Hey, one hundred with Dave and Jen. I can't believe
I haven't told you about this yet. Have you ever
heard of a baccalaureate service? I'm sorry what bacalaureate? Are
you saying a word correctly?

Speaker 2 (00:15):
I am saying it correctly.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Well, you're saying it very quickly, right, bacalaureate. Baccalaureate, Yes,
bacalaureate with the t. That's correct. Becalaureate, becalaureate, how it's pronounced.
This is a service basically that Ironton High School still does.
I guess very few high schools in Ohio still do this.
And it is basically a student led service or ceremony

(00:38):
for graduates. Oh really cool? Okay, there was. They did
a few songs, a few students did some songs. There
were scripture reading. Some students, including my son Tyler, his
friends Cassie, Addie and Nick, got up and did a
class roast. Stop. Oh, that's not a good idea. Remember

(01:01):
me telling you about Tyler's class doing a senior Assassin challenge, right, yeah,
and Tyler had kind of gone crazy, he had multiple
kills and leading this competition. Yeah, and then they canceled it. Well, yeah,
they decided to restart. Yeah, that doesn't He wasn't happy
about that, so he threw down some jokes about that.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
Oh no, there was a certain athletic director that maybe
had shots fired.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Graduate.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
There's not a whole lot.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
But it was very entertaining and just a fun, cool service.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
I have never been a part of one of those.
I don't think I have either. That's nifty baccalaureate kept
calling it a bachelor service. I started to say, that's
what exams like. Tracy's like, Dave, that's not it. And
I said, well, I don't know how to pronounce it,
and she's like, it's just like it's spelled. Well, it's
that's B A C H.
