Speaker 1 (00:01):
All for one. I can love you like that, isn't
it beautiful?
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Oh? It's so pretty? And there's a country version as well.
That's right, John Michael Montgomery exactly. Of course, that man
is the king of all the country versions of those
amazing songs from the nineties. So good.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
I love both versions so much, right, all right, it's
Key one hundred with Dave and Gin.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
So I have been looking up for recipes. Yeah, for
Thanksgiving dishes.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Oh, okay, try to do something new this year.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Yes, So we always go to mom and dads for Thanksgiving,
and you know, Mom does the turkey and does all
the big stuff like the stuffing and the rolls, and
I think Angie does the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Those are two very important items.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
I mean, they really are. And then I always do
the deviled eggs, and I always do the corn casserole. Okay,
so this year I'm switching up the corn casserole a
little bit. So the corn castle I make for both
my parents house and Heath's parents' house because Heath's dad
said that the corn castrole that I make is just
like what his mom used to make. Yeah, so it's
like with corn bread filling, and then you do like
(01:11):
cream corn but also corn, like whole kernel corn, and
you also have I think sour cream is in it.
So it's really yummy and I don't know, it's flipping delicious.
But I'm switching it up this year. I'm not just
using regular whole kernel corn. I'm using the Southwestern whole
corn kernel corn, which has like little dice, green peppers
and red peppers, just little, nothing big, but just something different, right,
(01:37):
So I was like, ooh, that's yummy, So I'm gonna
do that. And then I also do all I always do,
the deviled eggs, and I need to. I haven't really
thought of anything different for that. Last year I did
do this like Mexican it was it was deviled eggs,
but it had corn and it had like tahen seasoning
and it was just really good. But I feel like
(01:59):
those are played out now. I want to do something different.
So I got thank that. But I did find a
recipe for a green bean casserole, which I've tried to
make before. And I don't like goopy green bean casserole
unless it's got a good crunch to it with the onions, right,
like these fried onions with it. I could never get
it right, so I stopped doing it. And now I
have found a slow cooker green bean casserole that, yes,
(02:23):
it is a little goopy, but not crazy goopy. So
I'm excited to try that. Whether it works well or not,
I don't know, partially goopy, but so here. I was
looking up things last night and I was like, yeah,
I want to make something different. I want to make
something amazing, you know, let's find something. Well. Then I
found some website that's like, oh, you can make everything
(02:44):
from scratch, let me show you. I'm like, oh no,
I don't want to make it from scratch. I want
to make something never I wanted to make it from scratch.
Here's I want like five ingreediest at most. Okay, I
make something from scratch, you kidd me. I ain't got
no time. Nobody got no time of that, o guys.
So yeah, so I was like, no, find me something easy.
(03:06):
So I did find like a carrot recipe, and carrot recipe,
a glazed carrot recipe. Oh gosh, they look so good.
Oh and what's this? Oh yeah for the crock pot
green bean castra. I did want to make my own
French fried onions, like instead of the ones that you
buy in the box or whatever and you pour them out.
I want to make my own. So you've got to
get your onions, and you got to get a butter milk.
(03:27):
You'll be making those from scratch. Well I will be
making those from scratch. But that one was easy, thank god. Listen,
you give me if it says like twelve or more ingredients, no, Surrey, listen.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
I will say. You're all about the veggies.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Oh yeah, heck yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Sounds like Angie's all about the carbs, which is where
I'm living.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Well, a lot of people are about the carbs, and
it's like you kind of have a veggie in there.
You know. You don't want your heart to explode on
Thanksgiving Day in front of the whole family. Amy, just one.
But you're all about you.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
I've heard you say green beans and carrots and corn.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
It yes, and I think we're gonna broccoli to Brussels
sprouts are usually made. We need Listen, you've got to days.
You need your veggies along with everything else that is
gonna kill your heart. All right.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
That is it for a Tuesday. Colder and kind of
gloomy and rainy and wet, beautiful, doggy, so gorgeous.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Absolutely, guys, take the dogs for walking out and the joy.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
That's terrible, terrible idea.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Oh no, it's gonna be gorgeous.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Hasn't gone on a walk for a week.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
I know, I know. The dogs keep looking at me.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
I'm like, sorry, guys, have a great Day's Eve tomorrow.
