Speaker 1 (00:01):
Key one hundred with Dave and Gin hey man, Yo,
yesterday was kind of crazy, kind of crazy. So I
go to pick up Leo from daycare and I get
a call from one of his teachers on the way yeah,
and she's like, so, Leo had a pretty bad accident. Well,
he just basically she said that two kids, another little
(00:23):
boy and Leo were running full force, neither one of
them paying attention where they were running, No, and they
just bumped. They just went face to face. Boom, down
they go. And she was like, but Leo's lip is
pretty bad. So it looks like he probably has tooth
sliced the inside of his lip, and so it is
on the inside of his lip and it was a
pretty big gash. I'm not gonna lie about it. So
(00:46):
I get to the school and I see it. I'm like, okay, buddy,
come on, and she was like, I mean there was
blood everywhere. And we changed his shirt and I saw
his other shirt and there was blood all over it.
Bless their hearts. I bet it was crazy happening. But
so I get him in the car and I Uncle
Charlie because he's a combat medic, you know, in the army.
It was you know, he's retired now, but so he
knows about stitches and all this, and to see if
(01:09):
this needs a stitch, because you know, when it's a
three year old, you're like, do I want to go
through the pain of having him, you know, have a
shot for you know, numbing pain? And then is he
really gonna sit still for the stitch when it's in
his mouth? And you know, I didn't know if it
was just gonna be worse on him? Is it necessary?
(01:29):
And so? And I did. I mean, it is a gash,
don't get me wrong, right, but it didn't go through
his lip. I was expecting to see a hole in
his mouth, you know what I mean? And thankfully I
did not see that. So then I actually text Ash
Hoof because her husband, Haddocks, is an ear doc, and
so I was like, so, here's the video. I take
a video to show her what it is. And he
even looks at it. He was like, listen, it doesn't
(01:49):
look like it's even crossing the vermilion band, Like I
know what that is. Oh that is? But he sounds smart,
so I but no, he was like, it doesn't look
like it's crossing that. Honestly, I'd probably we leave it
alone to see if it maybe kind of comes together
and heels on its own, you know. And the mouth
is the fastest healing thing, you know, on your body,
so I know that it will heal well. And actually
(02:10):
when I picked him up, he was not crying at all,
and so they even said, you know, obviously when it happened,
he was crying. And so now he's good. We're in
the car together and we're talking, and he got to
have ice cream and popsicles for dinner last night, so
he was pumped. He was in a great mood. He
wanted to play and he wanted to bite dad when
he got home, and I was like, don't bite your daddy,
be careful. But it's like he's he was in a
(02:32):
playful mood, you know what I mean. So he was
feeling good, was even thinking about it. Yeah, and we
obviously gave him ibuprofen and I had him put his
ice pack on and I had him count to twenty
every time he held it on his little lip. But yeah,
so we're keeping him home from daycare today just so
we could see if he'll hill up a little bit better.
But bless his heart, he is an absolute beast. He
is a trooper. This boy, I mean, he constantly comes
(02:55):
home with all these bruises all over his shins and
his knees, And I'm like, buddy, what are you doing
at daycare? Is there a baby fight? Buck? And I
don't know about listen, just wait till he starts coming
home from football. No, Jaxon shows us new bruises every day.
I don't want my baby to have rouses.
