Speaker 1 (00:00):
Would I lie to you? Charles and Eddie nineties at
nine It is Key one hundred with Dave and jin Hey.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Yes, so this is so sad.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
So I go down rabbit holes on Reddit and that
there was a situation where a person said that she
felt like her friends had been leaving her out of
stuff and so, and she felt like they didn't respect her,
so she just kind of once they missed her birthday,
she cut them off. She was like, you know what,
then forget it. We're not friends anymore. Now, she says

(00:31):
she regrets that decision because they haven't reached out to
her at all. And so, okay, here's a couple different
things with that. She says she's super lonely, which I
understand and I'm sorry for that. But basically she's saying,
are our friends that are just kind of like whatever,
better than no friends at all? No, I'm sorry, I
will put my foot on this one. No, I don't

(00:52):
think so. We had some issues with friends of Presley's
that they're what I would call a friend of me.
They're not treating her nicely. Yeah, but I feel like
this younger age, they maybe they're watching TV shows or
watching YouTube videos where people are just trashing each other,

(01:15):
and so it's like everybody in her class just.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
They're mean to each other all the time.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
They talk stuff to each other, and then that's just
the way they talk. And then they're like, well, I
mean that that's just how it is.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
I'm like, no, it's not. It's not like.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
I do remember in middle school having a couple of
caddy friends that were, you know, friends with me only
to get information from me, and then they would be
totally rude to me, so I cut them off.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Yeah, absolutely, I remember.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Middle school just seems.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
To be the years exactly.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Well, and she's only in fifth grade. We're still in
elementary at this point, so it is starting earlier, okay,
And it sucks because and I keep telling her, I'm like, baby,
you do not have to be friends with anybody who's not.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Nice to you. Absolutely, She's like, but that's how they
treat everybody.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
I'm like, don't be their friend at all, Like I
need that, listen. I had a great best I've had
several friends, and I've had several friend groups, and you know,
typically you just kind of grow out of them and
you move on and you find other friends. I actually
had to break up with a best friend at one
time because she was terrible. Like she she constantly disrespected

(02:17):
everything I asked her not to do, and she just
kept crossing that boundary and kept crossing.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
That line, and I was like, listen, I'm sorry. And
it sucked.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
It was not fun or easy, and it hurt me too.
I didn't like it because she was a friend, I thought.
But it's like, you know, you have to take.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
My views exactly, and life is so short.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
You need to have those people that are actually in
your corner in your life, you know, for.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
People that are going to pump you up.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Friends do not talk crap about you, Okay, I think
you should know that. So if anybody's listening that has
a friend who's like kind of mean to you, but
you're like, oh, but they're my best friend.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
You don't need that.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
And we should rethink.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
That there are people out there who will respect you
and be nice to you and be in your corner
all the time.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
So you know, think about that, y'all. Oh man, all right.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Oh my goodness, that is it for a Friday. It
looks gorgeous, foolish, so excited. Oh, get those hoodies out
and wear them to some high school football.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
There you go, you're going to write. I can't wait.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Okay, it's the Ironton Fighting Tigers and Fairland Dragons throwing
down at tanks some Memorial Stadium tonight.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Oh that's a big one.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
This guy will have a hoodie on.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (03:29):
Is Sarah and Tracy Jackson? Are they all?

Speaker 1 (03:33):
My dad will be there, I tell you recording.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
You're such a good man because your kids don't even
go to Ironton High School right now? Right?

Speaker 2 (03:42):
No, not right now?

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Jackson middle school though, Well okay, but he ain't playing
that is all right?

Speaker 2 (03:49):
At you know who do they take on? I don't know. Okay,
well I haven't checked out. I'm just you know, we've
got a busy scared check out the Highlanders and Highlanders.
So we've got such a busy schedule.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Uh No, I'm gonna be in my own home where
it's chilly outside, but I got fire on inside.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
We're gonna be watching spooky stuff. I'm so excited.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
I We're gonna get out and enjoy it.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
It's Monday,
