Speaker 1 (00:00):
Key one hundred with Dave and Jin. The longest running
Memorial Day parade in our nation is in Ironton, Ohio.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
That's so cool.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Happened yesterday. It was awesome. Nice listen. I'm gonna be honest.
I'm not usually a parade guy. I'm not. You know,
come on, a huge fan of parades period. However, Ironton
Memorial Day Parade is just special. It's different. It's just awesome.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
One hundred and fifty seventh year, by the way.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
It's incredible. That's awesome. Right, And here's the thing. We
don't always have a spot. We just kind of wing it. Oh,
we go down right before the parade sets up. You know,
the day before you have people putting their chairs on
the sideway. The day before June, we were driving around
Ironton and saw people putting their chairs where their spot
(00:56):
would be saved.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
That is nuts.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Some people were tying their chairs down, some people were not.
I mean, oh my, here's the thing. Our family, we
just walked down and show up and put our chairs
somewhere hopefully right. Sometimes we've set with my buddy Showpie
and his family. This year, Showpee was not able to
make it. He had to work. So we found mister
(01:18):
Danny and Susan Lane, our good friends, and there was
a spot right beside him, and they said, yeah, you
guys could sit here, And it was Ows that got
to hang out with him the whole parade, So awesome.
Then Danny says, Dave, love you, love your family. We're
never sitting with you guys at the parade ever again.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Oh what did you all do?
Speaker 1 (01:42):
We didn't do anything.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Oh, but tell me what you really did do.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
We just knew some people that had scort guns and
therefore we all got sprays. Danny was like, you all
know too many people. He said, we have never been
sprayed at the parade, and and I said, well, for
the record, neither have we. Usually we're back in the
crowd some but Danny had a prime seat right there
(02:10):
on the street. I would be so mad at you
and vance day Goddess. Our cousin Jack Thompson came over
and got ess, I mean, who does that? They were
walking around with square guns and no, I would not
be happy.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
I'm Danny Lane on this situation.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
And then Jackson's friends from the Ironton baseball team are
pelting us with Candy. I mean they were what.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Wow, violence erupted at the Ironton parade.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
No, it was awesome. It was awesome. And Danny and
Susan's kids were there, Nick and Kelsey and then their
grandson Colson. Oh yeah, I have to hang out with
him a little bit awesome. And it was. It was.
It was a good time. A good time was had
by all except for Danny and Susan Lane.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
So if you see them next year, just wave and
move on.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Heck no, oh we're camping rhyme mission.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
Well, then they're gonna be sitting there like, oh, don't
look up. Here comes safe, Here comes safe, don't look up.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
All right, Battle on the way at seven forty. And
our champion is Kara Husk from Sciotaville.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
That's all right, and she's looking for her third win today,
all right, Karra. So we need a male challenger to
take her on in the battle. So guys, if you
want to play, call right now three zero four six
nine seven w KEE or eight hundred and five y
