Dave Is Not the Best Gift Giver 12/10/25

Dave talks about thinking he had a great idea for a gift... turns out it was NOT a great idea.

So I am not the greatest at picking out.

Gifts okay for people, all right, I struggle in that department.

But here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
The other night, Tracy and I are out. I know
Sarah absolutely loves Stranger Things. Oh yeah, okay, and she's
all about it. She's already all caught up. She was
caught up just I think, just like a couple of
days after the release of this new partial season.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Yeah okay, and.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
She can't wait for the new one right before Christmas
and then the last one New Year's.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Eve or New Year's Eve. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
So Tracy and I are out the other day and
we come across this Stranger Things hoodie.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Oh I took a picture of it. Yes, I hate
that thing, dude.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Since I saw Stranger Things, I just now anytime I
see a cloudy I'm like, what if lightning flashes and
there's this huge monster over the top of us? Like
it breaks me out every time now.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
And this I mean is a picture of some kind
of a monster looking thing, a very large spider esque
looking figure.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Some type of demogorgon or something I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
And then you can see underneath it the kids.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
The kids are kids, and it looks like it's kind
of like the sunset is behind it, kind of right.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
And then it says stranger things on us.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
That is this black hoodie. And I said, we should
get this for Sis. She's gonna love it. She's all
about stranger things. Tracy looks at it.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
She was like, Sarah would never wear that. That's what
I'm just about to say. I was like, are you
kidding me? She loves stranger things. Let's get it. Will
surprise her at Christmas. It'll be amazing. No, I won't.
That's what Tracy says. No, it won't. Listen. I said,
I do not believe you. And I said, so here's

what I'm gonna do.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
I'm gonna take a picture, will send it to her,
and you know, if it ruins the surprise, oh well,
but I want to know if she would wear it.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
She's not wearing that.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Hey, go on, listen.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
It's one thing to love a show. That's another thing
to want to wear the sweatshirt around all the time.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Okay, So I want to read you her text, y'all
text too much? What is happening? I'm getting to it.
You just hold on. I said, would you wear this?
Oh lord?

She responded, wy D, what are you doing? I respond,
that's what I thought. Mom said no, and Tracy responds
and says, what are you doing? And I said, no,
that's not what wy D stands for. Well, it stands
for why yes, Dad?

Speaker 2 (02:57):
And then Sarah responds, no, I would not wear that. No,
I would not wear that.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
No.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
W y D does not stand for why yes? Why yes?
Why yes? No.

Of course, you're like Phil Dunphy off of Modern Family.
He's like, you know, I know all the lingo and
the slang. You know, l O L laugh l loud, w.

Like nobody? That is not what it means. Apparently I can't.

I can't. Really.

I don't do well in the picking out the gifts departments.

Listen, gift cards are always a great one.

Well, okay, that's that card.
