Dave talks about a creepy AI doctored photo situation.

situation that we have come across. Tracy has a friend
who received a Facebook request from a person she did

(00:23):
not know, but she recognized the profile picture looked very similar,
similar to a picture she had taken of herself with
her children. Wow, so let me explain. She's got a
picture of herself with her children and she gets a

(00:46):
friend request from a person who has almost that same
exact picture of this lady and three children. But they're
all in the same clothes. Oh my, only the are different.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
That's messed up.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
So somebody's gone into AI with this photo, right, and
I don't know how them change it up a little.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
They fixed the faces and stuff suit, so it's like
a little different, but not very much. Now. The woman's face,
like the mother in that second picture, is a different
face right than the actual person, And so.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Are the children.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
All the children's faces are changed too, but they're not
completely different, right.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
All their outfits are near identical. Like we're talking same color,
same color scheme.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
So the woman got a friend request from a woman
who had this picture as the profile picture.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Correct.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
So basically you're getting a friend request from a person
who has your picture with your children as their profile picture.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Right.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
That's frightening with different faces of course, as that friend
who requests is do they have any mutual friends? Do
they have any friends at all?

Speaker 1 (02:02):
The mutual friends were the children. The children had already
accepted this person that's messed up as a friend.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Have time to delete, time to block, time to report
it's AI. It's fake.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Oh my word, we're just allowing people to do this
kind of thing with AI.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Oh that's the thing. Just like the Internet, it's completely lawless.
You cannot add a law to the Internet when where's
the domain? You know what laws does it really fall under?
And now AI is completely open for all of this
as well. Heck, there are so many musicians right now
saying listen, these AI generated artists who are not real people.

(02:42):
They're just making money for whoever generated them. These are
not okay, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
It's crazy. And to go along with that, you've got
artists who there are videos out on the web of
them promoting a product or a service, yep, and they
never did that, not them AI. This is messed up.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
And I don't think we just let things happen before
we ever think of the implications. Don't wait, man. And
there was a huge AI boss who said, listen, it's
frightening how much we are not looking at regulating AI
right and just letting it go. And if we don't
stop it at some point, we'll never be able to

(03:23):
tell the difference.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
And it's going to be crazy and people are going
to lose jobs. I mean AIS, oh talk a lot
of jobs as well.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Absolutely it is. And then Lord only knows what else
it can do, especially when you think that you're I
don't know, meeting with a recruiter on LinkedIn or something,
and all of a sudden you find out, oh, that's
a chat bot. This is frightening, y'all. It's maybe it'll
get so out of hand that we'll just be like,
you know what, we don't want the Internet anymore and
we just drop it all. You think that that's sad,

(03:54):
I wish it would. Let's go back to the eighties, man,
where cell phones were not prevalent. Facebook wasn't even hurt.
Let's go back there. I'm down for it, all right.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
