Origin three. But
the staff fallback has been issued with a breach noticed
by the club. He's got to appear before the board
to explain that photo. Who's him bent over a table

(01:26):
with white powder seemingly on there he was cooking where
Actually that's yeah, it could be anything, but it's not
a good look. He's going to get fined by the
NRL and possibly other sanctions, and it's believed some powerful
people at the club have had enough, even though he
signed until twenty twenty seven. Incoming coach Wayne Bennett has
always been a big supporter of Latrell, but there's some

(01:47):
saying that even his support might not be enough to
keep Mitchell. Although I can't see them sacking him, but
I'm not sure what they'll do, and of course then
how will it affect the team tonight? They're probably the
same bat as the Warriors. Can't make the finals, but
they'll still believe and they're playing the West Tigers team
that can't really beat anyone.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Is it awful when you get to the stage of
the season where it's gone beyond must win or mathematical
chants and it's all about playing for Pride's horror.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
All about making a good start for next year.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Yeah, it didn't work for the Warriors last night, so
let's hope it does a bit of this evening anyway.
Supercars on the return, what have you got for us
with the race cars?

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Right? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Will Brown? He you made a statement that he wanted
this to be the weekend when he ups the ante
and opens a gap on the field in the championship
in the supercars. But lo and behold. Dave Reynolds surprised
everybody at the first practice in Kazi. He's got the
fastest time and certainly in Tasmania, if you're driving a
Chevy you're pretty happy about it because it seems very
friendly for seventh days to circuit. The nine fastest times

(02:51):
on Friday all Camaros. Cam Water is the only Mustang
driver in the top ten. Now even more surprising, Reynolds
had early engine issues. He hasn't had a great run lately. Seventeenth,
I think and twenty first in his last couple of starts,
but he's confident he will grab his first podium of
the year this weekend. So yeah, he's pretty excited and

(03:12):
we'll see if that can come through.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
For Dave. I've got a soft spot for Dave Reynolds.
I think he's fantastic. There's a great drive and it's
a really interesting character. He just doesn't play by the
rules and you've got to like that. He's not a
cookie kind of character. Enough about that, What about the Wallabies.
The odds are not bad for them this time around,
probably because they're playing an e F team, right.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
They could do a few characters with a few characters too,
But yes, they say a week's a long time in sport.
I guess we'll find out. Because Joe Smith had to
sort out some issues after that thrashing by South Africa,
we weren't really expecting them to make as many changes
as they did the visiting team, but the Australian skipper
Alan alerta alert tower. He's vowing that the Wallabies will

(03:56):
be better in the scrum and the line out this
afternoon where they were just pushed around last week. He's
confident it's still a technique issue, that the new front
row is bedding down and that they can make strong
learning curve work. As I said, weeks a long time
in footy, especially when you've got a day loss to
travel when you go from the East Coast to Perth.
The other weird issue is strange. It's going to be

(04:19):
a wet game this afternoon. It's been dry for months,
if not years in Western Australia, but they've had plenty
of rain across almost the entire state this week and
they reckon. Between now and this afternoon kickoff there'll be
another thirty mials or more full, so they'll have to
screw in the long studs and get ready to grind

(04:40):
in the wet.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Similar problem and Nape. You're here in New Zealand. If
you want rain, just set up a cricket match and
sure as eggs it will turn up. Nice to know
that the way the gods are watching. Hey Jim, we're
flying mate. Thanks very much for your time. You look
after yourself, you handsome man. Glad.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
That's funny.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
It's twenty minutes to eight.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
